Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 10 | Baby Gar Figuer | Baby GAR Figuer | Baby GAR Figuer started his journey in music when he was attending elementary school in Charleston, SC. They had Teachers Work Day or something similar to that when a few workers stopped by at the auditorium. There were police officers, firemen, and a few others. He seen someone with a violin in their hand. So, he went up to that person and long story short, he started learning how to play. From that he graduated to middle school and he got good grades in all subjects but, he was doing his best in band class, that's when he learned how to play the trombone and percussion. When he graduated from there he went off to high school and taught his self to play the piano by ear, producing music, writing and recording just to name a few. And, there you have it. That's the introductory story of how Baby GAR Figuer got started in music. |

| Search | Add | 10 | The B.B.C. Wireless Military Band | The B.B.C Wireless Military Band, later renamed the B.B.C Military Band ran from September 1927 until 1943, with a repertoire largely made up of orchestral works. It had a staff arranger Gerrard Williams and was conducted by Walton O'Donnell, succeeded in 1937 by his brother, Major P.S.G. O'Donnell. ( It is possible that this change of conductor led to the dropping of the word Wireless from the band name) The band proved immensely popular and had original pieces written for it by, amongst others, Alan Bush and Gustav Holst. The B.B.C decided to axe the band in the 1940s and despite much protests it gave its final performance at 9.40 pm on Tuesday, 16 March 1943. | |

| Search | Add | 10 | The Amplified Version | This early Jesus movement band is remembered for its album Whatcha Gonna Do? which revealed their indebtedness to producer Gary S.Paxton. Their sound was distinctive in its use of brass (seven horns), recalling such early-’70s outfits as Chicago or Blood, Sweat, and Tears. Two Paxton songs received a lot of attention: "Jesus Is My Lawyer in Heaven" and "Jesus Keeps Takin' Me Higher and Higher." These and the title song constitute the album's high-energy numbers. Another Paxton song, "The Gadget Man," is noteworthy for its complex and original structure. (keyboard), Bruce Hibbard (vocals, guitar), Jorge Marsal (percussion), and Shirley [Monroe] Marsal (vocals) were also members of the group at some point. According to Marv Goldberg's essay on the group he was fired after they did some dates at the Golden Hotel in Las Vegas around spring 1958. It looks as if he abandoned his singing career to work in promotion - he was appointed the R&B promotion manager for [l59627] in June 1967 but didn't last long there as he was working for [l46437] by early 1968. He was one of the promotion men for [l34533] in 1970 then moved back to New York in 1971 to work at the short-lived New York Sound label. In January '72 he was working for [a202256]'s [l19965] label as their promotion man for the East Coast and later, in 1976, was made R&B promotion manager for the [l1060] presumably working on the [a136273] and [a693150]. It is doubted that lasted very long as the US London label was on its last legs by that time. The trail goes cold after 1976. It's guessed he long since retired from the music business. | |

| Search | Add | 10 | نعيمة المصرية | زينب محمد إدريس | Na'ima al-Misriyya [Naima the Egyptian] (1894 in Cairo - 1976) was an Egyptian singer, also called "The Queen of Records." Na'ima was married at age 15 and became a mother at 16. Her dream was, however, to make a career as a singer. With the help of a Syrian neighbor, she fled to Aleppo in Northern Syria in 1911. There, she trained with the singer Rahlo Jarada (رحلو جرادة) and began singing professionally. In 1914, she returned to Cairo and became a huge star. [a=Sayed Darwish] taught her to play the oud and wrote numerous hit songs for her. In 1922, she opened her own night club, Theatre Al-Hambra. Na'ima sang both patriotic and love songs. She recorded more than 150 titles for labels such as [l=Baidaphon], [l=Fabrik Setrak Mechian Caire], [l=Homochord], [l=Odeon], [l=Pathé], and [l=Polyphon Musik] and became known as "The Queen of Records." The birth of Egyptian radio in 1934 and the censorship it introduced brought Na'ima's career to a halt. Her more risqué love songs were no longer tolerated. She retired from singing in 1937, at age 43. |

