Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Wired Masses | Wired Masses was a Detroit based rock band from 1992-2002. Wired Masses was formed in 1992 as an all original rock project. Combining the sounds from classic rock, blues, funk and pop, each song is a heartfelt force of its own, and was an example of the group's growth and inspiration. In the era of "metal hip-hop" and over-commercialized R&B, Wired Masses went their own direction. They brought back the showmanship that rock once purveyed. Wired Masses has released four albums of all original material. The first was a four song e.p. released in 1992. The second, an eclectic variation, was a full-length album titled "Buy Some Soul" (1994). The third, "Automatic Human Jukebox" (1996), was the first to actually capture the band's true essence. The fourth self titled release (2000) was a realization of the band's musical intentions. That plan was to tear down the wall between Rock and Soul. Each album showed the skill and growth of the band.

Search | Add | 3 | Linda Lou McCall | Linda Lou McCall | Linda Lou's career spans almost 4 decades, starting as a photography and publicist, and now as a songwriter & music industry consultant specializing in entertainment marketing, street promotion, and artist development. She has worked with veterans like The Delfonics and Con Funk Shun to contemporary artists like MC Hammer and Eminem. While with Con Funk Shun, she designed album covers, created album concepts, served as the production assistant on their albums, and co-wrote songs for the band like "California 1", "Bad Lady", "Honey Wild", "Promise You Love", and "I Think I Found The Answer". She went on to be a VP with rap megastar MC Hammer from 1990 to 1992. In 1992, Linda Lou formed The Entertainment Qartel, Inc, (EQartel), specializing in music business administration, entertainment marketing and street promotion. She relocated from North Hollywood to Atlanta in 1994 and quickly built up a solid client base with artists like OutKast, Goodie Mob, Notorious B.I.G., Puff Daddy, T.L.C., Jay-Z, Will Smith, Three-6 Mafia, Tupac, Faith Evans, and 112. As a member of the first Interscope Records Street Team, her Atlanta-based Rhyme Scene Unit Street Marketing Task Force was instrumental in the success of the debut albums of Eminem, Mya, and the Black Eyed Peas. Linda Lou was the wife of Con Funk Shun co-founder & drummer, Louis A. McCall, whom she met while they both worked at Stax Records in the mid 1970's. Louis was killed in a home invasion robbery in 1997. Linda Lou spent the next decade fighting to keep Louis' case from going cold, even persuading the Governor of Georgia to reopen the case in 2003. Her hard work finally paid off - on January 18, 2007, a Dekalb County, GA grand jury indicted a suspect on a felony murder charge. The case went to trial on July 21, 2008. However, due to problems with the state's case, the judge declared a mistrial just hours after the jury began deliberation. Linda Lou asked that the defendant not be retried so that she and her children could get on with their lives. Linda Lou excepts select consulting projects through her company Exxtra Foxx Music, LLC, the music publishing company that she's owned since 1981. In her spare time, Linda Lou volunteers as a consumer protection activist and lupus awareness advocate. She been a voting member of The Recording Academy ("The Grammy Awards") since 1977. The songs that she wrote for Con Funk Shun continue to be in demand. "Honey Wild", recorded by Con Funk Shun in 1980, was recently sampled for "Kush" by rapper Lil Wayne on his top-selling album, "Tha Carter III", released in June 2008. Along with partner Ruben L. Harper and her son Louis A. McCall II, she heads up a team of producer/songwriters. She has recently expanded the services of Exxtra Foxx Music to include consulting in song publishing and sample clearances. One of Linda Lou's photographs taken of the legendary R&B trio The Delfonics is included in the Smithsonian Institute's exhibition "Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing: How the Apollo Theater Shaped American Entertainment" at the National Museum of African-American History & Culture, currently in Washington, DC through August 2011, and touring the country until 2012. |

