Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 10 | Heady Brew | Nashville, Tennessee Formed in 2004, Heady Brew reunited three lifelong friends from a small, sleepy town in south Alabama whose devotion to music culminated in a single purpose: to create a distinct and original form of music drawn from similar and sometimes diverse influences and experiences. The members of Heady Brew have been making music together in one incarnation or combination or another since their teens. Although they’ve traveled many directions geographically and sometimes musically, the common thread has always been the desire to create something original, along with the devotion to the idea of the power of the song. Based in Nashville, TN… Heady Brew is a rock ‘n’ roll band infused with elements of country, and blues. They move with ease from one genre to the next… weaving them together to create a sound distinctly their own.

Search | Add | 10 | T. O. Ampomah | Thomas Osei Ampoumah | Thomas Osei "Jazz" Ampoumah, Dr. T.O. Jazz or "T.O." Ampomah, a Ghanaian Music Legend in traditional Highlife and Palmwine Music. T.O. Ampoumah comes from the town of Obomeng in the mountainous Akan Kwahu region between Accra and Kumasi. Born in 1932 he started learning guitar when he was fifteen years old in the town of Nkawkaw. T.O began playing in public with friends in 1950 when he was just eighteen years old. He formed his Ampoumah’s guitar band Mpraeso in 1952 with Kwabena Amoah (vocals), Kwaku Gyima (second guitar) and Edmond Kye (congas). T.O. made his his first recordings with a Ghana Broadcasting mobile van unit in 1954 and then with the UAC (United Africa Company) that had a small recording studio in Accra. In those days he was paid eight pounds per recording (i.e. two songs) In 1957/58 his guitar band was on tour in Burkina Faso (then called Upper Volta) where he met the Congolese band the Bantus Africana – who invited T.O. and his three musicians to Zaire where they played highlife numbers for the Bantus who were fascinated by this music but could not play it. The Bantus in turn taught the Ghanaians to play local lingala rumbas, chachacha’s, meringues, pachanga and boleros T.O. also met Franco the leader of Zaire’s top band O.K. and so changed the name of his Ampoumah’s guitar band to ‘T.O. Jazz’. When T.O. Jazz returned to Ghana in 1961 they introduced the chachacha to the country. Back in Ghana he set the newly named T.O. Jazz band that specialized in highlifes and Akan renditions of the rumba. It was with this band that T.O. recorded in 1968 the hit song ‘Aware Bone Asu Manim Ase’ (Bad Marriage Has Disgraced Me) that was released as a 45 RPM on the Phillips label. For this T.O. (together with Victor Uwaifo of Nigeria) was awarded in 1970 the first Phillips West African Golden Discs – and went to record a total of 127 songs. So by the mid 70’s T.O. Jazz was a household name in Ghana. In 1996 T.O. began teaching ‘palmwine highlife’ at the Music Department of the University of Ghana, where he also played and sang with John Collins' Local Dimension Band. T.O died after a short illness in 2001. |

Jones also managed several gospel music groups in later years, including The Jones Gospel Singers, which was comprised of his family members. |

Search | Add | 10 | Rye Town's Creatures | Rye Town's Creatures (sometimes referred to as Rye Town Coven and abbreviated to RTC) are a gothic rap, rap metal and horrorcore group originally from UK, England and consisted primarily of Memorex and Wes Cooper (though usually under their alter-ego's Ajax and Wayne InSane), but has since changed line-up several times, and is no longer a strictly an English only group. The band was formed on the 06/06/06 and that fact was often used in their albums marketing. They released several EP's and a few LP's in their time being active, and went through many changes when one of their later band members who joined in 2008, SirT, died from suicide in 2010. They released their final album in 2012, "Return To Rye", which was like a six year anniversary album and featured re-imaginings of their most classic tracks. It was around this time that Taurean J joined the group but no recording was ever completed. Since then, the RTC have been on and off active up until 2016 when they tried to reform with a new lineup of Memorex, HatchetHead, Taurean J and Juztin Sane, but it fell through. In late 2022, they reformed. Currently consisting of Memorex and Taurean J they released the first new RTC single in 10 years on the 17th October 2022 "Water Tower High" and will be releasing a new album "Banquet Of Witches" (TBC).