| Search | Add | 10 | Professor Moses Hadas | Although he was known as a quiet, even shy man, Moses Hadas made his presence felt at the College as a prolific scholar and as one of the College's truly great teachers. A classicist by training, he began teaching as an instructor in the General Honors course in 1925, and except for brief service in the Office of Strategic Services during World War II, he stayed at Columbia for the rest of his career, remaining one of the College's most sought-after teachers until his death in 1966. Born in Atlanta, Hadas received his bachelor's degree from Emory University in 1922, and came to Columbia to do advanced work in Greek and Latin literature. Even as his own academic accomplishments mounted, Hadas continued to embrace undergraduate education. After teaching General Honors, he taught the Colloquium on Important Books; he was one of the original teachers of Humanities A and continued to teach it for years. It was said of Hadas that he "always had enough time to discuss anything of humane interest with the demanding young." Early on Hadas won recognition as a gifted scholar, not only of Greek and Latin, but also of Hebrew and Arabic. A colleague once remarked that Hadas knew most classical authors "as if he had just met them at a faculty meeting." Among his distinguished books on classical culture were A History of Greek Literature (1950) and Humanism: The Greek Ideal and Its Survival (1960); he translated Greek, Latin, and Hebrew texts; and he edited many other volumes. | |

| Search | Add | 10 | Dil-E-Nadan | Dil-E-Nada is a decades-old band which has had a rotating membership over the years. Sangeeta D'Songstar of Chutneymusic dot com provides a brief hstory of the band: "Dil e nadan was formed in 1957 by the late Usaf Khan and Ramnarine Moonilal. Dil e nadan won the Prime Minister’s Trophy for best indian orchestration which was judged by the late great Mohammed Rafi 1962. The band enjoyed a lot of success in the years to follow and dominated the local indian industry. In the 80’s the band toured mainly Canada,Guyana and Suriname and boasted the best local singers the country had at the time. (Nazimool and Ruby, Ras Nancoo). In the mid 80’s Ramnarine’s two sons Rennie and Raymond joined the group as percussionists then moving on to trumpets, and then Guitars and Keyboards. With the push from then manager Haseeb Majid ,Raymond started his career as a lead singer. He entered the national duet singing competition with Swarsati Maraj in 1989 and won first place. This proved to be the start of the rise of the Indian Culture among the youths in Trinidad and Tobago. The next year (1990) Raymond entered Mastana Bahar where he placed Second in the grand finals (a result which still has unanswered questions). Rennie the eldest of the brothers also sang in the finals. That same year the youngest of the brothers Richard joined the band as a Tabla and Dholak player. The band did their first show in New York in 1993 at York College in Queens. (the show was sold out 1 week in advance) Then in 1996 the band was signed to Soca Paradise (Ramesh Singh) and released there first C.D. People’s Choice. The success seemed to have just started as the band became the first band to tour Holland and Spain in 1997. In 1999 Richard became the youngest manager in Trinidad at only 19. Soon after dil e nadan became the first chutney group to perform at the world renowned Brass Festival and Youth fest. Dil e nadan holds the record for the most awards at the 103fm awards show (24).The band is currently sponsored by Bmobile and Stag. Dil e nadan recently signed a Five year deal in Holland with Bollywood LTD for performances in Europe." | |

Although 3 Minutes has disbanded after only one single the door was open at Rocket for more solo releases in 1981. | |

| Search | Add | 9 | Cobla Contemporània | Translated from the band's internet site: "In 1995, excited and eager to make new and different contributions, we created the cobla*) Contemporània. During this time, the Contemporània has developed a totally innovative way of making music (...). The live performances are characterised by the approach of a very diverse and heterogeneous public, from the children who are afraid of confetti, mothers and fathers, sardana lovers, the curious... Without a doubt, the Contemporània's "Sardaxou" leaves no one indifferent. "Sardaxou" is to make the sardana a party. Members and collaborators of the Contemporània take the best-known musical scores, arrange them to the rhythm and tempo characteristic of the sardana and perform them with the most unique instruments in the country." For example, there are Sardana-versions of well-known film music or the Radetzky March. *) A cobla is a Sardanes orchestra, consisting of 11 people with 10 wind instruments and one bass. Since the 1980s female musicians are also allowed in the coblas. Sardana (pl. Sardanes) is a Catalan musical genre typical of Catalan culture and danced in circle. | |
