Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024

Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 DJ Sil Stéphanie (Sté) Looser In her younger years, she was always faithful to trance. She spent many nights in the most important clubs (preferably the Oxa) in Switzerland. Stéphanie grew up in Horgen (suburb of Zurich). She was an enthusiastic music lover. She had taught herself how to produce. In spring 2001, she went into the studio with her life partner (Cut A. Kaos), with a concrete plan. The title melody came from a metal song (Manowar) and so the hookline was recorded. Cut A. Kaos added an additional hardcore stomper, which could also be found on various compilations. Later, after 2015, S!L dedicated himself to mashups and created various tracks, which unfortunately have never been released to this day. On 10 March 2021, Stéphanie was found dead in her own flat by her life partner. So that everything is not forgotten, the existing trax will be carefully listened to and released at a later date, we will see. Peace!

At the 15 mikey went out to his first dance club and was totally blown away with the energy abd the vibe of the crowd and music. Mikey wanted to be more involved with this scene instead of just a causal party goer. Mikey decided to become a DJ so he can control what the crowd feals. Later he didnt think that was enough, Mikey wanted the crowd to feel what he was feeling s Mikey decided to Produce his own music. Mikey Brings out all his feeling and emotion out in his tracks hopefully giving this vibe to his listeners. Mikey looks at music as an art, delicatly put together to form somethin beautiful and to share it with everyone.

Search Add 2 Augusti Augusti, a member of Duo Ghoul's Hammer, launched his solo project with great motivation and experience acquired over time. Always passionate about music, first listening to a lot of hip hop, rap, rock, metal. He discovered electronic music at the age of 14 and it was a revelation. At the age of 16, he began to compose Hardcore on a Hardware machine, but very quickly he sold his equipment and began to work with computer music. At the age of 18 he started DJing. Determined, his productions range from Industrial Techno to Acid Techno while passing through Industrial Hardcore and Crossbreed. He has produced two industrial techno EPs for Darkness Sprawls Records and recently a Crossbreed remix on vinyl for DTK Records. His DJ sets are filled with energy, rhythm, and Techno style combinations, letting the public navigate and evolve between the styles that inspire Augusti with always the same vision: Industrial and Dancefloor.

Search Add 2 Nazti Skinz NAZTI SKINZ’ brilliant concept consisted of four talented and well known personalities who only wanted to play five shows, write six songs, and release 500 copies of a crummy looking record. This, they thought, would safely undercut the probability of ultimately sucking as most bands do. As a result, they cashed all their chips in here and recorded the most brilliant single nobody’s ever heard. A one time pressing of 500 copies that vanished faster than they did.
