Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025

Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 7 Plain Folly Irina Kühn Plain Folly is many things. Unadjusted, thoughtful, sometimes dreamy, sometimes eruptive. But above all: DIY as fuck exclusively. Irina Kühn aka Plain Folly writes her own songs, plays almost all instruments herself, even partly produces her own music. Her melancholic pulsating indie prism creates its very own niche between Fiona Apple, Phoebe Bridgers and Florence + the Machine, carried by her versatile voice and her artful piano craft. Thus, her music becomes strikingly deep, a surging ocean of associations and emotions, sometimes beautiful and sometimes threatening. There is light, but not without shadow. There is pain, but not without hope. Sometimes shape-shifting as feather-light, sometimes as driving indie pop with a focus on her powerful voice and her great talent on the black and white keys, sometimes as an eruptive rock catharsis, and sometimes as an urban trip-hop fairy-tale. Her album TALES OF A HUNDRED THOUGHTS sets self-doubt and transience to music, boldly facing the storms of life alone despite all their heaviness – a wholesome, musically beguiling act of self-empowerment. Plain Folly: against all odds forevermore. And a fabulously exciting indie discovery.

These things are our INSURANCE against death.” – Mortality Tables, ‘On Mortality, Immortality & Charles Ives’ (2022) E Peritia Ratio: reason from experience. Nothing happens without context. Every event has a catalyst. There is no such thing as a blank page. So it goes that each Mortality Tables Product must begin with an outline of an initial creative concept – a thought; a notion; a moment of serious whimsy; a considered reflection on life, memory, love, loss, trauma, death. We document those ideas, then invite collaborators to respond freely to them. They may ignore us. They may say no. They may say yes. Whoever we invite to participate shall be unencumbered by restriction, constraint, expectation, convention, limit or judgement. There are never any right or wrong answers, because there are no questions. There is nothing more than the idea and the response. Mortality Tables Est. Search Add 7 Chona Borromeo An aficionado of jazz music, Chona is not only a versatile and unique singer but she is a very prolific songwriter and composer. Music has always been a part of Chona Borromeo’s life. She has been singing for weddings and has been part of a church choir since the age of nine. It is a gift that she has carried and nurtured through the years. Fame however, has never been a part of her agenda. What her music and her life is that of love, worship and service, making it undeniable how deep and indelible her influence has been the lives of people she has come to call peers and most especially, family and friends. For many years, Chona had her humble beginnings on the stages of high-star hotels and prestigious establishments in Manila. A member of the FILSCAP since 2004, Chona is an accomplished songwriter and composer. Her song “Narito Lang Ako” won the Highly Commended Song Award in the 2004 ABS-CBN Himig Handog Songwriting Competition and was included in Vina Morales’ album Mamahalin Ka Nya. In 2006, she penned the powerful track, Simulan Natin, making the finals and thus being included in the Anti-Corruption Songwriting Competition and Album, a collaborative project of the Ombudsman and the British Embassy. Chona was also a “10-week Champion and Grand champion” at the Tanghalan ng Kampeon back in 1993. 2004 proved to be another pivotal year as Chona started to volunteer in Victory’s worship team. With God’s gift of music as a natural language for her, she served to communicate the love, power and majesty of Jesus to congregants. Known fondly as “ate Chona” she has become a mentor to fellow volunteers. Not only does she share her effective and honed musical know-how, she freely shares her life journey to friends and spiritual family, from being a free-spirited young adult to her current struggles and victories as a wife and mother, and as an all-around worshiper and child of God.

Search Add 7 Sebbers Lee Sebestyen maidstone, Britain (UK) Sebbers is a DJ, vocalist, Producer and Songwriter, hailing from Maidstone, Kent. After spending many years clubbing and taking in a huge variety of music he decided it was time to write, produce and recreate many of the styles he knew and loved. Without tuition, he learned guitar, how to sing and most importantly how to lay down huge beats with even bigger grooves! His house music career started with Russian label, Big Hug Records, signing his vocal bouncer 'Chocolate Clouds', which was remixed by notable Russian talent (Dan Moshu, Andre Zenkoff, Jose & Minola Ribera). Follow up track, 'Minimal Life' gained huge support and airplay in Europe. Sebbers soon connected with UK House legend, Nick Hook, one of the scene's stalwarts who has been around since the early days of House. His label Jeepers! has seen Sebbers' work recognised by the likes of Graham Gold, Jay Kay, Anna Kiss, So called scum bags, Jason chance, Danny chase, Hetto and 6" 7' and Martin Sharp. This success clinched him a DJ Residency at TechNoir, Brighton and interest from radio network, Ideal Club World.2013 saw his first EP for Arch44 Music, No Time for Worrying, new tracks for Jeepers! and Remixes due later in the year.

