Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026

Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Jazzator Jazzator is a Russian-Swiss quartet that has embarked upon an adventurous mission of blending chamber music and jazz, free improvisation and wild post-breakbeat grooving. The result is a powerful iconoclastic sound and an exciting action that takes place on stage. The band consists of a composer/pianist/singer Marina Sobyanina, a baritone sax player Oleg Mariakhin, a drummer Sergey Balashov and a bass player Maximilian Grossenbacher, who recently joined the band. The musicians have fun with complicated rhythmic structures and intense textures and at the same time don’t compromise the melodic beauty of their compositions. Original compositions by Marina Sobyanina get further enlivened by improvised acrobatics on the instruments and practical jokes that musicians play on each other and the audience.

Search Add 3 Esther Ford Rev. Lady Esther Ford Carroll Lady Esther Ford was a nationally renowned gospel singer, minister, tambourine player, playwright, and producer. Born December 30,1930 her musical career began at the early age of five. She was billed as the “Child Wonder Gospel Singer.” Ford sang with The Famous [a= Ward Singers], [a= The Stars Of Faith], and many other famous gospel singers. Around 1958, Ford, [a= Kitty Parham], [a= Marion Williams], [a= Frances Steadman], and [a= Henrietta Waddy] resigned from the [a= Ward Singers] to form [a= The Stars Of Faith]. Ford was also the group’s first manager and driver, and [a= Kitty Parham] helped secure the bookings, since she had kept the names of all the Ward sponsors and promoters written in a notebook. Ford was the first in many things including member of the first African American group ([a=The Stars Of Faith])to sing before the Pope at the Vatican, Carnegie Hall, and Radio City Music Hall. Pope Paul IV stated that he was so spiritually moved by Lady Esther’s rendition of “Come Ye Disconsolate”. In 1964, she also founded and recorded the first Interracial Gospel Group [a= The Exodus Singers]. The newly formed integrated female group recorded an album in the United States on the Savoy Records. Ford also recorded her first solo album, “Profiles of a Great Lady,” which was on the Nashboro Label. Esther traveled internationally and nationally for more than 80 years using her voice to spread the gospel in song. Esther Ford at the age of 85 died in August 2016, and was the last surviving member of the original [a= Ward Singers] and [a= The Stars Of Faith].

Search Add 3 Q-Sign Athens, GA Q-Sign was formed by American Chris McKay and Irishman Tom O'Gorman on the banks of the Oconee River in Athens, Georgia in March of 1995. Soon after, the duo had added Andy Ainsworth on lead guitar to the permanent lineup and had begun work on the songs that would be included on Earth Loop And Goodness. In fact, "Stay Away", "Pepper" and "Twist" were put together within the first 24 hours that O'Gorman and McKay were writing together and the majority of the album's songs were written within the first 2 weeks. Brian Pridemore and Ken Slotkowski were the original rhythm section. Eventually, Michael Rietveld took over on drums from Brian and first Dave Chalfant, then Christine Reynolds played bass. Q-Sign played regionally for a couple of years and earned the distinction of being named one of Musician Magazine's Best Unsigned Bands In America before founder Tom O'Gorman moved overseas. The band's last live performance was on July 4, 1998 in front of 55,000 people in Atlanta, Georgia during the Peachtree Road Race and Q-Sign was seen on nearly all TV news coverage.

Search Add 3 Charlie Rasch Charles Andrew Rasch Charlie Rasch (1937-2011) was a well-known Jazz/Ragtime pianist in the Detroit area of Michigan. He was featured in about a dozen albums. He was born in Detroit and began formal piano schooling at age six. Margaret Anderson was his teacher. Under her guidance he was one of the winners of an all City of Detroit classical contest, age fourteen group. Charlie's initial interest in jazz came from listening to his father's record collection. In the early sixties he joined up with Kate Ross, under the management of Warren Ross, to recreate ragtime and traditional jazz music. Charlie was a graduate from the University of Michigan with an M.A. in fine arts. Search Add 3 Ill-Boy Phil Phil F. Dj / Producer Owner of TREIBJAGD RECORDS, U6-SCHALLPLATTEN, OPERATION TIGER Ill-Boy Phil / born 1982 / munich, germany. In the early 90´s he bought his first pair of turntables and started messing around with vinyl records. Starting turntablism and beatjuggling as a HipHop-DJ. Being fascinated by the medium, he built up his own record store “Ill-Biznizz Records” in 2001. Everything went well along the time, but things were about to change. After visiting several electronic festivals, Phil fell in love with electronic dance music. He started collecting his first techno and house vinyls and began organizing underground rave parties. Today his parties, called “Treibjagd”, are still the main events in the area. Big names, as well as creative youngsters, are always exited to show up and spin the tables. After so many years Phil decided to advance to the next level and started to produce his own sounds in 2010. After releasing some tunes and remixes on different labels, he decided to built himself and other talented artists a platform: “Treibjagd Records” was born and hit the scene very successfully. Artists like Patrick Kunkel, Pele, Lützenkirchen, Joseph Disco, Dema & Paride Saraceni produce for “Treibjagd Records” and new and talented artists get a chance to become recognized on the newly founded sublabel “U6 Schallplatten”. Phil truly loves music and the art of party. He hosts a radioshow on FEVAH FM 88.3, still plays on every good party he can catch on and searches for young talents to boost their career. His records get support from big names like Sven Väth, Aka Aka, Paco Osuna, Butch, Oliver Schories, M.A.N.D.Y, Slam and many many more…

His past lays somewhere in the shades of the island of St. Lucia where he is told to have been a smuggler to make a living. His kind of Reggae is cool, dark, positive, and powerful, but most of all it is charismatic and it looks into the future. When performing live, the stage lights illuminate his wooden leg prosthesis when he leans on his handcrafted wooden stick and in his dark voice teaches his critical opinions about what's going on these days to the audience.
