Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 10 | Rye Town's Creatures | Rye Town's Creatures (sometimes referred to as Rye Town Coven and abbreviated to RTC) are a gothic rap, rap metal and horrorcore group originally from UK, England and consisted primarily of Memorex and Wes Cooper (though usually under their alter-ego's Ajax and Wayne InSane), but has since changed line-up several times, and is no longer a strictly an English only group. The band was formed on the 06/06/06 and that fact was often used in their albums marketing. They released several EP's and a few LP's in their time being active, and went through many changes when one of their later band members who joined in 2008, SirT, died from suicide in 2010. They released their final album in 2012, "Return To Rye", which was like a six year anniversary album and featured re-imaginings of their most classic tracks. It was around this time that Taurean J joined the group but no recording was ever completed. Since then, the RTC have been on and off active up until 2016 when they tried to reform with a new lineup of Memorex, HatchetHead, Taurean J and Juztin Sane, but it fell through. In late 2022, they reformed. Currently consisting of Memorex and Taurean J they released the first new RTC single in 10 years on the 17th October 2022 "Water Tower High" and will be releasing a new album "Banquet Of Witches" (TBC).

Search | Add | 10 | George Wydell | George Jones Jr. | George Jones (born Oct. 5, 1936, in Richmond, Va., died Sept 27, 2008) moved to the Youngstown area as a child, where his father got work in a steel mill, and spent most of his life in the area. He attended Campbell Memorial High School. After high school, Jones joined the U.S. Air Force, where he sang in a vocal group with other servicemen. He was in the Air Force when he wrote “Rama Lama.” George "Wydell" Jones had been the lead singer for the Edsels. In 1965, after the Edsels disbanded, he started on a short, at least recording wise, career as a solo singer. Since there was already the country George Jones, he went by the name of George Wydell. Jones also managed several gospel music groups in later years, including The Jones Gospel Singers, which was comprised of his family members. |

Search | Add | 10 | Luis Manresa | Luis Orlando Manresa García | Cuban musician, born 15 February 1965 in Santa Clara, Cuba. He spent all his childhood and adolescence in Ranchuelo (Cuba) before he moves to France in 1991. In 1977 he began his study of the guitar. A year later, he took his first steps at the World Festival of Youth and Students in Havana. Thereafter he continued to discover and perfect this instrument in parallel with the electric bass, which became his main instrument from 1983, the year he acquired the status of music professional. In 1990 he recorded with [a=Omar Sosa] and [a=Xiomara Laugart] in the album "Fe" (which included the song "Qué Manera De Quererte"), [a=Emiliano Salvador] (notable Cuban pianist affirmed in considerable jazz festivals in America and Europe), [a=Arturo Sandoval] (worldwide famous trumpet player), Afrocuba (a formation made up of eight musicians accompanying Silvio Rodríguez, popular international poet of committed song), as well as many others. In France since 1991, starting by winning the Django Reinart competition with the group "Electrogene" that same year, he has worked with recognized groups and artists such as the Cuban pianist [a=Alfredo Rodriguez]. He notably played in national and international tours with [a=Cheb Mami] in 1996 and with [a=Dany Brillant] in 1997. In 1998, he participated as bassist and backing vocalist for the song "Désillusionniste" from the album "L'Un Pour L'Autre" by [a=Maurane]. He was also a member of the Latin dance trio "Cubaïla" (which released one of the 1998 summer hits "La Charanga"), a group for which he also composed two tracks. In this capacity, he participated in the composition of a song for TF1 Jeunesse: "Le Groove de Lola" from the album "L'Albom Waka", and he produced film music for the 2003 feature film "Más Vampiros En La Habana". He has also worked in collaborations (with rapper [a=Mangu], Tony Parker, Matt Houston, among others) in the movements of hip-hop, rap, urban music, salsa, R&B... and many more other compositions that he produces in his studio in Aubervilliers on measure. |

