Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026

Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 5 Elvira Quintillá Elvira Quintillá Ramos Barcelona, September 19, 1928 - Madrid, December 27, 2013. She was a Spanish actress and singer (zarzuelas), active between 1941 - 2004. Although is little known, she also won the 1st Prize for Interpretation, with the band [a=Los Iruña'ko] at the 2nd Benidorm Festival, in 1960. Taking advantage of the pull of his triumph in Benidorm, a new release with clear rhythmic content was immediately published: "Te Amaré Toda la Vida" ([a=Hispavox], 1960), but didn't achieve significant sales. In the 1961 edition of the Benidorm Festival -third in chronological order-, which had already become the most important event of that incipient modern Spanish music, she did not attend. However, she recorded an EP with songs from that date, led by the winning song "Enamorada", generically titled "III Spanish Song Festival" ([l=Hispavox], 1961), but went completely unnoticed. Her acting career was more succesful so he move to acting (for instance “Plácido”, byLuis García Berlanga, 1961). She would no longer record or participate in musical activities.

Search Add 5 Bud Petal Eran Asoulin Bud Petal is the stage name of musician Eran Asoulin, who with his band has now released 4 albums. His music has been described as “cerebral art-folk”, “a true outsider, a freak-folk wunderkind”. He was “discovered” when his self-produced first album was pulled from the trash at a local radio station. A self-taught musician from The Levant, he spent his teenage years immersed in the bohemian/DIY art scene of Newtown, Sydney. His music collides Mediterranean 70s/80s folk pop (Lucio Battisti, Nada Malanima, Aviv Geffen), the Middle Eastern/Arabic music of his childhood (Marcel Khalife, Oum Khaltoum) and from the West: early Joan Baez and elements of free jazz. His voice is a glorious, glissading din with stuttering vibrato. Lyrically you’ll find an oddly surreal, socialist-humanist world with strands of Emile Zola, A. B. Yehoshua, Yaakov Shavtai, Andre Breton, Noam Chomsky, Naomi Klein, and John Pilger. As well as receiving airplay in radio stations all over Australia, in Berlin, in Paris, and in the United States, Bud Petal has curated and featured in shows at the Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide Fringe Festivals.

Search Add 5 Lars Ekengren Örnsköldsvik, Sweden With a voice that maneuvers effortlessly from a heartrending intimacy to a matter-of-life-and-death roar, Lars Ekengren challenges the very best at delivering a song in a way that leaves no one untouched. Native of Örnsköldsvik, a small town on the coast of northern Sweden, Ekengren grew up to the sound of Ronnie James Dio coming from a cassette player and his father playing jazz trumpet in the basement. Though an engineer by trade, music has been the common thread in Ekengren’s life. In the late 00’s he started performing with original songs, often colored by his five-year stay in the US in the early decade. Following the state win in a song contest hosted by Swedish radio in 2013, his entry song ”153 More Days” got a fair share of airtime and the growing of a fan base slowly started. In 2015 came his debut release, the live-feel EP ”Dirt”, which was well received and served as a stepping stone for landing opening gigs for acts such as Drew Holcomb, Uncle Lucius and The Thousand Dollar Playboys. Ekengren’s debut album ”Monsters” (2018) is a gracefully arranged and well produced collection of songs that certainly brings more to mind than a middle-aged engineer from a small town in the north of Sweden. Blurring the lines between pop, rock and alt-country, ”Monsters” showcases Ekengren’s acute sense for an infectious melody, his powerful lyrical imagery, and – much thanks to his vocals – a persistent energy that this genre of music is not spoiled with. Reflecting on ”Monsters”, Ekengren says: ”It has taken my entire life to write this album – both literally and figuratively. It’s a collection of songs that echoes of fear, pain, happiness, sorrow, love, memories, hopelessness, confusion, resignation, hope, anxiety, alienation … well, pretty much everything and anything that fits into one’s existence. Despite it being my first album – it’s my legacy, of some sort.”.

