Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Sharon Ben-Ezer | Eliot (born Sharon Ben-Ezer on October 19,1966) is an Israeli rock singer, vocalist and leader of the Pollyanna Frank band and DJ. She wrote and performed songs that critically touched on issues of sex, gender, chauvinism and feminism and criticized nationalism and militarism. The name "Elliot", which she adopted in the late 1980s, started as an affectionate nickname, because of her likeness to the dragon Eliot, from the musical film "Friends of the Dragon Eliot" from the 1970s.

Search | Add | 2 | Městský Dechový Orchestr Cheb | The Youth wind orchestra of the music school of Jindrich Jindrich in Cheb was established in the year 1958 by the conductor Václav Kucera. First the orchestra had had only 12 members but then it spread to the group of 60 - 80 members. The main merit on it had the first conductor of the orchestra Václav Kucera. The level was growing and early there was first success. The orchestra took part in many actions in the town but there were also paid many tributes to it in competitions in the whole country. In the year 1965 the orchestra took its first trip to a foreign country. Many exhibitions abroad followed then and the height was taking part in the festival in Norway in the year 1967. And just these qualities of the orchestra were the biggest reason for the origin of the festival FIJO Cheb. Václav Kucera and Jindrich Pravecek where among those who gave rise to this festival. When I have to name all countries which the orchestra have visited till this time I can not forget Austria, Hungary, Germany, Denmark, Belgium, Holland, Sweden, France, Switzerland USSR, Canada, Malaysia, China, etc. The orchestra achieved very big success in festival in Dijon, where it acquired the second place in the cathegory of adults, then in the festival in Haag, where it won the first prize. It recorded for Autria's televison and wireless and for the state's wireless in Norway. In competitons of the wind orchestras in Czechoslovakia it acquired the first place many times. In the year 1977 Mr. Kucera finished his activities in the orchestra and Mr. Novotný succeeded him. There were still very good results under his leading. Mr. Novotný finished his activity in the orchestra in the year 1989 and then after a 2-year-long pause when there was Mr. Eichler as the conductor, he came back and led the orchestra till 1994. In September 1994 the baton was undertaken by Mr. Smitek (graduate of the army conservatory and one of members of the orchestra in the past). Since the orchestra won a lot of competitions, the greatist was in 1999 three first place (concert, march and show contest), 2000 first place in show in Canada, in 2001 first place in Germany, in 2003 first place in Italy, silver sector in 2011 in Malaysia and gold sector in 2017 in USA. We are the only members of Czech of the World Asociation of Marching and Show Bands

Search | Add | 2 | Shirley Jester | Raised in a musical family - her father played in Arnold's Jazz Band downtown - she was playing the piano by the time she was 5. She had the ability to play anything by ear - almost instantly. While in high school at Our Lady of Angels in North College Hill, she began working part time as a staff pianist for WKRC-TV, going full time after her 1951 graduation. There, she played music for locally produced television shows. She also met George Palmer, who was then working at the station as a news anchor. The two were married in September 1962. At 25 she started playing in nightclubs, starting at the Coal Hole*, a popular club located in the now-defunct Sinton Hotel."Shirley did her homework. She made the Coal Hole a legitimate room," said Leo Underhill, former jazz disc jockey for WNOP. Over the next 40 years, Ms. Jester performed solo and with jazz groups all over Cincinnati and nationally. She had gigs at The Top of the Crown, in the former Clarion Hotel; the Iron Horse Inn in Glendale and at Kenwood Country Club.

Search | Add | 2 | Cheo Martinz | Cheo Martinz | Internos explores confinement sensations, voluntarily confinement, even worse, indicating the initiation of resignation of a hellish emotional cycle that starts ironically with hope; The initiating point where everything starts, you see opportunities, the great ideas show up and with them the one thousand and one ways to make then up. Everything illuminates, and in a creative climax point the limits arrive, the barriers, the borders trying to limit every dream. With courage they face themselves and after and intense resistance battle, the resignation arrives, advising, nearly whispering small suggestions based on past and frustrated experiences. And everything starts again: hope, frustration, resignation. Hope, frustration, resignation. And this immense, beautiful and macabre battlefield, as incredible it may be, has not gone out from your thoughts, there in your mind./Cheo Martinz credits |

