Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025

Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

[a=Poltageist] as Andy Pimpkin, an adaption of the comedy series Little Britain. The music of the W8 Watch Uz is a crazy mixture of Hip Hop / House / Techno / Electronic / 80s Synthi Pop. Search Add 2 Sonoma Valley Chorale The Sonoma Valley Chorale got its start in 1973, when choral director James Griewe drew together 96 singers from various choirs he’d been leading for performances at St. Francis Church. The St. Francis concerts were a hit and the group’s ranks began to balloon. When membership hit 160 in 1975, they moved performances to the Sonoma Valley Veterans Memorial Building. At the group’s zenith in the late 1980s, it topped 200 members and was attracting such special guest performers as renowned Black spiritual composer Jester Hairston; composer Gwyneth Walker, who wrote an original work for the Chorale; and Maya Angelou, who narrated “Jonathan Livingston Seagull” with the group.

Search Add 2 Ryan Michael Vego Ryan Michael Vego Musician and artist from Seattle, Washington, Ryan Michael Vego was a prolific artist, and played in several bands including [a= Sister Psychic]. Vego fronted his own band as well as playing drums in the alternative rock group Sister Psychic from around 1991 to 1994. He worked on [m=1466813] and [m=629381], before leaving, somewhere presumably in 95' or 96' as being replaced or not involved as much with Sister Psychic In 2021, to mourn his still very affecting loss, there was a bandcamp put up, showing off a re-release of [r=26850992]. It was an album release completed just months before he took his life. This is where [a=Andy Davenhall] would pick up after his songs in 2000-2002, for his tribute band to Sister Psychic & Vego, [a=The Lawnmowers (4)]. Ryan suffered from Crohn's disease, alcoholism and depression. He lost his courageous battle with his demons in March 2000. Born on November 17, 1967 and died in Seattle on March 20, 2000, age 32, by 2023, he would be 53. Rest in Peace, Ryan Vego.

Search Add 2 CommsBreakdown Steve Ash CommsBreakdown is Steve Ash, a British music producer and composer now based in New South Wales Australia. Steve has been involved in music since an early age and was part of the Black Dog Productions crew in the early noughties. He contributed several tracks to The Black Dog’s ‘Unsavoury Products’ album, as well as remixing tracks for Elbow, A Guy Called Gerald, U2 and Hanson. He records a mix of instrumental electronica, downtempo beats, ambient soundscapes, techno and drum & bass from his home studio in The Southern Highlands, NSW. CommsBreakdown’s sound always had a melodic focus, mixing synth hooks and ambient washes with intricate programmed rhythms and beats. As well as playing keyboards and programming electronic sounds, Steve also plays guitar and bass, occasionally adding these textures to his compositions to add a human feel.

Their beginnings go back to 2014, when they both decided to join forces and experience as well and share their passion towards electronic music with the rest of the world. They are known for their unique style and energetic sets. They produce their own original music and are strongly headed towards fulfilling their goal, (as the name itself says it) - to become true reformists in the process of spreading the ''literacy'', which in this case would mean to raise awareness and acceptance of this kind of music in the area. They released a remix on Sara Mace’s song-Denot da e ubav (A day to be beautiful) , that they gave a new dimension to her single and they released a remix for Cyrillic ft. Lambe & Bube - Koga Sonce Gree Placam (Remix),Donplaya - Nogu Kucki Musli Jadat (Cyrillic & H$P Remix) and Bang La Decks – Zouka (Cyrillic Remix). Also they are working on some new tracks, soon to be expected.
