Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Tuzla | Tuzla was established at Istanbul Technical University in the last days of 2022. The group, which includes Yarkın Yorulmaz and Tolga Mamur, who have previously been involved in different formations together, tries to reflect the reflections of their feelings and thoughts in their daily lives through the filter of the districts they live in. Their new work "BÜYÜK DUYGULAR EP" uses elements of new wave, post-punk, darkwave, psychedelic rock and other musical styles to summarize the different directions Tuzla can go and the process of finding and shouting Tuzla's voice. By using stories, fictions and their own experiences in their lyrics, the band presents their spiritual world to their listeners in a more vivid, different and "Tuzla style".

Search | Add | 3 | Snehaprabha Pradhan | Snehaprabha Pradhan | Snehprabha Pradhan (actress, singer, screenplay writer, biographer) was very much part of the socialistic movie intelligentsia that roamed the planet in the ’30s and ’40s. Born around 1920s, she was the daughter Vitthalrao Pradhan and Tarabai. Like her contemporaries (Shanta Apte etc), Snehaprabha spent a culturally diverse childhood. The first 10 years of her life took her to Nagpur, Bombay, Poona, Delhi, Calcutta, Lahore and other places. As the story goes, by the age of 18, she was already fluent in 4 languages. Her love for animals was legendary. Dogs and cats and birds were her best friends, and she longed for the day when she would be a doctor, no doubt to take care of humans and animals alike. Sadly, she never went past a couple of years of college. It was probably around the late ’30s, that she got the first jolt of reality. Her father had left the family some years ago, and her mom Tarabai was taken ill, and could no longer support the family. Movies were the last thing on Snehprabha’s mind, but circumstances and good contacts i.e. Chimanbhai Desai of Bombay Talkies led to the first few assignments in films like Saubhagya (1940), Civil Marriage (1940), and Sajani (1940). Thanks to Chimanbhai Desai, she got the first lead role of her career opposite Kishore Sahu in Bombay Talkies’ Punarmilan (1940) – music by Ramchandra Pal with possibly some orchestral guidance by Saraswati Devi. The most popular song of Snehaprabha’s music career was “naacho naacho pyaare man ke mor”. Punarmilan became the biggest hit of her film career and it also introduced her to Kishore Sahu. They met, fell in love, and tied the knot, but the marriage lasted about a year. In the early ’40s, there she was, fending for herself all over again. The divorce made the tabloids. She was upset, and talked about responsible journalism, but did not go any further. Also around this time, she connected with the Master Vinayak’s circle. Coincidentally, a 13-year old Lata Dinanath Mangeshkar was desperately looking for a job around 1942. A Vinayak colleague (R.S. Junnarkar) was in the process of making Paahili Mangalaagaur (1942), and Snehaprabha fitted right in as the leading lady opposite Shahu Modak. The movie is a landmark because it got an A certificate on account of a suggestive bedroom sequence (dark screen, hushed background sounds). People saw this movie over and over again, and some even carried strong flashlights into the theatre, hoping to get more out of that one scene! Paahili Mangalaagaur was Lata’s first movie as a child actress. Snehaprabha and Lata sang a duet in this film, picturized on themselves. There is no question about it as Snehaprabha herself confirmed that in an early ’90s interview. Therfore, Snehprabha made history by singing the first ever duet with Lata. On Christmas day 1946, Tarabai died, a tired lady, very sick and very proud. Both of her parents had dedicated large parts of their lives to social work, particularly to the cause of literacy in India. That left no time for the material life. The daughter was always on her own, fiercely independent, utterly radical, outspoken, gentle, and strong. But this loss broke her. On one occasion, she tried to take her own life and failed. Sometime in the ’50s, Snehaprabha Pradhan married Dr. Shirodhkar, and came back to Bombay. She lived the last 40 years of her life in peace and relative oblivion, totally dedicated to social work and the stage. She died in 1993 |

Search | Add | 3 | Knurrhahn | This instrumental duo is dedicated to conversations between instrumental and electronic sound waves. It is a meeting of two musicians developing an improvised dialogue which melts sonic textures and musical gestures into manifestations of movement and stillness. Their aim is to lead the audience towards a practice of active listening within various figurations between silence and noise. The sublime timbres of the Paetzold-Recorder and other reed instruments meet pulsating oscillators, abstract sound layers and noise elements from analog and digital electronic instruments. This results in expressive to meditative acoustic formations with vigorous effect on the recipient.

