Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 8 | Israel Sardiñas | Wilfredo Israel Sardiñas Domínguez | Birth: Oct. 16, 1949,Alturas de Canasí Death: Jul. 2, 2006,Miami Born in Alturas de Canasí (a town located halfway between Havana and Matanzas) and raised in the Cuban capital, the vocalist/bassist/arranger/composer Wilfredo Israel Sardiñas Domínguez initiated his professional career in 1975, playing bass with a group led by pianist Meme Solas, who must be credited for discovering Israel's diverse vocal qualities, including his powerful timbre, passionate delivery, stylistic versatility, and amazing improvisational skills. Israel Sardiñas joined Los Van Van in 1980. During his three years with Van Van he sang hits such as "Seis Semanas", "Vine a Verte", "Hoy Que Quieres de Mi". In 1983 he left the band during a tour of Mexico and later he moved to Miami. He was replaced in Los Van van by Mayito El Flaco who was then replaced by Mayito Rivera. It is clear that Formell was looking for singers with a similar timer and syle to fill the void left by Israel Sardiñas's departure. It is also interesting to note that César "Pupy" Pedroso hired Pepito Gómez who interpreted "Seis semanas" for Los Que Son Son and has the same type of brilliant timbre as Israel Sardiñas Influenced by Benny Moré, Raúl Planas and other Cuban legends, Israel paid his dues with Los Reyes '73 (a popular Van Van spin-off), Iresón, Neosón and other … Mr. Israel Sardiñas was regarded as one of the best soneros (a singer of the Cuban musical style known as son) of recent decades. "When he came on the scene [in the late '70s], other singers copied him," said influential Latin bandleader Juan Pablo Torres in a 1997 … He changed his name to Israel Kantor in 1984 in New York City, on the suggestion of Puerto Rican musician Johnny Pacheco. The atmosphere of Miami in the 1980's was not receptive to modern Cuban music preferring salsa romantica or "salsa nostalgica" such as covers of Benny More and Arsenio Rodríguez. Israel Sardiñas's attempts to create a new music style were not successful but he did find success singing traditional Cuban music with his voz de sonero. In 2003 Israel Sardiñas became a member of The Tropicana All Star Orchestra, which was nominated for two Latin Grammy Awards and two Grammy Awards for their albums "Recuerda a Benny More" and "Tradicion". a tribute to Benny Moré and other traditional songs. The band was very successful with it's show that included dancers á la tropicana. Israel Sardiñas was one of very few modern singers truly capable of interpreting Benny Moré with an authentic sonero flavor. Israel Sardiñas also performed with Fania and the legend says that it was Hector Lavoe that gave him the nickname "El Cantor" which he then took to be his artist name "Kantor". Group:Tropicana All Stars, Los Van Van, Los Yakos,Conjunto Rumbavana,NeoSon Cause of Death: Cancer: MIAMI (AP) - Israel Sardiñas, the Cuban musician who was part of the Grammy-winning Tropicana All Stars orchestra, died Saturday of cancer, his publicist said Sunday. He was 56. Israel Sardiñas died at his southwest Miami home, according to a statement from publicist F & F Media Corp. |

| Search | Add | 8 | Schlangengeist | Matt Bonk | One-man experimental industrial black metal / symphonic project created by Noise Nazi originally in 2017. Originally the demo "Nocturnal Feast" was recorded in summer of 2017. It featured nothing but electronic noise & dark ambiance with an emphasis on distorted & tortured vocal FX. "Immortal Beast" was recorded in 2018 & went toward a more conventional black metal style. Both demos were shelved & unknown to the public until a re-release of "Nocturnal Feast" was featured on Narkotik Analog Recordings in 2021. Since then, Schlangengeist has made a total of 3 demos, 1 rehearsal, a compilation tape & 1 split. The project went on to mix industrial, noise & power electronics with simplistic bass, guitar riffs & synth melodies. Forming "black metal" in a much more unconventional sense, with elements of grindcore, death metal, war metal & more. This project does not care about 'talent'. |

