Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 4 | Amembal Dinkarrao | Dinkar Amembal | D'Amel or Amembal Dinkarrao If alive, Amembal Dinkarrao or D'Amel (1909-1990) would have been 95 on September 24, 2004. Old time listeners of All India Radio would recall fondly his innumerable compositions used again and again as signature tunes. D'Amel is rightfully called as the Father of Orchestration of Hindustani classical music. It is necessary to differentiate in simple terms how difficult it must have been to set Indian or Hindustani classical themes, melodic and individualistic in nature in orchestration which is infact harmony based as is Western classical music. This very quality highlights the contributions of D'Amel. Though not trained in true Guru-Shishya Parampara in 'Gharana' style on one to one basis, D'Amel was a master craftsman when it came to orchestration. Have you heard of a conductor of musical ensemble without his baton leading the group as it were to its ultimate climax? Have you heard of a lead conductor being a part of the orchestration holding and playing a metal flute providing impeccable listening pleasure? D'Amel did this feat successfully from 1935 to 1966 on All India Radio Bombay Station for over 30 years! Born in Guwahati (North-East tip of India) D'Amel belonged to South Kanara Chitrapur community. He was a singer, harmonium player and conductor of Indian ensemble all rolled into one. Another oddity was he was little hard of hearing and in his later years he had turned totally stone-deaf. V.K. Narayan Menon, a musicologist, Indian Dance Expert and Founder Director of Prestigious National Centre of Performing Arts called him "Beethoven of India". Greatness of D'Amel lies in his expressive way of simplifying Raga music which even a novice could understand. A whole new generation in Independent India was brought up on his music could differentiate raga music from one melody to another. True to the motto of All India Radio, he propogated good music to common radio listeners. In 1947 with Independence came a ban on 'harmonium' - a foreign instrument with French reeds. Though this was a setback, it did not deter D'Amel. He took up simple metal flute and even presented full length events on All India Radio Bombay. He led a life of a saint steeped into spiritualism and ended his life like a Yogi in 1990. Biography by Prakash Burde, September 2005 |

| Search | Add | 4 | Western Continentals | The Western Continentals is the Barbershop Harmony Society's 1968 International Quartet Champion. First organized in 1964 in Phoenix, Arizona with Curt Kimball on tenor, Ted Bradshaw on lead, Paul Graham on baritone, and Terry Diedrich on bass. That fall, they won the 1964 Far Western District Championship. They qualified for international the next spring and finished 8th in Boston, MA. In 1966, Curt Kimball was drafted and was replaced by Al Mau as tenor. The quartet qualified for the 1966 international contest to be held in Chicago, Illinois. They sadly dropped down to 21st. Following that contest, Terry Diedrich was forced to leave the quartet due to personal reasons and was replaced by Phil Foote as bass. In 1967, the quartet went to Los Angeles and jumped from 21st all the way to 2nd place silver medalists. In 1968 in Cincinnati, Ohio, they won it all. They won that contest singing songs such as “Are You From Dixie” and “Heart Of A Clown”. The quartet traveled all across the county following their championship singing for chapters and shows everywhere. In 1971, Al Mau moved to California and was replaced by Frank Friedemann as tenor. The quartet retired following the 1973 international convention in Portland, Oregon. The quartet came out of retirement several times throughout the decade before calling it quits for good in 1979. During their time together, they recorded three albums: “Gonna Build A Mountain”, “Barbershop With A Continental Flavor”, and “The Continental Sound”. They all included their popular show tunes and a few of their contest songs. Their third album included a few piano and guitar tracks provided by Frank Friedemann. Al Mau went on to earn two silver medals with the Pacificaires in 1973 and 74. Ted Bradshaw was an international finalist in the 1970’s with the Command Performance. The championship version of the Western Continentals, Mau-Bradshaw-Graham-Foote, reunited in 1988 for the society’s 50th anniversary in San Antonio, Texas and the original district championship version, Kimball-Bradshaw-Graham-Diedrich, reunited in 2014 to celebrate their 50th anniversary as Far Western District Champions. The Western Continentals’ final curtain call was in July of 2018 in Orlando, FL when surviving members, Al Mau, Ted Bradshaw, and Paul Graham were honored for the 50th anniversary of their international championship. Today only Al Mau and Frank Friedemann survive. Phil Foote died in 2017, Paul Graham in 2018, Ted Bradshaw in 2019, and both Curt Kimball and Terry Diedrich in 2022. