Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Other labels he has created or was involved in includes [l87343]/[l718725], [l486213], and several publishing companies. Neal Hemphill (born 1930 in Mobile, died 1985 in Birmingham) was a plumber and record producer who operated the a recording studio from the basement of his Midfield plumbing shop between 1966 and 1985. Hemphill recorded tracks for numerous musicians and songwriters that went on to greater acclaim, releasing many of them on his own Sound of Birmingham, Hemphill, Black Kat and Crown LTD labels. The studio's biggest hit was Frederick Knight's 1972 R&B ballad "I've Been Lonely for So Long", which was licensed to Stax Records. Hemphill was born in Mobile and had tried singing professionally with the gospel group "The Commander's Quarter". In the 1960s he moved his family to Birmingham and opened a plumbing business. In 1966 he opened up a private recording studio, which he named the Sound of Birmingham, in the basement of his plumbing shop. He experimented constantly with recording equipment and techniques and, over time, developed a characteristic sound for the studio that emphasized creativity and experimentation. That sound, as well as Hemphill's liberal philosophy on paying for sessions, attracted a number of young artists. In 1976 Hemphill suffered a heart attack and had to sell his recently-completed larger studio. Don Moseley purchased the equipment, including a 16-track mixing board Hemphill had bought from Jimi Hendrix's Electric Ladyland studio, and moved Sound of Birmingham downtown. In the 1980's Hemphill returned to recording, opening Hemphill Studios in his old studio space next to the plumbing shop. He died in 1985. His son, Neal Hemphill, Jr still runs the plumbing business. The output of the studio has been licensed to Chicago DJ and promoter John Ciba, who is releasing a CD compilation of classic Sound of Birmingham tracks called "The Birmingham Sound: The Soul of Neal Hemphill".

(Saladillo being a district of Maracaibo) "Los Gaiteros del Pueblo" was also sometimes added to the name of the band. Later, in 1971, Ramón Quintero registered the name "Conjunto Saladillo" on his own and created a spin-off with some musicians, known as [b][a4950192][/b]: this is a different group to the original, but they issued some LPs with the same name "Conjunto Saladillo". And at the same time, the rest of the initial band remained as El Conjunto Saladillo de Nerio Matheus or, later as "El Auténtico Saladillo". What makes it sometimes difficult to precisely credit the band. And today, 9 different gaita band exist with "Saladillo" in their name! A book dedicated to the band was even issued in 2015.

Search | Add | 15 | Pierfrancesco Grossi | Pierfrancesco Grossi is an Italian DJ Producer born on June 10, 1989. He is eldest son of the Italian DJ Mr. Robert, he grew up frequenting many clubs, watching his father put the disks on the console. He immediately became passionate about disco music and independently learned to mix at home using with a pair of Technics 1210 MK2 and his father’s numerous vinyl records, with the intention of creating a personal mixing technique and without too many influences. At the age of 12 he puts records for the first time in front of an audience: it was the end of year party of the middle school he attended. From there, he begins a long journey as a DJ alongside his father in the family club. A few years later he approached music production and, with the help of his father, he designs a small home studio where he starts studying sound, experimenting with synths up to the production of some dance remixes, however never released. In 2009 he came into contact with Paolo Aliberti, who managed Supersonik Records, the label with which he released his rst single entitled Cricket Night, followed by other musical projects. Between 2012 and 2018 he mainly devoted himself to DJing, putting records on private parties but also in various places in Rome and its province. In 2019 he founded his own label, Technopathy, but in parallel he decided to send demos around, getting in touch with numerous artists and record producers. In 2020 “Insomnia” comes out and thus becomes part of the Beenoise Records team.

