Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Ludwig Wittbrodt | The Duo Ludwig Wittbrodt, that‘s Emily Wittbrodt on cello and Edis Ludwig on laptop and drums. The two develop a thicket of sounds and melodies that absorbs us in a completely unpretentious way and fills us with associations and warmth. Sometimes in the jungle, sometimes under water in the desert, we are reminded of the achievements of both Krautrock and Neue Musik, of early electronic music as well as Drone and Ambient. At first glance, Emily and Edis seem to be an unequal couple. She has an academic background as a cellist, he is self-taught with his main instrument being computer and programming. She is active in Free Jazz, he drums with the rock band Düsseldorf Düsterboys. On the other hand, both have been active in the Free Improv scene in the German Rhine-Ruhr region for years - for example in ensembles such as The Dorf or Hilde (Emily) and Nasssau or Transport (Edis).

Shiver | Through the years, he worked at clubs around the country and soon, he landed a ten-year residency with 'Crown Leisure Corporation', who managed and owned "JJ Whispers" a premier nightclub in Orlando (Florida, USA) that hosted the 'XL106.7 Throw Down' (mix show). About 1986, Kevin befriended several future groups such as Linear and Steve B. and started picking up production tips and equipment. From there he started getting into producing for himself and by 1990 he had his first release (Project 5's "The New Style" and "LSD User"). That group and the subsequent group (see K5) put out records and he learned from those ventures how to properly promote and market his material. |

Search | Add | 3 | Babylon projekt | The Babylon Projekt is an Italian music project duo formed in Summer 2015 by two cousins, Denny Zeta and Ilaria Binatti. Denny is a great music expert and LP collector at 360 degrees since his youth. He learned how to play music by himself. He is also involved in another music project duo, the Bara Foetida, with his cousin Triplax Vermifrux, with whom created about 150 instrumental songs by using different kind of alternative instrument and devices, influenced by music genres like dark wave and psychedelic rock. By the way, the meeting with Ilaria gave him the impulse to form a new music project. Ilaria comes from a more commercial music culture. Since her childhood, she enjoyed writing poems and lyrics. She took music and piano lessons in her youth, but she got tired very soon, because she was more interested in singing rather than in playing, but she was too shy to take singing lessons. She never told anyone about her passion until the meeting with Denny. Thanks to the precious support of their friends, they unified their passion, creativity, talents and efforts, and created the Babylon Projekt. On October 20th 2015 they recorded their first two songs in studio, “Sono un DJ”, released on November 15th, and “Listen to my radio”. Their main music genre is electronic, influenced by genres like reggae, pop, dark, and many others. Their love for music has no boundaries, so they don’t want to follow only one specific genre, and the lyrics of their tracks are in several languages. They estimate the release of their debut album in Spring 2016.

Search | Add | 3 | John Centinaro | John Centinaro is a long time Tampa area song writer and manager who's roots in music go back to the late sixties when he managed several groups. In the early 60's John was the manager of a local record store in Tampa called Ron's Record Shop, located at the Britton Plaza Mall. After a chance meeting with local youth Buddy Good, Centinaro began managing and producing Good's band, The Scopes. John was instrumental in getting there single "She's Got Bad Breath" & "Tears In Your Eyes", issued in the summer of 1967 on the USA label out of Chicago. The song features John and company doing a mersey-ish spoof on the topside, with a decent mid tempo song on the flip side. With his next band, 60's garage Band The Surprize, John managed and produced the band on his own Cent Record label out of Tampa, Florida. The band released there only single [r4928586], before breaking up and three of the members joining Centinaro's next project Mercy. Mercy were an American pop group from Brandon,Florida. They released a hit single hit on Warner Brothers Records titled "Love (Can Make You Happy)" which soared to #2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, and also peaked at #2 on the Adult Contemporary chart. Mercy had one other Billboard Hot 100 hit, the song "Forever", which reached #79 in June 1969. After Mercy, John hooked up with James Marvell & Buddy Good for there next venture as The Country Cavaleers. The Country Cavaleers were an oddity at the time, being Country & Western and yet both members sported long hair. “You’ve got to remember it was right after the movie Easy Rider,” explains Marvell. John was instrumental again in securing a record deal with MGM Records for the duo. John then went to work for Tone Record Distributors, a major record distributor out of Miami. He also worked as a booking agent for Buddy Lee Attractions in Nashville representing the likes of Hank Williams Jr, Willie Nelson, and Frank Sinatra Jr to name but a few. John's many years of experience has given him an in depth knowledge and understanding of the music business.

