Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026

Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 5 Kiowarini François Vincent Also called Kiowarini (his traditional name), François Vincent is a Wendat First Nations singer-songwriter. His name means "he who sings the soul of his people". Francophone songwriter, he is famous in Quebec for his pioneering work and his unique family heritage: ...the artist comes from the family of Prosper Vincent, the first Catholic priest Wendat (Huron) ordained in 1870 and one of the last speakers of the Wendat language. François Vincent studied singing at the Académie des Trois Arts in Quebec, and then recorded his first album, Kiowarini, in 1973. His famous song Le Huron vagabond made him a star of his generation and a Wendat cultural ambassador. Attached to revitalizing, researching, interpreting and documenting the traditional songs of his nation, he participates in numerous films, documentaries and television shows. He was notably invited to speak during the celebration of the Great Peace of Montreal in 2001. His song La Huronne, composed by Huot and Lavigueur, is a Wendat national anthem. Search Add 5 Nelson Arion The Nelson Arion Male Voice Choir is an integral part of the musical landscape of East Lancashire. The choir was formed in 1887. Although Joe Ingham was the first of many famous names to have the honour of conducting the Arion Choir, it was not until he handed the baton to Isaac Thompson in 1890 that the choir ventured into the competitive arena. In was in 1910 that Lawson Berry (pictured on right) took the Arion to compete at Caergwile (Wales) where they took first prize and Bardic Chair. This was the first time a Chair was ever brought out of Wales.Over many, many years the unique sound from the Arion Choir has been widely recognised by people like Sir Thomas Armstrong, who for many years was a most respected adjudicator of Choral Music. It could be said that the choir hit one of its peaks during and after the 1980’s. The choir won many Festivals and Competitions, which included the Llangollen International Eisteddfod (a record 5 times), the BBC Radio Wales Choir of the Year Competition, The Elgar Trophy and many more. The choir has also appeared at the Royal Albert Hall and the Festival Hall in London. They have also visited Germany, Vancouver, Budapest and Ireland and have made very recent appearances (and continue to do so in 2012) at the prestigious Bridgewater Hall – Manchester.

Search Add 5 Rock Da Mo$T Rock Da Most Rock Da Most was a German-based Hip-Hop group in Berlin. The crew was composed of members DJ Derezon, DJ Run X Kid, MC Roskoe and MC Blacky. Credited with releasing the first record by a West German Hip-Hop group, Rock Da Most released [m=242825] in 1989 prior to the reunification of West and East Germany. Birthed by the Hip-Hop scene in Germany, Rock Da Most, like other Hip-Hop artists and groups, were influenced by the images of American Hip-Hop circulating at the time. During the late 1970s to mid 1980's, Germany experienced its short era of an old-school Hip Hop scene after Charlie Ahearn's 1982 film Wild Style and the 1984 film Beat Street produced by Harry Belafonte. Through the depiction of an African-American / Latino-American youth street culture in America, films like these influenced the Hip-Hop scene in Germany as well as its manifestation.

Search Add 5 Notes From Prague The underground group Notes From Prague was established in 2000 by David Chvátal, a well known Czech director of skateboard videos, [a=Antwi], DJ Negative and producer Maykee, Dave´s brother. NFP was at that time a project leading to the soundtrack of the 2000 and 2001 Praha sk8 video magazines. Their debut album came out in 2002 titled "The Script of Both Elements". This soundtrack - album including 20 tracks of raw instrumental beats was also Antwi's debut. There is also a bonus track on this album - a RMX by DJ Wich - Orien Bounce. This album is quite rare, about 500 pieces came out. The second album "Same Place" in late 2004 made the group better known and there was a huge difference in the sound of their music as well. Better instrumentals, sharper and more direct performance of Darcphayce and guests like LA4, Daniela or Dr. Kary were successful elements of the the band´s progress further in the Czech hiphop scene. NFP also managed to build up a live band with strings, bass guitar and drums. Most of Antwi's lyrics contemplate about differences of life in the US and the Czech Republic (Prague and Philadelphia to be more specific). Some of the tracks in both albums also heavily influenced by life in the skateboarding community. Oblíbené skupiny

Capturing the salt-of-the-earth and grit of Motor City, Michigan, the rock n’ roll history the culture is known for, and melding it with Nashville’s signature musicianship and storylines, Shelby created a sound he proudly identifies as “Rust Belt Country.” He is a performer wired for sound whose talents are branded by his roots—the heart of America, built on hope and tenacity for the future.

