Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | Teldja | Saadia Bakhouch | Saadia Bakhouch known as Teldja ثلجة is an Algerian singer born in Aïn Beïda on June 12, 1953. The main merit of this great singer is in contributing to renew and divulge a musical style known as Chaoui belonging to the culture of the Berber people with the same name. The Chaouis (Amazigh: Icawiyen) are an ethnic group inhabiting the Aurès (Amazigh: ⴰⵡⵔⴰⵙ / Awras), a region located in the north east of Algeria, characterized by a rich history and by the mountain that gives the name to the region. Teldja proposes a revision of the musical heritage of this region, sometimes reinterpreting it using a classically Arabic orchestration, which still arouses various criticisms by various members of the Algerian Berber community who have always considered arabization as absolute evil. Very little is known about the biography of this artist whose art has been gradually forgotten. It seems she have begun to sing at parties and weddings in the early '70s. In 1976 she performed in the city of Ouenza in the company of the folkloric band, generating great appreciation and starting a brilliant but brief career. She has never left her region of origin and has lived between the cities of Annaba and Tebessa, recording several songs among which the best known are: "Ya Salah", "Talaa netsawar" and "Tiri tiri ya teyyara ". During her career she has collaborated with some of the best Algerian composers including: Rabah Driassa and Mohamed Boulifa. In 1984 she was invited for an official performance in the city of Constantine, since then the news about her disappears. |

The self release and friend label Killing 774 was use to promote the names and other Gameboy Camera acts. Another self release label Letzle Hoffnug promoted works on 3inch discs and produce the 100 limited DJ Qudo 7inch sold at shows around town and in Philadelphia. DJ Qudo currently gets good grades in school and wishes to produce more music in the future." -Last.FM 25 Jun 2010. |

Search | Add | 5 | Duff Ferguson | Los Angeles, California Folk-Pop Crooner DUFF FERGUSON is a familiar face around the LOS ANGELES Roots Rock Scene, having rode in crap tour vans, recorded alongside, jammed with, photographed, danced with the wives of and bought PBRS for most everybody in 20 years of California Music. These days you’ll find him performing alone on a vintage parlor guitar, singing lovely songs of loss, loose songs of love and portraits of life drawn from the many characters he’s met in a lifetime of traveling America’s dustier corners. Duff was born in New York City to a family of classical musicians and raised in rural New Jersey. As the son of a choir director, he sang spirituals in church but bought rock and pop records with his allowance. After discovering an old Yamaha student guitar in the attic, he developed his own guitar technique simply because he didn’t know anyone who played guitar and there was no Internet. Duff cut his performing teeth in Sea of Fuzz, a beer-soaked college cover band lauded by a Haverford, PA paper as “the local band with the largest amps.” The band entertained for four years and provided Duff’s first encounters with electrocution and arguments over band members’ girlfriends. Duff’s first solo New York show was at the Lion’s Den in Greenwich Village as headliner at the NOHO Acoustic Guitar Festival. While living in Hells Kitchen and the Village, Duff recorded and distributed 5 EPs of original songs and acted as band manager for Jared Barkan’s Hot Iris rock trio with Hans Glawischnig (Chick Corea) and Richie DeBonis. Moving to San Francisco during the dot com crash, Duff fell in with Americana roots artist Rich McCulley, joining his band as a lead guitar player for over 50,000 miles of national touring and promo appearances in a battered Ford Windstar minivan. The band’s drummer, Andrew Griffin (Felsen), and bass player Eran Ellerbeck then performed on Duff’s debut 2 song single “Wanna Get High”, which was produced by Griffin and fellow San Francisco producer Jeff Rolka. In 2004, Duff joined an exodus of Bay Area musicians to Los Angeles, playing his first gig in LA as lead guitar player for fellow San Francisco act Single at The Gig in Hollywood. The band included singer/guitarist Todd Herfindal (The Meadows) and drummer Tommy Rickard (Vain, Linda Perry). Within a month, Duff fell in cahoots with bass player Rick Barrio Dill (Vintage Trouble), drummer George Bernardo (Cash’d Out, Evangenitals) and vocalist Teri Untalan – a band that was captured in the five song EP “400 Miles” at Rich McCulley’s Red Hill recording studios in San Francisco soon after. Rob Beaton mixed it in Los Angeles, and it was named a top 25 release for 2005 by Music Connection Magazine. The unsigned band played widely in the Los Angeles area and San Francisco with vocalist Carlett Martin taking over for Untalan on harmonies. Now managed by CLM Management in Burbank, Duff began a series of “jive and drive” solo tours of colleges, listening rooms and house concerts all the way from the Mexican border right up to Bellingham, WA and out east to Texas and Arizona, playing on live television and radio along the way. In Arizona, one morning television show appearance coincided with Nolan Ryan, one of Duff’s pitching heroes. “Suddenly” was used on MTV. All this traveling and music making led to Duff’s next record “Good Things,” released in 2008 on Single Recordings. Strange coincidences and handshakes made in dark bars led to many of his favorite lights in the LA roots scene joining in the record: Rick Barrio Dill, Mike Stinson, Tony Gilkyson, Tommy Rickard, Todd Herfindal, Kevin Houlihan, Rob Douglas, Heather Waters, Rich McCulley, Amy Farris, Taras Prodaniuk, Carmen Doane and Jared Barkan. Herfindal and McCulley participated also as co-writers and producers. In 2014, Duff began issuing a series of about a dozen unreleased songs starting with the track “Interstellar Poetry” mixed with the occasional video and the odd ukelele. These recordings showcased a stripped down sound with only acoustic guitar and voice performed live to “tape,” a style that Duff soon came to focus on in public performances as well. The record “My Story Is The Same” (2018), produced by Ted Wulfers and Todd Herfindal, featured 9 such tracks that showcase pop melodies combined with a driving rhythmic acoustic style and soulful topics. The warm reception to this new sound led Duff Ferguson to his next solo acoustic record “More Than I Should,” released in 2019. It is a 10-track acoustic bonanza that once again captures Duff performing alone with a humble 1960s student guitar into 3 vintage mics. Duff’s too-tender voice is set free in this setting to trace a singularly personal line though the tracks. It floats from one register to another, breaks like a wave and slides behind the beat when you need it most. Duff is currently at work on his seventh record, working once again with Wulfers and Herfindal, slated for 2020 release. He and songwriter Tom Bishel have released an EP of rock co-writes also recorded at Wulfers’ 663 Sound Studio under the name Origin Story. Duff can also been seen as 1/2 of the improvisational acoustic duo Blues At The End Of Time with Jared Barkan. Duff has produced recordings for artists such as Jared Barkan (“Dark Blue”/2006), Carmen Doane and Kim DiVine. He has co-written songs with Simon Lynge (“One Day at a Time”/BMI), Todd Herfindal (“The Things That Lovers Do”/BMI & ASCAP), Rich McCulley (“Never Enough”/BMI), Allan Frank (“Open Your Eyes”/BMI) and Tom Bishel (“One Step to the Top,” “No Better Time,” “Walk to the Edge” & “Guardian Angel”/BMI). Duff has also helped several hundred artists design artwork and create photos/video for their music releases, including The Spencer Davis Group, The Meadows, David Serby, Grant Langston and Rich McCulley to name a few. Duff lives in Los Angeles.

