Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | Fillmore King | Fillmore King has built a life long career in music. His roots go back to the early days in Tobago when, as a youngster, he took the town by storm, performing live on stage, radio and television. At the tender age of ten, he showed the promise of a gifted singer and musician. He first began performing with his sister. The duo soon became a family foursome when they were joined by two of their siblings. Fillmore starred in the weekly "Phil Swing King Show" which was, without doubt, the hottest live show around. Fillmore performed live at Queen's Hall, the equivalent of Carnegie Hall, in Port of Spain, Trinidad. He formed a group called Phil King and the Swing Pins and they performed for local audiences. He then became a member of the popular group known as The Strollers. Their performances of R&B and the popular tunes of the day were in demand throughout the Caribbean, where they toured extensively. Fillmore moved to Canada in his early twenties and in no time, became a member of a group. This led him to other groups and subsequently to form several groups of his own. His repertoire spanned a vast array of styles from R&B, calypso/soca and pop. Accompanied by his musicians, he toured throughout Canada and became a favorite on the dance scene. Fillmore was a featured performer on the well-known television extravaganza "The Telethon of Stars". In addition to his performing career, Fillmore made time to study radio and television broadcasting at the National Institute of Broadcasting. Fillmore recorded the theme song for "Spaced Out", an animated cartoon video for children. He has recorded radio commercials. Fillmore combines a hard soulful vocal style with melodic harmony and solid music to produce a sound performance that is both energetic and passionate. In addition to his talent as a vocalist, Fillmore is an accomplished musician who plays a number of instruments. In his capacity as composer, arranger and producer, he has four albums and four singles to his credit

Search | Add | 5 | Jason Staal | Jason was one of three vocalists en songwriters from the group Asman, founded in Assen, The Netherlands as a schoolproject in 1999/2000. By 2008 the remaining trio continued to perform Dutch songs in the vein of Acda & De Munnick and Veltdhuis & Kemper. Their distinctive sound, three voices harmonizing, was already apparent on their debut album, 'Mijn Wereld', released 2006. In 2008 they released their second album, 'Eerst Is Nu Wel Klaar' as a full blown six piece rockband. The album was an improvement to it's predecessor in sound and songwriting qualities. Their third and last studio album 'Bijna Voor Elkaar' (2012) was another improvement but it turned out to be their last full album of new work. The follow-up was an acoustic live version of 'Bijna Voor Elkaar', recorded in an intimate setting for a small selected audience. The set was also filmed and released on DVD. With no recording contract and a breaktrough elusive the group called it a day in 2015, playing a farewell gig on September 12, 2015 in 'De Nieuwe Kolk' in Assen. After the break-up of Asman Jason embarked on a solo career beginning with the album 'Daggedachten' which got quite some airplay on the Dutch national radio. The folllow up album was called 'Nachtgedachten' and continues in the vain of his debut album. In 2019 he was invited to record a live version of 'Nachtgedachten' in front of an audience in Nijend in the Dutch village of Anderen. After a relatively quite period of time Jason released his album 'Tussen Twijfel En Tijd' which shows Jason matured as a songwriter as well as a musician. The album has songs in various moods and styles, but are all recorded with a full blown and competent backing group.

He was known as the poet of heart, but his works often deal with deep thoughts about life. With his simple language, harmonious form and musical verse, he spoke about life, joy and pain. Search | Add | 5 | Gáspár Kornél | Kornél Gáspár | Gáspár Kornél is one of the Hungary’s most precious hidden gems. In the early 90's he released a lot of raw trashy dadaistic cassette tapes. Musically it occupies a space between new wave, electro and industrial. The lyrics, mostly in Hungarian, evoke a poignant and mysterious combination of poetic descriptions of the post-socialist reality, unmistakably dystopic images of the future that are sweetened by an almost folksy humour of a bygone era. This in itself would already win - his projects like [a=Új Látásmód Fúzió], [a=Nosztalgia Direktíva] etc a considerable chapter in the history books of the Hungarian electronic music scene. What makes this baritone voice absolutely inimitable though is the fact that the songs are delivered with a wonderfully charming avant-garde showmanship that is both surprising and self-evident at the same time. |

Search | Add | 5 | Loudan | Daniel Illetschek | Daniel Illetschek, commonly known as Loudan, is an aspiring producer and songwriter from Dortmond, Germany. Loudan’s inspiration and passion for music started with at an early age. Music was always present in his life, starting with his first guitar, to his own production set, to his first records. With the rich background in various instruments and melodic sound, he worked relentlessly in search of his own. Mastering the sounds and tones of piano, drums, and guitar with tremendous effort and time didn’t leave Loudan waiting for too long. Hard work first paid off when his remix for “Chemicals,” landed a 3rd place in Spinning Records Remix Competition by Tiesto and Don Diablo in 2016. The remix was remarked for its organic sound infused with piano, and guitar. His latest accomplishments include an official remix, "Last Call", for Louis Vivet, and a signed single, “Back to Life", with Lyon Hart for Casual Jam Records. Such recognition only set new goals to fulfill and dreams to live. The constant improvement is the key. Loudan is currently working on other projects, such as his next single "Circles", which is set to release in early 2018. As well as some other remixes, and his debut EP which will go more in depth about the story, style, and vision of his brand. |

