Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 20 | Adam Peter Shinn | Adam Peter Shinn hails from the Queen City streets of Charlotte, North Carolina. This is where he develops his unique blend of sonic soundscapes in his home studio: APS studios. Adam has more than twenty years experience as a multi-instrumentalist and music producer. His interest in music as a whole dates back as far as he can remember. "Growing up, I would go out to our driveway to shoot hoops. At the same time, I would hum melodies in my head. Back then, I wished I had a way to get those ideas down so all my friends could hear them. The creative medium of music is my favorite because when it's done right, the emotion is so real. That's true for both the performer and the listener." Shinn's goal is to find a way to express his emotions through music by any appropriate method. "If I'm feeling peaceful and serene, I'll go that route. If a song needs a traditional intro-verse-hook-bridge-outro structure, I'll take it there. But I won't limit myself. You can't limit music. It's all about vibe and less about tradition. I'm trying to be original and true to my senses, which is my mission as a creative."

It was until 1957 when the Aguilar brothers made the decision to go to the capital in search of new horizons. Buenaventura and Felipe gathered enough to buy a guitar, a harp and a jarana, instruments with which they formed their musical group. Shortly after, another of their brothers, José, joined them. MIK proved to be a notable succes and moved rapidly on from an eight members group with a fiddler into a performing group of twenty-two accompanied by [a3590807], a well known Danish quartet. Born 29.1.1938. in Village Bihovi near Trebinje, Bosnia And Hercegovina Husein Kurtagić was born on 29.01.1938 in Trebinje. As a child, he lost his eyesight through a bomb injury in 1945. Despite treatments and two operations, his eyesight did not return, so that he was sent to Belgrade as a seven-year-old child to an educational institution for blind children. After he came to Sarajevo in 1957, he sang at Radio Sarajevo and became a permanent soloist at the age of 19. At the same time, he began to compose songs in the spirit of folk melodies and successfully participated in many folk music festivals, especially the “Ilidža” and “Beogradski sabor” festivals. At these festivals, he performed both as a performer and as an author. He recorded his first records in 1960 and was also the exclusive artist of the then-largest record company “Jugoton” from Zagreb. For this house, he recorded a large number of records from his own collection, as well as songs by other authors. Most of his works were sold in large editions. Among his most famous compositions were: “Bol bolujem draga”, “Ima jedna cura u sokaku mome”, “Moj život je rijeka bez obale” and many more. Nevertheless, the most successful composition was “Ne klepeći nanulama” to the lyrics of Ibrahim Dedić, which was recorded in 26 arrangements and versions. According to record companies and numerous surveys, this song is the most successful melody of composed folk music of all time. Parallel to his singing career, he was involved in the organization of the entertainment industry. As a music manager, he organized countless concerts of all kinds of music for many agencies. At the beginning of 2008, he wrote a book entitled “Muzika mog vremena” (Music of my time). Husein Kurtagić died on 27 November 2008 in Sarajevo. |

Search | Add | 20 | Carlo Bo | Carlo Bo (25 January 1911 – 21 July 2001) was a poet, literary critic, a professor and Life senator of Italy (from 1984). Before the Second World War, in the year 1936, he published an essay on the literary magazine Frontespizio which was gathering together the most relevant poets like Mario Luzi, and contemporary artists from Ottone Rosai to Giorgio Morandi and Quinto Martini. His essay was titled "Letteratura come vita (Literature as a way of life)", containing the theoretical-methodological fundamentals of hermetic poetry. This was to become a strong poetical movement comprising important poets, such as Salvatore Quasimodo and Eugenio Montale, both of whom would go on to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature (1959, 1975). Bo himself, however, never did and, at the age of 86, was rendered incapable of understanding Dario Fo's 1997 receipt of the Nobel Prize in Literature, saying "I must be too old to understand. What does this mean? That everything changes, even literature has changed. Bo was president of University of Urbino from 1947, for more than 50 years.

Search | Add | 20 | MC Mad Doctor | Nate Cahnman | The Mad Doctor is a rapper, producer, and occasional DJ and keyboardist hailing from Chicago, Illinois. Possessing a deep love for the hip-hop culture that began since he was very young, his mindstate as a musician is to always stay true to the game, be yourself, and never sacrifice your art for materialistic things. With a lyrical and production style reminiscent of the old school, the Mad Doctor’s goal is to provide his listeners with raw, dope beats and down-to-earth, truthful, sometimes humorous lyrics, and make sure each new release always brings something stylistically different to the table. When he’s on the mic, his topics include politics, social issues, relationships, friendships, and of course, his stances on hip-hop and the ever shady music industry. He is currently working on his debut album “MALPRACTICE MUSIK,” set to drop later this year. |

Search | Add | 20 | I Canterini Vecchia Sturla | I Canterini Di Sturla - Vecchia Sturla | The Genoese singing team was born on board the ancient ships of the Republic of San Giorgio (from about 1500). Its constitution is explained by the fact that on a ship it was possible to find a tenor, sometimes two and thus a sailor or two who had baritone voices. The basis of this improvised chorus was the more common bass voices. There were no female voices, but it was replaced by some hub or some very young sailor who sang falsetto and who was called contralto. Here is the Genoese singing team formed: a contralto, a tenor, one or two baritones and seven or eight basses. Vecchia Sturla is one of those teams, the best known and by far the best. To understand and taste its character and style, we must not forget that it is made up of authentic workers, unaware of music, who sing by ear, learning their parts by heart and relying solely on their innate musical instinct. In his songs Vecchia Sturla almost improvise; and the inevitable imperfections of execution, instead of diminishing interest, increase it. Who listens and he has to have the feeling to hear the people sing who has not studied music, but that music is in his blood. Who does not know what counterpoint and harmony is, tonic and dominant, fourth or fifth jump, but which simply and naively expresses that deep vein of singing that is proper to the Italian soul. |

Utilizing an extensive library of samples (typically derived from children´s TV shows), the band has released records in an eclectic variety of genres ranging from Blackened Grindcore to lofi Hip-Hop to easy-listening ballads. Prolific is the best way to describe the relentless arsenal of albums released month after month by the band. Recurring elements include: spoken word vocals haphazardly played over a dissonant slap bass line, reinterpretations of songs from the 60s and 70s, and cacophonous songs layered with dozens of tracks. The influence of Wesley Willis can be heard in songs like “Bizarre Jordan Triangle” and “Zach Manack” which feature humorous, confusing, and absurd lyrics. Song themes generally revolve around fictional stories of Kevin's friends or musings on obscure or asinine facets of life.

Switched on by the bump music that played between shows on Adult Swim, a late night block of cartoons that airs on Cartoon Network, Khalil became intrigued by the beats that would play and dreamed that one day he could make and hear his own beats being played. From then on he began to study music even more by picking up violin and learning the guitar as a basis to understanding the fundamental structure of music and its foundation. Soon after becoming more exposed to music of different genres, styles and cultures alongside the various beat makers that can be found on such labels as Ghostly International, Warp, Alpha Pup, Stones Throw, Leaving Records, Brainfeeder, Young Arts Records and other legendary beat makers such as J Dilla, Madlib, Black Milk, Nujabes and Dibia$e, he began crafting his own individual sound of expression to constantly evolve as an artist and a person.

Search | Add | 19 | Lito Escarso | Argentinian pianist, orchestra director from Santa Fe (died in 2008).
