Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | Dan Morze | Born in '92, Dan Morze is a Hip Hop Producer who has grew up in Essex around the outskirts of London. Infatuated by the sound of early-mid 90's hip hop, you can hear the heavy influence of legendary producers such as Lord Finesse, Pete Rock, ChySkillz, Nick Wiz, Marley Marl, Dj Muggs and many more. The Emu SP1200 is the main choice of weapon for Dan, assisted by the brilliance of its relative, the Emu Emax. These 12 bit samplers play a huge role in Dan's creativity.

Homero Ojeda Hidrobo (Quito, October 2, 1939 - August 5, 1979) was an Ecuadorian classical guitarist and one of Ecuador's best known guitarists of the 20th century. He was also accomplished in other genres such as popular and folk music. He performed with his father [a3605211] and uncle in his youth. In 1954 he formed the quartet Guanabara y, más tarde, and later the trio Los Latinos del Ande. Throughout the late 1950s and early 1960s they performed all over the Americas, North, Central and Southern. In 1962 the group evolved into a group known as the Los 4 Brillantes or Los Brillantes a group which received notable recognition in the 1960s and released a number of recordings often from Fadisa Studios in Quito. "Homero Hidrobo has been an untiring explorer of that constellation of harmonies that captures the sweet enchantment of music. His sensitivity and craftsmanship of his interpretation makes of Hidrobo a great example of permanent overcoming craftsmanship. His disciplined work it is oriented to discover the true face of the Renaissance, Baroque, Romanticism and along with the music of America, and Ecuadorian music in particular" . It was there when he met clarinet player, violinist & future alto saxophonist Joseph Samuels, who hired him for his orchestra that also played in the Rector Café. Briers did his very first recordings with Samuels's Orchestra for the US branch of Pathé (which later became Pathé Actuelle) on January of 1919, and also recorded with Samuels for Okeh, Emerson, Lyric, the Plaza group (renamed ARC), Gennett, the NYRL group (including Paramount, Puritan, etc.), Arto, Bell, Grey Gull, Edison & Federal among other labels. In addition to recording with the above mentioned Joseph Samuels's Orchestra (& his subset Synco Jazz Band (aka the Tampa Blue Jazz Band, Porter's Blue Devils (Gennett sessions from August 31 of 1923, October 11 of 1923 & November 12 of 1923) & Joseph Samuels's Jazz Band), Briers also managed to record with the Rega Orchestra for Okeh, [a1568094]'s Orchestra (both under Glantz's own name & several pseudonyms such as [a2976919], for example) for several labels, the Blue Ribbon Trio for Okeh, Harry Reser's orchestra & trio (1922 to March of 1923), the Green Brothers Novelty Band (for Edison, Gennett & Okeh among other labels), etc. Briers also accompanied the Harmonizers, Mamie Smith, Clarence Williams & many more vocalists & vocal groups, in addition to appearing on several of Joseph Samuels's violin recordings, some of Harry Reser's earliest banjo solos with piano accompaniment, etc. And if that's not enough, he composed several tunes such as "Just Suppose", "Dew Drop", "Satisfied", "Oh, Joe (Please Don't Go)", "Parson Jenks", "Page Paderewski" (co-written with his boss Joseph Samuels & legendary pianist Pete Wendling), "Fine Feathers" & of course, "Brother Low-Down", which can be considered Briers's greatest hit if we have in mind that it was recorded among others by Bert Williams for Columbia, Al Bernard for Victor, Edison & Brunswick, and of course, Joseph Samuels's (Synco) Jazz Band as the Tampa Blue Jazz Band for Okeh that also included Briers himself at the piano. By 1940, Briers was now living in Franklin, Ohio with his wife Evelyn Russell Groeble & their son James L. Briers (born on 1924). Briers is presumably dead in the period from 1960 or 1970 onwards. |

Search | Add | 5 | Xantos Jorge | Latin rock foursome from Panama Xantos Jorge was formed in the early '90s by Carlos Ivan Zúñiga, Jesús Caballero, and Iñaki Iriberri, later joined by bassist Jorge Camacho. The band started playing under the name of Círculo Vicioso. After the group's name was changed to Xantos Jorge, based on the Panamanian anthem composer, the four musicians began recording their debut album, called "¡Salva la Tierra!". Unfortunately, while the band was getting ready to release that album, Jorge Camacho passed away. Nevertheless, the remaining members decided to go ahead, honoring Camacho's contribution. On December 27, 1994, the album was released, followed by a tour around the country after bass player Juan Ferrufino joined the act. In 1995, their song "Lágrimas de Sangre" hit local charts and its video started to be rotated by MTV Latino. When Ferrufino decided to leave, Carlos Ucar took his place. In 1996, Xantos Jorge signed up to Sony Music, issuing a special limited edition of "¡Salva la Tierra!", which included "Una Canción Mas" and "Viajando en el Tiempo." In 1998, the band returned to the recording sessions, releasing "En Otro Sol", produced by [a=Evan Rodaniche], in the year 2000.

