Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 8 | Eugene "Luigi" Louis | Eugene Louis Faccuito | American jazz dancer, choreographer, teacher, and innovator who created the jazz exercise technique (March 20, 1925 – April 7, 2015). The Luigi Warm Up Technique is a training program that promotes body alignment, balance, core strength, and "feeling from the inside". It is also used for rehabilitation. This method became the world's first standard technique for teaching jazz and musical theater dance. Faccuito developed the technique, which consists of a series of ballet-based exercises, for his rehabilitation after suffering paralyzing injuries in a car accident at the age of 21. He couldn't stop dancing, so he first learned to regain control of his body by what he uses as a cornerstone of his technique – namely, to "lengthen and stretch the body without strain" and "put the good side into the bad side". He then focused on a way "to stabilize himself – as if he were pressing down on an invisible (dance) barre". He went on to have a successful dance career and became a world-renowned jazz teacher. |

| Search | Add | 8 | Graham Haynes / Hardedge | Graham Haynes / Hardedge was a collaborative project of [a=Graham Haynes] and [a=Hardedge]. The duo recorded and released eight live albums between 2005 and 2010, exploring the inner-workings of sound and synthesis and featuring dense musical soundscapes, unrestricted freedom of movement, vibrant and rich sonic textures. The son of famous jazz drummer [a=Roy Haynes], Graham was surrounded by jazz his whole childhood. While Haynes' main instrument is the cornet, he is mostly working with electronic processing to create subtle sonic environments. Haynes combines compelling, hypnotic horn lines, experimental post-techno rhythms, world music grooves and ambient textures in his sonic output. Sound designer [a=Velibor Pedevski], better known under [a=Hardedge] alias, is working in the realms of live dark electronic music. His experimental approach to sound, space, and structure is inspired and based on the fundamental principles of the Chicago's A.A.C.M. creative thinkers, especially their revolutionary multi-directional, non-progressive approach, and the use of silence as a musical element. Together with Graham Haynes, Hardedge created psychedelic-like aural landscapes, made up of polyrhythms and random, transient frequencies. | |
| Search | Add | 8 | Евгений Кононенко | Евгений Кононенко | DJ Kononenko (Евгений Кононенко). Любимые стили: House, Trance, Progressive Trance, Tech House, Tribal House, Electro. Flash.K, Mr. BIOS, Alarm Bell, Zero Time, Cross-Fire, Stop All Button, Def Beat, Peak Factor, Via Net Loss, Freedom of Access, Mixing Booth, Dance Algorithm, DJ Kononenko. Под этими именами записаны несколько отдельных треков, который были включены в различные компиляции (Future Russian Trance/ Future Russian House/DJ at Work by DJ NIKK mix), |

| Search | Add | 8 | de dormitor | Our biggest inspiration source is the Universe. It doesn't matter what genre we get hooked on, we just tend to get really deep and spacy in our music. And, come on, what's deeper than space? De Dormitor stands for two things: first, our netlabel, and the second, an alias that we use to mysteriously release either solo or collab work under the same name, when we want to. | Search | Add | 8 | Jimmy Reeves Jr. | Blues singer and guitarist, who recorded an LP for Chess/Checker in Chicago, Illinois, in 1970. It's not easy to find info about Jimmy Reeves Jr. The following article sheds some light on the album - "One other session [from Walter Horton] that merits attention from this period is a Chess LP done under the name of guitarist Jimmy Reeves Jr., who as his name alludes, was a young Jimmy Reed lookalike and soundalike, complete with a photograph of rack mounted harmonica around his neck. The session was a straight Willie Dixon affair that featured a few Reed titles and a lot of Willie's songbook. Fortunately, M.T. Murphy was the lead guitarist and Shakey [Walter Horton] performed some outstanding sympathetic backing in tandem with pianist Lafayette Leake or Sunnyland Slim. Reeves Jr., the star of the session, was relegated to vocals. This session appeared only briefly on vinyl, then disappeared presumably due to poor sales, and a lingering aftertaste of bad Jimmy Reed clones that had exhausted their market attraction. This type of session is a good example of how a mediocre artist (Reeves Jr.) can be rescued from oblivion by a good backing group, a task that Walter Horton handled measurably, several times during his career". - from http://www.ilpopolodelblues.com/bman/horton.html | |

