Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Sam Sitarasa | Samuel J. Dass | Samuel J. Dass, or Sam as he is fondly known in the music circle, was born on the 16th of March, and started his love affair with the Sitar at the tender age of 7. His first guru was his father, Mr. Jabamalai Dass, who drilled in him the basics of sitar playing. He then joined The Temple of fine Arts Malaysia, where he learnt the finer nuances of this traditional art-form from Mr. Maheswaran Orme. At the same time he also sought the guidance of Giani Bachitar Singh, who inculcated in him the characteristics of the various Hindustani Raagas. He also underwent training from Mr. Raj Kumar Sharma and Professor Haridev of Chandighar University under whom he was able to obtain the ‘Sageeth Bushan’ which is equivalent to a senior diploma in music. In the year 2002, Sam had the good fortune to study the finer intricacies of the sitar under the world renowned sitar maestro Ustad Shahid Parvez in Pune ,India. He was under Shahidji’s guidance for 7 months and his talent was acknowledged by the senior musician himself. Sam has been proclaimed as one of our times most exciting sitar players and has left audiences around the world mesmerized by his style of ‘gayaki ang’, meaning literally “to ‘play as though sung”. He has done much for Hindustani music in Malaysia, infusing both classical and contemporary genres in sitar recitals and coming out with inventive & creative albums. Sam has an uncanny ability to bring alive the subtle nuances and melodic beauty hidden in the soaring notes of the ragas in elegant and even cheeky interpretations. Imbibed with catholicity and flair, his style, although traditional in nature, has an artistic intelligence geared to the refinements and sophistication needed in the modern world. Defining Sam as a sitarist would be of great disservice to an individual who has added immensely to the expansion of Indian music in Malaysia. He has been performing since he was a teenager and has strove to introduce music genres that were quite alien to the masses. Over a decade ago, he initiated ghazal (light classical music native to northern India) and taught himself to play the santoor (hammered dulcimer) into concert halls here. During this journey, he became the first Malaysian musician to turn away from classical Indian group music recitals and opted for instrumental solo concerts in Malaysia. As a composer, Sam has released 7 albums to date. They are Sitarasa, Sitarasa Nostalgia, Vrajalila, Biography of Swami Sivananda, Vidiyal, Raga Moods and Prana The two honours that he was awarded at the Cameronian Arts Awards 2004 – for the best original composition and best solo performance categories under his band Prana – is a belated recognition much deserved. Sam has had the good fortune of playing with some of the top musicians in Malaysia and abroad. He recently represented Malaysia for the World Championship of Performing Arts in Hollywood, Los Angeles, USA. He won 7 gold medals and one silver medal for the eight categories he took part in. He also won 7 Champion of the World plaques and was the only one from the Malaysian team to be chosen to compete in the Grand Championships which was held at the world famous Palladium Auditorium. Besides the US, Sam has also performed in Australia, Singapore, Brunei, New Zealand, Taiwan, Korea and India. Sam’s dedication to this ancient art form is total and the art world is richer by his experience, expertise and most importantly, devotion. |

Search | Add | 2 | Rusty Wunderverke | Rusty Egan | Rusty Wunderverke (with a "v"), usually written as just Wunderverke, is a [a=Rusty Egan] alias used as a writing credit on some appearances of "[m=146729]" by the alternative dance/rap project [a=Time Zone]. Egan says the alias was intended for a royalty-sharing agreement with the group [a=Wunderwerke], but which ended up not being implemented to the satisfaction of all parties. According to Egan, the backing track was written, programmed and performed solely by Egan at [l=Wunderwerke Studio], Wachtersbach, with the recording engineered by Dieter Kolb of the group [a=Wunderwerke] (with a "w"), a.k.a. [a=Roboterwerke] or [a=Supersempfft]. It was then sent to [l=Celluloid] for a mix and the addition of raps by [a=Afrika Bambaataa] and others at [l=RPM Studios], NYC. The "Vas is das, das Wunderwerke, da?" lyric in the instrumental is Egan's voice and was the song's original title. |