| Search | Add | 8 | Just Another Girl | Tony Pooley | Formed in the early 90's in Slough, Berkshire, UK, by Tony Pooley (vocals and guitar), with Jane Wilson(Bass guitar). Mark Francis programmed the drum machine which was used live. The JAG's played regularly round the Slough/Reading/Windsor area, occasionally venturing in to London for gigs at the Rock Garden and the Swan, in Fulham amongst others, using film samples between songs for which they became known. The band eventually recruited Steve Wilson from The God's of Chaos on lead guitar and Julian Turner Bell from Slough band Space Junk on drums and went out as a "conventional" band. Life took it's toll on this version of the band and they broke up after recording the "T" album, which featured Martin Kennedy of Paradise Alley standing in on bass guitar. The band went into hibernation until Tony returned with the 360 Degrees of Sky EP in 2009. |

| Search | Add | 8 | Snakeye | Canadian rock band from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Formed in August 1971, the band was originally a collection of members from the area's four top groups. The group eventually signed a management agreement with H.P. & Bell (who also represented Canadian rock band Lighthouse) and inked a recording deal with United Artists. In the summer of 1972, Snakeye made their first trip to Ontario to begin an extensive tour that saw the band play universities and high schools along with lounge dates in Toronto and Montreal. Their first single, "Blue Feeling", was released in the spring of 1973. It reached No. 51 on the RPM 100 Singles Chart. They returned to Toronto to play with A Foot In Cold Water and April Wine before they headed back to the Maritimes to open for Blood, Sweat & Tears for four East Coast dates. In 1974, Snakeye toured with Ocean and The Bells and were preparing for the release of their first album. However, with the demise of Lighthouse, H.P. & Bell didn't seem as inviting to the band and they looked elsewhere for management and recording deals. In early 1975, the band released their first album, "Blue Feelin'", shortly after bassist Steve Russell joined the group. They would tour all over Ontario and ended the trip on a Maritime tour with April Wine to close out the year. In 1976, Snakeye was re-organized and began a new tour with Abraham's Children and Fludd. A year later, thinking the only way to make it in the music industry, the group moved to Toronto and proceeded to play every club and lounge before moving to Quebec in early 1978. After eight months and a new demo, the band returned to the Maritimes and continued to tour and communicate with various record labels. By early 1979, they laid the foundations of their own record label, production and publishing companies before renewing their affiliation with H.P. & Bell. By March 1979, Snakeye entered Dartmouth's Solar Studios and completed an album's worth of material by September, with band leader/vocalist/drummer Allard Barkhouse handling all production duties. The first single from the album, "Here I Go Again", was released in December 1979. The album, "Shape Up Or Ship Out", came out a month later, in January 1980. They also released "Reaching Out" as a single. | |

Christallen started out as a pure song group but over the years the music developed and the blues section took on a more prominent role. In this way, you created your own profile. Lennart Sjöholm, who was a foreground figure within the group, composed his own songs and lyrics and arranged all material for the group. Christallen appeared in various contexts in churches, sports arenas and concert venues as well as in various entertainment events and places of worship, because they wanted to reach outside the church's framework. Often the group played in front of crowded premises. Among other things, they participated in and introduced the youth program Gospel Night together with Offensive Nytt Liv. The group also participated in several gospel gala, including with the choir [a=Choralerna]. Christallen toured all over the country but also in Denmark and Norway. | Search | Add | 8 | Humphrey Astley | Humphrey 'Huck' Astley is a writer and musician based in Oxford, England. In the '00s, Astley founded Rain over Bouville, a poetry press, and was a member of the much-loved noise-rock group Sextodecimo (Oxford's greatest ever metal band, according to