Search | Add | 3 | Neal Kay | British heavy metal/hard rock DJ, producer, live sound engineer and concert promoter (b. 10 February 1950). Neal Kay was one of the forefathers of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) movement alongside [a=Tommy Vance] and [a=Geoff Barton]. From 1975 to 1980, Neal Kay, who has been DJ'ing at London youth clubs since the mid-sixties, managed a venue called "The Bandwagon Heavy Metal Soundhouse," originally in the back room of the Prince of Wales public house in Kingsbury, North London. With one of the city's loudest club PA sound systems (8 kW JBL/Martin speakers) and Kay's passion for hard-n-heavy music, the Bandwagon soon became the main center of attraction for metalheads. In August 1978, Neal Kay invited [a=Geoff Barton], a deputy editor of Sounds, England's leading music newspaper, to attend one of his Bandwagon nights. Barton was surprised to see a metal scene alive and blossoming in the era when punk seemingly dominated the mainstream. Sounds soon began publishing a weekly Heavy Metal chart, solely based on Kay's DJ requests at Bandwagon and featuring mainly pre-punk era bands: [a=UFO (5)], [a=Rush], [a=Scorpions], [a=Rainbow], etc. Other periodicals that covered the new underground movement included [l=Melody Maker]. In November '78, [a=Tommy Vance] launched his new radio program, "Friday Rock Show," on [l=BBC], also dedicated to heavy metal/hard-rock repertoire. In May 1979, Neal Kay organized a historical concert for [a=Angel Witch], [a=Iron Maiden], and [a=Samson (3)] at [l=The Music Machine] in London. Geoff Barton reviewed the event with a centerfold article in Sounds titled: "If You Want Blood (and Flashbombs and Dry Ice and Confetti) You Got It." Barton's boss and Sounds editor-in-chief, [a=Alan Lewis (2)], penned the ironic subtitle for the piece: "The New Wave Of British Heavy Metal: first in an occasional series by Deaf Barton;" and that's how a catchy NWOBHM term was born. With the media exposure and highly-publicized new "movement," Neal Kay became one of the UK's first high-caliber rock/metal DJs. He toured with [a=Black Sabbath], [a=Ronnie James Dio], [a=AC/DC], [a=Judas Priest], [a=Ted Nugent], [a=Motörhead] and other prominent acts, playing sets at venues from [l=Rainbow Theatre London] to [l=Hammersmith Odeon]. Kay participated in compiling and producing demo tapes for new unsigned bands at [l=Spaceward Studios] in Cambridge: [a=Saxon], [a=Praying Mantis (3)], Apocalypse and [a=Iron Maiden] (which soon landed a contract with [l=EMI], partially due to Neal Kay's efforts). In 1980, the label released [m=150039] LP compilation with an assortment of Soundhouse demos; Neal wrote liner notes and helped to compile the release. The same year, he appeared as an MC at the inaugural [l=Monsters Of Rock Festival]. During his Japanese tour with members of Praying Mantis, ex-Iron Maiden, and [a=The Sweet], Neal Kay arranged a collaboration with [l=Pony Canyon] label, resulting in the release of [r=13753360] CD compilation.

Search | Add | 3 | Larry Gore | Larry Gore (1923-1973) was a Bronx-born comedy writer and public relations man whose clients included stars such as John Wayne, Anita Ekberg, Red Skelton, Tina Louise and Tiny Tim -- he was publicist for the wedding of Tiny Tim to Miss Vicki on Johnny Carson's "Tonight Show." He wrote for MAD Magazine from the 1950s to the early 1970s, and was also MAD's first public relations man. Beginning sometime in the late 1950s he would sometimes get masthead credit as "Propaganda Minister" or being in charge of "Publicity Lies." Gore would plant fake newspaper column items reporting crazy things like MAD was going to publish a waterproof edition that could be read in the shower, or that its employees were paid in $2 bills. MAD publisher William Gaines perhaps paid him the highest complement possible in a 1960 interview: "I didn't think we needed a press agent, but Feldstein did. What Gore says embarasses me. I can't communicate with him. He's even madder than we are. But I suppose if we've got to have a press agent, we might as well have a Mad one." It is claimed by some that Larry Gore was the only MAD writer who was kicked off the magazine for being too Mad. He is credited with several famous back covers skewering Richard Nixon, some published posthumously by the magazine. Larry was also a comedy publisher in his own right. He wrote a truly looney newspaper comic strip called "Larry Gore's Thing" with MAD artist Bob Clarke providing the art. It ran from 1968 to 1972 in Newsday and was syndicated around the country as well for a while. Oh, yeah...he made some comedy records, too...