Search | Add | 5 | JP Maurice | Jean-Paul Maurice | “Big change is coming” is JP Maurice’s anthemic promise to anyone who has seen their share of adversity. The seasoned Vancouver based musician, songwriter and producer knows the highs of his craft, but it’s in the lows where he finds his fire – taking the fuel of failed record deals, broken hearts, and the loss of loved ones and forging the pain into something beautifully optimistic. After touring Canada, Europe, and then taking home 2nd place in the PEAK Performance Project radio contest in 2015, a loss in the family turned Maurice mostly inwards, where he focused on channeling his emotions into his art. Investing in a world-class studio in Vancouver has allowed for late night collaborations, producing other artists, and creating endless song ideas. A direct result was the Girls EP, released in January 2017, which sweeps from cinematic pop-noir into slinky neo-soul, all tied together with Maurice’s powerfully emotive vocals. It’s a modern sound that captures timeless sentiments – love, loss, and the twists and turns in between. 2018 Kicked off with Maurice’s national TV debut as a featured artist on CTV’s The Launch, where he performed “Shapeshifter” live in front of industry big-wigs and over 1 million Canadian viewers. The follow up to the Girls EP was the aptly titled Boys LP, released in the spring of 2018. Picking up where the Girls EP left off, Boys has a more optimistic tone and evolves into a new sound for Maurice with flecks of alt country and roots rock embedded in the album. Since then, Maurice has immersed himself in working on his forthcoming album Pressure Makes Diamonds; set to be his most personal endeavor to date by taking on co-production duties alongside music industry veteran Ted Gowans (The Rentals, Tegan and Sara, Kehsa). The album is slotted to be released in 2020 and will coincide with Maurice’s plans to embark on a European tour. |

Search | Add | 5 | Fractional Importance | Fractional Importance is a nu metal band from Los Angeles, California formed in 1998, consisting of Doug Gledhill (lead vocals and guitar), Nate Perry (bass and backing vocals) and Kevin Fessler (drums). Their sound has been described as ranging from alternative metal and post-hardcore to modern rock. Although the band never enjoyed mainstream success, they were one of the few independent rock bands to emerge from the saturated late 1990s Hollywood club scene who, through largely self-funded touring and relentless promotion, were able to amass a sizable fan base and influence younger L.A. based band bands coming up on the same scene.

