Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

February 22, 1986 He began piano lessons at age eight. At 12, Eddy was part of a local orchestra, playing the piano while his audience kept time to two-step favorites. In the Navy, during the first World War, he played on stage with many celebrities like Douglas Fairbanks, Mary Pickford, and others. Then he played the saxophone in one of John Philip Sousa's hand-picked bands from 1917-1919. In 1923, Eddy Hanson became the first radio organist in Chicago at station WDAP (later WGN), playing on radio shows with Grace Wilson, Kate Smith and Rudy Vallee, "Amos and Andy," "Fibber McGee and Molly," "Helen Trent," "Myrt and Marge" and others. He also played occasional 15 minute solo spots. Later, as an acclaimed musician, he was still composing and had written over 300 songs. Hanson moved back to Wisconsin, retiring in Waupaca, in the early 1960s. He performed locally with polka bandleader Lawrence Duchow, and taught lesson's through Al Rollo's Hammond Organ studios. He released 3 LPs and a single (from the 3rd LP) through Rollo's private label in 1969, and reissued one LP, "Eddy Hanson - Master Organist" through his own personal Kobar Records in 1985. In the 1970s he was regarded as the oldest master organist still alive, and still active giving concerts and seminars on organ performance. After another decade of successes and accolades, Eddy was honored as a special member of 1980 AMICA (Automatic Musical Instrument Collector's Association) for his earlier piano roll work. In April of 1984 Eddy moved into the Wisconsin Veteran's Home in King, Wisconsin. The master organist died there at the age of 92 in 1986. |

Heather’s forte is unaccompanied song and she sings with great feeling and delicacy in her fine clear voice. Her singing has been described as peaceful and calming to listen to. Heather’s solo set is an eclectic variety of traditional and contemporary folk songs with a little poetry to compliment her songs. She is available a capella or backed by one of the fine musicians from her latest album “Here Comes The Day”. “Here Comes The Day” is receiving wide airplay in radio stations across Ireland, USA and the UK. Heather began singing professionally in 1990 after performing as the resident singer at the “Sunflower Folk Club” in Belfast for several years and recording her first album “All’s Fair in Love and War” at Spring Records, Rostrevor, Northern Ireland in 1989. In 1990 she moved to Scotland and toured folk clubs and pubs in Scotland and Ireland in duo “Donegal Folk Weave” (later to become Irish gaelic band “D́úlamán”) and gigged solo as an a capella singer and with various backing musicians for 6 years in Scottish and English folk clubs and festivals. Since then she’s toured with various bands and duos in the UK, Australia, Thailand, Germany, Denmark, Ireland, Canada and USA. She still sings and records with “Caim” and has done so since 1998. Search | Add | 5 | Lost Lakes | Madison, Wisconsin Lost Lakes is a collaboration between Corey Mathew Hart and Paul Mitch. The two met during a songwriting competition held by a local radio station. It wasn't until they returned for a duets portion of the follow year's competition that Corey saw Paul play bass and singing harmonies. The first time Corey and Paul played together, they clicked musically and personally. The collaboration has grown over the years, developing into a strong songwriting and production team with a focus on well-crafted tunes and tight vocal harmonies. Lost Lakes' self-titled debut record bears witness to their talents and the fact the whole can be greater than the sum of its parts. Recorded over a 9 month period, the recording process was a labor of love. Paul and Corey produced the record and enlisted percussionist Shane Leonard (Field Report, The Stray Birds) along with longtime bandmate Rusty Lee on keyboards to fill out the sound. The project was recorded in a shared warehouse space called the Dojo. Many of the basic tracks were recorded live in 2 separate sessions with overdubs done in small Thursday night sessions. Being fairly porous to the outside elements, the temperature in the Dojo ranged from 41 degrees to well over 100 over the course of the project, adding a sense of adventure to the sessions. Being able to take their time for this project gave Corey and Paul a lot of freedom to try different sounds and arrangements for songs they have been playing live for a couple of years. With no pressure, no deadline, and a giant warehouse space filled with eclectic gear, the two managed to create a record of the highest quality. When it came time to mix the album, Corey and Paul called on an old acquaintance, Grammy award winning engineer Justin Guip. The two had met Guip years ago when they opened for The Amy Helm (daughter of Levon Helm) at a Barn show in Spring Green, WI. Guip also happened to have just finished a record with the Stray Birds that Shane Leonard played percussion on. The past and present collided, and the timing couldn't have been better. Corey and Paul approached Guip about mixing the record and he was very excited about the songs and tracks that were laid down at the Dojo. Guip's aesthetic greatly aligned with the vision that Paul and Corey had for the record, and the result is a compelling masterpiece.

Search | Add | 5 | Andy Baar | Andy Baar | Andy Baar's first contact with electronic Dance music was in 1993 at Düsseldorf Unionrave. From there on he'd knew ”This is my thing”. Being Guest at several Parties with electronic Music he felt the need to swap his place on the dancefloor with a place behind the turntables. In 1996 having the first gigs in Clubs around Cologne. 1997 was the beginning of what he really liked: He started as resident DJ at Evosonic Radio. From the first day to it's last, Evosonic Radio was his second home base. Starting with the Show ”Evopool-Update”, he loved to work on air and everything that had to do with that, like recording jingles, creating concepts and sets for the show. Quick after that he had his first own weekly show called “Sleep Disorder”. Hours and hours on air, getting a much brighter horizon of what electronic music could do, he went more and more familiar with lots of genres electronic music has to offer. Several gigs around Germany and being a part of the Loveprades DJset 1998 and 1999 were some of his highlights. 2012 the old love of making Radio shows knocked on his door with the possibility of having an online broadcast at the 15th anniversary of Evosonic Radio. Since the he used this way for broadcasting his “Wunderbaar Radioshow” (since 2016 his show “Sleep Disorder” as podcast) for letting old and new fans have the typical sound again. 2017 started Evosonic Radio again….with Andy Baar. 2017 is also the year of another highlight in his career. On Evosonic Records his first production is released: "Sleep Disorder EP". |

