Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

There are two definitive eras of the band's history, although three additional line-ups existed. The "metal" era of the band featured two pairs of male friends joining forces to combine their love of thrash, industrial and death metal. Influences included: Cannibal Corpse, Sepultura, Fear Factory, Acid Bath, Nailbomb, Napalm Death and Machine Head. A demo, ("A Worthless Emotion"), and a full-length, ("The Ties That Bind"), were released. Some hints of the band's newer influences were apparent on the full-length release, but would come to fruition in the coming years. The band started to evolve and experiment with their sound, eventually losing the death and thrash influences in favor of groove and attitude. New influences included: Coal Chamber, Sevendust, Stuck Mojo, Manhole L.A., Living Colour and Biohazard. One of the founding members didn't like the musical direction and was asked to leave the band. A new male vocalist was acquired but his time with the band was short-lived. He was replaced be a female vocalist and the second era of the band truly began. Retaining their down-tuned guitars from their heavier days, the band began to write music inspired by where heavy music was going to instead of where it had been. The band's second full-length was released on the verge of the dawn of what would become known shortly as "nu-metal", although in December of 2000 nobody really called it that yet, so the band and their fans made up their own genre definitions: some called it heavy-hop and some called it R&Bcore. Questionable experimentation with hip-hop aside, it resounded with fans in a big way and the band found themselves touring more often and playing to bigger crowds. Demos were made for a follow-up recording and shopped to labels, but the band found far too many people unsure of exactly how to market the band, even though they agreed the music was strong and the band's live performance was solid. The stagnation lead members to start to experiment with side-projects and other interests, and with no official farewell show, the band went on an indefinite hiatus and never reconvened. |

Demo recording began during the summer that year and the band played their first show on September 1, 1989, opening for Saigon Kick at the Button South, Miami. 1990: Jimmy Hamilton (drums) joins group, replacing Jack Prince... then, the band relocates to Los Angeles in summer. 1991: The band enters the recording studio and self produces a 5 song EP titled 'Skinnylickit'. The first Sunset Strip shows are played. 'Turn Black' (#17) appears from the 'Skinnylickit' session 1992: Joining Danny K and Jimmy Hamilton, Steve Oliverio (lead gtr), Scott Kelly (gtr) and Landen Ruddell (bass) join the group, replacing the original members, in Spring, the band re-entered the recording studio (Cornerstone Recorders, Northridge, CA) to self produce a 4 song demo commissioned by Vince Neil of Motley Crue) for the purpose of securing management and a recording deal. Vince also performed background vocals on the track 'No, I Know I, No Shortly after, Vince Neil/Night Ranger/Damn Yankees manager Bruce Bird began representing DVJ but sadly passed away soon after the first Vince Neil solo album was released. Carrying on without representation, the band played shows throughout the US and at home on the Sunset Strip. 'Sasimone' (#8) 'No, I Know I, No'*** (#16) and 'Home' (#14) appear from the Cornerstone session. ***featuring Vince Neil on background vocals 1993: To begin the year, the band embarked on tour with rock band Bang Tango for the second 'Cathouse Wild West Tour', promoted by Riki Rachtman throughout various Western states. Also, at the Cathouse in Hollywood, DVJ opened for Stone Temple Pilots, White Zombie, Faster Pussycat and the Cadilac Tramps. Then again, in summer, the band entered another LA studio (Carolco Studio, West Hollywood, CA) to self produce a 7 song demo. 'Fool Telephone' (#13) and 'Sympathy' (#12) appear from the Carolco session. 1994: After a rehearsal studio demo recording of one song, 'Downtime', DVJ splits up and takes a one year hiatus. Danny K and Jimmy Hamilton move back to South Florida while the others remain in Los Angeles. 'Downtime' (#11) appears from the rehearsal studio demo session. 1995: Danny K moves back to West Hollywood in June, bringing new song demos for the purpose of re-forming DVJ. Landen Ruddell (bass) re-joins, along with Dave Zink (lead gtr... from Blackboard Jungle) and Pierre Requena (drums). The 'new' band rehearses new material and plays live shows at home in Los Angeles as well as throughout the Western US for the rest of the year. 1996: Touring continues throughout the winter and then, from spring through winter of this year, the band enters another LA studio (Larabee Studios, West Hollywood, CA) to record 21 songs for the self titled CD, 'Death Valley Jupiter'. 11 songs are chosen for the final pressing, and copies made in December were sold or given away at shows. 'Ga Ga Beaga' (#6) etc etc etc appears from the 'Death Valley Jupiter' session. 1997: Touring continues throughout the year to support the release of the self titled CD, 'Death Valley Jupiter'. 1998: DVJ plays its final show at the Roxy, April 1998. | |

