Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | Aldo Finzi | Aldo Finzi was a italian composer, born in Milan on February 4, 1897. Because of his Jewish origin he and his family lived the growing anti semitism in Italy: from an annulled prize to his opera in 1937's La Scala Competition, to the effect of the anti-jewish laws introduced by the Mussolini's fascist government in 1938 ("Leggi Razziali", Racial Laws). During the Nazi occupation that followed, Finzi went into hiding, working anonymously, or under alias name, succeding to escape mass deportations in hair-raising ways. Described by one reviewer as “a nice dose of shapeshifting, complex art pop” (Brooklyn Vegan), the music of Toebow shimmers with fluttering distorted guitar lines, colorfully layered percussion and bass, tight vocal harmonies, lush synth lines, and the occasional drum machine to tie the gentle chaos neatly together. Wacky by nature but severe in execution, Toebow "artfully straddles the border between sincerity and goofiness” (ThrdCoast) yet their songs often confront the more stoic and somber realms of experience.

It was the joint of Asociación Musical “La Clásica” and Banda de Música “Patronato De Juventud Obrera”. Also Junior orquestra since 1982, string section and chorus section since 1995. |

Search | Add | 5 | Marco Burgatto | Marco Burgatto | Italian musician and composer, born 21 December 1975 in Milan, Italy. Marco's musical career evolved quite rapidly following an early, illuminating approach to guitar - his first-choice instrument - in a gone-by hot summer. After some years spent in steadily refining his playing skills, in 1997 he started his involvement as a session musician on four studio albums by rock group 'Loverwolf', culminating in a long series of live performances in clubs all around Italy. Already gained, by that time, a higher degree of guitar mastery, he made a decisive breakthrough towards new musical experiences by pushing into the background performing, and devoting himself to composing. Starting from 2001 on, he scored several works by directors Cristian Mazzola and Raffaele Piscitelli; in the meanwhile, he completed his first video clip, "Pioggia" (2002), which eventually resulted in the release of the homonym double concept album in 2003. Also in 2003, he released the mini CD "Dall’Inizio Alla Fine", including three short poems set to music using classical tunes, while, the following year, he found the right combination of time, inspiration and energies to complete his second full-length album, "Fantasmi". The growing importance of classical music in Marco's compositions led to the landmark release of the symphony "Giornata In Campagna" (2005) on Fridge Records, followed - that same year - by his third full-length album "L’Eroe Della Notte". But the time was ripe for more ambitious goals, which materialized with the release of his first rock opera, "Il Castello In Mezzo Al Mare" (2007), followed by the album "Il Canto Del Vento" (2008) - featuring prestigious guest performances by Angapiemage Persico, Stefano Tessadri, [a=Ubi Maior]'s rhythm section, 'The Real', and [a=Stefano Tamiazzo]. In the following couple of years, he brought to completion an out-and-out trilogy by releasing two more rock operas, "Il Rovescio Della Medaglia" (2009) and "La Sottile Linea" (2010). As a fringe activity - from 2003 to date - he's been creating commercial jingles, soundtracks and scores for several production studios and, more recently, for the online soundtrack and advertising music library "Unusual Library". Marco's later projects include the re-recording of "Giornata In Campagna" (2011) - with the support of a bunch of talented classical music performers -, and his new album "Epica" (2012), available for download from iTunes Store and other online digital music stores. |

Search | Add | 5 | José Moriche | José Fernández De Alba | José Moriche was a Spanish singer born on August 31, 1890 in Burguillos del Cerro (Badajoz), Spain. José Moriche made his debut at the Teatro Real in Madrid in 1918, obtaining a resounding success with “El Barbero de Sevilla”. José Rabanal Santander affirms that Moriche lived in Barcelona, from where we suppose he would travel to his hometown and Badajoz. He soon formed an opera company and embarked for Cuba where apparently things should not have gone very well. It is at that moment when he decides to sing alone or in a duet, obtaining a resounding success that forces him to travel throughout the southern cone, recording for the best record companies. He performed in Mexico and Cuba, and then in New York where he is called upon to record popular songs. In 1923 he began recordings in the company of the Colombian Víctor Justiniano Rosales, for the Gennett label, then he made duets from 1925 with Antonio Utrera, Margarita Cueto, Arturo Patiño, Juan Pulido, Rodolfo Hoyos, Pilar Arcos, and Laura Magaña among others. Moriche recorded on labels such as Victor, Brunswick and Columbia. One of the most famous duos was the one formed with Guty Cárdenas. In the last years of his life, Moriche set up a restaurant on Long Island, and there he used to perform romances, operatic arias, and heartfelt folk songs while serving the clientele. Moriche's fame was so great that he was selected to accompany Carlos Gardel in the movie “El Tango en Broadway” as an actor, with a prominent role. José Moriche became a kind of myth. All attempts to know how the days of that tenor ended have been useless. |

