Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | Edgar Albert Guest | Born: August 20, 1881, Birmingham, England Died: August 5, 1959, Detroit, Michigan, USA A prolific English-born American poet who was popular in the first half of the 20th century and became known as the People's Poet. In 1891, Guest came with his family to the United States from England. After he began at the Detroit Free Press as a copy boy and then a reporter, his first poem appeared December 11, 1898. He became a naturalized citizen in 1902. For 40 years, Guest was widely read throughout North America, and his sentimental, optimistic poems were in the same vein as the light verse of Nick Kenny, who wrote syndicated columns during the same decades. From his first published work in the Detroit Free Press until his death in 1959, Guest penned some 11,000 poems which were syndicated in some 300 newspapers and collected in more than 20 books, including A Heap o' Livin' (1916) and Just Folks (1917). Guest was made Poet Laureate of Michigan, the only poet to have been awarded the title. His popularity led to a weekly Detroit radio show which he hosted from 1931 until 1942, followed by a 1951 NBC television series, A Guest in Your Home.

Search | Add | 5 | George Vemag | George Magkanaris | George Vemag is one of the most well known Greek Djs in the progressive & tech trance scene. He has already big support from great artists of the scene (Matt Darey, Christopher Lawrence,Menno De Jong, Suzy Solar etc...) and his tunes are being played in the biggest clubs and stations all around the world.Signed on Bonzai Music and doing his radioshows on Afterhours.Fm with the title "Waves Of Euphoria" has already gained great feedback from the audience. He has played in many big clubs in Greece and abroad and continues having big success as the time goes by. He is one of the "talents" as said from many people he had worked with and has collaborated with big names such as Misja Helsloot, Robert Vandey, Chephren Blake, Meighan Nealon, Marcie and many others. Having released already singles like "Mentalita", "Heaven & Hell","Endless Night" & "Anakonda" has already given his own sound in the progressive & tech trance scene. He has also done remixes in great tunes like Chephren Blake ft Meighan Nealon - Year After (George Vemag remix),Destination X - Dangerous (George Vemag's point of view), Max Angel - Remember tomorrow (George Vemag's side), Alex Torn - Anamea (George Vemag's midnight remix) and many others...Having started his musical carreer in 2002 by playing in several local clubs, he started his shows in radios in 2005 with the title "Utopic Paths" and then the next show "Waves Of Euphoria". His main idea was and still is to combine different styles of electronica in his sets and productions, but keeping the progressive trance as the main style. His sets always follow the theory of the wave: Goin Up, goin down, goin melodic, goin uplifting, goin techy... and the people love it.2009 finds George Vemag as a nominee for the best trance Dj of South East Europe (Seeme Festival Sofia, Bulgaria) doing international bookings as well. The first few months of 2010 George Vemag delivers his superb remix on Push aka M.I.K.E. - Strange World which is included on Bonzai Dj Sessions mixed by George Vemag. After a small pause in his musical carreer, George Vemag is back for more...Stay updated for his next steps! |

Search | Add | 5 | Overthought | Overthought is an electro/acoustic Rock duo from Pavullo nel Frignano, near Modena. Born in October 2016 the band is formed by Michele Magnani (voice, guitar) and Przemek Werbik (bass). Their musical references range from Ben Howard, to Stu Larsen and Passenger (among the others), but these young musicians’ background goes back to the 90s, to the Seattle grunge scene. This reflects directly on their instrumental and compositional approach. The straightforward songwriting and guitar playing -which lets the bass free to explore- give birth to an easy-listening, yet detailed sound. In 2020 they publish their self-titled album, recorded at All Right Riserva studio, produced by Achille Caifa for Yoloco Music inc. and published by All Right Riserva Recordz.

Search | Add | 5 | Ritmos Tropicosmos | Ritmos Tropicosmos is a seven-piece psychedelic cumbia group, from Oakland, California. They began as a studio project by founding members Jake Rodriguez (órgano) and Bobby Ganush (bass) in October, 2018. Soon after, they enlisted percussionists Jules Anastasia (congas) and Güira Güero (timbales, guacharaca) with Da'vid Garcia on vocals to record the Halloween themed "Tumba de la Momia". In 2019, they augmented the band by adding a full line up, consisting of Eli Reyes on vocals and synthesizers, Lesli Rodriguez on güira and vocals, Danny Ceseña on guitar and part-time member Ivan Flores on caja. Later that year, they released their debut 45 on Discos Más, consisting of two songs: "Tumba de la Momia" and "Beso de Muerte". Ritmos Tropicosmos continues with a heavy emphasis on tropical waveforms and psychedelic sounds. Their inspiration is the sum of their seven minds - meeting at the intersection of multiple timelines. A crossroads of electricity and molten earth, somewhere within the traditional rhythms of the past and the futuristic textures of The Now.