Search | Add | 10 | Tex Roe | John Frederick Robarge, Sr. | ...inducted into the New York State Country Music Hall of Fame on May 24th,1981. That day was declared "Tex Roe Day." In 1951, he shared the Syracuse War Memorial Building stage with Hank Williams, Sr. He has performed and was close friends with [a556260], (whose show he also toured with), the composer of "Tennessee Waltz". He was officially considered to be a pioneer of country music. His name appears as one of the country music artists in the 1969 WWVA Jamboree Tribute Book to Hall of Famers and other special country music legends. He performed regularly with his own show (The Star Maker Show) on the Ernest Tubb Jamboree Radio Show. He was for over twenty years, a disc jockey with his own morning show on WKRT in Cortland, NY. He had four songs on the national charts. His music was distributed and played nationally. He shared the stage with Loretta Lynn, Eddie Arnold, Roy Drusky, Tex Ritter, Wanda Jackson, Sons of the Pioneers (with whom he and my mother did shows with in Florida and elsewhere), Ferlin Husky, Roy Clark, many others. In Cortland, NY, there is a museum that holds many of Tex's musical pieces and special items. He also had his own television show... His recording of "What Love Have I" reached #11 on the charts. Songs do not reach at those numbers without fans purchasing them from more than just the local town the artist came from. Tex Roe's accomplishments with his musical career are many, as are the accolade's from far outside his local residency. These words are from his family, friends and fans from across the world. The great and legendary late [a246644] produced the album, "Fire Shootin' Pony" for Tex on Mark IV Records around 1970 at his studio in Accokeek, MD. The following appears in the bio of that album: "A versatile writer, composer and master of ceremonies, Tex has already had one record in the Top 10 and several on the Most Popular lists. He is best remembered for "Rocketship To The Moon", "John The Baptist" and "Treasure Chest Of Love." All were original compositions, "John The Baptist" being written by Tex's good friend and partner, [a=John Tobin (4)]. |

Annuimmo. E non osammo più parlare innanzi.

Search | Add | 10 | Out of the Void | Out of the Void | A Canadian heavy metal band formed in Chatham, Ontario, March 2017 by guitar players Gord Dillon and Joe Babcock. The band’s sound has been described as a combination of some of the early metal genres (i.e. NWOBHM, Doom Metal, Thrash Metal) combined with an early 90's flavour (i.e. Epic Metal, Power Metal). Out of the Void (OOTV) are heavily influenced by the late 70’s and early 80’s metal scenes with a tinge of early to mid 80’s thrash thrown in for good measure. The concept for OOTV has existed for close to 30 years in one form or another. Early on names for the band morphed from “Titan” to “Even Flow” to “Tip of the Spear” until “Out of the Void” seemed to take hold. Screaming Earth Studios is the private recording studio for the band, located in Chatham Ontario, and was used exclusively to record the songs for all the band’s release. The Earth Screams was release in April 2018 and consists of eight songs themed around Good vs. Evil, Politics, History, World War, Depression, Horror and Fantasy. The band was excited to have “The Earth Screams” professionally mastered at Metal Works Studio in Toronto in early January of 2018. OOTV quickly followed up with their 2nd release "Evil Unleashed" one year later in May 2019. Evil Unleashed is another eight song release that touches on the themes of Good Vs. Evil, Gun Violence, Addiction, World War and Cultish Leaders. As Covid-19 descended upon us it slowed the release of "Sad Shadows In Flames", the bands 3rd studio album. The album barely made it as a 2020 release squeaking out on the last day of the year after 8 months of delays. Sad Shadows In Flames consists of 9 songs focussed mainly on Beating the odds, Fiction, Good vs. Evil, Self Reflection and Vampirism. The band's discography currently consists of three studio albums. Many of the songs have been written over the past 30 years by main song writer Gord Dillon. Gord took on lead vocals for the band which was not the original plan but these two guitarists lacked someone to put a voice to the music. Joe Babcock convinced Gord to just give it a try and see what happens and the rest is history. Gord would describe his vocal style as simply “…just getting it done”. Joe perfects and mixes all of the music you hear which is a combination of him noodling or Gord conveying a hook or riff that goes with the lyrics. Both musicians have their main parts in the band and collaborate extremely well to challenge each other both lyrically and musically to refine each song. Also, showing up from the Void, every once in a while, are two mysterious characters, D.E. Athearly (Drums) and Blitz Krieg (Bass). It is said they are from the ether but D.E. seems to have some type of control over Blitz. When you see one the other is not far behind. Both character fill in on bass and drums through a series of talented friends of the band. Joe assumed lead/rhythm guitars, bass and drums on both releases. Gord took on vocals and plays rhythm guitars. Also credited on the first release is Bobby Pilutti, a friend of the band who consulted on the drum parts to help anchor the rhythm section. D.E and Blitz keep their distance until they hear the call and spring into live action. They seem to shy away from the studio and are drawn to larger crowds of people. Currently, Out of the Void is working in studio on their 4th release, set for December 2022. |

