Link | 1 | 1 | Plug'n'Play | Plug'n'Play | Plug'N'Play | Goran Beg, Zoran Mandić, Predrag Novković, Srđan Slankamenac Plug’n’ Play band was formed in Novi Sad, in November, 2002. Initial band members were guitarist/vocalist Goran Beg, bassist Zoran Mandić and drummer Predrag Novković (ex Porshe Lynn). Two months after the band had been formed, Vasil Tomov-Flipp was recruited as the band’s leading vocalist and Goran while retaining the responsibility of the guitarist, accepted the new role of the supporting vocalist. As the band members were becoming more acquainted with each other, they also became more musically attuned by playing mainly interpretations of popular rock songs. Plug’n’ Play had it’s debut in front of a live audience in Novi Sad Night Club Enter, in April 2003. The live performance, included interpretations of the bands such as Pearl Jam, The Cult, Neurotic Outsiders, Let 3 and Supergrass. This live performance marked the end of the first phase of the band’s development. Consequently, the band decided to create its own music, which in essence was inextricably influenced by the worldly renowned aforementioned bands, including also Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave, Tool and Faith No More. In autumn 2003, due to differences in musical preconceptions between the band’s leading vocalist and the rest of the band members, Flipp decided to leave, which in turn slightly delayed musical productivity of the band. Nonetheless, the band continued working without a leading vocalist until February 2004, when Srđan Slankamenac -Slani (ex-Post Scriptum) joined the band as a new leading vocalist. Slani’s arrival signaled the band’s third phase of development. This phase of progression has continued with no indication that the band’s development will subside at any level. In fact, after a period of rehearsals with the new vocalist, Plug’n’Play commenced with its live performances mostly in Novi Sad Night Clubs. The band with it’s new vocalist Slani, had its first concert as a part of manifestation named “Saberimo se Novosađani”, in NS Time club, on the 3rd of October 2004, after which the band had a series of live performances in all prominent nightclubs of Novi Sad. In February 2005, Plug’n’Play recorded their first demo cd – ‘Plug-ins’ with three songs - ‘Plug’n’Play’, ‘Friend’ and ‘Angel’ (Massive Attack interpretation). The demo songs were recorded at ‘Zid’ studio in S. Kamenica and at ‘Digital tone works’ studio in Rumenka by the producer Dragan Alimpijević – Pik (Red Cloud, Compressor). In September 2005, the bend recorded a music clip for the song Plug ’n’ Play. During late 2005 and early in 2006, this music clip was played on numerous local and national TV stations, as well as on the MTV Adrija. The next music clip for the song “Friend” had a premiere at the beginning of June, 2006. In the meantime, Plug’n’Play band appeared several times as the special guest in the concerts of popular rock bends. Some of these concerts include Del Arno Band in Trema Club, dedicated to disadvantaged children (Dečije selo, Sremska Kamenica), on the 22nd of November 2005. Also, Plug’n’Play performed live in front of more than 600 people, as the special guest of Block Out bend, in Gradilište Club on the 1st of April, 2006. Further, Plug ’n’ Play participated at the reinstated musical festival “String” in Subotica, at Palic, on the 18th of August, 2006. At the end of September 2006, Plug’n’Play played on a tour named “Days of Vojvidina in Istra” in Pula, Pazin and Buzet (Croatia), along with bands such as Zbogom Brus Lee and UMT.

