Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Kelly Fraser | Kelly Amaujaq Fraser | Kelly Fraser is a Canadian Inuk pop singer and songwriter (August 8th, 1993 - December 24th, 2019), with broad influences spanning from hip-hop and EDM, to folk, traditional, blues, rock 'n' roll, and soul. Her second album, Sedna, received a Juno Award nomination for Indigenous Music Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2018. Kelly was awarded the Indspire prize, in 2019, in honor of her work with the Nunavut Hitmakerz; a group she co-founded with producer Thor Simonsen on a mission to travel around Nunavut and beyond, empowering local communities and cultural traditions by hosting songwriting/recording workshops. These events often included a feast of traditional foods, lessons in Inuktitut song forms, help with fundraising including cash prizes for talent show winners, free concerts, and ultimately a gift for the communities involved, of a portable recording studio, so that these Inuit communities can continue to carry on this work after the event is over. Kelly is known for her powerful voice, not only as a singer but also as an advocate for her people. Fierce and yet also fiercely supportive, she was proud to say that she makes music for all people, while being equally unafraid to speak uncomfortable truths in defense of Inuit and First Nations peoples. Nevertheless this "North Star" (as she is depicted in the French documentary "L'Etoile Polaire" from 2016) seems to have melted hearts everywhere she went, and she is remembered for her "incredible kindness" and her listening compassionate ear, as much as for her unwavering bravery and willingness to confront difficult social themes. Kelly performs her own original songs in both the Inuktitut and English language, but with a special gift also for translating famous pop songs into her native tongue. In addition to singing lead vocals and composing her first songs with her band Kelly Fraser and the Easy Four while still only in her teenage years, she also played bass in the band and was inspired to learn guitar at a very young age after watching the film Freaky Friday from 2003. Her self-expression as an artist began even earlier, as she describes in her Moment of Truth interview with David Moses: "I was 10 years old when I started writing poems. And these weren't--these weren't fun poems, these were very depressed poems. At 10 years old, why would I be writing poems that are very depressing? Well, unfortunately after we've gotten assimilated, we've gotten colonized, I felt the after-effects of the residential schools, the dog-sled slaughter, the TB epidemics... So, growing up... I felt everyone's pain, and I think that's what all artists feel; is they absorb everyone's feelings, and so I started using an outlet of writing." She began playing guitar a year or so later, and would soon be interweaving modern forms of popular music with traditional Inuit music forms in increasingly innovative ways; utilizing traditions such as throat-singing and the qilauti (a hand-held drum often accompanied by drum dances). The song "Immamiit" (meaning "In the Water") from her album Sedna features the qilauti prominently, and the album itself is named after the Inuit creation myth of the goddess Sedna (also known as "Nuliajuk" in Inuktitut). The story of Sedna is very sacred to Inuit and Nuliajuk was worshiped widely as the goddess of the Sea, who gave birth to humanity as we know it, long before Christian missionaries arrived and forbid the practice of traditional indigenous beliefs. Kelly felt it was important to restore this sacred connection to the spirit of her people, and in her performances of the song "Sedna" she channels Nuliajuk onstage, often dressing in her honor, and embodying her story. In an interview for CBC's Unreserved, Kelly elaborated on this relationship, saying "I feel a very deep connection with her through trauma and through the determination to keep going." Born in Igloolik, her family later moved to Sanikiluaq, Nunavut where she grew up in a small arctic island community of only just about 900 people. Fraser first attracted widespread attention in 2013 with a series of Inuktitut-language covers of pop songs, most notably Rihanna's "Diamonds," which has since drawn over 1.1 Million views on youtube from all over the world. She released her debut album, Isuma (meaning "Think" in Inuktitut), with her band in 2014, combining contemporary pop with traditional Inuit music. The title track--the music video for which has now gained over 160K views and counting--was originally written when she was only 15 years old. Inuit culture and awareness of present-day issues and Inuit rights; many of these themes feature heavily in her music. Sadly, at the age of 26, Kelly passed away in December of 2019. Kelly believed deeply in the power of music, art, and dialogue to bring about healing and was working on an album titled "Decolonize" at the time of her passing; an album she hoped would help to mend the inter-generational trauma resulting from the brutal history of Canada's colonization of Inuit lands (among other nations)--a history more recent than most of us are aware--which has greatly affected her people. A very intuitive and spiritual artist, rooted in her land and her community, she knew all too well that wounds need attention in order to heal. She gave herself bravely