Link | 1 | 2 | FEARvLOATHINC | FEARvLOATHINC | FEARvLOATHINC | Pronounced 'Fear & Loathing' johnny and Paul Szymkowiak conceived of FEARvLOATHINC back in 1990 following the demise of Wellingtons 3 Plastik Men (3PM). FEARvLOATHINC name is inspired by political references with some obvious drug-culture overtones. 3PM was Jason "Jache" Coley, Paul "Z" Szymkowiak and johnnychrome. We were influenced by the huge amounts of industrial dance music (EBM) coming out of Belgium and America. The Genre leaders Front 242, Skinny Puppy, Ministry, Clock DVA and My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult along with labels such as Play it Again Sam, Netwerk and Wax Trax were instrumental in motivating us to make electronic music in New Zealand. Some of our dance luminaries, The Car Crash Set, Skeptics, Projector Mix, ACHE, Trasch, Moral Decay, Dr VerSu V S, and The Headless Chickens are all world class bands". FEARvLOATHINC first releases were in on cassettes in the early nineties, "Fear & Loathing Affirmation" was the first self produced release in 1991 followed by "Sex Loathing" EP and "Cyberfusion" featuring Wellington artist Sarah Anderson. In 1994 the release of FEARvLOATHINC "Icon Fashion" Cassette/CDR laid down the blue print for the next 3 years johnny and Evan Roberts would spend recording and producing FEARvLOATHINC "Bombay Girl" compilation. 1995 saw the first complete demo of FEARvLOATHINC "Icon World". 13 songs programmed, recorded and produced by johnnychrome and Evan. As the project gained momentum a number of Wellington artists contributed to the album. Peter Jamieson:keyboards and synthesizers, Phil Knight:Guitars, Mal Mezweski:Keyboards and Vocals, Jason Coley:Violin, Blair Macfarlane:Guitars and Antony “Antz” Smith on live drums & percussion. "The 1st FEARvLOATHINC shows were johnnychrome & Paul Z and a shit load of samplers, synths and drum machines. We promoted ourselves as electronic musicians specializing in multi media performance art wank. Over the next few years we incorporated more musicians and more equipment and by 1995-96 the performances had grown to include live guitars and drums. FEARvLOATHINC was always a different beast live than on the records. The idea being that we would plan our shows around some full on rehearsal and incorporate as much live musicianship as possible. FEARvLOATHINC "Bombay Girl" album was released in December 97 and by then we had a line-up that could all play the songs spectacular, I would loved to have dropped all the electronica just to see if we could have played the whole set rock'n'roll style, bass, drums and guitars". "The core FEARvLOATHINC live line-up from 1995 to 2000 was Peter Jamieson (Dr VerSu V S) Keyboards & Synths, Malcolm Mezweski (Emulsifier, Meatware) Keyboards & Synths, Evan Roberts (Trash, Meatware) Live sound and engineering and CroMag from Premature Autopsy playing guitars. "Bombay Girl" album is essentially a compilation developed over the period 1992 - 1997. The album was produced by Evan Roberts and johnnychrome over a 3 year period and features a host of kiwi cyberpunk visionaries. A promotional video was made for "Two Steps (Forward)" and was nominated for a Flying Fish Video Award in 1999". "(Brand) New Home Terabyte Mix" features on the New Zealand Dark End compilation "v/a Blackmarket" released by Club Bizarre and 3 FEARvLOATHINC songs have been licensed to international compilations, "Two Steps (Forward)" and "Gintrap" are on the DSBP compilations "v/a Futronik Structures 2" and "Cyb0netix 99" DSBP are an industrial label in South America. The Track "Robotics' (U-Jak)" is on the Tinman Records compilation "v/a Ringworm V1.0". In 1995 johnnychrome and Peter Jamieson started developing material for a FEARvLOATHINC album called "Spacetown" with Peter Jamieson producing at The Original Music Workshop (OMW) in Wellington. By 2000 the "Spacetown" project had evolved into lots of different music and collaborations. New Zealand songstress Jordan Reyne collaborated with johnny and Evan on 4 of the “Spacetown” songs. johnnychrome vs jordan reyne. An electric soul groove with sensual vocal melodies. Chrome Reyne is a beautiful down-beat melancholia, the ultimate amalgam of johnnychrome and Jordan Reyne. Cafe Del Mar 25th Anniversary compilation features Chrome Reyne "Newex 01". Café Del Mar Press. New Zealand cyberpunks johnnychrome and Jordan Reyne have made it onto the legendary Café Del Mar's 25th Anniversary compilation. The pair submitted their track “Newex 01” to Café Del Mar. An internet voting system was set up to compile the songs on discs 2 & 3 with the kiwis making it through to be featured on the 3rd disc under the name Chrome vs Reyne. Ramon Guiral, President/C.E.O of Café Del Mar explains. "Our goal with the other two CD's was to promote new values with philosophies and styles similar to those of Café Del Mar. We made a request via the internet to unknown artists all over the world to send us their recordings, as long as they were unpublished. Of those we received, we made a first cut of some eighty recordings. We put them on the internet for three months for fans to listen to and vote on. We have picked through our web 82.372 votes of 37 different countries. Based on the results of the vote, we came up with the track listing for cd's 2 and 3." The submission to Café Del Mar yields more tracks featuring Jordan Reyne. Most of these tracks were completed in 2005 and available to download @ johnnychrome.co.nz over the period 2006/07. johnnychrome & jordan reyne feature on Creepshow Productions 'Something Wicked This Way Comes' compilation.

