Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024

Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Mürzzuschlager Eisenbahnkapelle Austrian railroad workers brass band in Mürzzuschlag, the capital of Steiermark (Styria), established in 1902 and still active. Founded as Musikverein für Bedienstete der k. k. priv. Südbahngesellschaft in Mürzzuschlag (Music Association for Employees of the Imperial and Royal Southern Railway Company in Mürzzuschlag); the first conductor of the Eisenbahner-Musikverein was Friedrich Koppitz. Starting in the 1900s, the Eisenbahnkapelle recorded widely for Austrian and foreign labels like [l=Columbia] and [l= Zonophone]; smaller, associated bands were the Bauernkapelle (peasant band) and a Tanzkapelle (dance band). Several members of the band increased its repertoire with their own compositions, in particular Franz Traunwieser (1897–1959).

Search Add 3 Ida Andersson Band IAB IAB started out in 2013 as a one night band celebrating the women of the blues. But they loved playing together so they continued throughout 2013. Original songs started to emerge and the funky bluesy kind of "IAB Sound" started to take shape. 2016 saw the release of their first album "Funk 'n' Blues”. Recorded in Fårösund, by David Stiby. In 2018 they released "IAB TVÅ” recorded in Capstan Studios, Stockholm again with David Stiby. The album featured guest appearances from blues celebs Lisa Lystam and Ida Bang. The 25th of May gig at Joda in Visby was recorded for a live album. The album was recorded by Fredrik Larsson and mixed summer 2019 by Martin "Konie" Ehrencrona (of Viagra Boys fame) and released August 20th (streaming only). In spring/summer of 2020 writing sessions for ”Fyra” started. The album was – as with all previous releases – recorded live. All basic instrumental tracks on the 17th of October 2020. And a few retakes the 18th. The vocal tracks on a session a few weeks later. The album was recorded and mixed in Studio Massarve by Peter Otberg and mastered by Linus Larsson. Fyra was released in April 2021 as streaming only. Finally in January 2023 a vinyl LP version was released. Form the original 2013 line-up singer Ida Andersson Jupiter, drummer Johan Larsson, bass player Edvin ”Räkan” Holm and guitarist Christopher-Robin ”Garbo” Maurin are still with the band. In 2016 they were joined by singer and Rhodes player Linn Klintberg. (Text from Spotify.)

Search Add 3 3CUSPID 3CUSPID is one of the more purely white noise oriented acts on Israeli modern music scene of sample-based pocket-punk. Combining deft, mid or slow-tempo beats, jazz and funk figures, sparse scratching, and even the odd randomized OST-rap, 3CUSPID bridge the gap between dusty B-side street sounds, hip-hop based on dialogs from old movies and Japan's new school of psychotropic beat scientists.

Search Add 3 Talgevo Japanese punk band from Saitama. Active from 1982 to July 1988. Formed by high school friends, played the original and The Stalin cover songs in their early days. Early-Mid : Fast-paced punk with Typhus influences musically and lyrically. Later : New wavey punk rock. Generic sound. (Different vocalist) (Review by Brave New World) "Talgevo - Live at Explosion 8'' flexi Explosion Records - RO701 - May 1985 What can i say about this one ? Inessential but a rare find, pretty obscure record. Talgevo played upbeat Japanese punk-rock, which could be compared to a poppier version of The Stalin, for example... This is a live recording taken from the soundboard which does really well to capture the energy of the band, who might have sucked with a cleaner but mediocre studio recording. Here, the sound quality is pretty good, from the recording itself to the vinyl mastering, the work was done by passionate and dedicated professionals . Rock House Explosion was a "live house", a venue for punk, rock and metal bands, and also a record label. According to the catalog numbers, it seems they had produced many many different records during the 80's."

