Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 6 | Purveyor of Death | Purveyor of Death is a metalcore band from Norway which was founded in December 2010. The original lineup got a change in the summer of 2011 as Eirik Gausen (Vocals) decided to leave the band. They did a few concerts as a 4 piece band in the autumn of 2011. Remi Aleksander Borgsø joined the band at Christmas 2011. In the spring of 2011 Unknown Weakness was written, and several other songs were added during 2011. 2012 started with studio sessions for Man of Sin and I'll find my way. Man of Sin was to become their first vinyl single, and it made quite attention as the music video of this song participated in a local band competition. 3 more songs were recorded during 2012. Retaliation was recorded in January 2013 and released as a 10" vinyl single in June. Purveyor of Death are heading towards faster, harder and more complicated music, and are leaving the metalcore style. 5 new songs are planned to be recorded in the start of 2014, and a 12" EP or LP will be released within a year. _________________________________________________________________________________________________

Search | Add | 6 | Ricky Zaziky + Die Holidays | Novelty and parody project by [a=Mathias Bozó], starting in 1993 with the song "Du hast noch Sperma in den Haaren", that in the subsequent years was accomplished with a bunch of similar songs. In order to mark the project as a parody and to separate it from his other projects, the artist created the fictional character [a=Ricky Zaziky]. The early demos were produced and recorded by Mathias Bozó himself in Heidelberg. After sending a demo tape to german TV station VIVA in 1997, the artist appeared on [a=Stefan Raab]'s Vivasion TV show with the Sperma song (and a fake playback band). 1998 four tracks from the repertoire were released on a music cassette (later available as free mp3 download on ponkoff-music.de) with all music played by the artist. 2002 the artist appeared on british Channel 4, once again with the Sperma song. After moving to Lüneburg in 2002, Mathias renewed the concept, the songs and the stage show for his Ricky Zaziky appearances. He formed a live band (The Holidays) and recorded new versions of the old songs and some new novelty songs. In 2008 he published a Promo EP with four songs, followed by a full album, recorded with his band and a couple of guest musicians. Anyway, the concept of the project and the musicians had aged in between, so shortly after the album release Mathias Bozó ended the project, seeing the 2008 album as a gift for all fans who had been waiting for the album for nearly 15 years.

Search | Add | 6 | The Space-Makers | Big Beat Band (1963-1966) Carsten "Krasser" Weber Vocal, Boris Blinoff (Guitar), Jørn "Grye" Nielsen (Organ), Hans Kelp (Drums) Jørn Bonnesen (Bass) formed in Odense Denmark in 1963 with the following members: Carsten Weber (lead-voc.) Jørn Bonnesen (bass) Hans Kelp (ex- Apron Strings, dm) Jørn Mader (ex-Teen Beats, rhythm-gt) Boris »Binkowski« Blinoff (ex- Les Amis, lead gt) Originally played in the style of Cliff Richard & Shadows, but changed the style when Big Beat -broke through, & was especially inspired by the Indonesian group - The Javalins. During a tour to Hamburg's Star Club in the summer of 1964, Blinoff left the group and joined the German group Avalons. Mader took over lead-gt. & Jørn Grüe Nielsen (ex- Rebels, org) stepped in. In the spring of 1965, Blinoff returned and Mader stepped down. This crew won the Funen Championship in Pop Music 1965 & was placed as No. 3 at the subsequent DM in the Falkoner Center the same year, which led to a record contract and the broadcast of (1). At the end of 1965, Blinoff and Grüe left and were replaced by Niels Erik »Speedy« Sejr-Nielsen (org) (ex-Teen Beats) Poul Andy Andersen (lead-gt)(ex-Teen Beats). Spacemakers disbanded in the summer of 1966. The group played primarily on Funen and in Jutland, i.a. in Centrum Pop in Århus, Tyrolerlandsbyen in Vejle and in Hot House in Odense. Was also widely used warm-up group for foreign groups in Fyens Forum, i.a. The Rolling Stones, Pretty Things and Swinging Blue Jeans. Weber and Andy Andersen continued with Les Amis. For the city of Odense's 1000th anniversary in 1988, Mader, Blinoff and Kelp restore the group for a single day, and are assisted by Torben Wulff (bass). Once again the group is restored in 1992 and 1993 - this time, however, with Thomas Jacobsen on el-b. At the event "Rock with wrinkles 2000" in Odense, the group was resurrected with 4 of the members who formed it in 1963, as well as one of the 1965 members: Mader, Blinoff, Andersen, Bonnesen and Kelp (Bonnesen had not had a bass guitar in his hand in 33 years!). Also played in June and August 2001 respectively in Den Fynske Landsby and in Kongens Have and again at "Rock med Rynker" 2001, 2002, 2003 (Kelp stopped and was replaced by Jesper Olsen (ex-Roust About, Nemo and others)) , 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 (2008 unfortunately without an ill Mader), 2009, 2010, 2011: Bonnesen, Jesper I. Olsen (dm), Andersen, Peter Hansen (voc) Released in 2010 the CD "Back in time" and in 2013 "Don't stop the music..". Had a 50th anniversary concert in 2013 with the crew Bonnesen, Olsen, Blinoff, Hansen, Andersen, Palle B. Christensen (piano), where Mader, Kelp and Rock-Nalle also participated. Dissolved in 2015 due to internal problems regarding repertoire, direction and seriousness. Poul Andy and Boris Blinoff form the group X-All Stars with Jesper Olsen (including ex-Blues Syndicate, Roust About and Spacemakers) and Erling Andersen (including ex-Rockfighters, Candy Boys and Jackson's Garden). Spacemakers continues with Bonnesen, Mader, Hansen and Nikolaj Fage Lorentzen (dm) and Palle Christensen (piano).