Cascading Slopes is the new project of Jacob Graham, founding member and synthesist of indie-pop group The Drums. He began his professional music career a decade ago touring and playing synthesizers for the seminal Christian synth-pop band Joy Electric. With Cascading Slopes, Jacob returns to his roots, once again surrounded by radiant, intricately layered synthesizers crafted in the fashion and discipline of the great synthesizer pioneers of old. Electronic music's propensity for the experimental and the avant-garde is all but absent here, replaced instead with concise songs arranged comfortably in the popular folk style. In concert Cascading Slopes is a fully realized electronic chamber orchestra with the assistance of David Barnhart and René Pérez on synthesizers and Caleb Graham providing live electronic rhythms.

Link | 1 | 2 | Thomas Donovan | Thomas Donovan | Canada | Thomas Donovan | Thomas Donovan is a Canadian dance-pop singer-songwriter and recording artist born in Vancouver. He was known in the 1990s for his string of radio and club hits.[1][2] Thomas' most successful electronic music works include "A Calling Around The World", "Total Controller", "High Time", "Colorcode", "All We Need For Christmas", "She'll Do What She Wants", "Trapped", "This Time I Feel It", and "Yesterday's Dream".[3] Vancouver radio station Z95.3FM originally discovered Thomas Donovan and play-listed 10 of his songs over a 5-year span (from 1992 to 1997).[4] Other initial supporters included Vancouver's LG73 radio and Seattle's dance station C89.5FM. Top-40 radio support in both Vancouver and Seattle became a spring board for Thomas' dance music to jump to other stations and club circuits across the U.S., Canada and abroad.[5][6] Thomas mixes human rights and global activism lyrics in his exploration of synth-pop music.[7][8] Thomas' release "Calling Around the World" is a visual and lyrical call to action, inspired by concern for environmental issues and the greater human condition.[9][10][11] Thomas directed, edited and produced the first history documentary of Vancouver's lesbian, gay, transgendered and bisexual community.[12] Thomas' support for human rights and same sex marriage is reflected in his musical and video works, as demonstrated in his sexually and politically charged dance-pop dynamo titled "What Our Love Is Made Of".[13][14][15] "He had a big hit in the '90s with "Total Controller" and Thomas Donovan is still playing in the same electronica pop/dance sandbox. The biggest hook on a pretty hooky song is that insistent beat holding all the swirly stuff together, kinda disco with computers. " – John P. McLaughlin – Vancouver Province Newspaper[16]