Don’s cartoons were frequently included in editions of GCC and many were featured in the tabloid newspaper [l2103616] between 1971 and 2000, all of which can be found in the pages of Steve Vickers’ book, “The Art of Drum Corps World.” In addition to his work with the Optimists, he found time to work with both the Ontario and Canadian Drum Corps Associations, serving as a photographer, publicity director and board member. In his spare time he wrote articles for various drum corps publications, produced the artwork for a number of record albums (almost three dozen for the Revere, MA-based Fleetwood label) as well as designing posters and doing the program artwork for a variety of contests. |

| Search | Add | 8 | Vadim Pantin | Вадим Пантин | Vadim Pantin is a composer and multi instrumentalist. He was born on November 14, 1988 in Saint Petersburg (Russia). Vadim Pantin is the founder of several musical projects (Abjective, Amachi, DomainMeta, Sejectiøn), the sound-designer, the producer and the co-owner of the British label [l=Eonian Autumn Records]. His mother had got choreographic education and his father was a drummer. Vadim has a elder brother Eugene Pantin, with whom he created musical project Abjective. When Vadim was seven years old, when the family moved to the south of Russia, where Vadim went and graduated from high school. In spite of the musical family in childhood Vadim studied sculpture and graduated from art school, and studied design at the University. In adolescence sculpture passion transformed into a sound research. He started looking for guitar chords borrowed from friend and learned the musical software like Cubase. Pantin wrote his first compositions when he was sixteen years old and was encouraged to develop his natural talents. During this period he like any teenager was looking for himself, his life of use, and the search led him to a life in a monastery, where he spent six months. This period gave aspiring musician faith in their own strength, the ascetic monastic routine helped to temper the character. During obedience Vadim sang in the choir. However, it was only a period, and the walls of religion are not sufficient for artist with a broad vision, so six months later he returned to the familiar life and moved to his hometown of St. Petersburg. Here in cultural capital of Russia he started to collaborate with different artists, made projects with creative association Outsiders Club, joined to St. Petersburg Orchestra of improvisation for some concerts, composed music for music for photo exibitions, short films, video games and other projects. For now arsenal of tools expanded to Logic Pro, Adobe Audition, Pro tools, Ableton live. Vadim Pantin plays a few musical instruments, uses unique devices what were made by his friend special for and sings on texts written by his wife. He collaborates with various musicians from such labels as Acre Recordings (UK), tonAtom (GE), Eonian Autumn Records (UK), Tympanik Audio (USA) and others. His career includes a wide range of composition genres for various tasks, making him a versatile, prolific musician. His music has no bounds. |

