Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | William S. Walker | William Stearns Walker | Composer-arranger William "Bill" Stearns Walker (b. 1917 in River Forest, Illinois, USA d. March 27, 1994 in River Forest, Illinois, USA) wrote the music and produced the soundtrack for thousands of radio and television jingles and commercials. Among the products his music promoted were A&W root beer, Wrigley chewing gum, Green Giant vegetables, Sunbeam appliances and Chevrolet cars. Mr. Walker graduated from Oak Park-River Forest High School and Amherst College. He served in the Pacific during World War II. While studying at the Chicago Conservatory of Music from 1945 to 1948, he was a pianist-arranger for the [a=Wayne King] and [a=Ted Weems] Orchestras. He was staff pianist for WGN from 1950 to 1954 and later played with his own band at the Ambassador East's Pump Room. Walker has written the words and music for over fifty published pop and country songs, some of which have been recorded by [a=Peggy Lee], [a=Johnny Desmond], [a=Gordon MacRae], [a=Dean Martin] and [a=Homer And Jethro]. He founded Bill Walker Musical Productions in 1953. In 1953, he started his own company. Bill Walker Musical Productions, Inc. He composed and/or arranged the music, and, in some cases, the lyrics, for over 1,000 soundtracks for radio and television commercials, industrial, documentary and feature films. The commercials have been for Chevrolet, Plymouth, Dodge, Mercury, Oldsmobile, and Ford of Canada as well as many well-known products in fields such as cosmetics, beers, cigarettes, airlines, and household goods. Walker wrote the music for 12 national award-winning commercials and films and won the Grand Prix de la Television in Venice, Italy for the best spot in thf world for that year. The product was Chevrolet. He composed, arranged and produced all the music for the award-winning [l=Bergstrom Paper] Company album, [r=2390117], in which he converted the rhythms of printing presses to music. The album is now a collector's item. Walker composed, arranged and produced all the music for the feature film, Little Laura and Big John, starring [a=Karen Black] and [a=Fabian Forte]. Walker also composed a musical setting for "The Gettysburg Address" and a symphonic fantasy, "Return to Shenandoah," both of which were recorded by baritone [a=Sherrill Milnes]. In the mid-1950s, Mr. Walker purchased and moved into one of the most famous and beautiful of the Frank Lloyd Wright homes, the 1893 Winslow House in River Forest. There have only been five owners in its 120 year-old history. A note signed by Wright is in the Walker family library, simply stating to Bill Walker, "Take good care of it." Peter Walker, who is handling the estate for his family said his mother kept the home in pristine condition up until her death earlier this year, and preserving its history and character has been a great source of pride for his family. Peter Walker, Bill Walker's son, was quoted as saying, “My father loved Frank Lloyd Wright and wanted to own one of his houses. My mother June, a war bride from Australia, took meticulous care of the house.” June S. Walker, Bill's wife, died on April 12, 2013. |

Search | Add | 5 | Budweisers | A band from Turón (Asturies) very influenced by the Ramones sound. With just one EP released on No Tomorrow Records in 1998, The Budweisers from Asturias (Spain) were a very short-lived band (wrongly considered a parallel act of The Feedbacks, with whom they shared 2 band members) but have however remained favorites among the 90’s punkpop lovers crew. Fast forward 20 years and they’re back as if only 5 minutes had passed, delivering a second EP that sounds just as if it had been recorded a week after their now classic “My Girlfriend’s A Bonehead”. 4 solid gold melodic punkrock tracks just as perfect and sticky as you might wish.

Search | Add | 5 | Mc Ap | Alfredo Urbina Basulto | Mc Ap (Mc Aztekpride) was born in Mexico City in May of 1988. He has loved music all of his life. Giving support and experience, his father showed him different kinds of music and at the age of 13, Mc Ap began writing. His introduction to hip-hop was break dancing, graffitti, DJ'ing, and eventually MC'ing. His first album "Destructive Force," was an introduction of horrorcore rap to Mexico. It became a huge success. There weren't many horrorcore rappers in Mexico, but because of his interest in the sub-genre that differs from many, he stuck with it... adding his own twist, of course. Next, the album "Brutal Kingdom" was released with a pure horrorcore approach. |

