Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 4 | Jeff Mulenga | Jeff Kayula | Jeff Mulenga, was a Zambian singer and musician best known for his membership in the Zamrock band, [a5788836] and later, [a5275375]. Born 1945 in Luanshya, Zambia, he changed his surname to Mulenga due to the close relationship he had with his uncle, [a5904521]. Jeff Mulenga began his career in music when he was invited by his uncle to join the Zamrock band, [a5620954] in 1968. He remained a member of the band until 1971, when he left to join The Tinkles. Mulenga played with The Tinkles as its rhythm guitarist through their recording of their landmark album (Zambia's first locally produced record), [m2404567] and the band's follow up album in 1974. He left the band in 1975 to headline his own band, [a5275375]. Jeff and the Explosives, sponsored by the Zambian Air Force, released an album and several singles before a falling out caused the band to lose its sponsorship and quietly dissolve. According to music historian Leonard Koloko, Mulenga was no longer active in the music industry by the early 1980's. |

| Search | Add | 4 | Biastfear | BiastFear | Includes former members of Ohio metal band [a=Sacrifix (3)]. There are two definitive eras of the band's history, although three additional line-ups existed. The "metal" era of the band featured two pairs of male friends joining forces to combine their love of thrash, industrial and death metal. Influences included: Cannibal Corpse, Sepultura, Fear Factory, Acid Bath, Nailbomb, Napalm Death and Machine Head. A demo, ("A Worthless Emotion"), and a full-length, ("The Ties That Bind"), were released. Some hints of the band's newer influences were apparent on the full-length release, but would come to fruition in the coming years. The band started to evolve and experiment with their sound, eventually losing the death and thrash influences in favor of groove and attitude. New influences included: Coal Chamber, Sevendust, Stuck Mojo, Manhole L.A., Living Colour and Biohazard. One of the founding members didn't like the musical direction and was asked to leave the band. A new male vocalist was acquired but his time with the band was short-lived. He was replaced be a female vocalist and the second era of the band truly began. Retaining their down-tuned guitars from their heavier days, the band began to write music inspired by where heavy music was going to instead of where it had been. The band's second full-length was released on the verge of the dawn of what would become known shortly as "nu-metal", although in December of 2000 nobody really called it that yet, so the band and their fans made up their own genre definitions: some called it heavy-hop and some called it R&Bcore. Questionable experimentation with hip-hop aside, it resounded with fans in a big way and the band found themselves touring more often and playing to bigger crowds. Demos were made for a follow-up recording and shopped to labels, but the band found far too many people unsure of exactly how to market the band, even though they agreed the music was strong and the band's live performance was solid. The stagnation lead members to start to experiment with side-projects and other interests, and with no official farewell show, the band went on an indefinite hiatus and never reconvened. |

| Search | Add | 4 | Ansuman Roy | ANSUMAN ROY (1936-1990) Date of Birth – 19th August 1936, Jhargram, West Bengal, India Place of Work - Bengali Classical and Folk and Contemporary Music Family: Parents – Late Rampada Roy, Late Bibhabati Roy Spouse – Late Kamala Roy Children – Bhaskar Roy, Antar Roy, Meita Guha Roy Education – Kumud Kumari Institute, Jhargram Raj College Ansuman Roy was considered as one of the most eminent Bengali versatile singer who had enriched Bengali Music with a huge number of varieties. Though most people remember him as a Legendary folk artist but his devotional songs, Nazrulgeeti and Modern Bengali songs (Swarna-Juger Gaan, Songs of the Bengali Golden Period) were equally popular and was marked as all-time hit music. Early Life Ansuman Roy was born and brought up in Jhargram, now a district of West Bengal on 19th August 1936. As a kid, he had a huge interest in Bengali music. His music training was started by one of his uncle (father’s friend) in his locality. Though music reign in his gene, at that moment there was no one in his family who was directly associated with music. Later on, Pandit Gyan Prakash Ghosh trained him on Bengali Light music. In his early life, he was a Radio- Artist and was frequently audible at All India Radio (AIR India, Akashvani). During this period he was involved in various research work on Bengali folk, especially the folk music of Radh-Bengal (South West Bengal). He played the pioneering role to introduce the flavour of Jhumur-Vadu-Tusu to the urbanized world. His kin interest in instrument was also well known. The Santhali instrument Madal was a regular component of his music composition. The first music record of Ansuman Roy was recorded in 1971 from Hindusthan Record. Music Career In his Music Career he had worked with many legendary figures of Bengal, such as- Prabir Majumder, Sudhin Dasgupta, Gauri Prasanna Majumder, Aloknath Dey, Pulak Bandyopadhyay, Shibdas Bandopaddhyay, Hemanta Mukherjee, Manna De, Manabendra Mukherjee, Shyamal Mitra, Sandhya Mukherjee, Nirmala Mishra Banashree Sengupta, Arati Mukherjee and many other contemporary artists. His tonal quality, the pitch of voice, clarity in music makes him different from others and people considered him as a genius in Bengal folk music. His genre of music is highly adopted by young musicians and is used by many banners even today. But the only grievance in this pretext is that they forget to acknowledge the name of this legendary composer. One of his most remarkable work on music and also on the socio-political aspect for the War of Independence of Bangladesh (Muktiyuddha of Bangladesh) was “Shono Ekti Mujibarer Theke”. This song is considered as one of the main patriotic songs in Bangladesh and is sang after the National Anthem - “Amar Sonar Bangla Ami Tomai Valobasi”. The lyrics of this song was written by Gauri Prasanna Majumder, and Ansuman Roy composed the music and sang this song. He was felicitated with Bangabandhu Gold Medal in 1975 for this historical song. In 1978 he won the Best Male Singer Award for the film Charmurti for the song “Ghochang Fu, Khabo Toke”.
