Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Socially Ill | In March of 2023, after creating an elaborate concept EP the month prior, Brinley Woodall, the musician behind the project, Socially Ill, was hit with an ounce of inspiration after hearing "Just Like Heaven" by The Cure. Within two months, a concept spawned out of seven tracks, guitars, drums, MIDI instruments, and synthesizers swell creating cohesive musicianship. The three songs featured on all streaming platforms are an introduction to this idea. The album's concept explores depths into the human psyche of an obsessed lover; who disassociates from reality; then reality hits with depression knowing her crush will reject her. Inspired by one EP and three albums from bands that were not known by the mainstream (The Influents, Summer Fazed, Ultra Q, and ZigZag Hearts) both hailing from Oakland, California, The Cure’s alluring tales of love, Oasis’s iconic brit-pop tone, nihilistic philosophy, and Edgar Alan Poe's cynical and dreary poetry. Later in the process, Bob Dylan’s acoustic ballads, lyrical, and vocal ability intrigued her, and then Beck’s track “I Think I’m Falling in Love” was a lyrical inspiration as well. The band Neutral Milk Hotel’s 1998 release, In an Airplane Over the Sea, was also a foundation for surreal lyrics and storytelling. Sage of the Fire Dragon The album opens with the track "Sage of the Fire Dragon" as a synthesizer opens following a flood of sound with swelling guitar, and drums. The lyrical content is the narrator being introduced to her crush, questioning if the crush cares about the relationship the two supposedly have. Later, alcoholism and coping mechanisms are addressed, and the person has to deal with day-to-day life with constant anxiety and paranoia. Love Letter of Self-Deprivation An alluring, haunting, and nostalgic reminiscing of the riff, "In Circles" by Sunny Day Real Estate and The Cure opens this ballad epic. The track demonstrates the narrator's obsessed tendencies towards the crush, learning more about his self-destructive coping mechanisms as the song progresses. The track's chorus is "Influents" inspired by the words "some people care what you say, others want to ruin your day, others have no reason, but you crave a love letter of self-deprivation." The song also references Shakespeare's comedy, Midsummer's Dream. Summer Phase Summer Phase is the third single and final single for the album. This track reminisces on the pop punk music from the 1970s to the present day. It has inspiration ranging from power-pop legends: Cheap Trick, Television and alternative artists: Pixies, Sonic Youth, Nirvana, Deftones, Alice In Chains, and Summer Fazed (hence the title). In the story of the album, it is about the lover believing they lost the person they are fascinated with believing they have a chance together. Information about Socially Ill Socially Ill was a solo project formed in Perkinston, Mississippi by Brinley Woodall; during the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to the pandemic's social distancing measures and the artist's socially anxious nature, they started the solo project. Inspired by the 90s grunge rock movement and the past to present Southern California indie and punk scenes, their influences range from bands like Green Day, Nirvana, Metallica, Ultra Q, and Grumpster. Socially Ill's first EP, Mental Prisoners of the Mental Prison was initially released on February 17, 2022. Their second EP, The Chronicles of Problems with Internal Consciousness, was released on Bandcamp on February 12, 2023. Their second EP was released on other streaming platforms on April 24, 2023, through the distribution service, RouteNote. The ZigZag Hearts, The Influents, Summer Fazed, Oasis, Bob Dylan, and The Cure are Socially Ill's current influences. Their debut album, Love Letter of Self-Deprivation, was released on October 10, 2023. "Special thanks to Greg Schneider (of the bands: The Influents, Summer Fazed, & ZigZag Hearts; photographer; cinematographer) for giving me encouragement for making this happen!" -Socially Ill, The Chronicles of Problems with Internal Consciousness; Bandcamp

Search | Add | 3 | Talgevo | Japanese punk band from Saitama. Active from 1982 to July 1988. Formed by high school friends, played the original and The Stalin cover songs in their early days. Early-Mid : Fast-paced punk with Typhus influences musically and lyrically. Later : New wavey punk rock. Generic sound. (Different vocalist) (Review by Brave New World) "Talgevo - Live at Explosion 8'' flexi Explosion Records - RO701 - May 1985 What can i say about this one ? Inessential but a rare find, pretty obscure record. Talgevo played upbeat Japanese punk-rock, which could be compared to a poppier version of The Stalin, for example... This is a live recording taken from the soundboard which does really well to capture the energy of the band, who might have sucked with a cleaner but mediocre studio recording. Here, the sound quality is pretty good, from the recording itself to the vinyl mastering, the work was done by passionate and dedicated professionals . Rock House Explosion was a "live house", a venue for punk, rock and metal bands, and also a record label. According to the catalog numbers, it seems they had produced many many different records during the 80's."

