Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Timsears | How does timSEARS (yes, you must spell his name like that) fit into the picture? Well, if you want to play 'seven degrees of separation', then you can go: timSEARS --> Very (partner in rhyme) --> Scarub (did an album with Very) --> Murs (fellow Living Legend) --> Slug (did an EP with Murs) --> Abstract Rude (hosted Slug on his "P.A.I.N.T." album). So with a couple of detours it only takes us five steps to position tim right smack in the middle of the legendary Project Blowed and with that right in the middle of the west's underground oven. But as said: detours, because timSEARS is much closer to the house that the west built, as there's more or less no degree of separation.

Search | Add | 4 | Josef Fidelman | Josef Fidelman | Josef Fidelman was born in Tiflis, Georgia, on February 3, 1905. At the age of five and a half years he made his debut with a piano recital at Baku opera house. With this began the usual explorations of a wonder-child, plus studies at the Tiflis conservatory of music with Lucian Truskowsky, dean of the piano department. During his studies at the conservatory, Josef Fidelman was greatly influenced musically and pianistically by a young teacher, Heinrich Nehaus. In 1921 he toured Turkey for the second time then went to Berlin where he continued his studies at the Berlin Hochschule for Music under Leonid Kreutzer’. Upon graduation in 1929 he participated in the Bluthner International Piano Contest and won first prize. While he lived in Europe he concertized extensively. In 1933 Josef Fidelman settled in the United States of America to become a citizen and to resume his teaching. |

Search | Add | 4 | Analogue Sea Otter | Boris Otterdam, Jericho Von Ebineezer, Basil F. Starbuck , Horror Fox | This project was started by Boris Otterdam and Jericho Von Ebineezer in Perth, Western Australia in March 1998 after the two met in art school at Carine TAFE. Later members included Basil F. Starbuck and Horror Fox. They performed one show at The Hyde Park Hotel in June 2000, supporting the goth/industrial band "Conditions Apply" The band were all known associates to Perth's punk rock scene in the late 90s and early 2000s. At the time the scene was welcoming to noise, experimental music, techno punks, fashionistas, goths and art idealists. This association lead to the collaboration with then close friends and former Bunbury/Perth punk band Trash Ivory in 1999 as noise punk supergroup "Trash Seaotter". All of the recordings made by them though, were lost in the Cheriton St. fire of 1999. A handful of Analogue Sea Otter recordings were reworked, remastered, and released posthumously by Boris Otterdam on Night Terror Recordings and ENDE Records in 2010 and 2019. Talk of a reunion was made in Melbourne in 2008 but is highly unlikely with the four members now living busy lives with scheduling conflicts and geographical distance too great. |

Search | Add | 4 | Planetary Overdrive | Band Members Dan Sturdevant - Guitars / Vocals Natalie Sturdevant - Bass / Vocals Russ Wallace - Keys / Vocals Jarrett Nash - Drums Hometown Louisville, Kentucky Biography Planetary Overdrive formed in March 2016 when husband and wife duo Dan and Natalie Sturdevant wanted to start a Southern Rock band to play the songs Dan had been writing for a few years. They quickly found a drummer (Cam Thomas) and started playing the Louisville club scene. The self titled EP was recorded in fall and winter of ‘16/’17 and released March 2017. It was met with positive reviews by local critics, with John King of 37 Flood remarking, ”The album plays as if Randy Bachman (from Bachman turner Overdrive) recorded an album with Billy Gibbons (of ZZ Top) backed by The Donnas. Which is to say, it is a straight up party record. The first track, Party Weekend, is a testament to Planetary Overdrive's skill at rocking the party.” Shortly after the release of the EP long time friend and collaborator of the band Russ Wallace joined in with his talents on keys and vocals, rounding out the three part harmonies. In June 2018 Planetary Overdrive released their self produced album Boneyard. This album widened PO’s sound, featuring Eli Hall on pedal steel guitar, Travis Stanton on saxophone, and a number of friends lending their voices with background vocals. Boneyard received more favourable reviews, with Scott Recker of LEO saying, “The songs on Boneyard are singular, explosive moments, aimed at slicing into a time and place that is easily relatable, and capable of unlocking memories.” Jake Hellman of the Never Nervous blog declared, “Southern rock is not dead. With their latest release Boneyard, Planetary Overdrive are doing their part to carry on the top down, beer chugging, guitar fueled rock of some of the great classic rock acts like Molly Hatchet and Lynyrd Skynyrd. No need to reinvent the wheel here, just pick up your guitar and shred.” Another line up shift occurred shortly after the release of Boneyard with the departure of Cam Thomas on drums and the arrival of the vastly accomplished and adept Jarrett Nash, picking up the sticks. Planetary Overdrive is currently in their studio working on their next album. The band plans on rocking the party for some time to come!