Link | 2 | 1 | No Name Desire | No Name Desire | Praha | EBM/industrial | No Name Desire | Members -- VeNa, Neural_I, Were The band No Name Desire was coming into being during the year 1998. Current crew was complemented in 2001. All the members of the band take part in composing the music. The concert setup is VeNa - keyboards, Neural I - drum pads and Were - vocal. Old school EBM appearence as well as back screen projection corresponding to their music characterize their shows. As for the sound, the band draws on old school EBM especially in the fast and marked rhythms, compact bass line and distorted vocal that NND enriches with elaborate melodic elements. The aim is not the simple machine-like rhythms characteristic for the beginnings of electronic music, but rather emotional dance tracks reflecting the feelings and mood of people on the brink of the age of cybernetics. Lyrics are clearly derived from the cyberpunk literature heritage that has by now become diffused in commercial movies and post-cyberpunk literature, but in the works of EBM bands it survived in its true form, describing the dark vision of a technocratic society governed by multinational corporations and agonized by never-ending internal conflicts. Radiation polluted deserts, cracked walls, desintegrating iron beams as well as shoreless wastelands of the human soul - first album "Wastelands" that have been released in september 2004 by monopolrecords , contains all of this. Now we are working on the second one, promo containing 5 songs will be released very soon... |

Link | 2 | 1 | Purple Mountain Peal | Purple Mountain Peal | Enna | Purple Mountain Peal | Purple Mountain Peal is a project where improvisation and live sound processing interact as in a post-nuclear jam, thus creating music which flows and spins and ricochets and soars up to the sky, to finally reach the centre of the earth. Ambient music for humanoids stranded on whatever desert shores remain when everything disappears. Sheets of sound, minimalist patterns, quirky melodic structures and the odd jazzy touch float free, sometimes backed by Pulsar-like rhythms, whispers from faraway planets of the mind, and drones which carry the listener out and away. Personnel: Gaetano Fontanazza (live sound processing, guitar, electronics, post production) has been active for years, producing ambient music as Pseudo, as a member of Italian-American project Usit, with Jeff Duke, and as a member of the electronic band Nen.T.E. Tony Colina (piano, keyboards) has been involved for years in several musical projects, spanning a variety of genres.

Link | 1 | 2 | Ed Tomney | Ed Tomney | Ed Tomney | Film scorer, composer, and producer for theater, dance, radio, television, and feature films. He began his career in several rock bands in the late 70s. Based in both New York and Los Angeles, his compositional technique is a unique blend of experimental-classical music and ambient acoustic sound. He has composed music for theatre, dance, performance art, sound installation, radio, television and feature film, receiving numerous compositional awards and fellowships in the U.S. (NYSCA, NYFA, NEA, Meet The Composer) and Europe (ORF, Vienna). Studying woodwinds and composition in his earlier private education, he went on to form the rock band The Necessaries, discovered and produced by Velvet Underground alumnus John Cale. He later went on to form The Industrial Orchestra, a 15 piece ensemble consisting of computer controlled robotic electric guitars and live musicians, performing large scale anthemic concerts in museum and theatre spaces throughout the U.S. Another aspect of Ed Tomney's work in acoustic art involves spoken-word fragments and multi-linguistic sound collage used as musical components in his scores and broadcast material. A main signature of his work in composition is this combination of musical/sound idioms and imaginative blends of Eastern and Western musics.

Founded by Brandon Cruz (guitar), his intent was to score soundtracks to films that have yet to be made and sites Arvo Part, Ennio Morricone and Beethoven as his main influences. After many lineup changes, Brandon eventually enlisted his brother Chris (bass/vocals) and childhood friends Etienne Vazquez (guitar) and Danny Moncada (drums) to round out the group. It’s safe to say that So Hideous write music a little differently than most bands of their genre. Each song starts off being written on piano with the orchestration built in next. The guitars, bass and drums fall into place only after the orchestral foundation is complete. Brandon Cruz - Guitar/Keys Chris Cruz - Voice/Bass Danny Moncada - Drums Etienne Vazquez - Guitar

