Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 10 | Tozan Nakao I | (October 5, 1876 - ✝1956) His work was honored in three highly acclaimed series: [l1673152], [l2453518] and [l2118445]. Which were compiled by his pupils [a8220923] and [a10183072] Nakao Tozan was born on October 5, 1876 (the 9th year of the Meiji-Era) in Suita-Gun (present-day Hirakata City), the second son of Nakao Jirohei and his wife Mitsu. His real name was Nakao Rinzo. In 1894, at the age of 17, he became a komuso, and then, two years later in 1896, he first established a shakuhachi school in Tenma, Osaka City, in the West of Japan. This date, February 15, is now celebrated as the official founding of the Tozan-Ryu School. Nakao Tozan then embarked on a career as a performer, and in 1903 composed the first Tozan-Ryu honkyoku, Sōgetsu-chō, and in 1908 wrote and published his first shakuhachi tutor and sheet music. Compared to the older schools of shakuhachi, the Tozan style of composition must have sounded much more modern, and even in his honkyoku he often included very rhythmical two-, or sometimes three-part sections following the opening solo section, sometimes with the whole piece being written for two or more flutes right from the beginning. In 1915, at the age of 38, he toured Russia, and in the following year also gave the first of his performances in Korea and China, eventually returning to give concerts there at least ten times. In 1922, the Headquarters of the school were transferred to Tokyo. After this, Nakao Tozan met the famous blind koto master Miyagi Michio, and they toured Western Japan together, which led to the establishment of the Shin Nihon Ongaku movement (“New Japanese Music”). Together they made many revolutionary changes to Japanese traditional music. In 1930, when he was 53, Nakao Tozan ceased performing to concentrate on teaching and composition, and to nurture the next generation of Tozan performers. After the Second World War, he returned to his hometown (now renamed Hirakata), and then, in 1949, moved to Kyoto. In 1953, he was honored with the Japan Arts Academy Award for his great contributions to Japanese music, and he died in 1956 at the age of 80. | |

| Search | Add | 10 | Barbara Akabla | Ivory Coast singer. Barbara Akabla has been active in music since the 80s. Very early on, she recorded a first album, "Séhizou", produced by Paul Nemlin, who signed a few albums in his name, and who later participated in the group Pan-African a-capella NIPA (1996). Barbara was still in high school when [a=Paul Nemlin] offered to make an album with him. In the years that followed, Barbara continued to perfect her singing skills in Abidjan and began to sing locally in bars and cabarets. Towards the end of the 90s, she moved to Paris where she continued to sing in bars. Apart from that, she appeared in the first part at the Zénith with [a=Papa Wemba] and with [a=Koffi Olomide] in 1999. She recorded her second album "Tu think que ça", released in 1999. The album was well received by the artists. music lovers but commercial success was penalized by a lack of promotion. In 2006, Barbara Akabla made her comeback in stores with an album which bears the funny title "Boom Boom Bam". The album was produced by Frenchman François Cousin. The style displayed in this album is called Afro World, which is actually a mix of RnB and zouk with local Ivoirian rhythms. | |

| Search | Add | 10 | Litia~Loe | Litia~Loe: Life In The Insane Asylum = Life On Earth LITIA=LOE (Life In The Insane Asylum = Life On Earth) formed in Chicago amidst the burgeoning house movement of the 80’s. Leon Williams, Daryl Wilson, and brothers Grant and Simeon Rogers would meet up every weekend to soak up the sounds at local clubs like Music Box, Medusa, The PowerPlant, The Warehouse, and Frankie Knuckles’ Dance Palace, where DJs would mix everything from disco to new wave, industrial to house music. After the clubs closed, they would retreat to Leon’s basement to experiment with synths, inspired by what they had just witnessed at the clubs. Wired with excitement, they would stay up all-night, jamming and sequencing beats together late into the next afternoon. Simeon was the technician of the group, programming drums, layering sounds, and finding the right synth textures. Leon was the creative wild card, coming up with conscious lyrics and vocal melodies and tweaking the sounds to be more expansive. Grant kept things anchored in song, composing and coming up with structures. Daryl helped compose a lot of the unreleased songs and was a great arranger and bass player, but decided to leave the band for personal reasons. With a Tascam 8-track Portastudio, the group would cut rough tape mixes of their tunes to share with friends who would DJ the demos around town. Influenced by groups like Nitzer Ebb, Bauhaus and Chris & Cosey, they came up with a track heavy with distortion and feedback. A tape of that track started circulating around the clubs, and legend has it that Lil Louis liked it so much he claimed it as his own. Realizing that competition was fierce in the DJ world, they decided to cut a record next time so they could lay claim to their work. This led to the release of Each Dawn Every Dawn, released on their own Facade label in 1989. The group distributed the record themselves, handing them out at clubs, and dropping them off at local shops and record pools. At the time, the record barely made it out of Chicago, but the group did have a few chances at notoriety. Once with Rocky Jones of D.J. International Records who offered a “Blood contract” for joining the label. The group declined. In the mid 90’s they had an opportunity to open three nights with Living Colour, but the night before, one of the keyboardists got stage fright and they had to bail on the gigs. | |