Search | Add | 5 | Diane Marie Kloba | Diane Marie Kloba is a Chicago-based singer-guitarist-songwriter who has ploughed a unique furrow, with uncompromising creative integrity, across eight studio albums and numerous shorter recordings, with another two full-length records ready for imminent release. Diane’s music is characterised by its uniqueness, by its sense of difference, although that difference isn’t some kind of self-consciousness exoticism, or a theatrical otherness, or yet the atavistic social transgression that is arguably a facet of all pop-music. Diane’s difference is more a kind of personalised strangeness: it’s the same kind of difference that makes you you, and me me. Her work as a composing musician began in 1997, and since that time Diane has released eight full-length albums, along with many shorter releases and collaborations. In her solo work, Diane plays most of the instruments herself, including guitar, drums, percussion and synthesizers, although other contributors are present on some recordings. Diane has released collaborative recordings with creative musicians around the world in a wide variety of styles, and has received airplay on many radio stations globally. This has enabled her to reach a diverse and appreciative audience, and she has received a lot of positive critical attention. Her songs are sometimes recognisable riffs on the pop song form, and at other times they are overtly experimental, but there is never anything abrasive or ‘difficult’ about them. Across all of her varied releases there is a consistent dedication to presenting the unalloyed truth of her experience within the recognisable format of the song, her many and illuminating creative insights offered to the listener with directness and generosity. She welcomes her audience with warmth and wonder into the capacious dwelling that is her uniquely creative heart.

Search | Add | 5 | My Sister, My Brother | Garrison Starr, Sean McConnell and Peter Groenwald had no intention of forming a band when they gathered for a songwriter's camp during 2018 in Nashville. But their composition there, "Nothing Without You" led to My Sister, My Brother. "We just hit it off right off the bat and had so much fun," McConnell tells Billboard. "We wrote 'Nothing Without You' that first day, and we were all, like, 'Wow, this is something we should do again' and we made it a priority to get back together." The trio wound up writing a half-dozen songs together at four or five subsequent gatherings back in Nashville, recording mostly at Groenwald's home studio. "We all produced, but Peter did most of the heavy lifting," McConnell reports. And he says their continued collaboration was about as easy as it was for "Nothing Without You."

After college graduation and the band's first solo show on 28 July 2013, she left to pursue regular civilian life. Search | Add | 5 | Technicolor Noir | Technicolor Noir | TECHNICOLOR NOIR .. Noir as in "Film Noir", Movie buff, band songwriter & guitar player Astro's favorite film genre. And Technicolor as in "Technicolor Dreams" but, Noir. "Technicolor Noir" is the sub-genre where the Film Noir is shot in color... Hollywood colors! But, the story of the movie remains dark... which should be telling concerning our music versus our lyrics. A relatively new project, Technicolor Noir are from Paris' underground garage-rock scene; members feature : Astro, founder & lead guitarist, a veteran garage-rocker who previously played in the Tribe, Bang!, Scope, Bouton Rouge and numerous short-lived bands in-between... Eric, another veteran, but of the Paris indie pop-rock scene, mostly as ex.drummer and bassist in touring underground French singin' Power-Pop band, "La Moutarde Me Monte au Nez", with a record of 4 LPs; he now plays drums in Technicolor Noir... Yves, the original bass player who previously split after recording the group’s first 45 on “Dig The Fuzz’s Singles Club” limited issues is now back in the fold. He still leads, on the side (on guitar & vocals), his own Paris garage-rock band “Les Guillotines”, who had the privilege of being the first record released by the French indie label “Requiem Pour Un Twister” on their early subsidiary “Croque Macadam”. That label has since issued some records by “Triptides”, “The Proper Ornaments” or “The Young Sinclairs”... and Seva, direct from Russia, lead guitar and co-founder of the Karovas Milkshake, one of two of the most proeminent Russian garage-rock bands (the other being close friends, the Thunderbeats! ); he plays second guitar, alternating rhythm and leads, he sings lead on some tracks too. There you have the NEWEST line-up of this garage Folk-Rock project which started out as "Cloud Pilots" in 2013... ______ Members' bio. : Yves : likes singing about Guillotines (in French! ) and hunting wild ducks and boars when not singing hymns in churches on sundays! Dresses like a French Art Nouveau gentleman-detective (Hercule Poirot… with assorted mustache! ) and collects rare Garage 45s. A deerstalker cap would make his day, I presume. Seva : Russian spy and I with a French alibi. A delivery boy by trade, he fixes bicycles on the side but, after a past life making Karova Milkshakes, he really loves to quietly cultivate vegetables in his own backyard and occasionally teaches Jazz, writing musical scores. Currently Charging a Wave of Surf instrumental music… Astro : After watching late nights one too many Film Noirs, he had a bad Technicolor Dream that he should write garage-rock songs in his living-room... but, does so sporadically. He used to Bang and Scope out plans but nowadays, more often likes lazing around, listening to old records and going thru thrift-stores and bric-a-brocs on …lazy sunday afternoons; he’s a professional unemployed. An original Eastern halfcast « man-in-black », he hates Western patriots but likes their red, white and blue colors! • Eric : When not wearing casual jeans, tees and sneakers in his leisure time, bangin' on drums in his garage or breading children on weekends, he is the original Suit... the Man of Real Estate ! The only grown-up in the band who has a licence, drives a car around, takes care of business and manages the group’s budget. The most experienced of us all with 4 albums recorded under his belt... he is the Captain of our ship! |