Link | 1 | 2 | Gaia's Pendulum | Gaia's Pendulum | Gaias Pendulum | Goth metal band from Medellín, Colombia. Looking like a prophecy the group was formed in 1995 under the name of Afliccion. Truly this was it gave the feeling that the last form January 26, 1997 at GAIAS PENDULUM entity, because this name is in the definition of our concept. Man as part of the whole, his feelings, his thoughts, what makes us human and all factors that our Mother Earth (Gaia) gives our lives to see our insignificance against everything besides our conflicts within ourselves and a concept called Violet Gothic musical that gives us the deepest feelings with the idea of being "Man Hurts". In those first days of life as Gaias Pendulum consisted of Andres Merchan (Drums), Miguel Gongora (Keyboards), John David Palacio (guitar), Johan Erebor (Bass), John D.Duque (Voices). This training bore fruit primordia, songs like Paradise and Autumn came to consolidate the sound, this led to the need to include another guitar to give a more solid feel, this would be interpreted by Hernan Yepes. Now with the equipment, we worked on a concept of Live Body Art and uniformity in the image of the members to show that each concert is a gala evening where the group is the host. We did several concerts before considering a recording. In 1998 he recorded a promo that was titled "Tears of Sand" with four songs, solofue promotional and went on sale. Since the year 2000 it was decided to record the first album to be entitled "Vite". Life, evolution, metamorphosis was reflected in the name that prompted each member to keep working and see how it was accepted by the public in each of the concerts. This album was recorded by Jorge Jorge Mejia Ceballos and the Fish Studies Medellin / Colombia during March-April 2000 and was released on July 15 of this year by Debelis Records (Argentina). The evolution and transition have been an integral part of the group and as every living thing has had its critical periods, after a while Erebor Johan decided to leave the project leading to a short transition period where as for reasons of fate reaches Gaias Pendulum a new bassist, Adrian Diaz comes to fill and provide feedback that route again the band's musical work. Already for 2002 shows a significant change in the group's formation as D.Duque Juan leaves the country to fulfill their duties of family man. Giving the group a full sabbatical exchange of feelings, now comes to work for a short period Freddy Ruiz who with his stage presence gave a very interesting group vision, we conducted two concerts with him but could not continue on the basis of time, this gave confidence to the group and with all the experience I had had in the vocalization is decided not to incorporate a new vocalist but follow five members and assume that role. Adrian Diaz currently assumes the leading voice in addition to his role as bassist, and vocal work Hernan Yepes Miguel Gongora and giving new directions to build style and vocals. For 2003, work began production of the new work is titled "Scarlet Visions", this name was given because there was a contribution of all members for the thematic focus of the disc. A uniform view seen through five different lenses. For this production is also recorded in the Fish Studies also signed a contract with the record company decides Hateworks also buy the rights to the first album, which was reissued in deluxe edition with a multimedia track. "Scarlet Visions", second official release (HateWorks Records, 2004), recorded in Medellin as a major conceptual bets that have been generated in the metal of the country. Gaias Pendulum claimed his toe position american gothic metal scene with this concept album, neat and evocative (even beyond what a label might suggest obscurantist among the common public). The contemporary and conceptual development of this piece is beautifully planted gardens between the cover and the valleys of the last chords of the track list. GAIAS PENDULUM literally means: "The balance of Mother Earth", our theme is about the man from his vulnerability as a living and this struggle as a balance against their own existence and nature. Emotions like anger, disappointment, sadness, loneliness, forgiveness, are the common factor in the compositions. VIOLET GOTHIC conceptually express ideas and feelings that show the duality between light and dark, beauty, horror, deep melancholy and sadness.

Familiarized with techno music in the mid 90's he started as a DJ in small Acidcore, Hardcore and Trance parties, including the legendary 2003 edition of "Castle of Mesocco". Here he met an Italian friend who asked him to play in Firenze, where he was finally introduced to the magical world of synths. He immediately developed a passion towards electronic music devices especially towards analog synths, which allowed him to produce pure Psychedelic music. He then decided to create some serious Psychedelic Trance and it's from those vibes Astral Gnomix is born.