Search | Add | 15 | Mavi Huydur Bende | Serkan Atay | Mavi Huydur Bende 2015’te Serkan Atay tarafından Indie ve Alternatif Pop-Rock tarzlarında solo bir proje olarak başladı. TR: Adını Edip Cansever'in Günlerden şiirinden alan projenin başlangıç noktası şiir bestelemekti. EN: "Mavi Huydur Bende" began in 2015 as a solo project in the genres of indie and alternative pop-rock, initiated by Serkan Atay. The starting point of the project, named after Edip Cansever's poem "Günlerden", was to compose music inspired by poetry. Within this concept, many poems were set to music. However, preferring to be more original before releasing these songs, the project abandoned this idea and started focusing solely on songs written and composed by itself. In 2016, the project released its first single, "Şehri Getir Gel". In 2017, Serkan Atay met guitarist Okan Acarbaş. The duo decided to continue their journey together and in 2018, they released their first album, "Bahçe", recorded in their home studio. Their song titled "Geçmiş Ama Bitmemiş" from the album was featured in the TV series "Çocukluk". This album was followed by five singles. "Mavi Huydur Bende" describes itself as "an independent music project that feeds on anything that involves humans and can touch humans, and pursues good music." |

The band had its origins in 2003 when singer John Vento began a studio recording project that he titled “Nied’s Hotel” as a tribute to Jim Nied, proprietor of the landmark Pittsburgh tavern of the same name, which also was the source of inspiration for many of the songs. Vento, along with noted musician/producer Buddy Hall, began the process of bringing these new songs to life, coaxing amazing performances from an all-star roster of Pittsburgh musicians – Reb Beach, Kenny Blake, Pete Hewlett, B.E. Taylor, Norman Nardini, Tom Bellin, Joe Munroe, Scott Anderson and Jim Britton. But no one had more impact than John’s primary session drummer, Ron Beitle. As the original drummer for Wild Cherry (“Play That Funky Music”), Ron brought his considerable drumming talents and gold record experience to the “Nied’s Hotel” project, released on CD in 2004.The next release, 2007′s “The Way That You Roll,” was again recorded with session players, but Vento, along with drummer Beitle, decided it was time to start performing this material at live shows. The new release was credited to “John Vento and The Nied’s Hotel Band,” but the live band line-up changed frequently while John and Ron searched for the right chemistry between players. Along the way, some fine musicians became NHB alums, but none more important than singer/songwriter/guitarist Stephen Christopher, who left his mark by penning the songs “600 Under” and “Need A Lover,” which are still mainstays of the NHB live show. Then, in early 2009, Beitle recruited his life-long friend, Russ Oblinger (bass) to join the band. Russ had just returned to Pittsburgh after a long and successful career as one of Detroit’s best session players. With these two guys in place, NHB now had a tight and accomplished rhythm section. The band began to fine-tune their sound and develop more original material. Within a year or so, Tim Hadley, Fred Delu, Ed Jonnet, and Jim McCullough had all joined the band. With a consistent lineup and a killer new sound, the band went to work writing and arranging new original songs and creating a live show that reflected the band’s powerful personality. By May of 2011, NHB was ready to make a real rock-n-roll album. No more session players, just a well-rehearsed band entering the studio to play and record as one. Basic tracks were recorded live at Vento’s Corbriwood Studios in West Deer, PA, followed by post-production and mixing at Buddy Hall’s Beacon Hill Studio. The results were released in 2012 as an EP called “Side One”. Although pleased with the results, the band, having grown leaps and bounds as a performing, arranging and writing unit since their inception, wanted to try something a little different. The band enlisted Klint Macro, who had just moved back to the area after a successful career in the Los Angeles studio scene, to be their new engineer/producer. The band recorded all of their new material at Klint’s Cobblesound Recording Co., as well as re-arranging and re-mixing the “Side One” material. The finished full-length CD, “One Night Stand”, was released in July of 2014. Unfortunately, upon its completion, drummer Ron Beitle and bassist Russ Oblinger decided to leave the band for personal reasons, with Bob Fetherlin and Frank DeCarolis, both accomplished players in their own right, stepping in to fill the void. Like any great rock-n-roll band, NHB prides itself on delivering high-energy, entertaining, live shows. The band has made a major investment in its live production sound and lights, and is blessed to have one of the finest and most professional crews around.

