Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 11 | Museleon | Odette Johnson | After 19 years as an electronic musician under another guise ([a=Soundician]), I finally decided to create a project which allows me to break away from some of the conventions that I have used elsewhere. I have been experimenting more with sound and to finally produce my own tracks. I use a range of field recordings, found sounds and hardware with minimal processing as I’ve always been interested in how sound can morph into beautiful complex patterns with the limited use of tech and processing. It’s the ‘small sounds’, anomalies, mistakes and the sounds ‘between’ that catch my ear. Many of the pieces I create are based on images and things I see, which act as a type of graphic score and increasingly I am using one field recording solely as the basis for the track I am creating, referring to my music as Sound Pictures. The majority of the music is created to be listened via headphones to get the full effect. [a=Odette Johnson] writes music and plays instruments, including keyboards, synths and samplers. |

| Search | Add | 11 | Draumr | Gabriel Cheurfa | Meaning 'dream' in ancient Norse, Draumr stands out as the solo project of the french musician, producer and director Gabriel Cheurfa. Through spell-binding visuals reminiscent of the surrealism of David Lynch, Michel Gondry, Salvador Dalí or Jean-Pierre Jeunet, and a very distinct sound blending dream pop, downtempo, glo-fi and chillwave, the multifaceted artist draws on memories, real or distorted, to build a bridge over emptiness - a junction of dreams and trailing echoes of the past. After the array of pastels and colors of his first two unclassifiable EPs Nefelibata (2015), and Ethereal Mildness (2018) (mixed by the legendary French Touch producer Stéphane 'Alf' Briat), Draumr releases his debut album Drawn-Out Daydream (2020), taking us on an unusual yet intimate and authentic journey. It invites us in its composite universe, grounding us in the present, creating a delicate and dreamlike state. Through its soft synthetic layers on Sage Green Eyes, its ethereal choirs and its warm rhythms on the epic and soothing Solace In Loneliness or the uplifting sophisti-pop duos with the rising french pop singer Dorcas on the songs Sunlight Tryst and Another Heart, the artist rouses our spirits, suspends time, and frees us for a moment, from the weight of modernity. The newly released, hypnotic and catchy nu-disco/avant-pop tune In a Daze (2023) brings out new colors to the project, setting up a solar odyssey somewhere lost in time and space. |

| Search | Add | 11 | K. Mullick | K. Mullick | Mallik, K বাংলা Mallik, K (1888-1959) singer, was born in a poor family in the village of Kusum in Burdwan on 12 Jyaistha 1295 BS (May 1888). His real name was Munshi Muhammad Kasem. But in the world of entertainment he assumed the name K Mallik, just to hide his real identity in the interest of business. In 1902, he moved to Kolkata in search of livelihood and was employed in a shop owned by a Marwari. Later he moved to Kanpur, where he worked for Raleigh Brothers, which traded in hides. Nothing is known about K Mallik's early schooling in music, but while at Kanpur he studied music under Abdul Hai Hakim. He also learnt baiji (courtesan) songs at Kanpur. Back in Kolkata, he started performing in small functions, and gradually gained popularity. He had a melodious voice and recorded shyamasangit for Becker Records. It was at this time that he assumed the name 'K Mallik', because it was feared that a record of Hindu devotional songs sung by a Muslim would not attract consumers. Later, he recorded Hindi songs under the name 'Pandit Shankar Mishra' and Islamic songs under his original name. After he became popular, His Master's Voice recorded many of his songs. In addition to Syamasangit, Mallik also sang songs by rabindranath tagore, kazi nazrul islam, rajanikanta sen and atulprasad sen. His singing of Amar matha nata kare dao he (Make me bow at thy feet) by Rabindranath, Bandhu eman badale tumi kothay (O my friend, where are you now when the rain is falling?) by Atulprasad and Baghichay bulbuli tui phulshakhate disne aji dol (O bulbul, do not shake the blossom-laden branch) by Nazrul stirred the emotion of audiences. His other famous recordings include Aj elo khushir Eid (Joyous Eid has arrived), Anandini Uma ajo amar anandini Uma (O my joyful Uma, the wife of Shiva), Amar Uma, kai Giriraj (O my Uma, where is the Mountain-King?), Amar nayane nayan rakhi (With your eyes on mine), Asichhen habibe Khoda, moder nabi kamliwala (Here comes the darling of God, our Prophet Muhammad) etc. The last song was a duet with abbasuddin ahmed. K Mallik performed a variety of songs from 1909 to 1940. He became so popular that each of his records sold more than 30 to 40 thousand copies. However, despite his fabulous earnings, his final days were passed in Kusum, his native village, in stringent financial circumstances. During his residence in the village, K Mallik passed his time teaching songs to farmers. He died here in 1959. [Wakil Ahmed] Ref. https://en.banglapedia.org/index.php/Mallik,_K |