Search Add 5 The Verzerrer Schnitzel THE VERZERRER SCHNITZEL WAS A SCHRAMMEL ROCK QUARTET, FOUNDED IN HILDESHEIM, GERMANY. THE FOUR GUYS RELEASED FOUR ALBUMS BETWEEN 2003-2007. By local accounts these german guys were the second most popular band within the of the big city triangle around Hannover in the early 2000s. Formed in Hildesheim, Niedersachsen, The Verzerrer Schnitzel were a very big deal locally, and not as a teeny bop pretty boys or pop icons, either. The Schnitzels won lots of band battles against rival groups with their Hamburger-School-sound. Eric Lindberg of the Shopmouse remembers the Schnitzels circa 2004. By that time Shopmouse were already the biggest thing going in the nothern states. „The Verzerrer Schnitzel weren't like any of the other club bands in our area at that time“ says Eric. „They weren't funny and they didn't have the steps and routines. But they were really loud and aggressive, and pretty much ahead of their time. Gernot Wöltjen agrees. „A lot of the groups at that time were more into the love songs and pretty notes and we were more into the energy“, says Gernot. Reporters who tried to interview the band often lamented that they „don't care“. Oh - but they did! They cared about their music, they cared about their fans, the people who appreciate their music. But above all, they are honest to the point of insult. When asked to produce a track that they considered „a pretty song“, their answer was simply „No! This is our music, you either like it or you won't“. The Verzerrer Schnitzel split up in 2007 after inking a deal with a major label and you can bet some square producer wound've commanded the guys to tone down their paint-peelin' scorch. -Ron Butterfield- Line-up (2003-2006): Gernot Wötjen - vox, git Simon Schramm - git Tim Raupach aka Al Ozu - vox, bass Simon Begemann - drums Line-up (2007): Gernot Wötjen - vox, git Simon Schramm - git Tim Raupach aka Al Ozu - vox Simon Begemann - drums Sebastian Jüngel - bass

Search Add 5 Divorze In the 1980s, a group of young people in Helmond started rapping, dancing, and DJing at school parties. They initially called themselves Sonic Divorze Posse and took part in the W.A.P.S. rap and beatbox battles in Amstelveen and Amsterdam in 1987. When they discovered that there was already a group from Amsterdam with the name Sonic, they dropped that part of their name. From then on, they were simply called Divorze. [a=DJ Charm (2)] became the group’s regular DJ and producer. Together with [a= Speed One] (formerly Beatbusters), they created beats using drum machines like the Roland TR-808 and the Amiga 500. They learned a lot from the group [a=bugas], with whom they also performed. At that time, the group consisted of: Charm (DJ), SpeedOne and [a=soke] (rappers), [a=Paddy T] (bassist/manager), [a=S.C.T.], Eas, and Rolls Roy. Divorze performed in the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium. They had the opportunity to record an album with the Runn label, which primarily specialized in reggae. Due to technical issues and lack of experience, their 1990 album [r=1416836] didn’t turn out as they had hoped. Nevertheless, the group earned considerable attention and respect. They opened for major acts like Run DMC, De La Soul, and Paris, and were even invited to join Public Enemy’s European tour. However, some members needed to finish school, so they decided not to take the offer. In 2017, Speedone, DJ Charm, and Soke decided to revive Divorze. They created new tracks and performed at Urban Matterz 2018 in Helmond. Their style remained true to classic hip-hop: boom-bap beats and lyrics with a message. In 2019, [l=Dutch Gems] —a label dedicated to releasing classic Dutch hip-hop—put out the EP [m=1618936] featuring a selection of exclusive tracks from 20 years of Divorze Posse. In 2024, Speedone released a solo album titled King of the South.

Search Add 5 OLSK OLSK is a musical project oriented toward dark and minimal techno, created in 2015. I previously worked on a psychedelic project, namely "The Karaganda Project", with already a 5 tracks full-on EP early 2014, and a full length, 8 tracks techno LP released in march 2015 on speed sound records, before creating a new project dedicated to techno: [a5136834]'s first EP: No pun intended, was released by subwoofer records. five subsequents EP have been released by NG records, Oxytech recordings, Viral digital Outbreak and Hexagon Recordings. Now renamed OLSK, my project ventures into a mix of darker sounds and melodic content. As a live act, OLSK likes to combine loops from already released tracks with sounds from hardware synths and drum machine, all of this controlled from an octatrack sampler, changing those tracks into a dynamic live set.

During the following years, he entered many more contests, and, he eventually became a professional vocalist and song writer. His first record, 'Thunder and Lightning', -- was for the Starday People in Nashville -- which is not a bad start. With his first band, 'The Bounty Hunters,' he toured the Pacific Northwest and the Midwest, then went to Canada and did a syndicated TV show for the Screen Gems Co. Later, he worked at many of the clubs and casinos in Las Vegas. "After that, he went to California, working most of the clubs and hotels from Los Angeles to Capistrano. A member of the Hollywood Red TV Show, he toured with that talented little gal, Sue Thompson, who is one of the best in Nashville Sounds. "Recognized as a song writer among his many friends in the C-W music field, he has appeared on shows with such notables as Ray Price, Kitty Wells, Guy Mitchell, Jim Reeves, Johnny Ray and Wynn Stewart, among many others. Living in the Desert since 1976, he has made it his home. His latest record, 'Hollow Sounds of Silence,' is now available and has been aired on 187 radio stations in the USA and in Canada."