Both play and played in touring, recording, releasing bands (Sarah in Dag för Dag, Ted in Shout Out Louds), both had left the edgy, itchy days of their 20s behind, both still had burning bellies for creating. Sarah for the music and accompanying writing – Ted for the music and accompanying imagery. And so when the seemingly never-to-arrive thaw finally graced their Scandinavian headquarters with its rosy cheeks in spring 2011, they hit the drawing boards and created A Nighthawk. As Mary Shelley had once widdled away at her Frankenstein, Sarah and Ted carved away at the wings of A Nighthawk. |

Link | 1 | 1 | Reina del Cid | Reina del Cid | United States | Reina Del Cid | Reina del Cid is an indie folk artist based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Born in Fargo, North Dakota, Reina moved to Minneapolis in 2006 to study at the University of Minnesota. Early the following year, she uploaded a video to YouTube of herself performing an acoustic cover version of Joan Osborne's 1995 hit single "One of Us" on guitar. Her second video was another cover version, this time of Suzanne Vega's 1987 classic "Luka." The two videos quickly grew in popularity and people asked Reina to sing some self-written songs, which she did starting a few months later. The first original song she shared with the YouTube community was called "Chance," which she uploaded on June 8, 2007. Many other original songs would follow in the months to come, among others "New Girlfriend," "Kindness (Cypress Tree)," "Emily," "Teacher Crush," "Wonder" and "Medium." One of her most popular songs is "Come On Over," which she uploaded on September 27, 2008. The song was a featured video on the frontage of YouTube on October 14, 2008 and has managed to accumulate over one million views since then. Over the course of four years, Reina gained a loyal fanbase on YouTube singing self-penned songs as well as cover versions of popular songs such as OneRepublic's "Apologize," Coldplay's "Swallowed in the Sea" and Freddy Fender's "Before the Next Teardrop Falls." Reina's fans kept asking if they could purchase her original songs on CD, which finally led to Reina collaborating with YouTube guitarist James Wetzel on her debut EP entitled LET'S BEGIN, which was released on October 25, 2011. The EP included newly recorded versions of her YouTube classics "Come Back Over," "Mr. Piñata," "The Sound of You," and "New Girlfriend" as well as the new song "Let's Begin." Shortly after recording her debut EP, Reina formed her current backing band The Cidizens. The original lineup consisted of Toni Lindgren on lead guitar, Chris Wiberg on bass, and Clay Whitney on drums. With Reina herself on vocals and rhythm guitar, they recorded their debut album BLUEPRINTS, PLANS at two recording studios in Minnesota, namely Humans Win! in Northeast Minneapolis and Essential Sessions in St. Paul. The 10-track album was released on September 15, 2012 and received positive reviews. It was rated in the top 12 Minnesota releases of 2012 by NPR’s 89.3 The Current. Over the next years, Reina and her band played a few hundred shows to an ever growing number of fans. During that time, Zach Schmidt replaced Clay Whitney on drums. In late 2014, Reina and her band again headed back into the studio to record their sophomore album. This time, they chose the legendary Pachyderm Studio based in Cannon Falls, Minnesota to record new material. The studio is famous for a number of high-profile bands recording there, among others, Nirvana, The Jayhawks, Son Volt, Babes in Toyland, Soul Asylum, and Alkaline Trio. Link | 1 | 1 | Seraphim Codex | Seraphim Codex | Croatia | Seraphim Codex | Robert Imbrisic One of the pioneers of the Croatian electronic music scene, Robert (aka Seraphim Codex) has enjoyed 18 years as one of the well known players in this beautiful part of the world. His 1st vinyl release was in 1994 in a project Force X - Eyes of Destruction) on Loving Ed Records and ever since he has enjoyed great success as a producer with releases on labels such as Proton Music, Super8, Balkan Connection & BodyJack, which he first showcased as a live act at the legendary "Futureshock 2001" raves between 1993 and 1996 (together with Berislav Oremus at that time) As a DJ, Robert has had a hand in some of the most prolific Croatian dance projects such as Hartera Festival in Rijeka, MTV Valkana Beach, the famous Dubrovnik NYE Celebrations & so on. But he is most proud of his residency at fellow Croatian techno legend Petar Dundov. "Perfection" nights in Zagreb, where he gained a residency in 2002, gave him enormous exposure as a dj. As for the here and now, Robert continues to have a hand in most of the major parties in Croatia & this summer played alongside the likes of Carl Cox & John Digweed to name but a couple... Productionwise, in 2006 Robert won the Croatian Heineken Thirst Studio Competition and travelled to Los Angeles to produce with BT (Brian Transeau). From here he went on to the world finals held in Las Vegas where he played at the infamous Tao Club alongside Paul Oakenfold, Gabriel & Dresden, Steve Aoki & others. This aside, the list of who's who in Electronic Music that has shared a stage with Seraphim Codex over the years is insanely long & interesting (Ritchie Hawtin, Sven Vath, Pascal FEOS, Dave Clarke, Jeff Mills, Joel Mull, Petar Dundov, Soulwax, Paul Van Dyk, etc.) & not only crosses continents but all styles of this wonderful thing we call EDM. 2011 sees him collaborating with Damir Martinovic - Mrle from iconic croatian band "LET3" on projects connected with theatre and audiovisual production. "Collaborate! Learn from everything & everyone. Invent. Feel.", he shouts, and by doing it for almost 20 years on the global dance scene, it is paying back. There is no doubt as to why Seraphim Codex stands out amongst the many great artists we have the pleasure of enjoying today...