Search | Add | 5 | ZimNovich | Ilya Zimnovich & Milla Zimnovich | ZimNovich are a record production duo, composed of siblings Ilya Zimnovich and Milla Zimnovich. They started their first music experiments in the late 1990s with IBM PC and music trackers, following psychedelic trance tunes of X-Dream and Astral Projection, and then rave and breakbeat tunes of the Prodigy and the Chemical Brothers. About 7 singles were locally released during their first collaboration, the Miracle. One of the singles, entitled "Stella", was licensed to Paragon Software Group for their Palm PDA computer game. The other single "Thunder" was an experiment of electronica dark wave and alternative rock. The song was very famous locally in their hometown and was performed live at local festivals. Then, following success of Incognito, De-Phazz, LTJ Bukem, and Miguel Migs they switched to making lounge and acid jazz music. The Ez Presso band was born. They performed their 8 singles at Sensomusic 2006 lounge music festival. In 2014 they returned back to an electronic roots. Now they have finally found their very own distinctive sound with ZimNovich. Their current genre is a mixture of New Beat, Techno, Electroclash and Neo EBM. They also work in different styles like Synth-pop, Alternative Rock, Trap, Hip-Hop, Industrial, Dark Wave, IDM, EDM and Dubstep. |

Search | Add | 5 | Lew Anderson | Lewis Burr Anderson | Lew Anderson (May 7, 1922 – May 14, 2006) was an American actor and musician, most famous for being the third and final actor to portray Clarabell the Clown on Howdy Doody between 1954 and 1960. He was also a musician. He famously spoke Clarabell's one and only line on the program on the show's final episode in 1960, with a tear visible in his eye, "Goodbye, kids." Anderson was born in Kirkman, Iowa, the son of a railroad telegrapher. He began playing his sister's clarinet when she tired of it, and by high school had formed his own dance band. After a year in junior college in Fort Dodge, Iowa, he received a music scholarship to Drake University in Des Moines. He attended for two years, but then quit school to begin his professional musical life by accepting a job with the Lee Barron sleeper bus band. During World War II, Anderson served in the United States Navy where he started his first band. After serving in the Navy in World War II, he joined the Carlos Molinas Latin Orchestra, where he also wrote the American dance arrangements. In the late 1940s, he joined The Honey Dreamers, a singing group that appeared on radio and early television shows like The Ed Sullivan Show. While working with the group, he met "Buffalo" Bob Smith who offered him the role on the Howdy Doody show. Anderson again played Clarabell on the short-lived "New Howdy Doody Show" in 1976-1977 and in the 1987 40th anniversary special and made personal appearances as Clarabell with Buffalo Bob for many years thereafter. After his six year stint as Clarabell, he returned to music, and in his later years, played and led the 16-piece Lew Anderson Big Band Friday nights in New York's jazzclub, Birdland. Anderson died in Hawthorne, New York from complications of prostate cancer. |

Search | Add | 5 | Jedsa Soundorom | Christophe René Soundorom | There’s no limit to the number of lives you can live in music. Jedsa Soundorom knows this more than most – from his early love affair with hip hop to his wild ride through the 90s house scene, the Paris-based DJ and producer has sampled more sides of the music game than most. He first saw the light at parties in London before holding down a high-level residency at Les Bains in Paris, only to end up spinning records in the rush of New York’s house circuit at The Limelight, Cielo, Pacha and more. After the intensity of the Big Apple, time spent as a DJ in Costa Rica with the sand under his feet was the perfect antidote, indulging his musical obsession in a pressure-free environment. With his well-travelled soul loaded with experiences from across the globe, his interests have naturally drifted towards production as another means of self-expression. While he had already been immersing himself in the craft of making his own music, pivotal sessions with close friends Hector Moralez and Jef K pushed his technique and vision even further. With the in-demand Jack Is High 12” on Zingiber Audio and releases and remixes for Deeplomatic, Soleil de Nuit and Viva Music already in circulation, Jedsa’s inventive, playful approach to house music continues to infect the contemporary scene. Whether on the decks or on record, Jedsa’s Caribbean roots, his years of experience and relentless energy fuse to make for a thrilling and refreshingly honest artist unbound by formula and always striving for the feeling between the groove. |

The vocalist, guitarist, songwriter, and arranger has been a founding member of such noted ensembles as Ibo Combo, Caribbean Sextet, Pikliz, Djanm, and Haïtiando. He has regularly collaborated with past and present musical greats such as Azor (Lénord Fortuné), Réginald Policard, Jean Jean and Philippe “Toto” Laraque, Lionel Benjamin, Mushi and Joël Widmaïer, and Ralph Thamar. His ensembles have shared the stage with Danny Glover and Wynton Marsalis, and he has been a featured artist at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington, DC. He has mentored many of the most popular Haitian vocalists of the past two generations, including Emeline Michel, Beethova Obas, Tifane (Tifany Sejour), and Alan Cavé, each of whom have catapulted on to international careers. He has written dozens of hits for these and other performers, frequently using texts by acclaimed poet Syto Cavé, including “Fè van pou mwen” and “Jounen” for Emeline Michel and “Limit Solèy” for Tamara Suffren. Valcourt’s “Tante Nini,” written in collaboration with Cavé, generated overwhelming excitement when Caribbean Sextet first released the recordings in the 1980s. These tunes remain a prominent and beloved part of the Haitian soundtrack." https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/boulovalcourt

Although is little known, she also won the 1st Prize for Interpretation, with the band [a=Los Iruña'ko] at the 2nd Benidorm Festival, in 1960. Taking advantage of the pull of his triumph in Benidorm, a new release with clear rhythmic content was immediately published: "Te Amaré Toda la Vida" ([a=Hispavox], 1960), but didn't achieve significant sales. In the 1961 edition of the Benidorm Festival -third in chronological order-, which had already become the most important event of that incipient modern Spanish music, she did not attend. However, she recorded an EP with songs from that date, led by the winning song "Enamorada", generically titled "III Spanish Song Festival" ([l=Hispavox], 1961), but went completely unnoticed. Her acting career was more succesful so he move to acting (for instance “Plácido”, byLuis García Berlanga, 1961). She would no longer record or participate in musical activities. |
