Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | The Combustibles | The five members of The Combustibles who recorded Watch Her and Some Peace of Mind were its regulars during the band’s final act from 1969-72. But each entered the band from vastly different directions. Brothers George (on bass) and Lionel Taylor (on lead), the founder members, were children of British parents who decided to stay on in India after the country’s independence in 1947. George and Lionel recall playing their first guitars and singing together at St. Joseph’s boarding school in Bangalore as young teenagers, inspired by the early harmonies of The Beatles. Returning to Bombay in 1965, they started playing publicly in informal settings till the first edition of The Combustibles formed in 1967. The Taylor parents and their sister Ellen, were the band’s initial mentors and remained their biggest supporters and fans. Everett Perry first discovered his lyrical skills at the young age of thirteen, while in high school at St. Michael’s in the Bandra suburb of Bombay when a number of his friends approached him to pen love poems for their girlfriends – a skill they apparently did not possess! One of his earliest successes, on the local radio called The Cadbury Show resulted in a prize of a dozen Cadbury bars. The poet in Everett ended up becoming The Combustibles song-writer and composer. The oldest in the band by about five years, he was the only one who had theoretical training in music and studied the piano till the intermediate stage. Everett took over the lead vocal slot and became one of the most recognized front-men in the Bombay rock scene – ably supported by George who managed most of the harmony vocals. Bobby Furtado, the baby of the band and brother-in-law of manager Godfrey Uttanwalla, was an important link in The Combustibles chain. For a drummer, Bobby was quiet to a fault and self-effacing till he got on stage! Drumming since the age of sixteen, he had only played with a few local amateur bands till the opportunity to join the band occurred following the illness of regular drummer Croyden Maben late in 1969. Bobby seized the opportunity with both hands (and a strong leg on the bass drum) and provided the basic beat to the music of The Combustibles till the band disbanded in the summer of 1972. While George and Lionel were beginning to practice the harmonies of The Beatles in Bangalore, Everett was honing his song-writing skills and Bobby had still to start playing the drums, Nissim was 8500 miles away in Washington D.C., with his family where his father had just begun employment with the IMF. The family arrived just a month before the horror of President Kennedy’s assassination but three months later, with all of America, watched The Beatles launch a rock revolution as they opened their first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show on 9th February 1964, four days after Nissim’s fourteenth birthday, with All My Loving. Like every teenage boy at the time it seemed, Nissim was hooked and soon had his first cheap acoustic guitar. But nothing went very far until fate intervened and a classmate in high school named Pat Loper invited Nissim to his home where every member of the family (including the Mom) would sit around after dinner playing the guitar and strumming classic country songs. Buck Owens and the Buckaroos was what they played most! There was no rock played in the Loper household – though Act Naturally was soon to be an important bridge between Buck Owens and Ringo and The Beatles! Five years later as the family got ready to return to India, a friendly salesman at Veneman Music in the Arlington suburb of Washington D.C. suggested to Nissim’s father that his son would do well to take along a Fender Stratocaster and this new fuzz-wah pedal of a type that a guitarist named Jimi Hendrix had already made very famous. Nissim’s passport to The Combustibles had just been delivered!

Search | Add | 5 | DLG The Byronic Hero | Denardo Lee Gastin | Liberian-American artist, photographer, vlogger, and musician. Born: 3 August 1984 in Atlanta, GA, USA Never professionally trained in music, Denardo Lee Gastin raised himself, around Arts and Entertainment since childhood, especially around music. Growing up, he was listening to various Liberian music, but also cited earlier influences, such as Ryuichi Sakamoto, Michael Jackson, house music, East Coast Underground Hip Hop, and the late 1990s/early 2000s Nu Metal & Rap Rock scene, as contributes to his style. Following the footsteps of his late father who was also a musician, he started writing music lyrics in 2000, at the age of 15, but wasn't recorded on Audio until 2008, only using an MP3 player over licensed instrumentals, during a 2008-2009 period of being a rapper on MySpace. Surviving recordings of his rap music, still exist on his Reverbnation page. By 2011, he re-emerged as an instrumentalist, recording his first 2 instrumentals, but didn't return to music again, until 2015, after now solely recording music from his iPad Pro, with various music applications, that made it easier for him. By 2018, he finally released his 1st album, "Here Ye, Here Ye! (Vol. 1)" on his 34th birthday that year. DLG's musical style is very eclectic, ranging from Electronic, House, Hip Hop, Acid Jazz, Minimal, Shibuya-Kei, Afrobeat, and Latin. |

