Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025

Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 4 Derek Sea Derek Sea is a well accomplished musician - vocalist, and performer. Derek Sea was introduced to the magical world of music by his father and began playing drums at the age of 8. It was two years before Derek began banging on the piano, and at the age of 12 was playing jazz standards with a local jazz band lead by his father. Derek has opened up and toured with some of the hottest groups in the recording industry, like Roger Troutman and Zapp, H-Town, 69 Boyz, and B-Rock and The Bizz. Because Derek Sea blends so many different kinds of music together so well- southern R&B, with a touch of Jazzy blues and hip-hop, definitely sets this artist performance apart from the others.

Search Add 4 Charles Den-Baars Charles (Chuck) Den-Baars started playing drums in Rock bands in 1974. By 1980 he decided to start making electronic music. Primitive drum machines and synths with found sounds on tape were used as he slowly acquired better equipment. Over the years he's been the core member of several groups, including Young Science, Psycho-Bunnies, Psycho Beat, Cyberia, Brash, and Galusha. For now he is a 1-man band (Kalter Trost) influenced by Kraftwerk, Gary Numan, Ultravox, Cabaret Voltaire John Foxx, Front 242, Nitzer Ebb, and many new Industrial bands from Europe. His studio, Voodoo Manor, is located in Tucson, Arizona. Several styles of Electronica are dabbled in...EBM, Electro/Industrial, Trance, and Synth-pop. Lyrics are mostly science-fiction themed, with a futurism edge.

A master vocalist, he was also proficient on the Rudra Veena, Sitar and Jala-Tarang. Several musicians of high standing learnt from him, among them his nephew Aman Ali Khan of the Bhendibazar Gharana (and through Aman Ali the influence extended to Amir Khan), Nivruttibuwa Sarnaik, Ganpatrao Dewaskar and others. Lata Mangeshkar, too, briefly took Taleem from Rajab Ali during her stint under Aman Ali. In 1909, he was conferred the title of Sangeet Ratna Bhushan by the Maharaha of Mysore. His last big musical programme was held in 1957, in Bombay.

Search Add 4 Blaze Camo Blaze Camo formed in NYC in 1995 and featured Jesse Jones (Yuppicide) on vocals, John Lafata (Mind Over Matter, Neglect, Madball) on drums, Trevor Silmser (Awake) on bass and David Acampora on Guitar. The goal of the band was to create a sound that was hard, but different from what they had done before. They didn't want to rest on their laurels and success of previous projects. Instead they chose to push their boundaries and not concern themselves with fitting into hardcore or punk. The result is a heavy, unique blend of musical influences that swells, jerks and drives at you like it wants a piece.

Search Add 4 Manuel JdEM Emanuele Misurina Manuel JdEM was born in Pinerolo (Italy) on 27 th October 1986 and since his first years he showed a great interest in music and a natural feeling with it. When he was 10 years old he began to study music: piano and then clarinet. When he was 15 he bought his first vinyl. His talent was imminent and he had no problem in acquiring mixing skills and, in a few time, he began to spin his dj set, that was a 360° dance/club set, in several clubs. In 2004, he decided to leave House music selections and he devoted himself to Hardstyle music. In this year, he won a djing competition, which was organized at Guell Disco in S. Secondo di Pinerolo (Italy). In the beginning of 2005, Fusion staff was born: a staff, who organizes parties on Sunday afternoon at “Le Cinemà” Disco, in Roletto (TO - it), where he's still resident dj and Booking Manager. In 2005 he became part of Parhasar Staff, so he worked at Altavista (ex Cellophane) in Rimini, Domina in Toirano (SV), GOA in Avigliana (TO), DUE in Cigliano (VC), at Sundance Festival in Biella, Ultimo Impero Discotempio in Magliano Alpi (CN), Vogue Disco in Castelsardo (SS), L'Acropol in Paris - France and The Emporium in Coalville Leicestershire UK. Manuel is also the founder, with DJ Vortex, of Hardforum ( www.hardforum.org ), born in the beginning of 2005, which is a very important meeting point for Italian hardstylers. It creates a direct link between the audience and dj/producers. In 2005 Manuel JdEM has his “musical birth” and he spins his dj set on the best dance floors in north Italy . His live sets are appreciated for variety and musical selection concerning Hardstyle, Italian Style, Hardtrance and Jumpstyle. In his dj sets you can listen also to his personal tracks, which he produces in his personal music studio.

Search Add 4 Johnny RUBiX John Ruiz With inspirations ranging from Beck to Eifel 65, John Ruiz aka Johnny Rubix, prides himself on his ability to create interesting, genre bending music. Perfectly representing the unique artistic landscape of Tucson, Arizona, Rubix's musical range is only limited by his imagination. As a result, it is impossible to place him in any one genre. Pop infused dance numbers such as DamnLove offer a stark contrast to the melodic stylings of a song like "Poison," which showcases Rubix's production abilities. Self taught to play a variety of instruments, Rubix creates his own production soundscapes entirely by himself, often times playing every instrument in the song. Combined with his unique song writing talents, Rubix presents himself as one of the most versatile musicians out of Arizona. Others have taken notice, as Rubix has played massive events such as the 2015 Super Bowl Block Party in Phoenix and the Tucson Hip Hop Festival. Not limiting himself to just the creation of music, Rubix plays with new mixes and blends as a resident DJ at The Hut in Tucson.
