Link | 0 | 2 | MC Offside | MC Offside | MC Offside | MC Offside first picked up the microphone in October 2008 when he had his first set at an event called "The Harder Styles" at the club Dellars Wharf, Taunton. Inspired by the feedback he received, saying, how he had the potential to be a good MC in the future, he carried on practicing. He practiced at his mates house on an internet radio show called "Narcotic Radio" with Dj Jaba and his partner in rhyme "Mc Danny J" every Thursday night. This brought him to the attention of a wider audience and he soon started getting regular bookings up and down the UK. Now, at just 15 years of age ,he was travelling around the country, on his own, seeing what the hardcore scene was all about, in city's such as Birmingham, Leicester, Plymouth. Ravers and promoters kept giving him positive feedback and with his support behind him, kept his motivation strong. This made him realise Mc'ing was his passion and goal in life! From that day on he never looked back and now Mc'ing has become a potential career for him. He originally started out as a Dj ,when he was a young lad, with his best friend "X-fir3" but he never imaged he would end up becoming an Mc alongside some of the biggest headline acts around today. Offside has since performed at some of the Biggest Events in Hardcore such as Hardcore Heaven, HTID, Ravers Reunited, Hyperbolic, Hardcore Evolution, Ravers Are, Hardcore Resurrection Offside also runs a mix series & digital label called THE FUTURE OF HARDCORE. This is to promote all the up n coming artists on the scene that he feels needs to be noticed! So if anybody in interested in featuring on the mix series then please get in touch!

Link | 1 | 1 | Sleeping Flies | Sleeping Flies | Sleeping Flies | The Sleeping Flies were formed in Malmo, Sweden in 1999, and debuted a year later with the track Feel Like Movin On that appeared on the compilation Kindercore Fifty. In 2002 they released the album You are Superior, mainly recorded in Athens, Georgia in 2000 at World As Myth with Bill Doss of The Olivia Tremor Control at the mixing desk. The record is an amalgam of krautrock, dub, acid house and traditional songwriting. The band contributed the track Sunshine Sounds to a Contact Records compilation in 2003, alongside artists such as Thievery Corporation and Dabrye. After the activities of 1999-2002, the members of the band diverged in different directions. As for their current activities, Henrik Dahl is pursuing his acid flavoured house excursions with Jivaro and other aliases as well as running Rucksack Records. Richard Olson was until recently making psychedelic folk music in The Eighteenth Day Of May and subsequently went on to form London-based psychedelic pop band The See See, while Michael Evill has been part of The Music Liberation Front Sweden.

Being design students, the two worked together on a number of art projects which included film, performance art, painting and last but not least, the band Subsonic Experience (from autumn 1990 till summer 1993). Artistically influenced by Zen Buddhism, the teachings of Don Juan, Gerhard Richter, Peter Michael Hamel and the likes of Klaus Schulze and early Tangerine Dream, Subsonic Experience played several festivals including two legendary support shows for the band "Embryo"