Search | Add | 5 | Angelina Tezanou | Born on September 24 in Cameroon, in the Bamiléké region, Angélina (Angeline) TEZANOU, blind, is an accomplished artist with a full head. Holder of a DEA in International Economic and Commercial Law, she divides her life between her work as an advisor and her passion: music. Emeritus artist (pianist, guitarist and violinist), thanks to her talent, her charisma and her will, she succeeds in overcoming her blindness and transforming into an asset what would initially pass for a handicap. Strongly marked by Zouk at the start of her career, she expresses herself just as well in other genres such as Funk, R'n'b, Ragga, Reggae, Rap, Cameroonian folklore or variety. French. She defends, through her music, a multiculturalism that she has acquired through her thirst for knowledge and independence. She is very active in the voluntary sector to help the blind integrate through artistic expression and education (Angelmusic / Cecimode). At the age of 7, because of her sight problems, Angélina left Cameroon for France. She attended a religious school where she was introduced to music. At 10, she recorded her first album with the other children of the choir. At 18, in order to pay for her law studies, she began to play cabaret and was noticed by several groups. The first she joined is a West Indian team: Kawatch. Angélina learns Creole there to better assert herself overall. Two years later, she left this group to join "the Girls" as singer and guitarist. She recorded and co-produced the album "Viens on va danser" and participated in several tours through France, Germany, Switzerland and the West Indies.

Search | Add | 5 | Overthought | Overthought is an electro/acoustic Rock duo from Pavullo nel Frignano, near Modena. Born in October 2016 the band is formed by Michele Magnani (voice, guitar) and Przemek Werbik (bass). Their musical references range from Ben Howard, to Stu Larsen and Passenger (among the others), but these young musicians’ background goes back to the 90s, to the Seattle grunge scene. This reflects directly on their instrumental and compositional approach. The straightforward songwriting and guitar playing -which lets the bass free to explore- give birth to an easy-listening, yet detailed sound. In 2020 they publish their self-titled album, recorded at All Right Riserva studio, produced by Achille Caifa for Yoloco Music inc. and published by All Right Riserva Recordz.

Najmi formed Jemson as his own Jameson Project immediately after Incarnation called it a day in 2015. He chose to collaborate with Myo in a song titled Rock N’ Roll Sampai Mati, which soon became the theme song for Myo’s popular travel show Ride Hensem. The chemistry between them was so good that both men agreed to transform Jameson Project into supergroup Jemson, a playful “Malayisation” of Jameson. Jemson recently released an EP titled Balada Cinta Kosmos under Oh Chentaku Records, with five tracks reminiscent of 80s rock with punk attitude.

Search | Add | 5 | Warred | Warred was founded in 2012 by young band members and long time friends Arthur Ernandes and Rodrigo Andrade. They both shared the same passion for old school metal bands such as Iron Maiden, Metallica, Judas Priest and more, they formed a band pursuing the fiery and furious sound of the old guard, bringing that to the modern times back then. The band began recording their debut EP ‘Wild Legion’ in 2013, but feeling their music needed more time to shape its style, it took a few years from that to come back with a stable line up consisting of Pedro Mion (vocals), Arthur Ernandes (guitar), Rodrigo Andrade (guitar), Jorge Nascimento (drums) and Espiga (bass). This is the lineup who recorded two singles “Beneath The Sea” and “Where I Belong” in 2019 and now coming with a brand new song “Behind The Mask” that is featured on the band’s first ever video. The band is now in process of songwriting for their debut record which is due to be recorded and released in Q4 2020. It fuses its old school style with their new found influences such as Gojira, Mastodon, Opeth and more, but all band members have different musical backgrounds such as hardcore, punk and more. With that said, the debut album will come with an unique and constant evolving sound. Warred was also, in part time, an Iron Maiden cover band. The guys in Warred not only payed its tribute to one of the biggest bands in history, but also did it with so much maestry that the band began to being noticed in cover festivals around Sao Paulo and won a major championship of cover bands by unanimty from a body of highly specialized jurors, giving the band the right of being the resident band of some reputable and internationally recognized night clubs in Sao Paulo such as Blackmore.