Search | Add | 2 | Dr. Alphonse Mabuse | Mike Murphy | Doc Mabuse, a.k.a. Mike Murphy, is a St. Louis native and founding member of that city’s HEARding Cats artists’ collective. He makes a living designing software and hardware (“wares, soft to firm to hard,” as he puts it) but spends most of his time building synthesizers, which he uses to make wild and entirely left-field improvised music. The instruments, which he labels either “modules” or “electroniums” (meaning “a synthesizer that acts suspiciously like it’s broken”), have names like The Jackelope, The Feminine Prerogative-Based Control-Voltage Generator and il Viaggio di Marconi, the last of which is a gorgeous object built from a box of chocolates he once received for Christmas. Murphy is co-founder of HEARding Cats along with [a448161] (a former percussionist with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra and music director of the St. Louis New Music Circle), Davey Williams (an avant-garde guitarist and co-founder of The Improviser, a journal of experimental music) and the jazz pianist and North Little Rock native Chris Parker. |

Search | Add | 2 | Texas High Life | "When you go to a Texas High Life show for the first time, be ready to become addicted. The strong sounds and powerful song writing will leave you wanting more. Texas High Life got their start two years ago, when Mitch McBain (rhythm acoustic guitar) met Blake Myers (lead Vocals - Harmonica) at a local party in Cypress, Texas. The first time they met turned into a musical event. McBain had a guitar and was strumming it when Blake sat down, introduced himself, and asked, "do you know any Texas Country”, in which McBain replied, “I know Nightmare”, and the playing was on. For the next year and a half McBain and Myers would continue to collaborate on their music and songwriting. In April 2003, The Band was offered funding after an improv performance at a private party in Houston, thanks to the band that let us jam on their stage while they were on a break). Twenty minutes after their performance, they had a producer, and the band Texas High Life was born. Members were added from long friendship while living in Wimberley, Cypress and College Station Texas. Keith Binder on Drums - his brother Kevin on bass and Cory Pendleton -a good friend from the Hill Country, on electric guitar. Ever since their start, they have been rock’n venues around the Houston area; opening for the likes of Honeybrowne and Bleu Edmondson. Their distinct sound has influence from the previous two artists, along with Cory Morrow, Reckless Kelly, Mark Davis Manders, Willie Nelsen, Waylon Jennings and other Texas greats."

Search | Add | 2 | Jerusafunk | In 2009, band leaders Jessie Demaree and Chris Del Favero first met in Flagstaff AZ and thus began their 11 year music project. Then in 2012, they traveled for 2 years through Central and South America, performing, collecting records and instruments, and learning music from every country they visited. Returning the States in 2014, they revived the full band with new sounds and scores that no other group in Arizona had heard. With a horde of 9 to 11 incredible Arizona musicians, Jerusafunk dives deep into global psychedelia, conjuring an orgiastic sound influenced by Funk, Klezmer, Brazil, Ethiopia, Southeast Asia, Jazz, Afrobeat, Turkey, Mexico, and Colombia. Since then, they have self-funded 5 tours, 2 albums, 5 videos, and have performed with: George Clinton, March Fourth Marching Band, Harmar Superstar, Calexico, Brownout, and Combo Chimbita.

Search | Add | 2 | The Cult Of Aggemar | Metal band from Noord-Brabant, The Netherlands. Active since April 2012. 5 individuals who all had a vague vision with a date, a time and a place, a secret temple located somewhere in Dongen, this is where they met each other and found an ancient encrypted book. The book of "AGGEMAR". After translating the first pages the book appeared to contain rituals, spells, sheet music, prayers, stories and more about the ancient king Aggemar, his kingdom and his moon tribe. Aggemar forced the 5 individuals, from his kingdom, to found "The Cult of Aggemar", start a band and explore their new found religion. The members have to tell the story of the death of Aggemar, his thoughts and the wars that led to the downfall of his kingdom, his moon tribe and the end of the world. These events all took place well before the rise of dinosaurs and humans. Still, not everything is clear, because the translation is still in full swing to this day. The music of the cult are translations and narrations from the book of "Aggemar". Comparisons are made with Limp Bizkit, Iron Maiden, Korn and Body Count and they have common ground with groovy nu-rap metal, but they are also completely unique and authentic in their sound. According to stories from the audience, the performances are energetic, contain humour, obviously have a lot of fun on the stage and the singer could have been a rapper as well. Earlier celebrations took place with First Fight Down, Bestial Devastation, Buzz Rockington (and others) and were on Rocktober Fest, Sound of Wollukstock en Slim in de Lift.
