Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 8 | Jon Alkalay | Growing up in Brazil and later moving to Austin, TX, exposed me to so many different influences.... but it all started at home, my dad was a classical music aficionado and wonderful baritone and my mom, who immigrated from Portugal, continues singing Fados beautifully. Besides these huge influences, I grew up listening to different Latin, American and European pop, rock and EDM, which is all reflected in the music I make. But my main inspiration are the 80s synthpop bands such as Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, Erasure, Duran Duran... I moved to the US in 2000 in the midst of the music industry collapsing due to all piracy and internet, which ended up forcing me to take a new direction in life. After many years in the corporate world, I decided it was time to let my music come out and live my dream. By the way, that is what my first single is about, Putting Myself First!

Search | Add | 8 | Osmi Putnik Dva | Osmi Putnik Dva (Serbian translation for the cult horror classic Aliens; Also there is rumour going that they’ve called themselves this way to make fun of the hard rock Croatian band Osmi Putnik) are also known under these aliases 8pII, Osmi Putnik 2, Osmi putnik drugi deo, 8P2, Osmi Putnik II. Band was founded in 1998 in Belgrade, Serbia, and very soon they have gained the reputation of one of the fastest bands on the hardcore/metal scene. 2000 saw the band release it’s first album titled Kerber je mama (this time they made fun of famous Serbian hard rock band Kerber in the title of the album. “Kerber Is Awesome”) Since then they have released 4 more albums (Drugi Album in 2002, 8PII in 2003, KRVAVI PIR in 2005 and last one Treća Sofra was released in 2007.) They are well known for their speedy thrashing riffs and almost too loud to bear music onslaught all packed just in a few minutes in all of their songs, their lyrical themes are always about the horror movies and the creatures from them and also about black humour. Almost all of their shows are always full of rowdy headbanging and moshing maniacal fans. Osmi Putnik Dva shared stages with Napalm Death, FullsizE, Hitman, Šaht and many more domestic and foreign bands. 2008 saw the band mark their 10th year anniversary by playing 3 hour sets of their complete discography with small pauses in between them.

Search | Add | 8 | Slight Lie | Metal band hailing from Prešov, Slovakia is active since 2012. After large amount of line-up changes the only former member and main songwriter remains Demo. Starting as a female-fronted band, the band released its first full-lenght record Last Poem in 2013. Leaning towards modern hard rock sound with focus on melodic vocal lines and catchy choruses the band promoted the album on various gigs around their homeland. The next year brought another significant line-up change, this time behind the microphone. With the new singer Peter the band switched their style to more heavy metal approach with occasional harsh vocals and breakdowns. In 2019 Slight Lie recorded their second album Countdown with very positive feedback both from fans and reviewers.

Search | Add | 8 | The Knowe O'Deil Band | The Knowe O'Deil Band hail from Orkney. its members had been playing for many years in ub sessions in and around Orkney before forming the group more than 10 years ago. Since this time the band has seen many talented Orcadian members come and go. There is a good tradition of music in Orkney, although there seem to be more tunes than songs. Very little of it has been heard outside Orkneny itself. There is an Orkney folk festival every year, held in the town of Stromness in May, and occasionally ceilidhs are held throughout the county. All members of the band are self taught Most of the tunes are Orcadian tradition, some of them are from famous native fiddlers. Remarkably enough, this is the first revivalist LP of folk music on the Orkneys.

He was not shipped to Korea but instead was sent to post World War Two Germany where he served as a chaplain's assistant. While serving, he had the opportunity to apply his musical skills, and began to explore the keyboard. Returning stateside, he was accepted at the Crane School of Music at Potsdam, New York. As an applied piano student of James Ball, John received the coveted Senior Recital Award with graduation. A career of teaching music in public schools in the state of New York was followed by a period of self exploration and travel abroad and across the United States and Canada. A romantic man, John Burrows loved the music of the great European composers of the 19th century Romantic period. One of his favorite journeys was tracing the life of Chopin. John prided himself on his athletic ability and well as his dedication to his beloved instrument. His daily routine included long distance running, tennis, golf, ice hockey, hiking or skiing. This was always preceded by two hours of practice that included his favorite Russian exercises and running scales and arpeggios up and down the keyboard. Afternoons and evenings, Mr. Burrows was back at the piano, either performing or working out his pieces. Mr. Burrows passed away in November of 2012.

Also its image and staging was groundbreaking for the time, which attracted a lot of attention from the Spanish specialized media as it was a group that was not based in the Iberian Peninsula. Rock, Glam and Sicodélica were marking the evolution of their musical proposal. His recordings never did justice to his sound on stage. In the early 80's they decided to move to Madrid to cement their trajectory and look for new opportunities. But the Madrid stage of Teclados Fritos was not the springboard they expected. The music scene in Madrid was in full metamorphosis towards the New Wave and the Spanish Punk, later called "La Movida" and could not find their space despite being converted as a group in the Besos Rabiosos. They finally dissolved.