| Search | Add | 10 | Kamuflars | Kamuflars is a beatmaker and producer from Bergen, Norway - and a resident artist for the club nights and music label 'Jungelen'. He enjoys experimenting with electronic sounds, moving towards uptempo tracks made for the dancefloor, combining genres like House and Broken Beat. Even though, one should not categorize his music, being that it’s more about exposing an unpolished and raw vibe! Making the bridge between samples and self produced loops and soundscapes, 'the Kamu' has quite fast come up with his own distinct and playful sound. As he likes to call it: "Nordnes Funk". Together with long-time partner in crime, Jungelen-boss Simon Alejandro, they’ve released several projects on their label during the last seven years – both digitally and on limited runs of vinyl. Presenting to you Kamuflars! | |

| Search | Add | 10 | Alexey Luka | Алексей Лучко (Alexey Luchko) | Alexey Luka was born in 1983 in Moscow, where he currently lives and works. Among the most talented and influential young artists in the Russian contemporary art scene. With a background in architecture studies, the Russian artist developed a unique and recognizable style, based on the use of abstract geometric shapes and chromatic variations. Perfectly comfortable with different techniques, spray paints, acrylic paints, sculpture, and collage, Alexey Luka creates complex compositions in which the colors and geometric lines interact, resulting in a sort of puzzle to decipher. The observer is left, therefor, to reconstruct and consequently interpret the image, starting precisely with the colors that suggest shapes: faces, characters and landscapes alternate in a game of perception that activates our imagination. Through the composition and decomposition of the shapes and the chromatic combinations, with references to Constructivism and Neo-plasticism, the artist aims to tell a story, to evoke a situation or a vision, in an entirely unusual and original way. |

| Search | Add | 10 | The Great Gavioli Organ | Not to be confused with 🇳🇱 "De Grote"/"The Great" 89-key Gavioli (ca.1890) in the Netherlands, or ex-"White Bros." 🇬🇧 [a=Mammoth Gavioli Fair Organ] (1903) in South Wales. The "Great Gavioli Organ," GV21 (built in 1902 as 112-keyless, conv. post-1920s to 89-key), also known as Silcock's Gavioli (or "ex-Woolls Bros/Arthur Mills"), is a mechanical organ by the renowned French manufacturer Gavioli et Cie — one of nine "giant" models supplied by the firm to England in the early 20th century; this specific organ was initially ordered by James Crichton for his "Bioscope" traveling cinematography shows. Alongside the White Brothers' [a=Mammoth Gavioli Fair Organ], GV26, it's the last surviving 112-keyless Gavioli (albeit, in a converted state). The instrument was pneumatically driven, with a 3½ hp motor feeding compressed air through the valves to the pipes, controlled by an 89-key keyboard that reproduced the sequence of notes from a wide perforated cardboard roll. At the dawn of the 20th century, these "gigantic" mechanical organs were in high demand among British showmen and fairground proprietors — convenient and practical "all-in-one" machines that covered all musical needs of a traveling show or street fair while serving as an eye-catching façade. After 1901, once the groundbreaking "Electric Bioscope Cinematograph Moving Picture Show" came to Great Britain from continental Europe, the competition became enormous, as leading entrepreneurs strived to engage the audience with the largest, brightest, and loudest-possible presentation of this licensed "moving images" spectacle. James Crichton's Bioscope No. 1 (1902/03) and Bioscope No. 2 (1908) shows, which both proudly paraded his lavishly decorated Gavioli, were on the road around the same time as Sydney White's "Coliseum Bioscope" in South Wales, John A. Proctor with his "Royal Bioscope" in Nottinghamshire, and William Haggar's "Electric Coliseum," to name just a few. At the time, Gavioli & Co., officially Société Des Anciens Établissements Gavioli, was the world's leading fairground organ manufacturer. With local branches in London and Manchester, the French company happily fulfilled dozens of orders for their massive, "cutting-edge" 110-key and 112-keyless mechanical organs. The heyday of "mammoth" Gaviolis in the UK, however, was relatively brief. Within a decade, traveling cinema spectacles became obsolete with the propagation of permanent movie theaters; meanwhile, phonographs and other compact auto-reproduction devices arrived on the market as the next-generation technology, far superior to expensive, complicated, and massive mechanical organs. (Chrichton's "Great" Gavioli, for instance, stood at about 5.4×3 meters and weighed a whopping 4 tons, requiring a skilled full-time technician to keep it operational.) Thus, by the early 1920s, most owners repurposed their Gavioli organs — typically as a centerpiece for steam-powered "roundabouts," carousels, and gallopers, as well as "scenic railways" popular at the time; often, the instruments were reduced and converted to a more compact 98-key or 89-key function. Sometime after 1912, James Chrichton sold his "Great Gavioli" to Harry Hall (d. 1954), proprietor of roundabouts and joyrides in the East Midlands, who used it on a scenic railway operated by one of his companies, Hall & Proctor (in partnership with John Albert Proctor from "Proctor Funfairs"). Eventually, Hall sold the organ to John Studt, who operated it on a switchback ride, and later to P. Phillips. In 1935, the organ's new owner, Steven Hadfield, decided only to use the Gavioli's decorated façade, passing the actual instrument to Woolls Brothers, a prolific firm active in Hastings, East Sussex since at least the early 1930s, which installed it on the ex-Hall & Proctor switchback. According to "A Century of Tobers" (Vol 1, No. 2, January 1978) newsletter from the Fairground Association of Great Britain (FAGB), the organ was refurbished and downsized to a 110-key scale. (However, it contradicts the majority of other sources, which uniformly claim that this specific Great Gavioli was converted to 89-key.) Reportedly, the ride was taken out of service by 1937, and the organ was put in storage. Around 1958, Arthur Frederick Mills (1914—1991) from Rushden, Northamptonshire, acquired the 89-key organ for preservation. A reputable local entrepreneur and civil servant, Mills owned the successful "Express Dry Cleaning Works" company. He was, however, better known among enthusiasts as a distinguished collector of antique steam engines and other relevant fairground equipment; in the early 1960s, he co-founded the Fair Organ Preservation Society. Mills entrusted the Gavioli's refurbishing and subsequent ongoing maintenance to renowned organ builder, Victor Henry Chiappa (1900—1993) of Chiappa Ltd. in London. A series of critically acclaimed LP records were made on the Great Gavioli, such as [r=13818874] (1961) on [l=City Of London], [m=617358] (1970) on [l=Marble Arch], and [r=16864596] (1972) on [l=Alshire]. According to the FAGB's "Century of Tobers" article, the Great Gavioli organ was authentically restored circa 1978 by one of the Show Organ Society members, George Flynn (d. 1981) of Durham County. Subsequently, it was purchased by the Silcock family. | |

