Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026

Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Pola Chapell Pola Chapelle Pola Chapelle is known for her film work on Goodbye in the Mirror (1965) and Windflowers (1968) and was married to Adolfas Mekas. In the 60’s there was a growing interest in folk music from other countries. Prestige Records who had made its mark presenting some of the greats of the jazz world, decided to create a label dedicated to international folk music. Pola Chapelle was asked by Kenny Goldstein, a producer at Prestige International, to record an LP of folksongs that would be representative of all the provinces of Italy and in as many dialects. Rooted in her enthusiasm for the music and language of Italy, she accepted the opportunity to express in song some of the love she had for the people and the land.

Search Add 3 Back To Mama Fuzz-Stoner-Desert Rock band from Halle (Saale), Germany The band was active between 2003 and 2015. Reunited for several shows in 2022 and 2023. Back to Mama is not the slogan, but the name of the band. We are from Halle the city near the river Saale, also known as the grey diva. The brittle, dirty however upsetting charm, which this city has, is found again in the music of BACK TO MAMA, lovers of handmade, oppressive rock, who commit themselves now stylistic too - as they call it - "Bloody Fuzz Rock"... Ill, heart-impact moderate rock, sometimes pulsating, piercing and urgently, then again taking back calmly. From the love for large, tube driven amplifiers created tones, which drives voluminoes pressureful on the ears... The members of "Back To Mama" are ramppigs. Live Back To Mama develops ever more to a speedcooker with a high energy rock performance, which brings the public to raving. The resonance of the refrigerator-large Cabinets, the strong volume the equipment is poducing, lifts itself against chest and ears and leaves the viewer and listener with a pleasant feeling of glowing fire. .. ..style: Fuzz Rock.. since 2003..

Search Add 3 The Cinnamon Firm Hugh Burns - Vocals, Guitar Joe Curley - Lead Guitar Michael "Denny" Dennison - Organ Jeff Lynas then Kieran McCann - Bass Paddy Johnston then Norm Burns - Drums The band were formed in November 1997 by five friends from belfast's mod / 60s revivalist scene. After only five rehearsals the band played their first gig at Copperfields in Belfast . In April 1998 Kyran McCann took over as Bassist from Geoff Lynas. The five piece were picked up by manager Jim Rielly, erstwhile of from 70's punk legends Stiff Little Fingers. This led to a session at Novatech Studios where they recorded their debut EP (which ended up being an albums worth of material). They took just one day to record 11 tracks. The subsequent release "Cottonwool Crossroads" was very well received, especially within the UK mod scene . The band then toured throughout the UK and Ireland and received some interest from US record labels. 1998 Norm Burns took over Drums from Paddy Johnston and a collection of new songs were then laid down at Ja Studios in March 1999. This led to interest from a well known boxing promoter Dean Powell. The Firm embarked on a frenzied summer of gigs and secured a regular spot at the Creature Club (Vicos). The song 'Doing Me Wrong' from the Ja sessions was penned for a single release in August 1999, however in early August everything started to break down, an american record company that was interested in signing the firm pulled out due to the death of the the record company's owner and soon to follow was the departure of the bands manager Jim Reilly. It wasn't long after that before the band started falling apart due to disappointment more than anything, Joe and Kyran packed their bags which effectively killed off the band, so rather than trying find to replacements and continue along the same path - Hugh and Norm decided to explore new directions while still drawing on their deeply ingrained influences by forming The Keepers. Paddy and Denny went on to form The Penny Dreadfuls (re-named The Dreads) Highlights of the time with the Cinnamon Firm include performing on BBC/ RTE television , playing with such great bands such as Nine Below Zero and of course spending a few hours with the modfather himself ---. Mr Paul Weller, Noel Gallagher , Matt deighton , Paulo Hewitt, Steve White etc in dublin.