Search | Add | 8 | Axlubi-X | Axlubi-X is a opened crew and music band originally from A Coruña (nordwest Spain), from the borough of Agra del Orzán. They met up firstly back to 2009, in improvised music jams in a social center of the barrio. every day, along two months, they met evenings together with other musicians and artists to djing and rapping. After that, Saco and Papis Diao made official band Axlubi-X and very soon they gave their first shows. Axlubi-X stands for a opened and spontan community. Axlubi its a word in Dakar which refers a place in the streets of this city where people come and go, often before don't know each one, play something and have smalltalks. "X" means anonymous, nobody is relevant in the band. There are official members, but no one is fixed. "X" it's also in the name because is the letter which always begins the ID card of immigrants in Spain. It's such a mark with the spanish state classifies people in groups for his use and values. Since 2011 they record professionally their tracks with their own mediums and knowledge, in different places which build up together "Axlubi Studios". In 2012, Niggaché and Omar Master joined the crew officially, not as newcomers, actually as a comeback because they were also in the origins of the band, they participated too. Axlubi-X existence it's quiet complex, because each member comes of a different country in the world, they just came together on a point, but they are constantly on the road because life experiences. And they are also in different lifetimes, different ages, that's makes the teamwork also special. But this all mixes up a band with different faces, styles and tastes where each life experience has a strong effect in the band. It's Axlubi-X. Nobody seems to be relevant, the crew it's what you see, but you can't understand them without to watch out to the members under this name. As the society, people it's treated as zero many times, forgotten in an anonymous life where nobody cares about the other, but there is a chance to work together, make something special for you and then bring something out to be free, to be one and to be yourself.

He sings the experiences that mark the heart and soul. Folksinger / Songwriter, he is inspired by models of American folk music such as Townes Van Zandt, Blaze Foley, John Prine, Guy Clark, Steve Earle, but especially his idol: The Tallest Man On Earth. Without superfluous, Nothing but the essential. A tessitura first, of a "dramatico-sensual" gravity, striking of contrast with the gracility of the character. A guitar serving simple melodies, but with just enough to see the streets of Nashville, the steppes of Central Asia and other images of Epinal as soon as you close your eyes. The great escape, then, with that poignant little something that grips your chest, the heart stops and races at the same time." |

Search | Add | 8 | Schlangengeist | Matt Bonk | One-man experimental industrial black metal / symphonic project created by Noise Nazi originally in 2017. Originally the demo "Nocturnal Feast" was recorded in summer of 2017. It featured nothing but electronic noise & dark ambiance with an emphasis on distorted & tortured vocal FX. "Immortal Beast" was recorded in 2018 & went toward a more conventional black metal style. Both demos were shelved & unknown to the public until a re-release of "Nocturnal Feast" was featured on Narkotik Analog Recordings in 2021. Since then, Schlangengeist has made a total of 3 demos, 1 rehearsal, a compilation tape & 1 split. The project went on to mix industrial, noise & power electronics with simplistic bass, guitar riffs & synth melodies. Forming "black metal" in a much more unconventional sense, with elements of grindcore, death metal, war metal & more. This project does not care about 'talent'. |

Gunnarsdóttir studied at UCLA in Los Angeles and at the School of Visual Arts in New York.Ásdís is known for her performances that take place in unconventional places and her video installations consisting of three dimensionality and visual phsycadelic poetry. Treating videos as songs, Ásdís vj´s together combination of her videos and reads poetry over them. Her art work can vary from large video installations and performances to spoken word poetry and photography. Her performance at the Berlinale film festival was called “The Abstract Prophecy Conference”. It was a 45 min long “journey to the psychedelic vastness of the feminie mind. The artist controls an abstract PowerPoint blended in with music, videos, performances and poetry”. A one woman show where she mixes video art and skype performances into the stage. Ásdís started making performances through skype in 2007 where she had a new performance every Sunday afternoon by the computer. The audience would call in that hour for a performance. Since then she has on and off used the online medium for performance and video making, where improvising plays a big part of the art. In 2011 she made a large video installation called “Improvised, immediate past” in the show “Momentum”, she recorded a performance and did not allow herself to edit it, it was a one take and projected onto the walls, live size from 3 different angles. This way she wanted to release her control over the video medium and celebrate the “Power of now”, the beauty in the details. Ásdís is a part of an artist group that is called “Theater of Artists” that makes glamorous evenings of performances in the basement of The National Theater in Iceland. In the fall of 2011 Ásdís along with Ragnar Kjartansson and Davíð Þór Jónsson lead a residency in Banff called “The Soiree Retreat” where artists got together every week and made an evening of Soirees, full of poetry, videos and singing. |