Search | Add | 5 | Nelson Arion | The Nelson Arion Male Voice Choir is an integral part of the musical landscape of East Lancashire. The choir was formed in 1887. Although Joe Ingham was the first of many famous names to have the honour of conducting the Arion Choir, it was not until he handed the baton to Isaac Thompson in 1890 that the choir ventured into the competitive arena. In was in 1910 that Lawson Berry (pictured on right) took the Arion to compete at Caergwile (Wales) where they took first prize and Bardic Chair. This was the first time a Chair was ever brought out of Wales.Over many, many years the unique sound from the Arion Choir has been widely recognised by people like Sir Thomas Armstrong, who for many years was a most respected adjudicator of Choral Music. It could be said that the choir hit one of its peaks during and after the 1980’s. The choir won many Festivals and Competitions, which included the Llangollen International Eisteddfod (a record 5 times), the BBC Radio Wales Choir of the Year Competition, The Elgar Trophy and many more. The choir has also appeared at the Royal Albert Hall and the Festival Hall in London. They have also visited Germany, Vancouver, Budapest and Ireland and have made very recent appearances (and continue to do so in 2012) at the prestigious Bridgewater Hall – Manchester.

Search | Add | 5 | Otvoreni Prelom | Otvoreni Prelom | Otvoreni Prelom (Open Fracture) is Anarcho Hardcore Punk band from Senta (Serbia). The initial idea of forming a band started well before it's realization. Somewhere in the winter of 2008 the band started their first rehearsals…they quickly begun work on copyrighted songs! The problematic years of 1990's which brought wars, hate, life and death in the Balkan region did not bring good to anyone. But those years are well behind now. Text columns speak of the abyss that was managed to pull ourselves out of us, and of repercussions, but if a person does not think with his or her head then that person becomes a victim. We call upon everyone to stand up against any form of suppression which might be directed against us… and to make it clear that we will not be just innocent bystanders…main focus it's centered around pain, dealing with hard life, but also with lot of positive aspects such as survival, fight, truth and awareness that always can be worse than it already is. First album called Samokontrola was released in spring 2016. The band went through different lineup changes after recording first album. Ivan Molnar replaced Tihomir Vojnić on bass, and Palfi Čaba replaced Nyerges Tamas on drums. Further work from the band Otvoreni Prelom you will soon taste for yourselves, as the band already works on new album. Band members are: Mićo Krnjac - vocals Milan Simić Simke - guitar and backing vocals Kristian Bakalić - guitar Ivan Molnar - bass Palfi Čaba - drums |

Search | Add | 5 | Gáspár Kornél | Kornél Gáspár | Gáspár Kornél is one of the Hungary’s most precious hidden gems. In the early 90's he released a lot of raw trashy dadaistic cassette tapes. Musically it occupies a space between new wave, electro and industrial. The lyrics, mostly in Hungarian, evoke a poignant and mysterious combination of poetic descriptions of the post-socialist reality, unmistakably dystopic images of the future that are sweetened by an almost folksy humour of a bygone era. This in itself would already win - his projects like [a=Új Látásmód Fúzió], [a=Nosztalgia Direktíva] etc a considerable chapter in the history books of the Hungarian electronic music scene. What makes this baritone voice absolutely inimitable though is the fact that the songs are delivered with a wonderfully charming avant-garde showmanship that is both surprising and self-evident at the same time. |