Search | Add | 3 | Schwarz Of Galiorka | Formed weeks after the Gags' breakup, Glezos and Paolo M. start SCHWARZ OF GALIORKA. Somehow influenced by post-psychedelic weirdness (Alice Cooper, Sparks, Arthur Brown) and proto-punk bands (Doctors Of Madness, Punishment Of Luxury), the group is actually a studio project, with Glezos overdubbing all instruments bar the drums, courtesy of Paolo M.: a forced choice, since the recruitment of other members proved beyond any hope. The duo with the strange monicker (a weird, selfmade german-russian combination, which tentatively means 'The People In Black In The Balcony') go through a heavy schedule of demos recorded at Palmito Studios, a 8-track semi-professional studio in S. Giuliano Milanese (Milan). SOG's intention was to release a self-produced mini-album titled 'Horror! Horror! Schwarz Helluva!', which in the duo's intentions would include 6 tracks on a one-sided, 12" lp. In the meantime, Vidocq and Top Hat joined respectively as artwork designer and manager. SOG kept writing and recording, but after a long and heated internal debate the mini-album is cancelled, as the duo embarked in a series of acoustic demos recorded at Radio Popolare in Milan. In October 1983 Kindergarten Records in Florence offers a deal, but after beginning pre-production at the label’s recording facilities the duo declines. In January 1984 SOG released the rare, promo-only 12" Goatsucker/Voilà Hack'n'Slash on their Gates Of Heaven label (200 copies are pressed). After disappointing rehearsals with a number of guitar and keyboard players, SOG break up in spring 1984. In 2010 Hate Records releases ‘Horror! Horror! Schwarz Helluva!’ (vinyl only, 50 copies in blood red pressing), the projected-then-withdrawn 1983 album. 'Tapes Of Mystery And Imagination', a CD released in 1996 by El Passerotto, includes all the studio recordings of the most adventutous Italian post-punk group.

Search | Add | 3 | Trevor Nygaard | Bringing a highly technical performance to the table, Trevor Nygaard utilizes three or more decks alongside ‘live PA’ elements to deliver a fresh, unique take on the art of a DJ. With over 12 years of experience and headlining events across the United States from Hawaii to Connecticut to his hometown of Denver, Trevor has broke in to the international scene with appearances in Guatemala, England and Norway. In the process, he has proven that he understands the universal language of music, and how to speak it. Trevor currently hosts a show on the world’s #1 online electronic music radio station, Digitally Imported. This is just one of his many musical outlets where his audience continues to grow and loyally support him. His music projects his impeccable taste and passion, making it heartfelt and personal for his audience. Further setting him apart is his warm persona and humble attitude that portray Trevor’s pure love for the music and desire to share that with others.

Search | Add | 3 | Forte Ruin | Forte Ruin is a new melodic metal band combining fresh sound atmosphere with dramatic and catchy melodies, while blending them together with the punch of hard rock and the brutality of a death metal. Forte Ruin was originally founded in 2011 under a different name. After couple years of songwriting and countless rehearsals, the band finally formed its current line-up in the spring of 2014. Handful of shows were played with the new line-up in the fall of 2014. During the long and cold winter, there was plenty of time to record the first release "Forte Ruin EP." The record saw daylight in the spring of 2015 and it has gained interest and positive feedback. Members: Arttu Ruusunen - lead vocals Saku Aaltonen - guitars & backing vocals Samu Aaltonen - guitars & backing vocals Arto Viitanen - bass & backing vocals Jere Aaltonen - drums Veli-Matti Kyllönen - keyboards
