Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 8 | Hunting (2) | Indie rock/folk project of Vancouver multi-instrumentalist Bradley Ferguson. In the spring of 2012, songwriter Bradley Ferguson spent two months in Berlin and Paris with the intention of immersing himself in Europe's thriving electronic music scene. Ironically, the Vancouver multi-instrumentalist came home with a batch of songs that formed the crux of his new indie folk project, Hunting. The band's self-titled album will be out on February 25 through Nevado Records. Ferguson previously released two albums of fidgety electro-rock under the name Bradley, and his initial demos for the new songs were similarly filled with buzzing synthesizers and glitchy, syncopated drum machines. This material got a drastic overhaul, however, once he began collaborating with friends in Vancouver. "I tried out a couple of the tunes with a full band, instead of just programming beats in my bedroom," he explains. "It totally took my brain to a different level. Everybody became such a huge part of the sound." During the sessions, Hunting's lineup included Paul Rigby (Neko Case, A.C. Newman), drummer/co-producer John Raham (The Be Good Tanyas, Kelly Joe Phelps), Jessica Yliruusi and violinist Jesse Zubot (Dan Mangan, Stars). The lush, cinematic arrangements were further fleshed out with input from Mother Mother frontman Ryan Guldemond, pianist Mike Kenney, bassist Darren Parris, local songwriter Dustin Bentall, and banjoist/pedal steel player John Ellis (Jeremy Fisher, Ridley Bent). The bulk of the instruments were recorded live to tape at Vancouver's Afterlife Studio, imbuing the tracks with an organic warmth that was miles away from the synth-frazzled initial demos. Acoustic opener "Aleen Obscene" sets a tone of heartbroken resignation, with Ferguson sighing, "They said she died in Miami / Who cares." The crunchy "Patti" is heavier and more upbeat, with distorted rock guitars augmented by tinkling glockenspiel and textured strings, while a sinister version of "Everytime I'm with You" (originally by Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse) is a rare moment that harkens back to Ferguson's electronic origins. The mood on these tracks is heavyhearted, but Ferguson's sorrow is comforting rather than alienating. "The songs are sad, yet hopeful," he reflects. "Some of my favourite states have been melancholy. There's a certain kind of relief when you're in a breakup. There's something about it that makes me feel alive." Whether strumming an acoustic guitar or stitching together frantic beats, Ferguson has proven himself a master of beautiful melodies and plaintive emotions. With the help of his collaborators on Hunting, his songs have never sounded so pure.

Search | Add | 8 | Christer Falck | Norwegian record label manager/TV personality/enfant terrible. After winning the Robinson Expedition (the Norwegian equivalent of reality show "Survivor") in 1999 and hosting the show for several years afterwards, he earned the nickname "riksklysa" (The National Asshole) for his unscrupulous behaviour. He was also one of the many participants in the Norwegian "hip hop war" in the late 90's, which Falck withdrew from after someone urinated on his leg on a concert. Currently, Falck runs the record label [l=C+C Records] and is involved in the occasional public scandal, such as revealing how easy it is to manipulate the Norwegian Top 25 singles list. According to Falck the record labels did that repeatedly for their own promotional ends. Falck fittingly provided the vocals for C+C band Snuten's rendition of Destiny's Child's "Survivor" in 2004.

Search | Add | 8 | Los Pibes Trujillo | Ecuatorian brothers Marco Oswaldo, Luis Enrique and Juan Ernesto Trujillo Echanique are better well known for their Christmas Carols album as "Los Pibes Trujillo". The artistic name of the group (Pibes Trujillo) was inherited from one first intent that formed their father with a close relative. Their artistic beginnings were given at "Pablo Julián Gutiérrez" school, in "America" neighborhood of Quito downtown. Their musical leap gave them from the school to the Perpetual Socorro Church in the same neighborhood, the church organist encouraged them to sing Christmas Carols. They were announced in some radio shows in Quito (Radio Tarqui), as well as in broadcast of other radio stations such as Radio Democracia (Quito), Radio Cristal (Guayaquil), Emisora El Prado (Riobamba) and even in the "Julio César Hidalgo" coliseum in Quito. They become known by Segundo Bautista, a non-seer artist that performs keyboards and guitar with whom they recorded a tape demo for send it to Mr. José Domingo Feraud Guzmán (founder of J. D. Feraud Guzman Recordings) in Guayaquil city, they recorded in 1961 a Long Play album in which were included 10 Christmas Carols tracks, also recorded 5 mini discs of 45 RPM. Their only and unique album printed and titled "Dulce Jesus Mio" becomes a classic Christmas Carols in Ecuador that practically has been immortalized into the whole Ecuatorian music. Unfortunately the Trujillo brothers in their childhood didn't had the professional support to continue their career, according to themselves they had too much regret with an uncle of them that was their "manager", this man was acting without scruple (because they were orphans of father and mother), exploited them in such a way that they did not perceive any money gain, yet being the main stars of the spectacle.

