Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Una guitarra que compartían fue su juguete preferido durante la larga posguerra y ahí comenzó todo. El nombre que eligieron tenía algo del nombre de los tres. Carmen y Ricardo aportaron las primeras sílabas de sus nombres y Joaquín –Quino– la última del suyo. Habían nacido en Huesca y comenzaron actuando en fiestas populares. Su debut serio fue en Zaragoza en 1959. Enseguida quedó claro que no eran un grupo de aficionados más sino un trío con una preparación profesional de primera categoría. Y muy pronto pasaron de Aragón a Madrid para actuar primero en Villa Rosa y unas semanas después en el Pasapoga, la principal sala de fiestas de la capital, que ocupaba los bajos del cine Avenida, en plena Gran Vía. A principios de 1960 aparece su primer disco: «Paseando con Papá / María Elena / Me Equivoqué / Un Amor Chiquitín» (Philips, 1960). Demuestran un estilo vocal doo wop impecable y un sentido del swing inusitado por estos pagos en los que otras agrupaciones similares como Los 3 de Castilla aún flirteaban con la canción hispanoamericana y la copla. La primera canción del disco enseguida comienza a hacerse popular en las ondas de radio y es un claro ejemplo del desenfado y elegancia del trío. Muchísimos años después serviría como banda sonora de «El Milagro de P. Tinto» (Jorge Fresser, 1998). Tras unas actuaciones en Portugal y Francia, regresan para grabar su segundo extended play: «Salió el Tren / Tres Jinetes / Comunicando / Mr. Wonderful» (Philips, 1960). La primera de las canciones es una composición del hermano mayor, Ricardo Solanes. Este disco funciona peor en el mercado, pero al trío no le falta el trabajo y su modernidad es requerida por toda la península. A principios de 1961 se les ofrece la oportunidad de hacer algunas actuaciones en Grecia y Turquía. Regresan unos meses después para ofrecer nuevas actuaciones en Madrid y para convertirse en profetas en su tierra en unas multitudinarias actuaciones en su Huesca natal. Regresan a Oriente y se establecen en principio en Líbano, que en aquellos años era considerado el país más desarrollado de Oriente. Pasarán una estancia de casi dos años. Actuarán en Beirut, Bagdad, Damasco, Estambul, Ankara, Jerusalén, Amman, Nicosia y Teherán. Harán por allí bastante televisión y mucho cabaret. Llegan a actuar en varias ocasiones en fiestas organizadas en los palacios del sha de Persia y del rey Hussein de Jordania. Hasta 1963 no volverán a la patria. Para entonces son ya un grupo de calidad superior a la mayoría de sus contemporáneos españoles. Sus evidentes progresos musicales se hacen patentes en el EP «Uno Para Todas» (Philips, 1963), que era la versión española de la canción triunfadora en San Remo y, por tanto, representante italiana en Eurovisión. Pero será su siguiente disco, «A la Playa Vas» (Philips, 1963), el que marcará su cénit. Un excelente disco con un trabajo vocal estupendo que hace palidecer a grupos vocales españoles de su época, como Los Brujos. Participan a finales de año en el «Festival de Madrid» (Philips, 1963), obteniendo el segundo premio con el tema de Augusto Algueró «Con permiso de papá«. Esta canción fue luego cantada por Pili y Mili en su película «Como Dos Gotas de Agua» (Luis César Amadori, 1964). Los 3 Carino continuaron actuando por España hasta 1965, año en el que deciden marcharse definitivamente a Jordania, donde eran unos verdaderos ídolos, sin que volvieran a hacer nuevas grabaciones en España. Las pocas canciones que nos han llegado con cuentagotas de este remoto grupo nos muestran unos arreglos sofisticados dentro de la música ligera que transmiten alegría desde las primeras notas. Un trio eminentemente vocal que se movía muy a gusto en los parámetros del doo wop norteamericano, pero con un repertorio que debía mucho a la música italiana que desde San Remo marcaba el paso musical a toda Europa. Y todo ello sin perder en sus letras un cierto afán de crónica española de época. | |