Search | Add | 6 | Frenchee | Hair / Glam Metal (Heavy Metal) band from Queens, New York (USA). Luke Luv, founder of Frenchee, started the band back in 1983. The 1st singer was Tony Harnell who eventually left Frenchee to join Rock band TNT. Luke wanted a clean slate and start a new chapter of Frenchee, so he started auditioning new band members. First he started with the bass player situation. Two bass players answered the ad together they were friends from Queens NY and wanted to come down to audition together. They were Kelly Nickels & Punky Lazar. Luke decided on Punky, & Kelly went to Los Angeles and Joined a band called Faster Pussycat but got into a bad motorcycle accident which resulted in a bad broken leg and a long stay in the hospital. Faster Pussycat just signed a Record deal and had to replace him, but shortly after that he joined L.A. GUNS and was they're bass player for the 1st 3 records. Luke liked Punky for his Glam Image and solid and melodic bass playing. It turned out to be the right fit. Next thing on Luke's agenda was finding the right charismatic good looking singer frontman. Well Sable Sex answered the ad and Sable didn't get the nickname "SEX" for nothing! Sables motto was "Sables the Name Sex is the game the man get's all the dames and they're never the same!" When Sable arrived to audition he walked down the stairs with a hot chick on each arm and sounded and looked the part. But it was the crazy off the wall personality that won him the job as Frenchee's fearless leader! Wow he found the right frontman that was just as crazy and partied just as hard as him & Punky. 6 Months earlier Sable meet soon to be drummer Niki Shea at a Rock Nightclub called L'AMOURS the rock capitol of Brooklyn. Niki Shea was on tour at the time with a band opening up for Warlock. Sable called Niki and told him he joined a promising Rock band called Frenchee with a Record company interest from Polygram Records and we need a drummer and your the 1st one that came to mind to complete the Ultimate Glam Sleaze Band. Well the east cost tour was just finishing up for Niki. So he came down for the audition. Luke, Punky & Sable all gave the thumbs up and proceeded to celebrate with a dozen bottles of champagne. Marking the beginning of Frenchee's crazy booze & sex filled debauchery! And Frenchee soon became notorious for there drunken backstage sex party's. Even the Groupies Mom's weren't safe! Some on tour stories can't be told! Due to signing a new Record deal with FnA Records in 2013, Frenchee will be releasing remastered recordings and previously unreleased songs. The FRENCHEE Boy's will be getting back together for a reunion tour, and also look out for a brand new Frenchee album of new songs that you can sink your teeth into. Search | Add | 6 | Art Telepaths | George Scarlatos was the bass player and –mainly– the composer of nearly every song by Magic De Spell during the ’80s. During the summer of 2011, when listening to an old cassette of Magic De Spell supporting “The Fall” at their 1982 concert in Sporting stadium, searching for the track “Crime” for Geheimnis Records’ 2nd release (Magic De Spell – Nightmare / 30th anniversary edition), he found 4 songs on the back side, rough recordings with an acoustic guitar. One of them was “Chains Of Love”, which was later included on “Kiss The Mirror” LP. The rest (Drag You Down, Lies, Tue Ma Cervelle) remained forgotten in a drawer. These 3 songs along with one more (not recorded, but always kept alive on George’s mind, titled “Heaven Up There”) were dropped, because they were written during a difficult period for Magic De Spell, their transition from punk to dark electronic/new wave sound. Two of these were composed in March 1982, when the old era was fading away, the other two after two months. But, for different reasons other songs were selected, during the preparation of Magic De Spell’s first full length album “A Body In A Snare”. During the summer and autumn of 2012, George Scarlatos materializing the Art Telepaths project, accomplished a great endeavor: he managed to gather some friends and colleagues from the 80’s new wave era to record these 4 songs, people who worked with Magic De Spell at the band's first steps and others who had shared the same rehearsal studios, dreams and hopes at the time. Thanasis Scarlatos (Magic De Spell / keyboards, synths) and Theodore Vlahakis (Magic De Spell / drums), Yannis Drenoyannis (Magic De Spell, Anti-Troppau Council, Yeah! / guitars), Pan Thistle (Takis) (Partenogenesis, Forward Music Quintet / vocals) and Vassilis Salapatas (Not 2 Without 3 / vocals) and, last but not least, Costas Mastoris (Metro Decay / synths). The sound engineer was the most experienced one with the sound of the '80s, Chris ‘Snake’ Manolitsis.