Search | Add | 3 | Hypnogator | Hypnogator's prog rock inspired rhythms and structures seated in a foundation of hard and classic rock stylings offers a surprising, but oddly familiar crunchy atmosphere. "Relf Kent's guitar lines are rooted in an eclectic fusion of jazz and classic rock with tones fat enough to make you think there are 3 guitarists. Jonathan and Liam in the rhythm section on bass and drums respectively have been playing together since they were kids giving them a seemingly supernatural intuition for each other's timing and texture - opening up a world of progressive rhythms as it were 4/4 child's play. George's vocals are inspired by the likes of Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age, leading to an angry, rhythmic and often times ghostly leading line, bleating anti-government and anti-modern rhetoric." - Quoted directly from Satan himself.
Search | Add | 3 | Batheethyim | Batheethyim began as a Dark Ambient/Experimental project with harsh Black Metal screams and lyrical themes of mythology, evil, anti-christianity, pagan folklore, darkness, depression, black magic/rituals, etc. This style was played on their first 2 tapes, before eventually becoming a fully Black Metal project in the late 90s, adding focus on guitar riffs, blastbeats, etc. although still with Ambient elements in some intro tracks and with many experimental structures and ideas. The albums themes were inspired by The Carpathian Forest of Wallachia, and was entirely recorded under the full moon, being recorded throughout the full moons of thee months during the Winter of 1998/1999. This would be their full-length debut and also their final release. Before Batheethyim, sole-member James Barbuto had another project where he combined Dark Ambient with the vocals and themes of Death Metal and Doom/Death, called [a=Blood Mercifier].

Search | Add | 3 | The Kapp Ivory Project | Kapp and Rachel met in Detroit in 1989 not long after Kapp came back from touring with The Winans and Rachel was still doing track dates with Kiara, an Arista recording artist. Kapp and Rachel started recording in various studios around the city trying to develop their own unique sound, but then decided to establish their own studio for greater consistency and accessibility. In the early 1990's, Rachel topped the state and performed on Star Search with Ed McMahon, where she reached the semi-finals. In the meantime, Kapp was working with people like Motown writer Barrett Strong and Parliament/ Funkadelic founding member Calvin Simon, both Rock & Roll Hall of Famers. They also teamed with a Detroit radio station personality and created the theme song for the Detroit Pistons at the time of their N.B.A. championship. They then collaborated with legendary techno-house DJ Kevin Saunderson, from Virgin Records recording artist Inner City, on The Reese Project. The first single Direct Me (Giant Records/Warner), featuring Rachel, went #1 for six weeks on the U.K. Billboard charts. The second single, Colour of Love (Giant Records/Warner), also featuring Rachel, went #3 for four weeks on the U.K. charts, as the full CD Faith, Hope & Clarity (Giant Records/Warner) was released. During the later 1990's, Kapp and Rachel produced and collaborated with a number of artists, including R&B, Jazz, Hip Hop, Gospel, Rap, Classical, and Country. In 1999, Kapp teamed with Kern Brantley from Crazy Joint (Bad Boy Records) and produced Lighthouse for the gospel choir New Direction on Word Records/Sony. Family Unit was formed later that year, developing a strong local Detroit following and a library of unreleased studio recordings. Since then, Kapp and Rachel's production work has been in constant demand, with Kapp's contributions on Put Your Hands Up In the Air (Westbound, 2001) by the Original P (Parliament/Funkadelic) being his most recent hit effort.

Search | Add | 3 | Stephen Rey | American singer/songwriter, guitarist and bassist. Works mostly in the Americana/roots genre, his music blending elements of rock & roll, blues, country, honky tonk, and southern swamp. Has played with a number of artists as well as fronting his own acts and releasing works under his own name and as Stephen El Rey. Stephen Rey was born in Victorville, California. When he was three his family moved to San Diego, where he grew up mostly in the suburb of Lakeside. He attributes much of his musical influence to time spent on his grandparents' ranch in El Centro. He got into punk rock, started playing in bands at age fourteen, and at seventeen spent time busking in San Francisco and Berkeley. After some demo recordings funded by major labels, in 1998 he obtained a publishing deal with Warner Chappell as a songwriter; some of his songs appeared in movies and documentaries. However, he put this venture aside to focus on his growing family. In the 2000s he began performing as a side man in local San Diego acts, playing bass in Operator X and Lady Dottie & The Diamonds. He fronted his own group, Stephen Rey & The Slicks, with drummer Brian Cantrell (Operator X, Lady Dottie & The Diamonds), guitarist Mike Butler, and bassist Ryan Sinn (ex-[a=The Distillers] and [a=Angels & Airwaves]). They released the album Old Fashioned Future in 2011. The following year he put together a stripped-down version of this act called Stephen Rey And The Sextrash, with Nathan Beale (Lady Dottie & The Diamonds, ex-[a=Dirty Sweet]) on guitar and Tim Lowman ([a=Low Volts]) on percussion. Over the next few years he played bass with [a=Bartender's Bible], [a=Mad Juana], [a=Diablo Dimes], [a=John Reis], [a=El Vez], [a=The Schizophonics], and [a=The Little Richards]. Joining the Johnny Cash tribute band Cash’d Out, he began playing original material as an opening act on tour. This led him to record and release music under the name Stephen El Rey, including the self-released Stephen El Rey Sextet EP, (2016), the Poor Born EP (2017, on Pig Baby Records), and the Memphis Sessions LP (2019, Pig Baby), along with several digital singles. In 2020 he formed the avant-garde "21st century duet" Tormenta Rey with [a=Leilainia Marcus] (aka Leilainia Lovelight), in which they perform original compositions and obscure songs from the 1920s and 1930s, with Rey playing guitar and singing and Lovelight playing trumpet and performing theatrical dance.
