Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

They first started as a duo with djelert1 and Roman Zaragoza collaborating a more eclectic funky but a bit dark kinda styles of breakbeat/early 90's hardcore break styles. Finding loopholes whenever possible to work in old school hip hop beats and vocal samples, all the while creating their own personalized electronic sound. Unfortunately Roman Zaragoza left the duo in early 2001. However djelert1, aka elertfunk, aka dj elert, will remain as sole survivor of the Funkyard Warriors, with new and also some revised work of some older unreleased material. So keep a lookout for new Funkyard Warriors material to be released later this year and also listen to resident "dj elert" on ustream.tv/channel/redlab-radio on certain friday nights from 7:30pm-1:00am PST. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Nyx Aether | Nyx Aether | At the core of Nyx Aether stands singer and main songwriter Mylene van den Weijer, who came up with the basic foundation for the project in 2010. Mylene had musical aspirations for a long time. Her urge to create something of her own grew into a set of musical and lyrical idea’s that had a distinctive dark energy to them. The concepts explored within the lyrics would touch upon paganism and occultism, but also on human qualities such as the choices we have to make in life and what is needed to become a truly free-spirited human being. For the musical side, Mylene got in touch with Tom de Wit (known for his work with TDW & Mind:Soul) by a happy coincidence. After listening to her ideas, he took up the challenge to translate Mylene’s ideas into a full set of songs. It only took a few months to create the debut-album thanks to the working chemistry between these two protagonists. The debut-album was called Entering Into Rebirth and was released into the world through Layered Reality Productions in the Autumn of 2012. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Patrik L Johansson | Played straight heavy metal drums in the school band Vital Force in Sweden, Iron Maiden covers a.o. same years songs came out and own material, later founder of [a=Sorcery] with other founding members; his 3rd cousin [a=Fredrik Nygren] who united with [a=Ola Malmström], [a=Magnus Karlsson-Mård] and [a=Paul Johansson] in a group then called Acid Queen, and thus [a=Sorcery] was born, heavily inspired by Mercyful Fate, Kreator & Deathrow a.o. (though Sorcery existed in the imagination of Patrik already in 1985 inspired by Celtic Frost a.o.); their second demo would have been named Rivendell as a theme with 3 Dark Angel type of music songs (those written by Patrik like the song Halloween on their first demo), the band however wanted to join the new grindmetal scene, Patrik and Fredrik left the band due to differences in music and all agreed that Sorcery kept their name; so he's not on the album since they changed genres in 1989 though he seems to be on the frontcover... =)>>> (fullbearded man) So later Patrik L Johansson founded Rivendell playing more technometal/fusion drums with highpitch singer [a=Conny Åström], bass player Petter Eriksson from Higher Ground and Peter Sjöberg who later on changed genre to growl vocalbands and became Peter Lake in Theory in Practice...(PL first heard of Mekong Delta from Patrik having all their albums and knowing some of the songs on drums, so they jammed some MD as well as playing Yngwie's instrumental style early on, later PL laid some solos on MD records...but early 90's they strived to be Swedens best techno metal band, at least in rehearsals they were, nowadays that style is heard in Mastodon and Anima Morte songs)...before their record deal they (as a trio: Patrik with Peter & keyboardist/bass player Matthias from TIP) used to have jam sessions with classical influenced music and fusion as Mahavishnu, Confessor a.o. and rehearsals in the Sorcery/Rivendell place with own songs in that genre, much in the same way as Patrik's favorite band Lamb of God started inspired by Confessor early 90's and as LOG later on circa 1999 He shares the same grandancestors in the 5th generation on his mother's side with composer Bo Linde who studied under an old favorite composer Lars-Erik Larsson, and was a friend of Hans Eklund from the same county; and just like Bo Linde he don't follow trends but likes music with a deeper meaning. Another relative he never met was [a=Wolf Johansson], his father's cousin who had the same attitude towards music. He learned drums though from the local big band's drummer [a=Rolf Andersson] at an early age, where Wolf played at times. Jazz have always been a big part of the rockbands he likes, any famous good rock drummer always have listened to jazz. During Wolf's last years they e-mailed about shared ancestry information. He also has named the local Viking society where he lives Fafner, and made english translations for his mother's local history society in the neighbouring village around which he also works with genealogy as an Ancestor Detector. Favorite TV-show (since no more good old american series seems to happen anymore) is Black Adder's sidekick as host in Time Team and the coolest fullbearded (like himself) ZZ Top-style men on TV, though a pescatorian...in Duck Dynasty. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Transparent Curse | Originating from Antwerp. Formed in 1993, originally a trio that had to deal with several lineup changes (with guitarist [a1612928] being the only constant factor). The name Transparent Curse was derived from a fragment of a book by Guy Bogaert (‘Wat kwaad doen de Tovenaars?’ -> a story about an insane asylum). For the group, their musical past is only a “youthful indiscretion” with fun memories and educational experiences. This “youthful indiscretion” produced six demos; ‘Black Pussy’s’ - 1993, ‘At the Murder Party’ - 1995, (ref: Stage music magazine nº 6). ‘Duplicate of Alien reflections’ - 1996, ‘Sample One’ - 1996, ‘And then, there was Panic…’ - 1996 -> 100 copies sold (ref. ‘Dark Entries’ n° 15; “Heimwee allom, een prille The Cure of een sublieme Joy Division is nergens veraf...”), ‘Eine Symphonie des Grauens’ - 1996, a live video and several performances in and around Antwerp. In 1997 the tide turns and Transparent Curse becomes a five-man formation with a fixed lineup; [a1612925] - vocals, [a1612929] - bass, [a1612928] - guitar + vocals, [a1612924] - keys + guitar, [a1612926] - drums + electronic percussion. The sound with which they manage to profile themselves aligns with the Cold Wave and New Wave experiments of the '80s. Names such as [a3898], [a100654], [a71984], [a28972], [a127613] and [a3909] have therefore served as the main sources of inspiration. Gradually they manage to give it their own character and style. In addition to this, the group also gratefully uses English, German, Dutch and French lyrics. Performances follow (and continue to follow thanks to growing interest), several live videos are recorded and in August '98 the group goes into the studio for a CD recording: ‘[r1986295]’! Transparent Curse briefly described: a group that is firmly rooted in the '80s Wave with one leg and is looking for its own identity with the other. Creating your own face within an era where an abundance of electro violence is central and often despises the melancholy of floating melodies and echoing rhythms is not easy… | |