to this cause, with an openness and honesty rare in our world, and her legacy very much lives on through the hearts and minds of those her work continues to touch. A short documentary titled "Inuit singer-songwriter Kelly Fraser | Fight for the Rights" was released by CBC in September of 2018 documenting her struggles and triumphs. On December 24, 2019, Kelly passed away in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her cause of death has been attributed to suicide. According to her family, she had suffered through "childhood traumas, racism and persistent cyberbullying". Several candlelight vigils in her honor were held at The Forks on January 4th, 2020...with memorial gatherings drawing hundreds of people to celebrate her life and gifts, and tributes pouring in from all over the world. Despite the tragedy of her passing, she is remembered as "a bright light" and "a beacon of hope." Commenting on her legacy, friend and producer Thor Simonsen further affirmed, "Her impact as an advocate is going to be felt for years." A statement given by her family reads, "Kelly gave so much of herself to help others... She was fiercely open with her fans in the hopes that sharing her struggles might help them know they were not alone. Kelly fought so hard to be well. We know that she would want us all to continue to do our very best to take care of ourselves." |

Search | Add | 3 | Testkard 225 | further member: Daniel Beller Started in the 80's and continuing to the 90's Testkard 225 was mainly an alias of journalist Daniel Beller. Creating hard to digest industrial music in times where this music was almost unknown in israel, and wasn't welcome when heard. Although it is true that it was the first output that Har El Persky was involved in, his and Yariv Malka and Rafael Mizrahi's membership was casual and minor. Har El left the group because he wanted to focus on trance and beller didn't want to, despite this Har El and Mizrahi did one live show of goa trance before they stopped using this name. The project continued however with beller alone releasing two tapes all in all. Two other unreleased albums, the first with DXM (4) and the second with Duralex Sedlex (a band which beller was supposed to join) were supposed to be released but came to a halt in the creative stage because of life circumstances. The project was disbanded completely in the ninetees for reasons of state imposed censorship (a reason not unfamiliar to industrial musicians) and various other reasons.

Search | Add | 3 | SilverSpirit | Tommy Bailey-Graham & Daniel Bailey-Graham | SilverSpirit are a pair of musicians who specialise in synthesised electronic music in various different styles, though generally centred around the dance and pop genres. Dan Bailey-Graham started writing music on a small Casio keyboard at the age of eight and in 1997, his father bought him a Korg Trinity Pro synthesiser for achieving good GCSE grades. This synthesiser is still in use by SilverSpirit today, along with an Alesis Micron which Dan bought and an electro-acoustic guitar that Tommy bought in order to provide a greater depth and variety to the group's sound. Tommy Bailey-Graham writes lyrics and provides vocals for SilverSpirit's original tracks while also supplying conceptual support for music production. Tommy's lyrics are raw and organic, often focusing on social issues and relationships, a poignant juxtaposition against the entirely digital and synthetic musical environment in which they are presented. |

Search | Add | 3 | Lost It | from 2003 tour press sheet: "BIO: Lost It started bare bones in the fall of 2000 from the angst that arose in three Baltimore college kids, Dan Owen, Scott Nussman, and Nick Riddle. Dan and Scott had come from grindcore/hardcore punk backgrounds, and they were interested in starting a "powerviolence" band, a style that arose out of CA in the early 90s with bands like Spazz, Infest, and Crossed Out. Nick Riddle came from more of a garage/punk rock background and was interested in starting a fast/heavy hardcore punk band. At this point, LOST IT existed for no other purpose but to serve as an outlet... as it continues to serve us today. LOST IT recorded a 7-song demo in a beat-up practice room in 2001. Despite many show cancelations and dealing with shoddy people, LOST IT went on its first tour in the Summer of 2001 hitting such mentionable places as Richmond, Allentown, Columbus, Olean, and Charlottesville. The venture served us well and gave us a feel of the road. In the Summer of 2001, Nick left the band due to creative differences but still remained a close friend to date for both Dan and Scott. LOST IT recruited Rfus Platt, also a college student in Baltimore at the time, to play drums. During the fall of 2001, LOST IT became increasingly influenced by sludge, doom metal, and stoner rock. Yet coming from hardcore punk backgrounds, it took some adjusting to incorporate this new influence. In the Fall of 2001, LOST IT recorded a new six-song CD at Death Monkey Studios in Annapolis, MD. This record speaks to the self-hate, angst, aggression, depression, and contempt the band was experiencing in their personal lives. It was an escape from shitty relationships, broken friendships, tired dreams, and general stress and anxiety. In the Winter of 2001, LOST IT headed out on a 9-day East Coast tour hitting up such mentionable places as Greensboro, Kingsport, Atlanta, Burlington, and Philadelphia. On this tour, LOST IT incorporated the psychedelic noise of Maryland noisician, Dave Litz. This tour provided itself to be 10 times better than the previous tour both in terms of crowd reaction and the quality of the shows. 