Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

It was the first of many bands Tim "Ripper" Owens (Beyond Fear, Judas Priest, Iced Earth) fronted in his music career. They recorded three demo tapes called "Brainicide", "Brutal Mentality" and "Dammage Daze". They also recorded a song exclusively for the "Heavy Artillery" compilation called "Payment In Blood". "Brainicide" and "Dammage Daze" were actually recorded under the bands original name, Dammage Inc. They formed in 1986 under this name as a cover band, but began writing original songs and playing a few of them per concert. In August 1988 they recorded their debut demo, releasing some copies as "Dammage Inc." with live bonus tracks, before officially changing names in October and releasing it under the new name, without the live tracks. The live tracks, alongside 1 other, would be remastered in 1989 and released as the "Dammage Daze" demo, a nod to the name of era of the band that the songs were recorded in and represent (Dammage Daze, as in "the Days of Dammage Inc.") Also recorded an unreleased demo of original songs in 1987 with the original Dammage Inc. lineup. This includes their first song "Insane", as well as others such as "Kings of Metal" (which received play on college radio at the time) and the instrumental "Flight of the Dammaged Bumblebee".

Taavi discovered his love for music at a young age and began experimenting with different sounds and instruments. Besides guitar and piano, he was particularly fascinated by electronic music with its seemingly endless possibilities. As his talent grew, Taavi began composing and producing music for other artists, and his work quickly gained recognition. However, after a health breakdown, he realised that he needed to change his life and return to nature to slow down the pace of life. This experience inspired him to make music that touches people's souls and helps them find inner peace. Taavi's music has a relaxing and meditative effect that helps listeners escape from everyday life and find themselves. He believes that his music has the power to heal and bring people together. With his music, Taavi wants to reach people's hearts and spread love and positivity.

Search | Add | 5 | Lost Lakes | Madison, Wisconsin Lost Lakes is a collaboration between Corey Mathew Hart and Paul Mitch. The two met during a songwriting competition held by a local radio station. It wasn't until they returned for a duets portion of the follow year's competition that Corey saw Paul play bass and singing harmonies. The first time Corey and Paul played together, they clicked musically and personally. The collaboration has grown over the years, developing into a strong songwriting and production team with a focus on well-crafted tunes and tight vocal harmonies. Lost Lakes' self-titled debut record bears witness to their talents and the fact the whole can be greater than the sum of its parts. Recorded over a 9 month period, the recording process was a labor of love. Paul and Corey produced the record and enlisted percussionist Shane Leonard (Field Report, The Stray Birds) along with longtime bandmate Rusty Lee on keyboards to fill out the sound. The project was recorded in a shared warehouse space called the Dojo. Many of the basic tracks were recorded live in 2 separate sessions with overdubs done in small Thursday night sessions. Being fairly porous to the outside elements, the temperature in the Dojo ranged from 41 degrees to well over 100 over the course of the project, adding a sense of adventure to the sessions. Being able to take their time for this project gave Corey and Paul a lot of freedom to try different sounds and arrangements for songs they have been playing live for a couple of years. With no pressure, no deadline, and a giant warehouse space filled with eclectic gear, the two managed to create a record of the highest quality. When it came time to mix the album, Corey and Paul called on an old acquaintance, Grammy award winning engineer Justin Guip. The two had met Guip years ago when they opened for The Amy Helm (daughter of Levon Helm) at a Barn show in Spring Green, WI. Guip also happened to have just finished a record with the Stray Birds that Shane Leonard played percussion on. The past and present collided, and the timing couldn't have been better. Corey and Paul approached Guip about mixing the record and he was very excited about the songs and tracks that were laid down at the Dojo. Guip's aesthetic greatly aligned with the vision that Paul and Corey had for the record, and the result is a compelling masterpiece.
Search | Add | 5 | Братья Покрасс | Pokrass brothers (братья Покрасс) were a duo of Soviet composers Dmitry (1899–1978) and Daniel Pokrass (1905–1954), who composed various popular romances and military songs, including famous marches Red Army Is The Strongest (Красная Армия всех сильней) and Budyonny March (Марш Будённого), as well as the music for numerous feature and documentary films. They were one of the originators of the revolutionary aesthetics in Soviet music, and while critics later saw many of their works as propagandist "poster-songs" and denounced them for blatant obsequiousness to the communist regime, at the time Pokrass tunes were broadly popular all across the Soviet Union. Dmitry and Daniel praised Soviet military leaders and politicians in their songs, namely [a=Joseph Stalin], Kliment Voroshilov, and Semyon Budyonny. In the sixties, some of their songs were censored to remove any mentions of Stalin. Dmitry and Daniel were only two of the four Pokrass siblings active in music. The eldest brother Samuel Pokrass (1897–1939) immigrated to the United States in the end of the twenties and had a fairly successful career as Hollywood and Broadway composer. Sam Pokrass was poisoned in New York in 1939. Arkady Pokrass (1898–196?) was a virtuoso pianist and accompanist for various popular artists, including Natalia Tamara (Mitina-Buynitskaya) and Vadim Kozin. Unlike his more opportunistic brothers, Arkady didn't manage to adapt to the new ideological realities of the Soviet Union. After Kozin was arrested and sent to Kolyma in 1939, Arkady Pokrass abruptly ended his career and not much is known about him ever since. In Soviet musicological literature, the names of Arkady and Samuel were practically erased, so Pokrass brothers were seen as a duo of Dmitry and Daniel.

Search | Add | 5 | Burnt Paw | Burnt Paw is a songwriter and fingerstyle folk guitarist who lives beneath Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh. His music is influenced by a wide range of alternative and experimental artists/styles from both sides of the Atlantic, including psychedelic folk, contemporary, new/dark folk and whatever weird wonders he discovers on Bandcamp (that’s where you’ll find his music too). Burnt Paw’s songs unwind from oral histories, dream-fragments, myths, imaginary adventures and life-stores. He loves self-made art, occasionally publishes poetry, reads a lot of Walt Whitman and buys too many second hand books on Neolithic history.
