Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Caxton Street Jazz Band | The Caxton Street Jazz Band in a jazz band from Brisbane, Australia. It was founded in Brisbane's inner west in 1977 and is today recognised both locally and internationally as one of Australia’s leading jazz bands. Now in its 40th year, the band presents hot, swinging jazz in a manner that elicits enthusiastic responses from listening and dancing audiences alike. Members of the band include some of Australia’s leading jazz players in their idiom, as well as two instrumentalists who are also vocalists. The band’s name derives from the location of its first venue, the Baroona Hall in Caxton St, Brisbane. The band rose to prominence in the ‘80s through its long running stint at the famous “Jazz ‘N Jug” sessions at Brisbane’s Caxton Hotel, as well as numerous appearances in this period at Australian Jazz Conventions and other Festivals. The band rose to prominence in the 80s thanks to its 11 year stint at the Jazz ‘n Jug sessions at the Caxton Hotel. These commenced in March ’81 and continued every Saturday until 1992 when the band split, although Bob Mair (drums) and Bernice Haydock (piano) took over the band name from that time. The band’s premier years in the 80s were probably 1981-4, when it became well-rehearsed, and popular with its repertoire of a blend of serious jazz and novelty numbers (the band played a total of 183 gigs in the year July 1981 to June 1982!). In the mid-80s, some of the longer term members left and were replaced by others who in turn moved on after a few years. The band then enjoyed stability in its lineup into the early 90s, but then a variety of players were used to make up the numbers into 1992. Naturally enough the personnel has changed a number of times over the years, although five of the current 6 members have been together since 2001. This recent continuity of players has contributed to the band’s reputation for being “tight and hot”.

Search | Add | 3 | Dryland Family Band | Dryland | Formed in 2014 of the best of pals, Dryland is not a myth. Through catchy, driving riffs riding a cloud of crunch, Dryland will guide the listener along a journey to populate the sun in a distant plane once inhabited by the Crab People, now ruled by the Moss Lord. Dryland exists somewhere in the space between Motörhead, Nick Cave, Red Fang, Danzig, and of course, Black Sabbath. Your mom will probably like them despite not liking "that kind of music." They released their first album, Self-Titled, in 2017 and are currently recording a new EP with producer+engineer Matt Bayles. |

Search | Add | 3 | Farmington Hill | Farmington Hill brings you country-fried indie rock from Southwest Colorado. Paul “Bubba” Iudice (acoustic guitar) and Erik Nordstrom (telecaster) have been collaborating since 2006, dusting off some old songs while creating new music about drinking, driving, friends that have passed away, love, heartbreak, the good life, and the not-so-good life. Kelly Rogers adds lap-steel to the mix. Jim Belcher lays down the bass, and David Sachs provides tasty drum licks. Jim and Dave have been part of the Durango music scene for quite some time, and we are honored that they joined the band in the spring of 2019. This is music suitable for both a raucous Saturday night and the accompanying Sunday hangover.

Search | Add | 3 | Una Keane | Úna Keane | Ambient Neoclassical Pianist / Composer Úna Keane mines deep. A classically trained pianist with a background in Tech, her work lives + breathes in a unique, multi-disciplinary space incorporating piano, electronics, movement & film. The Dubliner released critically-acclaimed Live Album 'Collaborations' at the end of 2020. Named Irish Album of the Year by Broadsheet.ie, it garnered a glowing 8.5/10 review from Hot Press and 4 stars from The Irish Times. It features work from her last 2 LPs, as well as some new work and in-the-flow improv. She played a headline show at Dublin's Pepper Canister Church on March 5th 2020 (a week before lockdown), and was joined on the night by some very special guests: Stephen Shannon, Liam Ó'Maonlaí, Lōwli, Gareth Quinn Redmond & Ronán Conroy. What ensued was a lot of improv ("unforgettable ... improvisation of the highest calibre" - Broadsheet.ie), between musicians playing with one another mostly for the first time. The concert was recorded, mixed and mastered by Adam KJ, and Úna & Adam co-produced. In June 2021 she founded UKM, a record label, and a Limited Edition Vinyl Pressing of ‘Collaborations’ is now available. |

Search | Add | 3 | Steve.e! | Steve Kasper | The ways of music lovers are actually not that inscrutable as you might think. At least Steve’s ways of musical preferences are pretty easy to reconstruct. In his home town Demmin on the Baltic Sea there was Hip-Hop at first. After he moved to Dresden, he danced his ass off at Drum’n’Bass parties and not long after he got into djing. Dresden’s small, unfortunately now defunct club legend L’Houp was the first location for his DJ sets which were still under the banner of rough Breakbeat at that time. After he discovered Dubstep, the parties became more numerous, bigger and musically versatile. His dedication to Dubstep is reflected in his more recent productions. In spite of his young age, he is up to every trick when it comes to producing hot tunes. Good proofs of that are not only the three releases on jamendo.com but also his constantly evolving live set. At Uncanny Valley he is responsible for the required twist, for example with his “Unvexed Dub” on UV010. As part of the Sub Sickness crew again, he is taking care of Dubstep in Dresden. from: http://www.uncannyvalley.de/artists/steve-kasper/ |

Search | Add | 3 | The Kapp Ivory Project | Kapp and Rachel met in Detroit in 1989 not long after Kapp came back from touring with The Winans and Rachel was still doing track dates with Kiara, an Arista recording artist. Kapp and Rachel started recording in various studios around the city trying to develop their own unique sound, but then decided to establish their own studio for greater consistency and accessibility. In the early 1990's, Rachel topped the state and performed on Star Search with Ed McMahon, where she reached the semi-finals. In the meantime, Kapp was working with people like Motown writer Barrett Strong and Parliament/ Funkadelic founding member Calvin Simon, both Rock & Roll Hall of Famers. They also teamed with a Detroit radio station personality and created the theme song for the Detroit Pistons at the time of their N.B.A. championship. They then collaborated with legendary techno-house DJ Kevin Saunderson, from Virgin Records recording artist Inner City, on The Reese Project. The first single Direct Me (Giant Records/Warner), featuring Rachel, went #1 for six weeks on the U.K. Billboard charts. The second single, Colour of Love (Giant Records/Warner), also featuring Rachel, went #3 for four weeks on the U.K. charts, as the full CD Faith, Hope & Clarity (Giant Records/Warner) was released. During the later 1990's, Kapp and Rachel produced and collaborated with a number of artists, including R&B, Jazz, Hip Hop, Gospel, Rap, Classical, and Country. In 1999, Kapp teamed with Kern Brantley from Crazy Joint (Bad Boy Records) and produced Lighthouse for the gospel choir New Direction on Word Records/Sony. Family Unit was formed later that year, developing a strong local Detroit following and a library of unreleased studio recordings. Since then, Kapp and Rachel's production work has been in constant demand, with Kapp's contributions on Put Your Hands Up In the Air (Westbound, 2001) by the Original P (Parliament/Funkadelic) being his most recent hit effort.