Search | Add | 4 | Zender Inc / KGB | Zender | Place of Birth: Amsterdam Country: Netherlands Profession: Freelance Graphic Designer, Illustrator, (Spray)Painter and DJ Company: Zender Industries / Zender inc / KGB Bio: At the age of thirteen I started off as a graffiti artist, getting myself involved in the visual process, but as time passed by I began developing my skills and got numerous commercial, illustration- and paint jobs. In 1999 I spray-painted the Singel Studio (37 x 11 meter) together with a friend I met in the Dutch graffiti scene (Delta). During this same period I got involved in a group exhibition called "Post Graffiti, which helped me gain a lot of public attention. By that time I had my mind set up on learning more about graphic design and at the end of the year I went to Los Angeles, were I worked as a trainee at a small design studio were i learned to work with computers and the graphic design process. Back in Amsterdam The Mazzo Nightclub commissioned me to do a mural in their club, i asked an old friend (Christiaan Dros) to help me out. The exhibition became a success, so we decided to start up our own illustration company and called it: "Zender & Chaos". During this period we produced an enormous amount of illustrations and backdrops for the nightlife scene, painted a coffee shop (the Global Chillage) and their nightclub in Spain. We did as well a lot of illustrations for an art agency called Shop Around until Chris and i went our separate ways and I started working as a freelance artist. At first I did a lot of work as a freelance Graphic designer for Boomerang (a company that produces free postcards) which made me understand how the graphic industry works here in Holland. Today i am back working as a freelance graphic designer and with two other freelance artist we began a little company called KGB (Kreativ grapic buro), working for various clients. I am also represented by Artbox a Creative Art Agency. Next to my graphic job i love to play music as a DJ and organize the Rendez-Vous events with the intention to stimulate creativity. The last six years was spent on his own music, but don’t be fooled… Jacques has been a professional musician for the past 28 years, not as a Classical pianist, Artist or Composer, but as studio drummer to some of the most well known Afrikaans singers in South Africa. Some of these artist include Bok van Blerk, Lianie May, Eden, Bobby van Jaarsveld, Steve Hofmeyr, Eden, Ddisselbom, Ray Dylan, Ricus Nel, Gerhard Steyn, Appel, Pieter Koen & Kurt Darren) These represent more than 10 Gold and Platinum selling albums. Some other career highlights include performing with the legendary Cindy Alter (from the sensational 80’s band Clout) Recording a track with American Saxophonist Dave Koz and the Coenie de Villers recording with late Hugh Masekela on trumpet. “I think this is the reason why my music is so rich and diverse, my musical experience has been vast. “I’ve produced Ghoema nominated albums, played so many different genres and carried gear to small clubs for R100 gigs. Challenging yourself is key to survival” Jacques’s critically acclaimed music features on radio in six countries (incl. Polit-rock meets new-wave, as the title of their debut album suggested: spontaneous and anarchistic. Their second Die Sonne Geht Auf was an oddity for the Schneeball label, in that it embraced punk anarchism with gusto, and was not Krautrock at all, but pastiche and almost frighteningly demented.

