Oblíbené labely: Uprising recordings, SOM, Close2Death, Hospital, RAM, BreakbeatKaos. Oblíbení DJs: Tony Coleman, Spor, DJ Marky, Krafty Kutz, Sigma etc.

Link | 1 | 1 | Kot Kot | Kot Kot | Kot Kot | Kot Kot is a sound artist from Karelia, North-West Russia, based in Germany. She plays and records music based on found sounds and sound collages, both abstract and rhythmic. She uses recordings of different environments: nature, cities, street musicians, occasional radio broadcasts, old movies, authentic music experiences of different people, neighbours whistling…, that are then mixed out with own music pieces in live recording sessions. Synthesizers for children, samplers and sound processors are being used. These are minimalistic songs and pieces inspired by soviet magazines and books for children. The lyrics are a sporadic mixture of texts and poems in Russian from the soviet books for children, worked out into new short and abstract, but complete texts.

Link | 1 | 1 | Milto Eph | Milto Eph | Greece | Milto Eph | Μίλτος Φωτιάδης (Miltos Fotiadis) On the 17th of February 2005, Klik Records opens a new chapter in Greek electronica, releasing its new project. Milto Eph (Miltos Fotiadis) presents his first personal album, titled "Timeless Playground". It's a production that shifts within a sound spectrum, unique for discography in our country. Orchestral 70s funk, trip hop, breakbeat, downtempo and nu soul are the main sound elements of this album, enriched with cinematic soundscapes which refer to the blaxploitation movie atmosphere as well as early seventies British spy films. Each track on "Timeless Playground" creates different vibes to the auditor, from daydreaming to relaxing, to suspense and intensity. Milto Eph collaborated with Junior SP (Giorgos Spiliopoulos) on 5 tracks for this album and as he states, the input by a professional DJ was important in the project's development: "An idea goes through many stages until it becomes a finished track, so the moments of SP's collaboration during the production and until the mixing, are many". By listening to the album, you will remember moments of very special groups such as LTJ Buke, Cinematic Orchestra, Unkle, Massive Attack, Air and Ninja Tune's "creme de la creme". The more "musically challenged" auditor, as well as the most demanding fan of good music, will be impressed by the project's compact sound and will acknowledge the fact that this album doesn't have a past in the history of Greek discography!

Link | 1 | 1 | Midhaven | Midhaven | Mumbai | Midhaven | Midhaven Midhaven was founded by Karan, Shreyas and Abhishek back in 2011. The band met outside HR and KC college back in early 2011, where they started a project called 'Temple Smoke' where they had a lighter sound. By 2012, They had played gigs around the city of Mumbai, and started venturing out to other cities such as Pune and Bangalore. By early 2012, the band dropped the name 'Temple Smoke' and went with the name 'Midhaven'. Karan, Abhishek and Shreyas dropped out of college in the same month to be full time musicians. Shreyas Rane dropped out from science, while Abhishek and Karan left college during their First Year of Bcom. By May 2013, Midhaven launched their EP 'Tales From The Tide' with much acclaim to fans, which was a mixture of what they used to play with 'Temple Smoke' as well as the heavier side of music which then led to metal. After a couple of festivals in Pune and Mumbai, Midhaven went back into the studio for a full length album entitled 'Spellbound'. They went back to the studio to work with their long time producer and friend Jordan Veigas (Jordan Veigas Music Productions). While in the studio, the band has ideas for at least 14 tracks, some near completion, while some were going to be in the final album. A tough decision based on their new sound made them cancel 5 tracks including 'Maelstrom' and 'Altaïr', both of which have been played live before. Their new album consisted of 9 tracks, 6 of which were completely new and written in the studio itself. The song 'Death Row' has guest vocals by their producer and long time friend 'Jordan Veigas' During album recording, there was a new face in the studio, Viraaj Saxena. He, along with Jason D'souza, was a sound engineer for Jordan Veigas Music Productions. Once the album was over, Viraaj Saxena moved to being a session drummer for Midhaven by replacing Aviraj Kumar, the band's previous drummer who drummed on 'Spellbound' as well as 'Tales From The Tide'. While wanting to release their album on their own by November 2013, Midhaven was the only Indian Metal Band to have been completely signed to 'Universal Music Group' (Universal Music India). This signing made the band shift dates from November 2013 to Early 2014. Midhaven at the moment are a bunch of 20 year old Musicians who've given their life to the band and its music. Also, They happen to be the youngest Metal band in Asia Pacific to have been picked up by a major label.

Currently, blackQueen has reactivated after a hiatus, and is active in their new home turf of the great northwest, with a new lineup, playing shows and writing material.

