Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026

Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Ray "Bones" Rodriguez Ray "Bones" Rodriguez (b. 1962, Monterey Park, California) is an American professional skater, vocalist, and punk/rock musician (playing guitar and bass). He was the first-ever member of the legendary Bones Brigade crew. In May 2019, Ray Rodriguez was inducted into the Skateboarding Hall of Fame. Rodriguez grew up in Cerritos, California, and began skating with his elder brother at age three. As a teenager, he also began riding "moto-x" on a local dirt bike track. In early 1978, [a11176655] invited Ray Rodriguez to promote his Powell Corp decks and newly-launched Bones Wheels (hence the "Bones" nickname Rodriguez soon adopted). He invented several tricks, such as "aerial tail tap" and "invert to tail." After [a=Stacy Peralta] joined the firm and it renamed to Powell•Peralta, Rodriguez became the first "Bones Brigade" member. He also conceived the iconic "Skull & Sword" design in 1979, illustrated by V.C. Johnson and released as the first pro signature deck by Powell-Peralta. After 1982, Ray "Bones" Rodriguez largely disappeared from public contests and magazines, opting to skate privately, often together with other prominent riders, including [a2991774], Jeff Grosso and Omar Hassan. By the mid-80s, he became a professional surfer and continued riding "moto-x" with [a=Steve Caballero]. Rodriguez first got into the punk-rock scene around 1979, introduced to many local acts by [a=Duane Peters]. He played bass and guitar in Californian "Chicano punk" band X-Members and replaced [a1517127] on guitar in [a253301] shortly before they disbanded. From 2005 to 2008, Ray "Bones" Rodriguez was a vocalist with [a435025].

Meanwhile they played in some clubs, museums, cinema rooms and events, in Lisbon, Almada and Setúbal. Search Add 2 Acrid☥Tomb Life Acrid☥Tomb aka just AcridTomb (/ˈαƈɾιԃƚσɱႦ/; born January 15, 2005) is an Instrumentalist based in (Boise, Idaho) who started his music business on December 29th, 2023 while some view it as another Instrumentalist added to the list, Acrid☥Tomb says it is far from that in a post he tweeted on X (Formerly Twitter) on December 29th, 2023 he opened up about his personal life and how he’s had dreams of a tomb since the day he experienced a nightmare earlier that same year over the course of 9 months he stated were 3 dreams which would then lead to 9 songs, resulting in a more concise way for listeners to piece together the dreams through his Instrumentals(9 Songs) he also recalls in his 3rd and final dream that he was walking through the tomb in total darkness stumbling upon rats eating the eyes from a corpse, he later announced the release of Acrid Tomb referencing the song to the first dream he experienced of the tomb, where he transitioned from the nightmare into what would become a recurring dream, in conclusion to this tweet he wrote that he was playing Roblox at the time and it eventually led to him playing throughout the night to try and avoid these dreams he had inside of the tomb. This tweet was later deleted in a few days of posting. On June 26th, 2025 he issued a statement saying that he was leaving the project, a few days before this came out he had issued another statement saying that the Song Titles for Tracks 8 and 9 was a test, and that only he knows the titles, which has since been resolved, clearing any speculations about the last 2 tracks. Miscellaneous Information On August 31st, 2025 he announced on X (Formerly Twitter) that his upcoming film at the time GLOOM (Short 2025) short for “Gloomy Dreams” had been buried on a USB flash drive without a release which he had been working on since day one, in conclusion to this tweet he wrote that “It was never meant to be released.” He later added “End of an Era” with the song Somewhere Only We Know by Keane linked to the post as the end credit song for the film (This can now be found on his Official Website showing how many days it has been buried). Search Add 2 ידין טננבוים ידין טננבוים Yadin, son of Rivka (Solomon) and Zvi Tenenbaum, seventh generation in Israel, was born and raised in Israel. At age 11 he began studying flute with Dr. Uri Teplitz, principal flutist of the Israel Philharmonic. Yadin was a recipient of scholarships from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation and prizes from the Israel Conservatory of Music. Upon his enlistment, Yadin was offered a position in the IDF Orchestra, but chose combat duty instead. On the eve of October 7, 1973, Yadin was stationed near the Suez Canal as a tank gunner. He fell in action at the age of 19, in battle against Egyptian tanks which crossed the canal. Fighting from a tank stuck in the mud with its chains severed, the crew had managed to demolish an Egyptian tank and a bulldozer, and then suffered a direct hit from enemy fire. For his outstanding courage, he was decorated posthumously with the Exemplary Conduct Medal. Yadin, who initially had been announced missing in action, was brought to burial in October 1974. Despite his young age, Yadin left a considerable musical bequest of recordings, including solo and ensemble performances of classical works and more recent music, originally compiled in a recording produced by Hed Artzi in 1975 and released on CD in 2013. The composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein, upon hearing Yadin's biography, wrote the nocturne "Halil" in his memory for solo flute and orchestra featuring strings, percussion, piccolo and alto flute. Since its premiere, in Tel Aviv in May 1981 by the Israel Philharmonic under Bernstein's direction with soloist Jean-Pierre Rampal, the work has been performed by prestigious orchestras and soloists throughout the world. In 2008, in honor of Bernstein's 90th birthday and 50 years of his direction of the New York Philharmonic, it was performed by the Israel Philharmonic conducted by Gustavo Dudamel with Eyal Ein-Habar as soloist in Tel Aviv, New York, and additional cities in the US. On the occasion of the world-wide celebration of the 100th birthday of Leonard Bernstein "Halil" was played in Boston, New York, Mexico, San Paolo, London, Edinburgh, Seville, Hiroshima and Tokyo to name only few. Israel Prize honoree Batia Lichansky created the sculpture "Flutist" in memory of Yadin and in his image. Yadin's memory is also commemorated at the Israel Museum and Yad Vashem in Jerusalem, and at the Eretz Israel Museum in Tel Aviv. Note: background was given to me to be published here, by Ella Koren from www.yadin1973.org.il.