Link | 1 | 2 | Juan-Carlos Formell | Juan-Carlos Formell | United States | Juan-Carlos Formell | Born in Havana in 1964, Juan-Carlos is a fourth generation musician. But the restrictions of the government-controlled music industry in his homeland made it difficult for the singer/songwriter/guitarist/bassist to express his new ideas. In 1993 he fled to the United States, to make his own music, his way. He went to New York where he established a band, and in 1998 he was signed to the world music label Wicklow Records. His years of struggle in exile were vindicated when his debut CD, Songs From A Little Blue House, received a nomination for a Grammy in 2000. His next release, in 2002, was the critically-acclaimed Las Calles Del Paraiso (EMI Latin). Then, after several years of touring with his band and some major concerts – with Buena Vista Social Club veteran Eliades Ochoa, and world music stars Cesaria Evora, Milton Nascimento and Susana Baca – Juan-Carlos decided to take on the challenge of a solo guitar project. Inspired by a sojourn in New Orleans, Juan-Carlos returned to the Crescent City in May of 2005 to record Cemeteries & Desire, which was released by Narada Records in August 2005. The album features powerful original ballads – songs now haunted by the devastation of the city. His current project, SON RADICAL, is the spontaneous combustion of rock en clave that came out of Los Angeles recording sessions with two other exceptional Cuban musicians – drummer/producer Jimmy Branly (of NG la Banda) and bassist Carlitos del Puerto (of Caravana Cubana).

Tracks by Taye appeared on Hyperdub's 2014 compilations Hyperdub 10.1 and Next Life, and the label signed him, releasing his debut vinyl EP, Break It Down, the following year. His second EP for the label, Move Out, appeared in 2016. ~ Paul Simpson

Link | 2 | 1 | Griselda Sanderson | Griselda Sanderson | United Kingdom | Griselda Sanderson | Based in South West England, Griselda Sanderson is a musician and producer who plays traditional fiddle, violin, Norwegian hardanger fiddle, viola and nyckelharpa – a Swedish bowed, keyed fiddle with sympathetic strings. One of six musical children of violin-maker Derick Sanderson she grew up in Clackmannanshire, Central Scotland, attending the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama as a youth as well as playing in the National Youth String Orchestra of Scotland. She went on to study at Dartington College of Arts in Devon, attaining a 1st class BA Hons degree in Music and Composition and a PhD in Musicology on the subject of traditional Scottish and Irish folk music and its integration onto the internet. Recording/Producing Projects In 2015 Griselda recorded, produced and released four albums on her Waulk Records label: Westcountry mandolin player James Dumbelton’s ‘Houmet Paradis’, her own second nyckelharpa album ‘Radial’, young Irish/Breton trad. duo Freya Rae & Louis Bingham’s ‘Curlicue’ and the third album from Moroccan Gnawa master Simo Lagnawi entitled ‘The Gnawa Caravan: Salt’. She also performed on three tracks on this album as well as guesting on one of Freya & Louis’ tracks. 2014 saw the release of ‘The Gnawa Berber’, Simo Lagnawi’s second album. In 2013 Griselda produced and released new albums on her Waulk Records label by fellow World Music Network winners; Senegalese singer Amadou Diagne’s second album ‘Yakar‘ and Simo Lagnawi’s debut ‘Gnawa London’. On ‘Yakar’ Griselda also played violin and nyckelharpa. Griselda first began producing with her band Waulk Elektrik, with whom she set up the label Waulk Records. The label now specialises in projects related to the traditional music of the British Isles and Northern Europe and West and North Africa. The group Waulk Elektrik produced two albums, UM-Di-UM and House Music. After the band’s demise Griselda produced a solo album Harpaphonics featuring the nyckelharpa and fiddle, which was released in 2009 to great critical acclaim. Guest musicians on the album included Max Moya Wright (Ojos de Brujo/Man Ex Maquina), James Dumbelton (Jackie Oates Band), Samuel Yeboah, Louis Bingham, Josh Stopford (Yes Sir Boss) & bassist Riaan Vosloo. Harpaphonics was listed at number five in the Top Ten Best World Music Releases of 2009 in the Sunday Times. Griselda’s interest in oral traditions led her to work alongside African musicians, and in 2010 she joined forces with Gambian riti player (a one-stringed West African fiddle) Juldeh Camara to form the group Julaba Kunda. In 2011 she produced and released a collaborative album Traders on the Waulk Records label that combined and contrasted their fiddle traditions from three thousand miles apart. She has written published articles on cross-cultural music collaborations. Live performance work Griselda’s current live project is her band Radial, touring with music from her latest highly acclaimed album of the same name. Members are guitar/cittern player Louis Bingham, violinist Michalis Kouloumis and percussionist Jim Palmer. For more information visit the ‘performance’ page. In 2015 performance projects included ‘Tithonus: 46 minutes in the life of the Dawn’, a piece for spoken word and nyckelharpa (a Swedish bowed keyed fiddle) by poet Alice Oswald, which was performed at Darlington International Summer School’s concert series. Griselda also performed in a season at Shakespeare’s Globe in London in their latest production of ‘As You Like It’ starring Michelle Terry. In this production she played nyckelharpa and hardanger fiddle. From 2012 to 2014 she toured with the Amadou Diagne Band and also worked with Moroccan gnawa master Simo Lagnawi in his group Gnawa Blues All-Stars. In 2013 Griselda performed on stage with the Royal Shakespeare Company (The Winters Tale directed by Lucy Bailey with music by Jon Boden) alongside actors Tara Fitzgerald, Rakie Ayola and Pearce Quigley. Other music theatre work includes The Devil’s Purse by Angelheart Theatre (2012). She has also performed in films, including Mike Figgis’ Miss Julie starring Peter Mullan & Saffron Burrows (1999). Griselda’s first band Waulk Elektrik, formed with her brother Larry, toured extensively in the 1990s playing at festivals such as Cropredy, Towersey, Sidmouth and WOMAD. They combined traditional Scottish jigs and reels with more contemporary dance beats. Teaching Griselda has taught folk fiddle and nyckelharpa. A keen advocate of the benefits of community music Griselda has promoted traditional music in her locality, running fiddle groups, folk music sessions and workshops as well as giving individual lessons to all age groups. She taught music performance to undergraduates at Dartington College of Arts for ten years. In 2009 she co-wrote a Popular Music degree course for University College, Falmouth, which has now been implemented.