2002 was a quiet year for LOST IT as Dan Owen headed abroad for half a year to study in the United Kingdom. When he returned, the band reformed from hiatus and concentrated on songwriting. Throughout 2002, LOST IT experimented with their sound and songwriting process, and by the spring of 2003, the band was ready to head into the studio once again. This time LOST IT recorded in the homemade studio of Hugh McElroy, the lead vocalist and bassist in Dischord Records' own Black Eyes. The six songs LOST IT recorded ended up creating a stir in the Baltimore/DC area and more attention was drawn to the band. Soon after this recording, the band decided that they wanted to add more to their stage presence, so they enlisted Steven Kerchner, of local grind metal sensations, The Seventh Gate, to take on the responsibility of vocal duties. Steve's addition to the band added a new level to the band, and the live performances from his addition onwards have left audiences ecstatic and bewildered. LOST IT concentrates on primal live energy combined with a powerful, heavy sound that takes audiences off guard and leaves an impression. With their third winter tour, LOST IT is looking to have a good time while proving to southern audiences once again that their sound is like the rumbling of a withered beast rumbling through the rotten valleys of Virginia. LOST IT has played with/has upcoming shows with such bands as Floor, 16, Bongzilla, Weedeater, Fleshies, Kiss Of Death, Swarm Of The Lotus, Anodyne, KEN Mode, Municipal Waste, Tear It Up, An Albatross, Black Cross, Voorhees, Charm City Suicides, Backstabbers Inc., Sutek Conspiracy, Kiss The Cynic, Kill The Man Who Questions and more." Note: Bongzilla later canceled the previously mentioned show. Nate, who was not mentioned in the bio, was the original vocalist and appeared on the band's first demo. He left the band for personal reasons shortly prior to their first tour; leaving Dan and Scott to quickly write lyrics and adjust to having to perform vocal duties. The band played live the Third Rail Radio Program on WMUC 88.1 FM College Park, Maryland in late 2003. Scott left the band for personal reasons; making the last show of the band's 2003 Winter Tour his final show with the band. A friend of the band, Mike Romano, joined LOST IT on bass following Scott's departure. The band disbanded in 2004. Dan, Rufus, Dave, and Mike went on to form Vincent Black Shadow. Steve and Scott went on to form Vog.

Search | Add | 3 | Stephen Merriman | Stephen Rich Merriman | I play jazz piano, and I compose music—mostly jazz: set pieces, and compositions that can work as stand-alone offerings, and also serve as vehicles for jazz improvisation and exploration. I was called to piano at age 7, nearly seven decades ago now. The keyboard, and the universe contained within it, have been my true, most constant friends and companions throughout this lifetime. Originally, playing the piano was a means to preserve my sanity during childhood—to express and offload emotions that dared not be put into words in an abusive, ignorant, addictions-ridden household. Knowledge about harmony and musical composition, and the desire to develop improvisational proficiency, took root. They accompanied me, developing at their own, unhurried pace as I grew older and encountered the challenges of how to live in the world and be comfortable in my own skin. In any setting where I play, I always “come to play.” Sometimes I play quite well; other times I play not so well. Regardless of what kind of day I'm having, I always play to "express," rather than to "entertain." Although my compositional gifts are my stronger suit and have come more naturally to me, I still love and appreciate my playing skills equally, and I’m grateful to have both capabilities. Here’s what I can promise you, should you choose to wade into my compositions and my playing: There is no hustle, no hype, no slick promotion, no cheap charisma nor pandering, no cult of personality, no cultivating the folklore of the “suffering artist” or exulting in a self-indulgent, eccentric lifestyle, no bragging rights, no sense of being in competition with anything, or anyone. There is only the movement of soul from one moment to the next, ever sampling the richness of the palate of Creation—daring, at the insistence of the Muse, to transform some of Its wonders (from all directions) into musical expression. Creating, via composing, playing set pieces, or “hanging out” on—risking—the unforeseen, high-wire surprises (both + and -) of jazz improvisation and exploration, is daunting: sometimes joyous, sometimes fun, sometimes exhilarating, often exhausting, sometimes heart-wrenching, sometimes serene, and everything in between. Whatever the experience that, in any given moment, finds itself revealed—either through a composition or within an improvised chorus (or both)—the music, and the motivation behind it, are soul-based. In their conception and presentation, they are pure. |

