Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

One month later, with comrades marching four abreast, they marched through Marble Arch to hold the first Salvation Army meeting in Hyde Park. The story of the band is one of both people and place. The years have been rich in the number of real characters who have formed the band and moulded its progress, inspired by their experience of God at work in their lives. Behind it all has been the location of the Corps at the heart of the West End - General William Booth's inspired vision when he turned the former roller skating rink into God's house.

Migrating with his family to Melbourne, he attended primary school at Williamstown. Following Frederick's death in 1894, George went with Sarah to join relations in Perth. They lived close to poverty until George's rich soprano voice gained him jobs in cheap vaudeville shows. In 1896 mother and son moved to Kalgoorlie, then in the grip of gold-fever. Sorlie sang in bars, halls and in the streets, and was able to support his mother. At the height of his career (1920-40) Sorlie was known as the 'King of the Road', both as an actor and a producer of drama, pantomime, musical comedy and vaudeville. His cheery smile and devotion to 'clean' entertainment earned him the respect of the theatrical world. Zebra-striped cars heralded a Sorlie show in many a country town. His most famous part was the lead in Uncle Tom's Cabin: on one occasion a Townsville publican protested at the whipping Tom received from Simon Legree. Helpless on the floor with laughter, Sorlie was unable to reassure his audience that the whipping was theatrical. |

TR: Adını Edip Cansever'in Günlerden şiirinden alan projenin başlangıç noktası şiir bestelemekti. EN: "Mavi Huydur Bende" began in 2015 as a solo project in the genres of indie and alternative pop-rock, initiated by Serkan Atay. The starting point of the project, named after Edip Cansever's poem "Günlerden", was to compose music inspired by poetry. Within this concept, many poems were set to music. However, preferring to be more original before releasing these songs, the project abandoned this idea and started focusing solely on songs written and composed by itself. In 2016, the project released its first single, "Şehri Getir Gel". In 2017, Serkan Atay met guitarist Okan Acarbaş. The duo decided to continue their journey together and in 2018, they released their first album, "Bahçe", recorded in their home studio. Their song titled "Geçmiş Ama Bitmemiş" from the album was featured in the TV series "Çocukluk". This album was followed by five singles. "Mavi Huydur Bende" describes itself as "an independent music project that feeds on anything that involves humans and can touch humans, and pursues good music." |

| Search | Add | 17 | Darryl 'Lyrrad' Davis | Darryl Davis | Lyrrad started his music career working alongside the captivating electro-rap producer The Unknown DJ on the Techno Hop label. He helped provide production assistance on many classic cuts such as "808 Beats", "2030", and more importantly on "Let's Jam". Darryl Davis continued his association with Unknown DJ into the 90's lending a helping hand with the music on many of Unknown's side projects. Aside from production, Lyrrad is more critically acclaimed for the various album cover artworks that has helped define the west coast electro era. The cover of the World Class Wreckin' Cru's "Surgery", "Juice", Unknown DJ's "808 Beats", and various other picture covers are all credited to Lyrrad. However, the graphics that graced the colorful cover of Unknown's "Let's Jam" is by far considered to be the mantelpiece in Darryl's array of works. The abstract drawing of a "DMX anti-graffiti" missile crashing into a brick wall with the Los Angeles city skyline draped in the background propel the album cover as possibly being one of the finest original renditions featured on any west coast hip-hop album cover. |

| Search | Add | 17 | FRIDVYNITE | FRIDVYNITE ("frei Tag und Nacht") is a multilingual german-turkish artist and producer from Wuppertal, Germany. His modern alternative rap and rnb sound is shaped by dark and atmospheric harmonic dissonates. Hard rap parts combined with sung melodies bring a balance that drags you into his straightforward storytelling. Talking about experiences with drug abuse, crime, suicidal friends, and death, he brought impressions of his rainy past to live with his first mixtape ICH SEHE WAS WAS DU NICHT SIEHST ("I see what you cannot see"). With his uplifting humor and sense for describing things vividly, his music brings a bittersweet smile to his listeners faces. But neither existential crises nor racism hindered him of aspiring to learn and get better at doing what he loves to. That is why he never quit music during law school. He connects to that story with his latest release AUS DEN AUGEN AUS DEM SINN ("out of sight out of mind") assuring fans, he is here to stay and to build a future for his following. | |