He is a well-known religious musician, having worked as a producer on albums by singers and bands such as Rayssa & Ravel, Shirley Carvalhaes, Mara Lima, Damares and Lauriete. In the category, the producer was still competing with three other albums: Apocalypse (Damares), Abençoado (Mara Lima) and Não Pare de Adorar (Shirley Carvalhaes). He was a candidate for councilor in Sorocaba (SP) in 2016, but lost the elections. Melk had been married for years to singer and songwriter Vanilda Bordieri, with whom he divorced in 2013. Search | Add | 8 | The Easy Aces Five | Easy Aces | The group's leader, fiddler William (Bill) Boychuk, formed the band in the 1940s or 1950s. Based in the Canadian province of Alberta, they played thousands of weddings, dances, anniversaries, and house parties. They ceased performing in the late 1960s, when Bill relocated to the province of British Columbia. The group recorded over 102 original Ukrainian selections: fifteen 78 rpm records, two 45 rpm records, and five LP records on the Stinson, Arrex, DSF, Heritage, and V-Records labels. Some selections featured a full band and others reverted to the traditional instrumentation for a village wedding band: violin, tsymbaly, and drum. The band's 1955 recording of "The Early Bird of Spring" was used for many years as the theme song for CFCW Radio's Ukrainian Hour program (based in the city of Edmonton, Alberta). |

Search | Add | 8 | Nick Bat | Stefan Timmermans | At the age of 15 I started writing some lyrics. The first one I wrote was No Future. That was 1981. From there on together with Danny Garmijn I started Dance Of Death. In 1982 Danny moved to another genre but his brother Franky entered the band. The name changed to Sisters Sex Haus. Mainly Franky and I were making music but at some point Glenn Rotsaert and Yves Beaumont joined the band. Glenn left after a year to play in other bands like Thin Line Men, Revenge 88 and Marky Ramone. Yves Beaumont moved further to become a painter. Around 1987 the band disolved into The Sons Of Eveline, again Franky and myself. 2 songs were recorded but the same year I jumped into a pop band together with my neighbour Nancy Zwaenepoel. But school, and joining the army resulted in stopping making music. It was in 1992 at work that I came across Guido Bos (ex Siglo XX). From there on we formed Wild Green Fiendy Liquid. But in 1996 it ended being both fed up with guitars. In 2000 when computers became more important into making music Guido and I formed Joy Luck Club. From pop to experimental to industrial to pure house and techno. What a ride it was. But in 2004 we stopped the band and were thinking of picking up the guitars again. 2005 until now we formed Under A Purple Sky. Resulting in pure Goth. In 2006 the first single Embrace resulted in a club hit and can still be heard on Goth radio Cathedral 13. Strobelight Records were promoting the genre and the New Dark Age compilations were a massive success in the genre. We were lucky to be on number 3. From there on the name became well known resulting on other compilations and even been seen in books. What a ride... |

Search | Add | 8 | Ensemble Choral Du Bout-Du-Monde | Founded in 1977, the L’Ensemble Choral du Bout du Monde (the "World’s End Choir") brought together traditional instrumental performers and over a hundred vocalists from over forty native choral groups throughout Brittany, the celebrated Breton province in Northern France. Accompanied by bagpipes, keyboards, harps, guitars, flutes, claviers, percussion, conremuse, and the Grand Organ of the Landévennec Abbey, the ensemble keeps the native music alive through both traditional and original choral music in their Breton language (the Celtic dialect of Brittany). Since 1989, composer, musician, and arranger Christian Desbordes has led the ensemble. In 1991, Desbordes composed the music for a theatrical production, La passion Celtique / Ar Basion Vras. They recorded albums in 1992 and 1994, and in 1997, L’Ensemble Choral du Bout du Monde recorded Noëls Celtiques: Christmas Music from Brittany for Green Linnet, which won AFIM’s “Best Seasonal Music Album” in 1998.

