Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025

Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Lathouse The group "Lathouse" debuted on the Latvian music scene in the early 2000s. The debut and only album "Believe in Riga style" was released in February 2002 by the publishing house "Gailītis-G" in collaboration with the company "Sun Records". The album combined both author’s compositions, which at the time of the release of the album were already very active on club dance floors, and remixes of dance hits by the then popular groups A-Europa and Fors. The most famous song was "Riga style", which gave the album its name, "Pump Up Da Base", as well as a remix of the song "Белые небеса" from the repertoire of Arturs Dubok's project "A-Europa". The attention to the work of Duboks and his group from the Lathouse project is not accidental: the founder of the team was the Latvian electronic producer Janis Lamsters, who in 1999 also stood at the origins of the A-Europa group, together with the already mentioned Arturs Duboks, and together with he recorded two albums on behalf of A-Europa, but after leaving the band for his own project. The remaining members of the Lathouse project were hiding behind the pseudonyms DJ Ros, DJ Well and DJ Valer. The single "Riga style", recorded in 2000, managed to light up in Latvian dance charts and subsequently gained many new interpretations performed by a number of Baltic DJs. The album "Believe in Riga style" was nominated for the main national award in the field of sound recording in the category "Best Dance Music Album". Unfortunately, the debut record was the first and only and the project "Lathouse" soon ceased to exist. Search Add 3 George Kamel Nashville-based, Boston-bred artist George Kamel is no stranger to the world of songwriting. He released two albums in the past five years, one as part of Boston-based folk outfit “Meadowlarks” and another under the pseudonym, Lapsley. But a three-year stint in the city of Mobile, Alabama would force Kamel to reevaluate his identity as a songwriter. "You grow up real fast when you move 1,500 miles away from home to a place you're not familiar with and people you don't know...you're out of your element and things kinda hit you differently..." said Kamel. After countless open-mics and coffee shop shows, Kamel met an emerging producer named Matt Baker and decided to bring his songs to life in the studio with his latest release, The Great Coward. Kamel believes that The Great Coward represents a significant season of personal growth. "I think the songs come from this place of wanting to escape the cynicism that I've been in for so many years now" he said. "It's not necessarily that I've figured it all out-or that I have all the answers-but I've found the path that I want to go and it's time for me to grow up and pursue that." Drawing influences from Bon Iver, Avett Brothers and David Bazan, Kamel effectively unites the ethereal and earthly using an impressive array of folk instrumentation, while guiding the listener through haunting seasons of beauty and pain.

Search Add 3 The Atlantic Symphony Orchestra Canada Atlantic Symphony Orchestra was a professional Canadian symphony orchestra in Atlantic Canada that was active during the second half the 20th century. It has the distinction of being the only full-time regional professional orchestra in Canadian history. The orchestra was formed shortly after the demise of both the Halifax Symphony Orchestra and New Brunswick Symphony Orchestra. Seeing a need for a full-time professional symphony in the Atlantic region, the orchestra was established by joint committees in Halifax, Sydney, Saint John, Moncton, and Fredericton on 12 June 1968. Conductor Klaro Mizerit led the orchestra from 1968–1977 and conductor Victor Yampolsky led the orchestra from 1977 until the orchestra's demise due to financial problems in 1983. The orchestra made several commercial recordings in the 1970s and was featured on numerous broadcasts on CBC Radio Symphony Nova Scotia rose from it's ashes.

Search Add 3 Plexigo Lovis Einsmann Label: Crystallin Music / Unterholz / PsyArmy Located: Wiesbaden, Hessen - Germany Style: Forest / Psytrance / Twilight / Night Psy / Goa Trance / Psygressive / Minimal Dark Progressive Info & Biography: ENGLISH: Plexigo is the name of the psychedelic music project by Lovis Einsmann from Wiesbaden, Germany. Since 2009 Plexigo is leashed by the driving basslines and enlightning melodies of Goa Trance and Psytrance. After discovering the synapse twisting sound frequencies of a DJ-Set mixed by the old Goa stager “Stefan Ludley”, well known in the Rhein-Main area, he was instantly addicted to this kind of music. Stefan helped him to get a connection to the recording company “Crystallin Music” and Plexigo started to produce tracks which are characterised by his very own style. In the beginning he described his music as “Psygressive Trance”, later the focus was set more to “Forest Trance”, “Twilight” and “Night Psy”. Since 2013 Plexigo is the main organizer and visionary mastermind of the Wiesbaden based “UNTERHOLZ” event project, that got quite popular in the Rhein-Main area and all around Germany during the last years. The indoor party series “TREIBHOLZ” invites international artists and sets the focus on the build up of a vibrant and resonating “Forest” scene in his actual hometown Wiesbaden. Right now Plexigo is more into DJing than producing own music. His style is a twisted mix of Twilight, Liquid Night Psy and mystical, driving Forest Trance. In 2017/2018 Plexigo played on the “Transylvaliens Festival” in Romania, two DJ-Sets in Switzerland and on multiple events and locations in the Rhein-Main area, such as the “Tanzhaus West” or “MTW Club” in Frankfurt am Main, the Bellini Club Mainz or the “FlaFla” in Herford. Source: Plexigo @ Facebook