Link | 1 | 1 | ABBHAMA | ABBHAMA | Abbhama | It's hard for a band outside Europe or USA to reach the rest of the world and sadly some good material is lost due to the limitations of Asian or African countries, this is the case of ABBHAMA, an Indonesian band who released a cassette in 1978 called "Alam Raya". The information about them is pretty hard to find being that they were not popular even in Indonesia because as in many countries of Asia, the charts are dominated by native Folk bands and Pop groups mainly from United States and there's a very small fan base for Progressive Rock bands. ABBHAMA was born in 1977 and was the brainchild of the talented keyboardist Iwan Madjid, who was clearly influenced by Yes, Genesis, ELP and all the Symphonic icons but with also a strong French and Italian influence, the special touch are the lyrics sung in their native language and the clear ethnic influences. The addition of Oboe by Hendro (That's how the musician is credited) gave them a very special and unique taste. Due to the strong and characteristic Indonesian sound, ABBHAMA could have a place in Folk Prog, but the essence of their music is clearly Symphonic. Sadly their story ends with the release of Alam Raya, proving once more that you don't only need to be skilled but also require to have the luck of being born in a country with a strong musical industry. After ABBHAMA disbanded Iwan Madjid and the bassist Darwin formed a more mainstream oriented band named WOW that apparently had more luck in the Indonesian charts releasing three albums. Link | 1 | 1 | Carnophage | Carnophage | Turkey | Carnophage | Technical Brutal Death Metal from Ankara, Turkey. The CARNOPHAGE story began in early 2006. The band was formed by Mert Kaya and Bengi Öztürk who had worked together in a couple bands and projects at times. After all this endeavour, they decided to give life to their own musical thougths. Their desire was a controlled, chaotic and a technical form in Death Metal. To achieve this, the duo established Carnophage. After a few weeks, Onur Özçelik of Black Omen (who has been playing with Mert for a couple years) joined Carnophage and the song writing process started. During this process, Berkan Basoglu (guitarist of Solitude) joined the band as a vocalist. His vocal skills quickly adapted to band”s music and for the time, the line up seemed to be completed. After a few months, the idea of double guitar working became more appropriate for the band and Berkan took the second guitar position leaving the vocals. Two guitars added more aggression and complexity to Carnophage”s music. Time has come for seeking a vocalist after Berkan switched to the guitars. Carnophage offered the vocal mission to Oral Akyol. He was in charge with Cidesphere (R.I.P.) nearly ten years and after his resignment in Cidesphere, he has been the vocalist for Burst Appeal. Being a death metal head over the years, he accepted throat duties and adapted the band”s style perfectly. Finally the line-up was totally ready to write and perform new songs. After the composing sessions, the band entered Midas'in Kulakligi Studios and recorded their debut album "Deformed Future // Genetic Nightmare". The final product is a combination of fast and technical/brutal death metal. During the recording session many labels were interested in signing Carnophage. Finally the band got signed with Unique Leader Records. Carnophage has been receiving considerable amount of positive feedback about their work over the net and from the Turkish underground metal scene. In 26th of August 2008, Carnophage will share the sickness with the world under the flag of Unique Leader Records featuring the artwork of Par Olofsson (cover art) and Ozan Yildirim (booklet art & layout). Get ready for Deformed Future // Genetic Nightmare...

The band formed in 2013 when guitarist [a=David Obuchowski] and Zachary Lipez (who had toured together with their bands Goes Cube and Freshkills respectively) began writing songs long distance; Obuchowski in Colorado, and Lipez in New York. Shortly thereafter, Obuchowski met up with his old friend and Revocation bassist [a=Brett Bamberger] (who'd he'd toured with when Brett was the bass player of [a=East of the Wall]). Obuchowski showed Bamberger the two songs he and Lipez had been working on, and Bamberger was in. That same weekend, Bamberger went to Richmond, Virginia and paid a visit to his friend [a=Dave Witte] (Municipal Waste, ex-[a=Burnt By The Sun]). After hearing the songs, Witte immediately offered his talents, and was quickly welcomed into the fold. In the summer of 2014, the band posted a single demo, which saw instant coverage from Decibel Magazine, MetalSucks.net, and many others. Later that same summer, Noisey premiered another demo, and stated that, “unlimited beer, nudity, thick-cut bacon, and [a=Publicist UK] are things that you need in your life!” The media attention, to say nothing of the supergroup’s innovative and dynamic take on post-punk, were more than enough to catch the eye of [l=Relapse Records], who signed the band in the fall of 2014.

