Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 8 | The Skull School | Alving Marruffo | The Skull School is a musical project by Venezuelan musician and producer Alving Marruffo. The project started as a hobby in 2010 but quickly turned into a serious way of making music. The Skull School has released four albums. In 2011 Alving started S5 Records and released Noise, The Skull School's debut LP. Noise is a raw experimental album that features a very lo-fi sound and almost unfinished production, using samples from many tracks of different genres. This sample technique defined his future releases, like No Faces. Released in 2012, No Faces was Alving's second album as The Skull School. On this album, Alving experimented with vocal samples and began to pay more attention to the details, which resulted in a better produced record compared to his debut. The Skull School also made his first video, it was a self-produced video for the track "Le Contrôleur". In 2013, S5 Records merged with Eight Recordings and later that year The Skull School started to work on his third album, High Sounding Waves, which came out on March of 2014. High Sounding Waves represented a big step for The Skull School's carreer because it took his production techniques to a whole new level and improved the quality of the record, and while his other two LPs only contained songs made out of sampes and experimentation, High Sounding Waves was the first Skull School album to feature original compositions along with his signature sample work. On December of that year, The Skull School released a video for the song "Contact (The Report)" and like his first video, it was also produced by Alving Marruffo. Said video received a nomination at the Pepsi Music Awards 2015 in the category Electronic Video of the Year. On October of 2015, The Skull School published This Is The Aftermath, his fourth album, which marks a new beginning that feels like a debut to Alving. In this new album, Alving worked with original compositions on all the tracks and developed a new sound with a large presence of synths and 80s influence, that makes this release a lot more professional and conventional, music wise and production wise. This album is the first to feature guests artists and is his second album released by Eight Recordings. In 2016, The Skull School was nominated again at the Pepsi Music Awards, this time receiving three nominations: Electronic Song of the Year for his song with Maxilar Break Down "Nos Vemos Entonces", Electronic Album of the Year for his fourth album This Is The Aftermath and Electronic Artist of the Year. |

Search | Add | 8 | Dario Lupo | Dario Lupo | Dario Lupo is a musician born in Salerno, Italy, based in Berlin, Germany. He creates "emotional, nostalgic ambient music featuring larger-than-space reverbs". Since 2014 his main project is "Chasing Dreams", made of slow, nostalgic compositions filled with field recordings, effected guitars and mellow soundscapes. He has another project, "Need a Name", based on deep, electronic sound design marked by synths, arpeggios, glitchy beats and evolving sequences. In 2015, he also started another one called "Katahimikan": an ambient/drone project. It's based on the sampling of his own music. Dario is also known for his old Trance productions as Tragida / Likuida / Colorspace. Search | Add | 8 | Dave Zupkovich | Dave Zupkovich | Popular American tamburitza player and band leader (b. January 5, 1920 Campbell, Ohio, USA - d. August 6, 1963) Dave studied violin at the early age of seven and soon after learned to play the banjo, guitar, and his trademark, the bugarija. At age 17 he joined the popular Yugoslav Serenaders of Cleveland, Ohio and did radio work with them on station WTAM in Cleveland. Always the organizer, Dave went to Detroit and formed a group which toured the eastern part of this country. Along came World War II, and Dave gave up his musical career to serve 39 months with the 13th and 82nd Airborne Divisions in the European theater of operations. His love for music compelled him to continue his music after the war, and he became a widely-known recording artist with Balkan Records, Continental, and RCA Victor. The big hits for Dave were Leti Leti, Charm of Your Beautiful Dark Eyes, Whistler's Polka, and many others. After a successful six-month nationwide tour and many other tours in the Midwest, Dave became recognized as the 'King of Tamburitza'. With the increased popularity of television, he got on the bandwagon and shortly became a known TV personality on many international programs. Fans from all over the country enjoyed seeing and hearing the singing and playing of the memorable Dave Zupkovich. During his musical years, Dave was fortunate to have the support of the best musicians and friends one could have, including Steve Pavlekovich, Tony and Steve Burich, Mirko Kolesar, Martin Kapugi, Johnny Krilcich, Tony and Lou Markulin, Joe Matasic, George Skrbina, Pete Radakovich, Joe Marmilich, and Julius Peskan. A tribute to a great artist whose name and music will live on and on, in a legendary sense. |

Search | Add | 8 | Graham Haynes / Hardedge | Graham Haynes / Hardedge was a collaborative project of [a=Graham Haynes] and [a=Hardedge]. The duo recorded and released eight live albums between 2005 and 2010, exploring the inner-workings of sound and synthesis and featuring dense musical soundscapes, unrestricted freedom of movement, vibrant and rich sonic textures. The son of famous jazz drummer [a=Roy Haynes], Graham was surrounded by jazz his whole childhood. While Haynes' main instrument is the cornet, he is mostly working with electronic processing to create subtle sonic environments. Haynes combines compelling, hypnotic horn lines, experimental post-techno rhythms, world music grooves and ambient textures in his sonic output. Sound designer [a=Velibor Pedevski], better known under [a=Hardedge] alias, is working in the realms of live dark electronic music. His experimental approach to sound, space, and structure is inspired and based on the fundamental principles of the Chicago's A.A.C.M. creative thinkers, especially their revolutionary multi-directional, non-progressive approach, and the use of silence as a musical element. Together with Graham Haynes, Hardedge created psychedelic-like aural landscapes, made up of polyrhythms and random, transient frequencies.