He had the honour of becoming one of the first Iban to record an EP record for the Singapore based Nanyang Radio before the emergence of other renowned Iban artists such as Michael Jemat and Christopher Kelly. Different from other Iban artists, he preferred to record Iban language covers of songs by Tom Jones, Engelbert Humperdinck when many of his contemporaries borrowed tunes of Malay or Bollywood songs. His distintive voice has won him many fans over the years with songs such as Maria Ambai Aku, Lebak Pengerindu, Benak Menua and the list just goes on! In recordings, he was often accompanied by The Peaks Electrical, a band from Singapore. He worked as a policeman and passed away on 24th July 2018. |

Search | Add | 5 | Christian Lancry | Chris Lancry, guitar and harp player born in 1951 in Marseille France, started playing guitar at the age of 12. Playing Beatles and Stones songs with various bands, he discovered [a59792] in 1964 and started to play blues and American traditional folk music. In 1970, he went to Paris and started performing at the T.M.S and the American Center. In this famous place, he met [a647077], [a307635], [a1512442], [a1562142], [a663572], [a866971] and later, [a1264961] and [a375023]. [a322731] and [a1318727], two rock’n roll journalists and record producers, noticed him while he was playing on street corners. In 1971, he recorded his first album, in the vein of traditional blues: [r5119915] with other musicians like [a502367], [a1562142] and [a770740] ([a285789] road fellow), Chris played National steel guitar and harp. At the end of 1971, he left France for the United States hoping to see his idols, Big Joe Williams, John Hammond etc.… in Greenwich Village clubs. After returning to France, he started to perform in the budding club and festival circuit. His guitar style is based on both traditional playing and improvisation. After studying Lightnin’ Hopkins, Robert Johnson and different acoustic blues styles, he discovered «White music» by Doc Watson, Merle Travis and Jerry Reed. His playing is a mix of all these influences. Since the Sixties, he has been playing with a plastic thumbpick and two irons fingerpick (index and middle finger). He also plays «Strumming» and «Flat picking». In the best tradition of [a59792], [a692192] or [a1223373], he plays guitar and harp simultaneously (with a rack). In 1998, he was named Best Acoustic Blues Guitarist at the First Edition of the France Blues Awards. He plays at clubs and festivals, and he has released several albums. He also plays with the [a1260768] on their albums and in concerts, playing mainly acoustic slide guitar and harp.

Dave began sending Ken his video recordings from live performances, which included some with former-collaborator, [a=Stuart Rosenzweig], and eventually it was decided that during Ken's visits to Maryland, he and Dave could perform as a duo, calling themselves Safe Creations. Their first concert was a benefit for An Die Musik, which hired national acts in the classical and jazz field to perform there. This being a success, the following year [2013] found them doing two shows, one in Baltimore and one in Washington D.C., which had a growing interest in electronic music. With an Advance CD having been distributed at their first concert, Ken decided that [a=Safe Creations] should have a studio album, so he went to work on the first official release on Bandcamp, "Unconscious Power".

Search | Add | 5 | Fast Piece Of Furniture | This Toledo, Ohio-based band was formed by singer and guitarist Tony Lowe, who played with a variety of bands in Ohio, including Junior Electric. In 2003 he met Jeff Nelson, who had drummed for many bands, most notably Minor Threat. Jeff moved to Toledo from the Washington, DC area because of his obsession with old Jeep Wagoneers, (Jeep is from Toledo) and for Toledo’s remarkable collection of affordable Victorian houses. Although when he moved he had not played drums in 12 years, he was so impressed by Tony's playing, singing, and songwriting that he came out of retirement to join his band. Several lineup changes later, they were joined by bassist Mahlon Orrin, who’d played in The Black Dahlia Murder and PB.Army. Shortly thereafter, the band was completed when friend and law student Erika Kuester joined them on keyboards. When Tony had first looked around the big Victorian house Jeff bought, he was immediately struck by how perfect it would be for recording, especially the third-floor ballroom. With friend Brian Nupp (known as the “Fifth Piece of Furniture”) engineering, a great variety of sounds were captured in the ballroom, the second floor hall, and in various bedrooms and bathrooms. The results can be heard on their debut album, “Adventures in Contentment,” a co-release between Adult Swim and Dischord Records.

Search | Add | 5 | Moral Excerpt | Different times require different methods, different problems ask for different solutions. In an era without much sense or reason, without a clear path if not one toward annihilation, old morality becomes an excerpt, a footnote in the abysmal history of mankind. Moral Excerpt is born out of all of this unrelenting decay, a devilish creature without a stable place in time and space. Francesco Presotto, already know as the mind behind the noise outfit Geometria Nervosa and the mutant techno project Søulless, unites forces with music reviewer, underground composer and copywriter Davide Pappalardo a.k.a. Førgotten and Abismø, going one step further in the pursuit of modern noise music with roots in the past. By mixing harsh noise, ambient, orchestral music, rhythmic mantras, they want to achieve a sound with a purpose and far from both today's fashionable scenes and tiresome clichés. Expect a score for our age, sonic comments about politics, society, inner turmoils, and the violent side of existence — rage, melancholy, confusion, moments of epiphany picture a contradictory world with nothing certain but death.