Search | Add | 3 | Ghost Against Ghost | Christopher Bono | Ghost Against Ghost is the post-everything electronic-rock concept and moniker of producer/composer Christopher Bono. Inspired by conceptual, progressive, post and psychedelic rock; art-rock; ambient, experimental, classical music (contemporary and common-practice); the anarchic concepts of late Leo Tolstoy; dystopian epics; and neo-romanticism, Bono founded Ghost Against Ghost in 2008 after he began work on an as yet unfinished two-hour concept album that he envisioned in a dream one night in Brooklyn. To bring the vision to life, Bono assembled a group of electro-acoustic musicians and began performing in New York City & Brooklyn. Within a short time, Ghost Against Ghost became known for their long, multi-media shows featuring “song-oriented-but-stylistically-out-there” forms alternated with open noise, electronic and ambient improvisations. As Bono began preparations for the first Ghost Against Ghost album in 2008, he became increasingly unsatisfied with the infant sound of Ghost Against Ghost. Haunted by continuous visions and auditory hallucinations that demanded he dig deeper, Bono was driven into seven years of near-hermetic isolation as he struggled to develop the technical foundation necessary to bring forth these internal messages.Compelled by the cacophony within, Bono began imagining a sonic landscape different from anything he had encountered. This journey led him to unexpectedly study classical music at the late and unusual age of 27 in search of answers. “I could see the sounds, like a massive and extraordinarily complex piece of architecture, or some sort of alien, psychic sculpture, but I did not know how to realize it technically. … Until I heard Stravinsky.” -Bono Under the tutelage of classical composers such as Stravinsky and Bach and various contemporary composers, Bono began to find answers to the riddle of the Ghost Against Ghost sound.; Over the course of 5 years, Bono released two full classical albums and an EP to critical acclaim. Between these projects, commissions, and commitments, Bono secretly chiseled away on the Ghost Against Ghost material. Finally, after finishing his last album, BARDO, Bono was once more ready to devote his full attention to the insistent call of Ghost Against Ghost. After years of searching and study in isolation within the classical and experimental music fields, Bono had discovered the melodic and rhythmic movement, structure and development he needed to understand to implement Ghost Against Ghost in a current context; the result is an interwoven, wild, sonic tapestry, fused by his knowledge of modern studio production, mixing, engineering and electronics. The first official Ghost Against Ghost release was the epic 15 min work, Checkpoint Charlie. The album was accompanied by an award winning music video by film maker Craig Murray.See it HERE. The first full length Ghost Against Ghost album, still love was released in April, 2017. The album received positive reception including: "Cathartic soul-bearing space prog masterwork." -- Prog Magazine "Still Love is a mighty work of art that juxtaposes pop-sensitivity with an intense listening experience." - Arctic Drones “Evokes a wide array of inspirations to create a vast and intense field of sounds. Bono constructs a darkly spiritual aura in this post-rock inspired composition." -Stereogum "Ghost Against Ghost's New Song "Resume" Is A Slow-Moving, Cinematic Destroyer" -Metal Injection The track Unarm from the still love album also was accompanied by a music video by the visionary film maker Craig Murray. In 2018 a new single Todeserfahrung was released. Currently, Christopher is back in the studio working on a new conceptual Ghost Against Ghost album slated for a 2020 release. |

Search | Add | 3 | Galerie Lochte | Galerie Lochte has been the project of the producer team Schwartau and Angelo Vitalo. Another important Harburg 1980 duo that began with compositions on the famous Casio VL-1, before they switched to the Korg MS-20 (but they didn't forget the VL-1). In the early days they had dark lyrics which they sang in an ironical easy way. Later on they had their synth pop hit "Sie war der Frühling".

Search | Add | 3 | Exit Safe Mode | Margus Löve | Margus Löve has been a well known name to darktronica scientists over the years. The solo artist’s starting point after the change of millennium became the technoid end of drum&bass with the bubbling bass waves of speed garage and Löve’s style became substantially directed by dubstep that gained ground at the start of the 2000s. The name L-OW successfully propagated the bass-loving vibe at the prime time of dubstep, and in the background the dub-techno-esque parallel project 1DERL& got more and more off the ground. Founding of the label Processed in 2012 and the release of 1DERL&’s debut album became a spiritual turning point – the allure of the sounds of dubstep shifted to the background and darker soundscapes found a new home in cooler techno trances. Margus Löve has moved still deeper in the swamp of sounds with his new project Exit Safe Mode that is striving to cut through the safety nets and broaden the palette of sounds. The sounds are complemented by darker ambiences and rhythmic skeletons, while staying essentially loyal to the pulsating force of techno. It’s time to discover the shady territories beyond the untrodden tracks. |

Search | Add | 3 | Kulturní Úderka | Kulturní Úderka was founded in the 1990s. After Eda Ondráček left, Štěpán Dokoupil took up the singing and in 2003 released their debut album Rock’s Groove (Indies). At this time, the band established itself as a band that transitioned into the blues genre. The following years brought a lackluster period when the band was looking for energy and basically went through a creative crisis. The new era began in 2018 with the arrival of the Bosnian pianist Omer Blentić (Sarajevo Philharmonic). And since the bass player Mojmir Sabolovich stayed in Sarajevo for a long time, there was a comeback called Sarajevská Katarzija (Indies Happy Trails Records 2018). It kickstarted the band again, and the creative energy gave rise to the album Black Metall. Kulturní Úderka is again based in Brno, although it still goes to record in its favorite studio in Sarajevo. Currently, after the arrival of the drummer Lubomir Eremiáš and second guitarist Vladimír Sabolovič, the band has expanded the line-up and consolidated its classic groove.
