Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025

Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

A more perfect harmony there has never been; a more beautiful chaos there will never be. Search Add 3 Some Guy Named Robb Robb McCormick Some Guy Named Robb AKA singer songwriter Robb McCormick is a native to Arkansas and Colorado. He has headlined festivals and opened up for acts as diverse as John Fogarty (Creedence Clearwater Revival) to Sister Hazel and the Bellamy Brothers. As well as sharing the bill with Steve Poltz (Jewel) & Glenn Phillips (Toad the Wet Sprocket) among others. Growing up he was inspired by lyrically and musically rich songwriters like Paul Simon, John Denver, and Neil Diamond. In his teenage years he found alternative rock music through bands like The Cure, Depeche Mode, and The Replacements. His music is an amalgamation of all these influences, as well as Reggae, Punk, Soul, and Blues. His love for music is matched only by his high regard for lyricism. He has spent his life writing and performing music, full time professionally since he was a teenager. He’s performed thousands of shows, to hundreds of thousands of people, nationally and internationally. In his own words: “The best shows are when I get to connect with the audience. When they are with me and I’m with them and we get to share a special moment together. Most musicians will tell you we perform music to make connections. That’s me. The best room is one who has come to have fun, to surrender to the evening and see where it may take us. From tears to laughter. From clapping hands to singing along with me. I live for those musical moments.” Robb has recently been on tour across the ocean in the United Kingdom, in England and France, as well as touring from coast to coast in America. Taking a moment to stop in Memphis and recording his album, "The Folkster" at the world famous Sun Studios with Grammy winning producer Matt Ross-Spang.(Jason Isbell/Brandi Carlisle/Sean Rowe/Chris Isaak/Margo Price) Robb has toured both nationally and internationally to critical acclaim, with his very own bluesy, indie folk-rock sound music and unique blend of eclectic and often surprising covers. He has written well over a thousand songs, played over 7000 shows, released and sold 9 original albums and played to hundreds of thousands of people. He is currently touring and promoting his newest release... “The Adventures of IndieBoy”, whose crowd-funding campaign garnering an unprecedented $17,000 in pre-orders in only 28 days! IndieBoy recently celebrated half a million spins on Spotify alone in 2023! You can find his music all over the Internet on YouTube Music, Spotify, Amazon and Apple Music and available to purchase here on this website, www.sgnrobb.com And on Patreon.com where he releases exclusive content (podcasts, videos, new songs, demos) only for his Patreon partners. Robb is the winner of the Beaux Arts Academy, Performer of the Year award and the 40 under 40 in Arkansas, and his song, "Time is Not Your Friend" won him the esteemed Top 5 Finalist award in the international World Songwriting Awards contest.

With new members, a whole new collection of songs, and exciting new adaptations of their own classics, this is the sound of a band finally unleashing its TRUE sound upon the unsuspecting world. Search Add 3 President Blair John Myers This alias of Jon 7's is kind of an in-joke. In one area of Eugene, Oregon, the streets are named after presidents, but on the streets where they would have had to duplicate a president's name, they've named the street something else. One of those streets is Blair Blvd., which stretches from the hearing center to the trainyards, and courses directly through tweekertown, also known as Whiteaker. On this street, Eugene's finest toothless hookers roam the streets at night, and young people who have no idea what they got themselves into jitter, jaw and jabber til sunrise.

They brought together their background in rock music, blues and folk to create a distinctive blend. Whilst Ian left in 1972, due to ill health, Billy and Jack carried on as a two piece carving out a reputation as singer/songwriters across Britain. In 1973 they signed a management deal with Johnnie Morris, who secured a recording contract with Philips records. By 1974 they released a single, a Rupert Holmes song called ‘Terminal’. However, Billy and Jack felt the production didn't represent their sound. After recruiting two additional members, Allan Stevenson on drums, and Peter McBrearty on guitar, they felt more satisfied with the new sound. The new line prompted other changes as they moved away from folk clubs and concert halls into the rock-pub and club circuit. Allan was replaced by John Houston in 1975 on drums, and the band carried on writing, recording and playing. A year later, Jack decided to leave, having become disillusioned with the music business, and was replaced by Mick Tausney. Greenmantle continued for a further six months before breaking up. Reformed early 2009, releasing a couple of albums on the Hub Records label.

