One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Later he was cast as the Wreck in My Uncle the Alien where he plays a thug who kidnaps the President of the United States daughter. In 1996 Sherwin enrolled in the full Mastery University program with Tony Robbins. He traveled to Hawaii, Fiji, New Orleans, San Francisco, and Los Angeles to complete his courses with Tony. Sherwin became a fashion designer / apparel manufacturer creating One Clothing and leading the trend in junior fashion. Sherwin worked with CBGB founder, Hilly Krystal, creating his clothing brand as a private label project. He was nicknamed Ace by the Korean Fashion Community, the name was branded by Womans Wear Daily and California Apparel News. Moving into licensing, Sherwin owned the license for HAIR the Musical, creating a clothing line, posters, and accessories. He brought in licensing deals for Melissa McCarthy, Wendy Williams, Omni Peace and secured an apparel licensing deal for Snooki. Sherwin Ace Ross, a multiple disciplinary is a 35-year member of The Screen Actors Guild. He is a well-trained method actor, singer and dancer. The band started their activity in 1992, when Sabo and Kerac were joined by a former Albatorosi member Predrag "Peđa" Moldvaji (bass guitar). Initially, the band performed covers by Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Free, The Jimi Hendrix Experience and others, but with humorous Serbian language lyrics. These songs were released in 1993 on the album Der Rauch Am Wasser (German for "Smoke on the Water"). In 1996, the band was joined by vocalist Dušan Uvalić "Francuz", a former vocalist for the bands Annathema and Crash. This lineup recorded new songs, released during the same year on the album Cat Claw, named after the comic book superhero of the same name created by Kerac. In 1998, after a number of concerts across Vojvodina, Uvalić left GeroMetal to join the reformed Annathema, and two members of the band Kraj, Viktor Moldvaji (Predrag Moldvaji's son, guitar) and Nenad Petković (the bass guitarist in Kraj, on keyboards in GeroMetal), joined the band. Until the end of their career the band performed occasionally only, performing mostly in Novi Sad. In 2000, the band disbanded. |

The main merit of this great singer is in contributing to renew and divulge a musical style known as Chaoui belonging to the culture of the Berber people with the same name. The Chaouis (Amazigh: Icawiyen) are an ethnic group inhabiting the Aurès (Amazigh: ⴰⵡⵔⴰⵙ / Awras), a region located in the north east of Algeria, characterized by a rich history and by the mountain that gives the name to the region. Teldja proposes a revision of the musical heritage of this region, sometimes reinterpreting it using a classically Arabic orchestration, which still arouses various criticisms by various members of the Algerian Berber community who have always considered arabization as absolute evil. Very little is known about the biography of this artist whose art has been gradually forgotten. It seems she have begun to sing at parties and weddings in the early '70s. In 1976 she performed in the city of Ouenza in the company of the folkloric band, generating great appreciation and starting a brilliant but brief career. She has never left her region of origin and has lived between the cities of Annaba and Tebessa, recording several songs among which the best known are: "Ya Salah", "Talaa netsawar" and "Tiri tiri ya teyyara ". During her career she has collaborated with some of the best Algerian composers including: Rabah Driassa and Mohamed Boulifa. In 1984 she was invited for an official performance in the city of Constantine, since then the news about her disappears. |

| Search | Add | 6 | Bill Retoff | The first serious musical venture came as a member of the Insomniacs (which eventually morphed into the ensemble Retoff, McKenzie, Butler & Pierce) in the early '90s. Retoff formed his own label, Maize Records, specifically for the band, and between 1992 and 1994, they released two acclaimed (in underground pop circles) full-length cassettes and numerous singles. The band gradually disintegrated due in large part to the miles of travel between them. At about the exact moment of disintegration, Retoff was struck down by spinal meningitis and diagnosed with intestinal cancer. It nearly ended his life, but he ultimately recovered from the ordeal and eventually settled back into recording as a solo artist. He released his debut solo album, Pop Jewelry, in 1996, along with a legion of 45s and made appearances on numerous compilations. He played with the band Eternal Groove, who released a single in 1997, and produced the sole effort by Billy Blastoff, the band that Dan McKenzie, Dave Butler, and Ed Pierce formed following Retoff, McKenzie, Butler & Pierce. Two of his songs were also covered by the semi-legendary '60s combo the E-Types on their 1998 reunion album Chase the Moon. Retoff's dedicated cult following continued to steadily grow, and a second solo album, Reanimation, appeared in 2000. That summer also saw him reconvene with McKenzie, Butler, and Pierce to begin recording all new material. | |