Search | Add | 15 | Dolly Kay | Dora Kirschenbaum | Dolly Kay (12 June 1900? – 26 August 1982) was an American vaudeville singer who recorded in the 1920s and was one of the first white singers to incorporate blues songs into her repertoire, most notably "Hard-Hearted Hannah". Details of her life are obscure. She was probably born Dora Kirschenbaum in New York City in 1900. She lived with her parents in Westchester, New York, and worked as a stenographer. According to a Los Angeles Times article in 1923, she was so inspired by seeing a vaudeville performance a few years previously that she introduced herself to an agent, who auditioned her and immediately hired her. She began performing as a singer on the Orpheum Circuit, with pianist Phil Phillips, who remained her accompanist for at least the next twenty years. She was described by one reviewer as "one of the better hot type vocalists... a distinctive singer of her day". She recorded for Columbia Records between 1921 and 1924. Her first recording, "Cry Baby Blues", was made in New York in October 1921, and the following year she had commercial success with "You've Got To See Mama Ev'ry Night (Or You Can't See Mama At All)", which she recorded with Frank Westphal and his Orchestra. Her biggest success came with "Hard-Hearted Hannah", which she was one of the first singers to record, in 1924. She also recorded several other blues songs from Tin Pan Alley songwriters, including "Wabash Blues" (1921), "Sweet Man O' Mine" (1922) and "It Takes A Good Woman (To Keep A Good Man At Home)" (1926). Her later recordings were released on the Harmony label — a subsidiary of Columbia — and finally, in 1928, by Vocalion Records. She also used the pseudonyms Margaret White to record for Lincoln Records, and Sally Freeman on Harmony, and recorded as a member of two vocal groups, the University Six and the Georgians, led by trumpeter Frank Guarente. She continued to perform in vaudeville and cabaret, in Chicago and elsewhere, in the 1930s and 1940s. In 1942, Billboard reported of a performance in Chicago that she was "long a favorite in local spots... Dolly Kay (with Phil Phillips at the piano) is of the old stock and sells tunes with the force of a veteran...". Her last known performance was in Los Angeles in 1965, when she appeared in a variety show to honor the 40-year career of theatre and movie star Fifi D'Orsay. She died in Los Angeles in 1982, at which time she was also known as Dolly Riccio. |

Give me a little hand to hold in mine; Give me a little child to point the way Over the strange, sweet path that leads to Thee. Give me a little voice to teach to pray; Give me two shining eyes Thy face to see. The only crown I ask. dear Lord, to wear Is this; That I may. teach a little child. Search | Add | 15 | Ray Price Quartet | The Ray Price Quartet was formed in the early 60s in Sydney. Ray Price had been a member of The Port Jackson Jazz Band since 1947, then the short-lived Dixielanders in 1952, before reforming the Port Jackson Jazz Band, 1955-1962.. Besides his work as a jazz musician he was also a member of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra during the 50s as a double bass player. Defying an ultimatum from the ABC (who sponsored the SSO concerts) regarding his jazz activities, he was dismissed from the SSO amid considerable publicity in 1956. Soon after Price formed a trio for the Macquarie Hotel, which, ironically, was heard in 1959 by a guest SSO conductor, Constantin Silvestri, who gave it high praise. With changed personnel and augmented to a quartet, the group moved to the Adams Hotel's Tavern of the Seas on George Street Sydney; this residency concluded in 1966. Many famous names passed through the ranks of the band including Col Nolan, Dick Hughes and John Sangster. Signed to CBS their first release was the Sidney Bechet composed ''A Moi De Payer'' which made the top twenty on the charts in 1962. In 1965 they charted with the folk song ''Puff The Magic Dragon''. Search | Add | 15 | LEOZ!NHO | Léo Caille | A Franco-Brazilian national, LEOZ!NHO is influenced from a very young age by many influences, including those of the French Touch and the English wave. At the age of 7, he entered the conservatory to practice musical theory and cello. Very quickly, he discovers the turntables and trains as soon as possible. At the age of 14, he began performing in various venues and perfected his style. In 2012, he began to take an interest in production, remixing his favorite funk songs. It is through this means that he is spotted by Carré Bleu and Klup Records. This is followed by a first official EP on Boutade Musique. In 2016, LEOZ!NHO was acclaimed by PWFM listeners and got the opportunity to appear on the collective's first vinyl with its Sincerely Jack track, a real hymn to the sun with its enchanting groove. Several EPs followed on the labels Disco Balls Records, Aspen Inc Records, Juiced Musique and Spacedisco Records. Like his productions, his sets mix funk, house and techno, and infuse the audience with positive energies in a club and energetic atmosphere. |