Search Add 7 CorruptionSound Eric Pillmayer Noise artist and video remixer. Prior to the start of the very first noise project "GxSxOxGxPx" (Grotesque Sounds Of Gore Presents), which started in February 2008, some audio experimentations and messing arounds (all lost) were made. On May 23, 2008, CorruptionSound created his youtube channel. It was used to upload the demos of his project, but for other kinds of videos as well. After abandoning GxSxOxGxPx in May 2009, AxBxNx became his main project that occasionally puts out releases up to this day, but the main focus was put on the video remixing. The name was chosen because of "corrupting" the sound. He's also known as KnorruptionSound.

Search Add 7 Trick-C Carmen Trick-C. (DJ,organisator, producer) First lady of Slovenian techno has been firmly stuck behind turntables for over a decade. As a DJ and party organiser she has established herself within the international campaign Urban Divas attracting ladies devoted to dance electronics and their adherents of various artistic expressions. Lately she has also been succeeding with her original production which, just like her sets, feeds on deep underground. * * * * * * * * * * If it's true that regular change of environment is of key importance for artists, the “mother of Prlekija techno” is on a good path to be printed in bold in clubbing annals. A girl form Štajerska born in Germany was assigned a music career at birth. Her mother decided to call her Claudia, but in the maternity ward she was crying so beautifully and loud that nurses changed her name to Carmen with regard to the opera of the same name, as she only slept if she was given earphones to cover her ears. A bit more than a quarter of a century later she is known as Trick-C and she wouldn't swap her earphones and the adrenaline that she experiences when putting the player needle on vinyl records for anything in the world. To win the title “the mummy of Prlekija techno” she worked hard at the beginning of her career as she was cultivating the hills around Ljutomer with new electro sounds, and later, having moved to Maribor and then to Ljubljana her network of partners and adherents grew constantly. With her companion in life DJ Point she worked a lot in Croatia, they were among the organisers of the first techno parties, and even now Trick-C continues to foster the cultural exchange with neighbours as a soloist. At least as much as a DJ she is known as an organiser of parties in clubs, including Lipa, K4, Channel Zero, Trust, ex Fun Factory, Klub Kaos and SubSub. Urban Divas is the name of her parties and at the same time a socially engaged international campaign, within which she and her adherents wish to provide dance floors with additional female touch: "As it is always difficult for us to get opportunities for regular performances I try to gather as many good female DJ's under one roof as possible. I favour long-term cooperations as such evenings are easier to promote, yet I pay a lot of attention to less renowned girls to provide them with an opportunity that I often didn't have." Trick-C has devoted the past few years intensely to creating her own music. The same as when working behind a turntable, she doesn't pay much respect to fashion trends, but rather build her own music story, which was always fed on alternative music. She follows this music philosophy in her latest track DeTour, which is closer to pristine techno than the impersonal music matrices that have lately seduced the majority of old fighters. This recording was released officially by the Slovenian techno record label Vezotonik of international renown as an EP featuring six tracks of various authors (including Miličević,Kobaya,Veztax…) Some chosen - artist she worked with: Umek (SI), Misjah (NL), Kanzyani (SI), La Di Da (CZ), Joel Muel (SW), Veztax (SI), Kiki (HR), Mary (HR), Ian F. Search Add 7 Kodeen The Swedish metal act KODEEN was born from the remains of a previous existing metal band called Mindtrigger in the end of year 2000. KODEEN was a natural step for the more creative members of Mindtrigger to take, in order to develop new ideas with other musicians, to get a more melodic and more varied direction of the music, which has become the trademark of KODEEN today. Together with a new recruited drummer and a fresh bass player, the band started to rehearse with the goal to find a raw and unique sound. KODEEN became a unified force when a second singer (Magnus Fast ex. Captor) joined the band in early 2001. Magnus’ vocal strengths and abilities as a songwriter completed their search and moved the band forward, with an eagerness to constantly evolve. The six piece constellation have a wide range of influences, which is reflected in their music as extreme from one end of the spectrum to the other. “We're always trying to do things that makes the music more interesting for us and the listener.”

