Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 10 | Professor Moses Hadas | Although he was known as a quiet, even shy man, Moses Hadas made his presence felt at the College as a prolific scholar and as one of the College's truly great teachers. A classicist by training, he began teaching as an instructor in the General Honors course in 1925, and except for brief service in the Office of Strategic Services during World War II, he stayed at Columbia for the rest of his career, remaining one of the College's most sought-after teachers until his death in 1966. Born in Atlanta, Hadas received his bachelor's degree from Emory University in 1922, and came to Columbia to do advanced work in Greek and Latin literature. Even as his own academic accomplishments mounted, Hadas continued to embrace undergraduate education. After teaching General Honors, he taught the Colloquium on Important Books; he was one of the original teachers of Humanities A and continued to teach it for years. It was said of Hadas that he "always had enough time to discuss anything of humane interest with the demanding young." Early on Hadas won recognition as a gifted scholar, not only of Greek and Latin, but also of Hebrew and Arabic. A colleague once remarked that Hadas knew most classical authors "as if he had just met them at a faculty meeting." Among his distinguished books on classical culture were A History of Greek Literature (1950) and Humanism: The Greek Ideal and Its Survival (1960); he translated Greek, Latin, and Hebrew texts; and he edited many other volumes.

Search | Add | 10 | Borg Linz | borg SOUNDS Composing your own songs is an essential part of training at Pop BORG Linz. The foundation stone for this is laid during a project week at the beginning of the 6th grade - supervised by Gottfried Angerer and Günther Böcksteiner. During the 6th and 7th grade, pieces are written for 2 shows in the Posthof Linz. The 7th grade songs will be recorded on CD in a final project week. Ensemble and recording management: Wolfger Buchberger and Georg Wild. Mix/Mastering: Wolfger Buchberger "Music is the common language of humanity." Henry Wadsworth Longfellow For musically gifted students, an in-depth examination of all areas of serious and popular music on an auditory, analytical and practical level is made possible. Piano, guitar, electric guitar, drums, saxophone, vocal lessons (voice training) and violin are currently offered in instrumental lessons and are taught in small groups (3 to 5 students). This enables largely individual support for the student. The compulsory elective subjects music education and instrumental lessons offer the opportunity to deal with individual focuses theoretically and practically with smaller groups. In the 6th and 7th grade, the choir or instrumental ensemble is compulsory. This ensures a further deepening of the practical skills learned in music or instrumental lessons and enables the students to make targeted, cross-class music-making at a high level. The equipment of the school, which is unique for this area in Upper Austria, with a large number of pianos, instruments in every area and technical systems, enables a comprehensive musical education, which can be expanded even further in non-binding exercises. The technically very well equipped ballroom with its variable stage is regularly the scene of concerts and musical performances by the students of the BORG. IMPORTANT !!!: Interest in music of all styles in the practical and theoretical area. Joy and willingness to perform when singing, practicing, making music together and presenting in public.

It is independent from the Kaleidarkness corpus, though obviously connected to it... МДМ (initialism for "Mагия Для Mасс", which means "Magic for the Masses") is the very free expression or my experience of the Slavic world through the prism of my Art. Nothing in my life predestined me to discover this particular world, be it my origins, or my preferences, and definitely not the fact of coming from a "country" which purposefully tends to reduce it to "communism"... Far from that pathetic and obviously false binary approach, my discoveries so far on the contrary led me to fascinating countries, people, and Art, who greatly inspired me, and opened new paths for my own Art...

Search | Add | 10 | Marlena Crystal | Born in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, Marlena Crystal soon developed a big love for the 80s and, at the age of 14, began to write and produce music herself. With her interest in how the sounds she loves were created, she started to build up her own homestudio. Marlena found herself in a wild mix of AOR (adult-orientated rock), Hi-NRG and New German Wave. For that, she does not only rely on digital means, but also uses original analogue equipment, which is crucial to her authentic vintage sound. For the label [l=Last Forever Music] and the music publisher Nightline Publishing, Marlena works under the name of her own edition called Crystal Line Music. Besides ghostwriting songs for other musicians, she also released her German debut single ‚Das Schwarz in meinem Licht‘ in 2021, followed by ‚Heut bin ich so stark‘. In 2022 she released the Hi-NRG hit [r=22301059], which became the start of her international success. Her style was heavily influenced by artists such as [a=Stevie Nicks], [a=Pat Benatar] and the German Pop duo [a=Cora]. [a=Bobby Orlando] also counts to her favourite music producers and inspirations.

Search | Add | 10 | Kamuflars | Kamuflars is a beatmaker and producer from Bergen, Norway - and a resident artist for the club nights and music label 'Jungelen'. He enjoys experimenting with electronic sounds, moving towards uptempo tracks made for the dancefloor, combining genres like House and Broken Beat. Even though, one should not categorize his music, being that it’s more about exposing an unpolished and raw vibe! Making the bridge between samples and self produced loops and soundscapes, 'the Kamu' has quite fast come up with his own distinct and playful sound. As he likes to call it: "Nordnes Funk". Together with long-time partner in crime, Jungelen-boss Simon Alejandro, they’ve released several projects on their label during the last seven years – both digitally and on limited runs of vinyl. Presenting to you Kamuflars!

