Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026

Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Erika Lundahl Erika Lundahl Originally from the Willamette Valley of Oregon on Kalapuya land, Erika began performing in upstate New York in 2012. She returned to the tall trees and rugged wilderness of the Pacific Northwest in late 2013. She is a multidisciplinary musician and community organizer committed to low-carbon touring in her electric vehicle. Based on Coast Salish land in Seattle, Erika’s folk medicine roots in personal and collective histories of resilience, dancing between shadow and light to seek futures of abundance, possibility and healing. Her newest album “Messy, Blessed Infinity” is an exuberant love letter to the world, wrapped in notes that bend from energized folk rock to hushed spoken word poetry. Refracting like light through glass, the album celebrates Pacific Northwest resistance movements like the Fairy Creek Blockade and efforts to breach the Snake River dams, and then heads inward to embrace the soft animal body within, exploring the self with songs of grief, reckonings with intimacy, heartbreak, and self care. Record Crates United reviewed Erika’s 2020 album "Daughter, You're a Storyteller," saying: "..a stellar collection of deeply personal ballads and tributes to the heart. With songs that are inspired by the unlocking of the stories within our genetics, and seeking to explore our pasts to better understand our present adult minds and bodies."

Search Add 3 Hugh Ricks Hugh Alvin Ricks New Orleans artist (1939-2005) His designs for everything from early Jazzfest posters to Zatarain's spice labels, from the White Pages cover dedicated to the Aquarium of the Americas to the logos of the Hilton Hotel, were part of the New Orleans artistic landscape for decades. He applied his customary sense of dedication to his commercial art career, working tirelessly on a steady stream of high-profile commissions from the 1960s onward: The Crescent City Classic poster, the Albuquerque Balloon Festival poster, the Boston Marathon poster. He won so many design and art awards over the years that he eventually stopped entering such competitions. Ricks grew up in the Iberville housing project and lied about his age to enter the U.S. Marine Corps early. When his deception was discovered near the end of boot camp, he was forced to wait a few months before he endured the arduous training regime a second time. After his discharge from the service, he studied design at Delgado Community College while working as a security guard at NASA.

Search Add 3 Kavaro Owner of Sector Music and founder of Sector Cologne in 2013. Residing in Cologne, Kavaro is an exile from Leipzig. He has succumbed to his love of electronic music by the late 80s. In the early ’90s he lived in Munich where he became a bona-fide vinyl junkie, inspired by the local Techno community (Technomania, Ultraschall, Optimal Recordstore). After a few years’ hiatus and a relocation to Cologne, he reentered the scene in 2009. During his all-vinyl sets, always marked by a great variety styles, one can feel the inspiration he receives from Detroit Techno, Electro and New School Techno. His sets are usually a mixture of older tracks and newest tracks from the latest techno releases. Lately his dj sets are also affected from subtle industrial and experimental electronic music. From the beginning of 2013 Kavaro started his own techno event series named Sector in Cologne. In addition to the event he started Sector Music with his first own EP in July 2017.

Search Add 3 류시아 (2) 류시아 류시아 (Lusia) was a cyber singer project that was developed by South Korean company Hyundai Information in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Cyber singers around this time were not as popular as they are now with Vocaloid, due to not everyone having a computer in the 1990s and because it was extremely expensive to advertise them. Luisa was not the only cyber singer from Korea; Adam, developed by Adamsoft who was the first cyber singer from Korea and Cyda who was developed by Yesnet. The three of them were apart of a cyber singer lineup called the Cyber Idol Association (CIA), which was supposedly going to better the Korean entertainment industry's appearance and marketing strategies to consumers for Y2K. In addition, Japan had released their own cyber singer named Kyoko Date who would later debut in Korea as Diki in 1998. Like Vocaloids, Lusia and the other cyber singers were also given personality traits to make them more human-like and less robotic in nature. The Lusia project lasted until 2003 when the company decided to lay it off due to Lusia not getting enough recognition.
