Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 3 | Os Nazaritos | Os Nazaritos, formerly called Os Nazarenos is a Brazilian Christian rock band. The band was formed by Gustavo Legal in 1998 in Itaguaí, in the state of Rio de Janeiro. Mixing rhythms such as ska, rock, country music and reggae, Nazaritos create a kind of comical rock in the evangelical scene. With the support of Ronaldo Barros, father of singer Aline Barros, the band signed with AB Records and released their first CD in 1999, making it a huge success in Gospel. With the band's departure from AB Records to the Top Gospel label, the members changed the group's name to Os Nazaritos. In 2001, he performed at Rock in Rio III at Tenda Brasil together with Los Hermanos, Ls Jack among others. It was considered, by Roberto Medina himself (Creator of Rock in Rio), that the Band's presentation would be on Palco Mundo before the Iron Maiden Band's presentation. But the band thought it would be better to perform on Teen day at Tenda Brasil as they would have more time to perform. After long years of hiatus, the group returned to activities in 2016, for a commemorative tour, and released, in 2017, the EP O Emergente. In February 2022, Banda leader Gustavo Legal announced the Band's return to the stage. Despite the similarities with Mamonas Assassinas, the band states that their main influences were the singer Falcão and the band Blitz, and that the association with Mamonas was marketing for the record label AB Records. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Invernomuto | Invernomuto is the name of the artistic personality created in 2003 by Simone Bertuzzi (Piacenza, 1983) and Simone Trabucchi (Piacenza 1982. They work and live in Milan). Invernomuto is the author of a series of research projects structured in time and space, from which cycles of interconnected works derive. On a common theoretical basis, Invernomuto tends to think in an open and rhizomatic manner, developing different outputs that take the form of moving images, sounds, performative actions and publishing projects, within the framework of a practice defined by the use – as diffuse as it is precise – of different media. Reality is observed according to documentaristic principles and interests, but for the purpose of creating an imaginative and almost abstract representation, which offers wide margins for reflection and critical interrogation. In particular, Invernomuto investigates subcultural universes, moving through different practices, in which the vernacular language is one way of approaching and appreciating oral cultures and contemporary mythologies, observed with a gaze that aspires to be cross-fertilised and regenerated by it. The declared inauthenticity of some of the materials used plays a fundamental role in this process, which underlines not only the real but also the fictitious and distorted nature of the realities that Invernomuto explores. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Dr. Alphonse Mabuse | Mike Murphy | Doc Mabuse, a.k.a. Mike Murphy, is a St. Louis native and founding member of that city’s HEARding Cats artists’ collective. He makes a living designing software and hardware (“wares, soft to firm to hard,” as he puts it) but spends most of his time building synthesizers, which he uses to make wild and entirely left-field improvised music. The instruments, which he labels either “modules” or “electroniums” (meaning “a synthesizer that acts suspiciously like it’s broken”), have names like The Jackelope, The Feminine Prerogative-Based Control-Voltage Generator and il Viaggio di Marconi, the last of which is a gorgeous object built from a box of chocolates he once received for Christmas. Murphy is co-founder of HEARding Cats along with [a448161] (a former percussionist with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra and music director of the St. Louis New Music Circle), Davey Williams (an avant-garde guitarist and co-founder of The Improviser, a journal of experimental music) and the jazz pianist and North Little Rock native Chris Parker. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Giulio Polidori | Italian Canadian tenor singer born in Acquasanta in the Ascoli Piceno region, his talent soon attracted the interest of a well-known member of the Italian Parliament. After hearing Giulio Polidori sing the Ave Maria in his village church, this patron encouraged him to take part in the entrance exam for the [b]St. Cecilia Academy[/b] in Rome. Approved by this institute whose reputation is widespread throughout the world, the young tenor studied singing technique for three years with [b]Professor Scolari[/b] and laid the foundations of his repertoire. After the almost simultaneous death of his protector and his teacher, he decided to continue his studies at the [b]Luisa D'Annunzio Conservatory[/b] in Pescara. After graduating he began his career with an opera and concert tour in Italy. He then took part in an international competition organized in Naples by M.G.M. He ranked first among the 4,000 competing tenors. This immense success brought him the attention of [l345209], where he was invited to follow advanced courses. His debut in the role of Mario Cavaradossi in the opera “La Tosca” immediately classified him as a first-class dramatic tenor. In search of new musical horizons, he arrived in Canada in 1956 and has since demonstrated his talent on radio and television. Winner of the Toronto TV program “[b]Pick the Stars[/b]” in October 1956, he participated professionally in television programs in Toronto as well as in Montréal and Kitchener, Ontario. He also landed a series of programs on [a=CKVL Radio-850] (The Golden Voice). Since his arrival in Canada, he has also participated in numerous public concerts with the [a=Toronto Symphony Orchestra], conducted by [a=Ernesto Barbini]. He died in February 2001 (78 years old) near Naples where he taught singing. He had married a Quebecer who was a friend of Mrs. [a=Yolande Dulude]. Founder and director of the [b]Centro Lirico Sperimentale Di Montreal[/b]. Nicknamed the [a=Mario del Monaco] of Canada. | |