Link | 1 | 1 | Karbonsoul | Karbonsoul | Karbonsoul | KARBONSOUL is a Portuguese metal band (Sintra), formed in March 2007. Initially characterized as a gothic metal band, the initial sound was defined as more melodic with melancholic environments. Over the time, KARBONSOUL began to change his style, in a natural way to a heavier metal. Currently the band explores death metal with some doom metal and dark/black metal influences. The whole project was already conceived by current leader and guitarist of the band Rstein. It all started during a tour with VS777 when Rstein (bassist at the time of VS777) met Muffy in Elvas. The invitation was accepted for lead vocalist. For this project was also invited Hellfish for drummer. In following to complete the quartet, Rvid was invited to join the band as bassist. Also in 2007, the band recorded the first songs. “The Void of Love” and “Tears of Agony” which served as the band's performance over the Internet, in particular at MYSPACE where had enough acceptance. The year 2008 was the year dedicated to music composition, rehearsals and preparation, turning an individual project to a band. In 2009, KARBONSOUL had the opportunity to play live on some heaviest events on the national underground, in which we highlight the openings for bands like KATHAARSYS (Spain) on Side B; WHY ANGELS FALL and MOURNING LENORE in Transmission Bar, DARKSIDE OF INNOCENCE in Musicbox and some festival appearances such as Dark Summer Fest with DESIRE, ENTROPIA and INVOKE. In early 2010, KARBONSOUL recorded two songs – “Frozen Bodies” (videoclip) and “The Siren”, together with three other national bands (ENTROPIA, INCOMING CHAOS and INVOKE), which are part of the Split CD "Concilium 13" released by UNIÃO METÁLICA. This work was heavily promoted during the year with the tour of the same name - Concilium 13 Tour through some gigs from north to south of Portugal. This was the most productive year for KARBONSOUL, highlighting the opening for RAMP in Subversion Tour, opening two dates in Portugal for KELLS (France) and presence at festivals like Gaia em Peso and Street War Fest, with opening for DECAYED. At the end of the first part of the tour, drummer Hellfish left the project for personal reasons. In September 2010, the talented and versatile drummer Sir Nightfall (ex NOCTURNAL REVERIES) joined the band. A new era was begun for the band, becoming increasingly more intense, brutal and dynamic. In April 2011, KARBONSOUL started recording the EP “3LOGY”. In August 2011, the song “Bleeding Sorrow” enters the compilation “Light Bearers”, released by INFEKTION MAGAZINE. This compilation brought together some of the best metal bands in the national underground. The end of 2012 and the year 2013 were very troubled times for KARBONSOUL. Health problems of two band members and personal/professional problems have caused almost a break. Still, with much effort, the band remained active in the studio, working on EP “3LOGY” and composing new songs. In December 2012, the quartet stepped on the stage in Évora with BORDERLANDS, GENNOMA and E.D.G.E., and played at festival 2nd Cameraman Metalfest in Moita with ATTICK DEMONS and ACID LIZARD. In January 2013, KARBONSOUL return to Évora, this time shared the stage with CONTRADICTION (Germany) and trashers NUKLEAR INFEKTION. In December 2013, it was completed the mastering of the EP. This work was recorded and mixed in the studio FATSOUND PRODUCTIONS (Sintra), produced by Mário Rodrigues, guitarist and producer of KARBONSOUL) with the band. The EP “3LOGY” is composed of three songs: “Bleeding Sorrow”, “Construction through Destruction” and “Decadent Empire”. This work represents the last three years of the band. On December 2013, KARBONSOUL make the opening for SACRED SIN, in Lisbon, where Muffy participates as a guest on the usual gigs of SACRED SIN + FRIENDS with the cover “Arise” by SEPULTURA. In January 2014, it was released online in digital format the EP "3LOGY".

The producer started his career securing placements for notable Hip-Hop talent including Lloyd Banks, Jim Jones, and Flo-Rida. With a passion for blending the unexpected, Rell’s radical production process soon led him to aligning genres that typically remain separate. His Panamanian background led him to embrace Moombahton, which resulted in his track with David Heartbreak “Killa” being placed on the Moombahton Forever compilation on T&A Records. This compilation featured work from Munchi, GTA, Dillon Francis, Craze, Nick Thayer and more. He has also produced bonafide Trap hits in “Grimey Thirsty” & "Angels X Demons" which have made many appearances on Diplo's BBC Radio 1Xtra mixes. His official remixes, meanwhile, have included Bro Safari’s “Scumbag” and Snoop Lion’s “Lighters Up.” The latter was the official remix of the first single from the musical icon’s Reincarnated album. Rell also released his first EP “Gambozoo” on Skrillex’s imprint NEST in 2014. Rell has taken to describing his sound as a battle “where lasers and drums fight to the death,” and has also become notorious to trap aficionados through live appearances at events such as Miami’s Winter Music Conference; and for sharing stages with the likes of DJ Craze, DJ Sliink, gLAdiator and more. With his profile rapidly rising, Rell will continue to push sonic boundaries by “Soundbending” Hip-Hop, Trap, Moombahton, House and wherever else the music takes him.