Search | Add | 5 | Fabrizio Cacciamali | Fabrizio is an experimental electronic sound artist based in Milano, Italy. He has spent half his life focusing his attention on the whole spectrum of electronic music, through the finest labels and the most exquisite artists, and ranging widely from IDM to field recordings. A true sound fetishist, his output is now based on the idea of representing abstract and complex sonic structures and textures. He uses an unending array of sources, including layerying of clicks and drones, dense tones sculptures, glitch-inspired rhythms, simple and melancholic melodies, intricate found sound-patterns and ultra-detailed textures to create a strange world of lush atmospheres and synaptic panoramas that is entirely his own. Continuing to explore and experiment like a sonic visionary, he has developed his own visceral way to craft these captivating and introspective abstractions. This is a brain focused 24/7 on the audial aspects of life.

Search | Add | 5 | Thorn Apple | Thorn Apple is a group of musicians who get together to create down-tempo / trip-hop / ambient music with personal and emotional lyrics. The project started in the winter of 2000. The result was stirring the embers - a collection of covers originally by Eurythmics, Gary Numan, Foo Fighters, Roxy Music, The The, Cyndi Lauper and more. 2001 yielded an ambitious collaboration with more than a dozen artists. Crystalline combined the talents of Axoe, Bloodwire, Dia, Fonta Hadley, Halou, Peter Harrison, Hungry Lucy, and Andrew Lindsay into a cohesive and extremely moving collection. 2002 was the most abitious project yet: gradient is a 2 volume adventure through many seemingly diverse and contradictory styles, but somehow, it all works! The artists who participated in the previous years were accompanied by Astral, Charlotte Brewster, Brad Clark, Chris Gill, Shannon Moe, Trigger10d, Shannon Whitley, ZnF, and a chihuahua named DoeDoe.

In 2016, she was introduced to Balázs Zságer of Žagar, and she started assisting the band with handling administrative tasks. When Zságer founded Move Gently Records, she joined the company. She writes her songs in her own home studio. |

Search | Add | 5 | Nick Jainschigg | Nick Jainschigg was born in New York City and grew up near the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the American Museum of Natural History. The two influences of art and natural science have been with him ever since. After graduating with a BFA in illustration, he pursued a career in science fiction and fantasy illustration, producing hundreds of covers and interiors for most of the major (and many minor) publishers. He discovered the computer as a means of expression in the late 1990s and hasn’t had a decent night’s sleep since. In addition to teaching at RISD, Jainschigg continues to work on animations, interactive illustration and painting in oils. Jainschigg’s work has been featured in or written about in publications from Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Ballantine Books, PBS Interactive, The New York Times, Wizards of the Coast, Tor Books, Scholastic Inc., MacMillan Publishing, Domino Magazine, Paramount and Viacom. His digital paleontological reconstructions have been featured on the Discovery Channel and at the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Maastricht Natural History Museum and the University of California Museum of Paleontology. His diorama and mural work are on display at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center in Mashantucket, Connecticut, and Dinosaur State Park in Rocky Hill, Connecticut.

Search | Add | 5 | Bruce Munro | British artist Bruce Munro is best known for immersive large-scale light-based installations inspired largely by his interest in shared human experience. Recording ideas and images in sketchbooks has been his practice for over 30 years. By this means he has captured his responses to stimuli such as music, literature, science, and the world around him for reference, reflection, and subject matter. This tendency has been combined with a liking for components and an inventive urge for reuse, coupled with career training in manufacture of light. As a result Munro produces both monumental temporary experiential artworks as well as intimate story-pieces.

Search | Add | 5 | Zainab Majid | Zainab Majid, was born in 1936 from a pakistani parentage. She was a student of Raffles Girls' School and was a nurse at the School Health Institute. In the mid 1950s, Zainab had participated in a local talentime and had won the first placing. Zainab who was capable in singing English and malay songs was also an expert in hindustani and tamil songs. She was then offered to make a recording to sing malay songs with the hindustani beat which was very popular in the 1950s. During the recordings, Zainab was accompanied by Ahmad Jaafar Orchestra and Ahmad Wan Yet Orchestra on different recording dates. Most of the songs that were recorded were mainly cover songs from the popular hindi films. It was believed that the lyrics were mostly written by the singer S.Hamid. Among her popular songs were Kau Dihatiku, Kechantikan and Kita Bersama. Zainab also sang duet with Razak Majid in songs such as Alam Impian and Penggoda Hati. Beside singging hindustani beat, Zainab also did a Rock n' Roll tune which called Siapa Dia. Soon she became the competitor with established singer like R.Azmi who was famous in singing the same genre. Competition was seen when both sang the same song called Sampaikan Salam. In the early 1960s, Zainab had joined the all chinese girls band called The Blue Belles. The group which was formed in 1959, decided to have another singer into the band. Zainab Majid will always be remembered of her part in contributing malay songs in hindustani tune in the mid 1950s.