Search | Add | 5 | Gary Wakenhut | Multi-instrument musician from Michigan Gary Wynn Wakenhut of Vanderbilt, MI, (formerly of Lakeview) passed away at Hiland Cottage Hospice House in Petoskey on February 22, 2017. He was born in 1940 in Jackson, Michigan to Wynn and Arlene Wakenhut. When Gary was 10 years old, his mother gave him the clarinet she had played in high school. She also quoted Albert Switzer as saying, “You will never know how much your music will mean to you.” And indeed, music was a profound influence in his life. He played in bands and orchestras; in Ann Arbor and Northville high schools, MSU’s marching and concert bands, his own big band and the Flat River Big Band, Greenville’s Danish Band, numerous pit orchestras and community bands and choirs, The Grand Rapids Symphonic Band and Chamber Winds. He met Anne Wunsch, in the Traverse City Symphony and they were married June 11, 1966 in Omena. They created a musical duo (The Collecting Consort) that performed throughout Michigan for over 30 years. Gary earned his BA in Radio and Television Production from MSU in 1962 and worked as the supervisor of recording at Interlochen for 10 years. He returned to MSU and earned an MA in Guidance and Personnel Services in 1968. He worked as a counselor for 10 years at the Montcalm County Mental Health Center and in a private practice for 15 years. He also taught part time at Montcalm Community College. Following Albert Switzer’s example, Gary devoted his life to “making this world a better place”. It gave him great joy to encourage everyone he met to reach their greatest potential. Throughout his life he volunteered in many capacities including Hospice of Michigan, Montcalm County Commission on Aging, church committees, prisons re-entry programs, Lakeview Seniors (he originated), and many other community organizations. He was known as the “Flute Man” (a Certified Music Practitioner) in many hospitals, Hospice and assisted living facilities. He and Anne traveled to New Orleans after Katrina to play music at Christmas and also taught at an orphanage in Kenya. In 2014, Gary and Anne moved to Song of the Morning Yoga Retreat where he created promotional videos and worked on many environmental and developmental committees. He produced 13 Collecting Consort recordings, wrote and produced numerous radio programs for NPR, and many DVD’s. He trained as a Spiritual Director through the Grand Rapids Dominican Center, accompanying many in their spiritual journey. He wrote a book for parents and produced many programs for school assemblies, church programs and other organizations. He was a serious gardener who loved to share his knowledge and the fruits of his labor with everyone. He was a kind, patient, accepting, creative soul who deeply loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He is now gently nurturing seedlings and making healing music on the other side. Gary is survived by his wife of fifty years, Anne Wakenhut of Vanderbilt; daughter, Jennifer (Jerry) Johnson of Winn and son, Michael Wakenhut of Mt. Pleasant; seven grandchildren, Jessup Hetzman (Jessica Mikel) of Alma, Alyshia (Jordan) Ramon of Crystal, Kane Johnson of Winn, Kaleb Hetzman (Brittinie Finch) of Riverdale, Westyn Gary Holmes, Annie Jane Holmes and Jamie Johnson of Winn; seven great-grandchildren, Noah, Isabelle, Casey, Matthew, Kayden, Luke and Greyson. He was preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law, Jane Wunsch Isaacsen and fathers-in-law Dr. Richard Wunsch and Ernest Isaacsen.

Search | Add | 5 | Mc Ap | Alfredo Urbina Basulto | Mc Ap (Mc Aztekpride) was born in Mexico City in May of 1988. He has loved music all of his life. Giving support and experience, his father showed him different kinds of music and at the age of 13, Mc Ap began writing. His introduction to hip-hop was break dancing, graffitti, DJ'ing, and eventually MC'ing. His first album "Destructive Force," was an introduction of horrorcore rap to Mexico. It became a huge success. There weren't many horrorcore rappers in Mexico, but because of his interest in the sub-genre that differs from many, he stuck with it... adding his own twist, of course. Next, the album "Brutal Kingdom" was released with a pure horrorcore approach. |

Search | Add | 5 | Cristóbal Dión | Christopher Dion | Born: June 2, 1986, Montreal, Canada Multi-genre producer, MC, instrumentalist, and avid crate digger and record collector. He is the son of the Live Sound Engineer and Technical Producer Alain Dion (Celine Dion, Paul McCartney, Laurence Jalbert, Natalie Cole, Yanni, Paul Piché, Lara Fabian). At very young age he started to produce instrumentals for french-speaking boom bap rappers as part of a band called Guerre Froide between 2003 and 2007. Between 2007 and 2010 he started to produce more ambient and folk music with slam on it as part a band called "Le Conte de Monk & Cristo". Between 2010 and 2015, he was a mastering engineer for his own company called Quantum Advanced Mastering, until he decided to sell the company due to burn out. In 2019, he decided to start a new brand, called "Cristóbal Dión", that aimed to be an artist name that "evokes exoticism, yet a name that nobody can steal". He started releasing short Beat-tapes every 4 months. In 2021, he started the LoFi beat-Tape series with the LoFi Halloween Beat-Tape which then was followed in 2022 by LoFi Space Age Beat-Tape. The LoFi Beat-tape series has now many entries, and the format converged towards a 18-min mixtape which "fits perfect one side of a vinyl record". Cristóbal Dión values exoticism, which is exemplifies by using instruments and scales that are not common. He likes to blend organic ethnic sound with electronic analog synths. He also likes to sample vinyl records from the exotica/space age era. On a separate note, Cristóbal Dión loves learning languages. He speaks fluently french, english and spanish regularly. He also learned Portuguese and Mandarin chinese. |
