Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025

Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Fruit₂o5 Fruit205 (stylized most often as Fruit2o5, Fruit₂o5) is an LA-based hip-hop and electronic duo(?). The group formed in late 2016 on a cold winter day on the way to Stop & Shop, when Fruit₂o5's debut album "Glock Tower 43" (earning outstanding reviews). Later on, in 2017, the duo released an live acid techno-based EP made on an Arturia Beatstep, featuring two parts of one song, and a remix. This EP met great reception. Fruit₂o5 met conflict when both members had different interests and more-or-less splientered. The main producer for Glock Tower 43 felt frustrated after feeling as though the vocalist from was not taking the group's future and music seriously enough (and rather floundering about). The Soundcloud-exclusive single, "Shiizua", was made shortly thereafter, the first track featuring the vocalist from Glock Tower 43 showing off his production skills, and the second creating an ambient soundscape with a replacement guest-vocalist. This was a last cry towards the vocalist to make something like Fruit₂o5 once so merrily did. This single was to no avail, with no attention from critics. After realizing that the vocalist put no effort into their part, the producer decided to release an 8 minute extravaganzic single in secret, titled "Hot Tang Skeleton Xylobhone Marimba Jig Time" (referred to as "hot tang skelebones xylophone show jive (1)" on the Bandcamp release). This single is what many may consider the peak of Fruit₂o5, as it ushered in a new wave of fans, and opened another world of sound. The future of Fruit₂o5 is unclear; Will it remain a duo? Will it branch out beyond electronic and hip hop genres? Will new members join? Although those questions cannot be answered, it can be assured that Fruit₂o5 will continue to release music for times to come. "We are watching you. We are helping you. We are Fruit₂o5."

Search Add 3 InChanto The InChanto's musical experience is therefore inspired by the presence of a particular land; and if the Tuscan musicians propose this journey, they well know that going along these areas means discovering a part of the soul that men little by little have left to things. Once more, there is the attempt of recovering literary and musical traditions from different times and cultures, from the Latin and Mediterranean to the Celtic, that in Tuscany have met during centuries: the one of InChanto would like to be the model journey of people recognizing in his own land the land of everybody. InChanto was born in the summer of 1993 with the intention of proposing a fusion between ancient and electronic sounds and instruments. Afterwards, feeling the need to go back to acoustic and essential resonances, the group introduces historical instruments as the hurdy-gurdy, the baroque flute, the dulcimer and the bodhràn, that have reduced the importance of electronic. In this context, very important are the recent lyrics in fifth and sixth century Italian, in Latin and French.

Search Add 3 Arcane Saints Arcane Saints "Arcane Saints are one of the most exciting new rock bands to come out of Australia since Silverchair, Electric Mary, Midnight Oil, and INXS. Their latest EP, “In the Shade of The Juniper” continues the Aussie legacy of musically diverse, hard hitting rock and roll." - Brian McKinny, Senior Editor at Music Insider Magazine (USA) Arcane Saints is an Australian hard rock band formed by singer/guitarist Michael John. Born in the United Kingdom, Michael grew up in New Zealand before moving to Melbourne, Australia in search of a bigger rock music scene. After some line up changes Michael “Sheep” Gooding, who had recently relocated to Melbourne from the outback town of Darwin, joined the band as lead guitarist. Den Murray was then recruited on drums. Like Michael and Sheep, Den had also only recently moved to Melbourne, having moved from Sydney. Bassist Rory Wale, who is the only local Melbourne member, then completed the line up. Arcane Saints set out on a relentless touring schedule of Australia, Canada, China and New Zealand, releasing a single which gained the attention of Grammy Award winning producer Toby Wright (Metallica, Alice in Chains, Kiss, Korn.) Toby invited them to his home town of Nashville, USA to record their debut album Turning the Tide. Toby was a close friend of Layne Staley, late singer of Alice in Chains and delighted Michael by allowing him to use the custom made microphone Layne had used for the chart topping Alice in Chains EP “Jar of Flies.” Peter Keys, pianist from the legendary Lynyrd Skynyrd, made a guest appearance on the album. The momentum continued with Arcane Saints receiving rave reviews for their performance at Australia’s prestigious Big Day Out Festival, headlined by Pearl Jam. Following a highly successful USA radio campaign, they were invited to join multi platinum selling rockers Trapt for a five week USA tour. The tour, which included a spot at Gig It Festival, headlined by Sevendust, was a massive success resulting in thousands of new fans for Arcane Saints. Whilst touring Arcane Saints noticed the audiences really connected with their new songs and decided to hit the studio again. With highly regarded Aussie producer Scott Horscroft (Silverchair, Birds of Tokyo) at the helm, they recorded a new EP entitled "In the Shade of the Juniper". "In the Shade of the Juniper" boasts some of the heaviest songs the band has recorded as well as some more pop rock tracks. Arcane Saints consider it to be their best work to date. Michael John - Vocals/Guitar Michael "Sheep" Gooding - Lead Guitar Tim White - Drums Mike Lyon - Bass

Search Add 3 Dead Commuter Formed in the Fall of 2005 , Dead Commuter started out with Paul Maggard On Guitar/Vocals, Rafael Garcia On Drums, and Margaret Follmer on Bass. Culling from a number of influences, The band's first efforts sounded like a variety of different genres, at one moment melodic as Latter-era Neurosis , the next being steeped in Powerviolence. Later down the road, Margaret left, with Khaine temporarily replacing her. By the end of '06 Dead Commuter had decided to end the search for a bassist and remain a duo for good. The band has come a long way since that first show opening for The Esoteric, becoming what each half of this duo has aspired: Loud, Bludgeoning Sludge. In June of 2011, after a long road of hard work and hard touring, Dead Commuter decided to end its 6 year run.

Not restricted to just one scene, they both show a very diverse taste in music which is clearly reflected in the bands and styles they name as influences (Depeche Mode, Talk Talk, Front242…). As Dirty Jackers, Frank and Glenn take these influences to another level, creating a fresh sounding live act (live musicians) with great melodies and vocal performances. Their debut release "Sneaky Boomerang" on Magura Records was charted by big time players like Dave Clarke and featured on national radio Studio Brussel. The follow up single and album (both titled "Stop The Madness" promise to take things even further. To promote the album Dirty Jackers will take their unique show to the road, serving a never before seen act with special lighting, FX and visuals by "The 5th Dimension".