Search Add 5 Asmodeous Asmodeous is an old school Death Metal band from Chicago, Illinois. The band was originally conceived under the name Cessation in 1993 and settled upon the name Asmodeous in 1994. All having an interest in extreme, fast, heavy music, founding members Kevin Schenk, Manny Canchola, Steve McDowell, and Joe Fraser met while attending the same high school. The spelling of the name Asmodeous is a slight variation from the original spelling Asmodeus, a leader of demons from the Book of Tobit. Kevin insisted on changing the spelling of the name to distinguish the band from past literature and other groups already named Asmodeus. Tyrant of the Land features guest guitarist Jon Heaton, playing second guitar and some solo work on the EP. In 2001, the Chicagoland Death Metal scene suffered a very tragic loss by the passing of vocalist Kevin Schenk, who was also playing Bass Guitar for band In Pieces. In Pieces later changed their name to Dead For Days. Manny Canchola assumed Kevin's position on Bass Guitar in Dead For Days after Kevin's passing, to carry on Kevin's work and legacy. Performing Members: Kevin Schenk-Vocals Manny Canchola-Guitar Jon Heaton-Guitar Steve McDowell-Bass Guitar Joe Fraser-Drums

Search Add 5 Ritmos Tropicosmos Ritmos Tropicosmos is a seven-piece psychedelic cumbia group, from Oakland, California. They began as a studio project by founding members Jake Rodriguez (órgano) and Bobby Ganush (bass) in October, 2018. Soon after, they enlisted percussionists Jules Anastasia (congas) and Güira Güero (timbales, guacharaca) with Da'vid Garcia on vocals to record the Halloween themed "Tumba de la Momia". In 2019, they augmented the band by adding a full line up, consisting of Eli Reyes on vocals and synthesizers, Lesli Rodriguez on güira and vocals, Danny Ceseña on guitar and part-time member Ivan Flores on caja. Later that year, they released their debut 45 on Discos Más, consisting of two songs: "Tumba de la Momia" and "Beso de Muerte". Ritmos Tropicosmos continues with a heavy emphasis on tropical waveforms and psychedelic sounds. Their inspiration is the sum of their seven minds - meeting at the intersection of multiple timelines. A crossroads of electricity and molten earth, somewhere within the traditional rhythms of the past and the futuristic textures of The Now.

But they really seem to enjoy making holiday themed albums the most (So far they have tackled Christmas twice, 1 classic Valentine's mixtape) and their impressive follow up project called "High on Wax".

Search Add 5 Drift Mouth Originally conceived as a retirement gift for Lou Poster's father upon his completion of 37 years mining for Consolidation Coal in West Virginia, the first recording that would become the foundation for Drift Mouth was made in 2006. Poster and drummer Brad Swiniarski had met playing shows together in previous bands (Poster in Grafton, Swiniarski in Bob City, the Means, Bigfoot) but had never worked together in a writing/recording environment. The result was a collection of covers (Dark as a Dungeon) and originals (Loveridge is Burning) that captured a modern yet decidedly time-arrested feel, like an old photograph that somehow hasn't faded or yellowed. As sometimes happens with projects like these, once the sessions were finished the completed work was delivered to its intended audience of one, and shelved for later. Eight years later, as it turns out. As the conversations turned into practices, more pieces were added to the group: Marc Spurgeon, Craig Davidson, Josh “Roscoe” Draher, and Regan Tonti. More ideas were invited in, and the sounds grew to include multi-part harmonies and layered guitars. Over the years, inevitable lineup changes have taken place—in 2016 bass was picked up by Eric Johnson, while slide and rhythm guitar duties were taken over by Brett Burleson.

L'any 1963: "El cavaller Godia", "Maria Roser", "El modernitzat", "Un cel més blau". L'any 1964: "Una núvia estrangera", "A Emili Vendrell", "El paraigües", "Les veles".