Search | Add | 3 | Frank X Feller | Francis X. Fellmer | Broadcast Pioneers member Frank X. Feller slipped quietly into the midst of the Roaring Twenties on Tuesday, March 30, 1926, as another infant, Radio Broadcasting, was announcing its presence in tones loud and clear. Frank held forth in Jersey City, NJ; Radio was all the rage in all 48 states. The two became bosom buddies from the get-go. Both were hit with the reality of, and would grow up in, the Great Depression of the '30s. Radio informed and entertained a struggling nation; Frank, when not tuned into the Red Network or the Blue Network, was learning his ABCs and more from the nuns at St. Paul's grammar school. 1939 brought World War II to Europe, and Radio brought it to every home in America. 1939 took Frank to St. Peter's Prep in Jersey City and four years of Jesuit training. 1943 saw Frank, age 17, enlist in the U.S. Army. In 1946, after serving as a medic in the ETO, Corporal Frank became a college boy at Syracuse University. He graduated with an AB degree in 1949, majoring in English with a broadcasting minor. Frank's wartime dream to be an Air Corps pilot wasn't to be. In 1949, it was back to his old buddy Broadcasting and his true ambition to be a radio announcer. And so it started at WVPO in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. The 1950s found Frank announcing in North Carolina, North Jersey, and Trenton. In February 1963, Frank becomes a Wibbage Good Guy at WIBG in Philadelphia. To the millions of teenagers and their parents growing up in the Delaware Valley during the sixties, he was "Frank X. Feller" who brought warmth and wit to Radio 99 every weeknight from 10 pm until 2 am. The 1970s saw Frank as the first employee of a new station, WYSP, as program director, later to be general manager. In the early 1980s that station was sold and Frank returned to his first love, the microphone, as a talk show host on WWDB. During that time, Frank was active in our organization, the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia, becoming our 19th president in 1981-82. His active broadcasting career ended in forced retirement in 1990. His announcing co-love, writing, had continued all through the years and included six top-selling children's albums, comedy records, and magazine pieces. 2006 was spent by Frank writing his 400-page book, A Letter from Dad, his life story written for his children and grandchildren, relatives and friends. He and his wife published it privately. They all seem to like it a lot. The former New York Giants fan lives in Wayne, Pennsylvania, with his editor and wife, Valerie. Both are insane Eagles and Phillies fans. With the TV on mute, the old announcer has the Radio on full steam. |

Search | Add | 3 | Red With Envy | Nothing shy of the hardest working band north of Sacramento, Red With Envy expresses the united soul of four modern day metal Mozarts. An unbridled stage persona has become the defining characteristic of RWE, coupled with catchy tunes and a relentless work ethic, RWE has exposed a refreshing angle to hard-rock. With personality coming from every aspect of their creations, these seasoned musicians are a highly motivated freight train of talent. Drummer, Nick Harris, creates a heavily aggressive beat that lifts the crowd into a disgruntled mix of feeling; even before the first words are spoken. It was the Beastie Boys with Bad Brains concert that turned Nick on to a career-oriented goal of performing in a band. With heavy influences from bands like the Deftones, Weezer, and Lagwagon, Nick is able to create a feel to his beat that is unmatched by anyone sharing the genre. With roots in Redding, California, he has kept his talent fairly local, perfecting his sound and brewing a rock that will one day shatter the glass eye of conservative America. On bass guitar, Randy rumbles the stage along with the internal bear of the audience into a melting pot of vibes. Millville, CA is the original home the bass player. With influences that include Sevendust, Tool, and Led Zeppelin, he knows exactly what type of flavor to add to every riff and passage in order to get the desired response from the audience. Being the last to join Red With Envy, he was the missing string on a now flawless fret board. Playing bass for eight years and constantly searching for knowledge, Randy will never be content with his skills; this promised to be one of his most colorful attributes for a future in professional entertainment. “Don’t talk like Robin Hood unless you can shoot a bow and arrow like him.” These are the words of Chavez, the vocal talent that stands as the front man for Red With Envy. His wildly individual personality is magnetic, as represented through the crowd’s response. Though he has a voice all his own, his stylistic goals are that of The Deftones, Tool, and The Used. Representing the voice of the band is always a difficult task; however, he takes on the mission with open arms and a smile on his face. Austin comes in with a slightly different musical approach and taste, adding a mixture of creative influences ranging from Sublime to Tool, and even Bob Marley. Eight years of experience is always a plus in establishing creative and musical intuition. Playing in bands like Flipside and Monkey Box, his onstage performance makes for a must see to believe show. His repertoire is overloaded with styles and personality making his sound so incredibly unique, there is only one place on earth to hear this mixture of tone, creativity, and inspiration: Red With Envy.