Link | 1 | 2 | Aigues Vives | Aigues Vives | Aigues Vives | Aigues Vives was founded in 1971 in Germany (in the area nearest to the border of Belgium). The group named themselves after a French town which refers to Latin ‘aqua vivae’ or ‘living water’ or ‘prosperous fountain/source’. The band was first influenced by the English progressive rock scene. After some changes, in 1974, they turned to folk instead. The repertoire at that time included French and Irish folk songs. Late 1980-early 1981, as a 6-piece group, they recorded their first album called “water of seasons” which was published as a 1000 copies limited edition. After that the group evolved towards a more rock sound once more. In 1983-1984 they recorded a 4-track cassette “dwarfs casting long shadows”, which can be found here as bonus tracks. It was intended to present the first ideas for a second LP which never came. The CD reissue was taken from the master tapes. The tracks of the LP have a fine Folk-Rock sound, with English vocals, and bit of improvisation with violin or flute to the guitars, which provide mood flavours, while always remaining within one sort of comparable drive. In that way the dreaminess of the improvisations only provide a fine and enjoyable somewhat progressive folk sensibility to the songs. The tape has two sorts of directions, a traditional or medieval bard-folk flavour in the songs, with dominating accompaniment of guitars, and use of vocal harmonies and some flute, as if related with some story telling reference on stage, while “E Pericoloso Sporgersi” is more progressive rock led by electric guitar (with bass and drums) and a bit of simple keyboards. In some way a strummed rock singing core is noticeable everywhere as a fundament for further arrangements. On the tapes their new musical direction does not come out extremely well yet, but the group never seem to have had the chance to put these new elements into a bigger context.

In 1991, having spent seven months walking across the Horn of Africa with her five children to flee the civil war in her home country of Somalia, Maryam finally found refuge in Denmark. In happier times she had been the voice of Somalia, singing a remarkable hybrid sound of African and Arabic influences combined with western pop styles, known as "Somali Jazz". The worldwide release of Maryam's solo album "The Journey" (1998) has since brought her much recognition in the west, and her amazing indomitable spirit ensures she's given a heartfelt welcome wherever she sings.

