Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 10 | K. Mullick | K. Mullick | Mallik, K বাংলা Mallik, K (1888-1959) singer, was born in a poor family in the village of Kusum in Burdwan on 12 Jyaistha 1295 BS (May 1888). His real name was Munshi Muhammad Kasem. But in the world of entertainment he assumed the name K Mallik, just to hide his real identity in the interest of business. In 1902, he moved to Kolkata in search of livelihood and was employed in a shop owned by a Marwari. Later he moved to Kanpur, where he worked for Raleigh Brothers, which traded in hides. Nothing is known about K Mallik's early schooling in music, but while at Kanpur he studied music under Abdul Hai Hakim. He also learnt baiji (courtesan) songs at Kanpur. Back in Kolkata, he started performing in small functions, and gradually gained popularity. He had a melodious voice and recorded shyamasangit for Becker Records. It was at this time that he assumed the name 'K Mallik', because it was feared that a record of Hindu devotional songs sung by a Muslim would not attract consumers. Later, he recorded Hindi songs under the name 'Pandit Shankar Mishra' and Islamic songs under his original name. After he became popular, His Master's Voice recorded many of his songs. In addition to Syamasangit, Mallik also sang songs by rabindranath tagore, kazi nazrul islam, rajanikanta sen and atulprasad sen. His singing of Amar matha nata kare dao he (Make me bow at thy feet) by Rabindranath, Bandhu eman badale tumi kothay (O my friend, where are you now when the rain is falling?) by Atulprasad and Baghichay bulbuli tui phulshakhate disne aji dol (O bulbul, do not shake the blossom-laden branch) by Nazrul stirred the emotion of audiences. His other famous recordings include Aj elo khushir Eid (Joyous Eid has arrived), Anandini Uma ajo amar anandini Uma (O my joyful Uma, the wife of Shiva), Amar Uma, kai Giriraj (O my Uma, where is the Mountain-King?), Amar nayane nayan rakhi (With your eyes on mine), Asichhen habibe Khoda, moder nabi kamliwala (Here comes the darling of God, our Prophet Muhammad) etc. The last song was a duet with abbasuddin ahmed. K Mallik performed a variety of songs from 1909 to 1940. He became so popular that each of his records sold more than 30 to 40 thousand copies. However, despite his fabulous earnings, his final days were passed in Kusum, his native village, in stringent financial circumstances. During his residence in the village, K Mallik passed his time teaching songs to farmers. He died here in 1959. [Wakil Ahmed] Ref. https://en.banglapedia.org/index.php/Mallik,_K |

Search | Add | 10 | Greedy Edna | Greedy Edna is from the small town of Greenfield MA. Chad, Enoch and Dan attended Tuners Falls High together. Enoch and Chad had found each other in the local band NCD where Chad played bass guitar. Chad and Enoch found themselves going in a different direction then the other members of that band. The two split of and joined up with other local players in a band called Symposium. they then found Fat Nellie on the drums. That band had a two year stint on the local scene and gained a modest local following. But soon after Chad and Enoch found themselves going yet another direction and formed the band Greedy Edna. For the first six months of the bands existence they went through many line-up changes, going through almost all of the local drum and bass players. Finally and ironically the two decided to call upon Fat Nellie (Symposium's old drummer). It was a perfect fit. And also around the same Enoch had met his old friend from high school (Dan Hescock) in a parking lot and remembered he had been an accomplished bass player. Dan soon after tried out for the band and once again clicked....... Greedy Edna was formed....... The band immediately started working on songs Chad and Enoch had been writing in the meantime and came out with its first demo in '96. It's six songs grabbed the attention of all the local kids and people started coming out in droves to see this new band. The new metal wave had not yet sunk its teeth into the area yet and this was a new sound for everyone. Greedy Edna began to spread from its local area and use New England itself to call home. After four years on the scene Greedy Edna has made a presence in area music. Being featured on radio stations such as 106.9 WCCC (if you saw the Howard Stern movie its the station he's at when in Hartford) and 99.3 WHMP. Also being looked at by many Independent and Major record labels. Greedy is constantly recording and producing new material. For its four years they have 3 full length albums, and another one on the way. So here they are, present day....

Search | Add | 10 | Mohamed Marocain | Mohamed Hamadi | (1907-1973). |

Search | Add | 10 | Haris Čizmić | Dorian Grey | Haris Cizmic formed his first band in 1995 but he hit the music industry in a big way in 2009 when he won the title of Hard Rock's Ambassador of Rock for the year, got signed and released his third and most progressive album by date. That was a good year for Haris in many ways: he released his “Ingray” project, performed with national and international acts and shot several music videos. However, this wasn’t the culmination of his career, in fact that was just the beginning. It was during this time that Haris started exploring other music styles and genres. He started using his own name, as opposed to his previous projects Ingray, Axa, and Therion. Not that these bands weren’t successful, quite the opposite; each groups boasts their own international awards and recognitions. Most importantly, at that time, Haris began a new career and found himself writing and producing for other musicians, as well as recording and performing as a solo artist. Of course he’s had the support of great musicians, like Dave Dupuie, Rocquell Wallace, and others, who appear alongside him in his new work and at live shows. And so, after years of eclectic Euro/American metal mixed with blues, pop, rock, electronic and ethnic music, Haris is officially in new territory as he explores neo-industrial grounds, acoustic rock, electronic goa and film music scores. In 2011 Haris was asked to arrange and perform the soundtrack for "One Last Call", an independent short film that won numerous festival awards. In addition to his work on the soundtrack for the film, Haris also assisted with script writing, video editing, special effects and postproduction in his Detroit-based studio. His work on “One Last Call” wasn’t Haris’ first time working in the film industry; his first movie score was almost ten years earlier, in 2002, for "Escaping Otis" which premiered at the Sundance Festival that year. Haris owes much of his success to other artists who have inspired him, like Tom Waits and Danzig. These artists have helped Haris realize that the production is also part of the song and it's feeling. He doesn’t force everything to sound big and clean, but rather he uses the way it sounds as a part of the song, for a more authentic and organic sound. Haris is also an awarded creative designer and artist. Catch Haris Cizmic’s music videos and songs on television and radio both in the US and Europe. Among his latest releases are "the Worst of - first 20 years" (2015), and a single "Breathe in Water" (2016) |

