Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | The Potters Wood Kingswood Silver Band | Founded in 1892 as the Bristol East Temperance Band by George William White for the miners in the locality, the Band has had a continuous presence in local activities and wider afield. The White family, widely known in East Bristol, were heavily involved from the beginning in conducting, teaching, playing and administering the Band's affairs. The Band participated in various contests with the highlight of each year being the West of England Championships in Spring. The Band was consolidating its return to the Second section prior to the merger. Kingswood (Bristol) Band The Kingswood Bristol Band, as it is was last known, was formed in 1958 by Mr Herbert Sevier. Consisting initially of boys from the Potters Wood Methodist Church it went by the name of 'Kingswood and District Band'. The first rehearsal, taken by Herbert, was on 14th January 1959. The band rapidly grew in numbers and success, reaching the National Finals in London in 1966. It was also in 1966 that the now 'Potters Wood Kingswood Hill, Bristol Silver Band' amalgamated with the Albion Dockyard Silver Band who were also conducted by Herbert Sevier. The band's name now changed to the 'Kingswood (Potters Wood) Silver Band'. The band was now going from strength to strength, culminating in promotion to the Championship Section. The band secured sponsorship from local manufacturing company Bendix in 1976, a partnership that lasted over 20 years. 'The Bendix Kingswood Band' again reached Championship status in 1988. A severe lack of players almost caused the band to fold in the mid 1990's but, through the loyalty of the members, built its way back up. In 2000, the band was placed 1st in the regional championships held at the Riviera Centre, Torquay, becoming the Boosey & Hawkes National Brass Band Champions of the West of England (2nd Section) enabling them to compete in the National Finals in Preston. The band qualified again in 2001, again enabling them to compete in the National Finals. In this year both the Regionals and Finals were held in Torquay! Although throughout the banding world they became known as 'The Bendix Band', sponsorship from the Bendix company eventually ceased with the company's demise. With this in mind, in July 2006 the band changed its name to the 'Kingswood Bristol Band'. Thus maintaining its links to the community it regards as home.

Search | Add | 3 | The Wabash Jazzmen | This highly entertaining hot five came together in 1994 with the desire to create a new sound on the traditional jazz scene. They chose to go drumless and the front line is driven along by the flowing banjo playing of leader Mark Challinor, accompanied by the rhythmic string bass of Richard Vernon - a real powerhouse rhythm section from the band's youngsters! The front line of Ged Hone on trumpet, Mike Hayler on clarinet/tenor sax and Mike Pembroke on trombone play superbly as one during ensemble work but also demonstrate their years of experience, producing engaging solos.

Search | Add | 3 | Jean-Paul Lafitte | Jean-Paul Lafitte is a French composer, writer and singer, living between USA, Haiti and France. He first collaborated with Philippe Bréjean, Marc Fabien Bonnard, Patrick Lemaitre, Didier Barbelivien, Gerard Stern, Christian Géant and two top majors, Polydor and Barclay. During the nineties, Jean Paul met with few artists among the best of the so called "New Generation" and co-signed several songs released with John Doane from the band “Skandal” and Patrick Handal (Gitano), Fabrice Rouzier (Et Si Enfin, L'Exilé) and Lionel Volel (Le Mango Blues). He also was retained by the filmmaker Sacha Parisot to work on the movie score of "La Rebelle" with the title "La rebelle, c'est moi" interpreted by the talented Muriel Scott. Early 2000, Jean Paul wrote a piece of twelve songs for a Fund Raising Campain against Cancer. The Album "L'Hymne A La Vie" was a great success. In 2016 Reginald Policard offers to collaborate for a song interpreted by Ralph Thamar "Ebène est ta couleur", released in 2017 on Reginald Policard Album of the year "Mirage". “Ebène est ta couleur” contributed to the success of that album. Beginning 2020 Jean-Paul Lafitte signed with Paradise Label to collaborate with several artists. The first Christopher Nao / Jean-Paul Lafitte collaboration started with an original motion picture soundtrack "The Last Squaw".

Search | Add | 3 | Hilltop Holdout Bluegrass Band | Hilltop Holdout (aka Hilltop Holdout Bluegrass Band) was a country and bluegrass band from Brisbane, Australia. Hilltop Holdout was formed in 1976 with a number of Americans who were in Brisbane teaching. The line up at that time was Keith Ross on banjo, Bern Dell on guitar, and three Americans - Hunter Owens, Jim Farnham (sp?) and Nancy Hodgen. Rosanne Gare played fiddle. In 1978 they had a shake-up when the Americans went their separate ways and Roseanne left the group. John Djvorak joined them for a while and Mary Brettell was invited to join them as singer and rhythm guitarist when John left. Subsequently Mark Webber joined on bass player and Ian Dodd on mandolin. They played various festivals and on local television (ABC TV’s Country Music programme Country Roads). Other people who played with HHBB over the years were Mick Bohl, Mick Albeck, Chris Ridgway, Ewan Mackenzie, Wendy Reed, Geoff Adeney, George, Matt Harrison and Hugh Curtis.