Search | Add | 2 | Clayber De Souza | Humberto Clayber de Souz | Humberto Clayber de Souza is a Brazilian composer and musician. He was considered one of the best Bossa Nova bass players in 1960s and actually is acclaimed as one of the best harmonica players of the world. He played with many famous artists along his career, such as Cesar Camargo Mariano, Airto Moreira, Hermeto Pascoal and Manfredo Fest. Humberto Clayber, or Clayber de Souza, started his musical career when he was 8 years old. At that period, he played for Radio Cultura band and, as a member of this group, he made his first shows. In 1956, he played for Hering Harmonicas. With Zezinho Lima and Raymundo Paiva, he played in São Paulo and other near cities, as endorser. He is responsible for popularizing the harmonica around Brazil, specially São Paulo. In the 1960s, he joined some samba-jazz groups. First, in 1963, he played with Manfredo Fest trio, as bassist, and recorded the debut album by the blind pianist: Bossa nova, nova bossa. One year later, he joined Sambalanço Trio, with Cesar Camargo Mariano and Airto Moreira. With this group, he recorded five albums. However, in 1965, Sambalanço Trio disbanded. So, with Moreira and Hermeto Pascoal, he formed Sambrasa Trio. These groups were considered some of the most important of that period; therefore, as member of them, Clayber was considered one of the best bassists of that years. He also played in Sambossa 5, in the end of the 1960s, and in Jongo Trio (with Paulo Roberto and Toninho), in the beginning of the 1970s. In the 1970s, Clayber stopped playing bass and decided to play only harmonica. Then, years later, he was considered one of the best harmonicists of the world, receiving a diploma by Fábrica de Gaitas Hohner, in 1979. In fact, Clayber can play about 40 different kinds of harmonica and can play six simultaneously. Actually, Clayber teaches how to play harmonicas, according to his own method. He still composes many songs in several rhythms: bossa nova, jazz, blues, tango, valsa. |

Working 7 years for a big music company to order international music gives him much experience and a wide horizon in the world of music. He got also much experience working 2001-2005 for the MyOwnMusic (leading european Artist Portal) Team. Armando is also a multitalent, as a singer/speaker for some projects, remixing some tracks for other artists, producing his own tracks (Mando Mango) and moderating a radio-show on infected radio. 2005 he founded the netaudio magazine "chiffre" and in November his Netlabel "Labil Recordings". He wants to try keeping Underground Music alive, that the real underground will never die. |

Search | Add | 2 | Restone | Synthetisers, bell-bottom pants and red glasses… There is no doubt, Restone is a Funk music producer. He even claims to come straight from the 80s. It hardly seems credible given his young age, but he says he traveled in time after a handling mistake on a vintage keyboard. The device, picked up a few weeks earlier at a flea market, had started to shake before disappearing… With Restone! The musician was officially reported missing on October 4, 1984, putting an abrupt end to his budding career. It's only in the last few years that it's come back to life. He has now decided to resume his musical career. Determined to keep this music alive with respect for sound and tradition, he still works exclusively with real musicians and the machines of the time. To this day, this testimony is considered one of the most credible and disturbing accounts of time travel.

Search | Add | 2 | Antioco | Antioco Fadda | Antioco is an Italian producer of Sardinian origins based in the suburbs of Milan, passionate about music in all its forms, from electronic to classical music. At a young age he became struck by the sounds and emotions that came from listening to tapes of the best DJ sets in the Italian 90s club scene. Over time, these greatly influenced him and allowed his musical background and passion for analog instrumentation to grow. Together with an acute natural curiosity that distinguishes him, his passion pushed him to create a home recording studio filled with synths and drum machines, but never losing track of his main objective. Indeed, his first track entitled “Sexy Ann” - which was entirely written and produced together with his great friend Paolo "Discojuice" - was released in 2017 and included in “Discojuice EP” on the label Milano Underground Records. This first experience allowed him to gain more awareness and knowledge in the world of electronic music and resulted in his writing and producing his first release "The Night Break", a two-track EP published for the Italian label Flankup Recordings and released in the spring of 2020. |