| Search | Add | 17 | The Indiana Red Birds | Joe Taylor was a native of Portsmouth, Ohio and later when he was 16, his family moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana. In 1948, he formed a band called the Indiana Red Birds that became pretty popular in the area. They were featured over the airwaves of radio station WGL in Fort Wayne every Saturday from noon to 1:00pm. They offered a variety of entertainment for their listening fans. The group often did appearances at the infamous Buck Lake Ranch. Joe Taylor was known as "The Cowboy Auctioneer". Other members of the Indiana Redbirds included an 18 year old accordionist, Patti Corbat. She could also do square dance calls, twirl the baton and provided some of the vocals. Connie "Cheeseburger" Smith provided expertise on the spanish and steel guitars. They termed Bill Allen a 'three-in-one' entertainer as he could play three instruments - bass, guitar and harmonica. And to round out the group's musical sounds, they had Gene Davis who provided good old fashioned hoe down fiddling. When Gene and Patti teamed up on a square dance, things got to moving in the halls where they performed. Group Members included: Joe "The Cowboy Auctioneer" Taylor (Born: May 11, 1921 - Died: March 24, 2011) Patty Corbat, accordion Connie "Cheeseburger" Smith, Spanish and steel guitar Bill Allen, bass, guitar and harmonica Gene Davis, hoe-down fiddler Credits & Sources Cowboy Songs No. 21; July 1952; American Folk Publications, Inc.; Derby, CT | |

(Saladillo being a district of Maracaibo) "Los Gaiteros del Pueblo" was also sometimes added to the name of the band. Later, in 1971, Ramón Quintero registered the name "Conjunto Saladillo" on his own and created a spin-off with some musicians, known as [a4950192]: this is a different group to the original, but they issued some LPs with the same name "Conjunto Saladillo". And at the same time, the rest of the initial band remained as El Conjunto Saladillo de Nerio Matheus or, later as "El Auténtico Saladillo". What makes it sometimes difficult to precisely credit the band. And today, 9 different gaita band exist with "Saladillo" in their name! A book dedicated to the band was even issued in 2015.

| Search | Add | 17 | 芳艷芬 | Fong Yim Fun was a famous Cantonese opera artist in the 1940s and 1950s, also known as the "Queen of Cantonese Opera", playing on stage and in over 150 movies, her sweet and mellow vocal style epitomised the tender-natured essence of the traditional Chinese woman and gave birth to a separate singing school. Setting the standard for "fa dan" (female principal) roles in Cantonese Opera, she enjoyed screen fame when films like "Mysterious Murder" and "She says 'No' to Marriage" were released in 1951, the theme songs also proving hugely popular. In 1953, Fong founded the Chik Lei (Zhili) Film Company developing a more active role in film production, also adapting many of her operatic masterpieces for the screen including "Hongling’s Blood", "Belle of Penang", and "The Sweepstakes Seller". Fong gave up her career marrying in 1959. In 1984, she founded the Kwan Fong Charitable Foundation to promote Chinese culture which saw her comeback to the stage in aid of charitable causes between 1987 and 1997. | |

