Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | MC Moohyun | MC 무현 | After [a8319621] was elected as the 16th president of the Republic of Korea, a study of his vocalization and speech in the news analyzed that his speech was consistent with the rhythm of Rap or Hip-Hop, and Bossa Nova. Some people who were impressed by this point began editing his speeches into songs, and that was the birth of MC 무현(MC Moohyun). Even after his death in 2009, MC Moohyun's works have been actively emerging and have a profound influence on the modern Korean Internet. |

Search | Add | 4 | Swansong for a Raven | Swansong for a Raven (SfaR) started during summer 2007, created by Julien on bass and Estelle on vocals. They wanted SfaR to have a very strong visual identity. In december 2008, the promo video for the song Baby Goth Metal was shot. It was a reference to all the styles which used to influence the band back then. The first autoproduced EP « Secret » has been released in february 2009 and was featuring this video. After that, SfaR started to forge its name on the local scene, and played with the Japanese band Anli Pollicino at the Grillen in Colmar, and also at the 2010 Artefacts festival which took place at La Laiterie in Strasbourg. On the 1st of July 2011, the band released their first album « Love, Darkness and Decadence » which will definitely pose the bases of their style. After numerous concerts and the release of the One more on the Road PV and single, most of the members of Swansong for a Raven decided to leave the band in July 2012. Julien and Estelle decided to take advantage of this change to give the band a new musical direction. The band has been on hiatus for almost a year before coming back in a new form. In summer 2013, seven years after the beginning of the band even tough it’s the same name Julien and Estelle come back with a whole new style. The new music is composed only of strong distorted bass guitar, drums and vocals for a whole new sound. After making 3 new videoclips (Youtube Channel here), the band went to Japan for 2 concerts, and after that, in december 2013, they joined the Japanese band Eat You Alive as opening band for their European Tour.

Search | Add | 4 | Jean-Claude Gallotta | French Dancer And Choreographer Jean-Claude Gallotta Following a lengthy stay in New York at the end of the 1970s, during which he met Merce Cunningham and discovered the world of post-modern dance (Yvonne Rainer, Lucinda Childs, Trisha Brown...), Jean-Claude Gallotta returned to Grenoble and, with Mathilde Altaraz, founded the Groupe Émile Dubois, which in 1981 took up residence in the Maison de la Culture de Grenoble (House of Culture). In 1984 it was named a National Choreographic Center, one of the first of its kind in France. With his first ballet, Ulysse, in 1981, his international reputation was assured. Other works followed, including Daphnis é Chloé (1982), Hommage à Yves P. (1983), Mammame (1985), Docteur Labus (1988), Presque Don Quichotte (1999), and Trois générations (2004). Between 1997 and 1999, he directed a Japanese dance company in Shizuoka, Japan. Over the years his choreographic creations – over 90 to date – widened to embrace other arts: cinema (he has two feature-length films to his credit), video, literature (les Larmes de Marco Polo (2000), l’Etranger (The Outsider, 2015) and Comme un trio (Like A Trio, 2018), based on Françoise Sagan’s novel Bonjour Tristesse), classical music – (Bach danse experience (2008), l’Amour sorcier (2013), working with the stage director Jacques Osinski and the orchestra conductor Marc Minkowski; and le Sacre et ses révolutions (2015) performed at the Paris Philharmonia); original music – working with composers such as Henri Torgue, Serge Houppin and Strigall; and even pop music, thereby expanding the frontiers of contemporary dance deemed somewhat elitist. In the pop music register, working with the singer Olivia Ruiz, he created Volver, presented at the Biennale of Dance in Lyon in 2016. His additional work in the genre includes his triptych My Rock (2004), l’Homme à tête de chou (Cabbage Head Man , 2009 reprised in 2019), and My Ladies Rock (2017). The French Ministry of Culture has recognized the Groupe Émile Dubois as a dance company with national and international impact. The company is now resident at the MC2: Grenoble. Jean-Claude Gallotta is also an associate author at the Théâtre du Rond-Point in Paris. He is currently working on his latest creation, Le Jour se rêve (The day dawns, the day dreams) which will be created in the fall 2020. For this project he collaborate with musician and composer Rodolphe Burger and visual artist Dominique Gonzales Foerster.

