Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025

Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Oriana Maria Anamaria Valle Sometime after the end of her marriage and musical partnership with [a3756], Anamaria Valle moved back to Brazil. In the beginning of 1970's, her musical taste had change, and she was no longer interested in the kind of music she did with Valle, [a1237687], and [a1194551]. For instance, a report of the newspaper Correio da Manhã (Rio de Janeiro) from April 14, 1970, says that she would return in September that year to the United States, in order to sing for [a168907] during a tour across American universities. During 1972 and 1973, still using Anamaria Valle as her artistic name, she sung for Rock Ebó, a band in the same vein of [a393406] that included [a533964] (later a member of [a972581], which also backed artists such as [a83763], [a83724], [a130782], [a2059261], [a83770], [a336605], and [a400277]) on guitars, [a6431823] on bass, [a755731] on percussion and [a2852674] (the original drummer for [a4257828], the band of Raul Seixas in the early days of his carrer) on drums. It was her first psychedelic rock band. After Rock Ebó ended in 1973, she decided to relaunch her musical career as “Oriana Maria”. Between September, 1973, and June, 1974, she travelled to Argentina, in order to record songs and to offer them to Record Companies. In those record sections, she was helped by [a2446178] and the musicians of [a2976163]. She even recorded a Portuguese version of [a1333226]’s classic “Jugo de Tomate”. She pressed a very small quantity of 7” EPs with three songs of those sections, titled Arembip I (allusive to the hippie community of Arembepe, located in Bahia, Brazil, where she lived). In October, 1974, a short story about her career moment was published on the Brazilian magazine “O Cruzeiro”. Although every effort was made to sign a contract with a Record Company, she did not make it. Still in 1978, it was possible to find reports on newspapers about her concerts under the alias of Oriana Maria.

Search Add 3 Frank X Feller Francis X. Fellmer Broadcast Pioneers member Frank X. Feller slipped quietly into the midst of the Roaring Twenties on Tuesday, March 30, 1926, as another infant, Radio Broadcasting, was announcing its presence in tones loud and clear. Frank held forth in Jersey City, NJ; Radio was all the rage in all 48 states. The two became bosom buddies from the get-go. Both were hit with the reality of, and would grow up in, the Great Depression of the '30s. Radio informed and entertained a struggling nation; Frank, when not tuned into the Red Network or the Blue Network, was learning his ABCs and more from the nuns at St. Paul's grammar school. 1939 brought World War II to Europe, and Radio brought it to every home in America. 1939 took Frank to St. Peter's Prep in Jersey City and four years of Jesuit training. 1943 saw Frank, age 17, enlist in the U.S. Army. In 1946, after serving as a medic in the ETO, Corporal Frank became a college boy at Syracuse University. He graduated with an AB degree in 1949, majoring in English with a broadcasting minor. Frank's wartime dream to be an Air Corps pilot wasn't to be. In 1949, it was back to his old buddy Broadcasting and his true ambition to be a radio announcer. And so it started at WVPO in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. The 1950s found Frank announcing in North Carolina, North Jersey, and Trenton. In February 1963, Frank becomes a Wibbage Good Guy at WIBG in Philadelphia. To the millions of teenagers and their parents growing up in the Delaware Valley during the sixties, he was "Frank X. Feller" who brought warmth and wit to Radio 99 every weeknight from 10 pm until 2 am. The 1970s saw Frank as the first employee of a new station, WYSP, as program director, later to be general manager. In the early 1980s that station was sold and Frank returned to his first love, the microphone, as a talk show host on WWDB. During that time, Frank was active in our organization, the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia, becoming our 19th president in 1981-82. His active broadcasting career ended in forced retirement in 1990. His announcing co-love, writing, had continued all through the years and included six top-selling children's albums, comedy records, and magazine pieces. 2006 was spent by Frank writing his 400-page book, A Letter from Dad, his life story written for his children and grandchildren, relatives and friends. He and his wife published it privately. They all seem to like it a lot. The former New York Giants fan lives in Wayne, Pennsylvania, with his editor and wife, Valerie. Both are insane Eagles and Phillies fans. With the TV on mute, the old announcer has the Radio on full steam.

Search Add 3 AEON of FIRE AEON of FIRE – the eternity of the fire! Trance enjoyed the call of an energetically loaded music genre, which united crowds in times of the techno revolution in the 90's, in order to celebrate innumerably long parties and big raves. Not least the word “Trance “ was selected for this kind of music. Ravers supported by the spherical pads as well as simple but beautiful melodies and harmony structures, were driven to ecstasy. In the early 21 century Trance music initially lost its meaning over night. It particularly disappeared from the local record stores and incrementally also from the clubs. However, the myths of Trance existed and survived in the underground and in such a way, among other things, subgenres such as Tech Trance and Deep Trance have been established. Today, in certain circles, these styles are in demand again. In this sense we want to retain the positive characteristics of Trance and let these appear in a new form. Thus AEON of Fire is one of the oldest and most established projects of Pain-Productions. It was founded in 2004.