Link | 1 | 1 | Duosseudo | Duosseudo | Duosseudo | Luc Wiesman & Marc Edwards Not content with being unnoticed by the masses, Duosseudo (due-oh-sue-doh) was born to create its own unique direction of sound and vision. A deadly career move perhaps for both Luc Wiesman and Marc Edwards in a world of ‘me too’ musical acts, however both had enough merit and talent to make something special with their blank canvas. Gotye was so impressed with their remix of ‘Hearts a Mess’ that he snapped it up quicker than a crocodile in Kakadu for his Mixed Blood compilation. That album went on to win Gotye an ARIA award for best male artist in 2008. Duosseudo’s electric touch was felt as fas as France with Yelle, followed by Los Angeles with Bird and the Bee and finally touching back home with Gabriella Cilmi. Luc Wiesman and Marc Edwards had been friends for many years prior to their creation of Duosseudo, both earning respect as producers and DJs in their own right. Duosseudo’s sound cuts like a diamond’s edge through the soft-synth world of electro, reshaping it into a figure that is part 80s pop and part Chicago house. A sleeping giant in the waiting.

The original line up featured Ronnie James Dio (vocals/bass), Nick Pantas (guitar), David Feinstein (guitar), Gary Driscoll (drums) and Doug Thaler (keyboards). All the members, except Thaler, had previously performed in Ronnie Dio and the Prophets and, according to Thaler, the Prophets never really ended but just changed their name. The Electric Elves released a single in December of 1967. In February, 1968, the band was involved in an automobile accident which killed Pantas and left Dio, Feinstein, and Thaler injured. Dio,Feinstein, and Driscoll reorganized the band a few months later with new keyboardist Mickey Lee Soule while Thaler was still recovering from his injuries (he later returned as 2nd guitarist). By the end of 1968, the group dumped the "Electric" part of their name and performed simply as The Elves.

Link | 0 | 2 | Jabu Khanyile | Jabu Khanyile | South Africa | Jabu Khanyile | Jabu Khanyile Born: 28th February 1957 Soweto, South Africa Died: 12th November 2006 Dobsonville, Soweto, South Africa Once a primary member of [a=Bayete], Jabu Khanyile is now the driving force for the latest versions of the band. His father is described as "a playboy," while his mother passed away early in Khanyile's life. With existence becoming a struggle, and little support, Khanyile was unable to finish school, and found himself unsuited to holding down any sort of regular job. The major influence from his father came in the form of Mbube music, performed by his father and friends on Sunday afternoons. Khanyile's elder brother John, a member of a group called Editions, which released several popular singles, eventually bought Jabu a guitar. Khanyile taught himself enough guitar to be able to busk for a living. Young Khanyile's interests also extended to drums and percussion; whenever possible, he would get behind the drum kit at Editions gigs. When Editions broke up, Khanyile was approached by the group's manager with the idea of re-forming the band — keeping the name, but using younger musicians. While the new band quickly landed a record deal, the political climate led to various band members fleeing the country or going into hiding. Not to be stopped, Khanyile once again recruited a new set of musicians. This version of the band recorded Izinyembezi to general acclaim, but fell apart during the recording of a new album. Khanyile then joined the Movers, who promptly achieved a hit with "Inhlonipho," only to fall prey to internal problems as they achieved success. Disgusted with the infighting, Khanyile left the band, auditioning for the drummer's throne in a new band, Bayete. A brass-driven outfit with its heart firmly in African territory and a somewhat politicized attitude, Bayete had an immediate appeal to black South Africans whose frame of reference was extremely uncertain just prior to the abandonment of apartheid policies. The first Bayete album, Mbombela, released in 1987, spoke out about the economic realities of life in both the country and the townships, and about the shattering of families. Hareyeng Haye appeared in 1990, with the release of "Mbube" generating a significant hit (one adopted by many people, who would replace "Mbube" with "Mbumbe," which means "unity"). Unity was far from the minds of those in Bayete, however, and the band split in 1993. Khanyile quickly assembled a new collection of players and got back to work, recording Mmalo-We. It earned a gold record and several South African Music Awards and attracted the attention of Island Records maven Chris Blackwell, who acquired it for worldwide release. 1996's Umkhaya-Lo continues Khanyile's exploration of African musical styles, combining history with contemporary musical ideas. The 1997 Africa Unite is a compilation of tracks from Mmalo-We and Umkhaya-Lo. Jabu Khanyile died (49) from to prostate cancer. His last performance was in July in Germany during the World Cup handover.

