Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 8 | Graham Haynes / Hardedge | Graham Haynes / Hardedge was a collaborative project of [a=Graham Haynes] and [a=Hardedge]. The duo recorded and released eight live albums between 2005 and 2010, exploring the inner-workings of sound and synthesis and featuring dense musical soundscapes, unrestricted freedom of movement, vibrant and rich sonic textures. The son of famous jazz drummer [a=Roy Haynes], Graham was surrounded by jazz his whole childhood. While Haynes' main instrument is the cornet, he is mostly working with electronic processing to create subtle sonic environments. Haynes combines compelling, hypnotic horn lines, experimental post-techno rhythms, world music grooves and ambient textures in his sonic output. Sound designer [a=Velibor Pedevski], better known under [a=Hardedge] alias, is working in the realms of live dark electronic music. His experimental approach to sound, space, and structure is inspired and based on the fundamental principles of the Chicago's A.A.C.M. creative thinkers, especially their revolutionary multi-directional, non-progressive approach, and the use of silence as a musical element. Together with Graham Haynes, Hardedge created psychedelic-like aural landscapes, made up of polyrhythms and random, transient frequencies. | |

| Search | Add | 8 | de dormitor | Our biggest inspiration source is the Universe. It doesn't matter what genre we get hooked on, we just tend to get really deep and spacy in our music. And, come on, what's deeper than space? De Dormitor stands for two things: first, our netlabel, and the second, an alias that we use to mysteriously release either solo or collab work under the same name, when we want to. Gunnarsdóttir studied at UCLA in Los Angeles and at the School of Visual Arts in New York.Ásdís is known for her performances that take place in unconventional places and her video installations consisting of three dimensionality and visual phsycadelic poetry. Treating videos as songs, Ásdís vj´s together combination of her videos and reads poetry over them. Her art work can vary from large video installations and performances to spoken word poetry and photography. Her performance at the Berlinale film festival was called “The Abstract Prophecy Conference”. It was a 45 min long “journey to the psychedelic vastness of the feminie mind. The artist controls an abstract PowerPoint blended in with music, videos, performances and poetry”. A one woman show where she mixes video art and skype performances into the stage. Ásdís started making performances through skype in 2007 where she had a new performance every Sunday afternoon by the computer. The audience would call in that hour for a performance. Since then she has on and off used the online medium for performance and video making, where improvising plays a big part of the art. In 2011 she made a large video installation called “Improvised, immediate past” in the show “Momentum”, she recorded a performance and did not allow herself to edit it, it was a one take and projected onto the walls, live size from 3 different angles. This way she wanted to release her control over the video medium and celebrate the “Power of now”, the beauty in the details. Ásdís is a part of an artist group that is called “Theater of Artists” that makes glamorous evenings of performances in the basement of The National Theater in Iceland. In the fall of 2011 Ásdís along with Ragnar Kjartansson and Davíð Þór Jónsson lead a residency in Banff called “The Soiree Retreat” where artists got together every week and made an evening of Soirees, full of poetry, videos and singing. |

| Search | Add | 8 | Jimmy Reeves Jr. | Blues singer and guitarist, who recorded an LP for Chess/Checker in Chicago, Illinois, in 1970. It's not easy to find info about Jimmy Reeves Jr. The following article sheds some light on the album - "One other session [from Walter Horton] that merits attention from this period is a Chess LP done under the name of guitarist Jimmy Reeves Jr., who as his name alludes, was a young Jimmy Reed lookalike and soundalike, complete with a photograph of rack mounted harmonica around his neck. The session was a straight Willie Dixon affair that featured a few Reed titles and a lot of Willie's songbook. Fortunately, M.T. Murphy was the lead guitarist and Shakey [Walter Horton] performed some outstanding sympathetic backing in tandem with pianist Lafayette Leake or Sunnyland Slim. Reeves Jr., the star of the session, was relegated to vocals. This session appeared only briefly on vinyl, then disappeared presumably due to poor sales, and a lingering aftertaste of bad Jimmy Reed clones that had exhausted their market attraction. This type of session is a good example of how a mediocre artist (Reeves Jr.) can be rescued from oblivion by a good backing group, a task that Walter Horton handled measurably, several times during his career". - from http://www.ilpopolodelblues.com/bman/horton.html | |

Eastwood Music Group co-founders Luke Sardello and Skin Wade wanted to release a project that evoked the feelings they had when they first discovered the 70’s era fusion works of Herbie Hancock and Weather Report and Return to Forever. Upon linking with fellow Dallas native Max Gerl (bassist/composer), an alum of Berklee College of Music and Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing Arts, they knew they’d found someone to bring their concept to life. A well-studied musician/producer and mentee of jazz fusion bassist Stanley Clarke, Gerl understood the particular feeling Wade and Sardello sought to recreate.

| Search | Add | 8 | J. Aubertin | Jeremie Aubertin | "Contrary to fashion, far from excessive decibels and excessive ego, J.Aubertin installs an atmosphere dominated by melancholy. He sings the experiences that mark the heart and soul. Folksinger / Songwriter, he is inspired by models of American folk music such as Townes Van Zandt, Blaze Foley, John Prine, Guy Clark, Steve Earle, but especially his idol: The Tallest Man On Earth. Without superfluous, Nothing but the essential. A tessitura first, of a "dramatico-sensual" gravity, striking of contrast with the gracility of the character. A guitar serving simple melodies, but with just enough to see the streets of Nashville, the steppes of Central Asia and other images of Epinal as soon as you close your eyes. The great escape, then, with that poignant little something that grips your chest, the heart stops and races at the same time." |
