Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 8 | Pure Mids | When songwriter & multi-instrumentalist, Will Gonzalez started writing a handful of songs about self-skepticism & optimism. Soon after, Will joined forces with producer/songwriter & multi-instrumentalist, Steven Martinez to record and produce them using techniques he acquired through past recordings he did with Will & drummer Daniel Jurado's previous band, Fine Minds, as well as Steven's recording project, The Ambient Light (who Jurado also drummed for). Will, Daniel, and Steven met years ago through playing shows with their old bands throughout Los Angeles and The San Gabriel Valley. Their new musical project called Pure Mids is an alternative/new gaze rock sound with a splash of neo-psychedelia. All three members are from Southern California.

Search | Add | 8 | Michael Anthony Keane | GAIA COMMUNICATIONS WORLD NETWORK Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law Dear Brothers and Sisters, Fraternal greetings. My name is Michael Keane, I am a member of the OTO based in Liverpool, England; and since 1978 I have been working as a music(k)ian under the name of The Royal Family & the Poor. Over the last 20 years, under this name, I have produced numerous LP's, singles and videos, some on Manchester based Factory Records and later privately releasing material on our own Independent Label, Gaia Communications World Network. The Royal Family & the Poor began in 1977 as a collaboration of two artists, myself and a friend, Arthur Mcdonald, who was the original vocalist. The very first recordings the Royal Family & the Poor were done on a £15.00 cassette machine and were nothing more to the average listener than white noise with an electrical drone. Over this, Arthur would read Situationist text taken from some of his own writings coupled with exerpts taken from Rauol Vanegiem's "leaving the 20th century" Our "sound" was created by my dismantling a radio receiver, wiring it up to a small analogue synthesiser and connecting them both to an old stereo gram. This would then be manipulated by moving magnets around the receiver in the radio. The Royal Family & the Poor began as an Aural- Psychic-audio experiment in transpersonal forms of communication between ourselves and the listener. The rehearsal room at home became our musickal, alchemical lab and The Royal Family & the Poor's Musick became a technique to explore consciousness. After all, what is Music(k) other than the ability to articulate the incommunicable, the occult or hidden? Music(k) can give insights of the Soul. It can teach us how to remain open and receptive to the new, the magical. It can move and inspire us to participate in creation, to mold, to draw, to etch, to carve, to Create; the creed of OZ, that "every man and woman is" an Artist or "a star." It was specifically this relationship between magic(k), Art and the ability of sound to effect changes in consciousness that began to fascinate us and so we decided to call our music "musick". Factory Records heard a tape of what we were doing and invited us to contribute to a double LP sampler showcasing four of Factory's new acts. It was quickly recorded live one afternoon in Joy Divisions first four track studio. After this first year the other members, including Arthur McDonald, left the group. As I had felt something profoundly moving in the musick we had made, the ideas behind it and the wave of energy which surged through our entire generation around these times, to say nothing of the wonderful music coming out of every dark corner in the UK, (called by the gutter-press "punk rock") I decided to continue any way that I could. It was 1982, the year that I had been working on a "Practical correspondence course on the Mystical Quabbala with S.O.L., when out-of-the-blue I had a visit from a friend who just happened to be doing photographs for a William Burroughs event in the town centre that evening. He thought I might like to tag along. The subsequent meeting was like something strait out of "Interzone" and shocked me by its Psychic reality. It was as if Burroughs had been expecting me. He shook my hand and treated me as if I was an old friend. In the hours that followed I experienced something that I had not felt since childhood, a sense of being loved by something far