| Search | Add | 10 | LOUCIF | Kabyle Algerian singer originally from Iflissen, Tizi-ouzou (Algeria) and based in France. BIOGRAPHY: Originally from the village Taguercift, commune of Iflissen, in maritime Kabylia, but residing for several years in France, Loucif forged a style of music that he commonly “baptized” the RAF Kabyle. “Rhythm, love and the strength that I feel in Kabylia”, the artist will say to explain the content and origin of this name which, he says, embodies the perceptible values of the country. Furthermore, to return to his last album which already dates from 2006 and entitled "Dda Sliman" in homage to Slimane AZEM, it was released in 2006 in Algeria by Adjlout editions. It is made up of eight songs performed in a captivating way that will even captivate fans of rhythmic songs who will have the opportunity to gorge themselves on this summer hit by the artist. The latter sings, in fact, thizyiwinim, argaz, sars iwalnim, a tiyita, a chikh, da slimane, melthiyi amek ara zewdjegh, and sarhiyi ad ruhagh. It is nevertheless not in vain to note that the singer Loucif embraced his artistic career in 1983 where he began to hum his first melodies before throwing himself into production some time later and signed during the same period, c that is to say during the decade 1980 to 1990, cassettes very coveted at that time in Kabylia in particular. It is, in short, a thrilling work which left its mark on a substantial journey to the extent that the artist was able to get in tune with the rhythmic song of the time of Hamidouche, Fahem and Rabah Asma. The path was really winding but in no way dissuaded Loucif from putting the key under the doormat. On the contrary, he threw himself body and soul into the arena to assert himself in a relatively short time. However, since the beginning of the past decade, it has not put any new cassettes on the market. But it's only a postponement. And for good reason, this nightingale from maritime Kabylia has decided to get back to work and take up his pilgrim's staff with, he says, galas and other shows to reconnect with his audience. Since the release of his last album "Dda Sliman" which dates from 2006, he left us to think that it was a harbinger signifying the ardent desire of the artist to reconquer the scene again... Since then it has been radio silence, unfortunately for us his fans. | |

Hellcity Punks is a fine combination of poplike melodies, thunderous and intensive riffs, punky attitude and wretched stories about life. In the beginning of 2007, little more than a year after his former band had split-up, Janze ran across Hooligan and Dennis while wandering the nightly streets of Helsinki. They soon noticed that they had very similar visions and goals and shared the passion for shameless rock n’ roll. The triple joined forces and soon after that they heard rumours of this motorcycle driving maniac called Johnny and decided to recruit him into the band. Hellcity Punks were born. | |