The band recorded first DEMO in 2008 at Real Sound Studio, and after a line up change, a full-lengh album "Gates" under Moonlight Studios Agency (Parma) in 2011, starting to grow up in terms of concerts and marketing, having lot of reviews on main Italian magazines and, most of all, splitting the stage with Malevolent Creation, Vomitory, Sepultura, Entombed, Obituary, Nasum, Hour Of Penance, The Modern Age Slavery, Amassado and most of the main Italian brutal-death bands. The core concept was focused - again - on outer gods and otherworldly sensations, structured on nihilism of the human being and its matters. In 2013 the band started to create the new album, inspired by local traditions, swamps and aquatic environments nearby. In late 2013 recorded the new EP, "Dark Waters" (released in June 2014), at Sliver Recording Studio" looking forward to play upon the stage. Formed in 2008 by a Los Angeles-based couple, Chelsey Holland and Christopher Wormald broke up, which inspired satirized themes of their intimate exchanges. The result was a visceral musical collaboration that brought her moody vocal narratives together with his proto-industrial soundscapes. Their March 2014 debut EP, "I'll Eat You Last," is a reflection of these real and imaginary dramas accentuated by effects-driven guitar, droning synths, and hypnotic percussions. INTIMATCHINE remain active on various online communities and dating websites to offer their own journal of romantic plight, which informs their relationship advice column.

Link | 1 | 1 | Chelsea Wilson | Chelsea Wilson | Australia | Soul singer from Melbourne, Australia | Chelsea Wilson | Chelsea grew up listening to rhythm and blues courtesy of her Dad’s record collection. But it was falling in love with jazz at age fifteen and in particular with the great voices of Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and Sarah Vaughn that inspired Chelsea to become a vocalist and led her to studying at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. After completing her music degree, Chelsea earned her performance stripes overseas, completing seven 6-month international residency contracts across Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, The UAE, The USA and The Caribbean performing over 280 shows per year. After relocating to Melbourne Chelsea collated her experiences into her debut EP Bitterness and took up the post as Music and Interviews Manager at iconic Melbourne station PBS FM. Recently Chelsea performed her debut solo show I Hope You’ll Be Very Unhappy Without Me – The Cabaret at the opening night of the Melbourne Cabaret Festival and in the sell out season of Heart of A Woman- A Tribute to Etta James at the Adelaide fringe festival. She curates the sell out Women of Soul performance series featuring artists such as Kylie Auldist, Michelle Martinez, Christina Arnold and Clairy Browne. A budding vinyl collector and dance floor connoisseur she has DJ’d at events such as PBS FM’s Soul A Go Go, The National Gallery of Victoria’s friday night Masterpiece series and the Melbourne Recital Centre Garden Party. She also appears as an MC at events such as the Melbourne International Jazz Festival, Stonnington Jazz Festival and Wangaratta Festival of Jazz and Blues. She has spoken on music industry panels at conferences including Face the Music, I Manage My Music, Australasian World Music Expo, Bigsound, APRAAMCOS member events and at the Multicultural Arts Victoria Emerge Festival. Chelsea also produces and presents weekly jazz radio program Jazz Got Soul on PBS 106.7FM, writes the odd music review on her blog and drinks copious amounts of Twinnings English Breakfast Tea. In her free time (if any) you might find her in a boxing, ballet or barre class with her gal pals. |

