Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | גלית אטלס | Born September 12, 1971. Retired Israeli rock singer. Started her career in 1998 after recording an album under [a80616]'s production. One single from it, called "אחד קטן" (Ekhad Katan = One Little), which featured poet Efrat Mishori as a guest, was oficially released, but failed to get into the charts and the album went unreleased. Nevertheless, she continued her work with Lider and sang backing vocals on his second album, which was released in 1999. In 2000, she began working on a new album without Lider's involvement called "ולהיפך" (U'lehefekh = And The Opposite). It was one of the first female Israeli rock albums to be released in the beginning of the 00's, and while it wasn't a commercial success, it gained positive reviews and was fairly played in radio stations. The album also included the song "בוא נעבור" (Bo Na'avor = Let's Pass), which was a remnant from the unreleased 1998 album. Today, she lives in the USA and internationally known in favor of her work as a psychoanalyst.

Search | Add | 2 | DJ Avionics | Israel Martinez Villegas | The real name of DJ Avionics (not to be confused with the Russian dj "Avionics Project" is Israel Martinez V. In Latin America he is currently the only one composer, writer, interpreter and producer of the trance variant "Dream-Traxx" (euro-trance + hard-trance). It is also one of the very few producers who still uses hardware synthesis to make music. Israel Martinez V. was born on May 3, 1988 in a city in the Argentine Patagonia, Rio Gallegos, province of Santa Cruz. His introduction to the field of electronic technology began around the age of 6 years, when he concentrated great interest in all kinds of electronic elements, also conducting small experiments with various components of this type. Years later around 1997, at around 9, the first waves of electronic music reached his ears. Since then he has gone through various styles, genres and electronic subgenres or DJs such as Reflex, Deró, Mauro Picotto, Fragma, Paul Van Dyk, ATB, among others. On one occasion, listening to a set or DJ Mix broadcast through the local FM radio station "Vida 93.5 MHz" and played by a well-known and great DJ from southern Argentina; Doctor Creiciu (Luis Verdun), DJ Avionics was in some way very amazed or amazed by what is currently according to his consideration, the most evolved style of electronic music, the Dream-Traxx. This was reason enough to explore the Internet intensively for several weeks, until a certain day had the opportunity to hear a wonderful production of his favorite style and genre, within a website dedicated to trance; "Balearic Bill - Destination Sunshine (Original Mix)". That electronic theme marked in DJ Avionics the total definition of his primary trance style; the Dream-Traxx. Notwithstanding the first track At the age of 13, using an old PC and a MIDI cable, he began an in-depth research on how to create electronic music with professional quality. At 15 his experience in electronic and mechanical technology had increased significantly, which allowed him to design and build his own and first mixer console 2 channels with the odd circuit equalizer. After this he continued to build prototypes of various sound systems such as baffles, speakers, sound filters, amplifiers, etc. Finally at age 16 Israel Martinez V. was able to acquire its first production tool, a basic synthesizer keyboard specially designed for DJs producers. At that point I had hit a great international DJ, with some great Dream-traxx remixes; Ferry Corsten. But considerable time elapsed until he was able to obtain all the basic equipment. At the end of 2004, still 16 years old, he recorded his first musical artistic production on CD-DA. 15 years later in 2019 he is still producing the same genre nowadays known as "oldskool" trance. |

Search | Add | 2 | The Dub Vaders | (Armando Navarro y Rodrigo Rivera) | The Dub Vaders meet the year 2000 in the middle of the early Drum & Bass scene at Santiago de Chile, Armando Navarro was a DJ and Rodrigo Rivera was one of the producers of the Valparaiso based band Manziping one of the first bands to use this kind of breaks in the country. Since then, both of them have experimented with a variety of styles, out of their original comfort zones, Armando as a DJ behind the decks as resident or guest at many clubs of the city, and Rodrigo as a Producer publishing for labels like Yuki Yaki, Modismo, and Pueblo Nuevo. The year 2009 they decide to form a project based on their common taste for Dub from an electronic point of view. |

Search | Add | 2 | The Simon Hopper Band | Simon Hopper is a singer / songwriter who has been on the folk / roots scene for some time. A few years ago he ran the now defunct Bromley Acoustic Music Club and in 2006 re - emerged with his band. The four piece consists of Simon on acoustic guitar, Leigh Trowbridge on electric guitar, Andee Price electric bass and mandolin and John Fisher on drums (bigger venues and recording). Andee is classically trained and all four perform vocals. We are asked to file the music under jazz-influenced acoustic and soul-based folk rock. I thought it a sandwich of love songs and enigmatic political diatribes, pleasantly produced, nicely played and with a fairly obvious folk influence. The lyrics are contained in the accompanying booklet.