Search Add 3 Robert Ryda Robert E. ARTIST, SOUND ENGINEER AND MUSIC PRODUCER BUILDING REPUTATION ✪ Started in 2000 from scratch. While gathering equipment for my early studio I have earned respect from internet audience battling in emcee battles online (on nationwide-known resource "Hip-Hop.ru"). During about 2002-2006 I was known by the name of "[a2427747]", this is when I opened my own rap-battle resource "RapWar", which was actively promoting online emcee battles to raise the skills of the active users and to create a broader rap community in Russia. As the studio expanded the hardware and professionalism also came with expirience. At that point I could independently create tracks and production for any purpose and almost of any difficulty level. My musical arsenal now included a large number of recordings done for various artists in different genres and also the production and co-production of full albums. COLLABORATIONS ✪ The team that was always around has never had a name and people used to call us something like "Rydarecordz Crew". In 2007 the team came up with the "Illuminati" name, but it was left behind; It stayed after the London boys - I1 and Yuras, as short - "Ill U" for "Ill Union". In 2008 we have once again came up with a new name for our collaboration - "MCPD" (Moscow City Playaz Department). The MCPD people were: Ryda, Ins, JahMal, D'Money, I1, Legion, Frante, Atom, Yuras and Kravz. Soon we realized we can't act as a whole team living in different countries.. with no actual leader. It was more convinient for us to act as solo artists networking with other people of the MCPD outside of the MCPD itself. RELEASES ✪ During this time myself and Atom came up with the first debute video - "RapArena", which was made under the flag of "Urban Juice" project, that never really worked. The debute mixtape - Ryda & Kravz present "Mutnie Parni Mixtape" (Vol.1) was released right after on the 01 Sept 2007 and was another new step. "Lyfestylez" mixtape followed it and came out the next year and was a step above the previous release. My new obsession with dancehall/reggae music reflected in making a lot of material for "RYDD'M" mixtape. It was not yet released to the public. There also have been many side projects I worked on. You can find the entire discography by clicking here, here and here. EXPANSION ✪ In the beginning of 2009 myself, Atom, Vahtang and DjErik started a school in the center of Moscow. We have created a learning and training ground for the beginner musicians that was called "[l283906]". It involved developing people's skills in emceeing, music production, djing and beatboxing. During this period I have worked close with Le Truk, Steppa Style, Lady N and many more local and foreign hiphop and reggae artists. I have been able to make an investment into upgrading the studio even further and reached the understanding of quality signal chain. Even though this has brought attention of numerous media people right over to us this hasn't kept us going long enough for personal reasons and in 2010 we had to move on, this is when I moved out with all my gear. CURRENT TIMES ✪ Its been ten years since I started and by now I have made countless records for myself and others as a sound engineer and as an artist. There have been several music artists that emerged because of my effort, as a part of my influence. My personal "[l283827]" studio is currently up and running and I try to look after it very carefully and upgrade when necessary. ARTISTS I WORKED WITH ✪ Robert Ryda (myself) aka Ghostrida, Кравц, Децл aka LeTruk, Смоки Мо, D.Masta, 5 Плюх, Beatmaker Beat, Warn-A-Bro Productions, Legion, МС Молодой aka Tony P, Ligalize, Berezin, P-13, Mezza Morta, MC Check, DJ NikOne, I1 aka RAPid, InSrecords, Frante, JahMal, Steppa Style, Стакан aka Sil-A, Inferno Music, Lady N, El Toro, Black Jacket, True Jamaican Crew, Imal, DJ RT, Street Atlas Entertainment, DJ NZ, Nappy Paco aka MCP, MC Atom, Vahtang, DJ Erik, Kappa, DJ Samoa, Черно-Белые, Pete Millz aka Snake Eyez, DPR Records, Chester, Damon Dae, D'Money, Avatar Young Blaze, N'Pans, MC Navigator, No Limit aka Kreep, Струч aka Lil Kong, Beatworx Records, Flameboi, SubBox Records, Lansky, Mic EP, Rhymond Zerrgiuz, Mad-A, Method Mr. Al aka Дядя Эл, MadMax aka DJ Max Million, Dime, [l38681], X-Star, Tricky, Garry Miller Records, Один Номер, Герберт Моралес, Animal Jazz, Karabis, DJ Sandrique, WOW-Wild Band, Александр Legend, Влад Тюрин, Irene Nelson, Ara Martirosyan, Сергей Маркин, Kathy Soul, Наталья Поволоцкая, Александр Панайотов, Eva Goldberg, Таир Мамедов, ST, Bess, Кнара, Теона Дольникова, Piramida Music, IN3GA, MCPD, Danny Rite, Skarra Mucci, Otomix, Estera, Гарри Топор, Double G, Gruff, BabySmokez, Slow Flow, Ivory Soulja, One Shot Game, Siel, Bongo Dilla and more.. ✪ I am always open for networking with interesting new people and professionals!