Per Yngve "Pelle" Ohlin, aka Dead (his stage name with Mayhem). He founded Morbid in 1986, but moved to Norway in 1988 to join Mayhem. Ohlin can be considered as one of the most important characters in the black metal scene as his persona, self-destructive behaviour and underground attitude strongly shaped the way black metal was perceived and together with Øystein Aarseth (aka Euronymous) they very much set the standards for others to follow. Life in Norway with Mayhem became very difficult however and it is rumored that he didn't enjoy this world and Euronymous put a lot of pressure on him, or even bullied him, and he most likely suffered from depression. Ohlin died by suicide on April 8th, 1991 and left a note with the lyrics for "Life Eternal", which were later used on Mayhem's "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas" album. |

Search | Add | 10 | Alexey Luka | Алексей Лучко (Alexey Luchko) | Alexey Luka was born in 1983 in Moscow, where he currently lives and works. Among the most talented and influential young artists in the Russian contemporary art scene. With a background in architecture studies, the Russian artist developed a unique and recognizable style, based on the use of abstract geometric shapes and chromatic variations. Perfectly comfortable with different techniques, spray paints, acrylic paints, sculpture, and collage, Alexey Luka creates complex compositions in which the colors and geometric lines interact, resulting in a sort of puzzle to decipher. The observer is left, therefor, to reconstruct and consequently interpret the image, starting precisely with the colors that suggest shapes: faces, characters and landscapes alternate in a game of perception that activates our imagination. Through the composition and decomposition of the shapes and the chromatic combinations, with references to Constructivism and Neo-plasticism, the artist aims to tell a story, to evoke a situation or a vision, in an entirely unusual and original way. |

Search | Add | 10 | Moshe Ganchoff | (1904 – 1997) Known with deep respect throughout his life as “the cantor’s cantor.” His many recitative compositions seamlessly combine eastern European improvisatory tradition with subtle innovations, reflecting the theological and literary as well as the emotional implications of the prayer texts. Born in Odessa, his family settled initially in Toledo, Ohio, where, by coincidence, a number of great cantors served and where a general appreciation for [i]hazzanut[/i] prevailed. In Toledo, as a youth, Ganchoff sang in the choir of Cantor [a=Simon Zemachson], who also conducted and wrote for the choir. Also in his Toledo days, he was inspired by such celebrated guest cantors as [a=Mendel Shapiro] and [a=Cantor Aryeh Leib Rutman], who thus shaped his artistic horizons. Later, as a young man, he went to New York, there he benefited from tutorial work with Hazzan [a=Joshua Lind], and he sang in synagogue choirs directed by such respected choirmasters as [a=Leo Low (2)] and [a=Meyer Machtenberg], and with such star cantors as [a=Yossele Rosenblatt] and [a=Mordechai Hershman]. By the 1940s Ganchoff had emerged as a star cantor. Through the 1970s he served a number of the New York area’s most prestigious traditional synagogues; recorded some of his own settings as well as pieces from the classical European synagogue repertoire; and made concert tours of Europe, Central and South America, and Israel. Ganchoff taught cantorial students for many years at the [a=Hebrew Union College School Of Sacred Music Chorus], influencing entire generations of young cantors.

Search | Add | 10 | Michael Moxham | Michael Moxham | Born on July 25, 1978 in Cooperstown, NY, Michael Moxham was musically inclined for the very beginning. As a small child, he would spend hours in front of his parents’ 8 track or turntables, fiddling with the dials on the car radio, or enjoying his favorite toy, the Fisher Price record player. As time passed this passion only grew, and while the equipment evolved, the essence remained the same. By 17, Saint Michael was known as one of the DC area’s premier up and coming junglists and played weekly at events up and down the East Coast. He soon became interested in scratching/turntablism and SaintMic/ST/MiC was born, blessing the microphone with lyricism, while still remaining firmly ensconced in production and work behind the wheels of steel. By the mid 2000’s, ST/MiC had a number of regular gigs both on the tables and the mic in the DMV area, including a weekly in Fredericksburg, as well as frequent spots at Jessie Tittsworth’s now legendary Krunk events. From ’04-’06, there were frequent collaborations, production for other artists, and the release of several EPs, including those of friends Jazz Addixx. 2009 and 10 would prove equally busy with releases on DigiCrates Records, Japan’s Libyus Music (alongside artists like Nujabes and Fat Jon), and production and engineering credits including Moka Only, Muneshine, Has-Lo and many other well known artists in the indie hip hop scene. In 2011, Mike’s musical explorations took him down yet another new avenue. Having just finished hosting a 52 episode underground hip hop and beat phantasmagoria radio show series , Scrunch Face, Mike adopted a new moniker, SaintLike, to match the new direction. With his very first dubstep remix winning a remix contest for French producer LaTourette and landing on an EP on Beatport in early 2012, the rest of the year would bring more sonic noodlings into the deeper side of bass. As part of the One Love Massive collective, SaintLike continues to bring his genre-defying, “let’s push things forward” sounds to the aurally-inclined. His prolific release schedule continues to bless the mic and pay homage to subwoofer science. |

Search | Add | 10 | Offyourself | Punk rock band with pop characteristics from Villa Park, IL, that existed from 1997 to 2001. The band formed in the fall of '97 when Mike Heerboth (guitar/rasps or vocals), T.J. Durkan (bass/vocals), and Paul Giraldi (drums/screams) got together to start playing songs that were similar to T.J. and Mike's first band, [a1305963]. The band wrote a bunch of songs and started playing shows in Feb. '98, and recorded a demo tape in June of that year. In Sept., Paul left the band to go to school, to be replaced by Bret Mcarty in Nov. (whose first show was the first Hanger 18 show) but Bret left in May '99 to play bass in Crackerjack. Paul returned from school and re-joined the band for the summer until Pat Kilbryde took over on drums. This is the point where the band wrote more rock than "I hate you" punk songs, and recorded their first full-length CD called "Age 5," which was released in Dec. '99. Shortly after, Pat put forth his resignation so he could play drums in [a3256391]. Dave Hoffa then stepped up and joined on drums, and Dan (Fatkid) Nelson joined on rhythm guitar. The band took another step in a different direction and recorded a new full-length, self-titled CD, which was released in Feb. '01 on Dan's [l95133].