He entertained in the New England area with is seven-piece house band; played back up music for many famous Nashville artists including Willie Nelson, Ray Price, Elton Britt and the Browns, which enhanced his desire to continue to play music professionally. While touring with the band of "Claude Gray and the Greymen" he performed in Texas, the Midwest and Florida. Throughout his career, his versatility led him to stage performance, conducting his own band, making commercials, broadcast videos, as well as being an accomplished vocalist. After graduation from Hartford University with honors in electronics, he continued playing music and singing while he worked in the electronics field. His profession took him to Florida where he was booked at many night spots and country clubs entertaining in the categories of MOR, country and pop. He continued his music education at a Florida College where he studied Piano and Music theory with Dr. Illena Fernandez. In the fall of 1987 he was invited to sing at the 16th international Steel Guitar Convention in St. Louis, Missouri, with well know steel guitarist and producer Jimmie L. Crawford and the "Steel Guitars of Europe", which was composed of Koos Biel (Holland), Andre Sommers (Holland), Niles Tuxen (West Germany/Denmark), and Gerry Hogan (England). He recorded some of his own compositions while in New England and has continued to write and record his original songs on 45's, albums, and cassettes. In addition to his own selections he recorded other original songs while in Nashville. A single, "Somebody's Rockin' Gibraltar" was charted on the National Charts Top 100 and Cashbox Country Single Chart. "Walking Through My Dreams" also made the top 100 chart and was the 1 Pick Hits for three weeks and moved to #1 for two weeks on a Portsmouth, Ohio radio station WPAY. The Dreams of Love album, released in 1988, includes both of the above singles and standards by Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Nat King Cole and others. Due to Dann's striking likeness of Roy Orbison in both looks and voice, he has recorded a new album soon to be released titled "Dan Garner Sings Roy Orbison" for the US and European Distribution. He has recently been featured on the cover of Britain's top-selling Country Music Newspaper, "International Country Music News", published in Derby, England, and is being featured on forthcoming tours in the United Kingdom and throughout Europe. He recently completed a 30-day contract in Copenhagen, Denmark, singing "A Tribute to Roy Orbison". His recent song "Rainy Night in Copenhagen" was inspired while performing in Denmark. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Wayne Downey | Wayne R. Downey | Wayne Downey's involvement in music began in 1960 as a third grader in Commack, New York as a trumpet player in the elementary band. A few years later, the local Fire department organized a fife, drum and bugle corps to perform at various civic events and at fireman's parades. Wayne's next-door neighbor (a fireman) persuaded him to march in the corps. After several seasons, Wayne became more attracted to a drum and bugle corps in nearby Smithton, New York, primarily because their horns had a valve and a slide. He marched with the Smithtown Freelancers in 1966, 1967, and 1968. In 1969, his senior year in high school, Wayne marched in the Long Island [a8590293] as one of their soprano soloists. At the same time his father, who was an elementary school principal, interviewed for and accepted a job in California, which required relocation. The family departed during the summer of 1969, leaving Wayne behind to march with the Sunrisers. Wayne planned on finishing out the season with the Sunrisers and taking advantage of a music scholarship offered to him by Florida State University. However, midway through the summer, Wayne decided it was best to join his parents in California. "After all, great weather is great weather no matter which coast you soak it up on." With this in mind, he elicited the help of friends (including Dave Shaw, Editor of Drum Corps Digest) to locate any drum and bugle corps on the West coast. Wayne was informed of a three-year old corps located in Santa Clara, California called the [a473043]. Ironically, his parents had moved just one block away from the home of the Vanguard's corps director, [a4670281]. Wayne marched soprano bugle with Vanguard during the end of the 1969 season, and all of 1970-72. In 1971, Santa Clara's brass instructor [a5983459] left the corps. Jack was replaced