Their first album (self-titled, NarRator Records 2009) introduces us to the world of primarily Hungarian but also Bulgarian, French and Indian folk style songs with an energetic rock flavor. The track 'Leave' was chosen for a CD compilation introducing the best of Hungarian world music in Europe’s most acknowledged world music magazine, the Songlines' March 2010 issue, with other renowned acts. Fokadelic, the new album out in April 2011, brings them ever closer to realizing their very own sound – world beat founded in rock, fusing the tradition of Hungarian „csujogató” singing style with Bulgarian folk, gypsy tango with chansons, Latin with Afro rhythms. This creative spirit reflects in the lyrics, oscillating between Hungarian, Spanish and Bulgarian. After touring in Germany, Denmark and Sweden in 2009 (giving workshops in schools in Hillerod, Denmark in their free time), Fókatelep found themselves in Germany again in May 2010 to perform alongside Besh O Drom at a series of events promoting Hungarian talent. Later that year, they travelled to the Italian showcase festival Meeting Degli Indipendenti to perform for a professional audience. In 2011 Fokatelep promoted the new album Fokadelic across Europe. The tour started in the most prestigious venue of Luxembourg, the Neumünster Abbey. 2012 February – release and big success of a new video, featuring the duet of Annamari with the best Hungarian gypsy male singer Gusztáv Balogh.

Link | 1 | 1 | Sesta Marconi | Sesta Marconi | Italy | Sesta Marconi | The idea of SESTA MARCONI dates back to 1999, when a group of 15 years old friends from the south of Italy set out their musical destiny. After the period of playing cover songs, in 2002 the band started creating their own music. By the end of the year they not only played live a lot, but also composed several songs, two of which ended up on their first demo, "Black Soul Star", falling stylistically between seventies hard rock and classic heavy metal with strong doom metal overtones. In September 2003 the combo relocated to Rome where they kept on playing, in spite of some problems that slowed them down for a few months. In 2004 SESTA MARCONI continued to forge new material, leaning more towards traditional doom metal. Most of those tracks went to constitute "Ritual Kamasutra Kitsch", a 30 minutes long EP released by the band in March 2008. In the 4 songs, preceded by the ironic audio-collage intro, the musicians summarized their personal exploration of the world from the last few years. The EP received some rave reviews from the metal press in Italy and abroad, praising the band for their superb musical and song-writing skills in the style blending traditional doom with the rock'n'roll influenced, catchy heavy metal passages and some psychedelic leanings. The band became quite active performing live and sharing the stage with their doom brethren from DOOMRAISER, MIDRYASI, SERPENTCULT, GODWATT REDEMPTION and many others. SESTA MARCONI was discovered and picked up by Metal On Metal Records in the beginning of 2009, to the great satisfaction of the band, that felt a fresh injection of energy and started working on what was to become their debut album "Where The Devil Dances", released in October 2009. SESTA MARCONI's brand of doom metal is definitely rooted in the genre's tradition from the '70s and '80s, but marked with the band's personal vision. They call it "doom'n'roll voodoo style"... What does it mean? Heavy and doomy songs with pulverising riffs, but definitely devoid of depressive, melancholic and ultra slow elements that characterize many other doom bands - instead with a pinch of rock'n'roll and psychedelic passages. Chances are you won't sit still while listening to "Where The Devil Dances", so grab your fave beverage or smoke and come, join the skeletons party! (source: http://metal-on-metal.com)