Her first professional experience was working in Hollywood's film scoring studios alongside her legendary recording engineer father, the late Tim Boyle. She served as his second engineer for Starship Troopers, Animaniacs, Money Talks and more. She began writing songs right when she was 12 years old and attended the College of Santa Fe to study Music Performance & Composition. It was here that her musical journey took an unexpected turn. She discovered the rich traditional folk music of the Balkans and quickly became a student of the voice and of traditional singing styles. This study led her to many years of performing with Kitka Women’s Vocal Ensemble, Brass Menažeri Balkan Brass Band, and True Life Trio. Briget recognizes the responsibility and opportunities that accompany multi-hyphenate creative life. She is always full of ideas and the sheer audacity to pursue them. Briget founded an independent record label, Waxsimile Productions and queer musician collective, built a successful vocal coaching practice, and has been a key member of various Bay Area world music ensembles. Her musical and professional perspective is unique and it is echoed in her songs. Her new album, Heartbreak Residue is now available. |

These daring journey sets have showcased Roustam's fluid and original style. Formerly Roustam was also an integral part of the magnificent trio of accomplished producers and djs hailing from Russia, better known around the world as Special Case. As a crucial member of the collective, along with his partners Arram Mantana and Tripmastaz, Roustam has released accomplished records on Culprit (which was remixed by no other than the great Petre Inspirescu) and Souvenir. Special Case have also crafted stellar remixes for Supernature, Akbal, and Plant 74 among other labels, featuring unique takes on such artists as Tiefschwarz, Inxec & Droog and Gwen Maze. As a part of the group he has also performed at leading festivals such as Sonar, WMC and Amsterdam Dance Event and in clubs like Watergate, Odeon and Katerholzig. Special Case was three individuals with varied tastes and styles that seamlessly blend into a beautiful composition whether it was through their mesmerising sets or through breathtaking productions on tasteful labels! She promotes the Croatian region of Istria in her songs, which is why she got the nickname “Rose of Istria”. Vesna Nežić Ružić was born in Pula, in Istra, Croatia (then Yugoslavia). At a young age she started singing, inheriting her love of music from her parents who were also involved in music. She graduated from the classical gymnasium "Branko Semelić" and the secondary music school "Ivan Matetić Ronjgov" - solo singing department with Prof. Marica Visković, in Pula and then srudied law at the Faculty of Law in Rijeka (she works as a lawyer when not singing professionally). She began her professional singing career as a very young girl, winning several times at amateur singer festivals in Pula and Istria (1975). In 1975, she recorded her first studio song in collaboration with maestro Nello Milotti, entitled “Istarska serenada”. She was also awarded first place by the expert jury at the Youth Festival of the then Yugoslavia “Studentsko ljeto” in Maglaj in 1976, as a representative of the RTV Center Pula. in 1977 that she made her debut with the song "Vrtić pred kućom" , which was her award from the expert jury for winning 1st place at the festival of amateur singers of the then Yugoslavia in Maglaj, where she was delegated by the then HTV Center Pula. She became very poplar locally and still sings today (2025). Her trademark Istrian pop is a musical blend of tradition, contemporary, and mainstream pop melodies. The lyrics of Vesna's songs are typically Istrian themes and are related to the life and customs of an ordinary, small, hardworking Istrian