Search | Add | 2 | Cyrillic | The electronic duo Cyrillic consists of young and talented Andrej Ivanoski & Bojan Ivanoski. Their beginnings go back to 2014, when they both decided to join forces and experience as well and share their passion towards electronic music with the rest of the world. They are known for their unique style and energetic sets. They produce their own original music and are strongly headed towards fulfilling their goal, (as the name itself says it) - to become true reformists in the process of spreading the ''literacy'', which in this case would mean to raise awareness and acceptance of this kind of music in the area. They released a remix on Sara Mace’s song-Denot da e ubav (A day to be beautiful) , that they gave a new dimension to her single and they released a remix for Cyrillic ft. Lambe & Bube - Koga Sonce Gree Placam (Remix),Donplaya - Nogu Kucki Musli Jadat (Cyrillic & H$P Remix) and Bang La Decks – Zouka (Cyrillic Remix). Also they are working on some new tracks, soon to be expected.

Search | Add | 2 | Red Angel Panic | The the seeds were sown to Red Angel Panic when in 1966 Chris Bailey, bassist from later bands such as Headband, The Angels and GangGajang was boarding at Prince Alfred College in Adelaide, where he met singer, guitarist and poet Rob Tillett. They shared a room and Rob taught Chris how to play the bass guitar. Pop band "Tattered Sole" came of this, which included Rob Tillett, lead guitar and vocals, Chris Bailey, bass and vocals, Jim Ashby, rhythm and vocals, Rick Frolich, lead vocals, and Bob Wiltshire on drums. In 1968 Red Angel Panic grew out of Tattered Sole to provide music for an avant garde dance-drama production called Rites Underground for director Doug Anders. The lineup was Rob Tillett (lead guitar, vocals), Chris Bailey (bass guitar, vocals), John Freeman (drums, vocals), Ken Skinner (keyboards) and Robert "Jakes" Jacobs (guitar). At the end of 1968 Ken Skinner and Robert "Jakes" Jacobs left the band, which played as a trio for most of 1969. At the end of 1969 Doug Anders directed another show in Adelaide, Austrlia at Union Hall, Viet Rock. RAP provided the music for this production, with Ken Skinner on keyboards. Sadly Rob Tillett had a serious motorcycle accident in early 1970 leading to a break up for the group. When Tillett recovered a new incarnation of The Panic reformed with Chris Bailey on bass, Moses Carmen on keyboards and Peter MacCormack as the band navigating their first single as Viet Rock b/w Private Investigator, reached #10 locally in 1971 as the Panic became more seriously political the focal point of the so-called "psychedelic left" in South Australia. In 1971 Chris Bailey left to form Headband (later The Angels, Gang Gajang) and Peter MacCormack left to join Country Radio. RAP reformed with Ron Anderson on bass and Peter MacCormack on Drums. After disbanding in 1972, due to another serious injury to Tillett, the band reformed in 1976 with Mick Jurd (lead guitar, ex Levi Smith Clefs, Fraternity), John Freeman (drums), Chris Bailey (bass), Rob Tillett (guitar). Freeman was replaced by Buzz Bidstrup (drums) who was himself replaced in 1976 when he joined The Angels by J.J Hackett (drums) later of Stars. Russ Johnson and Graham Davidge both of Country Radio also played guitar in the band. RAP subsequently recorded a number of so far unreleased tracks at Max Pepper's Peppersound Studios in North Adelaide, and in a later incarnation at Clive Shakespeare's studios in Sydney. Red Angel Panic as a trio in 1969. Red Angel Panic also performed as Mervyn and the Hubcaps (1970), Leper Colony (1970-71), Rocky and the Rockin Red Angels (1971), and Dangerball (1977). Later incarnations led by Rob Tillett and featuring some of the members listed include Gotham City (1980-82) and The Meerkats (1992-95). Both of these bands released albums (Gotham City: RadioActive and The Meerkats: Western Dreaming) In 2012 former Panic members flew in to play in a 40 year reunion at the Gaslight. Musicians featured were Rob Tillett (guitar, vox, Bowral), Moses Carmen (keyboards, Ireland), Graham Davidge (guitar, vox, Melbourne), Ron Anderson (bass guitar, Adelaide), Peter MacCormack (drums, Japan) and Sylvan Elhay (saxophone, Adelaide).

Search | Add | 2 | The Huntsman's Apology | The Huntsman's Apology - so named after a poem by Irish poet John Montague - was founded in the early nineties in Rotterdam by brothers Eric and Pim Boekesteyn. Originally a four piece, featuring Fred Stekelenburg on guitar and Hans Klop on bass, their setlist was fed on an eclectic choice of covers by Nick Drake, Tim Buckley, and more obscure folksongs. Soon however, these were traded for original material, especially after the arrival of Dorine Hehemann, whose brilliant violin playing and tender voice directed the band towards a more defined style: A unique blend of rock, classical sounds, folk and underground, with a melancholy twist. Following a number of acoustic radio sessions, the band started to experiment and include electric guitars in their sound. The departure of Hans Klop sounded the bell for a whole new era, with Luc Bunt on electric bass and Holger Breek on drums. They provided the songs with an edge, where tender folk could explode in mayhem of total abandon, and often within seconds. This line-up recorded the debut album 'Snare' in 1997. Its release met with excellent Dutch press and secured them a spot on the prestigious Crossing Border Festival.