Search Add 3 Schwarz Of Galiorka Formed weeks after the Gags' breakup, Glezos and Paolo M. start SCHWARZ OF GALIORKA. Somehow influenced by post-psychedelic weirdness (Alice Cooper, Sparks, Arthur Brown) and proto-punk bands (Doctors Of Madness, Punishment Of Luxury), the group is actually a studio project, with Glezos overdubbing all instruments bar the drums, courtesy of Paolo M.: a forced choice, since the recruitment of other members proved beyond any hope. The duo with the strange monicker (a weird, selfmade german-russian combination, which tentatively means 'The People In Black In The Balcony') go through a heavy schedule of demos recorded at Palmito Studios, a 8-track semi-professional studio in S. Giuliano Milanese (Milan). SOG's intention was to release a self-produced mini-album titled 'Horror! Horror! Schwarz Helluva!', which in the duo's intentions would include 6 tracks on a one-sided, 12" lp. In the meantime, Vidocq and Top Hat joined respectively as artwork designer and manager. SOG kept writing and recording, but after a long and heated internal debate the mini-album is cancelled, as the duo embarked in a series of acoustic demos recorded at Radio Popolare in Milan. In October 1983 Kindergarten Records in Florence offers a deal, but after beginning pre-production at the label’s recording facilities the duo declines. In January 1984 SOG released the rare, promo-only 12" Goatsucker/Voilà Hack'n'Slash on their Gates Of Heaven label (200 copies are pressed). After disappointing rehearsals with a number of guitar and keyboard players, SOG break up in spring 1984. In 2010 Hate Records releases ‘Horror! Horror! Schwarz Helluva!’ (vinyl only, 50 copies in blood red pressing), the projected-then-withdrawn 1983 album. 'Tapes Of Mystery And Imagination', a CD released in 1996 by El Passerotto, includes all the studio recordings of the most adventutous Italian post-punk group.

Search Add 3 Forte Ruin Forte Ruin is a new melodic metal band combining fresh sound atmosphere with dramatic and catchy melodies, while blending them together with the punch of hard rock and the brutality of a death metal. Forte Ruin was originally founded in 2011 under a different name. After couple years of songwriting and countless rehearsals, the band finally formed its current line-up in the spring of 2014. Handful of shows were played with the new line-up in the fall of 2014. During the long and cold winter, there was plenty of time to record the first release "Forte Ruin EP." The record saw daylight in the spring of 2015 and it has gained interest and positive feedback. Members: Arttu Ruusunen - lead vocals Saku Aaltonen - guitars & backing vocals Samu Aaltonen - guitars & backing vocals Arto Viitanen - bass & backing vocals Jere Aaltonen - drums Veli-Matti Kyllönen - keyboards

Search Add 3 Mortality Tables “In an effort to circumvent our unalterable mortality, we create. We make SOUNDS, ART, WORDS. These things are our INSURANCE against death.” – Mortality Tables, ‘On Mortality, Immortality & Charles Ives’ (2022) E Peritia Ratio: reason from experience. Nothing happens without context. Every event has a catalyst. There is no such thing as a blank page. So it goes that each Mortality Tables Product must begin with an outline of an initial creative concept – a thought; a notion; a moment of serious whimsy; a considered reflection on life, memory, love, loss, trauma, death. We document those ideas, then invite collaborators to respond freely to them. They may ignore us. They may say no. They may say yes. Whoever we invite to participate shall be unencumbered by restriction, constraint, expectation, convention, limit or judgement. There are never any right or wrong answers, because there are no questions. There is nothing more than the idea and the response. Mortality Tables Est. Search Add 3 Han Epskamp Han Epskamp Life-work is a musical project founded by Dutch songwriter Han Epskamp, the name coming from songwriting being his life's work and also stating that the topics of the songs deal with life in general. When producer Tim Ellis asked him late 2009 if he could use some help on the production of his songs it resulted in the first recording, the ballad 'Wonder where you are' with soprano Karen Orchin. Han liked her voice so much that she recorded a second song: 'My heart', which was remixed by Pete Hammond and got to number 4 in the Euro-HiNRG Top 50 club chart in October 2010. Afterwards 'Wonder where you are' was also remixed by Pete Hammond in a dance version and got to number 2 in the Euro-HiNRG Top 50 club chart in February 2011. 'You won't see my tears' then was especially written for Karen's voice, reaching Music Week's Commercial Pop Club Chart at 25 in September 2011. The fourth single 'Lost in Time' followed and now the fifth production is ready: 'Woman of Secrets'. The Club Junkies Club Mix already entered the 21st position in the Euro-HiNRG Top 50 club chart even before it's release. Last year the reggae track 'Dolce Far Niente'was released. Currently Life-work is preparing an album.