people, so there is no topic that Vesna has not touched on in her songs. In her songs, through her distinctive interpretation, she speaks with love about her native Pula, Istria, St. Martin's Day, weddings, gunjci, noni and mater, laurel and roses, the sea, the sun, boats and fishermen, rikordi and pensiri, ulika, wine, prosciutto and truffles and much more. Sometimes she even inserts cooking into the whole story, as on the CD "Rikordi i pensiri", a kind of souvenir from Istria, on which, with each song, there are also autochthonous Istrian recipes in the form of "A Story about Love and Cooking" (B. Žižović). Infatti nella sua infanzia e fin verso i 17 anni si dedica professionalmente alla prestigiazione diventando anche insegnante della cartomagia. Parallelamente a questo, che più che un Hobby era diventata una vera e propria professione, si avventura alla scoperta di una seconda passione che mai lo abbandonerà: la chitarra. Paolo impara a suonare da autodidatta sfruttando i consigli di qualche buon amico...ed è con tanta passione e solo con quella che si chiude in camera e divora saprtiti musicali, canzonieri e da vita alle prime "storie" in musica. Non sarà (almeno fino ad ora) un gran chitarrista ma riesce comunque a dar vita ad un suo personalissimo modo di interpretare la musica dando libero sfogo alle sue emozioni e al suo estro. di queste composizioni fa sempre segreto, le registra alla meno peggio nella sua casa di montagna in gran segreto perchè nessuno possa mai ascoltarle... nel 2001 poi abbandona definitivamente la magia e il mondo dei prestigiatori lasciando posto all'università che lo farà diventare Ingegnere Elettronico. Ed è proprio in sede universitaria che si affaccia nel mondo audio professionale affrontando la fisica delle onde... decide così di approfondire questa materia e, finita l'università, frequenta con successo un corso riconosciuto di tecnico del suono diplomandosi a pieni voti. da quì comincia una carriera come fonico unendo quindi il lato tecnico a quello artistico: apre uno studio di registrazione con altri amici con cui da vita ad un'associazione culturale grazie alla quale ha la possibilità di lavorare in studio e Live con molti artisti più o meno affermati del panorama musicale italiano. Paolo sfrutta a pieno ogni occasione di lavoro come fonico per acquisire una conoscenza e una rete di contatti professionali che saranno poi fondamentali per la realizzazione di questo suo primo disco. come per dar sfogo alla sua primordiale passione, porta in studio al sua chitarra e pochi amici e comincia a registrare le tracce di alcune sue canzoni... il progetto, da subito interessante, trova il consenso di musicisti professionisti che decidono di dar seguito a quelle registrazioni. Paolo si dedica quasi unicamente alla stesura di brani e alle migliorie di quelli vecchi facendo una scelta e un lavoro certosino sugli arrangiamenti e sui tipi di strumenti da utilizzare...passione e genuina voglia di dar vita a qualcosa di personale e puro, lontano dagli schemi ordinari della discografia che ci invade le televisioni e le radio...senza nulla a pretendere e senza immense ambizioni, Paolo e i suoi "banditi" danno vita al disco d'esordio che Alessio Pelusi (un caro amico del cantautore teatino) ha deciso di intitolare ANIME SOTTO IL CAPPELLO: dieci canzoni, dieci storie che ricalcano le vicende e narrano di persone care e amici incontrati e persi nel corso degli anni...anni in cui la vita di Paolo è stata ricca di rivoluzioni e di stravolgimenti. Paolo e il suo produttore - grande "amico di vita" - Giulio Berghella, decidono di investire seriamente sul progetto facendo seguire a tutto questo una stampa, concerti teatrali, collaborazioni e tutto quanto possa dare visibilità professionale al prodotto. di tutto questo resta una scommessa contro la plastica musicale che si impone al mercato...e l'avvio di una carriera fatta di passione e semplice voglia di essere artisti. Paolo Tocco ora è impegnato nella promozione e pubblicazione del disco la cui uscita è prevista per il prossimo autunno. | |

