Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025

Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 5 The Beagle Ranch Beagle Ranch Initially formed as a solo musical vehicle for frontman/songwriter Stephen Bandola, this Calgary, Alberta based band has evolved over the years to where it is now a fully functioning quartet. But let's take you back in time while introducing you to the members of the group. Bandola is formerly the bass player and co-frontman of early '90s college-radio favourites Citrus Park. With the Beagle Ranch, he set out to play and write melodic guitar-based music with a strong songwriting focus and an appreciation for the perfectly crafted 3-minute pop tune. Bandola's first quest for pop perfection manifested itself in the 2001 release "Starcrossed". Recorded at former Citrus Park bandmate Jeff Burns' recording studio, "Starcrossed" saw the Beagle melodic direction firmly in place. Shortly after the release of "Starcrossed", the Beagle ranks increased by one. Lead guitar/harmony vocalist Jeff Kushner formally joined Bandola. Also a Calgary music scene veteran, Kushner had most recently fronted his own group, "The Beauty Myth". The duo released the 6 track recording "Mr. Ordinary World" in 2005, and played around Calgary as an acoustic duo. 2006 saw the band add bassist Conan Daly to the lineup. A longtime friend of both Jeff and Steve, and former bassist with Celtic quintet "Scatter the Mud", Daly joined his fellow pop connoisseurs in their quest for pop perfection. While gigging frequently throughout 2007 & 2008, the Beagles still had time (with the aid of their drummer pal Josip Vulic) to record the 4 song "Christmas Time" E.P. The recording (again recorded at Burns studio) centered around Bandola's seasonal ode "It's Christmas Time". More recording and playing in 2009, (with help from their pal Miles Krowicki on drums) followed by an extended break in 2010 brings us almost up to speed. 2011 was a bountiful year for the band. They released their full length CD, "A Moment Away" to great reviews (ranked #21 by the Absolute Powerpop website (Florida) "Powerpop CDs of the year" - ahead of new releases by Sloan and Fountains of Wayne). They also welcomed drummer Dave Horrocks to the Beagle ranks. In addition to his extensive behind the board experience at Calgary's Sundae Sound, Dave is an accomplished percussionist, most notably keeping time alongside Daly in Scatter the Mud. 2020 sees the band on the verge of releasing a new recording. Stephen Bandola - vocals, acoustic guitar [a1501827] - electric guitar, vocals [a6278521] - bass, vocals [a512036] - drums

During college, Jahan worked at Duke University Radio with 9th Wonder who introduced him to Big Pooh and Phonte. During these years – the early stages of Little Brother – Jahan even had to face-off in a battle with Phonte at the famed Cat’s Cradle. After returning to CT, Jahan recorded and released the Bedtime Street Album (2012) and Sleepwalking (2013) – produced by Poppa Pill [known for producing on Rakim's album, The Seventh Seal (2009)]. Jahan Nostra has been interviewed by Doctor Dre (Yo! MTV Raps), A-King (Combat Jack Show) and featured in several media outlets, including: Hot 97, Hip Hop DX, Underground Hip Hop Blog, Huff Post, The Ryan Show and Philly FAME TV. Search Add 5 Jason Hannan Jason Hannan is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer based in Frederick, Maryland. His songs have been featured on bluegrass and independent country stations nationwide. His musical partnership with his wife, Michelle Hannan, has resulted in the release of several singles and albums, including their critically acclaimed 2021 concept album Cheater’s Waltz. Born in Jackson, Mississippi and raised in the small town of Grenada, on the edge of the Mississippi delta, Jason grew up to the sounds of traditional country music and the delta blues. As the son of country singer/songwriter Hal Windham - who was influential in the Gulf Coast music scene in the 1970’s - Jason’s love for roots music runs deep. Jason’s start as a musician came playing drums in junior high and high school. After a stint in the navy, he cut his teeth playing guitar and bass on the bluegrass circuit, performing with several well known bands in the Washington, DC area including stints with the Crop Dusters, the Milldudes, ClearSpring, the Zekiah Swamp Cats, and fill in dates with Satyr Hill, Nate Clendenen, Darren Beachley & Potomac, and many more. In 2015 Jason and Michelle founded the country band One Blue Night, eventually rebranded as Michelle Hannan & One Blue Night. Their musical partnership has resulted in several Washington Area Music Award nominations and critical acclaim. As a part of Michelle Hannan & One Blue Night, Jason shares lead vocal duties with Michelle and provides warm harmony vocals to Michelle’s leads. He plays electric and acoustic guitar on stage, as well as bass, mandolin, piano, and drums on the band’s various studio projects. Jason serves as the band’s primary songwriter, penning most of their original material. In 2024 Jason released bluegrass album entitled "Heading South" featuring his songwriting and choice covers. Jason is the founder and owner of Waiting for Lester Records, a new record label focusing on country, bluegrass, and Americana music. He proudly uses and endorses MountainSong acoustic guitars. Jason is married to his long time musical partner, singer/songwriter Michelle Hannan, and has two children, Katie and Danny.