Ensimmäiset koeluontoiset treenit pidettiin Narrimarssin treenikämpällä Pihlajistossa, jonne uuden kokoonpanon saanut Lumiraja pian muutti. Samalla kämpällä treenasivat noihin aikoihin myös pientä paikallista suosiota saaneet Public Reaction When Communism Comes, Little Mary Mix-Up, The Innerspacemen ja Poverty Stinks. Uudistunut Lumiraja (Caiju Rönnholm - laulu, Asmo Hammer - kitara, Tomi Nuotio - basso, Heikki Hämeri - viulu, Timmo Ravea - rummut) teki ahkerasti keikkoja Helsingin klubeissa, jolloin se herätti myös vasta toimintansa aloittaneen Tonal Recordsin mielenkiinnon. Kesällä 1988 äänitettiin esikoissinkku "Käy kansa/Laiskiainen, joka ilmestyi loppuvuodesta. Tällöin Lumiraja sai kutsun Radio Cityyn Kimmo Helistön haastatteluun. Samoihin aikoihin tehtiin bändistä myös ensimmäinen juttu Rumbaan, jota varten Jouko Lehtola otti bändistä promo-kuvia. Seuraava sinkku "Mari Toukokuu/Etäistä" julkaistiin vuoden 1989 aikana, joka soi mm. Ylen ja Radio Cityn ohjelmissa. Bändissä tapahtui kuitenkin taas miehistövaihdoksia: kitaristi Asmo hammer lopetti, ja tilalle tuli mm. Nauwon Sudet-bändissä soittanut Timo Forss. Tällä kokoonpanolla äänitettiin talvella 90/91 Equaliz-studiossa Töölössä Kimmo Helistön tuottama "Kosto/Vaahtera"-7", joka jäi Lumirajan viimeiseksi julkaisuksi. Bändi lopetti toimintansa syksyllä 1991.

Search | Add | 5 | The Mahlors | There are many bands that fuse the sounds of Reggae and Rock. There are few bands who can pull it off and make it their own. The Mahlors are not just your ordinary band. The Mahlors were conceived by lead guitarist/vocalist Justin Jones and lead vocalist/guitarist Kevin Gresh in 2008. Pretty soon, Jones was writing song after song with Gresh, and the two knew they were on to something. Drawing from a wide range of musical influences that ranged from Bob Marley to Minor Threat, The Police to N.W.A., to the jazz greats of Coltrane and Miles, they were creating a unique take on the genre of Reggae. Jones and Gresh were determined to start a band. The beginning of the band started with Jones, Gresh, and their long-time friend and drummer, TJ Haslett. They went through a line-up of bass players until they came across Anthony Villar. The four instantly clicked. The vibes were on point and the band set off to turn some heads. And turn heads they did. By 2009, the band was playing non-stop all around the state of PA. They quickly became a local favorite amongst all different age groups, all the while nobody in the band was even over the age of 18. After gigging, the band finally stepped in the recording studio to cut their first album. By the end of the summer, they already sold over 100 self - made CD's. The Mahlors weren't done yet. That same year in between shows, the boys went back into the studio to produce their second album entitled Give In. It had become even popular than their first. They continued to perform and were racking up gigs almost every week. By 2010, the band had already opened up for national acts such as The Supervillains, The Movement, Ballyhoo, The Green, Bad Manners, The B Foundation, Iration, Echo Movement, and many more. They were gathering up a loyal following all along the East Coast. Kevin Gresh quit the group in late 2011 for personal reasons. Although this set the group back, it did not stop them. Justin moved on to lead vocal duties and guitar, and they added longtime friend of the band Ryan DeHaven to play guitar and sing backing vocals. This lineup change gave the band new legs, and they started to grind harder than ever before. In 2012 they played over 160 shows and closed out the year with a month long tour up and down the entire east coast. 2013 brought some challenges; when bassist Anthony Villar parted ways from the band, at first they didn't really know what to do, but then they were saved by Jeff MacCain. A guitarist by nature and a longtime friend of the band, Jeff has filled Anthony's shoes on bass better than expected, and continues to rock shows with the band. Aside from that The Mahlors still managed to go on a few tours in 2013, ending the year with a long one that consisted of an east coast run as well as a leg out to Chicago and back. Now it is 2014, and The Mahlors continue to broaden their horizons. After playing over 300 shows in the last two years, and touring up and down the east coast many times, their relentless gigging and dedication has served to establish themselves as an incredible and unmissable live act. Their fan base is growing faster than ever and people are swarming to see and hear the unique blend of reggae and punk than The Mahlors produce!! Genre: If Reggae had sex with Punk, Ska, Dub, Rocksteady, Hiphop, and Jazz. Band Members: Justin Jones: Guitar/Vocals Ryan DeHaven: Guitar/Vocals Jeff MacCain: Bass TJ Haslett: Drums
