Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 17 | Marjoe Gortner | Born on January 14th, 1944. Former evangelist and film actor, Marjoe Gortner is the grandson of prominent Assemblies of God leader J. Narver Gortner. Marjoe was preaching from the time when he was just a child, around the age of four. By 1951, his younger brother Vernoe was brought into the act. By the time Gortner was 16, his family had made three million dollars profit from the preaching. Not long after that his father ran off with the money. As a young man he did the rounds on the revival circuit and gained celebrity status. In 1972, he starred in the film "Marjoe" which showed what went on behind the scenes. The film which won the 1972 Academy Award for Best Documentary Film is now regarded as one of the most forward criticisms of Pentecostal preaching. Years later Texe Marrs would include a section from the film in his documentary "The Blind & the Dead" which was an exposé on greedy evangelists and religious charlatans. Around 1972, Gortner's album, "Bad But Not Evil" was released on [l39811]. The album which was themed on his documentary was a mixture of country, rock and gospel. The background vocalists included [a258111], [a441646] and [a258113]. Some of the musicians that played on the album were [a229494], [a258119] and [a106940]. In 1973, Gortner appeared at the Millennium '73 event which featured [a2501360]. His acting career started off with "The Marcus-Nelson Murders", the 1973 pilot for the "Kojak" TV series. In 1974, he appeared with [a139175] in "Pray for the Wildcats". The same year, he had the starring role in "The Gun and the Pulpit" which was about a gunslinger on the run who impersonates a preacher. He also played the deranged Jody who becomes obsessed with Rosa (played by [a858521]) in the film "Earthquake". Other films include "Acapulco Gold" in 1976, "Starcrash" in 1978, "Jungle Warriors" in 1984 and "Wild Bill" in 1995. He also had a regular role as Vince Karlotti from 1986 to 1987 in the television show "Falcon Crest". He has been married to Carol J. Raney and actress Candy Clark. (Saladillo being a district of Maracaibo) "Los Gaiteros del Pueblo" was also sometimes added to the name of the band. Later, in 1971, Ramón Quintero registered the name "Conjunto Saladillo" on his own and created a spin-off with some musicians, known as [a4950192]: this is a different group to the original, but they issued some LPs with the same name "Conjunto Saladillo". And at the same time, the rest of the initial band remained as El Conjunto Saladillo de Nerio Matheus or, later as "El Auténtico Saladillo". What makes it sometimes difficult to precisely credit the band. And today, 9 different gaita band exist with "Saladillo" in their name! A book dedicated to the band was even issued in 2015. | |

| Search | Add | 17 | George Sorlie | George Brown Sorlie | b.1885 - d. 19 Jun 1948 Theatrical entrepreneur, was born on 7 February 1885 at Liverpool, England, son of Frederick Sorlie, ship's cook, and his wife Sarah Jane, née Rodick. Migrating with his family to Melbourne, he attended primary school at Williamstown. Following Frederick's death in 1894, George went with Sarah to join relations in Perth. They lived close to poverty until George's rich soprano voice gained him jobs in cheap vaudeville shows. In 1896 mother and son moved to Kalgoorlie, then in the grip of gold-fever. Sorlie sang in bars, halls and in the streets, and was able to support his mother. At the height of his career (1920-40) Sorlie was known as the 'King of the Road', both as an actor and a producer of drama, pantomime, musical comedy and vaudeville. His cheery smile and devotion to 'clean' entertainment earned him the respect of the theatrical world. Zebra-striped cars heralded a Sorlie show in many a country town. His most famous part was the lead in Uncle Tom's Cabin: on one occasion a Townsville publican protested at the whipping Tom received from Simon Legree. Helpless on the floor with laughter, Sorlie was unable to reassure his audience that the whipping was theatrical. |

