Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Born in Tanga, Tanzania in 1950 ( the exact date is unknown but George usually stated February 22nd). He and his brother joined [a1969311] in Tanga in 1966. In 1970/1971 the brothers moved to Arusha, Tanzania, and formed [a4223221] (with their brother [a6986145] and others). Late in 1971 the band relocated to Kenya and changed their name to [a1379606]. He stayed with the group when most of the members left to form [a3599429] but then in 1980, disagreements with his brother led to George leaving and starting his own band [a2672920] (named after a 1970s dance rhythm). The split proved short-lived and George rejoined [a1379606] within a year. George did, however, keep the "Orchestre Jobiso" name to record his own songs outside of the main group. He died of tuberculosis on December 24th 1992 in Nairobi, Kenya, aged 42.

| Search | Add | 8 | The Knowe O'Deil Band | The Knowe O'Deil Band hail from Orkney. its members had been playing for many years in ub sessions in and around Orkney before forming the group more than 10 years ago. Since this time the band has seen many talented Orcadian members come and go. There is a good tradition of music in Orkney, although there seem to be more tunes than songs. Very little of it has been heard outside Orkneny itself. There is an Orkney folk festival every year, held in the town of Stromness in May, and occasionally ceilidhs are held throughout the county. All members of the band are self taught Most of the tunes are Orcadian tradition, some of them are from famous native fiddlers. Remarkably enough, this is the first revivalist LP of folk music on the Orkneys. | |

| Search | Add | 8 | Axlubi-X | Axlubi-X is a opened crew and music band originally from A Coruña (nordwest Spain), from the borough of Agra del Orzán. They met up firstly back to 2009, in improvised music jams in a social center of the barrio. every day, along two months, they met evenings together with other musicians and artists to djing and rapping. After that, Saco and Papis Diao made official band Axlubi-X and very soon they gave their first shows. Axlubi-X stands for a opened and spontan community. Axlubi its a word in Dakar which refers a place in the streets of this city where people come and go, often before don't know each one, play something and have smalltalks. "X" means anonymous, nobody is relevant in the band. There are official members, but no one is fixed. "X" it's also in the name because is the letter which always begins the ID card of immigrants in Spain. It's such a mark with the spanish state classifies people in groups for his use and values. Since 2011 they record professionally their tracks with their own mediums and knowledge, in different places which build up together "Axlubi Studios". In 2012, Niggaché and Omar Master joined the crew officially, not as newcomers, actually as a comeback because they were also in the origins of the band, they participated too. Axlubi-X existence it's quiet complex, because each member comes of a different country in the world, they just came together on a point, but they are constantly on the road because life experiences. And they are also in different lifetimes, different ages, that's makes the teamwork also special. But this all mixes up a band with different faces, styles and tastes where each life experience has a strong effect in the band. It's Axlubi-X. Nobody seems to be relevant, the crew it's what you see, but you can't understand them without to watch out to the members under this name. As the society, people it's treated as zero many times, forgotten in an anonymous life where nobody cares about the other, but there is a chance to work together, make something special for you and then bring something out to be free, to be one and to be yourself. | |

The material generated is often of volatile nature and consequently subjected to strict live processing techniques. Adam Asnan is a London based composer-performer of Musique Concrète, who's work promotes the aesthetic potential of fixed (recorded), amplified sound, and the instabilities of a medium; the auditory 'image' subject to intervention, disruption and disintegration. Louie Rice works with electronic and acoustic systems utilising the physicality of the medium, signal chain and spatial context to create disruptive audio material with a tendency towards a cold reductive aesthetic.

| Search | Add | 8 | Jon Alkalay | Growing up in Brazil and later moving to Austin, TX, exposed me to so many different influences.... but it all started at home, my dad was a classical music aficionado and wonderful baritone and my mom, who immigrated from Portugal, continues singing Fados beautifully. Besides these huge influences, I grew up listening to different Latin, American and European pop, rock and EDM, which is all reflected in the music I make. But my main inspiration are the 80s synthpop bands such as Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, Erasure, Duran Duran... I moved to the US in 2000 in the midst of the music industry collapsing due to all piracy and internet, which ended up forcing me to take a new direction in life. Starting as a female-fronted band, the band released its first full-lenght record Last Poem in 2013. Leaning towards modern hard rock sound with focus on melodic vocal lines and catchy choruses the band promoted the album on various gigs around their homeland. | Search | Add | 8 | John William Burrows | John William Burrows was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He loved the piano and took to playing before he was school-age, around the age of four. His mother was a pianist and recognized the talent of her young son, nurturing that talent all the way through John's high school years. John Burrows served his country during the Korean conflict. He was not shipped to Korea but instead was sent to post World War Two Germany where he served as a chaplain's assistant. While serving, he had the opportunity to apply his musical skills, and began to explore the keyboard. Returning stateside, he was accepted at the Crane School of Music at Potsdam, New York. As an applied piano student of James Ball, John received the coveted Senior Recital Award with graduation. A career of teaching music in public schools in the state of New York was followed by a period of self exploration and travel abroad and across the United States and Canada. A romantic man, John Burrows loved the music of the great European composers of the 19th century Romantic period. One of his favorite journeys was tracing the life of Chopin. John prided himself on his athletic ability and well as his dedication to his beloved instrument. His daily routine included long distance running, tennis, golf, ice hockey, hiking or skiing. This was always preceded by two hours of practice that included his favorite Russian exercises and running scales and arpeggios up and down the keyboard. Afternoons and evenings, Mr. Burrows was back at the piano, either performing or working out his pieces. Mr. Burrows passed away in November of 2012. | |