The name of the training evokes both the chemistry that occurs between Mario and Viviane, who share the composition, voices and guitars and the diversity of their musical influences. In 2004, after a fruitful creative period, the two singer-authors are launching a debut album, Un, produced, directed and recorded in their home studio. This first album, which includes songs in English, signed Mario, and French, written by Viviane, enabling them to lay the foundation for their unique style distinguished by the prominence given to vocal harmonies, through poetry texts and by tinged melodies of medieval accents, Gregorian and Arabists. In spring 2005, the Osmosaïc duo began performing in the show after having expanded their repertoire of several new pieces. Gradually Osmosaïc is building a network of loyal fans bewitched by the richness of their repertoire and originality of their approach. Upon graduating from Berklee, Domas recorded “Meditations on Providence and Perseverance, Vol.1”. Featuring collaborations with Gregory Groover Jr., Nadje Noordhuis, Gregory Tardy, Alexandria DeWalt and many others, the album appeared in March 2024. The pianist currently resides in Boston, pursuing his masters at the New England Conservatory. He cites Gerald Clayton, Keith Jarrett, Sullivan Fortner and Rev. James Cleveland as influences. Domas’ original music combines Post-Bop and metrically-nuanced modern jazz with Gospel/sacred music traditions and Afro-Caribbean styles. The repertoire is also enriched by modern adaptations of his native Lithuanian composers’ songbook and Baltic folklore. |

At 11, he started attending the Conservatoire in Pesaro, his hometown. He immediately learned the piano techniques, by playing classical music. Three times he was invited to the famous Italian TV show “Domenica In…” which was immediately followed by more TV. Meanwhile the press has defined him as the “genius in Jerry Lee Lewis' wake” Matthew started touring the most famous Italian clubs, including The Place in Rome, Le Scimmie in Milan, Barfly in Ancona, Naima in Forlì. During summer 2005, he was invited to a number of important festivals, including San Severino Marche Blues Festival, which he opened in front of 1500 enthusiastic people, and the Summer Jamboree festival in Senigallia. At the end of 2005, Matthew performed in Rome, during New Year's Feast, with 150,000 participants. In November 2006, Matthew Lee released his first album “[r=9458218]”, produced by the Italian group [a643509]. The album was also recorded in their studios. The artistic director of this album was the Nomadi's guitar player [a1322960], who also recorded some guitar's tracks. This important co-operation led Matthew to be invited to open the concerts of this famous Italian group. In December 2006, [a229326], who has always appreciated his art, invited him to perform at Motor Show in Bologna, in the "Myths of music" stand. During summer 2007, Matthew was invited by many important Italian blues festivals, including Soul Island festival, Brindisi blues festival, Subiaco Blues festival, Lodi Blues festival and Tropea blues festival. Even internationally Matthew Lee does not go unnoticed: he started touring abroad last year, appearing in Holland, Germany, France and the UK. His second album, "[r=9458372]" was released in May 2008. It is recorded live on different occasions through Italy. In 2015 was released the second studio album "[r=9458309]". |

He took a great interest in the violin at age three and would listen intently to his uncle Hughie MacGillivary. When Hughie died his fiddle was given to Colin who was then twelve years old. He was kept busy playing for concerts, dances and weddings. The economy in Nova Scotia hit a slump and in 1909 Colin went to work in Ontario. Then he spent from 1911 to 1916 working in Boston where he studied violin and learned to read music. It was during this time he composed his most famous fiddle tune "The Little Burnt Potato". Colin was the first Nova Scotian in the old time or country field to make commercial recordings. He first recorded in Montreal for Brunswick on March 19, 1932. He also recorded 78's on the Columbia and Celtic labels. He last recorded an LP in 1963 at the age of 72. His old 78's were re-issued on LP in 1979. Though Colin has ten children, none of them have taken up the fiddle. Although Colin did not make a lot of money on music, he got much enjoyment from playing and entertaining. His home was always open to anyone wanting to hear a tune and he never refused to play. He passed away June 17, 1975 at the age of 84. | |