the local press). He has since graduated with Distinction from degrees at Ruskin College and the University of Oxford, and his poetry has appeared in a range of British and North American publications. His 2014 pamphlet 'Stones through the Windows to the Soul' is downloadable from this site. In 2010, Astley's short-lived gothic americana quartet Huck & The Handsome Fee embarked on a US tour that would inspire his three-part narrative album 'Alexander the Great: a Folk Operetta', which he describes as "A queer runaway myth of two young friends and their fall from grace in Dixie." Then, in 2013, Huck & The Xander Band partnered with PinDrop Music and adapted 'Alexander the Great' into a stage-show, which was hand-picked by The PRS Foundation for their New Music Plus development scheme. The show debuted at The Cambridge Junction in 2014 and has since been described as "Raw and powerful... an impressive display of visual flair and mesmerising songwriting." (The York Press) Astley is also a member of alt-pop group Crandle and indie-folk band The Epstein, who have just released their third album, 'Burn the Branches'. In the meantime he is writing for Sabotage Reviews and The Oxford Times and is a member of the Oxford Writers' House. | |

| Search | Add | 8 | Århus Musikkontor | Århus Musikkontor (often spelled Aarhus Musikkontor and sometimes with musikernes egen booking appended to the name) was a Danish booking and management agency located in Aarhus and operating under this name from 1976 to 2004, when it was renamed to [a=Skandinavian]. History In 1973, eight Aarhus bands got together and set up their own alternative booking agency, [a=Musikernes Kontakt], where they booked jobs for themselves and each other. In 1976 Musikernes Kontakt was transformed into Århus Musikkontor and employed [a=Sven Gaul] of [a=Taurus (22)] as daily manager. From 1976 to 1982 Århus Musikkontor was located on the first floor of the original "Musikernes Hus - [l=Vestergade 58]”. In December 1978, after the transformation into Århus Musikkontor, the agency consisted of twelve bands/owners: [a=Shit & Chanel], [a=Djursland Spillemænd], [a=Kræn Bysted], [a=Big Joe Band], [a=Ballast (2)], Hokus Poulsen, Hus Band, [a=Luna (44)], Minas, Solaris, [a=Taurus (22)] and [a=Baldur (5)]. The daily work in the office was handled by [a=Sven Gaul], [a=Lone Poulsen] (from [a=Shit & Chanel]) and [a=Ulla Berg Andersen] (from [a=Folkstow]), who also made booking agreements for 70-80 other Danish groups and soloists including well-known names such as [a=Papa Bue], [a=C. V. Jørgensen], [a=Secret Oyster], [a=Gnags], [a=Gasolin'], [a=Skousen & Ingemann], [a=Trille], [a=Sebastian (5)], [a=Benny Holst] and [a=Arne Würgler]. The idea of a musician-driven booking agency quickly caught on in other Danish cities, and by 1980 several sister agencies had appeared in Copenhagen (see [a=Københavns Musikkontor]), Aalborg (see [a=Aalborg Musikkontor]), Odense, (see [a=Odense Musikkontor]) and Esbjerg. The Musikkontor agencies joined together in a national organization, Samarbejdsudvalget for De Danske Musikkontorer (DDM), which set up a secretariat in Copenhagen led by the former booker in Aarhus Musikkontor (and musician in Folkstow), [a=Flemming Madsen (3)], and, among other initiatives, launched a national transport support scheme and published the magazine "Rytmetryk". However, in Aarhus it soon became apparent that the amount of paperwork and the requirement for fixed telephone time did not fit in well with life as a touring musician. For this reason, in 1982, the Aarhus board decided to professionalize the enterprise and on 1 September a young [a=Bo Andersen (4)] was hired (with a commission salary) to manage the office with 100% free powers. Soon after, Bo Andersen took the initiative to move from the Vestergade 58 location to a more quiet address at Borgporten and employed his friend [a=Stener Nielsen]. While Århus Musikkontor continued to grow, De Danske Musikkontorer closed in the late 1980's together with other Musikkontor agencies. Around 1988, Århus Musikkontor entered the management area and acted as artistic and business advisor for artists like [a=tv-2], [a=Lars H.U.G.], [a=Poul Krebs], [a=Michael Falch], [a=Fielfraz] and [a=Dicte] (see [a=World Perfect]), and by the 1990's it was one of the three major booking companies in Denmark. In 1999, the agency together with [a=tv-2] launched their own record company [l=Pladeselskabet Have A Cigar] with the intention to support and promote upcoming Danish artists. In 2004, [a=Brian Nielsen (5)], previously manager at [a=The Agency Group, Malmö] joined forces with Århus Musikkontor and it was renamed to [a=Skandinavian] in order to increase the international appeal. | Search | Add | 8 | The Ex-Bombers | The Ex-Bombers are a sinister psychedelic blues duo who play suspiciously resonant songs harnessing the thunder of electric 8-string bass and drums, a pair of wrecking ball voices, and a delightful kaleidoscope perspective of a world on fire. Since 2010 they have been amassing a cult following through their scintillating live shows and five electrifying vinyl releases on Cavetone Records. Thee Story: “Can you hear my heart beat? Whisper in my ear.” Each breath brings with it a shared collective consciousness until, hesitation... it skips a beat. Electricity charges the moment with its velvet touch and The Ex-Bombers begin the sonic ritual with an electric 8 string bass, a small drum set, and a unique blues-meets-garage-meets-jazz dual vocal attack. Their songs are both timely and timeless. The Ex-Bombers promotional photo complete with leather, cat print, and plastic wrap " A sinister extension of the late 60s sound, the pair would have been the house band for the leather club across from the Fillmore West. Think Grace Slick and Lou Reed took over The Doors, add the verve of first-wave garage psych (ex: Music Machine, Chocolate Watchband, Shadows of Knight), and stir in some of the most clever songwriting ever committed to wax. Primal pop hooks, unforgettable frenetic performances, and the type of honesty that only a funhouse mirror can provide. The Ex-Bombers have been a cult band in the making since their debut in a “venue” called the Snake Pit (a townhouse garage) back in 2010 where the decidedly non-punk pair dressed in all black ripped out a set of scintillating originals, perverted versions of covers, and let a pre-recorded VHS tape take the place of banter between songs. Everyone became lost in a shared moment. Curious looks turned to dedicated followers. Since that show, M. Keri Cousins (drums) and S.M. Nancy Walus (bass) have played anywhere with a power outlet on some of the biggest and the smallest stages at clubs, bars, breweries, art spaces, and even three weddings (Catholic, Pagan, and non-denominational for those keeping track). Along the way, they put out five vinyl releases on Cavetone Records that have been met with adulation and intrigue. The releases include multiple long players (“The Tightwire” [2012] / “Five Star Night” [2015] / “New Love Is Easy” [2021]) and 7” releases (Anti-single [2013] / Original Halloween tune [2018]) all recorded completely analog in the spirit of 1967 complete with the crazy concept of playing the songs live / together in a singular take. Known for the production of their albums, the pair have also been the invisible hands that have produced countless other bands' records. The Ex-Bombers continue to dedicate themselves to the craft of being musicians, chasing sounds, and writing songs that describe a kaleidoscope existence that is anything but vanilla. | |

| Search | Add | 8 | Philharmonic Orchestra Of New York | The name Philharmonic Orchestra Of New York was in use on Columbia releases conducted by Stransky roughly 1917-1923. When Mengelberg took over as conductor in 1922, recordings were released by Victor under the name New York Philharmonic Orchestra (1922-1928). Throughout this period, the concert programs used the formal name "The Philharmonic Society of New York", while "The Philharmonic Orchestra" was the short form referring the the actual orchestra. In 1928, it merged with [a1325307] and the two joint orchestras took the new name: Philharmonic-Symphony Orchestra Of New York (P-SONY). The first concert after the merger and name change was on October 4, 1928. For recordings from the pre-1928 era, but issued later with P-SONY or NYP as artist: just credit the named orchestra "as on release" with ANV if necessary - no need to credit PONY.