Search Add 3 Manuel Savu Manuel Savu Romanian musician, was born on November 29th. The year 1986 finds Manu as the guitarist of a famous Romanian rock band, playing on the most important stage of the nation, in front of a delirious crowd. Another defining moment is the year 1988, when he buys his first. Fender Stratocaster guitar - this is the beginning of Manu's love for Fender guitars. He spent the following years touring Romania with the biggest rock bands of the moment, and even with a blues band of which he has fond memories. During those years he discovered and honed his compositional abilities, the result consisting in over 10 albums for which he wrote the music. These albums appeared on the market mostly under the name of the bands of which he was part at the time, but there were also a few that he composed for well-known solo artists from Romania.

Search Add 3 Urge Surfer 'Urge Surfing' is a mental technique to observe and experience an urge without engaging in it. It involves a similar mindset as mindfulness meditation. You observe your thoughts and feelings when your mind wanders. The point is to notice thoughts without judgement or frustration. This makes the thoughts less powerful and reduces your stress.‌ It was the perfect name for this project. We used music making to keep us sane, centered and focused during a very turbulent couple years. This project came to fruition in isolation across the internet between former co-workers quickly turned close friends. Together, we are Urge Surfer.

Search Add 3 Symphonisches Blüthner-Orchester Berlin The Blüthner Orchestra was a German symphony orchestra active between 1907 and 1925 and based at the eponymous "Blüthner Hall" at Klindworth-Scharwenka Conservatory on Genthiner Straße in Berlin. It was absorbed by Berliner Symphonie-Orchester. The ensemble began under the patronage and sponsorship of Julius Ferdinand Blüthner (1824—1910), founder of the prolific piano manufacturer Blüthner Pianofortefabrik in Leipzig. In 1905, eighty-one-year-old Blüthner retired after running the company for over 50 years and passed the business over to his sons. Blüthner-Orchester became his last project; Julius died three years after its inauguration. In 1913, Blüthner-Orchester produced one of the first partial recordings of [a=Richard Wagner]'s "Ring des Nibelungen" opera cycle on [l=Anker Record] label, including ¾ of Die Walküre's first act, featuring tenor [a=Jacques Decker] and soprano [a=Erna Denera] in leading roles. In 1917, the Orchestra toured Hungary under the baton of an aspiring 18-year-old conductor, Jenő Blau (later known as [a=Eugene Ormandy], one of the world's most renowned maestros). Over the years, several notable musicians and conductors began their careers in the Orchestra, including its first concertmaster, [a=Louis Persinger], who directed the ensemble at twenty-one, and [a=Hermann Scherchen] playing viola with Blüthner at only sixteen. On 15 January 1919, the Blüthner Orchestra performed at the "proletarian" memorial for [a=Karl Liebknecht] and Rosa Luxemburg, organized by SPD (Sozialdemokratische Partei Deutschlands), falling under heavy criticism in the press; the orchestra's principal conductor, [a=Paul Scheinpflug], had to issue a public apology. One of the last notable performances under the "Blüthner-Orchester" name was in October 1924 at [l591602], with a special guest [a=Pietro Mascagni] conducting. In May 1925, the ensemble was dissolved and reorganized as the Berlin Symphony Orchestra under [a=Oskar Fried]'s direction. Blüthner-Orchester Principal Conductors 1907–1909: [a=Louis Persinger] 1909–1910: [a=Josef Stránský] 1910–1913: [a=Edmund von Strauss] 1913–1915: [a=Siegmund Von Hausegger] 1915–1920: [a=Paul Scheinpflug] 1920–1921: [a=Selmar Meyrowitz]

Search Add 3 Les Masochats Electronic project by French DJ, producer, and POF Music owner Fred Giteau and Serbian producer Dr. Vaki, active in 1998-99. Assisted by a guitarist and a percussionist, Les Masochats produced a full album in 1998, that was eventually released in 2023. The name "Les Masochats" is a French-Serbian word-play. Fred Giteau’s first wife and mother of his daughter Yelena was nicknamed "Maca" or "Maso" ("cat" in Serbian). Fred added the French equivalent "Chats" to form "Les Masochats" (cat-cat), a direct reference to the romantic musical film "Les Aristochats" (The Aristocats). The duo produced music with a simple keyboard and Cubase at Vaki’s room studio. Percussion and guitar were played and recorded live, and later technically processed. The style of Les Masochats is a mixture of techno, groovy and rhythmic claps that break and restart, bongos, and guitars reminiscent of S.U.N. Project. Some tracks incorporate riffs of traditional Serbian music.