Loewenstern. His family included brother Morris Loewenstern and sister Julia Loewenstern Glick. They moved to Amarillo, Texas in 1929. Hugo was given his first saxophone at the age of six. A child prodigy on sax and clarinet, he won first honors in national competitions and at age 9 was featured in Ripley’s Believe It Or Not for memorizing 76 classical compositions. An Amarillo High School graduate, he trained at the Eastman School of Music. Hugo toured extensively with the famous big bands of Jack Teagarden, Harry James, Tommy Dorsey and Sonny Burke appearing as a soloist, on the Burke Orchestra’s recording of Ella Fitzgerald 1951. In between gigs, he returned to Amarillo to lead his own band at the Nat, the Avalon, and the Aviatrix. He married Mary Lou Parr in 1951. Years before as a teenager, she’d danced to the music of the bandleader on stage who would later become her future husband of sixty-five years. Eventually settling in Amarillo, Hugo joined his father and brother in the family business, Hugo H Loewenstern Real Estate Co. In 1943, Hugo joined the armed services and was in the Air Force Band, then later transferred to the Infantry until his discharge in 1946. He volunteered his band to the community, including the Lake Tanglewood (Amarillo, Texas) 4th of July celebrations, and nursing homes with singer wife Mary Lou. His professional career saw a solo album for Capitol Records, Who Said Good Music Is Dead, with the late composer Johnny Richards, who wrote original pieces for Hugo including The Magic of Arabis, which he performed as guest artist with the Amarillo Symphony in 1966. He continued musical associations with trumpeter, Doc Severinsen, Laurindo Almeida and others. Amarillo saw performances with friends and family in a newly formed jazz group. He was a founding member of the Amarillo Woodwind Quintet. The recording Music for Art, features songs by daughter, Tara Hugo and album sleeve artwork by Mary Lou. In 2001, KACV public television (Amarillo, Texas) produced the documentary "That Alto Man" celebrating his life and career. |

After the end of the war, membership increased and the Choir made rapid progress in fulfilling BBC radio engagements, competing at Eisteddfodau and giving public concerts. Successful European Tours followed and on, and on one occasion a concert was held in the British Embassy Paris, Newport being the first choir to achieve this Honour. On several occasions we performed at The Royal Albert Hall as part of the “1000 Voice Choir”. We performed during the UK visit of the Japanese Emperor at Cardiff Castle and, with the arrival of the 2nd Millennium, have seen successful tours to Canada and Germany and together with other members of the Welsh Association Of Male Voice Choirs, performed with many world renowned soloists at Remembrance and Commemorative Services at Cardiff Castle’s Coopers Fields, St David’s Hall and Oxfords Sheldonian Theatre. Right up to date with a Concert at St David’s Hall, with eleven other choirs, singing to a packed house where the beneficiaries of that particular concert were the SADS Charity (Sudden Adult Death Syndrome). |

At 17, she began singing with various groups in and around Milwaukee; she went on a country-wide tour with the Tommy Reed Band, a group out of Chicago. After the tour, she returned to Milwaukee, she sang in clubs around Wisconsin for a while, changing her name to Patricia Scot. She moved to Chicago, and one of her first breaks came when acclaimed tenor saxophonist [a262140] invited her to sing with his band in Toronto. Soon after this, Patricia signed her first recording contract with [l627117], and later with [l8511]. She also sang at a popular jazz club called the Steamliner, which was known for it's guest artists who included Bill Evans, on leave from the army on weekends, and Anita O'Day. Scot was approached by CBS Talent Director [a5306092] to join WBBM, where she sang on a morning radio show for several months. This led to her five-year stint with the hit TV show "In Town Tonight". TV Guide awarded Scot "Best Female Singer" for 1955. In 1957, she met and married Mike Nichols, moving to New York City. It was while in NY she met [a97480] which led to the recording of her album [m1033126]. Pat continued on the hotel and club circuit until 1970, when she put the music scene on the backburner after meeting and marrying, hotel manager Jim Dickerson. They were invited to a White House party hosted by President Nixon. Pat spent the next 20-years working in the Banking industry, and on her retirement fell into piano tuning when she was unable to get a tuner for her piano. Since then she has tuned pianos professionally, and following the death of her husband, in 1997, decided to get back into performing. In 1999 she met Trumpeter Jack Yorton and together they formed a quartet, "Prime Time", they married in 2000 and continued to play in the Central Florida region until 2008 including a brief stint with a local big band "The Golden Era", based in Sebring, FL. |

He started out as a carpenter and performed at the beginning of his career as the unicycle-riding peasant comedian Skånska Nisse. He joined the choir at the Hippodromteatern in Malmö in 1938, was engaged at the Malmö City Theatre from 1944 to 1950, and in 1952 formed his own traveling revue company, which he toured with until 1978. Several of his revue numbers are documented on gramophone records and are still played on the radio. One of the best-known Ahlroth numbers is the couplet Skall skall icke skall. A recurring character in Ahlroth's revues was the cunning soldier Frisk. A confusion sketch and a lady imitation performed by Ahlroth himself were also among the obligatory features. During a period in the 1980s, Ahlroth was engaged at the Sagoteatern in Sölvesborg. He became popular for his role as a property manager in the TV series N.P. Möller, property manager, which was broadcast in several episodes from 1972 to 1980. For that role, he received the Expressen newspaper's award for best TV actor in 1973. Ahlroth also made several film roles, including as an impoverished tenant in [a552058]'s Den enfaldige mördaren in 1982. He made his last appearance in a New Year's revue together with Swedish actor, comedian and revue artist, [a7693334] in Kristianstad in 1990. |
