Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Conconquidore Truidore | Conconquidore Truidore is a psychedelic music group from Toronto led by Rob Cole, active mostly between 2005 and 2012. Described by the band: "Melodies are sung or whistled and then translated onto various instruments*. The band is directed by one, and stars 5 more**. Sometimes the players play what's written for them. Other times they play for themselves until the director stops them and says "Perfect, again!" It is somewhat theatrical, aiming to sound like images, a soundtrack to itself. Some sounds are secretly borrowed from the world. Some melodies have been dreamt and some lyrics have been hallucinated. Some words are made up, and some syllables are sung strangely to sound wrong. It is full of subliminal code. Not. Its favourite instruments are those that can be played in parks. Its favourite concepts are those that "serve as the axe for the frozen sea within us." It longs for a dignified colour palette, but can't seem to say no to any colour. It longs longer and longer everyday. * guitars, pianos, flutes, banjos, harmonicas, erhus, saxophones, accordions jembes, sound recordings (Etc) ** Rob Cole, Julia Carney, Kyle McQueston, Alexander R. Arvelo McQuaig, Nicholas Kerr, Tristan Murphy, Courtney Arthur, Paul Castrodale (etc)."

Search | Add | 2 | Сгоревший холодильник | Max Kotenkov, Alex Tokko | A mythical Russian band whose name means "Burned-Out Refrigerator" (pronounced as "Sgorevshyi Kholodilnik"). Having roamed the vast country for years, band members finally settled in Kaliningrad (formerly Königsberg) on the western outskirts of Russia. The band consists of Max Kotenkov (guitar, vocals) and Alex Tokko (guitar, vocals). Band members insist that "Sgorevshyi Kholodilnik" is much rather a philosophical concept than just a musical outfit. Being a self-contained musical entity, "Sgorevshyi Kholodilnik" is closely related to a semi-pirate Kaliningrad formation of music enthusiasts called "Radio Einfall". |

Search | Add | 2 | Kurt Rasquin | Kurt Billig | German American opera singer (born May 13, 1890 Hamburg, Germany - died November 14, 1940 in Hamburg, Germany) Born Curt Carl Hermann Billig, Rasquin spent some time in Manchester, England. In February 1915, he arrived in the United States, where he worked as an actor and singer. In 1917, he performed at New York's Yorkville Theatre as a member of Adolf Philipp's stock theater company. In February 1921, he became a naturalized U.S. citizen and used the opportunity to adopt his stage name, Kurt Rasquin, as his new legal name. Between 1920 and 1921, Rasquin made numerous recordings of German songs for [l=Columbia], which billed him as a tenor. In the summer of 1922, he also cut 8 sides for the German [l=Vox (3)] label in Berlin; Vox promoted him as a baritone. At the same time, Rasquin increasingly worked as a merchant, traveling back and forth between Germany and the United States. In 1923, he married the widow of a Hamburg merchant, Antonie Mayr-Bertheau, née Fieke, and settled in Hamburg. Between 1931 and 1938, Rasquin lived in Berlin-Charlottenburg, again as a merchant, but then he seems to have moved back once more to Hamburg, where he died of a heart condition in 1940. |

Search | Add | 2 | The Forest New Orleans Jazz Band | The Forest Jazz Band can trace its beginnings back to 1984 when Jack Moore and Keith Simkin watched and enjoyed traditional jazz played by the Riverside Jazz Band at The Wagoners, Burnley. Jack got himself a trombone and together with Keith on banjo, began to practise at each others homes. Eventually they found other enthusiasts willing to play drums, clarinet, bass and trumpet. Before long they had regular practice sessions every Sunday morning at The Pendle Forest Sports Club in Fence near Burnley. One day a singer, Gloria joined in and the band was formed. They wanted to name the band after The Pendle Forest, but as there was already a Pendle JazzMen, they settled on the name The Forest Jazz Band

Search | Add | 2 | A.M.M.O | A.M.M.O (Aligned Minds Mentally Organised) are an East/South London Hip-Hop collective that first started making music back in Autumn 2001. Its members include Cariz (MC), Keelow (MC), Kaan (Producer) and Fatal-E (DJ). They met via darkerthanblue.com, a popular Hip-Hop forum website at the time, where they would trade rhymes, and where Kaan would often share his beats. Even while they were online, they just seemed to click - all showing mutual respect for each other’s work. I guess you could say that they are a product of today’s technological times, as it was the best part of a year that passed before they finally met up in person. They eventually did, at WKD in Camden, to see a performance by the Funk/Hip-Hop band Dirtburg, of which Cariz is also a member, alongside lyricist Boneca. Later that year A.M.M.O first hit the studio, and churned out tunes like “The Pillage”, “H.O.P.E” and “Jazzikal”, which went on to win Ras Kwame’s home-grown cut of the week, when BBC Radio 1xtra was still just a few weeks old. Since then they have enjoyed frequent airplay from DJ Excalibah on 1xtra, and have had write-ups and reviews in Hip-Hop Connection, Undercover, and Big Smoke Magazine, which have all reinforced their much deserved hype. In August 2004, they dropped their Debut EP “The Slewage”, on the Armshouse Records imprint, which has received good reception from the scenes hip-hop purists, and has been tearing up the live circuit around London.
