Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024

Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

The energies between natural life forms and technology are brought to life as he transcends between alien landscapes veiled in vivid auras crawling with beasts juxtapozed with dream like sci-fi elements. Karuniawan’s preoccupation with unlocking the unconscious mind is reflected in his style.

Search Add 15 Haris Čizmić Dorian Grey Haris Cizmic formed his first band in 1995 but he hit the music industry in a big way in 2009 when he won the title of Hard Rock's Ambassador of Rock for the year, got signed and released his third and most progressive album by date. That was a good year for Haris in many ways: he released his “Ingray” project, performed with national and international acts and shot several music videos. However, this wasn’t the culmination of his career, in fact that was just the beginning. It was during this time that Haris started exploring other music styles and genres. He started using his own name, as opposed to his previous projects Ingray, Axa, and Therion. Not that these bands weren’t successful, quite the opposite; each groups boasts their own international awards and recognitions. Most importantly, at that time, Haris began a new career and found himself writing and producing for other musicians, as well as recording and performing as a solo artist. Of course he’s had the support of great musicians, like Dave Dupuie, Rocquell Wallace, and others, who appear alongside him in his new work and at live shows. And so, after years of eclectic Euro/American metal mixed with blues, pop, rock, electronic and ethnic music, Haris is officially in new territory as he explores neo-industrial grounds, acoustic rock, electronic goa and film music scores. In 2011 Haris was asked to arrange and perform the soundtrack for "One Last Call", an independent short film that won numerous festival awards. In addition to his work on the soundtrack for the film, Haris also assisted with script writing, video editing, special effects and postproduction in his Detroit-based studio. His work on “One Last Call” wasn’t Haris’ first time working in the film industry; his first movie score was almost ten years earlier, in 2002, for "Escaping Otis" which premiered at the Sundance Festival that year. Haris owes much of his success to other artists who have inspired him, like Tom Waits and Danzig. These artists have helped Haris realize that the production is also part of the song and it's feeling. He doesn’t force everything to sound big and clean, but rather he uses the way it sounds as a part of the song, for a more authentic and organic sound. Haris is also an awarded creative designer and artist. Catch Haris Cizmic’s music videos and songs on television and radio both in the US and Europe. Among his latest releases are "the Worst of - first 20 years" (2015), and a single "Breathe in Water" (2016)

In 1987 he recorded the song, “My Nymphomaniac”, and in 1988 he formed a two-man group called, ONE-TWO (Featuring: Jay-Bee & T. Perry). They performed a song titled, “NO”, at the RAP IT UP Rhode Island talent show held at the Roger Williams Park Temple of Music in Providence, Rhode Island. The theme was substance abuse. After winning second place, he wrote, “The Fork”, and soon after that, they were invited to join other contestants who wrote and recorded songs that were all featured on the full-length Rap It Up! cassette, sponsored by the Urban League of Rhode Island. It was released on September 24, 1988. When the duo lost contact, Jay-Bee went on a brief hiatus and returned in 1991 embarking on a mission to continue writing and recording several projects up until 1993. He sporadically recorded and released his music in 1998, and 2001, and returned with a vengeance in 2015, reinventing himself with the name change, Johnny JayBee Barboza. He continues to record and self-release his independent records to this present day.

Search Add 15 Arthur Buezo Arthur Buezo Arthur's one-man band of self-branded savage folk is an experience not to be missed! The music is an engrossing fusion crisscrossing the gritty sounds of the desert, fueling a sense of a once Wild West meeting Middle-Eastern mystics and gypsy travelers along the way. It is driving and edgy, yet deeply contemplative and connective to many of the landscapes that nurtured a given song’s inspiration. Born in upstate New York, Arthur now resides in Southern Oregon. He has toured all over the US in 2023, playing over 100 shows from coast to coast. Taken from his bandcamp page.. "Where Arthur Buezo is from and has developed cant be pin-pointed, as he has travelled all of his life. Throughout these travels, music has been the main constant for him. Arthur Buezo has been a professional musician since 2010 and now is a One-Man-Band performer bringing the self titled genre, Savage Folk. While keeping original music live and well, sooner or later he will come to your venue"

Search Add 15 Monday Listening Club MONDAY LISTENING CLUB is a globally distributed group of artists collaborating on a journey through the decades of lost music. Through patchwork, sampling lost works, collage, composition and creation... new music emerges. Led by group of 5-time platinum music producer and collaborating artists with 200+ productions / remix projects, Monday Listening Club brings together a group of diverse artists in Vancouver, Hong Kong, New York, London & Los Angeles. Their first art-project release - Lost but found This project captures the energy and optimism of artists, groups, songwriters, producers, and musicians whose stories were buried in the obscurity of the record label machine, for one reason or another. A track that was never explored, an album that collected dust, a track that was a blip in the timeline of musical consumption. Rights that were sold and merged and sold again. Masters missing, diminished quality, liner notes and credits all deleted, buried in the landfills. Magic lost to the dusty shelf of time. Our project is an outsider’s view of these stories, a journey to rediscover what was lost. To breathe fresh air through musical interpolation. A modern day collaboration samples lost vinyl with fresh tracks from around the world to create a connected, personal sound of memories past. All in the blaring sunshine of a Californian Sunday, a residual of the best weekend among friends. Monday Listening Club breathes fresh life into tracks for the “you may also like” generation, fusing together and reworking the dozens of compositions that inspired our project, all woven into something new. Inhale the smell of old dusty vinyl. Walk the overgrown path created by songwriters with stories to tell. Stories lost and found some 50 years later. Patched, sampled, reworked into something new.

"Alone", his first album, features some themes and melodies that, in their first form, were composed during the past years on a loop machine, like a sort of personal diary. Later these tracks abandoned their vertical arrangement to embrace a new horizontal one, spiced with some subtle electronics as well. The music of Gianluca is full of passion, melancholy and energy, bringing the listener through paths of both joy and introspection.