She started to sing professionally at the age of 17 as a backing vocalist but soon as main vocalist in many bands. She featured in many Italian productions in the 1990's. She also did some of the songs on the [a=Blizzard] and [a=Sharon S] projects. She sang the song "Dream" of [a=Netzwerk], in 1997. In the meantime, Sharon began to develop her creativity by writing lyrics, including, from that time on, the producing aspect of music. For more than a decade, she has been working as a free-style vocalist with a huge number of world known housemusic DJ's, throughout the best clubs. Back in 2003 Sharon May Linn wrote the song Destination Unknown, it became a hit thanks to vocals by [a=Crystal Waters]. A lot of releases came out over the last years: one of her first hits was for sure Lil' Love with the song Little Love as session vocalist. There are many hit productions Sharon May Linn has done and on which she's working on. Her latest releases are with 3 Minds Twisted "Something's Going On", Melodica; White Shoes "No Control", Absolutely; with Wawa & DJ Gleb "Secret Land", Loud Bit; coming out next: with Lovematic "Take It Up", D:vision and with Rio De La Duna & Lucas Reyes "Push Me", S2G.

Link | 1 | 1 | Kamakakehau Fernandez | Kamakakehau Fernandez | United States | Kamakakēhau Fernandez | Ryan Kamakakēhau Fernandez If anyone could be described as having “Hawaiian heart and soul,” it is indeed Ryan Kamakakehau Fernandez. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, this 6 week old African American infant was adopted by Robyn Naeʻole and brought to the shores of Maui, Hawaiʻi. It is here that his new family and home shaped “Kamaka” into one of Hawaiʻi’s newest and most refreshing talents. Kamaka’s education played a huge part in his love and appreciation for the Hawaiian culture and music. He is a graduate of the Hawaiian Language Immersion Program (Kula Kaiapuni, King Kekaulike High School) and is proud to be a fluent speaker of the Hawaiian language. As he studied – and lived – Hawaiian culture and language, a new-found love emerged from within as he became enamored with the ʻukulele and the art of leo kiʻekiʻe (falsetto) singing. He was the 2003 winner of falsetto legend Richard Hoʻopiʻiʻs Falsetto contest, (part of the annual Aloha Festivals celebrations) and from that point on, Kamaka continued to astonish audiences with the range of his voice, the strum of his ʻukulele, and his heart…which is truly Hawaiian. As Kamaka states… “I love my mom, my ‘ohana, my friends and this wonderful culture that I was lucky enough to be immersed in. Hawaiʻi is my heart and soul.” He has performed on numerous prestigious stages within the State of Hawaiʻi, including the Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua’s Celebration of the Arts, the Castle Theater at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center, Oahu’s Keiki Hula Festival, the Tahiti Fete, and the Grand Hyatt Kauaʻi, as well as stages in the continental United States and Japan. Kamakakehau was one of the featured performers on the 2004 “Aloha Festivals Falsetto Contest Winners – Vol. 5” CD; he was the 2012 winner of 4th Annual Kani Ka Pila Grille Talent Search; and he worked with multiple Nā Hōkū Hanohano (Hawai'i's version of the Grammys) award-winning producer Dave Tucciarone on his debut solo album "Wahi Mahalo," for which Kamakakehau won the 2013 Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award for Extended Play - EP!