Search | Add | 6 | Far From Grace | FFG was an American hardcore band with metallic influences and a heavier edge. They were from Pittsfield, Massachusetts and were active roughly between 1997 and 1998 with a brief regrouping in 2000. Beginning under the names Steadfast and Grievance, they settled on Far From Grace and put out their first demo in 1998. The band changed their name to In Spite Of (using the name of Wil and Mike's old metal band from Florida). Though geographically close to the traditional music stronghold of Sliabh Luachra, this brand of music did not rub off on the young musician. Instead, large doses of Rory Gallagher, Thin Lizzy and other pop rock and punk music were administered. Under these influences Brosnan left his native Ireland at the age of 18, guitar in tow and took to the streets, pubs and café bars of various towns and cities throughout Europe where he developed on his musical style by busking and gigging. In 1996 Eugene released his debut CD, "Well he said he'd be here!" to critical acclaim. Songs like Darwin Sound and I Can't Imagine marking him out as a very promising and creative young songwriter. |

Search | Add | 6 | Joan Marie Polo | Joan Marie Polo began in 1994 when two twelve year olds making home movies in Phoenix, AZ concocted a character named Joan Marie Polo. Songs were recorded with one member on tape loops, the other on vocals. Instrumental elements of songs from the 80s and 90s were looped, and vocals were overdubbed. Lyrics were typically not written, but ad-libbed. Joan Marie Polo recorded four tapes between 1994 and 1995. In 2000 a CD was made, The Love & Affection I Used to Have, which compiled a selection of songs from all four tapes (mostly from 1994’s Zig Death). The compilation CD wound up in the hands of Irwin Chusid who played JMP on WFMU. Additional songs were made available through MySpace. In 2005 The Love & Affection I Used to Have was made available as a CD-r and MP3.

Search | Add | 6 | A-Tack | A-Tack is the first Hip-Hop group to come out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It consisted of DJ, emcee, and producer DJ Peechy (later shorted to Peech), DJ Special K, and emcee T.A. Wiz. They released a couple of singles, each getting 200-300 pressings. They recorded a handful songs and performed local shows in the mid-late 80's. They are credited as pioneers who opened the doors for other artists and groups in Milwaukee, such as Kidd Crab, DJ Blade, MIDI, 20/20 Boys, Kali Tribe, Strick Luv, Female DSC, all of them having collaborated with DJ Peechy. T.A. Wiz, a highly respected and influential emcee, was later senselessly murdered in cold blood. Peech traveled to Atlanta, changed his stage name to Speech, and started the multi-platinum, Grammy award winning Hip-Hop collective, Arrested Development, who still actively record and tour to this day. He also has a successful solo career, wrote the book "What Is Success?", and starred in the film 16 Bars. Special K joined Speech and served as Arrested Development's production manager and DJ, and produced some of their songs in the 90's. Special K now goes by DJ Kemit and is a successful producer and touring DJ.
