Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 5 | Uncle Julius | Ross Gordon / Emil Gorski | “Uncle Julius” was an over-the-air character created by Madison, WI, radio announcer “Ross Gordon,” which in turn was the professional name of one Emil Gorski. While spinning “Old Time” records on radio WKOW, Ross began speaking in German dialect as “Uncle Julius,” ultimately leading to the creation of a band led by the fictitious character. Emil (Ross’s birth name) was the youngest of over half a dozen children born to Antonia Kolakowski and her husband Joseph W. Gorski in the northern Wisconsin town of Three Rivers. Emil spent World War II as an instructor at Camp Hood (now Fort Cavazos), TX, which opened in 1942 as a new “Tank Destroyer Tactical and Firing Center.” After the war, Emil got into radio announcing, working at WSPA, Spartanburg, SC; WWL, New Orleans, LA; and WTAD, Quincy, IL. Over the air he was Ross Gordon, a professional name he ultimately adopted legally. The Uncle Julius Band was actively performing by the fall of 1950, with regular engagements during 1951, and recordings for Capitol Records and Milwaukee’s Tell Records. He became a real estate agent, all the while maintaining his radio show, and using the Uncle Julius picture in his realty ads. He opened his own real estate office, and in 1961 ran unsuccessfully for mayor of Madison. Uncle Julius/Ross/Emil is not noted to have played an instrument, but did provide spoken introductions to recordings, and “directed” the Uncle Julius band at its live performances. Emil Gorski/Ross Gordon passed away unexpectedly on May 16, 1977, at the age of 58. |

With its strong connection to sea-shanties, Celtic, Irish and Scottish folk music, well influenced by Karmøys culture as a community of seafarers, they have built up a audience friendly style and sound through the use of traditional instruments, fused seamlessly with bass and drums. This, along with charismatic lead singers and an energetic and dynamic 20-piece choir creates an energy and presence that makes a breathtaking performance for their audience and led them to a impressing 3rd place in the national TV - competition Norway's Got Talent in 2015.

He was in a lukewarm state as he chose to create local songs or cover old songs for adaptation. The company decided to let him switch to singing Hokkien songs, which received a great response after releasing the album. At the same time, it was also decided that he would sing Hokkien songs in a certain style. In 1988, he joined the "[l4018767]" company as a singer and signed a six-year contract. At the same time, change the stage name to "蕭楓" and release the album. After releasing a Hokkien album, it received high praise from many listeners and sparked a Hokkien style in the music industry. In the 1990s, along with "[a15481959]", "[a7421016]", and "[a5945748]", they were praised by record companies as the "Four Emperors of Fujian" singers.

| Search | Add | 5 | Ben Strik | Ben Strik (1924), or Father Ben Strik, was known in Dutch as "De Zingende Pater" ("The Singing Father"). In the 70s he started with church services in Beverwijk in the North of Holland and eventually he went all over The Netherlands with it under the name "Die Aaghten Cantorij". The money made from donations and the release of records went to the "Brasil op Weg" foundation that funded projects for water wells, to volunteers that went to help in areas with leprosy and to agricultural co-operations in Brazil. More choirs joined Strik's initiatives to support these projects. He worked with choirs in Dutch villages and cities like Wognum, Utrecht and Tilburg. In his sermons he was always very straight forward against injustice and poverty in the world. Against all rules, Ben Strik was married to Vera Strik, and Strik was always firmly against celibacy. In a newspaper interview, Strik once said, quote: "The church looks at a married priest as a male prostitute". He died on Wednesday, the 12th of March 2014 at the age of 91. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Kings Harem | Originally from New Jersey, growing up in the mid 80's, we saw the rise of shopping malls and hair bands. It was a melting pot of music, musicians and fashion. To either be in a band or be seen hanging out with a band was the coolest thing ever. On the local scene rising up in the shadows of Bon Jovi, Skid Row and Trixter alike was KINGS HAREM. Featured on WSOU & WDHA, the bands notoriety took off at the start of the 90's. Known for their high energetic stage performances, the band thrived on giving the audience a show remember. Infamous for their after show parties, the band would sometimes make 5 - 10 lbs. of pasta feeding the crew and guests. The band members mostly Italian, were all home grown boys having the time of their lives. Formed in the spring of 88' founding members John Crisci, guitarist and Jerry Capri, bassist, were both performing on the Jersey club circuit in various bands. Like most musicians they were involved in projects that often developed into something else. John fresh out of music college, meet Jerry from an ad in a paper called the 'Aquarian'. The