Search | Add | 5 | The Rockit King | The Rockit King. A band apart. Whatever preconceptions you have about Rock 'N' Roll music, forget them and believe instead in Truth Will Set You Free, the latest offering from this lean, mean group of Michiganders. Truth Will Set You Free, the band's third studio album, takes the listener on a journey with twists and turns varying wide from Blues to Country with plenty of straight ahead Rock. "It covers a lot of ground musically” states drummer Kenny Roberts. "We made the album in batches and in different locations in an effort to really mix things up." "We began with the intention of this album being the best thing we've ever done" explains bassist Dan Cox, "It had to be." The album took shape over multiple writing and recording sessions all taking place over several years. "We played gigs throughout the writing and much of the recording process" says frontman Jessie Beveridge, "The approach took a bit longer than expected but we think the material and the performances speak for themselves." Lyrically the album seems loosely themed around getting unstuck from a rut, a subject close to Beveridge's heart. "Hard times lead to real words, sometimes heavy, sometimes really uplifting, but always close to home." The Rockit King also appear to be keen studies of all things blues with tracks like the eponymous 'The Truth Will Set You Free'. "You don't have a Rockit King album without the blues," says Beveridge "and don't forget the shuffle. It's part of our DNA." "A lot of thought went into sounds and drum parts, especially the kick drum." said Roberts. "We saw that as the foundation of the whole thing.” adds Beveridge "Down and dirty, four on the floor Rock 'N' Roll." Thirteen years in and with the release of Truth Will Set You Free, The Rockit King seem to be finding their stride...in spades.....

Search | Add | 5 | Thildo Gama | Thildo dos Santos Gama | Thildo Gama (Salvador, June 5, 1945 - Salvador, December 8, 2011) was a Brazilian musician, artist, teacher and auditor. He was the first guitarist of [a=Raul Seixas] and one of the pioneers of the Bahian rock. In addition to being a musician, he was also a fiscal auditor of the Bahia State Treasury Department, a university professor and, more recently, became a clown, creating the characters "Zig Zig Zaa" and "Tô de Boa". Thildo began playing with his friend Raul in his teens and were two of the first rockers of Salvador, still in the 1950s. In 1962, they formed the group Relâmpagos Do Rock, along with Enelmar Chagas. The band quickly became popular in Salvador. Shortly thereafter, Chagas leaves the group and is replaced by Thildo's brother, Délcio Gama. Still in 1962, Os Relâmpagos Do Rock appear on TV Itapoan. The recording of this presentation is in the album O Baú Do Raul (1992). According to the magazine A Bahia, the band Os Relâmpagos Do Rock was the best set of rock of all the state. With the success, the group grew and was renamed The Panthers, now counting with [a=Mariano Lanat], [a=Carleba] and Carlô (neighbor of Raul, who stayed in the band until 1964), besides Raul Seixas and Thildo. Thildo left the group in 1967, not being present in Raul Seixas' first album, "Raulzito E Os Panteras", in 1967. He also participated in other bands such as Thildo E Seu Bossas E Os Jovens, and released the compact Thildo Gama E Os Terríveis by the Astor, in 1967. This compact had on side A, the song 'Bonequinha', version of Waldir Serrão for 'Pretty Woman', of [a=Roy Orbison]; On the B side there was 'Você É Inspiração' (Jeff Cezar and Thildo Gama), both songs came with the name surf, considered the first recording of a Bahian artist to designate his production within the subgenre surf music. In the 80's Thildo also participated in a group folkloric group from Bahia, making presentations in Italy and Chile. Thildo was always present in the musical scene of Salvador: he played in bands, performed several shows and recorded independent albums. In 2002, together with the auditor also fiscal Francisco Benjamin, formed the pair Beja & Gama that touched in dancing shows. In 2009, Gama performed at the Virada Cultural de São Paulo with Os Panteras, at which time they played the first Seixas album in its entirety. He died of a brain cancer, is buried in the Bosque da Paz cemetery in Salvador. |

Search | Add | 5 | Jack Pennington's Variety Gang | Jack Pennington was a fiddler from Alabama who settled in Memphis in the 1930s. In the early 40s took over the band of Hal Byrnes, and although they never recorded commercially, they did make quite a few transcriptions. They perform a mixture of western songs, western swing, sentimental songs and gospel, most of it sung in excellent three part harmony by Pennington, guitarist Sonny Haley, and bassist Lonnie Love. The group is rounded out by steel guitarist Johnny Sorrels. Tight harmony singing and virtuoso musicianship (mainly fiddle, guitar, steel) from this Memphis-based group, mix of country, western, folk, all from transcription discs cut for Lang-Worth in the 1940s. Also called Jack Pennington and The Garrett's Snuff Variety Gang.

Search | Add | 5 | Psy Goose | Rafael Marques | Psychedelic trance / FullOn Night DJ producer based in Viseu, Portugal Born 18th september 1991, his connection to music began very early specially with electronic music thanks to his uncle that was a deejay. The most psychedelic sounds were the ones he liked more. After a friend listened to one of his mixes he started to become encouraged. A couple of years later his passion for psychedelic music just pumped up and he started to dedicate himself to this way of life. Because he liked trance so much he just learned alone the deejaying art and, then he started to mix live. Nowdays his main references are: Brainwash, X-avenger, Conscious Chaos, X-side, Stereopanic, Frozen Ghost, Critical Mass, Tantrum and so on…We may say that PsyGoose is extremely electric and has his own style. His sets are very rhythmic. Hot grooves, nice taste and loads of energy. Always improving! |