Search Add 3 Alessandro Magini Alessandro Magini Alessandro Magini was born in 1955 in Vernio (in theTuscan Apennines, near Florence). He studied piano and organ in Florence under the guidance of Robert Pichini and attended the masterclasses of Paul von Schilhawsky (Director Emeritus of the Salzburg Mozarteum) on piano performance practice in the lieder repertoire. Alessandro Magini graduated with honors in Musical Dramaturgy from the University of Bologna under the direction of Lorenzo Bianconi and Thomas Walker and in composition from the Conservatory of Bologna with Alessandro Solbiati. Subsequently he graduated with honors the Advanced Course in Composition of the International Music Academy of Novara. He also attended master classes and seminars with F. Donatoni, A. Clementi, G. Petrassi, N. Castiglioni, G. Manzoni, G. Ligeti, L. Berio. He has given a great number of concerts as a piano accompanist as well as an organist. As a composer and researcher Alessandro Magini focuses on the relationship between music and experimental theater. In 1999 he obtained the chair of Musical Dramaturgy and Musicology at the National Academy of Dramatic Art in Rome (where he has been teaching since then) and intensified his activities in music composition for theater (collaborating with directors such as Josè Sanchez Sinisterra, Piotr Fomenko, Marcello Bartoli as weel as with the Teatro Metastasio Stabile of Tuscany, Laboratory Riuniti, Rome). In 2000 he was appointed to the executive council of the “National Committee for the Celebration of the Fourth Centenary of the Birth of the Opera” set up by the Ministry of Heritage and Culture, in collaboration with the Teatro Comunale of Florence, Biblioteca Nazionale Centrale in Florence, the Teatro La Pergola . In 2003 he was appointed artistic coordinator of the Centre Magnolfinuovo Prato (training and production in the field of contemporary musical drama). He also is director of the Centro Bardi, dedicated to studies on experimental music in the Florentine Renaissance (Camerata dei Bardi). The interest in the “sound of the word” connotes some of his studies, published in journals. Many of his compositions have been performed in particulary significant places for the humanism, such as the National Central Library of Florence, Florence Marucelliana Library, Accademia della Crusca (Academy of Bran), Library Casanatense Rome, National Library of Vienna, Opera di Santa Croce in Florence. Alessandro Magini has composed several melologues for Chamber Theatre. Recently he collaborated with the philosopher Sergio Givone for a musical version (cello, guitar and narrator) of the novel “In nome di un Dio barbaro” (Ed. Einaudi). In the last years he has been dedicating a series of compositions to the accordion, solo and in duo with various instruments (cello, organ, guitar, flute, piano, oboe, mandolin, collaborating with I. Battiston, F. Gesualdi, D. Bellugi, F. Dillon, M. Barrera, L. Attademo, S. Malferrari, A. Avital, L. Bagnoli). The accordion is also present in his last two works: “Le storie di San SIlvestro. Una sacra rappresentazione” (mezzo-soprano, narrator, accordion duo) for the Basilica of Santa Croce in Florence and” Naviglio-fantasma” (baritone, accordion, oboe) for the exhibition “Futurism in Calabrian music” at the University of Calabria. He is member of the Italian Academy of Cinema for the David di Donatello Awards. His works are published by Edizioni Musicali Berben and, in digital, by EMA Vinci records

Search Add 3 Plan B Pursuit Plan B Pursuit began in Boerne, Texas where two young, lazy restaurant workers (Tim and Jake) met in 2003. After their separate bands (Scamper, Forever Glass) broke up, the young punks began to practice each other's songs in parking lots. After a few months, the practice sessions turned into shows at apartments and street corners. In May of 2005, the duo recorded their first full length (And All I Got Was This Lousy...) with Jake on guitar and Tim on bass and drums, while the two shared vocal and writing duties. The album was released with an overtly positive reception. In June of 2005, the band received an email from Smokey (Filthy & the Muff Divers) applying for the job of percussionist for the band. After the lineup was completed, Plan B Pursuit began playing shows around Texas and building a fan base worldwide. In 2006, the trio began writing and demoing songs for their sophomore release. After playing with bands like The Toasters, No Use For a Name, Whole Wheat Bread, and Cobra Skulls, the band began recording their second full length (Under Your Hat) in December 2006. After a long and frustrating production process, the album is due to be released in stores in July 2008, along with a West coast tour of the United States.