greater than myself. It wasn't until I returned home that I realised that that love I had felt from him had not left me. It never did and continues to inspire me today. "The great God Pan is dead, Pan, the God of Panic, the sudden awareness that everything is alive and significant. But Pan lives on in the realm of imagination, in writing, painting and Music." William Burrough's -- from "Dead city radio", CD -- Island Records, 1990. In 1985, The Royal Family & the Poor made the decision to leave Factory records for good and set about forming our own record label, Gaia Communications World Network. We quickly released one LP and a 12" single, as well as recording an entire collection of new material before the distribution company, (Red Rhino) collapsed, effectively wiping-out our label over night. During this period, with various members of the band coming and going, (in a sense, the Royal Family & the Poor has been a large collective with many different people) we did numerous performances in Europe and in the UK, with five C90 cassette releases, contributed to various compilation LP's and publications, performed ritual workshops and gave lectures. In 1995 the opportunity arose to procure a PC and phone line as well as to raise enough capital to re-launch our beloved long term project, " Gaia Communications World Network", (not to be confused with other fluffy-bunny "new age" groups of the same name!!). Our first new release will be a project which has been some ten years in the making, the third audio release by Gaia Records, recorded during 1989-1990, a CD LP release titled, "Songs For The Children Of Baphomet: A Musickal Celebration on the Theme of Magick and A Tribute to The Life & Works Of Aleister Crowley, (1875 - 1947)". This LP CD includes a free 28 page full colour booklet and over an hour of some of the best tracks the Royal Family & the Poor have done to date. Each copy will be individually numbered from 1 to 2000. We would like to thank the OTO for the copyright permission granted to us to use the Aleister Crowley material contained on the tribute LP, and we would also like to thank Frater A.M.T. and Frater H.B. for their invaluable support and encouragement with this project. We could not have done it without you, thanks! Search | Add | 8 | DJ Snoyl | Joe Lyons | One of Boston's best kept secrets, DJ Snoyl, a.k.a "The Remix All-Star", has been impressing hip-hop fans nationally and internationally for the past seven years. In 1996 Snoyl began his career spinning hip-hop and knew that entertaining the masses was his calling. Snoyl's extensive experience in the music industry is evident to any ear that hears his unique mixing flavor. He began in '96 as a radio mix-show DJ at WBIM 91.5 FM. In 1997, Snoyl became the Urban Music Director at WBIM. He was also working for a mobile DJ company on the weekends. Working at colleges and high school dances gave Snoyl even more experience with mixing. Tearin' up the land of mix-tapes/CDs. It was big from the start. Despite limited resources, Snoyl's first mix-tape release made it big, real big. The tape, titled "Freestyles 2000", featured all original freestyle raps from both local hip-hop artists and internationally known artists including Eminem and members of the Wu-Tang Clan. The fact that this local unknown DJ was releasing his first major mixtape with over 50 known hip-hop artists doing exclusives gave Snoyl more than a foot in the door. "I recorded that tape in my parents basement with two tape decks and a Discman when I was home on college vacation. These were freestyles that artists had mailed to me and even left on my voicemail! I never imagined that it would be as big as it was!" said Snoyl. More recently, Snoyl has been on the grind with some major mix-CD releases. Last summer he released a double Jay-Z and 50 Cent Blend CD during the Roc The Mic tour. This CD set features over 50 acapella tracks from the duo, blended over beats from Eminem, Dre, and others. If you're a Biggie fans, you already have a copy of Snoyl's recently released "The Christopher Wallace Project" This Notorious B.I.G. tribute CD hosts 43 tracks mixed by Snoyl. In addition to the "Snoyl Blends" of classic and rare Biggie material, freestyles, rare interviews and Biggie demo tracks, Snoyl surprises listeners with never-before-released