Search | Add | 5 | Gladys Carbò | Gladys Lourdes Margarita Carbo Ramiro Garcia y de la Torre | NY-based Cuban singer a.k.a. Havana Carbo. Died in the Berkshires, Massachusetts, on October 25, 2015. At age 3 she took to the piano and at 8 began formal lessons in Havana, where she was raised in an environment that celebrated music but viewed “nightclub” performing as inappropriate for a young lady. Jazz established residence in her soul during her NY High School years, but a budding career was cut short by marriage to a Cuban Economics major she met while a student at pre-Castro’s Villanova University in Havana. But twenty years, three marriages and four children later, with life’s experiences as a bonus, Havana finally went home to her passion – music. In 1984, Carbo created “Havana Midnight”, a latin/jazz group devoted to her arrangements of Latin American classics from her past, and the group met with instant success in the Berkshires where she resided. She produced an EP (Another Summer), which led to being signed by Soul Note in 1987 to record her first solo CD, “Street Cries”. It featured Gene Bertoncini, Michael Moore, Marvin Stamm and John Sauer. In ‘89 she was awarded a Mass Arts Grant. Carbo recorded or performed with such greats as Michael Moore, Jimmy Giuffre, Gene Bertoncini, Dario Eskenazi, Nilson Matta, Vince Cherico, John Benitez, Café, Chocolate Armenteros, Oriente Lopez, Helio Alves, Sean Smith, Diego Urcola, Edsel Gomez, Aaron Goldberg, John Di Martino, “El Negro”Hernandez, Café, LeoTraversa, the late Edson Machado, and a two-month run as vocalist with the legendary Chico O’Farrill Band. Since moving to NY she has appeared in major clubs from NY to the Caribbean, South Beach and Paris; venues as varied as Birdland, 55BAR, Lenox Lounge, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Smith College, Aaron Davis Hall, B.Smith’s, Lenox Lounge, Helsinki, the Barbados and Jamaica Jazz Festivals. Carbo has been featured guest on radio including WNYC, WFCR, WFDU, WBGO, WDNA Miami, XM Satellite Radio, WLUZ San Juan, and KLAS Jamaica. In the West Indies, the drink “Havana Carbo” was created in her honor at Kingston’s Redbones Blues Café. |

"Vexations (1893) by Erik Satie was an extremely avant garde work when it was composed. The concept of "furniture music" was co-opted by the Muzak Corporation and used as background shopping music. The KB Zed takes 3 songs often heard as shopping music and uses them to create this ersatz exotic tableau that returns the music to its primitive state, causing delirious frenzy amongst listeners subjected to a full 18 hour listening."

Search | Add | 5 | Claudia Kurver | Claudia Kurver was born in 1984 in Halle/Saale (Germany). Her father significantly influenced her music taste with bands like AC/DC and the Scorpions. As a teenager, acts like Marilyn Manson and HIM joined her playlist, along with dark electronic sounds from bands like VNV Nation or Covenant. And thanks to her membership in a dance group, she even grew fond of Eurodance, Pop and German-Pop. In 2005, Claudia moved to Leipzig for studies, where she started exploring music more deeply. She formed the band "Mental Defect" with her husband, Daniel, in the subsequent years. However, personal differences led to the band's dissolution in 2017, which was a tough phase for Claudia. Seeking a new direction, she collaborated with Liss Eulenherz, forming the Dark-Synth-Pop duo "Sonorus7." They achieved initial success with a band contest win and an album release but eventually split due to creative differences. Reconnecting with her rock roots, Claudia attended a concert in 2021, which reignited her passion. With a clear vision, she began working with Jan David, crafting new compositions and joining forces with producers Michael Danielak and Frank Kühnlein. The band's lineup solidified with singles "Unser Moment" and "Ich glaub an Dich" and in summer 2023, her husband Daniel joined as another guitarist. Claudia remains the primary decision-maker, ensuring she maintains her musical independence.

Search | Add | 5 | Franco Verini | Italian pop singer born in Città Di Castello, Perugia, in 1957, he made his debut in his hometown while still a child at the "Ugoletta d’Oro" festival, with the participation of the RCA Orchestra. He played in bands in the Alta Valtiberina area: first the Siros, then the Vibrocementi where he stayed for several years and with which he performed in many clubs in Central Italy. The meeting with Ivan Graziani, at the end of the 1970s, made him realize he was creating his own identity, trying not to imitate other more famous singers. Collaborating with his friend Lanfranco Perini, he then began to write songs. On the occasion of a concert by Francesco De Gregori in Città di Castello, he met the Roman songwriter and proposed him a tape with his own songs. The tape reached Vincenzo Micocci who soon called him to Rome to record the first 7": "Stella". It was 1984. In the following years Franco Verini alternated his own recording activity with production activities with the compilation "Il Vecchio vestito di Nuovo" for the Globo label. At the end of the 1980s, with Marcello Marini, he set up a show called "Canzoni Italiane", with a history of the Italian song during the 1900s, toured in Argentina and in many European countries. He's still active today.

In 1963, Fabbri moved from New York to Los Angeles to pursue a music career. Fabbri released singles on his own labels (Fabbri Records, A & F, Fanum Fortunae, A Flat & F Sharp). In June 1977, he sang "The Phone Booth" on Gong Show, and got gonged when he "hammed it up". Fabbri performed his songs The Stinking Rose, a garlic-themed restaurant where he was a chef. Fabbri self-funded his music and typically recorded at cheap studios. In 1998, Tony released a compilation CD. He delivered a very confusing pitch at the offices of Music Connection Magazine to gain publicity for this album. Fabbri's last known recording was God Bless New York, a song he debuted on a 30 minute special called The Tony Fabbri Show. Fabbri passed away on Jul. 14, 2009. |