two personalities hit it off to seek out a drummer to jam with. Performing at a local club doing cover tunes was drummer, Jon Orth. The following jam sessions were joined by Jon's closest friend, keyboardist, John Seput. The nucleus of Kings Harem was formed from those jam sessions with John Crisci assuming the lead vocals as the writing progressed. Performing gigs on the local club circuit to work out material and fine tune the show, the band realized it needed a front man to spark up the live performance engine. One night after passing out band flyers on car windshields promoting a gig, John Crisci stopped in a 7/11 coffee shop. There he meets Ruben Gomez Kane at the coffee machine. Ruben had just left the pop band, "Menudo" and was looking for a rock project. Ruben was invited to sing at the next gig covering a Bad Company song, 'Rock Steady' and the rest was history. The energy of that performance was so cool we knew we had something. Captivating vocals, blazing guitars hooks and high energetic performances. Follow us and obtain the "All Access Pass". KINGS HAREM is: RUBEN GOMEZ - Lead Vocals and Backing Vocals - Already an International recording star from Menudo, with a long touring discography joined the band 1991. The John Crisci meet Ruben at a local Jersey 7/11 getting a cup of coffee. Not knowing who he was, he asked if he was a singer. He said yes and he invited him to sing at a gig that weekend. ...and that’s how they meet Ruben. They've remained friends every since that day. Ruben's solo career has broadened his musical horizon that has expanded his personal facebook fan base to 75k. JOHN CRISCI - Lead Guitar and Backing Vocals - A Music Major graduate of Wiilliam Paterson University, NJ, with 10 years of jingle sessions, film sound tracks, producing and engineering. "As a band, we lived for the stage performance." Playing with all the Jersey greats in past bands, such as Ray Gillan of Bandlands, it was a close circle of friendships, musicianship and down right good fun! JERRY CAPRI - Bass Guitar and Backing Vocals - A Bassist who plays his instrument like a lead guitar with the stage presence of a front man, what a combo. Right out of college radio, already a DJ personality, his charisma captivates the audience to make you wonder what is he going to do next? Never a dull moment... JON ORTH - Drums, Percussion and Backing Vocals - You’d swear he had 4 legs and hands. His understanding of rhythm counterpoint and song arrangement really held us together. A well rounded session player, knew any style and how to compliment the song. A true showman and friend, plus he,swings a mean hammer. JOHN SEPUT - Keyboards and Backing Vocals - A technical wizard and also a Music Major graduate of Wiilliam Paterson University. John knew how to pad and embellish the songs. From the tonal changes to complicated chord passages, he had it down. He also had the Rack of GOD! You’d swear the heavens were opening up when he laid into those keys. He could peal the paper off venue walls with one key stroke and make it rain on command! Once he took the stage, you knew KINGS HAREM was law. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Clark Galehouse | [l=Golden Crest] Records was headed by Cold Spring Harbor resident [a=Clark Galehouse] at manufacturing premises in Huntington Station from 1956 until his death in 1983. Galehouse saw the independent record business grow from a cottage industry to a powerhouse on the back of rock ‘n’ roll music. He participated in this growth through his [l=Shelley Products] pressing plant, servicing many national labels. Through [l=Golden Crest] and other labels, he released a wide range of music from rock ‘n’ roll and rhythm & blues to the classics. Galehouse also recorded many college bands throughout the country. As a musician, plastics expert, recording engineer and educator he put his talents to full use in the [l=Shelley Products] and [l=Golden Crest] businesses. In 1953, Galehouse formed [l=Crest Records] in honor of his Creston, Iowa, hometown mainly as a vehicle for western singer Arizona [a=Cliff Martin (5)]. [l=Golden Crest] was introduced in late 1956, just as rock ‘n’ roll was establishing itself through Bill Haley and Elvis Presley. However, the early releases were mostly dated pop reflecting Galehouse’s formative years in music. Over a nearly 30-year time span, [l=Golden Crest] released more than 500 commercial albums (plus many custom releases for colleges and schools) and some 200 45 rpm singles. Galehouse formed a music publishing company, [l=CFG Pub. Co.] (his initials). This enabled him to publish much of the original material that was presented for recording, thereby providing a secondary income stream. Although the pressing plant was Galehouse’s cash cow, he loved producing and engineering sessions and would make regular field trips to record college and high school bands for custom release on the associated [l=Crest Records] and [l=Silver Crest] labels. In May 1959, Clark Galehouse launched teen label [l=Shelley], named after the principal [l=Shelley Products] business, by now a large independent pressing plant, and in turn Galehouse’s daughter. By 1965, Golden Crest was primarily an album label. According to Shelley Galehouse Broven, her father was “known and appreciated for letting artists do what they wanted, unlike many producers or label owners.” Throughout the '70s and early '80s, Clark Galehouse was still traveling around the United States recording college bands at conventions. But after a second attack, he died on the road in Jacksonville, Florida, on January 3, 1983, at the age of 71. An obituary in the Oyster Bay Guardian described him as “a pioneer in the field of recording and record manufacture.” [l=Golden Crest] Records lasted one more year, and [l=Shelley Products] was ended in 1985. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Morticia's Chair | Cleveland-based band Morticia’s Chair evolved out of a series of musical experiments hosted by vocalist/guitarist/songwriter Mark Kae as he was casting about for a new avenue of musical expression following the breakup of the band Screwtractor. Originally conceived as a fluid vehicle for his diverse artistic tastes and talents, Morticia’s Chair eventually coalesced into its current lineup, featuring Kae, drummer Michael J. Graehling who played with bands like Whatts Gnu, and The Bad Checks, and bassist Frank Prpic, also of Center for Rock Research and formerly with bands such as Nameless Desire, the Tools and ADM, in which he also played with Mark Kae. During the four years that Screwtractor was together, recording for MCA and touring the country with their powerful, dramatic music that blended metal, gothic and industrial influences, Kae was also developing a personal musical vision. When Screwtractor broke up in 1995, Kae started to work on that vision in his practice space, adding and subtracting other musicians based on their ability to relate what he was trying to do. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Stephanie Staples | Stephanie Staples has spent half her life captivating audiences with her rich, dynamic, and soothing voice. Passionate and expressive, Stephanie has the keen ability to connect with a wide variety of audiences. Her strong stage presence and down to earth nature enables her to communicate, entertain, and inspire. Stephanie has been involved in music ever since she was a little girl, first participating in musical theatre and studying vocal performance under the direction of three different vocal coaches. She began singing professionally at age thirteen, appearing at music festivals, conferences, churches and other venues. A gifted songwriter, Stephanie has recorded six self-produced albums. The first, Breathe on Me—an easy-listening acoustic album with soul-searching lyrics—was released in 2001 and again in 2003 to include two additional songs. Her second project, Face to Face was released in 2006, and Journey Home followed in 2007. Over the years, Stephanie has been privileged to work with (and learn from) some of the best musicians in the business, including Grammy Award-winning guitarist Bill Hatcher (Henry Mancini, Luciano Pavarotti), Mike Pachelli, and Ronnie Ciago. Hatcher has been a consistent contributor on all six of Stephanie’s projects, including her latest release, Interlude. Each of Stephanie’s albums has a unique sound but all portray the same quality: genuineness. Over the years many listeners have commented that her albums are “soothing” and “an experience.” This quality can’t be faked—Stephanie has faced the darkness, having passed through suffering and hard times, and she pours the full depth of her experiences into her music, taking the listener on a journey with her through the dark times—yet always in the presence of true peace and redemption. Sing Over Me (2010), is an eclectic album, with each song having a distinct flavor, prominently featuring Latin, organic, and classical elements along with creative percussion and strings (cello, violin, upright bass). This diversity of sound centers upon a single theme—that of learning to accept life’s uncertainties and discovering peace. In 2013 Stephanie released a Christmas record, Emmanuel. Stephanie has traveled across the United States and all the way to China to share her music. Her long list of credits include festivals, retreats, universities, schools (elementary, middle, and high schools), churches, conferences, campus ministries, multiple centers for disadvantaged youth/inner city ministries, military bases, and shelters for the homeless. She has performed before 20,000 at New Zealand’s Parachute Music Festival, joining Third Day’s Mac Powell for a powerful rendition of the duet, “God of Wonders,” has made many trips to Brooklyn, New York to minister at Teen Challenge, an organization founded by David Wilkerson to help the addicted, and has opened for a variety of artists including Third Day, Tammy Trent, Newsong, and Jaci Valasquez. Her passion to encourage and bring light and joy to people has been a motivating force in continuing her musical journey for over a decade. Stephanie currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband, Erik Rostad, daughter Scotlyn Naomi, and two fur children, Java and Edward. |