remixes, "I have been researching this project for about a year and I made sure that at least 75% of the tracks (these versions) on my CD have never been released before by any DJ on any mixtape." Says Snoyl. Snoyl fans have also been waiting in anticipation for his new CD set titled "DJ Snoyl - New Artist Series" The first artist featured is Pop / R&B singer, BL. He competed in the USA World Showcase in Las Vegas last summer, placing first in the male vocal category out of approximately 42,000 applicants worldwide. The BL mix-CD features exclusive "Snoyl remixes" with Kanye West, Method Man, and others. Whether Snoyl is spinning hip-hop at a club, or cutting up vinyl at a concert, he is known for one thing…moving the crowd. Snoyl has performed on stage with major acts like Busta Rhymes and smaller acts like Boston locals "The Kreators". No matter what the venue, the crowd is always moving while Snoyl is on the tables - he has DJ-ed sold out venues of 2000+ along with many smaller venues in Boston and around the country. "I love looking out at the crowd and seeing that one person standing still in the middle of the crowd looking at me with a confused look on their face like 'How did he get this remix'" laughs Snoyl Snoyl's style is rare, if not one of-a-kind to the hip-hop scene. He is one of the only DJ's that mixes instrumentals and acapellas live. He creates live new blends as he DJ's! Those in attendance at Snoyl's shows are always in awe of his hypnotic mixing style that is guaranteed to be a hit with any hip-hop crowd. To book Snoyl worldwide, contact his agent, Jaime Andrews at booking@snoyl.com Get your hands on Snoyl. Snoyl CDs should be a mandatory part of any hip-hop fans CD collection. Every CD that he has released is mixed non-stop with no talking. He keeps the "mix" in mixtape. "A lot of DJ's today don't mix. They put together a compilation of random new songs and talk over it. No mixing, no blending, no scratching, no creativity. "Mix" tapes are an art form that have been unfortunately forgotten" Snoyl says. Snoyl takes pride in his patience to spend a month or more putting together a concept CD that is well thought out and meaningful. By the time Snoyl's new projects hit the shelves, they are packed with blends and remixes that many times, no other DJ has. A local music chain that carries Snoyl's CD's in all 24 of their locations sold out of Snoyl's Jay-Z & 50 Cent double Blend CD production in less than a week! To date, Snoyl has ten different mix-CD's that are selling consistently around the globe and online. His website (www.snoyl.com) alone generates over 2500 hits per day from visitors in over 50 countries. Get your hands on some of Snoyl's work by visiting www.snoyl.com. Snoyl is available worldwide for clubs, concerts, and major college events. In addition to his work as a hip-hop remix DJ, Snoyl owns a consulting business that caters to small businesses and individuals who need design and marketing services. Spin350.com Design Services specializes in the music and entertainment industry. |

Search | Add | 8 | Sherbet Underground | Sherbet Underground were founded on the New Year’s Eve of 1991 by Antal Geza and Aleksandar Petrovic Mechka. The duo initially tried to play in the line-up of just vocal and guitar, with computer-programmed drum & bass matrix. On their first concert, in April of 1992, few other musicians joined them – Takacs Tibor Faki on clarinet, Dejan Cemerlic Cemerla on trumpet and Zvonko Saric, a guest who spoke his poetry... The band held a dozen concerts, with occasional guest appearance of Dr.Fuzz's whatthe guitar -- the hand-made effects of "dubing" sound. Due to technical inability to perform normal concerts in times of monetary inflation, the band produced self-proclaimed "sound engineers" who, in their arrogance, stupidity and ignorance, failed to solve the “enigma", so Geza and Mechka finally decided to introduce "live" rhythm section…

The members of the band originated from the West Indies hence their acquaintanceship with the typical Surinamese and Caribbean (melodic) instruments: the steelpans on which traditional songs and party music was played. Originally they exclusively used these traditional steel drums along with percussion instruments. The band stayed active till the end of the Seventies.

