Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025

Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Among the countless places they have played over the years are the Baltic Festival in Karlshamn, Askersund and Gothenburg Traditional Jazz Festivals, Torshavn Jazz and Blues Festival in the Faroe Islands, Liseberg in Gothenburg, the Jazz Festival in Trysil in Norway, Kungshamn-Smögens Jazz Festival and Lögstör in Denmark. Search Add 2 Keur-Gui Bio Sharp.Intense.Outspoken.Heartfelt.Keurgui, Thiat and Kilifeu, from Senegal, have been more than 20 years on stage using Hip-Hop to break with traditions and rising awareness. They turned their lyrics into action in the streets and created the movement Y’en a Marre which made the former President to step down. Even if Hip-Hop is their base, you can find pop, rock, heavy metal, Afro funk in their music. They are consistently looking for ways to reinvent musically. Now they have found a perfect ally on Waliyaane Band, a band of eight versatile and talented musicians with whom to explore for new sounds. Keurgui is well-known in the African continent but it has a wider audience since they’ve performed in main european countries (France, Denmark, Germany, Spain), Japan and in USA in festivals like One Mic in Kennedy Center (D.C) or Trinity International Festival (Conneticut). Keurgui has won numerous awards—best hip-hop album of the year, best-selling artists, and best band at the Hip Hop Awards Festival in Senegal; nominated best band of the year at the Sunu Music Awards; nominated for the micro d’or award (gold mic); nominated for song of the year, Tube de l’année, Rfm Radio; nominated for African Hip Hop Awards in South Africa. Their last album, a two-volume collection to be titled Encyclopedia has become one of the most covetet albums on the continent and acts as a loudspeakers of social and political issues across Africa. BIO FROM WWW: https://www.keurgui.net/bio/
Search Add 2 Quasi Go-Go Chip and Dan and Dave, posted an ad in the Village Voice ISO a singer, which was answered by Chris. The common ground was pop punk, but over the course of some shows around town and two recording sessions, they forged their own direction from that starting place. Eventually their directions diverged. From their promo bio: "The synthesis of something ugly and something pretty is what Quassi Go-Go is all about. Like a monster in a miniskirt, Quasi Go-Go bring influence from California, the Notherwest, and the Midwest, and rock melody and riffs in a catchy blend of songs."

Search Add 2 Young Francis Hi Fi Young Francis Hi Fi is a Bubblegum Punk band from Brighton, England. "We play two minute songs about girls, getting high and hanging out. We live by the beach and we love the sunshine, bubblegum and falling in love. We also love punk and denim and getting fu**ed up. We grew up wanting to be in a gang, like all our favourite bands. We dress in the Hi Fi uniform, but we’re all different. Young Francis is the leader of the pack, Jimi is the sun who shines on us all, Danny Joe has a heart of gold and Bobby binds us together. We have a studio near the beach called The Bubblegum Basement, where we write and hang out and daydream, and where we make the razor sharp sound of the Hi Fi. We signed with Dirty Water Records in the dressing room right after a show. We made our record “The Young Generation” at Toe Rag Studios in London, with Liam Watson (White Stripes and more). Our record is music for dancing and for romancing, with 4 on the floor, handclaps, soaring solos and a singalong sound. Almost every song is a true story, but Julia isn’t really called Julia. We love 60’s Bubblegum and 70’s Punk. We love Garage Rock and Power Pop. So go ahead - DANCE. SHOUT. MAKE OUT!" - Young Francis, August 2023. Young Francis - Vox + Guitar + Tambourine Jimi Dymond - Guitar + Back Ups Bobby Herz - Bass Danny Joe Handsome - Drums

Search Add 2 Leslie Overdrive The book of Leslie In the beginning God created the four men. Now these four men were square and empty, darkness was over the surface of their souls, and the Spirit of God was hovering over them. And God said, "Let there be Hammond," and there was Hammond. God saw that the Hammond was good, and He separated the Hammond from the Leslie. God called the Hammond "funk," and the Leslie he called "soul." And there was funk, and there was soul—Leslie Overdrive. It was in 2003 that Craig and Kapper first met. They quickly discovered their mutual love of swirling Hammond and thus, there was only one way forward. In early ’05 they came into contact with Kristian who joined their former cabaret-project “Funksovs” (Funkgravy). But only a few months after the arrival of “The Reverend” they decided to turn the boat in a whole new direction. Teaming up with Craig’s childhood schoolmate Mads, all four now looked onwards and upwards towards a future filled with fun, love and buckets full of Hammond. Hammond Organ - "Reverend" Kristian Jørgensen Bass - Craig "Zilla" Kristensen Guitar - Jeppe Holst Drums - Kapper-Dapper