To escape suspicion that her father was a Chinese spy, the family moved back to Shanghai in 1941. In 1943, Hu Meifang entered a Japanese-run art school in Beijing, "Beijing Art" [北京藝文], to study vocal performance. On the side, she sang in night clubs and made a few recordings without scoring an actual hit. After the war, the Chinese government prosecuted her as an alleged Japanese spy, but she was acquitted. She did return to Japan, though, and acquired Japanese citizenship. In 1952, she experienced her big musical breakthrough. She became the only Chinese super-star in Japan, making numerous records and starring in several movies. In 1974, she converted to Christianity and began singing gospel music in churches and elsewhere in Japan. She died in 2009 in Sumida, Tokyo. |

He joined the Regimental Band of the 13th/18th Royal Hussars (QMO) as a Band boy in Wolfenbuttel, Germany in 1946, and was described as an extremely popular young man and a superb musician. He was posted to the Royal Military School of Music at Kneller Hall in 1952 to attend a Bandmaster’s Course, and became Bandmaster of the Lancashire Fusiliers (1956 to 1964). He was then commissioned as Director of Music of the Alamein Staff Band of the Royal Tank Regiment, and remained in that post until 1970 when he became Director of Music of The Life Guards. Soon after arriving he was promoted to Major (DOM) and then became the Senior Director of Music, Household Cavalry. While with The Life Guards, he formed a record company called Fionmace, which was extremely successful until he sold the business in the late 1990s. He retired from the Army in 1984 and went to the Middle East as DOM of the Royal Oman Police Band where he was promoted to Colonel. Whilst in Oman he made his mark by designing and building an enormous School of Music for the use of over 200 bandsmen. He also significantly raised the standard of musicianship in the Omani Police Band which, when he first arrived, was very basic. Upon his retirement in 1995, he returned to England and spent his spare time teaching the piano and singing in his local church choir. He died on 16 February 2002, aged 71.

There were a few closed gigs. Also, loads of recordings were made. Most of them have been destroyed. Some parts of tapes full of piss and vinegar have just been lost or erased during terrible hangovers. All that have been saved - works from 1997 and later. Those are sounds recorded on our 4-track. The sounds of sick buzz in our heads. Torn apart sheets of iron and stone walls of slaughterhouses spattered with blood. This is the shit rubbed in the silk white sheets of modern industrial. | Search | Add | 11 | Rama Polderman | Rama Polderman (Born March 27th 1924 Magelang, Indonesia - died April 18th 2004 The Hague, The Netherlands), was a doctor, yoga teacher and magician. He was one of the first to bring yoga to The Netherlands from Asia. Polderman started the "Stichting Yoga Nederland" (Dutch Yoga Foundation) in 1957, nowadays better known as "Stichting Yoga en Vedanta". Polderman was the son of a Dutch engineer in the city of Magelang in the province of Mid-Java in Indonesia; his mother died during the delivery. Polderman is named after the king and Hindu god Rama. Polderman's father was practised theosophy. Polderman also claimed to have been a clairvoyant since his childhood. In 1942 he started his studies in medicine on Batavia, but after the Japanese invasion that same year, he and his father were thrown in an internment camp. There he was able to further study medicine through the lessons of other interned professors in medicine and through the practices in the camp hospital. Another prisoner taught him magic and he got in touch with the Vedanta philosophy. After the liberation of Indonesia he left for The Netherlands and during this trip he stayed in Sri Lanka for three months, where a guru told him to spread the Vedanta philosophy and yoga. In The Netherlands he finalized his education in medicine and he started his practice in Bilthoven, The Netherlands in 1952. He also started working for a homoeopathic hospital in Utrecht. With his second wife, the actress and director Kitty Knappert, he started the "Centrum voor Gezondheid en Bezinning" (Center for Health and Reflection) in Baarn, The Netherlands, focusing on oriental medicine and techniques like astrology and tarot. Polderman wrote several books about Hatha yoga, 'do it yourself' books, with an extensive description of the exercises (asanas) and he also produced albums about the subject. As a magician, Polderman won a prize during the Barcelona IX World Championships of FISM in 1964.