Search | Add | 10 | Svida | Swedish Techno/House producer duo formed in 2011. Svida is the result of a chance meeting during a legendary club night in Stockholm more than ten years ago. From that point on a friendship was born, but it wasn’t until a year ago that the duo decided to start creating music together. With influences ranging from the early days of soul to the outskirts of electronica it might be hard to predict where this duo will are heading and what Svida will be all about. What is certain though is that they are trying to fill in the missing gaps between jacking house and bouncy techno. Individually they search for that special groove which drives the duo together and makes them a perfect match. Martin Halinowski and Calle Dernulf have different skills but share the same passion for the common good; bringing great grooves to all mankind!

After Jeff managing to miss his first gig with the band, he was let go. Soon after, Dave Garrett left as his commitments to [a5191967] and other projects were taking a toll. After a long hiatus, [a7281256] joined the band. A drummer was found soon after in Ian Kruske, but he was unable to commit fully to the project and was let go. It wasn't long after that [a669178] joined as a permanent fixture. This configuration lasted a couple of years until Pete Grothy's cancer diagnosis and untimely death soon after. Devastated, the band broke up completely and Ryan moved to San Francisco.

Search | Add | 9 | Godfrey Kerr | US songwriter, producer, label owner ([l=Gee Kay Records], [l=Kay Gee Records], [l=Cal Omen]), as well as the owner of reissue labels [l=Blast Back Records] and [l=Flashback Records (10)]. Godfrey Kerr (born September 10, 1942 in Dublin ) an Irish-American radio presenter who made outstanding contributions to the Chicano rock from Los Angeles in the 1960s . Godfrey Kerr enjoyed traditional American pop as sung by Theresa Brewer and Guy Mitchell while growing up in Ireland . After emigrating to Culver City , California with his family in 1954 , he expanded his musical taste to include rhythm and blues . As a temporary worker in a record shop, he also began to be interested in jazz . After high school, Kerr started working full-time in the music business: he managed several smaller record labels, opened a mail order business for oldie records and organised dance and show events as a promoter and MC . For this he regularly booked leading bands of Chicano Rock between 1964 and 1968, including Thee Midniters who had a home game in the event halls of Barrio , East Side of Los Angeles. In addition, there were also interpreters of R&B such as Johnny Guitar Watson or Brenda Holloway . But Kerr was best known as a radio host and DJ under his first name Godfrey. Since 1964 he has often represented Dick “Huggyboy” Hugg on the broadcasters KRLA and KALI, the most important DJ for Chicano Rock alongside Art Laboe , thus inheriting the particularly loyal audience of the Mexican population of the metropolis. Godfrey soon moved to KTYM, where he hosted a weekday show playing Chicano rock and R&B ballads. In the mid-1960s, the simple sound of garage rock and surf rock were popular in California . Godfrey therefore tried his hand at being a musician knowing his limited singing talent. With Thee Midniters, he released a single on Whittier Records entitled Down Whittier Blvd. sang a central cruising stretch of the Barrios and which is a successor to the song Whittier Blvd. from the Midniters. His second single, The Trip, was a cover piece by Kim Fowley , which is an unequivocal tribute to the use of LSDand was therefore rewritten to a summer hit after public protest by the defused version Let's Take a Trip . Both versions were released on John Marascalco's small label Cee-Jam Records . Marascalco also granted Godfrey co-author credits for his own pieces like Something Like Mr. C by the Young Lions or named him as supervisor on Frankie Olvera's version of Huggie's Bunnies in the hope that Godfrey would thereby promote the tracks more on the radio. Godfrey also brought out four compilation LPs on which he put together obscure performers and their songs and presented them in the Godfrey Presents ... series. Godfrey stayed with KTYM until 1968, when the solid core of the Chicano movement at that time began to disintegrate, thus dwindling his audience and the number of visitors to his dance events. After a brief return to radio in the 1970s, Kerr started working in record distribution.