Search Add 2 Братья Абесадзе Six singing brothers from the village of Mukhura in Imereti, Georgia. Notes from their only record - and translation: In the ancient village, which is located behind a steep pass on the edge of Imereti, everyone, if he is not old, was sure to learn from the Abesadze family. At the main house of Zota Alexandrovich or at the sons - Vazha, Mikhail, Ingushi, Gigi, Revaz or Gela. According to a strong family tradition, all Abesadze graduate from a pedagogical institute, and all become teachers ... if music does not take over. Passion for singing is also a family tradition. She made her younger brothers professional musicians: Giga is a choir conductor, Givi (who died in a car accident) graduated from the Tbilisi Conservatory, Gela is a soloist of the Kutaisi Opera. The songs you hear were recorded in Moscow when the brothers were invited to a folklore concert at the All-Union House of Composers. Success on stage was undeniable, but recording in the studio turned out to be a difficult task for folk singers. Neither those who were recording nor the singers themselves were satisfied with the endless takes of the very songs that sounded so impressive in the concert the day before. After several hours of futile efforts, it was necessary to give way to the next team in the big studio, and to give tea to the tired brothers in a small room on the floor above. The performers were upset, but gradually the conversation turned in a different direction: they remembered friends, relatives, and long after midnight in a semi-dark and cramped studio, at two low tables twisted like a Georgian table, a song started slowly, and then louder and more confidently sounded the song. After listening for a while, the sound engineers, without saying a word, began to arrange the microphones. And in half an hour, without any takes and stops, several excellent songs were recorded on the tape. Only a small part of the extensive repertoire of the brothers fit on the disc. And these songs sound only like a modest echo of the generous Imeretian feast, when the whole family gathers at the hospitable table in the spacious parental house - sons, daughters-in-law, children. The singing of adults is replaced by an ensemble of grandchildren, and the songs of Imereti alternate with songs from other parts of Georgia. And if you want to make sure how strong the tradition is and how irreplaceable the role of the folk song in it is, go to Tqibuli, then another fifty kilometres along the mountain road and, after overcoming a steep pass, ask the first person you meet in the village of Mukhuri, where the Abesadzes live - teachers and singers .

Search Add 2 Tony Avitia Tony Avitia started life in the small border town of Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Mexico. As an infant, he was brought to the U.S. by his immigrant parents. His early years were spent in the diverse and creative city of Houston, Texas. Avitia finished a public education and bounced around various gigs after graduating; grocery store clerk, bicycle messenger, and legal services gopher for a well-heeled law firm, before landing on music full time. Throughout the 90s, Avitia‘s boundless work ethic and passion for music helped establish some of Houston’s most revered bands. Punk-rock mainstays 30footFALL, Fenix TX and Slip-Hop legends I-45 all count Avitia as a founding member and all have gone on to critical and commercial success in their respective genres. In addition to an extensive discography, touring with I-45 (Houston Press “Best Hip-Hop” award) included 200-300 shows a year across North America for most of the decade. Often supporting some of the most diverse artists of the era; Linkin Park, At The Drive In, Blink-182, KRS-1, Ice-T and many others. Avitia also established and currently operates indie music label Broken Note Records (Houston Press “Best Label“ Award Winner). Since 1994, the label has released over 60+ albums and compilations featuring bands from all over the globe. The label continues to this day with Marshall Falcon and associated acts as its primary focus. The 2000s came with a move to Southern California to expand the musical reach to new fans and to connect within an American music hub. Avitia would go on to form the self-named space-blues outfit “AVITIA” . He and his band were regular fixtures at the historic venues on the Sunset Strip; The Roxy, The House of Blues, and the iconic Whisky A Go Go. 5 full-length albums (including an album recorded by renowned engineer Steve Albini) and multiple nationwide tours followed. Avitia would achieve a few personal milestones in the decade, including becoming a father, finishing a BA at Cal State and finishing the New York City Marathon. The 2010s ushered in a move to the Pacific Northwest and the founding of short-lived amphibious thrash band The Big Small. After 2 albums, The Big Small disbanded and Avitia went dormant for the rest of the decade. While music writing and recording continued, the decades of live performances had taken an emotional and physical toll. Avitia channeled his energy into hundreds of canvases and became an active and exhibited visual artist. In addition, he opened a recording studio in Eugene, Oregon where he has produced/engineered over 300+ albums for a wide variety of music clients. He also went on to complete an MBA (Management) program at Northwest Christian University. He most recently produced and recorded the latest Marshall Falcon release “Go West Young Man”