Search Add 7 Gilbert Neal Gilbert George Neal The eclecticism of Gilbert Neal might suggest a changeling, or a dilettante, or maybe a jack of all trades. But such a characterization would miss the mark. Neal is more curious than distracted, more inquisitive than restless. In his mastery of rock, funk, folk, blues, jazz, and even musical theatre, he embodies the modern pop artist: an intrepid tourist of styles. After releasing four albums independently, Neal created his 2016 Wampus debut, The Mayor of Estes Park, by raising every bar, from songwriting to performance to arrangements. From existential funk to plaintive wit to loopy joy, he grabbed with hooks and grooves, pranks and koans. Swinging from the mainstream to the fringe, he was earnestly sincere one minute and brutally sardonic the next. Then, in an epoch of budding cultural collapse, he issued the bittersweet and unsparing follow-up, Mistakes of Memory. Relying on his mastery of musical theatre and zeal for classic prog, Neal crafted a narrative of longing and disconnection, a timeless pop curio that recalled nothing so much as the adventurousness of ‘70s rock. Yet the funky and mordant “Claudius,” a parable of American leadership circa 2020, placed Mistakes firmly in the glare of its moment and positioned Neal as an artist to watch amid chaos and change. Now, in the wake of a pandemic that waxes and wanes but never quite vacates, Neal delivers the provocative and bitingly personal I’ll See You When I See You, an obliquely passionate salvo that feels alien yet warmly familiar. On one level, it maps the dissolution of a (virtual? long-distance?) romantic entanglement. On another, it explores the mystery and dread framing the global perception of Russian culture. As always, Neal refracts the depth and diversity of his influences: Leonard Cohen, Pink Floyd, ELO, Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan, and Stephen Sondheim. “All my albums touch on religion, sex, age, and hope,” he says. “I treat them all like musicals.” I’ll See You When I See You comes out May 20, 2022.

Search Add 7 Kid Arrow Kid Arrow is an experimental musical project from Osaka, Japan, characterized by prolific production and an introspective sonic aesthetic. Their approach focuses on the creation of ambient electronic music, with an emphasis on transforming MIDI data into emotive compositions. Kid Arrow's music is based on the manipulation of MIDI files, transforming digital data into pieces that explore human emotions. This creative process has been described as a way to give emotional meaning to seemingly "stupid" or meaningless data. Kid Arrow has collaborated closely with German producer and guitarist Markus Reuter on multiple projects. Together, they have released albums such as Without Boundaries and In Unison, We Rise, which focus on transforming a single MIDI file into diverse musical compositions. The project has an extensive discography available on its Bandcamp page, including releases such as "Happy New Strange Year 2025" and "24 Hours of Dawn (Hour 14)." Additionally, Kid Arrow has participated in programs such as the Alien Air Podcast, where excerpts of new compositions were presented. Kid Arrow describes himself as an almost disembodied entity, working from a kind of void. The name "Kid" evokes a look back at childhood and its inherent loneliness, while "Arrow" represents a direction and trajectory, albeit an uncertain one.

Search Add 7 Carri-On Carri-On was founded in 1989 by Steve Berka, in Danville, Kentucky. In 1990, after solidifying the 3-piece lineup of Steve, Wayne Reidinger, and Josh "Mosh" Howard, the band relocated to the city where Steve was born, Cleveland, Ohio. Once in Cleveland they moved into a 3-bedroom house and began building a home-studio. They soon combined their gear with that of sound engineer (and keyboardist) Dan Mace, and in August 1991 they recorded "Now Unveiled" in the home-studio, recorded and engineered by Mace. They also began playing live shows alongside numerous other bands from the Ohio Metal scene of the era, such as Winters Bane, Mystik, Advocate, Blessed Sickness, Hemlock, Sin-Eater, and several others. A few months after, Wayne then left to join the Military and the band recruited bassist Byron Baker. This lineup continued playing live and later recorded and released the "Carri-On" demo on cassette, and before the end of 1993 they brought the masters of "Carri-On" to Modern Recording Services to have it remixed and cleaned up. The result was the "Carri-On" album released on CD, with much higher production values then any release of theirs to date. In 1994 Josh Mosh moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, and Steve Berka later recorded a very rare EP and a second full-length of all-new material (Steve on all instruments), the EP called "Symbol" and the album called "The Writings of Now", which he reveres as Carri-On's best work. "The Writings of Now" also marked the first time Berka experimented with a deeper, raspy vocal style mixed with his normal singing style. "Symbol" was professionally pressed onto cassettes, although in extremely small quantities (only about 30 copies were printed). The 1995 album "The Writings...", was pressed onto a similarly small number of clear studio tapes with tape labels placed by hand, and shortly after the 1996 completion of the small quantity of tapes Steve and Byron re-located to California and formed a new lineup. They also developed a new completely new style that was 70's-influenced Psychedelic/Hard Rock. This lineup released the album "Necessary Evils" in 2001.
