Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 7 | Joey Largent | With dreams of the dissolution of time and ultimate reunion with nature, Joey Largent examines bodies of harmonic overtones and wave-like drones through his work with a variety of instruments. Without limitations by genre, Largent’s work has its origins in styles ranging from harsh noise to Greek Rebetiko to Protestant hymns to Romanian Lăutărească. He seeks a middle space, integrating site-specific field recording with microtonal tunings and conceptual findings from Sufism and Buddhist literature in agnostic attempts to translate context, spiritual glimpses, nature, and compassion into musical experience. Largent’s ongoing practices include developing eternal duration compositions for acoustic ensembles, custom instrument design and alteration, and performing music for Butoh. His work is greatly inspired by and draws from a rich history of acoustic experimental music, studying with La Monte Young, Rose Okada, and Michael Harrison — all disciples of the late vocal master Pandit Pran Nath. Largent continues to study both Indian Classical Khyal gayaki in the Kirana tradition, and Dhrupad rudra veena and voice in the Dagar tradition. He is currently based between Seattle and Port Townsend, Washington.

Search | Add | 7 | Glenn A. Payne | Founder of [l175905]. Co-founder of [l468257]. For copyrights and licenses: [l1659897] and [l1659896]. Glenn started his career in the summer of 1978 working for GTO Records, where his duties included regional radio promotion and liaising with BBC Radio 2. GTO's artist roster included Billy Ocean / Heatwave / Dana / New Musik, Giorgio Moroder, Donna Summer, and The Dooleys. In the early 80's Glenn started his own independent promotion company working with Klub Records / Monarch Records and Strike Records - dealing with London and Regional Radio/TV. Artists included The Clydesiders, Rikki, and The Tigers. The company then expanded into a record label sigining a distribuition deal with Pinnacle Records - artists included Officers & Gentlemen, and all girl trio Brazil all enjoying turntable success and healthy record sales. In 1986 Glenn was asked to become A&R Director of dance label G&M Records and enjoyed chart success with The Village People / Fatback Band / Nini, and The Hard Hats. Glenn left G&M to start a career with Fanfare Records in the early 90's, when asked by Simon Cowell to start up an international department. Chart hits soon followed with Sinitta / Yell! / Kelly Marie and Mystic. Following Simon's move to Arista/BMG Glenn continued to work within the international arena securing licensing deals for heavy US rock giants Quiet Riot - striking deals for the album 'Terrified' in Scandinavia, Spain and Brasil. While also working with soul groovers The Cool Notes, their classic soul hits 'Spend the Night' and 'In Your Car' were remixed and licensed throughout Europe where they enjoyed chart success. Glenn also secured licensing deals for Kagagoogoo star Limahl in Germany / Austria / Switzerland / Spain and the Benelux. Success with Mystic included a No.1 hit in Spain with 'Ritmo de la Noche' enjoying a staggering 69 weeks in the top 30. After the huge success of 'Ritmo' the following years saw Mystic release the hit singles 'Yo Te Quieo', 'Everybody Salsa', 'La Ola', along with the albums 'Ritmo de la Noche' and 'La Ola' that kept Mystic at the forefront of the Spanish Latino House dance scene. Mystic recorded and released 'Spirit of Ibiza' - the song captured the essence of the hot summer days, along with the passion of the even hotter summer nights with the track reaching No.3 in the Spanish Charts, and top 10 of the Portuguese Charts. With the success of 'Spirit of Ibiza' Mystic recorded 'Viva El Verano' as the follow-up which continued their chart success reaching No.1 in Brasil. It was during this time that Glenn started working with Alberto and the hugely successful Matiz Music production team in Hamburg and they enjoyed international chart success with their projects including The Allniters 'The Story of My Life' - which hit the charts in France, Spain, and Greece. Also 'The Master' by The Master reached No.1 in Italy. It was during this period that Alberto first had the idea for Freud and together Alberto & Glenn went on to license Freud's brilliant debut album 'Time Passengers' all over the World including the US, UK, Germany, Benelux, Portugal and South East Asia. Then in 2002 Glenn was asked to join leading newage label New World Music, developing their Promotion and PR departments, as well as being a key member of their A&R team. After 4 and a half years with New World Music - Glenn and old friend Alberto [a455126] decided to develop [l468257] - and today Tantajo is one of the most respected chlllout labels around, with their artists Freud and Terra del Sol being at the sharp end of their genres. While Glenn also continues to establish [l175905] as a proactive and well respected label.

