Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Pavel "argenson" Vlach |

He is the first visual artist to integrate manga culture in rap music by collaborating with many world-renowned rappers in Japan and USA. Tuân now works for a video game company as well as an animation studio, and continues to be involved in several (music) projects in the USA and Japan. In Cortland, NY, there is a museum that holds many of Tex's musical pieces and special items. He also had his own television show... His recording of "What Love Have I" reached #11 on the charts. Songs do not reach at those numbers without fans purchasing them from more than just the local town the artist came from. Tex Roe's accomplishments with his musical career are many, as are the accolade's from far outside his local residency. These words are from his family, friends and fans from across the world. The great and legendary late [a246644] produced the album, "Fire Shootin' Pony" for Tex on Mark IV Records around 1970 at his studio in Accokeek, MD. The following appears in the bio of that album: "A versatile writer, composer and master of ceremonies, Tex has already had one record in the Top 10 and several on the Most Popular lists. He is best remembered for "Rocketship To The Moon", "John The Baptist" and "Treasure Chest Of Love." All were original compositions, "John The Baptist" being written by Tex's good friend and partner, [a=John Tobin (4)]. |

Three years earlier, he dubbed the English voice of the judge listing Tuco's many crimes before sentencing him to death by hanging in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Beck was one of the players in National Lampoon's first comedy album Radio Dinner in 1972. He was prominent as well in Allen's 1987 film Radio Days, dubbing the voice of the on-the-spot newsman. Search | Add | 10 | Dr. Revolt | Graffiti artist, painter, designer. Dr. Revolt began his practice in 1977 as an original member of the historic New York City graffiti crew, The Rolling Thunder Writers (RTW). Known for doing both tags & elaborate & colorful pieces, he developed his reputation by taking over the Broadway #1 line with his colorful psychedelic & comic art influenced stylings & later, taking it "all-city". With his contributions to the seminal classic hip-hop films "Wild Style & "Style Wars", various music videos & his tour of duty in Baltimore where he, like a "messenger of style" single handedly kick-started a graff-scene that still feels his influence today, his place in the history of graff-dom is secure. Today, Dr. Revolt's accomplishments far surpass his early NYC beginnings. In addition to designing several t-shirts, album covers, & logo work for various artists including: THE FUN LOVIN' CRIMINALS, THE BLACK CROWS, CAMP LOW, GRANDMASTER FLASH, SLY-n-ROBIE'S TAXI DJ. LINK, SKARhead, etc. ... etc. & creating the classic "YO! MTV Raps' logo, his work has been, & continues to be seen in various publications & art galleries globally.

Search | Add | 10 | T. O. Ampomah | Thomas Osei Ampoumah | Thomas Osei "Jazz" Ampoumah, Dr. T.O. Jazz or "T.O." Ampomah, a Ghanaian Music Legend in traditional Highlife and Palmwine Music. T.O. Ampoumah comes from the town of Obomeng in the mountainous Akan Kwahu region between Accra and Kumasi. Born in 1932 he started learning guitar when he was fifteen years old in the town of Nkawkaw. T.O began playing in public with friends in 1950 when he was just eighteen years old. He formed his Ampoumah’s guitar band Mpraeso in 1952 with Kwabena Amoah (vocals), Kwaku Gyima (second guitar) and Edmond Kye (congas). T.O. made his his first recordings with a Ghana Broadcasting mobile van unit in 1954 and then with the UAC (United Africa Company) that had a small recording studio in Accra. In those days he was paid eight pounds per recording (i.e. two songs) In 1957/58 his guitar band was on tour in Burkina Faso (then called Upper Volta) where he met the Congolese band the Bantus Africana – who invited T.O. and his three musicians to Zaire where they played highlife numbers for the Bantus who were fascinated by this music but could not play it. The Bantus in turn taught the Ghanaians to play local lingala rumbas, chachacha’s, meringues, pachanga and boleros T.O. also met Franco the leader of Zaire’s top band O.K. and so changed the name of his Ampoumah’s guitar band to ‘T.O. Jazz’. When T.O. Jazz returned to Ghana in 1961 they introduced the chachacha to the country. Back in Ghana he set the newly named T.O. Jazz band that specialized in highlifes and Akan renditions of the rumba. It was with this band that T.O. recorded in 1968 the hit song ‘Aware Bone Asu Manim Ase’ (Bad Marriage Has Disgraced Me) that was released as a 45 RPM on the Phillips label. For this T.O. (together with Victor Uwaifo of Nigeria) was awarded in 1970 the first Phillips West African Golden Discs – and went to record a total of 127 songs. So by the mid 70’s T.O. Jazz was a household name in Ghana. In 1996 T.O. began teaching ‘palmwine highlife’ at the Music Department of the University of Ghana, where he also played and sang with John Collins' Local Dimension Band. T.O died after a short illness in 2001. |

Released on one of Chicago hip-hop’s first independent labels, Darn Good Records, the video for “No Typa Drugdeala” had a long run on the phone-in request channel The Box. The rarity and eventual cult status of this release led to a limited re-release in 2013. Search | Add | 10 | Los 33 | Panamanian rock band founded in Panama City in 1988. In 1989, they released their first EP, “Llévate Lo Que Quieras” (Take What You Want), including their best-known songs: ‘Múdate O Muérete’, ‘Alguien Te Espera’ and ‘Ya Ni Me Llamas’. In 1991, their first full-length, “Malas Compañias” (Bad Apples) and the single ‘Tengo Miedo’ became a hit in many radio stations. In 1993, the band released their second album simply titled “Los 33”, which became a fan favorite. In 1997, Los 33 found international recognition with their album “Renacimiento Letárgico” (Lethargic Rebirth). The video for the song ‘No Tengo A Donde Ir’ saw heavy rotation in MTV Latino. The band toured and shared the stage with [a=Enrique Bunbury], [a=Aterciopelados], and others. In 1999, after some line-up changes, the band returned with an acoustic album titled “Experimento Acustico” (Acoustic Experiment), which was well received by fans and critics alike. Two more studio albums were released: “Arriba” (2002) and “On” (2003), which show the band further maturing the hard rock sound presented on their first releases. In 2007, the band was voted the best rock-pop band at the “Sexta Entrega de los Premios PanamaRock”. In 2008, a compilation with their greatest hits, live tracks and brand new songs (plus a DVD with music videos) was released. After that, the band was apparently on a hiatus, however, they seem to be active once again, and they even changed their name to Los 44 in 2013.