Search Add 3 Architek Percussion ARCHITEK PERCUSSION is a Montreal-based quartet specializing in the performance of experimental, minimalist, multi-disciplinary, crossover, and electroacoustic chamber music. Founded in early 2012, the quartet has quickly established itself as a dynamic force in Canada’s vibrant new music community; equally comfortable in performing classic repertoire and exploring new terrain through commissions and premieres. In addition to self producing concerts in Montreal, Architek regularly tours and appears across Canada and internationally. Recent appearances include New Music Edmonton, live@CIRMMT, PASIC, Ottawa Chamber Music Festival, Virée Classique (OSM), Innovations en Concert, Cluster Festival (Winnipeg), the Music Gallery (Toronto), nu:nord (UK/Norway), and the Scotia Festival of Music (Halifax). In addition, Architek has toured with support from the Conseil des arts de Montréal, Debut Atlantic, the Canada Council for the Arts, the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, and Jeunesses Musicales Canada. Architek has commissioned and/or premiered over 40 works by composers from Canada, France, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden, USA, and the UK. Several of these commissions have led to commercial recording projects, of which Architek appears on five: Bookburners (Nicole Lizée / Centrediscs, 2014), A Boat Upon its Blood (Jason Sharp / Constellation Records, 2016), Metatron (Eliot Britton / Ambiances Magnétiques, 2017), Katana of Choice (Ben Reimer / Redshift Records, 2017), and The Privacy of Domestic Life (Architek Percussion / Centrediscs, 2017). Architek’s diverse regular repertoire is at once engaging and challenging for audiences, and is presented in a manner inspired by the quartet’s belief that given proper context, no audience member should feel alienated by the nature of a performance of contemporary art music. Architek Percussion is Noam Bierstone, Ben Duinker, Ben Reimer, and Alessandro Valiante.

Search Add 3 Ian Roegels Ian Roegels Whether it’s time spent consulting with artists on their equipment or time spent in the studio developing a client’s masterpiece, Ian Roegels is a leading industry expert at the forefront of the scene. Though not a household name, he’s been a consistent force for over 30 years with a talent that rivals his contemporaries. He spent his childhood growing up in Oklahoma City learning to play and produce music. Eventually he earned a degree with honors in music production from the University of Central Oklahoma vía the Academy of Contemporary Music, founded by Scott Booker (The Flaming Lips). As a producer, engineer, mixer, and musician, Ian has had his hands in a wide variety of projects over the years. An artist in his own right, his work as a producer often incorporates his own sounds and textures into the recordings giving them a unique flavor and feel. This approach has won him acclaim and recognition from his peers, from bedroom musicians to Grammy winners. No matter the genre, Ian’s focus is on the song and the artist, ensuring that the final product is the best it can be. In addition to his work in the studio, Ian is also a highly sought after consultant, working with artists across the globe in the development of new projects at Sweetwater Sound. He has served as a consultant for educational institutions, government facilities, and live performance venues. 2022 saw the release of the EP “Navigating Dystopia” by dangerous robot to critical acclaim and saw Ian move from a producer role to being a full member. "Ian Roegels helped bring dangerous robot from a garage band to a professional act", says Gunner Williams. "If you’re looking for that secret sauce for your music he’s your huckleberry. You can borrow him but you can’t have because we found him first!" 2023 will see the release of his first solo release since 2018 entitled “Blue Marmalade”, a full fledged pop album featuring notable guest artists including Roger Joseph Manning Jr. (Jellyfish, Moog Cookbook, Malibu), Kenny Aronoff (John Mellancamp, John Fogerty, Smashing Pumpkins), Nick D’Virgilio (Spock's Beard, Genesis), Subcat artist Christian Parker, Grammy nominated artist Cory Landry, and Damon Mitchell.

Search Add 3 Mery's Key Mery's Key are an unlikely duo of female voice & bass guitar masquerading as pop music. Imagine how Newton Faulkner brought alternative guitar playing styles into pop music, but with a bass guitar instead and a female singer in the vein of Natalie Imbruglia or Natasha Bedingfield. Singer Mery Bertòs and bassist Kevin Reginald Cooke formed the duo at the beginning of 2021 and debuted at the G.Modena Theatre in Palmanova, hand-picked to provide musical entertainment during the life-time career award presentation for Italian journalist Enrico Mentana, and have since begun a collaboration with producer Matthew Parisi (Shayne Ward, Luna Blue, Nobody's Wolf Child) to fulfil their vision of being able to build songs from the bass and vocals up in such a way that the music can be appreciated far beyond the audience of their niche.

By the end of his senior year Hans acquired the stage name “Flawless” (given to him because of his incessant desire to pen perfect rhymes) and went on to cause such a lyrical upset at the school’s talent show, that the principal banned rap from any future shows.