Carl M Cox is a media savvy writer, designer and record producer with a great entrepreneurial zeal, a shrewd eye for design and sharp ear for a great pop record! Originating from the city of Wolverhampton in the West Midlands, Central England, Carl masterminded Prolific Music Entertainment from being a simple college enterprise project in October 1995 to a burgeoning UK studio, where over the past twenty years clients have included Disney, Virgin, BBC, ITV, Tesco, Pete Waterman, Sony Music, Fox News, Warner Music and many others. In addition to being an A&R (artist and repertoire) executive for Prolific Music, he writes songs and produces music with several influential production partners. Inner City, The Beat, Fine Young Cannibals, Alison Moyet and Ocean Colour Scene are just a handful of artists whose careers John has guided. Grown up in Vordingborg, Denmark, he started playing drums at the age of 6, keyboards at the age of 9, but settled on guitar at the age of 10 when he also formed his first band, The Young Boys. Played with several local bands as leadsinger, guitarist and occasionally bass player and songwriter thru his teens. Formed Dans Moderne with [a4592837], [a13682722] and Flemming Andersen in 1987 and worked with this band as bass player, backing vocalist and songwriter untill its dismiss in 1992. The band released the 7" Kigger På/Love Me Two Times (Roxon Records) in 1990. Keyboard player Niels Odgaard joined the band in 1991. After the break up, the band, minus Andersen, reformed as Swell for a short while with Koch as leadsinger/bassplayer/songwriter untill breaking up in 1993. While working with Dans Moderne, Koch formed C.B. & The Tranquilizers in 1988 as leadsinger/guitarist/songwriter with school friends. With danish guitarist [a979088] drummer [a2181051] and bassist [a2181276], Koch formed [a2030970] with whom he toured and recorded untill the band decided to put itself on hold in 2012. [a2030970] also recorded with [a896392] and became the backing band for danish singer/guitarist/songwriter [a426630] from 2006 untill 2012. In 2007 he provided lead vocals to 'I Hear A New World' as part of the project-studio band The Meekqualizers contribution to the Johnny Stage-produced Joe Meek-tribute album [m3236848]. Search | Add | 4 | Christian Lancry | Chris Lancry, guitar and harp player born in 1951 in Marseille France, started playing guitar at the age of 12. Playing Beatles and Stones songs with various bands, he discovered [a59792] in 1964 and started to play blues and American traditional folk music. In 1970, he went to Paris and started performing at the T.M.S and the American Center. In this famous place, he met [a647077], [a307635], [a1512442], [a1562142], [a663572], [a866971] and later, [a1264961] and [a375023]. [a322731] and [a1318727], two rock’n roll journalists and record producers, noticed him while he was playing on street corners. In 1971, he recorded his first album, in the vein of traditional blues: [r5119915] with other musicians like [a502367], [a1562142] and [a770740] ([a285789] road fellow), Chris played National steel guitar and harp. At the end of 1971, he left France for the United States hoping to see his idols, Big Joe Williams, John Hammond etc.… in Greenwich Village clubs. After returning to France, he started to perform in the budding club and festival circuit. His guitar style is based on both traditional playing and improvisation. After studying Lightnin’ Hopkins, Robert Johnson and different acoustic blues styles, he discovered «White music» by Doc Watson, Merle Travis and Jerry Reed. His playing is a mix of all these influences. Since the Sixties, he has been playing with a plastic thumbpick and two irons fingerpick (index and middle finger). He also plays «Strumming» and «Flat picking». In the best tradition of [a59792], [a692192] or [a1223373], he plays guitar and harp simultaneously (with a rack). In 1998, he was named Best Acoustic Blues Guitarist at the First Edition of the France Blues Awards. He plays at clubs and festivals, and he has released several albums. He also plays with the [a1260768] on their albums and in concerts, playing mainly acoustic slide guitar and harp.

Search | Add | 4 | Kosvocore | Alden MagiX | Alden MagiX is a French Artist. He discovered music as a child thanks to his mother who made him listen to his own vinyl records. At the age of 4 he was constantly dancing to the song "Pop Corn" which made him love electronic music. He started composing at the age of 11. Oscillating between Michael Jackson, Eurodance, he fell in love with the hardcore sound of the Thunderdome compilations. In 1998, he got his first computer and started to work with computer music. Working as a resident DJ in nightclubs and having mixed in clubs, he insists on his anonymity and uses different artist names. The most known are "Kosvocore", "Alden MagiX" and "AlbaTeK". His influences are the beginnings of techno in the 90s. Among others, Marusha, U96, RMB, The Speed Freak, 3 Steps Ahead, Radium and Michael Jackson of course! He has no Facebook page, Twitter, Instagram... everything is shared for free on the internet for the pleasure of his fans. |

Search | Add | 4 | Christs Nails | Christs Nails was a 2-man project, which came about in the late '80ies and from then on gathered at irregular times, producing dark and twisted musical experiments. Based primarily on classical piano (later substituted by keyboards) and vocals, the music has an eerie touch, which is strenghtened by the raw, hoarse, sometimes whispering voices. Throughout the years the bands line-up remained the same. In a way the band still exists, and will actually never cease to exist, even though there have been and will be no new releases after the third demo, dating from 1996. The whereabouts of the bandmembers have always been and remain a mystery. Their only intention ever was to express their innermost dark emotions through their music, and some of this has survived on the 3 demos recorded between 1992 and 1996. Much more was taped, but never released and ultimately destroyed by the band, as the music was never really intended for the public.