Search | Add | 7 | Cecil Gill | Cecil Harris Gill | Born September 19, 1912 died 1978 A popular country music balladeer on Fort Worth radio stations in the 1930s and 1940s, Also referred to as; Cecil (The Yodeling Country Boy) Gill In 1945 that Cecil had a show on KFJZ at 6:30pm in 1945. His sponsor was a local clothing store. She noted in another article that the show was on Monday through Saturday and then he also had a 2:15pm Sunday afternoon show. In 1930 Gill moved to Fort Worth and signed on at KTAT. For the next twenty-plus years, “The Yodeling Country Boy” was a constant presence on Cowtown radio stations—on WBAP, then KFJZ and KGKO. After World War II he appeared on KXOL, KCUL, KCNC, and KJIM. The daily broadcasts featured Cecil and his guitar serving up songs from the past such as “The Ship That Never Returned,” “Utah Carroll,” and “The Engineer’s Child.” In 1941 he opened Cecil Gill’s Eat Shop, and he started an independent laundry pickup service in 1957. Gill was still operating the laundry service when he died suddenly of a heart attack on March 28, 1978. While Cecil may have been more a regional or local artist, Floy does report in several articles that he was a fixture on the big shows at the Coliseum in the Fort Worth area when the Grand Ole Opry acts were touring through the area such as Ernest Tubb, Eddy Arnold and Pee Wee King. Gill’s recording career was brief. He waxed six songs in 1946 for the local Silver Star Record Company. “Teardrops in the Rain”/“Say Goodbye” (Silver Star 101) proved popular enough to be reissued in 1949 on Rich-R’-Tone Records, a Tennessee label specializing in bluegrass music. By 1947, we were finding that Cecil's career had taken him to radio station WGAD in Gadsen, Alabama. A 1948 Billboard article mentions Cecil was recording on the Bluebonnet record label. But by 1949, Cecil was back in Fort Worth on radio station KXOL. He did not return to the studio until 1963 to record four albums worth of favorites from his radio days for Bluebonnet Records in Fort Worth. In 1971 he recorded a gospel album, How Big Is God, for Arlington-based Inspiration Records. |

Search | Add | 7 | Romark | Ronald Markham | Romark was born on July 31, 1926 in England as Ronald Markham. Romark was a fascinating hypno-therapist and in 1971 he allegedly hypnotised an audience of smokers and 1000 of them gave up smoking. Among some of his more colourful encounters is the curse he reputedly placed on the Crystal Palace football team and an attempt to hypnotise Muhummad Ali into losing to Yorkshire boxer Richard Dunn in 1976. He is reputedly the first man to "die'" on stage by hanging for nearly four minutes before bringing himself to life again. He holds five records in the Guiness Book of Records for the longest-running one-man show. Romark is also infamous for attempting to prove his psychic powers by driving a car blindfolded which resulted in a collision with a police car. He was also an actor, appearing in Mannix (1967), Flip (1970) and The Merv Griffin Show (1962). Romark died of a stroke in December 1982 in Torbay, Devon, England, not long after being released from prison where he served a 4 and a half month stretch for embezzling cash from his mother while she was ill in hospital. |

Very early in his youth he excelled as an actor-singer in Marathi musicals and was offered a position in the Mahesh Natak Mandali of Pune. His initial musical mentors were Bapurao Ketkar and Govindrao Tembe, both senior musicians of the Atrauli-Jaipur school. Haldankar later took training under the Agra Gharana master, Jagannathbuwa Purohit (“Gunidas”), and still later, from Ganpatrao Dewaskar and Agrawale Anwar Hussain Khan. Suresh Haldankar’s rise in the 1950s musical world of Mumbai was dramatic but he failed to deliver on his promise and soon faded away from the mehfil platform. He spent the rest of his life as a teacher in a chawl in Mumbai. The music lovers in the Maharashtrian community remember him for the many immensely popular Natyageete records he cut. |

Search | Add | 7 | Jeanne Artemis Strieder | Jeanne Artemis Strieder [ʒan ɑːrtɪmɪs ʃtriːder] is a composer and artist. The purpose of her work is to create solace and compassion for the invisible suffering of the many and the few. The results are individual aural bodies that seek connection with those who experience darkness. The origins for her musical mind was found by her at an early age in the european modernism, the achievements of cultures outside of europe and the innovative forms of the underground music scenes (e.g. metal, noise, glitch). Her artistic endeavours also include her internationally acclaimed Metal ensembles “Coma Cluster Void” and "Infinite Nomad", which combine the instrumentation of modern metal with her techniques of dissonant art music. As an artist, she is working with digital, traditional and mixed media. As a producer, she worked with renowned artists of the metal scene. Her music is performed around the world, in e.g. Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Iran, Italy, Mexico, United Kingdom and USA.

Search | Add | 7 | The Sensational Second Cousins | The Sensational Second Cousins is a two piece rock ‘n roll combo from The Netherlands! They are, obviously: second cousins, no wonder if you know they come from the small incestuous village called Klazienaveen. They only need a guitar, some preaching vocals and an own built stand up drumkit to sound like a bulldozer! Mix that with the right amount of craziness and a unique live experience is guaranteed! Their music can be described as Hasil Adkins who ran into Elvis Presley when he started drinkin’ in a local bar with Hank Williams, Johnny Cash and Eddie Cochran! They delivered three singles. That gave them national attention on radio and tv. Spring 2016 they will release their debut record called ‘Earthquake!’ (LP - on Independent Future Recordings - , CD and digital download). They’ve played shows all over Europe (Spain, Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands). Will your country be the next?
