Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 6 | L. Don Ohkami | Donald Lupo | L. Don Ōkami is the nom de banjo of Tampere transplant Don Lupo from South Carolina via Switzerland, Germany, Japan and Ireland. Don has been playing American for 45 years and clawhammer banjo for almost 30. He interprets traditional American music, country blues, in your face honky-tonk country and contemporary material, always with much love but never too much respect for the original sources, true to his motto “save folk music from the folkies”. More recently he has explored the space between folk music, American Primitive improvisations, drones, noise and banjo with the aid of loopers, effects and collaborators, creating something he sometimes calls “psychedelic stoner banjo”. His first solo album “Judgement Day in Pyynikki” was released on Hulina Records in 2018 and has received good reviews. In addition to his solo work, Don plays traditional American folk and country blues with The Candyland Crawdads, experimental folk with The Fractal Cauliflowers, and punk-country and doombilly with Dark Bottle. |

Smoleński also co-founded K.O.T and several other bands, producing a few critically-acclaimed albums. Konrad Smolenski graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań. During his student years, he was among the few photographers, alongside Paweł Kula, Przemek Jesionek and Marek Noniewicz, who experimented with long exposures on photosensitive papers, trying to capture "sun arcs" in the sky. This movement in experimental photography uses pinhole cameras with ultra-long exposure and no chemical processing to capture the sun's daily journey along the sky).

The three brothers, under the watchful eye of their father (and bassist) Courtney Panton Sr., called themselves New Kingston to appropriately reflect a combination of their Jamaican heritage and their present lives in progressive New York City. Search | Add | 6 | Heybale | The Band, the Myth, the Legend... Heybale! has been holding down Sunday nights at the Continental Club in Austin since 2000. In the current band incarnation, Tom Lewis is playing drums, Redd Volkaert holds court on guitar, Earl Poole Ball pounds out the piano, Kevin Smith plays bass, and Dallas Wayne plays rhythm guitar. With a constant stable of the town’s very best players, the sounds coming from the stage on any Sunday night bring in dancers, hipsters, late nighters and off-duty musicians. Ironically, the beginning of Heybale! was actually at the End -- a club in Nashville where the band played its first performance. The only “post-Nashville” members of the band at that time were Tom and Redd, although they did meet a country singer named Gary Claxton who had recently moved to Nashville from Oklahoma. In 2000, Tom decided to move to Austin where he ran into Earl – they had met previously at the Palomino in Hollywood nearly 10 years before then. Within that same year, Redd and Gary also relocated to Austin, and by June of that year Heybale! had been resurrected. Come on out and kick up your heels on Sunday nights at the Continental Club; you won't regret it. Enjoy!

"Entrail's debut release is two dark and brooding pieces of classically influenced experimental music. Layers of noise, keys and violin provide a foundation for lyrics rife with dagger sharp social commentary and expression of the hopelessness of the human condition. Dismal in tone and beautifully grim, "Ursula" is positively haunting." --Flossless Audio

Search | Add | 6 | Jean Dovy | Jean Dovy | J Dovy has defined the characteristics of the French house sound and created his own style of “filtered house,” and “tekfunk.” Combining the two ingredients with a deep house vibe you can hear early influences by pioneers Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Shep Petibone, and Todd Terry. In 1997 J Dovy released his first track titled “Deep in Underground” on House Trade Records, under the moniker D&S. Later in 2010 he signed with various dance labels releasing more than 150 tracks on Soul Shift Music, Law Recordings, Disco Birds, Nylon Trax Records, and many others. His weekly podcast, “Burn It” consisting of deep house mixes grew a large audience with over 50,000 downloads over a three year period time, making it a total of 90 episodes. J Dovy helped put Lyon, France on the map while collaborating with other local artists and musicians. He formed Men From Nobu with fellow band mate Vartan Fau, a jazz pianist. “Nobu” is a track by Herbie Hancock, a popular musician beloved by the duo. Previous releases, were made under the names of Effendi and FueL, on Dovy’s chill out and funk label Lokossa Music. J’s second label Raw Matter Recordings caters to the more underground vibe releasing music from lesser known artists. Both labels have made boutique shop recommendations, such as Traxsource, Juno Download, also charted by DJ and producer Larry Heard. In 2014 J Dovy regrouped the two labels Raw Matter Recordings and Lokossa Music and formed dovymusic with sub labels Groove Park Records and somanymusic. |