as brass instructor by Wayne (one of the soprano soloists in the corps) and [a8735443] (an "age out" from the previous season), led by Gail Royer as music director and arranger. Wayne "aged out" in 1972. During that season, the professional relationship between Wayne and Gail had soured and Wayne was politely "relieved of his responsibilities" as brass instructor at the end of the season. In 1973, Wayne instructed the reigning World Champion [a8838508], and the [a8590005]. He was teaching the Commodores on Tuesday evenings, and then flying down to Los Angeles on Wednesdays to teach the Kingsmen. During the winter months, Wayne drove to LA every weekend to instruct the Kingsmen and finally moved to LA in the summer. After the drum corps season was completed, Wayne moved back to San Francisco to complete his last year of undergraduate work at nearby San Jose State University. Meanwhile, the position for San Jose State's marching band director became available and Wayne interviewed for the job "just for the hell of it". The next day, San Jose State University Band Director and undergraduate student Wayne Downey met his secretary, moved into his office, and prepared for next season. For the next two years Wayne wrote the drill and the music, directed one of the jazz/pep bands, and taught a marching band techniques class. During his first week as band director, Wayne received a telephone call from [a4670283], the director of the Concord [a1063612]. Jerry expressed interest in having Wayne teach the [a1063612]. Wayne reluctantly agreed to help audition of new people for the corps' 1974 season. "There was this for incredible magnetic energy that drew me into the organization" says Wayne of his first visit to Concord. At that time, [a8892724] was the brass instructor and arranger for the [a1063612]. Wayne and Jim were already good friends from their times together instructing the Commodores and marching in the Vanguard. Ultimately, Wayne decided to take the job as brass instructor with the [a1063612]. In 1974, the [a1063612] improved their placement at [l153566] (DCI) Nationals from 24th to 9th place. The next year, from 9th to 3rd, and the corps took their first DCI Title in 1976, the quickest three year ascent in DCI history. Wayne was now twenty-five years old. After graduating from [l277506] with a degree in secondary music education, Wayne opted to work full-time for gal the Concord [a1063612] and has been there ever since. Today, Wayne Downey has reached "icon" status in the drum corps community. He has enriched drum corps and high school and college marching bands throughout the world with his instructional techniques and carefully crafted musical arrangements. He continues to arrange, adjudicate, and instruct, and he still somehow manages to make time to consult and conduct clinics for Yamaha Music Corporation of America. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Alain Demari | Yapo Adopo Alain De Marie | With his first hit, Alain Demari burst the screen. On radio and tabloids. The young prodigal of Akyé music seduces and wins the sympathy of music lovers. In particular the fairer sex. When he was born, Alain had given up by his father ... and that, at one point, disrupted his childhood. Fortunately, he will grow up in an environment of women, where he has received a lot of tenderness. His mother cradles little Alain and both form a "bond" until 2000, when Alain decides to go to France in order to embrace a real career as a musician. He has the support of his mother. But at the same time, she worries about the loneliness that she will have to do without her adored son. Alain, it must be emphasized, was his only son. He leaves donations. But whenever his mother had a problem, Alain immediately returned to his Ananguié village, to give his support to the one who has always guided his steps. One of his plans was to allow his mother to go to Paris. In 2001, she fell ill. This wish will not come true, because illness got the better of Mary (her mother) on June 12 of the same year. A real blow for Alain. The death of his mother affected him so much that he believed that his existence should end there ... He buried his mother with dignity. And, each time he is in possession of his guitar, the first note he "plucks" is a chorus in homage to Marie, his mother. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Jet Corporation | The Jet Corporation was founded in 1984 with John Oglow and Danny Bloudoff. While the group initially recorded in a house on the east side of Vancouver, a downtown warehouse space was acquired in the spring of 1985 which was converted into an after hours nightclub on the weekends while serving as the group's studio space during the week. The late night parties held on the weekends were an opportunity for the group to showcase their latest recordings among the rest of the strange sounds which were to be heard. Eventually, the popularity of the parties drew the attention of the local law enforcement which forced the closure of the facility. These encounters with the police are commemorated in the recording V.C.P.D. which was released on the Security cassette compilation. The group also released a limited edition cassette of its recordings titled Antimatter which was reviewed in Profile magazine in the August, 1985 issue. | |
