Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Vienna Improvisers Orchestra | Vienna Improvisers Orchestra, Michael Fischer (4) | The Vienna Improvisers Orchestra works on absolutely ad hoc created instant compositions. The Vienna Improvisers Orchestra's praxis of Instant Composition Conducting is based on a hand-sign vocabulary, in continuity with Lawrence D. Butch Morris' method 'Conduction', and has been developed by the VIO's artistic director and instant composition conductor Michael Fischer including absolute ad hoc creation by the ensemble as well as the conductor, no prepared or agreed parts/designs, no rehearsals but only a short try-out of the hand-signs before the concert, Instant Compositions unfold within 35-50 minutes, each concert presents a new ensemble constellation and usually also at least one new musician. The VIO has been a guest at festivals such as the Moers Festival, Wien Modern, Artacts Festival, at the Klima Biennale Wien, the Porgy & Bess Vienna and spaces of the contemporary fine arts such as Künstlerhaus Wien, Belvedere21, Vienna Art Week Festival and others. The VIO was founded in 2004 by [a=Michael Fischer (4)], who is its instant composition conductor and artistic director since then. |

| Search | Add | 2 | Elastic Collision | Between the year 1999 and 2001, Frank Ashley, Jr. and Ken Moore started meeting on a weekly basis to record improvised sessions direct to disc. The entire set-up filled two rooms with only two synthesizers (a Minimoog and an Emax by Emu Systems) and a lot of percussion. There were cymbals, gongs, bells, hand drums, triangles, a glockenspiel, bar chimes, hanging wind chimes, singing bowls and bowls that were made to sing. Frank played the keyboards for these recordings, creating short sequences on the Emax and leads on the Moog, while Ken moved about from table to table, playing whatever instruments were speaking to him at the time. They called themselves Elastic Collision, and their first album was completely live; it was titled "Listening at the Speed of Sleep". After that sold well to friends, Anvil Creations produced one other album called "Visitors Welcome". On this one, Ken added some percussion tracks to all the sessions, and played the bass guitar on some of them. | |

In June 1917, when he filled in his Draft Card, he was a laborer in Providence, RI, working for the Gorham Manufacturing Co. At the same time, he already played the clarinet professionally. Sharing a reed with a fellow musician, however, he contracted tuberculosis. This forced him to relocate to the better air of California, where he found a second home among the many Armenian immigrants of Fresno. In 1927, Fresno's City Directory lists him at 942 Broadway under "Phonograph and Records - dealers". By 1928, he had turned to selling candy instead. In 1942, his employer was Palm Olive Cleaners. On the side, Takakjian stayed active in Fresno's music scene. In 1929, he recorded two songs for Columbia ion Los Angeles, accompanying his friend, the singer [a=Oscar Kevorkian]. Later, Kevorkian founded his own label, Kevorkian Record Company, which released around 30 titles that frequently featured the [a=M. Takakjian Orchestra]. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Johnny Bueno | Justin Grubb | Portland, Oregon producer Johnny Bueno wants to take you on a journey. Calling on an array of analog synthesizers, drum machines and a deep record collection, he weaves together a sonic collage that creatively updates the classic sounds of DJ Krush, DJ Shadow and Mo’ Wax Records. Starting off with just an ASR-X sampler and a deep record collection nearly 10 years ago, Johnny Bueno aka Justin Grubb began making music. His love of cinema, nature and theology, combined with broad musical influences, has resulted in style that balances emotive melodic elements with tough drum breaks and thick analog synth lines. Viewing the studio as an instrument, rather than just a place to make music, Johnny deftly manipulates every aspect of his compositions. Raised in Portland, Johnny moved around the US after high school seeking out new sounds and sources of inspiration. Those journeys, combined with a constantly expanding studio arsenal, are the foundation for his music. The Heart’s Blood, his debut album, flows through many different motifs that showcase his fluid production techniques. While this may just be his debut release, plan on seeing the name Johnny Bueno around for years to come. |
