Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 8 | Skeletons In The Piano | The band was formed in Saratoga Springs, NY in 2007 by Eli Hargrave and Eric Donovan. Within a year their first full length album Certain Slow Murder was released as well as the four song Keys EP. The project bloomed and gathered musicians Jeff Ayers and Dustin Alexander, and in 2010 they collectively released the Stranger On A Damned Staircase album (produced by Don Fury) and another EP titled LongPig shortly after. Skeletons in the Piano added guitarist Brad Thibodeau, dancers Katarra Peterson and Tatiana Morales, and signed with Magnetic Eye Records in the Summer of 2012. They immediately began work on a third full length, the Please Don't Die LP which was released early May 2013. They disbanded in February 2014.

Search | Add | 8 | m.michele | Meghan Adams | m.michele grew up in lithonia, ga with a voracious appetite for literature and an oversized imagination, but didn't start writing until she turned ten years old. m.michele began experimenting with short stories and novels, many of which will never be published, but it wasn't until she was introduced to the poetry of nikki giovanni did she find her calling. from that moment on, she was never too far from a notebook and a pen. blessed with the gift of imagery and courageous honesty, she honed her craft over the years but kept her pieces mostly to herself. she performed at an occasional open mic night, but never aspired to publish or produce her poetry until she discovered artists like floetry, j.ivy, and shihan and began to realize that she was not the only one who lived for spoken word. through a series of fortunate events, she linked up with STACE at fly company music group and began recording her poetry for the first time in 2010. her work can now be found on itunes and she takes pride and pleasure in speaking at scheduled performances and open mic nights. m.michele has a story to tell. it is comprised of a myriad of emotions and revelations, of mistakes and lessons, of tragedy and joy. her story is how her soul sings. to tell it is how she breathes. |

Search | Add | 7 | Bagga Matumbi | Lannie Glenmore Fagan | Lannie Glenmore "Bevin" Fagan (aka Bagga Matumbi), singer, songwriter and record producer, born May 11 1953; died April 3 2008 Born near Kingston, Jamaica, Fagan moved to the UK aged seven and settled in Battersea, south-west London, where his father was minister of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion church; Fagan first learned to sing there and the soulful voices of visiting brethren from church branches in the US influenced his singing. While attending Spencer Park secondary school, Wandsworth, Fagan became friendly with Barbados-born Dennis Bovell, who had already formed a psychedelic rock band called Stonehenge with another Caribbean immigrant classmate, Errol Pottinger, on lead vocals. Although never officially a member of Stonehenge, Fagan demonstrated his ability to harmonise with Bovell and Pottinger in the school playground. Stonehenge disbanded in 1970 and from its ashes rose Matumbi, a Yoruba word signifying rebirth. Although the group already had Pottinger and Tex Dixon handling vocals, Bovell recruited Fagan, who had briefly worked as a bank clerk after leaving school, to allow for three-part vocal harmony. In its early days, Matumbi gained kudos backing visiting Jamaican stars Ken Boothe and I-Roy, sharing the stage with luminaries including Peter Tosh. Their earliest recording, a cover version of Hot Chocolate's Brother Louie, led by Bovell, gained them a contract with Trojan records, who also issued Wipe Them Out, the first release featuring Fagan on lead vocals, as well as the significantly more popular After Tonight, led by Pottinger. Their reputation was boosted by a cover version, with Fagan on lead, of The Man in Me, a Bob Dylan song the group first became aware of when covered by the Persuaders; Matumbi's rendition was the bestselling British reggae single of 1976. Tired of being pigeonholed as a covers band and generally displeased by Trojan's strategy, Matumbi broke away after a problematic period that saw Dixon, keyboardist Nick Bailey and Pottinger moving on, resulting in Fagan being promoted to official lead vocalist and his younger brother Glaister joining the group. In 1978, the revitalised band signed to EMI's Harvest label, and the resultant album, Seven Seals, contained the nostalgic Blue Beat and Ska, as well as the theme song to the television series Empire Road, which Fagan had a large hand in writing. They also toured extensively with Ian Dury and the Blockheads, which broadened their following, while band members were also involved in side projects, including one featuring Fagan's older sister Sylvia, who recorded under the name Guardian Angel. Matumbi's follow-up album, Point of View, with several songs co-written by Fagan, provided a pinnacle of popularity when its title track reached No 35 in the UK pop charts in 1979. Their final eponymous disc for EMI, and their 1982 album Testify, recorded in Jamaica and co-produced by Fagan and drummer Euton Jones, were less successful. (Source: The Guardian) |