Link | 1 | 1 | Artificial Kid | Artificial Kid | Artificial Kid | Artificial Kid is the name of an experimental project of "cyberpunk" rap, born from the minds of StabbyoBoy, Danno (Colle der Fomento) and DJ Craim. The project started in the second half of 2008 and materialized in 2009 with the release of "Artificial Kid - Number 47". It is a concept album of nine tracks to manifest the group. With electronic hip hop sounds created by the sampler and synthesizers of StabbyoBoy, scratches from Dj Craim, lyrics by Danno it tells in nine short episodes the vision of a near future, characterized by an invasive presence of technology and the media as a population control tool, where a prototype of the new cyborg (the Artificial Kid number 47) fights his own war against the system that created it. Supported by original graphic design by the comic artist Champa, the Artificial Kid project summarizes in thirty minutes the passion of its three members for the cyber science fiction of the past twenty years, with strong literary references to Gibson, Sterling, Dick, Orwell, and musical influences from the likes of Carpenter, Vangelis, Company Flow and Non Phixion.

They have been working on this project since 1999 and built an extensive repertoire of more than 70 Tracks, and counting. Jamez is no newcomer in the music business. As a seasoned musician and producer, he has had a hand in more good records than most of us have had hot dinners. John is the lead vocalist but also writer, composer and co-producer. His talent in creating melodies combines perfectly with Jamez' routined tastes in shaping musical landscapes. The music is a combination of Jamez' techno touch and John's temper and tantrums, lyrics and vocal skills. Shreds of atmospheres and raw samples are sequenced into a melodical story and often complemented with whispering or scorching vocals, turning each track into a unique song.

Uten sammenlikning for øvrig!

Link | 1 | 1 | ['ramp] | ['ramp] | ['ramp] | Stephen Parsick Originally founded as [a=RPM (5)] by [a=Stephen Parsick], [a=Lambert Ringlage], and [a=Frank Makowski] in the spring of 1996. Ringlage left the project the same autumn, which also prompted the band's name change as the original name stemmed from their three initials. The new moniker refers to the Dutch word "de ramp" which means "disaster" or "catastrophe" -- in order to avoid the name being pronounced the English way, the band´s name was written in phonetic spelling. As a duo, Parsick and Makowski ventured into experimental ambient and electronic realms, giving birth to a style of music the band playfully refer to as doombient. ['ramp] also experimented through collaborations with other artists, the soprano [a=Martina Beine] was the first of these and joined the band for a short while in 1997 but left the next year due to artistic differences. Between 1997 and 2003, the second and third incarnation of ['ramp] released a string of albums and played a couple of concerts in the Netherlands, the UK, and Germany before activities were forced to come to a halt in early 2003. In 2005, the release of the 2001 concert recording of the Jodrell Bank performance ("oughtibridge") promised a return from the graveyard with a vengeance, and even though another five albums followed in the wake of "oughtibridge", the relationship within the band was no longer the same and had deteriorated significantly. In fact, ever growing tension and long standing disagreements between the two remaining founding members finally tore the band apart in the summer of 2008. In 2009, Parsick continued ['ramp] as another solo enterprise which allowed him to focus on more traditional styles of electronic music (which originally were the inspiration to form ['ramp] at all) while using his name for releasing more experimental ambient music.

After their former critically acclaimed, award losing group [a=@peace] imploded upon itself due to a collective mental break down caused by a lack of government funding in the psychiatric sector, leading to a series of severe psychotic episodes, Lui and Tom were left alone with nothing but a dream and $12.70 in their Paypal account. In a feeble attempt to regain their sanity they created The Average Rap Band. With utter naivety and a total lack of understanding of the current popular musical climate they decided the main focus of the group would be the lyrics. An obsolete medium that was made redundant in the late 1990s. Working with bearded enigma [a=Dandruff Dicky] and poltergeist expert Hone St John they created a 6 track EP entitled 'Stream Of Nonsenseness'. which was made with a $42 budget. |