Internationally represented on labels in Germany, United States, Italy & Russia, their sound is as multifarious as spread over the world. Something that is obvious considering their strong believe in creating the right mood for every party is what counts most. Although 2020 made a halt to playing live, they bundled their energy with Jorginho Joao to create their label and musical outlet „Dance Petrol Records“ to give home to various styles of house music. Apart from forming their idea of house music on their own label, they are already looking forwarding to ending 2020 with a bang, their first vinyl release on Mango Sounds! While they already released on well known labels like Plastik People, Soulbrain Records as well as Igor Gonyas Sundries and Lisztomania Records, their so far most successfull belter was released on HDSNs NBAST. “Disco Dolly” climbed up to Traxsource top 6 deephouse charts and stayed in top10 for 3 weeks. |

Search | Add | 8 | Patricia Scot | Charlotte Anne Shealy | American vocalist, born 23 October 1931. At 17, she began singing with various groups in and around Milwaukee; she went on a country-wide tour with the Tommy Reed Band, a group out of Chicago. After the tour, she returned to Milwaukee, she sang in clubs around Wisconsin for a while, changing her name to Patricia Scot. She moved to Chicago, and one of her first breaks came when acclaimed tenor saxophonist [a262140] invited her to sing with his band in Toronto. Soon after this, Patricia signed her first recording contract with [l627117], and later with [l8511]. She also sang at a popular jazz club called the Steamliner, which was known for it's guest artists who included Bill Evans, on leave from the army on weekends, and Anita O'Day. Scot was approached by CBS Talent Director [a5306092] to join WBBM, where she sang on a morning radio show for several months. This led to her five-year stint with the hit TV show "In Town Tonight". TV Guide awarded Scot "Best Female Singer" for 1955. In 1957, she met and married Mike Nichols, moving to New York City. It was while in NY she met [a97480] which led to the recording of her album [m1033126]. Pat continued on the hotel and club circuit until 1970, when she put the music scene on the backburner after meeting and marrying, hotel manager Jim Dickerson. They were invited to a White House party hosted by President Nixon. Pat spent the next 20-years working in the Banking industry, and on her retirement fell into piano tuning when she was unable to get a tuner for her piano. Since then she has tuned pianos professionally, and following the death of her husband, in 1997, decided to get back into performing. In 1999 she met Trumpeter Jack Yorton and together they formed a quartet, "Prime Time", they married in 2000 and continued to play in the Central Florida region until 2008 including a brief stint with a local big band "The Golden Era", based in Sebring, FL. |

Search | Add | 7 | Cecil Gill | Cecil Harris Gill | Born September 19, 1912 died 1978 A popular country music balladeer on Fort Worth radio stations in the 1930s and 1940s, Also referred to as; Cecil (The Yodeling Country Boy) Gill In 1945 that Cecil had a show on KFJZ at 6:30pm in 1945. His sponsor was a local clothing store. She noted in another article that the show was on Monday through Saturday and then he also had a 2:15pm Sunday afternoon show. In 1930 Gill moved to Fort Worth and signed on at KTAT. For the next twenty-plus years, “The Yodeling Country Boy” was a constant presence on Cowtown radio stations—on WBAP, then KFJZ and KGKO. After World War II he appeared on KXOL, KCUL, KCNC, and KJIM. The daily broadcasts featured Cecil and his guitar serving up songs from the past such as “The Ship That Never Returned,” “Utah Carroll,” and “The Engineer’s Child.” In 1941 he opened Cecil Gill’s Eat Shop, and he started an independent laundry pickup service in 1957. Gill was still operating the laundry service when he died suddenly of a heart attack on March 28, 1978. While Cecil may have been more a regional or local artist, Floy does report in several articles that he was a fixture on the big shows at the Coliseum in the Fort Worth area when the Grand Ole Opry acts were touring through the area such as Ernest Tubb, Eddy Arnold and Pee Wee King. Gill’s recording career was brief. He waxed six songs in 1946 for the local Silver Star Record Company. “Teardrops in the Rain”/“Say Goodbye” (Silver Star 101) proved popular enough to be reissued in 1949 on Rich-R’-Tone Records, a Tennessee label specializing in bluegrass music. By 1947, we were finding that Cecil's career had taken him to radio station WGAD in Gadsen, Alabama. A 1948 Billboard article mentions Cecil was recording on the Bluebonnet record label. But by 1949, Cecil was back in Fort Worth on radio station KXOL. He did not return to the studio until 1963 to record four albums worth of favorites from his radio days for Bluebonnet Records in Fort Worth. In 1971 he recorded a gospel album, How Big Is God, for Arlington-based Inspiration Records. |