"The Rivermen" formed in Little Rock, Arkansas in the early-to-mid 1960s: [a3576197] The Rivermen recorded and released a couple of singles within their local, Little Rock market before disbanding. A couple of years later, The Deep Water Reunion emerged on the scene in New Orleans when former "Rivermen" Jerry Miller, Barbara Raney, and Bob Hayes reunited there. The band played locally and even appeared on Bourbon Street before beginning a more extensive, two year tour. The tour eventually brought them to the upper midwest. In early 1968 they traveled to Nashville to record a single for RCA Records: "Ruby Foo." While the band had developed something of a regional following, it was during their tour through the upper midwest that they recorded the bulk of their material. They recorded two live albums in St. Paul, Minnesota over a couple of nights in the late spring / early summer of 1968. They returned to the area the following year to record their only studio album, "DWR", in Minneapolis. While some have come to think of them as "a Minnesota band" in the years since they disbanded, they were truly an Arkansas band with a Minnesota connection that only emerged later in their career. The Deep Water Reunion's unique renderings of some of the most popular songs of the late 1960s had kept them in demand for several years, and they have retained a sort of cult following to this day. But by the early 1970s the members again went their separate ways. Subsequently, members Hayes and Miller played as solo artists and in other bands throughout the midwest (and beyond), while Barbara Raney continued as a solo artist, and had a regional country rock hit in 1983. Singles / 7" releases: "Ruby Foo / I Wanna Know" RCA Victor – 47-9609 (1968) [r4688909] "It's All Over Now Baby Blue / Break My Mind" (Self released / Jerral, 1970) LPs: 1968: "Deep Water" -- Recorded "live at The Showboat." 1968: "Deepwater (161)" -- Recorded "live at The Showboat." Note: As both of these live albums were recorded at the same venue and share the same center labels, they are sometimes misunderstood as a single album with a re-issue. What differentiates each are different setlists, different matrix numbers, and different album jacket artwork. 1969: "DWR" - Studio album recorded at Sound 80 in Minneapolis, and released on the band's own "Jerral Records" imprint. Radio Play: "Cindy's Crying" Following the 1969 release of "DWR", this cover of a Tom Paxton song became a signature tune on Clyde Clifford's cutting-edge "Beaker Street" program on KAAY 1090 out of Little Rock. While KAAY's 'clear channel' status helped the band's rendition reach a very dedicated audience, the song was never released as a single. Today their rendition is both true to the underground status of the band and the nature of the Beaker Street program, itself. In other words it has become truly iconic. Nasheed (also known as "King Flex" or "K-Flex") was born on the west side of Detroit, Michigan on July 1st . He is an author, actor, and game counselor. He wrote the New York Times best seller The Art Of Mackin. Tariq moved from Detroit to Birmingham, Alabama in the early 1980s with his mother and grandmother. Due to slow pace and boredom of the social scene he saved money for an airplane ticket which cost $125 and decided to leave Birmingham for Los Angeles, California at age 17. A high school dropout, he was known as an infamous hustler and street legend in the Los Angeles area during the late 90's. It has been rumored that Nasheed was affiliated with the Los Angeles street gang the Crips. Tariq (then known as K-Flex or King Flex) became somewhat of a mediator between rival hustlers at that time. He created dating techniques that were a combination of what he learned from older hustlers and what he learned by reading psychology books. He called these techniques "G.I.C.2" (game, intelligence, and common sense; squared). Nasheed became what he calls a "game advisor," meaning he would teach these G.I.C.2 techniques to men and women on the underground scene. In 1999, Nasheed wrote a book based on his dating techniques called The Art Of Mackin, which has sold over 250,000 copies. The Art Of Mackin laid the foundation for the modern "seduction" industry. His followup book Play Or Be Played (Simon & Schuster) was catered towards women trying to learn "the game." In 2005, he released another book for men called The Mack Within (Penguin), and he appeared on TV shows such as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with Conan O'Brian, as well as on MTV, VH1, and BET. Furthermore, Nasheed has a series of radio podcasts covering topics including dating, relationships, and social isssues. He now does sold out lectures and seminars around the country and he has recently released an instructional DVD called Mack Lessons. He has another book geared towards women that will be released in 2008 called The Art Of Golddigging. |