Hailing from the vibrant city of Los Mochis in the enchanting region of Sinaloa, Mexico, he has carved a prominent place for himself as a revered hip-hop recording artist, a gifted songwriter, a visionary record producer, and a versatile actor. Bennett's artistic journey commenced with a period of dedicated creativity, releasing his music freely on the internet for an extended duration. However, it was in the transformative year of 2018 that he stepped into the limelight, leaving an indelible mark on the music scene. As a co-founder of the esteemed RYRNA Records, Bennett ventured forth into uncharted territory, setting the stage for his remarkable achievements yet to come. In this pivotal year of 2018, Bennett introduced his debut project, a masterpiece named "ME," which captivated audiences upon its release in May. With a raw authenticity and an unmatched artistic vision, his work resonated profoundly, establishing him as an undeniable force within the realm of Mexican hip-hop. As the year drew to a close, Bennett, driven by an insatiable thirst for creative exploration, unveiled "Per Sé," a mesmerizing collection of songs that delved into the depths of human emotion. Pushing the boundaries of genre conventions, he artfully blended captivating melodies, evocative lyricism, and innovative production techniques. Each track defied expectations, immersing listeners in an evocative journey through sound. Drawing inspiration from synths and samples, complemented by panned percussions and distorted vocals, he unwittingly forged a new sonic landscape along the enchanting northern coast of Sinaloa. This became his unmistakable production signature, leaving an indelible mark on the local music scene. During this transformative year, Bennett released his critically acclaimed single "Asaltar un OXXO," a provocative composition that sparked controversy and challenged societal norms, pushing the boundaries of artistic expression. Following a prolonged four-year hiatus, during which he diligently worked on various projects that did not come to fruition, Bennett triumphantly returned to the music scene. In the year 2023, he unveiled "overdose, love," an immersive offering featuring an array of esteemed guest artists such as Mariant, Yung Ríos, Sebastian Mouth, Nirket, BRUKLIN600, and J'dem. This collaboration served as a testament to Bennett's creative brilliance, as he effortlessly blended their talents to craft a mesmerizing auditory experience. Search | Add | 4 | Suicide Blitz | Short-lived project band based in Stockholm, Sweden. The origins of the band stem from an idea generated during correspondence between [a2373773] and [a740907] sometime in 2003, in which the two discussed starting a band. [a3418215] and [a1649155] from the bands [a262012] and [a650754] were enlisted, as was drummer [a652681] from Swedish band [a594752]. It wasn't until Kelly came to Stockholm in January of 2004 that the group met and had their initial practices in Stockholm's Slussen neighborhood. The band practiced and wrote at an intense pace during the next couple of weeks, and recorded their full-length LP at the end of the month. [a568018] ([a313397], [a277263], [a1046451] and many others) was initially brought in solely in the role of producer / engineer, but the band convinced him to lay down some guitar tracks, and, with the departure of Jocke due to a busy schedule, he became the bands' lead guitar player. Despite a lot of technical setbacks and logistical difficulties Suicide Blitz managed to complete the recordings and the LP came out in late 2004 on Germany's Hate records. CD and cassette versions were released as well, on Polish label Trująca Fala. During the band's short existence, they managed to play four live gigs in 2004: In Sandviken, Sweden on January 30, at the Umeå Punk Fest in Umeå, Sweden, on March 5, at the K-Town Festival in Copenhagen, Denmark, on June 25th, and at the Kopi in Berlin, Germany, on June 26th.

The sounds the band produces range from heavy psychedelic rock to abstract improvisation with plenty of free jazz-influenced drumming and fuzz guitar destruction.

Search | Add | 4 | Bogdan Tașcău | Marian Bogdan Tașcău | Romanian singer, composer, producer born in 1978 He attended the keyboard section of People's Art School in Bucharest and he is a graduated actor. At present, he attends the classes of the Faculty of Communication and Public Relations (SNSPA) as a second year student, but he is obviously mainly focused on music. Both as a singer and as a manager or composer as well, Bogdan was lucky, finding the right solution to changing a song, a band or a musical project into a success. In 1995, together with one of his best friends, Sorin, Bogdan initiated one of the first dance bands in Romania - MB&C. In 1996, MB&C released the first album of dance music in Romania (only one side of the tape, together with Isteria on the other side), Romanian Jungle and a year later he would participate in one of the most popular musical events of that period, Radio Contact Galas. The band released 3 albums between 1995 and 2000 and after that, Bogdan made his option for a solo career, under the name of Dl Problemă ("Mr. Problem"). A very successful period followed again for Bogdan, who released, in the years 2001-2004, 3 albums. As a composer and manager, he collaborated with important voices of Romanian musical stage, like [a553972] or [a646610], and he is the composer and manager of the band [a1917648], already at its third album. In 2006, Bogdan's composition activity was awarded with the Prize for Artistic Excellence offered by the Foundation [a918339] in Mamaia Festival, in the creation section, with the song Muza mea (“My Muse”), interpreted by his two good collaborators and friends, Andrei and Kamara ([a1917648] components). In 2000 he founded [l504492] Currently he relaunched his career with new project ''Free DeeJays'' together with Rareș Varniote. |