| Search | Add | 11 | Omer Coleman Jr. | Omer Gene Coleman II | Born: Sep 4, 1953 Died: Nov 17, 2020 Hailing from Kansas City, Missouri in the late 1970’s Omer was running a mobile disco that ended up using live instruments. It incorporated a spectacular stage show with smoke and light effects. Along with other stage props, including a spaceship styled car, the stage attention inspired him to create his first solo album in the early 1980’s under his moniker “Starship Commander Woo-Woo”. The record itself had a small amount of local success, enough that he started his own label “[l59710] Records”. The name "[l59710]" is actually his first name "Omer" spelled backwards. Releasing 2 Electro styled tracks similar to “Egyptian Lover” and others groups from that era he finally scored a local hit. Omer independently wrote, recorded, produced and released all of his records. By the late 1990’s after his frustrations with radio jocks and the way promotions let him down, he had moved to a gospel sound. Working with young talents and helping to get gospel based hip-hop artists more awareness, he is still active in the community before passing in 2020. |

| Search | Add | 11 | Out of the Void | Out of the Void | A Canadian heavy metal band formed in Chatham, Ontario, March 2017 by guitar players Gord Dillon and Joe Babcock. The band’s sound has been described as a combination of some of the early metal genres (i.e. NWOBHM, Doom Metal, Thrash Metal) combined with an early 90's flavour (i.e. Epic Metal, Power Metal). Out of the Void (OOTV) are heavily influenced by the late 70’s and early 80’s metal scenes with a tinge of early to mid 80’s thrash thrown in for good measure. The concept for OOTV has existed for close to 30 years in one form or another. Early on names for the band morphed from “Titan” to “Even Flow” to “Tip of the Spear” until “Out of the Void” seemed to take hold. Screaming Earth Studios is the private recording studio for the band, located in Chatham Ontario, and was used exclusively to record the songs for all the band’s release. The Earth Screams was release in April 2018 and consists of eight songs themed around Good vs. Evil, Politics, History, World War, Depression, Horror and Fantasy. The band was excited to have “The Earth Screams” professionally mastered at Metal Works Studio in Toronto in early January of 2018. OOTV quickly followed up with their 2nd release "Evil Unleashed" one year later in May 2019. Evil Unleashed is another eight song release that touches on the themes of Good Vs. Evil, Gun Violence, Addiction, World War and Cultish Leaders. As Covid-19 descended upon us it slowed the release of "Sad Shadows In Flames", the bands 3rd studio album. The album barely made it as a 2020 release squeaking out on the last day of the year after 8 months of delays. Sad Shadows In Flames consists of 9 songs focussed mainly on Beating the odds, Fiction, Good vs. Evil, Self Reflection and Vampirism. The band's discography currently consists of three studio albums. Many of the songs have been written over the past 30 years by main song writer Gord Dillon. Gord took on lead vocals for the band which was not the original plan but these two guitarists lacked someone to put a voice to the music. Joe Babcock convinced Gord to just give it a try and see what happens and the rest is history. Gord would describe his vocal style as simply “…just getting it done”. Joe perfects and mixes all of the music you hear which is a combination of him noodling or Gord conveying a hook or riff that goes with the lyrics. Both musicians have their main parts in the band and collaborate extremely well to challenge each other both lyrically and musically to refine each song. Also, showing up from the Void, every once in a while, are two mysterious characters, D.E. Athearly (Drums) and Blitz Krieg (Bass). It is said they are from the ether but D.E. seems to have some type of control over Blitz. When you see one the other is not far behind. Both character fill in on bass and drums through a series of talented friends of the band. Joe assumed lead/rhythm guitars, bass and drums on both releases. Gord took on vocals and plays rhythm guitars. Also credited on the first release is Bobby Pilutti, a friend of the band who consulted on the drum parts to help anchor the rhythm section. D.E and Blitz keep their distance until they hear the call and spring into live action. They seem to shy away from the studio and are drawn to larger crowds of people. Currently, Out of the Void is working in studio on their 4th release, set for December 2022. |

| Search | Add | 10 | Heady Brew | Nashville, Tennessee Formed in 2004, Heady Brew reunited three lifelong friends from a small, sleepy town in south Alabama whose devotion to music culminated in a single purpose: to create a distinct and original form of music drawn from similar and sometimes diverse influences and experiences. The members of Heady Brew have been making music together in one incarnation or combination or another since their teens. Although they’ve traveled many directions geographically and sometimes musically, the common thread has always been the desire to create something original, along with the devotion to the idea of the power of the song. Based in Nashville, TN… Heady Brew is a rock ‘n’ roll band infused with elements of country, and blues. They move with ease from one genre to the next… weaving them together to create a sound distinctly their own. | |

This band, rarely referred to as Very Friendly Kid Ruby, sometimes referred to by Vampire Freaks Killer Rampage, and most often referred to as VFKR, has a lengthy and illustrious history dating back to the early 2010s. Originally started as a solo project by Kelby in 2013, the project was flagged for recruitment to the Bell Garden Records starting roster, a then-new record company searching for development. Kid Ruby joined the band in 2015 after Kelby’s brief stint of making instrumental music, and began recording the album Qwazi, which was released on New Year's Day 2020. Matthew Harris was incorporated as the band's live drummer at the end of Qwazi's production in 2019, and he recorded drums on yet-to-be-released pieces. Since then, the band has produced several singles and is now working on an EP named 'Triomes,' which will be published in late 2021. |