This line up featured Steve on guitar and Farfisa as well as vocals and Jon on drums and a little Yamaha keyboard. Dawn Bossman joined the group to play ms-10 and to add some additional vocals. The name was changed to Blue Ribbon and this line up played shows regularly in NYC during 2002. Bryan joined the group in Spring 2003 to play bass; followed shortly by Ben Gworek on drums. This line-up rehearsed and played sporadically through 2003 with half the band living in NYC and half in Providence, RI. During this period Blue Ribbon contributed tracks to three compilations: "Hear You Soon Vol. 1" on Blue Bell Records, "UAC4" on Plastiq Musiq, and "WXJL 2: Music for the Masses" on Ninthwave Records. Blue Ribbon broke up briefly early in 2004. In Spring 2004 Jon and Steve moved from NYC to Providence, RI and re-formed Blue Ribbon. This is the beginning of the current line-up. The band did play one show under the name "Sky Lion" with a more "rock" feel to the music but decided shortly after to go back to the Blue Ribbon name and sound. Blue Ribbon's sound is a combination of synth-driven melodies, thoughtful arrangements, danceable beats and distinct catchy vocals.

Link | 1 | 1 | The Longshadows | The Longshadows | The Longshadows | The Longshadows were a musical collaboration between [a=Gin Blossoms] vocalist [a=Robin Wilson (3)] and composer/producer [a=Steve French] (formerly of Britpop band [a=Starclub]). History The duo met when their respective bands toured the US in the early 1990s. After French relocated to New York, he began writing and recording a body of work that he would eventually ask Wilson to sing on. The result was a 2006 album titled [r=5832313]. On the heels of the Longshadows release came the reunion and touring schedule of Wilson's primary band, Gin Blossoms, thus placing The Longshadows (in their current form) on hold. Reviews "The pop of Simple Minded Way is a slight departure from Wilson's day job band, with the album written and produced by Steve French -- formerly of Brit band Star Club. Yet the collaboration of Wilson's voice and French's songs gels incredibly well on almost every song, most notably on standout track, "Wishing We Weren't So", the melancholic "Weight On My Mind" and the Sixties-influenced "Sail On". The rousing chorus of "To Saione" reveals the perfect musical chemistry The Longshadows possess and the title track is yet another strong track with a slow-burning melody. The return of the Gin Blossoms will be much anticipated by fans, but Simple Minded Way provides ample evidence that other musical avenues could be exploited by Wilson in the future if the reunion does not go according to plan." -- ink19.com, July 2006 "Along with Wilson's singing, the key to the Longshadows' identity is a dynamic and atmospheric guitar sound based on open tunings. The just-completed album, which bares the working title Simple Minded Way, demonstrates that French (who plays and programs all the parts himself) is an equally adept producer, creating rich soundscapes out of his intricate electric and acoustic work and momentum-inducing grooves, which conspire to push Wilson's lush vocals in intriguing new directions. The appeal of the album is that it's at once resonantly distinctive and comfortingly familiar." -- Michael Laskow, TAXI