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | The Brumbeats | Buddy Ash (Graham Ashford) lead vocal (left 1965) Paul Carter saxophone Alan "Bugsy" Eastwood drums, vocal (left 1966) Graham Gallery bass guitar, vocal (left 1966) Roger Hill guitar, vocal (left 1966) Tony Carter guitar, vocal Robbie Harper guitar, vocal (joined 1966) Alan Buxton drums (joined 1966) This Birmingham group came very close to making a breakthrough into the record charts early in 1964 during the first wave of the British "beat boom" as started by The Beatles and others. The line-up were first known as "The Plazents", named after Mary Regan's well known Plaza Ballroom in Old Hill where the band became the resident act. "They are all good musicians - quite a rarity among modern beat groups" The Plazents were formed in Erdington by drummer Dave Mountney (from the Beachcombers), guitarists Graham Gallery and Roger Hill (both previously with a group called "Bobby and The Dominators") while saxophonist Paul Carter came from Northfield. By 1963, The Plazents had enlisted Buddy Ash from Smethwick, formerly of The Eko's and the Diplomats, as their lead vocalist. While at the Plaza, the group were able to back some well known visiting American artists such as Tommy Roe, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chris Montez, The Ronettes, and many more. The positive response to The Plazents from the Plaza regulars was such that they were signed to a recording contract by Decca Records in July 1963 although it would not be until September before they could go into the studio due to bass guitarist Graham Gallery having a bout with pneumonia. Decca also told the group to get another drummer so Dave Mountney was replaced by Alan "Bugsy" Eastwood. In order to capitalize on the so-called "Mersey Beat" mania that was sweeping the country at that time, the term "Brum Beat" was being used by some promoters as a means of advertising West Midlands groups who had recently been signed-up. In light of this, Decca Records decided that The Plazents name should be changed to "The Brumbeats" prior to the release of their first single. (Note: there was also another 1960's group in Birmingham called "The Brum Beats" whose vocalist Norman Haines would later join the group Locomotive). Decca Records chose a great song for the A-side of The Brumbeats first record release that had been composed by the group themselves. The track was called 'I Don't Understand' with the recording done very much in the style of the popular "Mersey Sound" while also considered as potential material for well known singer Billy Fury. The song was actually composed by the Brumbeats singer Buddy Ash (Graham Ashford) who wrote the lyrics with the music composed by Graham Gallery and Roger Hill. This record was produced by Mike Leander who had recently made hit records with another Brum band The Applejacks. He would later work with The Fortunes and The Montanas before going on to have much success with Gary Glitter in the 1970s. The single's B-side was another up-beat recording titled 'Cry Little Girl, Cry'. Despite radio and TV appearances on shows like "Thank Your Lucky Stars" the Brumbeats 45 did not manage to become a national hit although it was popular throughout the West Midlands and sold-out in many Birmingham record shops. "The Merseyboys" The band's profile also increased when a local newspaper at the time published a story with the headline; "It could be a really fab Feb. for the Brum Beats". The paper went on to say; "They are all good musicians - quite a rarity among modern beat groups - and Decca are considering using them as session men." As well as providing support for visiting acts, The Brumbeats had performed on the same bill as The Beatles whenever they played in the Birmingham area. The Brumbeats similarity in their sound to The Beatles was not lost on Decca as they were soon involved in a recording project resulting in the release of a now-rare 15-track album of Beatles songs as performed by "The Merseyboys" who were really The Brumbeats under a different name. While most Beatles fans would not be fooled by these recordings, the LP stands as a tribute to The Brumbeats as talented musicians and in particular guitarist Roger Hill who brilliantly duplicates both George and John's parts simultaneously as he probably usually did on stage! This album was also issued in the U.S.A. on the famous Vee-Jay Records label - one of the first American labels to promote records by The Beatles. Despite making other recordings for Decca, the Brumbeats unfortunately disbanded in early 1965 when Graham Ashford left to go solo before further records could be released. The group later re-formed for a short time with new members Robbie Harper and Alan Buxton replacing Roger Hill and Bugsy Eastwood. Graham Gallery briefly joined the Rockin' Berries and later became a member of "The Midland Light Orchestra". He also worked with the famous Move and Wizzard performer Roy Wood during the 1970s. Graham died in the 1980s at only 35 years of age. Roger Hill went on to other Birmingham bands including The Uglys and later re-uniting with former Brumbeats drummer Alan Eastwood when they formed the pop/rock group The Exception. Roger enjoyed a successful career as a jazz guitarist until he passed away in 2011 (see Roger Hill). Sadly, Alan "Bugsy" Eastwood also passed away in 2007. Buddy Ash (Graham Ashford) went on to form his own new group in 1965 that was named "The Bobby Ash Sound". Graham later moved to Hawaii and now lives in California where he still continues to perform and write songs. Saxophonist Paul Carter was recently discovered in South Africa where he still lives today. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | No:Id. | Economic constraints drove this duet to seize the philosophy of austerity; “big things surprise by their simplicity” and “manage to make things with less than you have” were two of the mottoes that Gustavo Madrid and Omar Scavone embraced at the time of bringing this new project to life. They wanted to create songs that could be easily sung, they wanted to create a music that was independent from a particular moment, from a time; they wanted to create a music that could carry on living, that could last. The group was stigmatized as being “different”, snob and only suitable for the huge minority; rated of being intoxicating but serene, of having swing and style. The lyrics in English enjoyed a warm reception and someone suggested that if you had a French friend, he will surely like this band´s music. Their sound can´t deny the influence of Tindersticks, Nick Cave, Lou Reed or Tom Waits; but true to their blueprint, NO:ID. introduces a musical scheme that´s based on the subversion of pop music, where they put together an infinite series of tones and sounds that go beyond the usual resources of this musical style. NO:ID. makes part of an innovative musical world where new technologies, traditional instruments and everyday objects are combined to create a sound palette where every tone will be appreciated for its originality. The revamp of styles and the non-conventional instruments they used to generate sound invigorates a proposal in which the duet looks for an original and innovative music. NO:ID. tries to broaden the boundaries to give more room to imagination, creativity, innovation and musical experimentation. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Face-Beta | Fabián Badano | Fabrecord exist since 1999 as a vague idea but was in 2003 that started to grow a little more serious, in 2006 there was a jump in the progress with the introduction of a PC with some software the project isn't serious yet. Searching in google for name validation i was aware that the name "fabrecord" already taken somewhere by somebody, so, i change the name to Fab-Rec or FaB-Rec in 2007, in 2008 i added "FaB" as a pseudonym for the same reason described abode and the same time, got a hardware upgrade to another level (from Pentium II to a Modern AMD processor more than enough for the music software used back then). In 2009 introduced "Fabianrec" and subsequently created a soundcloud account that is still today online. Face beta, that was in 2010, from some self thoughts about the how much last for "make some musically descent work", so the word "Beta" stands that the works has bugs in it, so the music made also contains "errors" those "errors" are a subjective perspective, so the β letter went included in consecutive names variations on the following years; Faβ in 2012, Faβian 2013, FacBeta on 2015 to 2017. In 2017 was the absolute depression. In that year, started a new project based on a mobile app called nanoloop under the alias Bafdan that was the mobile name back then, focused on minimalism and the whole production with no other additional post processing more than some basic mastering (very basic). On 2020 there were some "comebacks" under the old "Fabrecord" as artist alias, more mature and with wisdom in productions. On the current times, Fabrecord label host all those pseudonims and its albums and/or EP's along with the newest productions in the works. Also uses various pseudonims such as Fabrecord, Fab-Rec, Fabianrec, FaB, Faβian, Faβ, FacBeta, Bafdan |

| Search | Add | 4 | Gilfo | bio: Dall'età di 13-14 anni, se ben ricordo, ho iniziato ad ascoltare rap, anzi, più che rap, ho iniziato ad ascoltare Eminem.Conoscevo solo lui come cantante hip hop. | |

In the '90s ,with Pippo dj (from Acid Drop sound system), Pociashanty started to play in the best club of Italy to spread the first techno music. In 1994 started to play in little parties. Only vinyl sets.In 96 Pociashanty had for gift his first pc. | Search | Add | 4 | Derek Sea | Derek Sea is a well accomplished musician - vocalist, and performer. Derek Sea was introduced to the magical world of music by his father and began playing drums at the age of 8. It was two years before Derek began banging on the piano, and at the age of 12 was playing jazz standards with a local jazz band lead by his father. Derek has opened up and toured with some of the hottest groups in the recording industry, like Roger Troutman and Zapp, H-Town, 69 Boyz, and B-Rock and The Bizz. Because Derek Sea blends so many different kinds of music together so well- southern R&B, with a touch of Jazzy blues and hip-hop, definitely sets this artist performance apart from the others. | |

A partir de ahí la banda cae en un estado de decadencia perpetua en el que se encuentra ahora mismo… |