Link | 1 | 1 | Willem Gator | Willem Gator | Willem Gator | Giuseppe Musmeci Willem Gator aka Giuseppe Musmeci is a self-taught composer, guitarist and electronic music programmer. The artist's rich background in electronic production allows him to create highly distinctive grooves crafted by his very personal views on sound and beat research. What comes out of these recordings is a unique blend of acid house kicks, downtempo beats with junglesque phat basslines, oriental moods and overlapped with a multitude of orchestral instruments. Willem Gator has performed in hundreds of concerts and has completed four tours throughout Europe, sharing the stage with musicians from all over the world. Among these were FM Einhet (Einsturzende Neubauten), Flying Luttenbachers, Unsane, DJ Spooky, Pansonic, Nobokazu Takemura, U-Cef, Battles, Art Brut, etc... In the live set, Willem Gator is joined by Davide Trovato (bass) and Stefano Rigano (video). While you listen to his music, you'll be able to see and feel the places, faces and ambiance of the streets in Hong Kong, the smothering chubby-hole in Kowloon, and the crowd of motorbikes in Taipei.

Link | 1 | 1 | At War With Gods | At War With Gods | At War With Gods | At War With Gods was a 6-piece metalcore band from Melbourne, Australia. Formed in 2008, the band mixed crossover thrash riffs with metallic breakdowns and dissonant melodies. The band became a favourite among the all-ages metalcore scene, and also at Destroy All Lines clubs, where their chaotic performances often resulted in brawls. The band released an untitled demo and a digital EP in 2008, then their debut full-length "Nihilism" in 2010. The band toured Australia extensively in 2010 and 2011, supporting Shai Hulud, Bishop, Chimaira and Thy Art Is Murder among others, playing largely at self-booked shows. The band then played a 7-date Southeast Asia tour in 2011, supporting Terror, Ten Baht Per Hour, Soulare and more. In late 2011, the band recorded their follow up EP, "Melbourne." This EP was due for release in early 2012, but the band elected to break up before physical copies were made available. The band performed their last show in 2012 supporting Xibalba. Members are currently performing in Cold Ground, Crowned Kings, Rebirth and XuppercutX.

Link | 1 | 1 | Pedro Gabriel Amaral | Pedro Gabriel Amaral | Caxias do Sul | Brazilian folk singer/songwriter | Pedro Gabriel Amaral | [a=Pedro Gabriel Amaral] is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born in Roca Sales, in southern Brazil. Pedro Gabriel is known for making music within several different genres and influences, that range from progressive rock to electronic. In mid 2015, released his first record, an acoustic guitar-driven and prog rock influenced indie folk EP, [r=7374134]. Right after the release, Pedro Gabriel began working on new songs, that ended up making his February 2016 full lenght album, [r=8058882], in which he plays every instrument and shares vocals with guest lead vocalist [a=Rogerio Schnack], who sings in most of the songs. It marked a huge change of direction in his music, leaving behing the lo-fi indie folk sound and embracing an alternative, experimental style. [r=8058882] also blends electronic music (mainly early IDM) influences with the 70s psychedelic and art rock sound. |

Link | 1 | 1 | Coppersky | Coppersky | rock band | Coppersky | COPPERSKY COPPERSKY is a rock band formed by three brothers and two friends and based in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Hanging somewhere in the balance between the tradition of American heartland rock and punk infused powerpop with a tinge of classic rock, soundwise COPPERSKY can be seen as cousins to rock bands such as The Hold Steady, The Replacements and The National. Delivered in leadsinger Erik Zwart’s rich deep voice (often compared to that of Matt Beringer and Craig Finn), thematically COPPERSKY’s lyrics revolve around semi-autobiographical confessions of failures and redemption tied to running a small business and relationships with friends, family and better halfs. There are undoubtedly parallells between these voices and Zwarts however his voice retains it’s own unique qualities.