In addition to brand new albums, a three-part collection of the most popular songs was finally officially released. In 1995-96, the group enlisted female backing singers [a=Silvija Kairienė] and [a=Svetlana Stoliarova], with the group name altered to include them as "Broliai Aliukai ir sesutės" in some albums. A collaboration with composer and producer [a=Kęstutis Lušas] also took place, which formed a crossover with group [a=Balius] in the form of [m=3872677]. After the group split up in the middle of 1996, Evaldas and Silvija formed a new group [a=Pusbroliai Aliukai Ir Sesutė], together with [a=Kęstutis Valionis]. Kęstutis Kazakevičius released a few solo albums still bearing the group name (to make use of the brand image) under the label [l=Martis]. | Search | Add | 17 | Madhavrao Valavalkar | Madhavrao Valavalkar | Born in Sangli, Mr. Madhavrao Valavalkar lost his parents at an early age and was brought up at his maternal uncle’s residence in Zarap village. He completed his primary education there with Marathi as the medium of instruction. He then moved to Mumbai at the age of fourteen and was employed as a clerk between the years 1904 and 1914. Initially drawing a salary of Rs.8/- per month, he kept long hours in this job. His work involved maintaining accounts for his employer in the Modi script. During this period, he stayed at the Lohar Chawl or what was also known as the Princess Street area. Madhavrao was interested in theatre since his early days in Mumbai. He first saw Bal Gandharva playing the role of Subhadra in a theatrical production in 1908 at the Bombay Theatre. He was by then drawing a salary of Rs.15/- to Rs.20/- per month and financial constraints made it difficult for him to purchase a ticket for this performance. Despite this, he attended the performance and heard two songs from the second act of the play while standing in the corridor of the hall. His interest in music led him to join Anant Manohar Joshi’s Guru Sangeet Vidyalaya in 1913. Within the first three days of his joining this class, Joshi wondered why Madhavrao was working as a clerk when he had a good voice and an impressive physique - qualities that would enable him to join the theatre. Joshi suggested that he enter the world of theatre, as this would give him money and fame, and invited Keshavrao Bhosale, Virkar and others of the Lalit Kaladarsh Natak Mandali to audition Madhavrao. Bhosale stipulated that he would play the role of Narada in the play Soubhadra and the terms of employment would be decided based on this experience. Accordingly, he trained between 8 and 10 every morning and continued to work as a clerk after 11 a.m. This arrangement continued for a week but he was skeptical about the manner in which people would react to his decision to join the theatre. Those were the days when people involved in theatre were generally not treated with respect by the rest of society. Consequently, he stopped attending his music class and severed his nascent links with theatre. In 1914, Keshavrao Bhosale tried yet again to involve Madhavrao in theatre. Madhavrao finally decided to accept his invitation to join the Lalit Kaladarsh Natak Mandali and moved to Amravati for a month after taking a month’s leave from his employer. Bhosale decided to pay him a salary of Rs.40/- per month. His earlier job as accounts clerk came in handy even in his new position and he was also paid an extra Rs.10/- for maintaining accounts for the theatre company. Lodging and boarding was taken care of by the company. Initially, Madhavrao was asked to play the role of sutradhar (narrator) in various plays. He was Vasishta in Ramrajya, Narada in Soubhadra and Sharvilak in Mricchakatika. A year went by in this manner during which time, he received training in vocal music, posture and movement on stage, and in other aspects of theatrical performance. The preliminary training was conducted by Keshavrao Bhosale. While in Lalit Kaladarsh, Madhavrao gained public recognition for his roles in the plays Hach mulacha baap and Sanyasacha sansar. However, he left Lalit Kaladarsh in 1920 at Solapur due to a disagreement, and reached Mumbai to join the Gandharva Natak Mandali. His salary at the Lalit Kaladarsh was Rs.110/- at the time he left. Madhavrao joined the Gandharva Natak Mandali in 1921 and was associated with this company for a period of thirty years. The popularity of the Gandharva