Search | Add | 3 | Listmaker | Shaun Dowse | [a=Listmaker] was the initial electronic music moniker of acidic dub techno producer [a=Voltergeist]. Starting out his production path as “Creations Of The Mind” in 1993 by writing free public domain music demos using an Amiga 1200 (running respected 12-bit internal sample-tracking software ProTracker), [a=Listmaker] quickly developed a passion for the complex interweaving soundscapes of early UK techno/trance harmonies and rhythms. Upon receiving his first piece of serious hardware (a Yamaha RY30 drum machine) in 1996, he realised that his particular sound could be liberated without the need for vast amounts of musical equipment. He produced his first demo tape, “Drum Machine” using only the RY30 and Amiga running ProTracker. “My only limitation was that I had no way of automatically synchronising the two machines, as the Amiga had no MIDI interface. However, I found that by manually increasing and decreasing the tempo of the drum machine using the buttons on the front, I could keep the two machines in sync. This meant that I could use all four channels of Amiga audio for melodies and sound effects, whilst keeping the drum tracks on the Yamaha.” The [a=Listmaker] sound was becoming bigger! Whilst studying at the University of Glasgow he performed at his regular musical haunt, the Queen Margaret Union on the same stage graced by the pioneer [a=Aphex Twin], and continued to play gigs at several other local university student unions… After dropping out of university to earn money working as a landscape gardener and designer, he had soon saved up enough money to buy his first synthesizer and sampler. The next additions to the [a=Listmaker] sound were a Yamaha CS1x synth, and a Yamaha SU10 sampler. By this time, he had upgraded his Amiga sequencing software to Bars & Pipes Pro (a precursor to Cubase) and a sturdy MIDI interface. ProTracker was shelved and the [a=Listmaker] sound started to become much more layered. “The times that I did leave the house were either to work or to spend time at fellow electronic music producer Galaxis Quench’s studio in Ayr. It was through Quench that I managed to track down an original Korg MS10 synthesizer. At the same time, he found himself a Moog Rogue!” Up until this point, everything he had produced was stored on Amiga 1200 diskettes and self-mastered to an old TASCAM two-track. “After several of my master recordings got chewed up and transformed into a garbled tape mess fit for nothing but the bin, I realised that I’d need to upgrade to storing digital masters in order to preserve my tracks. “Unable to afford a DAT recorder or any other digital master format, I settled on a Sony MiniDisc recorder. Regrettably, the compression used to fit the audio onto the media wasn’t the best quality (MiniDisc uses lossy compression) but it was a thousand times more reliable than cassette tape!” Inspired by his developing studio, seemingly limitless audio possibilities (after squeezing as much as possible out of very little equipment), he put together his first complete EP, entitled “[m=540645]” as a celebratory reference to the progression from a couple of manually synchronised machines, to a fully synchronised studio… |

Search | Add | 3 | Jay Fortier | Manistee, Michigan native Jay Fortier began his career in the 1960s singing and playing banjo with folk music trio The Coachmen. Discovering Rock N’ Roll, Fortier switched to guitar and soon founded The Magnatones. The group kept busy gigging locally. However, the young Rock band went through several name and personnel changes to ultimately become the hugely popular regional outfit Band X. By this time the multi-talented Fortier had switched to bass guitar. Band X continued to record and gig around their native Michigan for almost a decade and received steady radio airplay for their regional hit “How Good The Rain.” Then came more personnel changes and a new name morphing Band X into North Country. Sadly, after a year, North Country fizzled. However, Jay continued to write, record, and play in a variety of bands and recording projects and Jay was inducted to the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends Hall of Fame with Band X.