Search | Add | 3 | Love Is A Ghost | Love As A Ghost evolved out of an ongoing collaboration between vocalist Char Elizabeth and Producer Tim Newman. Char and Tim first worked together on material for a forthcoming project by David J of Bauhaus. The work took Char’s voice and used it as an element in collage. Char and Tim continued to experiment with styles and techniques looking for their musical home. Everything fell into place when Tim worked on some material by musician and visual artist Craig Tattersall for Brian Records. Craig’s tape manipulations and work with texture was the final piece in the puzzle and Love is a Ghost was born.

Search | Add | 3 | Cin'atra | David Lee | Cinatra, born David Lee on November 29th, 1976; is no stranger to hard living. He was born into a poor family and lived in a low income housing project known as Holly Park. As he was growing up, he lived with various relatives through the years. He moved back with his birth mother when he was seven years old. He was a victim of child abuse and a single parent home. David ran away from home at the tender age of eleven. He spent most of his youth in foster care and group homes. David grew up on the Southside of Seattle; the streets had a big impact on his life. He got involved with local gangs and drug selling as a means of protection and making money. David experienced the harsh realities of the streets. He witnessed Death, Prostitution, Racism and Police Brutality. He lost friends to drugs, prison and gang violence. He knew the path that he was on was leading to a dead end. David Lee found an escape from the streets. He began writing poetry and listening to Hip Hop. He consumed his self with Hip Hop and realized that the art form was a way for him to express his self. He wrote his first rap song at the age of eleven while he was at school. The teacher found the lyrics and gave them to the school principle. The principle asked him where he got the song and David replied that he wrote the lyrics. The principle did not believe him. David got expelled from school for writing the song. Even though he was expelled, David saw it as a compliment that the principle thought that a real rapper wrote the song. Through the years David continued working on his writing capabilities and developing his rap style. David was influenced by such Hip Hop giants like Run-DMC, UTFO, Boogie Boys, Fat Boys, LL Cool J, Eazy-E, NWA, MC Breeze, Ice-T, King T, Just Ice, Geto Boys and Kool G. Rap. Hip Hop for David was a way to relate to the urban youth. He did not feel alone anymore; Hip Hop showed him that he was not the only one who lived a harsh life. David is all grownup now and has found his niche. He has built his style and image in the underground Hip Hop Scene. He goes by the moniker Cinatra; adapted from Frank Sinatra. He says the reason why he named himself that; was to set his self a goal in the music industry as a respected and credited lyricist and performer. He has been featured on fifteen underground releases since 1999. He has released one solo album entitled Itz Official. He has traveled and performed all over the United States. He built himself a good underground fan base in the US, Japan, Philippines as well as the Internet. Cinatra credits his underground success to being humble, intelligent and a true stage performer. He is a thought provoking lyricist, who delivers energetic, powerful and meaningful messages in his songs. He sees his self as a street teacher and educator for the younger generation. He set his self a mission to inspire and bring hope to the next generation of poor urban youth. His main goal is to be successful and provide opportunities through his music and record label. His record label is Deep Groove Entertainment, a grass roots company funded with his own money. The first release from Deep Groove Entertainment will be Cinatras second LP, Rhymez Emphasizing Actual Life The AudioBiography Of David (Mr. Cinatra) Lee. Cinatra sums up his latest album as a testimony to the streets and his harsh life. He says that this project means a lot to him and he enjoyed writing this album. Search | Add | 3 | Julielle | Giulia is a self-taught musician, born in ’94. She has a dog named Elle and started playing at 10. Her music is the result of a path alternated between the electronic music of rave parties, her passion for Edith Piaf and the moving poetry she inherited from her Neapolitan origins. Passionate about 00s and 10s electronic music (Son Lux, Flume, Bonobo) she cultivates since childhood her unconditional love for pop music and the Beatles. All of this merges in her new music project, Julielle, in which she portraits in music the emotions written in poems. Her first single is “Toys”, produced by GODBLESSCOMPUTERs. The second single is called “aliens and flowers”, produced by inude. In autumn she’ll release her first EP.

Search | Add | 3 | Kryzalid | Kryzalid are a young band from Northern France that released with Second Life a respectable debut album, even if the title makes you think that this should be already their album number two. Kryzalid call their music melodic thrash metal, and they are clearly influenced by late-Eighties power stuff like Megadeth and Annihilator, whose Alison Hell they cover to end the album. And that's where their main problem lies: they just don't have the song writing skills yet to make their songs memorable. The raw production, the harsh screamed vocals and the melodic guitar sound make for a nostalgic trip into heavy metal's glorious past, but the longer the album runs, the harder it gets to pay attention to details. Second Life is full of great riffs and sounds very authentic, what's lacking are just the ideas that keep you hooked. With a running time of one hour, you may wonder if this wouldn't have been a better album if it had been more compact? Second Life is by no means a bad album, even above average, it's just a pity that such a talented band doesn't have the routine yet to come over with better songs. If they keep working hard, I bet that there is more than just a small future lying ahead for Kryzalid. Old school thrashers may want to risk an ear.