Link | 1 | 1 | Beatgrinders | Beatgrinders | Beatgrinders | Didier Letiexhe and Sanne Decorte, aka Mastafingaz and Scape came together when they were about 14 years old. With a great interest in hip hop they formed a group by the name 'apostrophe' which included a 3rd member. As members in this earlier group Scape was a producer followed by Mastafingaz as a DJ. As teenagers with a lot of enthusiasm to make music to infiltrate the Belgium music industry they went through many challenges which led them to replace members occasionally. [a=2000WAT] was once again formed under a label known as '[l=Eigen Makelij]'. This later group they formed pioneered the Belgium hip hop culture at that time. Everything changed when Scape met [a=DJ Mystique (2)] in 2008, a very popular figure in the house music industry. Together they produced singles such as 'Busy like that' and 'Miami is not Ibiza' which changed the duo's musical taste forever. Beatgrinders was born. Beatgrinders appeared to be the ideal concept for a new and improved genre for the youth. The duo's combination enhanced their creativity which gave birth to their unique sound, a mix of electro/house and fidget. With the help of a prominent musical giant by the name of [a=Serge Ramaekers], their production was certified to be industry standard. With their music and mind right Beatgrinders felt it was time for exposure and participated with STUBRU switch producers contest which boosted their popularity. A 3rd position was secured with their single 'Primetime'. [a=Narco (5)], a well talented rapper from London, made sure to contribute to this achievement with his playful and lively vocals on the single. At this point Beatgrinders have set foot in the industry and gained enough exposure to be noticed by [l=Poppunt], an organisation that will secure further promotion on the duo's work and shows throughout Flanders (Belgium). An article was published about Beatgrinders during the summer edition. Beatgrinders continue to appear in Petrol, Illcity and as residence DJ's at Club Publik after obliterating the stages at Belgium's major festivals such Summerfestival, Cityparade and Laundryday. With all the experience they've accumulated there is no doubt we will continue to see and hear more from these incredible young Belgian talents.

More than half a millennium later, as the age of the written word comes to an end and cyberspace envelopes the world, a new hip hop group – Caxton Press – has emerged to shine light into the darkness. After a year in the engine room writing, tightening and perfecting their debut album Shame the Devil, Caxton Press have chosen to ignore the status quo and the current themes in rap music and to bring it back to the pavement in its purest form. Three rappers – Manage, eMCee Killa – Singer/rapper Amy True, producer Profound and DJ Snuff, have merged their talents to give you CaxtonPress.