| Search | Add | 17 | FRIDVYNITE | FRIDVYNITE ("frei Tag und Nacht") is a multilingual german-turkish artist and producer from Wuppertal, Germany. His modern alternative rap and rnb sound is shaped by dark and atmospheric harmonic dissonates. Hard rap parts combined with sung melodies bring a balance that drags you into his straightforward storytelling. Talking about experiences with drug abuse, crime, suicidal friends, and death, he brought impressions of his rainy past to live with his first mixtape ICH SEHE WAS WAS DU NICHT SIEHST ("I see what you cannot see"). With his uplifting humor and sense for describing things vividly, his music brings a bittersweet smile to his listeners faces. But neither existential crises nor racism hindered him of aspiring to learn and get better at doing what he loves to. That is why he never quit music during law school. He connects to that story with his latest release AUS DEN AUGEN AUS DEM SINN ("out of sight out of mind") assuring fans, he is here to stay and to build a future for his following. | |

| Search | Add | 17 | Rembert Wurlitzer | Rembert Rudolph Wurlitzer | Rembert Wurlitzer (27 March 1904, Cincinnati, Ohio — 21 October 1963, New York) was a renowned US collector, researcher, and expert on antique violins and bows, founder and proprietor of the Rembert Wurlitzer Co. dealership. He taught in Cremona in later years and wrote extensively about Italian luthiers. In 1972, Rembert published a book, "I segreti di Stradivari," which thoroughly outlined and described Stradivari's designs and working methods. In 1963, Rembert Wurlitzer served as the consultant and liner notes author for [m=551180] LP on [l=Decca Records, Inc.], one of the first comprehensive presentations of Cremonese luthiery on the mainstream label. Wurlitzer descended from a reputable dynasty of instrument-makers and traders — a grandson of Franz Rudolph Wurlitzer (1831—1914), the founder of Wurlitzer Co., and son of Rudolph Henry Wurlitzer (1873—1948). In 1930, Rembert joined his father's company, Rudolph Wurlitzer & Co. Fully apprenticed as a piano-maker, Rembert Rudolph was always more passionate about stringed instruments. Around 1938, he established and headed Wurlitzer's violin department in New York. In 1949, Rembert R. Wurlitzer quit the family business to pursue a solo career and launched his Rembert Wurlitzer Co. workshop in Manhattan. He employed several notable luthiers and restorers, including Simone F. Sacconi (1895—1973) and his pupil Dario D'Attilli (1922—2004). Over the years, Wurlitzer's company had purchased, authenticated, restored, and sold countless Italian and other antique violins and bowed instruments — from over 300 (out of 600 known) "Stradivarius" instruments and rare makes by [a=Sanctus Seraphin] (1699—1776) or [a=Lorenzo Storioni] (1744—1816) to violins from the renowned Parisian atelier of proto-"industrialist" J. B. Vuillaume (1798—1875). Wurlitzer served as a supplier for some of the leading 20th-century violinists, like [a=Fritz Kreisler], [a=David Oistrach], and [a=Isaac Stern]. In 1967, Rembert Wurlitzer's company purchased the invaluable "Henry Hottinger Collection" of 34 antique violins. It was assembled by Henry Hottinger (1885—1979), a US investment banker who began collecting rare violins in his fifties. Today, a roughly estimated total value of this set would be in the range of $150-300 million — extrapolating recent auction sales and estimates for top-tier "Strads" and "del Gesus," such as 1741 "ex-Vieuxtemps" sold in 2012–13 for over £10.5 mln ($16.4 mln), the 1679 "Hellier" Strad valued in $7-11 million range at Christie's in 2022, and the 1714 Stradivarius sold by Boston's [l=New England Conservatory Of Music] at Sotheby's for $11.25 million in February 2025. | Search | Add | 17 | Mavi Huydur Bende | Serkan Atay | Mavi Huydur Bende 2015’te Serkan Atay tarafından Indie ve Alternatif Pop-Rock tarzlarında solo bir proje olarak başladı. TR: Adını Edip Cansever'in Günlerden şiirinden alan projenin başlangıç noktası şiir bestelemekti. EN: "Mavi Huydur Bende" began in 2015 as a solo project in the genres of indie and alternative pop-rock, initiated by Serkan Atay. The starting point of the project, named after Edip Cansever's poem "Günlerden", was to compose music inspired by poetry. Within this concept, many poems were set to music. However, preferring to be more original before releasing these songs, the project abandoned this idea and started focusing solely on songs written and composed by itself. In 2016, the project released its first single, "Şehri Getir Gel". In 2017, Serkan Atay met guitarist Okan Acarbaş. The duo decided to continue their journey together and in 2018, they released their first album, "Bahçe", recorded in their home studio. Their song titled "Geçmiş Ama Bitmemiş" from the album was featured in the TV series "Çocukluk". This album was followed by five singles. "Mavi Huydur Bende" describes itself as "an independent music project that feeds on anything that involves humans and can touch humans, and pursues good music." |