The love for music lives in me since a very early age, my father is a musician and over time I was instilling the interest for this art. Somewhere around the age of 10, I got my first guitar and my father began to give me some lessons. During my evolution as a producer, I was involved in several projects of which some tracks were edited for compilations of record labels such as Ajnavision Records, Plusquam Records, Peak Records, Psyderweb Records, Audio Aashram, Woorpz Records, Quantic Chill Records, Dark Records, Heart's Eye Records and Kagdila Records. My first album “Chill in Tribe” was released by Ajnavision in 24 July 2010. I’ve been participating actively in several events, from big festivals to smaller events in bars. To name a few, among others are ZNA Gathering all editions, Boom Festival 2006/2008/2010, Hadra festival, Freedom festival, etc. In parallel with this solo project, I also participate in Angular Momentum (Experimental Ambient), OCO (World Music/Fusion), Random Mode (Psychedelic Trance), Fluorest (Psychedelic Trance) and Wireless Brains (Progressive Trance).

For reasons that remain unknown, the name was borrowed from a 1980's British soccer player of Afro-Caribbean origins. In Italy, between 1994 and 1999, the so-called Luther Blissett Project (an organized network within the open community sharing the Luther Blissett identity) became an extremely popular phenomenon, managing to create a legend, the reputation of a folk hero. |

The original line-up consisted of: Stella Anscombe (vocals), Leoni Nicol (vocals), John Ellis (vocals), Paul Hayward (Guitar), Mark Gresty (bass) and Wayne Calcutt (drums), After recording a first BBC session for the [a=John Peel] show (broadcast October 4, 1978), Nicol and Anscombe left the band and were replaced by Carole Brooks and Tracy Spencer. Following a second BBC performance recorded January 31, 1979, The Molesters were signed to East London Independant label [l=Small Wonder Records] in early 1979, where they released two singles. Discouraged by tepid reviews and modest sales figures, the band dwindled to a three-piece by May 1979, consisting of Ellis, Gresty and Calcutt. During the second half of 1979, The Molesters continued with a reformed line-up consisting of Tom Maltby (lead vocals), Paul Hayward (guitar/backing vocals), Wayne Calcutt (drums) and Paul Martin (bass), before finally calling it a day by the end of that year. Mark Gresty and Paul Martin went on to form The Relatives who later became [a=Life Size Models].

Link | 2 | 1 | 6:33 | 6:33 | France | 6:33 | [a2017327], the deformed mutant child born of Tim Burton, Devin Townsend and Mr Bungle's threesome, was created in 2010. It released its debut full-length "Orphan of Good Manners" in 2011 (M&O), that gave them an immediate acclaim by the press, and the start of a increasing dedicated fan base mesmerized by their psychotic grooves boogie-ing over a rocking alternative Metal basis. The band has absolutely no stylistic boundaries, it's a musical UFO. After a full year of touring, securing notable opening slots for artists such as Devin Townsend or Shaka Ponk, a second album was ready to hit the world. Featuring Arno Strobl (Carnival In Coal) and Rorschach (the band's new lead singer), "The Stench From The Swelling (A True Story)" is a new inception into the twisted universe that 6:33 is trying to save himself from. Once again it was a huge success acclaimed by the press and the audience, eventually making it as Season Of Mist's (their French retail distributor) best-sellers lists upon release. Their third opus “Deadly Scenes”, produced by Kaotoxin Records, was released in January 2015. Dealing with the Seven Deadly Sins, 6:33's virtuosity claims here its will to reach operatic senses, oriental rythms mixed to their usual violent rock. Multiplying the references (Danny Elfman, Ennio Moricone, Queen, Pink Floyd...) the band goes further into twisted universes and highly creative figures. A journey into these unusual atmospheres takes us into a weird concept that just makes us want some more. Acclaimed again, some say that "Deadly Scenes" is already the album of the year. After a few shows defending this new album on stage, the press put the "new masked avengers" (as they call themselves) on the list of the best live performers. To be continued...
