Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Steve Angstrom | In 1988 Steve Angstrom founded TimeShard, noted innovators in the UK electronic dance underground during the ‘second summer of love’ in 1989. They became one of the UK’s first live ‘acid house’ acts, and during this time they developed a sound which blended what we now call Psychedelic Trance and Ambient Dub. At the time they described their sound as “Shamanic Trance” a name derived from their interest in using the music, and the trance in a more directed and “magical” way than their more mainstream peers. Timeshard’s music found success UK’s free-festival circuit, which was in a period of transition and fusion as acid house fans found a place to dance without restriction, outside mainstream club culture. Steve and TimeShard built a devoted following among the mixture of punks and Acid House followers which flocked to Britain’s free festivals fields during this period. Gradually, their live show expanded outwards and across Europe, while their sound gained elements of ethno-techno, trance and dub. Timeshard also gained attention for their self-released, cassette-only albums, Who Pilots the Flying Saucers in 1991 and Hyperborean Dome Temples of Apollo the following year. In 1994, Planet Dog signed the group and released Crystal Oscillations and the trio’s second full album, Hunab Ku, appeared in 1996. Touring and performing constantly from 1989 to 2001 Steve moved away from live performance, but now is back after digging through his vaults and discovering hidden treasures, his unreleased works which were recorded in snatched moments but never released. Recovered Artefacts ’93 – 97, soon on Sleepers Records. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Biomusique | Biomusique is the vehicle for percussionist/multi-instrumentalist Greg Ellis and siren/songwriter Lisbeth Scott. Some will be familiar with Ellis' work as a founding member of the sacred music duo Vas. Unlike Vas, which is rooted in more Middle Eastern and East-Indian rhythms and atmospheres, Biomusique's first effort, 'The 10,000 Steps,' is a polyfused hybrid of many styles that range from textured electronic ambience to atmospheric riffs on Celtic sound-stylings. The results are breathtaking. Scott's vocals resemble the non-local phrasings of Liz Fraser and Lisa Gerrard, toning, intoning, chanting, and singing, blending and bending a fluid vocabulary of vocalese. While Ellis moves surprisingly well out of his percussive comfort zone to play a number of other instruments such as trumpet, guitar, dulcimer, piano and, of course, a battery of drums and percussion. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Scald Process | Scald Process is a collaboration project between Stormfield (Fausten / Combat Recordings) and various live instrumentalists and vocalists including Luxul, Liam Noonan, Eden Grey, Joe Zeitlin, Marco Donnarumma and Mar Del Corral. Informed equally by Autechre, Basinski and Scorn, the project was borne out of dark rooms and fucked up sounds, pushing the extremes of harmonic noise but with a solid soundsystem discipline, combining string abuse, improvisation and distortion with gigantic subs and abstract technoid beat structures. The project began with Aimee Mullen and Marco Donnarumma in 2014 as Sea of Scald (later shorted to Scald) with tracks featured on Rinse FM and a couple of releases on Section 27 and Loose Lips. This evolved into Scald Process in Autumn 2016, combining a wider range of instruments like viola, violin, piano and vocals with evolving electronic techniques, and quickly snowballed into a load of new material. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Maulwerker | The Maulwerker (often appears as Die Maulwerker, please use ANV for that) is a vocal ensemble and collective of composers, music performers and theater makers, founded in 1977. They've been active in subsequent years with a changing array of members: 1977-1988, 1989-2001 and current group, working since 2001. Members of the ensemble came from diverse artistic backgrounds such as singing, composition, performance, intermedia arts, instrumental music, acting and directing. They work at the intersection of music, space, sound and silence with theater and language. The ensemble premiered Schnebel's most important works for music theater, created either during the rehearsal process with the Maulwerker or composed specifically for the group, like Schau-Stücke and the Kafka-Dramolette. Schnebel's fundamental work of modern vocal music, the open score Maulwerke, has been realized by the ensemble in a variety of versions and on different stages. In addition to the classics of new vocal music and experimental music theater, the Maulwerker repertoire focuses on more recent trends through active collaboration with composers, radio dramatists, sound artists and directors. Besides their activities in the ensemble, each artist is also active as a soloist, and the group often realizes works by individual members. | Search | Add | 2 | Mamour Ba | Mamour Ba | Experienced musician, composer and multi-instrumentalist, the Senegalese Mamour Ba had his musical initiation in the African roots alongside renowned artists and academic training at the Dakar School of Art in Senegal and the University of Versailles in France. Since then, I have united your classic and root experience to build your musical universe. His first CD / album, "O Poder do Rítmo", composed of 08 tracks and which has the participation of his son, Cheikh Ba, shows a small part of this universe. It is a spiritual work, intuitive and innovative. They are tracks that involve the traditional rhythms and traces of contemporary music. The remarkable presence of the drums, the dialogue between the instruments, the pitches of jazz, the smoothness of the harmonies and the electronic traits, are characteristic of this work. |