| Search | Add | 17 | Koran Daniels | Saxophonist, born and raised in New York. Koran mainly studied under Bill Ellington (nephew of Duke Ellington) and John Percel. Then he moved on to a brief partnership with the music major program at Cheyney State College in Pennsylvania. Realizing his foundation was solidly formed, Koran joined forces with friends he grew up with in the internationally known group Atlantic Starr to complete his professional status. While active with Atlantic Starr, Koran also recorded with The Temptations, Lonnie Liston Smith and Sun Ra as a section player as well as a soloist. Later as time passed he began to find his range of expression. To further its width a temporary break away from the group was needed to connect with Norman Connors' trumpeter Duke Jones (also an original member of the group before it became Atlantic Starr). Taking a group on tour to asia, Duke brought Koran on board for the trip to the east. As well as experiencing a new culture (Japan), Koran's prime directive was to learn and incorperate the Jazz form Be Bop into his R&B skills. He started to work with the Japanese blues artist Masaki Ueda. Being that Blues is so close to R&B, the professional relationship between Masaki and himself quickly materialized into a longtime friendship. Working together as much as their individual schedules will permit them to. Other Tokyo based artists he works with include Nanase Aikawa, Oguro Maki, and Lyrico. Experiencing the east with more vocabulary, he rejoins forces with his old time friends Atlantic Starr when they bring there tour to Asia. Furthermore, Korian has performed with Bobby Watson (original bassist from Rufus & Chaka Khan), Tommy Campbell, Paul Jackson (original bassist from Herbie Hancock's Headhunters) and others such as Jazz artists Stan Gilbert and Tom Pierson, pop artists such as Swing Out Sister, r&b artists Janet Kaye and Diana King, and reggae artists Sly & Robbie. Dorian hand picked a specially formed Smooth Jazz quartet to perform for the grand opening at the Bilboard Live in Tokyo and has performed at other venues such as the Osaka Blue Note and the Cotton Club in Tokyo. | |

| Search | Add | 17 | Astral Dance | Pelle Händén | Astral Dance is Pelle Händén, a Swedish synthesist and pioneer within Swedish electronica music who has always proved his worth as both an exemplary synthesist and composer of progressive soundscapes from beyond. He reveals himself as a multi-instrumentalist of great adeptness. All in all his music cutting across and blending a wide range of styles most effectively. A sense of atmosphere plays a key role and creates energetic electronica soundtrack-like moods. Astral Dance is a splendid machinery of talented creations. It is both very dark and wonderfully bright. There is plenty to choose from here. From soothing arpeggios, to the snarling but graceful drums. It is a world filled to the brim of oriental delights and music paradises. Slight basses and hums tiptoe. Dark pads sneak in then back out again. Twinkles of stars represent the sweet sounding arpeggios. High notes reaching the very sky and plucking the moon from it. Settling it nicely in us all. Romances abstract, grief and joy, lost moments of love and pain. I'ts all here for you. |

| Search | Add | 17 | Biggy Smallz | Tim Bigelow | Biggy Smallz (born in 1979) was an underground White/Latino rapper from the west coast who started recording music in 1991 when he was around 12 years old. He is the main reason The Notorious B.I.G. was unable to use his nickname (Biggie Smalls) as his official stage name. By the time The Notorious B.I.G's album Ready To Die dropped in September 1994, the original Biggy Smallz was just 16 years old. Ready To Die inadvertently helped boost the sales of the original Biggy Smallz' records due to confusion in the listening market. In other words, people accidentally bought Biggy Smallz' records thinking they were buying The Notorious B.I.G's. Although he did release other songs. When The Gulf War ended in 1991 he, like many artists, created a tribute song about it entitled "When Duty Calls." |