Search Add 3 Rymanowski Brothers Polka Orchestra The Rymanowski Brothers Orchestra is renowned in the capital district of New York State. Their legacy started in late 1947 in Cohoes, NY by brothers John & Alex and has sustained continuance to the present day. This distinction has given them the title of the capital district’s most favorite, longest running, Polish-American polka band. In addition, undoubtedly, one of the longest running bands in the nation. The band expanded to an eight and nine piece orchestra in 1949. During the late 1940’s and through the 1950’s they recorded on the Lamb, Decca and Stella record labels. In the late 1960’s and early 1970’s, John’s sons, Dennis & Jerry joined the band at which time was scaled down to a five and six piece group. In 1974 the band recorded an LP entitled, “We Believe In Polkas” their last recording was in 1981. Their newest recording, “It's About Time” was released in 2010 and was an immediate hit. With the CD hard to keep in stock, the demand is just overwhelming. Currently it is being aired on all Polish-American programs nationwide as well on all the internet stations. The group, not only plays the best in polka music, but have long been known to exhibit the versatility to play a wide variety of American pop and American standards to please just about everyone.

Search Add 3 Inner Vitriol INNER VITRIOL is a progressive-dark metal band based in Bologna (Italy). The band - under the former monicker “Vitriol” - released two albums with the American label Melodic Revolution Records. Their full lenght “Into The Silence I Sink" was highly acclaimed by the international press at its release and the American radio show “Prog Metal Show” put it at the 8th place in the "Top 50 progressive metal albums of the year". The band toured across Italy, UK, Poland, Austria and Russia, also performing as opener for Dream Theater, Sons of Apollo, Pain of Salvation, Evergrey, Soen, Kingcrow and Votum. The monicker stems from the acronym of one of the most famous mottos of Renaissance alchemy “V.i.t.r.i.o.l. - Visita Interiora Terrae Rectificando Invenies Occultum Lapidem” (Enter the bowels of the Earth and, through your purification, you will find the hidden stone). It is a metaphor representing the path of man inside his own Ego in order to finally find the philosophical Truth. The duality of the locution “inner vitriol”, referring both to a corrosive chemical compound and to the renaissance motto, well describes the essence of the band, constantly pursuing balance between aggressiveness and introspection. INNER VITRIOL is about to release an official live DVD shot in Moscow, two single releases with videoclips and a new full-length. Current line up: Gabriele Gozzi - Vocals Michele Di Lauro - Guitars Francesco Lombardo - Bass Michele Panepinto - Drums Former members: Gianluca Pappalardo - Vocals (2007 - 2016) Alessandro Sanfilippo - Guitars (2007 - 2013) Pierangelo Carvello - Keyboards (2007 - 2013) Tommaso Semrov - Guitars (2010 - 2013) Fausto De Bellis - Guitars (2013 - 2016)

In 2011 they release "Casa Viva Sessions", a live recording issued only as a cdr. In September 2014 their first album titled "1692" is released, the record still features João on drums as it was mostly recorded before him leaving, the title of record is a reference to the earthquake that occurred and flooded Port Royal that year.

Search Add 3 Kevin Reginald Cooke Kevin Reginald Cooke From the UK, though currently residing in Trieste, Italy, at the end of a Masters course of classical double bass playing, Kevin Reginald Cooke is very actively playing both double-bass and electric bass in orchestral context, as well as for big bands and for various singer/songwriters such as Bill Lee, and Saša Kulenovic. Past collaborations include Daniela Bove, Dan O’Shea, Kim Lowings, Terry Emm, Julia Harris, and Miccoli. Kevin is a Maruszczyk Instruments artist (playing a custom Sputnik 6a-33), & Jim Dunlop Artist (Dunlop Superbright strings and Dunlop Flatwound Strings). From an early age, Kevin Reginald Cooke was always drawn to the low end of the audio spectrum; at eight years old, he began studying the tuba, soon moved to the bass guitar, and eventually the double bass. Upon finishing school in Milton Keynes, he was already playing in a signed band, Terrapin Trainstation, that drew influences from bands such as The Counting Crows and Lifehouse. During this time he’d already begun solo bass playing and even singing and songwriting at the same time, inspired very much by artists such as Seth Horan and the bass/vocal duo of Steve Lawson and Lobelia. When moving on to studying double bass, Kevin began taking private lessons with Thomas Martin (ex-principle bassist of the London Symphony Orchestra), and then went on to study with Stefano Sciascia (world renowned soloist) at the Conservatory of Giuseppe Tartini in Trieste, Italy. He is regularly playing as a freelance classical double bass player with various orchestras in the zone. In 2018, Kevin recorded on the “Let This Fire Burn” EP from Bill Lee, an EP that resulted from the collaboration of 17 different musicians across five tracks, and afterwards became a fixed member of the stabilised band that formed afterwards.
