Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 3 | Stephen Rey | American singer/songwriter, guitarist and bassist. Works mostly in the Americana/roots genre, his music blending elements of rock & roll, blues, country, honky tonk, and southern swamp. Has played with a number of artists as well as fronting his own acts and releasing works under his own name and as Stephen El Rey. Stephen Rey was born in Victorville, California. When he was three his family moved to San Diego, where he grew up mostly in the suburb of Lakeside. He attributes much of his musical influence to time spent on his grandparents' ranch in El Centro. He got into punk rock, started playing in bands at age fourteen, and at seventeen spent time busking in San Francisco and Berkeley. After some demo recordings funded by major labels, in 1998 he obtained a publishing deal with Warner Chappell as a songwriter; some of his songs appeared in movies and documentaries. However, he put this venture aside to focus on his growing family. In the 2000s he began performing as a side man in local San Diego acts, playing bass in Operator X and Lady Dottie & The Diamonds. He fronted his own group, Stephen Rey & The Slicks, with drummer Brian Cantrell (Operator X, Lady Dottie & The Diamonds), guitarist Mike Butler, and bassist Ryan Sinn (ex-[a=The Distillers] and [a=Angels & Airwaves]). They released the album Old Fashioned Future in 2011. The following year he put together a stripped-down version of this act called Stephen Rey And The Sextrash, with Nathan Beale (Lady Dottie & The Diamonds, ex-[a=Dirty Sweet]) on guitar and Tim Lowman ([a=Low Volts]) on percussion. Over the next few years he played bass with [a=Bartender's Bible], [a=Mad Juana], [a=Diablo Dimes], [a=John Reis], [a=El Vez], [a=The Schizophonics], and [a=The Little Richards]. Joining the Johnny Cash tribute band Cash’d Out, he began playing original material as an opening act on tour. This led him to record and release music under the name Stephen El Rey, including the self-released Stephen El Rey Sextet EP, (2016), the Poor Born EP (2017, on Pig Baby Records), and the Memphis Sessions LP (2019, Pig Baby), along with several digital singles. In 2020 he formed the avant-garde "21st century duet" Tormenta Rey with [a=Leilainia Marcus] (aka Leilainia Lovelight), in which they perform original compositions and obscure songs from the 1920s and 1930s, with Rey playing guitar and singing and Lovelight playing trumpet and performing theatrical dance. | |

Together with Marc Timón, David Gausa and Xavi Escolano, he has been part of the sound production team that took Maestro Live Show to such emblematic stages as the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Teatro Real or the Peralada Festival. He also shared with the same team the production and composition of the soundtrack at the opening ceremony of the 2019 Davis Cup at the Caja Mágica. He has worked on countless projects under pseudonyms that have marked an era in a wide variety of styles: Jan & Solo, Paul Droid, Lavelvet, Clublanders... And he has collaborated with countless professionals in the sector such as Sideral, Javi Mula, Juan Magan, Pitbull, Carol Lee, Terry B, Cesar Lorés, Steven Redant, David Penn, Anderbeat, Dj Disciple, The Zombie Kids, Nick Jonas, Adam Lambert, Kate Ryan, Lexter and a long etcetera. Currently he combines his work as a producer/composer with teaching, publishing assignments, record companies, the sound production of live shows and with the shared management of WeSoundMaster together with Julio Navas. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Montre | This is North Wales’s latest Country Duo, who are providing a bi-lingual entertainment at venues throughout the region and beyond. Dennis Williams lives on Anglesey (Ynys Môn) and Glyn Jones resides at Trefor, hence the name MONTRE. Their repertoire is based on standard “Country” songs as performed by popular Irish and American country singers and popular Welsh ballads. They have also written Welsh words for many standard numbers and given them new treatment and thus a new lease of life. They’ve have had many years experience on the local entertainment scene, Glyn as lead singer with Wales’ first “electric” group “The Caballeros” and Dennis with both the Caballeros and “New Castaways”. Both lads being competent instrumentalists, and vocalists, have a canny understanding of each other’s harmonising talents. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Skulpey | In 1993 Heather Mount and Matthew Covey decamped from the indie-rock crucible of Oberlin College. They then relocated to Trencin, Slovakia, and took up with an emerging local scene with prodigious drummer Palo Chalupka, and formed Skulpey. Infusing the jagged pop of Helium and Rodan with the polyrhythmic churning sound of local bands like Dunaj and Psi Vojaci, the band spent a year gigging around Slovakia and Czech Republic, including and early show at the Pohoda Festival. The band completed one U.S. tour and a SXSW showcase before going on what proved to be a more or less permanent hiatus in 1999. Covey and Mount continued to play into the aughts, doing limited European dates as “Schooner,” including the Sziget Festival in 2001. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | El Gordo's Revenge | El Gordo's Revenge was a suburban St. Louis band formed by two 15 year-olds when they realized playing Ramones songs was a lot easier than trying to play Iron Maiden songs. An early proto-EGR featured four students from Parkway Central High School in Chesterfield, Missouri. This lineup formed when acne-ridden Kevin Schneider and corpulent Matt Picker noticed Black Flag stickers on a nearby locker. They soon recruited the inhabitants of said locker despite the fact that neither Mike Virag, who looked 30 when he was 16, nor Adrian Martinez, a Mexican Jew, had ever played drums or bass. After winning their high school's battle of the bands (but getting disqualified for cursing and breaking a microphone) and playing something called "the Psycho Pera", Adrian and Mike moved to Seattle. (at some point the band briefly played with drummer Aristotle Kumpis or Tallis for short. His name was immediately bastardized to Aris Twat-hole or Phallus for short. He left to play in a Nirvana cover band) Kevin and Matt soon found replacements in bassist Nate Pionke, who was fat, and drummer Collin Smith, who was as black. This lineup saw the band play its first "real" shows and a select few consider it superior to later versions largely due to the zany antics of Collin Smith, who enjoyed telling racially-charged jokes that belied his African-American heritage. Collin also had a penchant for leaving his drum kit at the end of the show and strutting around in nothing but rhinestone boots, a sequined black cape and a blonde wig. Eventually Mike Virag moved back from Seattle after his girlfriend cheated on him with Larry from The Degenerats (who, ironically, EGR later played with in Kansas City) and began playing in the band once again - this time on guitar, which he's better at than bass. For some reason Nate and Collin quit or were kicked out or something. Matt Picker switched from guitar to drums and young Matt Wicks, another Parkway Central student and pals with Matt's little brother, joined on bass. This is the most well-known lineup of the group and showcases their growing musical talent as well as their increasingly esoteric and arbitrary songwriting style. The band's unique blend of classic punk and hardcore, hard rock, early rock 'n' roll, heavy metal and utter nonsense made them one of the top St. Louis bands of the mid-to-late 90s. During their three year reign of terror, they put out 3 cassette only albums, a 10" LP and a few compilation tracks. The band also played with some of the top national acts of the day, including the Promise Ring, Subhumans, the Donnas, Groovie Ghoulies, Mr. T. Experience, the Loudmouths, Very Metal, Acid Flesh, Zvook, and even played Cottleville hardcore fest '97 and Warped Tour '98 - where they were offered a record deal on Lookout! EGR broke up in 1998 in part because their bass player began listening to far too much hip-hop, but mostly because the band as a whole was sick of playing crappy songs about tacos and Bronson Pinchot at breakneck speed. | |