Pernell has been well received at festivals, pubs, clubs, bars, cafes and coffee houses throughout Western Canada. The band features Pernell on guitar (acoustic & electric), banjo, harmonica and vocals, Ross Christopher Fairbairn on bass and backup vocals and Tom Tischer on drums and backup vocals. Their music is acoustic based roots rock, fast folk, alt-country or cow punk. tarting in the late 90’s Pernell & his guitar lived the life of an itinerant roamer: Tree planting in the mountains of BC, farming on kibbutz’s in the Middle East & Great Britain, working oil rigs in the Canadian oil patch – Pernell perfected his guitar playing style and began to pen the songs that would become his narrative. Performing as a solo artist throughout those early years on the stage of a pub in Bristol, England – or at an open mic on The Drive in Vancouver, BC Pernell developed his unique panache – a style of guitar playing described as high energy with fast finger-picking numbers that keep the audience captivated. In 2004 Pernell founded his first band known as Pernell Reichert and the Hard Drinkers. With a lot of serious hard work that year, the band developed a tight set with an upbeat tempo & a full thick sound. In 2005, with Pernell’s solo album in hand, the band set out on their first month-long debut tour of western Canada. Most of 2006 was spent in the studio preparing their first CD as a band, interspersed with venues that enabled them to refine their performance as a group. In 2007 they embarked on several five-day tours, breaking into the western Canada touring circuit. In 2008 Pernell Reichert and the Hard Drinkers released their self-titled album followed by a 39 day tour of western Canada that took the boys from Vancouver to Winnipeg and back. June to July Pernell toured solo from BC to southern Ontario. The band joined in for August and September. That fall Pernell Reichert and the Hard Drinkers went international with a 10-shows-in-10-days tour of South Africa which produced a live recording later included on their 2011 EP. In 2011 they became The Pernell Reichert Band and released their second CD: “Highway of Tears.” More touring followed with highlights including the 2012 Edge of the world Music Festival in Haida Gwaii, BC; 2013 Wells Festival of all Things Art in Wells, BC; 2013 Rock Creek Fall Fair in Rock Creek, BC (sharing the stage with Fred Penner); the 2014 Rock Creek Fall Fair (sharing the stage with Charlotte Diamond); the 2015 Cowboy Festival in Nordegg, Alberta (sharing the stage with Marty Haggard). 2016 saw the release of their third effort entitled “The Road (You Ain't the One)”.

Search | Add | 6 | Kids Indestructible | Tim Robinson and Phil Quaite | Kids Indestructible are Tim Robinson and Phil Quaite. Both hail from Yorkshire, England and first began recording, under the name Antidote, in 1998. Encouraged by their friend, Beatnik Records boss Carl Emery, Antidote released a 12" EP on that label called "Riot in Studio 54". This experiment in combining the disco sound of Chic with Drum &Bass gained favourable reviews in DJ Magazine among others and eventually sold out its modest run of 500. Later they would change their style to a more expansive, ambient electronic sound. They adopted a new name, Kids Indestructible (chosen as it sounded like a cartoon series yet to be made). They decided on 'Please Avoid Strong Light' as a potential album title which has since become their catchphrase and band logo. The phrase is taken from the text on the back of packets of Seabrook Crisps manufactured in Bradford in their native Yorkshire. This also became the title of one of their definitive tracks, a vocoderised Beach Boy chant mixed with electronic drones and jaunty piano, which grabbed the attention of Parisian record label, Gooom Disques. This combination of unexpected musical influences sums up the Kids Indestructible sound very well. |

Search | Add | 6 | Patterson Barrett | Austin, Texas singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist known for pedal steel, Dobro, and electric guitar and keyboards. Patterson Barrett moved to Austin shortly after appearing on Jerry Jeff Walker’s first release on MCA records, playing pedal steel, dobro, and guitar (including the song “L.A. Freeway”). Not long after arriving in Austin, he formed the band Partners In Crime, which included Buddy and Julie Miller, releasing one album on their own label, Criminal Records. In the years since, Patterson produced some of Hal Ketchum’s earliest demos, served in Al Kooper’s back-up band, and performed before 10,000 festival-goers as Chuck Berry’s pianist. He accompanied Nancy Griffith on Austin City Limits, legendary Austin singer Lou Ann Barton in music clubs around the country, and Buddy Miller on several records including his recent collaboration with Jim Lauderdale, Buddy & Jim. Patterson's discography includes three solo endeavors—I Must Be Dreaming (2007), "When I Was Your Age…" (2012), and the 2018 release, Give ‘Em What They Want. He cites Neil Young and country-rock pioneers Poco and the Flying Burrito Brothers as his early influences, as well as soul stalwarts such as Sam and Dave, The Temptations, and Marvin Gaye. His music has been compared to John Hiatt, The Band (whose song “Sleeping” he lovingly covers), and Ryan Adams.