Natak Mandali was largely due to the enterprise and performances of its proprietor and eminent actor-singer Narayanrao Rajhauns alias Bal Gandharva. Madhavrao’s first role in the Gandharva Natak Mandali was that of Shukracharya in the play Vidyaharan. It was however his role as Krishna that brought him much public acclaim. He acted as Chokhoba in around 1931, which increased the devotional sentiment in him. In time to come, he developed a liking for harikirtan and began performing kirtans after retiring from theatre. In the long years of his association with the Gandharva Natak Mandali, Madhavrao had several interesting experiences both on and off stage. In 1925-26, Narayanrao and Shankarrao Vyas, disciples of Vishnu Digambar Paluskar organised a music conference in Ahmedabad. Scheduled among the performances were stage songs rendered by Vinayakrao Patwardhan. Patwardhan could not attend this festival due to unavoidable circumstances and sent Madhavrao in his stead. Madhavrao was in Baroda at the time with the Gandharva Natak Mandali for the birthday celebrations of Sayajirao Gaikwad, head of the princely state of Baroda and patron of the company. During this visit to Ahmedabad, Madhavrao experienced the way of life at the Sabarmati Ashram, where Narayan Khare, another disciple of Paluskar resided with his family. Khare had set to tune Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati bhajans in various raags.Madhavrao had the opportunity to be a part of the interaction that took place in the Gandharva Natak Mandali between actors-singers and other musicians. Among some of the reputed musicians in the Mandali were, Vinayakrao Patwardhan, disciple of Vishnu Digambar Paluskar, engaged as actor-singer in the company, and Ahmed Jan Thirakwa and Qadir Baksh, who were retained as tabla and sarangi players, respectively. His own account of his life and times shows him to be a man of great strength and resilience. He recounts a special concert of Faiyaz Khan that was organized in 1937 at Baroda for the Gandharva Natak Mandali. Faiyaz Khan asked for one of the Mandali actor-singers to sing before him. No one was willing to face this situation, but when Madhavrao was requested, he immediately agreed to do so. On another occasion, he agreed to step into a role normally played by another actor, since the latter was unwell. He knew the dialogues and songs meant for the other actor very well and he received tremendous public applause for his performance. He was extremely hard-working and did not let even the occasional health problem disturb his performance. On one such occasion, despite high fever, he continued with his part in the play.As an actor-singer, Madhavrao was known for his beautiful voice, clear speech delivery and a good physique. Madhavrao’s well-wishers and fans celebrated his 70th birthday at the Laxmi Baug Hall, Mumbai. Present at the function were historian N.R. Phatak, Bal Gandharva, renowned harmonium player Vitthalrao Korgaonkar, music director Vasant Desai and reputed lawyer Sushil Kavlekar, among other distinguished persons. References: G. F. | Search | Add | 17 | Peter Buzzelle | Peter Buzzelle/Devil Love Boston, MA Hailing from the great Northwest, where he was a founding member of the pop-noise band Frequency dB, Peter Buzzelle is a singer/songwriter that can best be described as a devotee to guitar-centered Power Pop in the tradition of Big Star, The Posies, and The Shins. Dig a little deeper, though, and you’ll find additional layers that demonstrate a keen sense of song craft featuring a dichotomy of joy and melancholy mixed into a style heavy on melodic hooks, original riffs, and the occasional odd time signature. Shortly after his move to Boston, Buzzelle teamed up with producer/musician Chris Zerby (of Boston’s Helicopter Helicopter) to release two highly regarded full-length records, “To Telescope” and “Museum Of”, which saw him flexing a bit of rock guitar muscle while keeping one foot firmly planted in his Power Pop roots. “Museum Of is full of Buzzelle’s astute and catchy as hell power pop, and at times it reminds us of the finest moments in the aforementioned genre such as The Posies’ Frosting On The Beater, Matthew Sweet’s Girlfriend, and Big Star’s landmark #1 Record, while creating something engaging, original, and completely addicting.” –Bryan Hamill – The Ash Gray Proclamation, May 2012 Firmly