Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 6 | The Space-Makers | Big Beat Band (1963-1966) Carsten "Krasser" Weber Vocal, Boris Blinoff (Guitar), Jørn "Grye" Nielsen (Organ), Hans Kelp (Drums) Jørn Bonnesen (Bass) formed in Odense Denmark in 1963 with the following members: Carsten Weber (lead-voc.) Jørn Bonnesen (bass) Hans Kelp (ex- Apron Strings, dm) Jørn Mader (ex-Teen Beats, rhythm-gt) Boris »Binkowski« Blinoff (ex- Les Amis, lead gt) Originally played in the style of Cliff Richard & Shadows, but changed the style when Big Beat -broke through, & was especially inspired by the Indonesian group - The Javalins. During a tour to Hamburg's Star Club in the summer of 1964, Blinoff left the group and joined the German group Avalons. Mader took over lead-gt. & Jørn Grüe Nielsen (ex- Rebels, org) stepped in. In the spring of 1965, Blinoff returned and Mader stepped down. This crew won the Funen Championship in Pop Music 1965 & was placed as No. 3 at the subsequent DM in the Falkoner Center the same year, which led to a record contract and the broadcast of (1). At the end of 1965, Blinoff and Grüe left and were replaced by Niels Erik »Speedy« Sejr-Nielsen (org) (ex-Teen Beats) Poul Andy Andersen (lead-gt)(ex-Teen Beats). Spacemakers disbanded in the summer of 1966. The group played primarily on Funen and in Jutland, i.a. in Centrum Pop in Århus, Tyrolerlandsbyen in Vejle and in Hot House in Odense. Was also widely used warm-up group for foreign groups in Fyens Forum, i.a. The Rolling Stones, Pretty Things and Swinging Blue Jeans. Weber and Andy Andersen continued with Les Amis. For the city of Odense's 1000th anniversary in 1988, Mader, Blinoff and Kelp restore the group for a single day, and are assisted by Torben Wulff (bass). Once again the group is restored in 1992 and 1993 - this time, however, with Thomas Jacobsen on el-b. At the event "Rock with wrinkles 2000" in Odense, the group was resurrected with 4 of the members who formed it in 1963, as well as one of the 1965 members: Mader, Blinoff, Andersen, Bonnesen and Kelp (Bonnesen had not had a bass guitar in his hand in 33 years!). Also played in June and August 2001 respectively in Den Fynske Landsby and in Kongens Have and again at "Rock med Rynker" 2001, 2002, 2003 (Kelp stopped and was replaced by Jesper Olsen (ex-Roust About, Nemo and others)) , 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 (2008 unfortunately without an ill Mader), 2009, 2010, 2011: Bonnesen, Jesper I. Olsen (dm), Andersen, Peter Hansen (voc) Released in 2010 the CD "Back in time" and in 2013 "Don't stop the music..". Had a 50th anniversary concert in 2013 with the crew Bonnesen, Olsen, Blinoff, Hansen, Andersen, Palle B. Christensen (piano), where Mader, Kelp and Rock-Nalle also participated. Dissolved in 2015 due to internal problems regarding repertoire, direction and seriousness. Poul Andy and Boris Blinoff form the group X-All Stars with Jesper Olsen (including ex-Blues Syndicate, Roust About and Spacemakers) and Erling Andersen (including ex-Rockfighters, Candy Boys and Jackson's Garden). Spacemakers continues with Bonnesen, Mader, Hansen and Nikolaj Fage Lorentzen (dm) and Palle Christensen (piano). | |

Cigani strived to develop their own distinctive style with innovative vocal and instrumental arrangements. Five popular long-play albums and one cassette were produced and many of the songs on these recordings still remain very popular. |

Their highly original work has gained them extensive recognition both here and abroad. They have evolved a revue form with short plays, song,s dances, stories tung together as a child might freely associate. In place of typical sets and costumes made with theatrical paints and fabrics the paper bag players use easily obtained everyday things, paper bags, cardboard boxes and household objects, with these simple, very familiar materials the paper bag players create a complete theatre fantasy.

The use very early of the machines like VIC 20, COMMODORE 64, and trackers on AMIGA influenced his musical choices considerably. But most important was undoubtedly his meeting with the music of ART OF NOISE, then WARP (LFO), Orbital and THE ORB on the one hand, and the world of dance music with Richie Hawtin, Joey Beltram... on the other hand. From now on, his objective is to produce a high quality music without compromise, in order to perpetuate the movement initiated by the aformentioned artists. |