Search | Add | 8 | Laurens Tol | Laurens Tol | Laurens Tol is only 28 years old, but has become an integral part of the Volendam music scene. The bass player is involved in the lion's share of local musical projects. Although he graduated from the Conservatory five years ago, he still studies his instrument every day. This institution has done him no harm. "What I really thought was a great honor, for example, was raiding the 3JS," the musician proudly explains. Laurens has now reached a new milestone. His debut album, entitled The Four Trees, is complete and will be presented next Friday. By Kevin Mooijer In 2013 the Volendammer unknowingly writes the first song for the piece that would become his debut album five years later. ,, At the time I was very active with improvisation lessons from a good guitarist. After a few sessions, the teacher asked me to come up with my own piece a week later. I tried and actually liked it. ”Laurens got the taste for it and often ventured to write instrumental compositions. ,, At one point I had dozens of pieces on my computer and then the idea of making a record came up carefully. Once that thought is alive, you start using it much more intensively. Songs are improved and you want to create a certain line in the album, so it takes a lot more time. " There is good reason why The Four Trees is an instrumental album in a jazz atmosphere. ,, I really like to solo and improvise. You can hear that on the album, also with the other cooperating musicians. Whereas in pop music, for example, you are primarily supporting as a musician, in jazz you have room for improvisation. ” Despite the fact that jazz is often regarded as heavy music, it appears that Laurens ’album is experienced as very accessible. ,, Various people, both music lovers and musicians, have already touched on me with positive reactions about the atmosphere of the music. In the early stages it felt a bit uncomfortable to make this album, because I am used to playing music that appeals to me. So I am very happy that a lot of people like it. " Four instruments can be heard on The Four Trees; the bass guitar, guitar, alto saxophone and drums. The musicians who play the instruments are (old) acquaintances of Laurens from the music world. ,, For such a project as musicians it is important that you have a good click with each other. The boys who participated in this album vary in age between their twenties and fifties. They are all great guests and moreover virtuosos. ”In addition to Laurens Tol on the bass guitar, you can hear Tom Rutgers (drums), Florian Hierdeis (guitar) and Erik van der Weijden (alto saxophone). ,, I am really proud of the end result. As a bass player you have the possibility to record your own album in the studio, that is such a special experience. Nobody takes that away from me anymore. " |

Search | Add | 8 | LCM! | Lucas Carmona Moreno | A rich soundscape of euphoric resonance beckons us to Cordoba, Spain. Hypnotized by the intoxicating beats, we arrive at the studio of Lucas Carmona, better known as LCM!, producer/DJ. Upon meeting Lucas, one can only wonder how a young man can hold within him the secrets of life yet to unfold. His progressive bass grooves, layering of rich harmonic chords and lush string arrangements create sizzling mixes intensifying each unforgettable experience. Evident of his passion for music, Lucas has produced in the past 7 years, various electronic genres such as progressive, trance, breakbeat, techno and house. He holds an impressive discography with more than 50 published works around the globe on labels such as DHV Records (USA), Sound Assault Music (UK), Start Stop Records (Belgium), Bit Music (Spain), Blue Chrome Recordings (USA), Dubplate Records(Spain), just to name a few. Some of his musical influences are Vangelis, Jean Michael Jarre and Mike Oldfeld. But greatly inspired by the nectars of life, this sensitive artist hears music everywhere…in the air he breathes, sounds he hears, food he tastes and what he touches. In return, Lucas Carmona takes us on a journey, sharing his experiences through music that touches our minds and moves our bodies and souls. Versatility of Lucas Carmona led him to create scintillating breakbeats and sub styles under the alias of Ignosis. His main style is setting the south of Spain on fire with a lush "trancy" touch and long titillating build-ups producing electronic scene favorites like "Beauty of Life", "Lovin'" You" and "Retrofeeling". Fresh off the presses is the latest album FIRE, which features three mixes: the original mix by T.A.G., Philip Emanuel's house mix, and a breakbeat mix by Ruben Carr and Harout Pogossian with Ignosis. This amazing song will definitely cause everyone to be on "Fire." The prolific world of Lucas brings excitement to the electronic scene with future productions. Lucas/LCM!, along with Harout Pogossian and Ruben Carr will bring their individual mesmerizing styles together to remix the song titled "Ode to Our", written and produced by Sandra Collins, Jason Blum, and Scott Giaquinta on DHV Records later in 2004. With new adventures taking him beyond the horizon, we wait with anticipation for the beats and the grooves his stories will tell. Rays of light shine a pathway to the future for all who want to experience a story, a journey…life through the music of Lucas Carmona. |

Within a year their first full length album Certain Slow Murder was released as well as the four song Keys EP. The project bloomed and gathered musicians Jeff Ayers and Dustin Alexander, and in 2010 they collectively released the Stranger On A Damned Staircase album (produced by Don Fury) and another EP titled LongPig shortly after. Skeletons in the Piano added guitarist Brad Thibodeau, dancers Katarra Peterson and Tatiana Morales, and signed with Magnetic Eye Records in the Summer of 2012. They immediately began work on a third full length, the Please Don't Die LP which was released early May 2013. They disbanded in February 2014.

Un univers assez sombre, où calme et sérénité rivalisent avec bruit et violence, en un grand écart permanent. De l'ambiant "noisy" et expérimental, pour amateur de cauchemars colorés. |