Search | Add | 2 | Mikenzo | Mike Langeveld | Mikenzo was born in the Dutch village of Veldhoven. He grew up listening to [a=The Beatles] and [a=Michael Jackson]. When he was eleven he was gifted a turntable which started his musical adventure. Inspired by Belgian New Beat, European House Music and Grand Mixer [a=Ben Liebrand] he started experimenting with mixing. In the early 90's he discovered the computer, synthesizers and [a=The Prodigy]. His focus shifted to Breakbeat music. He joined Dutch Breakz. This resulted in the release of 'Spiders (zephyr edit)' on the compilation '[r=168635]'. He toured the Netherlands with the 'Dutch Breakz Tour'. He formed the Big Time Beats collective to promote Breakbeat music in the Netherlands and won several DJ contests. At the start of the 2010's he decided to make the album he always wanted to make. He approached [a=Herman Witkam] to help him with the production and found a vocalist in [a=Phil Barkhudarov]. In 2011 they put out one track at a time and on 11/11/11 the album - appropriately entitled - '[r=4300321]' was complete. Mikenzo is currently working on his second album. |

Search | Add | 2 | Teichmann + Soehne | Andi Teichmann, Hannes Teichmann, Uli Teichmann | Teichmann + Soehne's »Flows« is not so much the result of a collaborative process as it is a process in itself. Over the course of nine pieces, the [a6643]—[a38346] and [a30498]—and their father [a388396] repeatedly find common ground between the very different musical styles, sound aesthetics, and subcultural codes they have internalised throughout their lives. The source material out of which the album evolved was culled from several recordings of rehearsal sessions in preparation for the trio's concerts that took place between the years 2012 and 2022. The three added only a few overdubs to those recordings but edited them rigorously to both preserve and transform the spirit of their unlikely collaboration. The combination of Uli's background as a versatile jazz artist and multi-instrumentalist with his sons' penchant for dub techniques, modular synthesis, and live sampling as well as their interest in electronic dance music take on ever-different shapes. [b]»Flows« released on the occasion of Uli's 80th birthday, is as joyful, lively and free-spirited as its makers.[/b] |
Search | Add | 2 | Chris Lowell | Chris Lowell’s hypnotic, organically textured blend of house and techno carries with it the collective influence of the deep and melodic sounds of Detroit. With an impressive catalog of releases including a spot on the legendary Movement Detroit Compilation, he discovered dance music in the late 90’s - one of the zeniths of the culture – in its storied birthplace, Belleville, Michigan. Chris’s music bears the hallmarks of Detroit’s legendary sound but also the sonic patchwork of his youth: Jazz, Motown, psychedelic rock, and 90’s punk rock. A diverse and dynamic musician, Chris has worked on all sides of the industry and brings an exceptional and historic perspective to everything he touches. A third-generation musician, he picked up saxophone and drums early in life. But he traded them in for a dirt bike as it appeared, he had a bright future in racing motocross ahead. Those plans were derailed in 1999 by a tragic racing accident. During his recovery a bright spot appeared when he discovered the rave movement, turntablism and deejaying. He immersed himself in the culture and soon rediscovered his love for creating music. The DIY spirit of dance music’s earliest innovators ran deep in Chris. As a son of an automotive industry electrical engineer, he began to tinker and solder together his own versions of classic drum machines and synths. As he learned to write dance floor moving beats, Chris also amassed an arsenal of kit. In 2012 he left his studio in Michigan behind for a fresh start in Brisbane, Australia. What he hasn’t left behind is his love for dance music. He continues to rock dance floors regularly and has quickly created a space for himself in the competitive Australian house and techno scene. His work with Let’s Get Minimal, IWTFA and local clubs has seen him light up the decks alongside such luminaries as Ray Kajioka, Tiefschwarz and Enrico Sangiuliano.