¿Revolución sonora? no creo…

After having so great success with this single (featured in DJMag; key support from DJ Tiesto, Carl Cox, Gareth Emery, Bart Claessen, Lange and many others!), they decided to start producing and remixing together, while also having live gig's in mind for the future. Tech-trance was set to be the keyword for this collaboration. Soon they finished their first remix: Mike Foyle pres. Bolt - Hex (Polymental remix), which was also released on FlütterSpark. Link | 1 | 1 | Theresa Malenfant | Theresa Malenfant | Theresa Malenfant | Blues Singer - Dieppe, New Brunswick , Nova Scotia & PEI, Canada Theresa is New Brunswick’s acclaimed ‘Queen of Blues’, has been bringing down the house since her early public appearance on stage with the late Dutchie Mason. Winner of an ECMA for Best Female Artist and twice nominated for Canadian Maple Blues Awards as Female Artist of the Year. Theresa Malenfant has a loyal and enthusiastic following across Canada as well as in Europe. Theresa Malenfant and The Instigators. Raised in Dieppe, New Brunswick, Theresa grew up surrounded by a musically-talented family. When she was quite young, her mother introduced her to the big band era of the 1940..s. When she first discovered the blues, she was so taken aback by the music; she would spend long hours listening to the recordings of her favorite performers in order to learn their techniques. At the age of fourteen, she made her singing debut at a high school variety show. Reaching deep into her soul, she sang with such feeling and emotion that the unsuspecting audience went absolutely wild. A few years later, and still under age, Theresa stole quietly into a local bar and asked to sing with the great Dutch Mason – needless to say, she brought the house down. The blues-loving crowd was so thrilled that Theresa had to sing three more numbers and repeat her first before they would let her off the stage! It wasn’t long before Theresa formed her own band and started to make an impact on audiences wherever she played; people raved about the New Brunswick girl who sang like Janis Joplin. Theresa herself was not yet content until she had tackled the one goal she had at that point: the release of her first album titled “Turtle Blues”, and although it may have been a small basement studio production, it managed to sell over 3,000 copies faster than anyone had expected. Her next project, “Your Good Thing”, was recorded live at The Dock in Fredericton and this time 4,000 were shipped out and grabbed by eager enthusiast. “Your Good Thing” also won Theresa recognition with nominations for Best Female Artist at The East Coast Music Awards in 1993, as well as, Best Female Artist and Blues Artist in 1994. With all the success, it was in 1994 that Theresa decided it was time to develop her own style and record original music written especially for her. She also wanted to feature those songwriters and musicians from the Maritimes whom she had always admired, including many of those talented artists that had often joined her on stage. This resulted in the CD “Eye of the Hurricane”. With so much interest directed toward the CD, the production company released a single, which did well on radio stations across Canada. It was no surprise that in 1995 Theresa won The East Coast Music Award for Best Female Artist. Her next CD titled “Little Girl Blue”, featured songs originally performed by Janis Joplin. This project brought her nominations for Female Artist of the Year at the 1997 & 1998 Canadian Maple Blues Awards. In 1998, Theresa moved to Europe, where she released “Piece of My Heart”, a compilation of songs from “Eye of the Hurricane” and “Little Girl Blue”. It wasn’t long before she began to develop a strong following in Belgium and Holland, and because of this she decided to form her own band in Europe, The Midnight Believers. In 2001, they released a CD together titled “Listen Up!” This CD has not yet been released in Canada. In August 2002, Theresa returned to Canada and began performing throughout the Maritimes with her new group “The Instigators”. In 2004, they released the CD “Shades of Blues”, which was recorded live at Fredericton’s Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival. The year 2005 saw another nomination for Female Artist of the Year at the Canadian Maple Blues Awards. The summer of 2007 saw the release of Theresa’s CD “My Best”, a compilation of the best songs from her seven releases.

Link | 1 | 1 | God in Panic | God in Panic | Italy | God In Panic | Multifaceted Italian musician Vena, founding member of God In Panic, regurgitates his creativity outlining a refined style. Distinctive features of his early productions are transparency and roundness of sounds, which blend kaleidoscopic experiences of inner restlessness drawing deviant and hallucinatory creatures. Even more acid and noisy frameworks began to take shape in his former Post-rock projects Gula Mons (2007) and Der Fluß (2009) and afterwards a further visceral mold reaches its highest expression and maturity in his last experimental project God In Panic, founded in 2010. The sound of God In Panic is tormented, slightly distressing industrial beats opposing with classical guitars elegies, charming melodies resting under the cold disguise of noisy machines or skillfully manipulated by electronics. The soundscapes are gray, introspective, deep and thinly disturbing: writhing and twisting around sheet metals, delicate and suffering Neofolk school arpeggios and the elegance of darkwave.