After graduating from Geneva University in Political Sciences and obtaining a Master degree in Media and Communication, Tuân chose a totally different path and became a professional illustrator. He is the first visual artist to integrate manga culture in rap music by collaborating with many world-renowned rappers in Japan and USA. Tuân now works for a video game company as well as an animation studio, and continues to be involved in several (music) projects in the USA and Japan. Search | Add | 10 | T. O. Ampomah | Thomas Osei Ampoumah | Thomas Osei "Jazz" Ampoumah, Dr. T.O. Jazz or "T.O." Ampomah, a Ghanaian Music Legend in traditional Highlife and Palmwine Music. T.O. Ampoumah comes from the town of Obomeng in the mountainous Akan Kwahu region between Accra and Kumasi. Born in 1932 he started learning guitar when he was fifteen years old in the town of Nkawkaw. T.O began playing in public with friends in 1950 when he was just eighteen years old. He formed his Ampoumah’s guitar band Mpraeso in 1952 with Kwabena Amoah (vocals), Kwaku Gyima (second guitar) and Edmond Kye (congas). T.O. made his his first recordings with a Ghana Broadcasting mobile van unit in 1954 and then with the UAC (United Africa Company) that had a small recording studio in Accra. In those days he was paid eight pounds per recording (i.e. two songs) In 1957/58 his guitar band was on tour in Burkina Faso (then called Upper Volta) where he met the Congolese band the Bantus Africana – who invited T.O. and his three musicians to Zaire where they played highlife numbers for the Bantus who were fascinated by this music but could not play it. The Bantus in turn taught the Ghanaians to play local lingala rumbas, chachacha’s, meringues, pachanga and boleros T.O. also met Franco the leader of Zaire’s top band O.K. and so changed the name of his Ampoumah’s guitar band to ‘T.O. Jazz’. When T.O. Jazz returned to Ghana in 1961 they introduced the chachacha to the country. Back in Ghana he set the newly named T.O. Jazz band that specialized in highlifes and Akan renditions of the rumba. It was with this band that T.O. recorded in 1968 the hit song ‘Aware Bone Asu Manim Ase’ (Bad Marriage Has Disgraced Me) that was released as a 45 RPM on the Phillips label. For this T.O. (together with Victor Uwaifo of Nigeria) was awarded in 1970 the first Phillips West African Golden Discs – and went to record a total of 127 songs. So by the mid 70’s T.O. Jazz was a household name in Ghana. In 1996 T.O. began teaching ‘palmwine highlife’ at the Music Department of the University of Ghana, where he also played and sang with John Collins' Local Dimension Band. T.O died after a short illness in 2001. |