established in the Boston music scene, Peter changed his approach in 2014 by going for more of a full-band vibe for his next recording, “Sea of White”, a 5 song EP recorded at Boston’s famed Q Division Studios. Co-produced by Craig Small (Airport) and Chris Zerby, and featuring some of Boston’s top-notch players (Craig Small on guitar, Chuck Ferreira on Drums, Ken Rothman on guitar, Matt Girard on Bass and James Rohr on keyboards), “Sea of White” garnered even more attention and saw Buzzelle signing with indie rock label, Hidden Trail Records. Accolades for the record were strong: “Sea Of White might be the best EP of 2014 to date and opener “I’m Gonna Know You” might be the best power ballad I’ve heard in years, with a swelling, catchy chorus, while “Till Death Do Us Part” and “Happiness and Misery” are a couple of excellent Posies/Matthew Sweet-styled rockers, “Our Life is the Song” closes things out in hooky fashion.” –Absolute Powerpop Blogspot In 2015 “Peter Buzzelle and The Academy” was born, in order to keep a more collaborative and consistent band approach intact, followed by a string of successful shows in the Boston area. Drawing from the core members of “The Academy”, recording began during the winter of 2016 at 1867 Studios with engineer and co-producer, James Bridges, at the helm. The result, “Devil Love” (released in September of 2016), may very well be Peter’s strongest work to date, featuring a diverse suite of songs that represent the full range of his core influences and writing style. Featuring Ken Rothman on guitar, Chuck Ferreira on drums, and Jamie Griffith on bass, “Devil Love” is a tour de force mix of gritty rock, catchy pop, and introspective soul searching from an artist hitting his full stride. 2017 figures to be a busy year for Peter Buzzelle and The Academy, with winter and spring dates in the works. Inspired by artists that came before him, he pushes the boundaries of the expected to create his own sound. And his love for music from around the world leaves no door closed when it comes to what could potentially find its way into a new composition. He enjoys digging for obscure sounds and instruments to include into his music, often juxtaposing those from polar opposite origins. | Search | Add | 17 | Koran Daniels | Saxophonist, born and raised in New York. Koran mainly studied under Bill Ellington (nephew of Duke Ellington) and John Percel. Then he moved on to a brief partnership with the music major program at Cheyney State College in Pennsylvania. Realizing his foundation was solidly formed, Koran joined forces with friends he grew up with in the internationally known group Atlantic Starr to complete his professional status. While active with Atlantic Starr, Koran also recorded with The Temptations, Lonnie Liston Smith and Sun Ra as a section player as well as a soloist. Later as time passed he began to find his range of expression. To further its width a temporary break away from the group was needed to connect with Norman Connors' trumpeter Duke Jones (also an original member of the group before it became Atlantic Starr). Taking a group on tour to asia, Duke brought Koran on board for the trip to the east. As well as experiencing a new culture (Japan), Koran's prime directive was to learn and incorperate the Jazz form Be Bop into his R&B skills. He started to work with the Japanese blues artist Masaki Ueda. Being that Blues is so close to R&B, the professional relationship between Masaki and himself quickly materialized into a longtime friendship. Working together as much as their individual schedules will permit them to. Other Tokyo based artists he works with include Nanase Aikawa, Oguro Maki, and Lyrico. Experiencing the east with more vocabulary, he rejoins forces with his old time friends Atlantic Starr when they bring there tour to Asia. Furthermore, Korian has performed with Bobby Watson (original bassist from Rufus & Chaka Khan), Tommy Campbell, Paul Jackson (original bassist from Herbie Hancock's Headhunters) and others such as Jazz artists Stan Gilbert and Tom Pierson, pop artists such as Swing Out Sister, r&b artists Janet Kaye and Diana King, and reggae artists Sly & Robbie. Dorian hand picked a specially formed Smooth Jazz quartet to perform for the grand opening at the Bilboard Live in Tokyo and has performed at other venues such as the Osaka Blue Note and the Cotton Club in Tokyo.