Link | 1 | 1 | Atavismo | Atavismo | Spain | Atavismo | Atavismo Atavismo is formed by Sandra on drums and vocals, Matt on bass and Poti on guitar, synthesizers and vocals, all seasoned musicians in other bands in the area as Viaje a 800, Buena Muerte Trio or Mind!. With this formation have decided to develop sound issues with Mind! (maybe a little more traditional and recognizable within the canons considered “commercial” character) had not yet explored, to some extent regardless of electronic kraut reinforcements to reach the rawness and immediacy so characteristic of electric power trios... Progressive rock sound and echoes of the Hard Psychedelic of bands like UFO first-era, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Pink Floyd post-Barrett era, or Groundhogs… This musical philosophy, certainly less sophisticated and dramatic, but much more visceral and risky, Atavismo want to be synonymous with sonic expansion of open and reverberating guitars, hypnotic rhythms, thus twinned with all those groups that have made the jam session almost a form of religion. Or to put it another way, as the name suggests, Atavismo members have decided to unleash all those musical genes that were waiting to retrieve the echoes of bands like the Grateful Dead, Neil Young and Crazy Horse or Josefus and continue to manifest today in bands like Earthless or Motorpsycho. Thus, inserting in that tradition, but also providing the product of his own imagination and musical intuition, Atavismo intended fascinate and drag with all electrical chromaticity and rhythmic mantras that can boast. ¡Que así sea!
Link | 1 | 1 | Hypnobeat | Hypnobeat | Hypnobeat | Driven by the common DIY-attitude, [a=James Dean Brown] founded Hypnobeat with [a=Pietro Insipido] in 1983. Making noise with a Boss DR-55 rhythm machine, 2nd hand gear and household utensils, it was not before JDB’s encounter with [a=Victor Sol] and [a=Tobias Freund] a year later that Hypnobeat became a proper, fully electronic outfit. The main goal was to follow a "neo-tribal" approach by reducing electronics to the hypnotic rhythm core. Apart from a TB-303, the wide range of analog studio/live gear included up to six synchronized rhythm machines – always with a focus on the inimitable sound of the Roland TR-808. Accordingly, Hypnobeat conceived an early form of contemporary club music, somewhere within the scope of classical Electro Funk and prototype Techno, and with a proto-Acid flavour. In 1996, evolving from Hypnobeat,James Dean Brown formed [a=Narcotic Syntax], a band he boosted together with [a=Yapacc] in 2003. And after all, Hypnobeat retransformed from Narcotic Syntax, starting with a solo live performance by JDB at Serendip Festival, Paris in 2012 before a year later the exciting new evolution of Hypnobeat occured with [a=Helena Hauff] joining the project. The duo's live performances are completely based on improvisation, exhausting the power of an untamed Roland horde which is unique on stage: 1 x TR-707 + 3 x TR-808 + 2x TB-303 + an array of effects.

From the official biography: "Throes of Ire was initiated in 2009 by Jason McMurtrey as a project deeply rooted in Celtic folklore and horrific legends that encompasses many different elements of Doom metal. By early 2013 [a4712591] was recruited to add vocals to the dark tales and forbidden lore. Jame’s hardcore influence and vocal style melded into the many faces of Jason’s Death/Doom, Funeral Doom, and Traditional Doom charge. Considering themselves a “Horror Doom” band they created a unique band that has something for everyone into any kind of Doom metal or just heavy music in general."

Link | 1 | 1 | Hanging Up the Moon | Hanging Up the Moon | Singapore | Hanging Up The Moon | Sean Lam Hanging Up The Moon is the moniker of singer-songwriter Sean Lam, a well-respected figure in the Singapore music scene whose band Concave Scream was one of the pioneer indie bands when it started in the early 90s. In the years since, Sean has gone on to distinguish himself outside of the music scene too as an interactive designer. He co-founded Kinetic Interactive which he then left after more than a decade to start Plate Interactive. He has earned numerous international awards, and has even been asked to judge at prestigious award shows such as D&AD, One Show Interactive, Cannes Lions, Clio and Webby Awards. In 2011, unable to commit to the demands of a band yet needing an outlet to express himself, Sean embarked on his solo song-crafting project as Hanging Up The Moon. As hinted at by the name, the songs were recorded in the dead of the night after the day’s work was done, his daughter put to bed, and when all was finally quiet. In the folk-acoustic tradition of singer-songwriters, the songs were simply accompanied by his buoyant, finger-picked guitar or ukelele, allowing Sean’s plaintive vocals and introspective lyrics to shine through. It is precisely this quiet honesty in both words and sound that has captivated critics and earned Hanging Up The Moon a new following in Singapore.