Search | Add | 10 | Irene Coelho | The singer and radio host Irene Coelho was one of the greatest exponents of popular Portuguese music in Brazil. Although Brazil, throughout his life, he devoted himself entirely the spread of Portuguese culture. Literally, Irene changed the samba fado. Born in the city of Rio Claro to July 4, 1921, the artist was baptized as Irene Aparecida Raymondo. His father was Calabrian and his mother was Rio Clarense, Portuguese daughter of Leiria, a city of the province of Beira Alta. So I ran in the veins of the Italian artist and blood Lusitanian. Upon completing 12 years in 1933, he was living with his family in the railway village in Alto da Serra (current Paranapiacaba). To the amusement of the locals had the Club Lira Serrana where Irene had his first contact with fado - and was in love with this musical rhythm! When he was 15 years asked for the consent of the mother and stepfather to study singing and Portuguese guitar with Professor Alfredo Bastos, a renowned guitarist established in the city of Santos, São Paulo coast. Bastos ran a program in the Atlantic Radio entitled "Saudades de Portugal", broadcast weekly on Thursdays. It was here that Irene premiered at Radio. It was advertised as Irene Raymondo and always heard the following comment: "Raymondo is no last name for a singer." But soon arrumaria a new last name ... Around 1939 Irene began to study singing with Professor Joaquim Gallas, in São Paulo. He met Manoel dos Santos Coelho, a Portuguese "good looking", marketer and also a student of Gallas. The fact is that the two fell in love and eventually married in July 1940. After nine months of marriage, Coelho presented his wife with a radio program. They christened it with the name of "Portuguese Melodies". Premiered on Sunday, 13.4.1941 by the waves of Radio Cosmos. Irene always referred to the program as her "first child". At a time when women were repressed - most husbands did not like to see their wives become artists - the case of Irene was the opposite: Manuel was the biggest supporter of his wife, he contributed as can for her to become a "star" . In 1942 the couple Rabbit decided to try his luck in Rio de Janeiro - cultural and artistic hub of Brazil. The interpreter's intention was to make a record. It reached its end after three years, when she was hired by Continental label, on his first album 78s are set the fates: "Eternal Love" (Antonio Ferreira / Américo Morais) and "Your Guitar" (Belmiro A. Veiga). The monitoring was in charge of the guitars of Antonio Ferreira and Fernando de Freitas. Throughout the period that remained in the "Marvelous City" received the support of the singer Manuel Monteiro. In 1943, Irene received from Monteiro and Joaquim Pimentel slogan that accompany life, "Little Princess of the Portuguese Song". Back banner capital, Irene and her husband continued the "Portuguese Melodies" program, which throughout its history has gone through several radio stations. However, not only music lived the couple Rabbit: one occasion Manoel Monteiro advised his friends and colleagues to open a typical Portuguese restaurant, with music on weekends. The idea was to set up a fine place for frequency families of Portuguese-São Paulo community could spend a weekly average. Manoel Coelho has had experience in the business, always worked as a trader in the food industry. In 1953, it was inaugurated it "Marialva" Rua Luis Goes, 994 in Vila Mariana. Inside was a unique site dedicated to fado: the "Retreat Marialvas". Business followed the wind in saves and Rabbit couple toasted the anniversary of the IV Centenary of São Paulo with a new typical restaurant: the "Solar da Alegria" in 1954, located at Rua da Consolação, 394. They acted feedback artists and the very Irene Coelho (headlining). When "Portuguese Melodies" completed its silver jubilee in April / 1966 Irene and Manuel decided to treat yourself to a walking trip to Portugal. Her because Bilge strong desire to see the country that he loved so much and to review their relatives. Between the months April to June / 1966 traveled from end to end Portugal. In Lisbon, the two attended all fadista city environment. Irene sang, as a special guest in some fado houses. He recalled with nostalgia the great night out beside the diva Amalia Rodrigues. During his career he was the target of many honors. The singer recorded several albums 78s and LPs. Their biggest hits were "Nª. Sra. Fatima "; "Chinelinhas"; "Neighborhoods in Lisbon"; "Miraculous Izildinha"; "Cachopa do Minho"; "Seven skirts" and "Bailinho sprouts." In the early 2000s, the artist was quite ill. The son of aid Irenaeus Coelho (who gave her seven grandchildren and is a professional musician), touched his "Portuguese Melodies" by December 2007. The program was retained for more than six decades in the air. That is, even in the early years of his career with talent and courage, Irene took upon himself the role of disseminator of popular music, responsibility he held until his death at age 86 on June 7, 2008.