Search | Add | 7 | Rodney ScratchMaster Funk | Rodney Taylor | Rodney has been mixing for over 34 years. He started at the tender age of 13. Have a 40,000 plus record collection. He spins everythng from house to Disco to the oldies. But hes mainly into House Muzik. He started out spinning the Chicago style house. All the stuff they played on the old radio station WBMX. Now hes more into the Deep House side of things. Started out mixin with tape decks. Dont play like yall never did that. Then he got 1 Technic table and a Gemini . Use to copy songs off the radio, then edit out the part where the radio DJ ran his mouth too much. Put some intro and outros into it, then boom. Started buying his records from a shop in chicago called Imports inc. Chip E and Derrick Carter himself use to work there. Also went to State Street Records and Gramaphone and Hot Jams. Gramaphone and Hot jams are still standing to this day. People use to ask him to put songs on a cassette for them back in the day. A little while after that, he started makin his own Mix tapes. Using those 90 minute BASF Chrome cassettes. Man, those were the days. He still has alot of those mixes layin around somewhere. Started selling those for 7.00. Did his share of the little house parties back in the day. Hes from the burbs, but Chicago had some of the best parties in the world back then. Man, every big name DJ right now use to rock all over the city. He started out taggin along with them. Got into most of the parties for free. He will never forget the night when a few DJs didnt show up. And the head DJ let him on. He didnt have his records so he used the other DJs records. It was after that party that people started to recognize his skills on the decks.NOW, he spins alot with CDs. Its much easier to transport from party to party. Instead of carrying 10 or 15 heavy record crates. He refuses to use the new software which allows alot of DJs to use the Beat match feature or allow the software to help the DJ in what ever way. Every now and then, he still pulls out the Vinyl to show the new up and coming DJs how its really done. Rodney now has his own record labels, RodSMFunk Records, Funk N Fro Records, & A-Town Digital Records to add to his claim. Specializing in House music. With genres such as Jackin House, Soulful House, Deep House, and Afro House. Already has more then 10 tracks under his belt. And countless Reworks of top classic tracks that is getting alot of attention worldwide. |

Search | Add | 7 | Austin Stambaugh | Austin Stambaugh | Ohio Balladeer & Story Writer: Austin Stambaugh, is enriched with an authenticity magnetically keen. A modern pioneer of the traditional folk music art of spoken word storytelling, his work has been called “Timeless and nuanced,” by Lilly Hiatt who wrote, “enjoy with the lights low.” Folk pioneer Tim Easton wrote, “Austin Stambaugh is the best flatpicking songwriter you’ve never heard of, and I’ll stand on Steve Earle’s coffee table in my Redwing boots and say it.” Stambaugh’s aesthetic is derived from his fascination with plain-spoken human speech, new standard timeless songs, or just terrifying compositions that hold a listener in suspense. His artistry is displayed in his highly acclaimed studio album Midwest Supernatural (2023). Co-produced by Benjamin Tod of Lost Dog Street Band, the record is a dream document of personal wisdoms and narrations from his northeast Ohio upbringings. With dreamscape sounds of pedal steel guitar and fiddle washing through quick train beats hung on minor keys the record combines the best of his melodic ear as well as his ear for character that we read in his short stories. Originally from northeast Ohio, he is now located in Nashville, TN, where he works various blue collar jobs and is busy writing and recording for Nashville’s punk and folk label Anti-Corp Music. A new short story album is slated for release in early 2024 with a crop of new tour dates to go along. |

Described as "An Apokalyptikum" by Zeit magazine, Bambi's music is a form of break-core (or "twerk-core") characterised by extreme tempo and dense, complex rhythms. Since her 2008 debut album "Release", Bambi has mainly disseminated her work via limited edition downloads, cassettes, and CDs, many of which are extremely rare, under the auspices of a fictitious organisation known as "The Redux Foundation", which also handles her PR and business affairs. The Redux Foundation provides a textual element to Bambi's work, which also incorporates film and burlesque performance. The Foundation's other function is to create and control facts about Bambi and her work, whilst envisaging strategies to render complete or accurate discographies an impossibility.

Search | Add | 7 | Kevin Grunill | Kevin was born in Barnsley, South Yorkshire in 1972 and had shown an interest in all matters of a musical nature at an early age. However, it was not until the age of twelve that he began to learn the electronic organ as his chosen instrument. At the age of sixteen, Kevin began to take an interest in the sound of the mighty theatre organ and it was a natural musical progression that he should begin to study this type of instrument, for which he developed a different playing style to that of his electronic organ performances. It was not long after this that Kevin began performing concerts throughout the country, featuring both electronic and theatre organs.