| Search | Add | 8 | Борис Дейнека | Борис Степанович Дейнека <Boris Stepanovitch Deyneka> | Boris Deyneka (1902, Warsaw, Congress Kingdom of Poland — 1986, Moscow, USSR) was a Soviet opera bass, popular singer, the People's Artist of Komi ASSR, and the victim of political repressions. Residing in Moscow since his youth, Deyneka studied at GITIS and [l=Moscow Conservatory], and was exceedingly popular from the early 1930s to the Second World War outbreak. Boris frequented the most prestigious stages, like Stanislavski & Nemirovich-Danchenko Theatre, and toured extensively with the leading Soviet ensembles, such as All-Union Radio Symphony Orchestra and Moscow Military District Song and Dance Ensemble. His rendition of Isaak Dunaevsky's 1936 megahit Wide is My Motherland ("Широка страна моя родная") would open the daily All-Union Radio morning broadcast across the entire USSR, solidifying Deyneka's nationwide acclaim as a household name. He released a handful of 78RPM singles on Aprelevskii Zavod and other gramophone labels. In 1942, Deyneka was arrested and prosecuted for "counter-revolutionary activities." The exact circumstances are still disputed today, and most sources typically cite an anonymous tip — allegedly, someone overheard Boris calling [a=Joseph Stalin] a "scumbag" in private conversations and notified the authorities. In 2008, a Soviet-Russian investigative journalist, Arkady Vaksberg (1927—2011), proposed an alternative story in the Bolshoi Theater of War documentary on TV 'Kultura' channel. He claimed Deyneka wasn't innocent per se and indeed planned to defect from the Soviet Union. Boris had an affluent "dacha" summerhouse (one of customary governmental perks for distinguished USSR artists) near Manikhino village, northwest of Moscow — right where the active WWII frontline was in December 1941. Thus, a few of Deyneka's fellow artists and dacha neighbors, including Vsevolod Blumenthal-Tamarin, Aleksander Volkov, and Ivan Zhadan, purposefully stayed in Manikhino to voluntarily surrender to retreating German troops and asked for political asylum abroad. Allegedly, Deyneka intended to follow the same "escape route," but military police stopped Boris outside of Moscow, in a cargo van loaded with all valuable belongings, including a pearl-white concert grand piano, and promptly arrested him for treason. In light of prior accomplishments, Deyneka had his death sentence commuted to a 10-year prison term with confiscation of all assets, and was transferred to Vorkuta labor camp in the Komi ASSR, an extremely remote coal-mining town just north of the Arctic Circle. In 1943, one of his fellow inmates, ex-[l=Bolshoi Theatre] stage director and [l=Moscow Conservatory] professor Boris Mordvinov (1899—1953), petitioned the prison administration and got a new "rehabilitation program" approved, an impromptu theatrical troupe; with dozens of talented Soviet artists imprisoned in WWII-era repressions, the so-called Barbwire Theater ("Театр за колючей проволокой") soon assembled quite an impressive cast. Deyneka participated in countless operas, operettas, variety shows, and educational concert-lectures staged at the Barbwire Theater. He appeared as Méphistophélès in Gounod's Faust, Basilio in Rossini's Barber of Seville, Prince Gremin in Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin, Sparafucile in Verdi's Rigoletto, and sang leading male characters in several operettas by [a=Emmerich Kálmán]. In late June 1945, Boris Deyneka even gave a solo recital in three acts. (After the fall of the Soviet Union, the "Barbwire Theater" company became the foundation for the present-day Vorkuta State Drama Theatre.) After his release in 1953, Deyneka settled in Syktyvkar, the Komi Republic's capital in northeast European Russia, with a far less extreme climate, over 900 kilometers (560 miles) south of Vorkuta. As the former political convict, Boris was bound by the infamous "101st kilometer" rule, prohibited from staying in a 100-km vicinity of any large city. In August 1958, he participated in the creation of Syktykvar municipal music theater; he also had a minor appearance on Komi: My Northern Hemisphere LP compilation. In 1962, after the notorious "political" Article 58 of the Soviet penal code was discontinued and all victims retroactively rehabilitated, 60-year-old Boris, who had already retired, finally came back to Moscow. |

| Search | Add | 8 | Nick Bat | Stefan Timmermans | At the age of 15 I started writing some lyrics. The first one I wrote was No Future. That was 1981. From there on together with Danny Garmijn I started Dance Of Death. In 1982 Danny moved to another genre but his brother Franky entered the band. The name changed to Sisters Sex Haus. Mainly Franky and I were making music but at some point Glenn Rotsaert and Yves Beaumont joined the band. Glenn left after a year to play in other bands like Thin Line Men, Revenge 88 and Marky Ramone. Yves Beaumont moved further to become a painter. Around 1987 the band disolved into The Sons Of Eveline, again Franky and myself. 2 songs were recorded but the same year I jumped into a pop band together with my neighbour Nancy Zwaenepoel. But school, and joining the army resulted in stopping making music. It was in 1992 at work that I came across Guido Bos (ex Siglo XX). From there on we formed Wild Green Fiendy Liquid. But in 1996 it ended being both fed up with guitars. In 2000 when computers became more important into making music Guido and I formed Joy Luck Club. From pop to experimental to industrial to pure house and techno. What a ride it was. But in 2004 we stopped the band and were thinking of picking up the guitars again. 2005 until now we formed Under A Purple Sky. Resulting in pure Goth. In 2006 the first single Embrace resulted in a club hit and can still be heard on Goth radio Cathedral 13. Strobelight Records were promoting the genre and the New Dark Age compilations were a massive success in the genre. We were lucky to be on number 3. From there on the name became well known resulting on other compilations and even been seen in books. What a ride... |