| Search | Add | 6 | Happy Tony | Anthony Frank Karvaski | Happy Tony (AKA Wesoły Antek), whose real name was Anthony Frank Karvaski, first gained fame for his unbridled vocals for Stanky and his Pennsylvania Coal Miners, before performing and recording with his own Coal Diggers, whose core membership also included Mike Yalch (saxophone), Al Walker (bass), and Richie Yalch (accordion). The son of an actual coal miner, Tony was born in Nanticoke, PA, in 1929, and ran away from home at the age of nine. He was judged “incorrigible” and sentenced to “Kis-Lyn,” the Luzerne County Industrial School for Boys. In 1950 he was sentenced to prison for two counts each of armed robbery and auto theft. In 1960, Tony was convicted of the armed robbery of the Polish-American Club in Nanticoke. Upon release in 1962, Tony underwent an unsuccessful corneal transplant operation (there are reports of a prior boxing career as “Tony Kaye”). At the eye hospital, Tony met his future wife, Mary Carfago, who’d had the same operation. In 1965, Tony was treated for a cataract in his other eye, but sadly, was now legally blind. Tony had studied Polish in prison (his father had emigrated from Poland) and sang in Polish with Stanky’s band and then his own, making several LP recordings in the late 1960s. While continuing his music career, Tony enrolled in college, beginning at Luzerne County Community College, then transferring to Kings College, and earning a BA in Sociology in 1972, the year after his wife had passed away. Leaving the music profession behind, he became the Coordinator of the Work Release Program of the Luzerne County Correctional Facility, a position he held from 1973 until 1987. Tony said that he wanted "to show people that when a man goes to prison for a little while, he doesn't come out a three-headed monster, but as a human being who can become a productive member of society. I want the public to get rid of that negative attitude that once a man commits a crime, he can’t get back into society.” (In 1976, Tony received an official pardon from the State of Pennsylvania.) Tony then moved to Florida where he became Corrections Case Manager of the Orange County Community Treatment Center. Anthony F. Karvaski (Happy Tony/Wesoły Antek) passed away in Winter Park, FL, on May 12, 1991, and was entombed in the same cemetery as his parents in Pennsylvania. |

| Search | Add | 6 | Frank Virtuoso | Francis F. Virtuoso | Born on January 21, 1923. He played the violin as a child and took up the guitar and the double bass as a teenager. He continued with the latter as a member of the Philadelphia Orchestra and studied orchestration at Temple University. He enlisted in the Navy in 1945 and became bandleader of the Regular Navy Dance Band in Bainbridge, Maryland. He was discharged in 1946 because his father, who had been diagnosed with cancer, could no longer support his family. Virtue considered putting together a big band but, due to financial constraints, assembled an amplified trio instead, with Ralph Frederico on the piano and Steve Rossi on the guitar. Virtue named the band the Virtuoso Trio after their formation in 1947. The Virtuoso Trio toured the regional club circuit for the better part of a decade, playing as far as Canada and making regular appearances on Philadelphia radio and television. They appear to have been the house band at Chubby's Cafe in West Collingswood, New Jersey in 1949 and 1950. They performed as a backup ensemble for Patti Page, Rosemary Clooney, Dick Haymes, June Christy, and others. When local Pennsylvanians Bill Haley & the Comets hit big in the mid-1950s, Virtue found a receptive audience in the teenagers who loved the nascent rock & roll craze. By this time, the group's lineup had expanded, with Virtue on the bass, John Renner on the saxophone, Jimmy Bruno on the guitar, Joe Vespe on the drums, and Dave Kaplin as an occasional vocalist. Under the name the Virtues, they released a rock reworking of Arthur "Guitar Boogie" Smith's country hit "Guitar Boogie" in 1958 under the title "Guitar Boogie Shuffle", on the Hunt label. The instrumental became a major hit in the U.S., peaking at #27 on the Black Singles chart and #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1959. The single also became a sheet music smash, selling well worldwide. Several singles followed – "Flippin", "Boogie Woogie", "Vaya con Dios" – but none of them succeeded; the group was signed by ABC-Paramount, but their only return to the charts was with the 1962 release "Guitar Boogie Shuffle Twist" which reached #95 in the United States pop charts. Towards the end of 1962, Virtue disbanded the group and primarily pursued a career as a record producer and recording engineer. His original studio, in the basement of his house on Fayette Street, was where "Guitar Boogie Shuffle" was originally recorded. He opened a new business, [l368463], located at 1618 N. Broad St., which became one of the top studios in Philadelphia for a number of years until closing in the early 1980s. He produced and mixed (with his wife Mary Anne Virtue) groups such as "Society's Child", a top 40 band from the Wilmington, Delaware area. Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff, among others, produced records at Virtue's studio before moving on to [l264049]. The song "Hey There, Lonely Girl" by Eddie Holman was produced at the studio, as were "That's Life" and "Who Stole the Keeshka?" by Gabriel & the Angels. In later years Virtue Studios was the home of a number of rap groups, including Dr. Roxx & Co. Collectables Records released a collection of Virtues instrumentals in 1993 as Guitar in Orbit.. |