Search | Add | 10 | Omer Coleman Jr. | Omer Gene Coleman II | Born: Sep 4, 1953 Died: Nov 17, 2020 Hailing from Kansas City, Missouri in the late 1970’s Omer was running a mobile disco that ended up using live instruments. It incorporated a spectacular stage show with smoke and light effects. Along with other stage props, including a spaceship styled car, the stage attention inspired him to create his first solo album in the early 1980’s under his moniker “Starship Commander Woo-Woo”. The record itself had a small amount of local success, enough that he started his own label “[l59710] Records”. The name "[l59710]" is actually his first name "Omer" spelled backwards. Releasing 2 Electro styled tracks similar to “Egyptian Lover” and others groups from that era he finally scored a local hit. Omer independently wrote, recorded, produced and released all of his records. By the late 1990’s after his frustrations with radio jocks and the way promotions let him down, he had moved to a gospel sound. Working with young talents and helping to get gospel based hip-hop artists more awareness, he is still active in the community. |

Starting in the early '50s, he recorded for Joe Brown's JOB and Abco labels, and as "The Emperor" had one record on Argo (the Chess subsidiary) in 1956. He then moved into production, producing and writing Jody Gayles' fine funk 45 "You Gotta Push" on Thomas in 1970. |

Search | Add | 10 | Thieves On The Overpass | Alternative stoner/garage rock band formed in Ankara, Turkey in 2019. TOTOP laid its foundations in 2019 in Ankara, when [a=Atıl Doğan] (Drums) got angry and asked [a=Mehmet Ali Akınoğlu] (Vocal, Guitar) for a guitarist to form his band, and Mehmet Ali (aka Mali) said, "Why don't I play, dude?". The duo, who are best friends from the high school and the neighborhood, have been hanging out together since they were 15. Bros came together for projects before, but all have been postponed; until 2021. COVID-19 came to their aid. Having free time because of the pandemic, Mali almost alone built [l=İNN], a recording studio in his neighborhood. Exactly 4 months after the end of its construction, they started to record songs on March 18, 2021. The name of the band comes from the fact that the duo was being watched from the overpass for hours by thieves during the recordings. Playing only guitar at first, Mali became the vocalist of the group and played bass for the recordings out of necessity. He also did the mixing and mastering. Recordings ended 1.5 years later and [r=27656493] was released on May 26, 2023. Just before the first song was released, Atıl’s another high school buddy, [a=Mehmet Fatih Alp] (Guitar), joined TOTOP. Before the release of the second single [r=27657633], Kağan Torpil (Bass) joined the band. The first album [r=29959648] was finally released on March 1st, 2024 after a 3 year process.

Search | Add | 10 | Draumr | Gabriel Cheurfa | Meaning 'dream' in ancient Norse, Draumr stands out as the solo project of the french musician, producer and director Gabriel Cheurfa. Through spell-binding visuals reminiscent of the surrealism of David Lynch, Michel Gondry, Salvador Dalí or Jean-Pierre Jeunet, and a very distinct sound blending dream pop, downtempo, glo-fi and chillwave, the multifaceted artist draws on memories, real or distorted, to build a bridge over emptiness - a junction of dreams and trailing echoes of the past. After the array of pastels and colors of his first two unclassifiable EPs Nefelibata (2015), and Ethereal Mildness (2018) (mixed by the legendary French Touch producer Stéphane 'Alf' Briat), Draumr releases his debut album Drawn-Out Daydream (2020), taking us on an unusual yet intimate and authentic journey. It invites us in its composite universe, grounding us in the present, creating a delicate and dreamlike state. Through its soft synthetic layers on Sage Green Eyes, its ethereal choirs and its warm rhythms on the epic and soothing Solace In Loneliness or the uplifting sophisti-pop duos with the rising french pop singer Dorcas on the songs Sunlight Tryst and Another Heart, the artist rouses our spirits, suspends time, and frees us for a moment, from the weight of modernity. The newly released, hypnotic and catchy nu-disco/avant-pop tune In a Daze (2023) brings out new colors to the project, setting up a solar odyssey somewhere lost in time and space. |

Search | Add | 10 | Feenix13 | Feenix 13 was one of the founder members of Spiral Tribe. She was a lynchpin of the sound system’s event organisation and played a vital role in the design and décor. Responsible for many of the later flyers and heavily involved in the conception of the event spaces, she helped define the ‘look’ of the sound system. When the Spirals travelled to Europe it was Feenix 13 who coined the word ‘Teknival’. A word which would become synonymous with the new underground movement. At the end of the 1990’s, she fulfilled a similar role in the Sound Conspiracy sound system and embraced video as a design tool. Since 2000 she has been the resident designer for the Audiotrix record label and has more recently been specializing in computer based digital imagery and animation, which she incorporates into her live VJ mixes. Today, Feenix 13 is SP23’s VJ and central to the graphic design team. Her digital remixes of archetypal imagery and mutation of symbolic themes has given SP23 its own, mysterious, visual atmosphere.