Link | 1 | 1 | Cynthia Johnson | Cynthia Johnson | Cynthia Johnson | Cynthia Johnson Cynthia Johnson is an American singer, songwriter, saxophonist, producer and actress, best known to many as the lead singer for the late 70s and early 80s band [a=Lipps, Inc.] with the smash-hit Funkytown. Her unmistakable vocal talent has brought her widespread recognition and has been featured in many successful movies and advertising campaigns of large multinational companies. Prior to appearing under the name Lipps Inc. in 1979, Johnson had already become well-known locally for winning the 1976 Miss Black Minnesota, USA pageant, and for being the lead vocalist of the well-known Minneapolis band [a=Flyte Tyme] for seven years. Being also an accomplished saxophone player, Johnson utilized her saxophone talents in Flyte Tyme, and was also the songwriter of many of their songs. Johnson also co-wrote some songs with band members Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, today a multi-Grammy award winning songwriting and producing team. As the lead singer of the popular Minneapolis-based band Lipps, Inc., she hit #1 in 28 countries around the world with the song Funkytown, which sold more than 35 million copies worldwide and earned a place in the "One-Hit Wonders" section of the Rock & Roll Museum in Cleveland, Ohio. But even till today Funkytown continues to influence popular culture from the movie screen (e.g. Shrek 2) and TV screen (e.g. Friends) to the Olympics (2010 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy). Other singles include "Designer Music" and "Rock It", but the group never matched the success of "Funkytown". Lipps, Inc. received several awards, among them three Billboard Music Awards and "Soul Record of the Year" by the AMOA association. Johnson discontinued to appear under the name Lipps, Inc. after their third album "Designer Music" to follow new pathes in her musical career. Johnson remained active as a member of the Grammy award winning choir Sounds of Blackness (1974-today), as a musician on albums by [a=Maceo Parker] and [a=Prince], on labels such as Motown, and on projects of Grammy-winning producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, or as the host of the first TV episode of the FunkyTown TV series, produced by Minneapolis-based production company Megabien Entertainment. Johnson also has sung on TV commercials for international corporations like 3M, Volkswagen, Nissan, Target, FedEx, Ford and McDonald's. Johnson has also performed for U.S. presidents. In 2015, Johnson released her first album "All That I Am" under her own name, which sums up a lifetime of vocal artistry, showing her talents as singer and songwriter but also as a producer. The album was released on December 15, 2013 on the Megabien Music record label. During her musical career Cynthia Johnson has worked with Flyte Tyme Productions, Terry Lewis, Jimmy Jam, Paisley Park Studio, Brown Mark of Motown Records, [a=Chico Debarge], [a=Prince], [a=Alexander O' Neal], [a=Aretha Franklin], [a=Tina Turner], [a=Gloria Gaynor], [a=Maceo Parker], [a=Stacy Lattisaw], [a=Jellybean Johnson], Herb Albert, amongst many others. Since 2013 Johnson is under management contract with independent production company Megabien Entertainment. Official artist website at http://www.cynthiajohnson.net

Adam (from Guster) and Dave (from the Zambonis) realized they had a common musical interest—and were both Jewish. Like the Zambonis, they decided to write songs about a single subject, but after they recorded their first album, took Ramones-like monikers (Adam became Adam LeeVee, Dave became Dave LeeVee), and realized that their subject matter was kind of narrow, they added three more members (who also took the LeeVee surname) and became a band with a Jewish identity.

Link | 1 | 1 | The Walking Dead Orchestra | The Walking Dead Orchestra | The Walking Dead Orchestra | The band was created in 2011 by ex-members of Whisper-X and In Arkadia and quickly became one of promising band in the French Deathcore world In 2011, TWDO composed and recorded a split CD with the Ecuadorian band Descomunal (one of the most popular band in Latin America). This EP was released in July 2012 in Ecuador and in December in France. This collaboration will lead the band to participate to a tour in Latin America in August 2012 with -as peak of this tour- a programming on the QuitoFest (the most important fest in Ecuador which gathers each year about 100 000 people during 3 days). After a series of around thirty shows in France with bands like Betraying The Martyrs, Death Mentality (Austria), Ultra Vomit, Downset or Agnostic Front... The band decided to record its first album « Architects of Destruction ». TWDO has done everything to make its first album's quality irreproachable. In order to do this, the band worked with Mickael Valesi of Sonovore Studio (Macôn) for the recording and the mixing, and with Charles J. Wall ((Whitechapel, Betraying the Martyrs, King Conquer…) of Sonic Assault Studio, Cape Coral, USA for the mastering. As for the artworks, the band was keen to have artworks which highlight TWDO's musical universe. That's why the band worked with Hicham Haddaji of Strychneen Studio (Septic Flesh, As They Burn, Mass Hysteria, The Arrs, Klone, Trepalium…). The album « Architects Of Destruction » will be available on September 2013 with Klonosphere (Label) and will be distributed by Season of Mist. Stay Tuned. As They Burn, Mass Hysteria, The Arrs, Klone, Trepalium…). L’album « Architects Of Destruction » sera disponible en septembre 2013 avec le label Klonosphere et sera distribué par Season Of Mist. Restez connectés.

Drawing inspiration from the foggy landscapes of his birthplace, which drive nighttime thoughts to amplify the desire of taking refuge inside metropolitan vaults, the music of TNKS is the result of a mix between the musical knowledges (Uzeda, Populous, Slint, Teatro degli Orrori, Radiohead, Blonde Redhead, Herbert, Apparat and many others) and the previous avantgarde and noise projects carried on by the artist over the years. TNKS is a project that, other than being conceived and moulded with the phisical help of PC’s and synths, relies heavily on the online aspects of composition and execution.