| Search | Add | 6 | Judy Domeny | Judy grew up on a farm near Rogersville, Missouri. The fourth of five children, Judy learned early how to weed gardens, pick up rocks from the fields, stack wood, and haul hay. To entertain herself while she worked, she sang folk songs. She sang of broken hearted Barbara Allen, English kings and queens, cowboys and Indians. She sang of Civil War battles, sailing ships, train wrecks, and murders. She sang to her pony on long trail rides and to the cows as she helped pen them. Fascinated by the stories within the songs, she developed a repertoire of hundreds of Ozark folk songs. The majority of Judy’s traditional folksong repertoire comes from the Ozark song collections of Max Hunter and Vance Randolph. Some of the songs date back to fourteenth century England, but most of her selections date from the early 1800s to the early 1900s. | |

| Search | Add | 6 | Yangın | Yangın is a Turkish post-punk band that blends dark, atmospheric melodies with raw, emotional lyricism. Emerging from the underground scene, Yangın has quickly gained momentum over the past two years, carving out a distinctive space in Turkey’s alternative music landscape. Their debut album, Plastik, introduced a sound that is both melancholic and rebellious, resonating deeply with a generation caught between nostalgia and modern anxieties. With hits like Benim Yerim, Bir Yaz Daha Bitti, and Arabesk; the band continues to push sonic boundaries by drawing influence from post-punk, new wave, and Turkish rock traditions. Beyond Turkey, the band is setting its sight on the European scene, aiming to bring their music to a wider audience. With an electrifying stage presence and a growing fanbase, Yangın is poised to become one of the most exciting voices in modern post-punk. | Search | Add | 6 | The Bon Ton Soul Accordion Band | Kansas City Inspired by Zydeco accordion legends Clifton Chenier and Rockin’ Dopsie, Richard Lucente rediscovered his long-abandoned childhood instrument on extensive travels in Creole Louisiana. Soon after, he was afforded the opportunity (at age 40) to start his first band. Lucente’s prolific songwriting skills enabled the ever-evolving band to present an adults-only, dance-friendly original blend of Zydeco, Blues and R&B to their considerable and rabid fan base. It also supported the release of five successful albums comprised totally of original songs. Their annual Crawfish Fiestas routinely drew 10,000 fans. The band’s proud induction into The 2014 Kansas Music Hall of Fame is dedicated to the late, great Ed Toler, bassist for 17 years of the bands existence. | |

Faster Pussycat just signed a Record deal and had to replace him, but shortly after that he joined L.A. GUNS and was they're bass player for the 1st 3 records. Luke liked Punky for his Glam Image and solid and melodic bass playing. It turned out to be the right fit. Next thing on Luke's agenda was finding the right charismatic good looking singer frontman. Well Sable Sex answered the ad and Sable didn't get the nickname "SEX" for nothing! Sables motto was "Sables the Name Sex is the game the man get's all the dames and they're never the same!" When Sable arrived to audition he walked down the stairs with a hot chick on each arm and sounded and looked the part. But it was the crazy off the wall personality that won him the job as Frenchee's fearless leader! Wow he found the right frontman that was just as crazy and partied just as hard as him & Punky. 6 Months earlier Sable meet soon to be drummer Niki Shea at a Rock Nightclub called L'AMOURS the rock capitol of Brooklyn. Niki Shea was on tour at the time with a band opening up for Warlock. Sable called Niki and told him he joined a promising Rock band called Frenchee with a Record company interest from Polygram Records and we need a drummer and your the 1st one that came to mind to complete the Ultimate Glam Sleaze Band. Well the east cost tour was just finishing up for Niki. So he came down for the audition. Luke, Punky & Sable all gave the thumbs up and proceeded to celebrate with a dozen bottles of champagne. Marking the beginning of Frenchee's crazy booze & sex filled debauchery! And Frenchee soon became notorious for there drunken backstage sex party's. Even the Groupies Mom's weren't safe! Some on tour stories can't be told! Due to signing a new Record deal with FnA Records in 2013, Frenchee will be releasing remastered recordings and previously unreleased songs. The FRENCHEE Boy's will be getting back together for a reunion tour, and also look out for a brand new Frenchee album of new songs that you can sink your teeth into. | Search | Add | 6 | Jan Hovers | Jan Hovers is a multidisciplinary artist who uses personal experiences, dreams, struggles, and desires as ingredients for his storytelling. His work spans music, soundscapes, linocuts, and podcasts, often drawing on a past filled with vanished people, images, and sounds. From an early age, Jan has sought to capture fleeting moments in sound and image, aiming to grasp the ephemeral. This can manifest in unexpected ways, such as his late grandmother’s voice from 1974 appearing in a song or a musical collage featuring his 19-year-old self purchasing a compass in an English village shop. Jan frequently incorporates material from his extensive collection of 78 RPM records, where each fragile shellac disc preserves three minutes of time that he feels compelled to save. He also draws inspiration from books, films, and heritage, often predating his birth, as their abstract and bygone nature allows him to reinterpret and create new stories. This process of positive escapism brings him happiness and helps him make sense of unresolved experiences and emotions. Jan’s unique style is characterized by small auditory landscapes in his music. Through these narrative-driven creations, Jan invites his audience into a parallel world—a refuge from the mundane, everyday life. His overarching goal is to bring as many unborn stories to life as possible, which he sees as his greatest and most joyful motivation.