Ideologicznie świadomie i celowo zespół wspiera akcje antyrasistowskie, wolnościowe i ekologiczne. Search | Add | 6 | DJ Snoyl | Joe Lyons | One of Boston's best kept secrets, DJ Snoyl, a.k.a "The Remix All-Star", has been impressing hip-hop fans nationally and internationally for the past seven years. In 1996 Snoyl began his career spinning hip-hop and knew that entertaining the masses was his calling. Snoyl's extensive experience in the music industry is evident to any ear that hears his unique mixing flavor. He began in '96 as a radio mix-show DJ at WBIM 91.5 FM. In 1997, Snoyl became the Urban Music Director at WBIM. He was also working for a mobile DJ company on the weekends. Working at colleges and high school dances gave Snoyl even more experience with mixing. Tearin' up the land of mix-tapes/CDs. It was big from the start. Despite limited resources, Snoyl's first mix-tape release made it big, real big. The tape, titled "Freestyles 2000", featured all original freestyle raps from both local hip-hop artists and internationally known artists including Eminem and members of the Wu-Tang Clan. The fact that this local unknown DJ was releasing his first major mixtape with over 50 known hip-hop artists doing exclusives gave Snoyl more than a foot in the door. "I recorded that tape in my parents basement with two tape decks and a Discman when I was home on college vacation. These were freestyles that artists had mailed to me and even left on my voicemail! I never imagined that it would be as big as it was!" said Snoyl. More recently, Snoyl has been on the grind with some major mix-CD releases. Last summer he released a double Jay-Z and 50 Cent Blend CD during the Roc The Mic tour. This CD set features over 50 acapella tracks from the duo, blended over beats from Eminem, Dre, and others. If you're a Biggie fans, you already have a copy of Snoyl's recently released "The Christopher Wallace Project" This Notorious B.I.G. tribute CD hosts 43 tracks mixed by Snoyl. In addition to the "Snoyl Blends" of classic and rare Biggie material, freestyles, rare interviews and Biggie demo tracks, Snoyl surprises listeners with never-before-released remixes, "I have been researching this project for about a year and I made sure that at least 75% of the tracks (these versions) on my CD have never been released before by any DJ on any mixtape." Says Snoyl. Snoyl fans have also been waiting in anticipation for his new CD set titled "DJ Snoyl - New Artist Series" The first artist featured is Pop / R&B singer, BL. He competed in the USA World Showcase in Las Vegas last summer, placing first in the male vocal category out of approximately 42,000 applicants worldwide. The BL mix-CD features exclusive "Snoyl remixes" with Kanye West, Method Man, and others. Whether Snoyl is spinning hip-hop at a club, or cutting up vinyl at a concert, he is known for one thing…moving the crowd. Snoyl has performed on stage with major acts like Busta Rhymes and smaller acts like Boston locals "The Kreators". No matter what the venue, the crowd is always moving while Snoyl is on the tables - he has DJ-ed sold out venues of 2000+ along with many smaller venues in Boston and around the country. "I love looking out at the crowd and seeing that one person standing still in the middle of the crowd looking at me with a confused look on their face like 'How did he get this remix'" laughs Snoyl Snoyl's style is rare, if not one of-a-kind to the hip-hop scene. He is one of the only DJ's that mixes instrumentals and acapellas live. He creates live new blends as he DJ's! Those in attendance at Snoyl's shows are always in awe of his hypnotic mixing style that is guaranteed to be a hit with any hip-hop crowd. To book Snoyl worldwide, contact his agent, Jaime Andrews at booking@snoyl.com Get your hands on Snoyl. Snoyl CDs should be a mandatory part of any hip-hop fans CD collection. Every CD that he has released is mixed non-stop with no talking. He keeps the "mix" in mixtape. "A lot of DJ's today don't mix. They put together a compilation of random new songs and talk over it. No mixing, no blending, no scratching, no creativity. "Mix" tapes are an art form that have been unfortunately forgotten" Snoyl says. Snoyl takes pride in his patience to spend a month or more putting together a concept CD that is well thought out and meaningful. By the time Snoyl's new projects hit the shelves, they are packed with blends and remixes that many times, no other DJ has. A local music chain that carries Snoyl's CD's in all 24 of their locations sold out of Snoyl's Jay-Z & 50 Cent double Blend CD production in less than a week! To date, Snoyl has ten different mix-CD's that are selling consistently around the globe and online.
