Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Open Fire! | Coming out of Tacoma, WA, Open Fire! formed in late 2005. Over several years, they progressed and shifted line ups and directions, but always had a core philosophy: to write passionate, aggressive music. Combining their influences of metal and hardcore, and using forms of melody and conscientious lyrics (be it personal or political issues), the band's effort culminated in their 2012 full length album "I Am the Curse," digitally self-released. The album's lyrics tackles socio-political issues as well as detailing personal struggles while blending heavy riffs, melodic leads and vocals reminiscent of bands like Poison the Well, Shai Hulud, The Carrier and Misery Signals. The album also features guest vocals from The Ghost Inside vocalist Jonathan Vigil, as well as a solo from guitarist Kyle Rasmussen of Vitriol. They are releasing their first material in 8 years in November 2020, rerecordings of a few choice tracks from their 2007 full length, “Built to Abandon.”

Search | Add | 4 | Helsinki Horizon | Helsinki Horizon, an alt-rock ensemble from Scandinavia, traces its roots back to 2008 when Snorre began recording demos and composing music. In 2012, viNd and Geir joined the project, marking the band's first live performances. Their debut EP, "Signal Flares," was released in 2021, receiving critical acclaim and massive support from the post-rock community. The band's earlier experiences in the underground metal scene brought a complementary and honest addition to their organic and melodic compositions, infusing both savagery and fierce simplicity into their music. Influenced by artists like Radiohead, Mogwai, M83, and Max Richter, Helsinki Horizon's music transcends genre barriers, incorporating experimental elements such as Tesla coil emulated Cello distortion and 8-bit crushed bass-harmonicas. In 2024, the band unveiled their debut album "Sirens," which explores darker, moodier concepts while departing from conformity. Collaborating with Stockholm-based avant-garde pop act Öllegård on vocals, the band achieved a new level of sonic innovation, pushing beyond conventional boundaries. Their music draws inspiration from human struggles, philosophy, nature, and societal issues, intertwined with cinematic and literary influences. Helsinki Horizon comprises Snorre, who handles guitars, bass and keys, along with Öllegård on vocals, viNd on guitars, and Geir on drums. Their collective artistry and dedication have propelled Helsinki Horizon into the nordic alt-rock scene, captivating audiences with their distinctive Scandinavian sound and unwavering commitment to musical innovation.

Search | Add | 4 | Baby Bertha | Baby Bertha formed from the ashes of Relative in late 1971. Several members came and went before the band featuring Dave Ellis, guitar/vocals, and Des Law, drums, finally settled into a groove with the addition of Ian Mclaughlin on bass and Roger 'Proff' Perry on rhythm guitar. The band went from strength to strength playing the south coast from Hastings to Southampton throughout 1972. In January, '72, they cut a demo LP at SRT Studios, Luton featuring songs mainly written by Dave Ellis. Musical differences arose when Des decided he wanted to be a DJ rather than a drummer. As luck would have it, Dave and Ian met Pete Gibbons, drummer with Sweet Poison, at the Bournmouth Folk and Rock contest in February 1973. Pete was an outstanding, agressive drummer and after one jam, they formed the band Charge. Sadly, both Pete and Roger Perry are no longer with us. Members Dave Ellis (vocs, gtr), Ian Mclaughlin (bass gtr), Roger 'Prof' Perry (gtr), Desmond Law (drums).

Search | Add | 4 | The Boulting Brothers | Boulting brothers was a prolific English filmmakers duo of two identical twins, John Edward Boulting (1913—1985) and Roy Alfred Clarence Boulting (1913—2001), best known for a series of socially conscious comedies in the 1950s and 1960s. The brothers typically worked as a producer-director team, with one of the credits assigned to either John or Roy and the overall production colloquially known as a "Boulting Brothers film." When John Boulting died of cancer in 1985, Roy stopped making films. Roy Boulting began working in film sales around 1933, subsequently moving to production. He served as an assistant director on the 1936 short comedy Apron Fools. John and Roy established their Charter Film Productions company and began directing and filming shorts. A few of their works, such as The Landlady (1937) and Consider Your Verdict (1938), soon gained critical and commercial acclaim. Roy directed his first feature-length Hollywood movie after the Second World War, the Sailor of the King, for [l=20th Century Fox], starring [a=Jeffrey Hunter, Jr.] in 1953. Their second WWII naval war epic, this time for [l=Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer], Seagulls over Sorrento, featuring [a=Gene Kelly] in 1954, had less prominence. In the following decade, Boultings primarily focused on satire to highlight various British societal issues, from academia and corrupted unions to government bureaucracy or the inefficient legal system. The series began with John's look on military life, Private's Progress in 1956, starring [a=Richard Attenborough], [a=Terry-Thomas], and Ian Carmichael; it became the second biggest box office hit in the UK that year. The Lucky Jim followed in 1957, adapted from an eponymous novel by [a=Kingsley Amis] and set in academia. Search | Add | 4 | Once The Sun | Formed in 2004 by a group of friends that had one goal, to come together and make a dream a reality. Over the last several years OncetheSun has played hundreds of shows imbedding in people’s minds their unique blend of alternative hard rock and heavy metal. Combining female and male vocals, heavy rhythms, pianos & synths, and adding emotionally wrenching and soul searching lyrics has helped OncetheSun stand out from an over saturated scene. When not playing shows, OncetheSun is always working on new material. In ’07 OncetheSun Released their first album “Shadows” and in ’08 released their 1st E.P. “Blank Stares and Broken Words”. After a year and a half of solid work, OncetheSun released 2010’s “8 degrees below” full length album. Recorded at Bobby Peru recording studio in Milwaukee and mastered at the world famous West West Side Studios, OncetheSun finally found a way to let people experience the power of their live sound. Need convincing? Listen to the leadoff single “Kisses” and the popular “Day You said Goodbye” and you will see the direction the band was musically heading towards. The years following “8 degrees below” brought many opportunities, but it also brought hardships both personal and professional. Multiple rhythm guitar changes combined with the exit of original member & male vocalist Matt Halleman sidelined the group for some time. During the downtime OncetheSun released multiple “industrial” remixes on Bandcamp and worked hard to find a permanent guitarist. The position was filled in 2014 with the addition of Nick Mitchell. It was at this time it was decided that vocals were now to be handled solely by Anna Bohn. Reinvigorated, the group (now with the official line up of Anna Bohn on Vocals/ Piano/ Synths, Nick Mitchell and Jason Rabus on Guitars, Joshua Morrison on Bass and Samuel Morrison on Drums) immediately went to work on a new album. 2016 brought the release of “The Ghost Inside Me”. Focusing on heavier rhythms, darker synths and melodies, and bigger hooks “The Ghost Inside Me” is OncetheSun’s heaviest, most complete, and most accessible album to date. This album saw the band evolve their sound. Still utilizing their mix of alternative rock and metal, this album saw a more pronounced presence of gothic doom and some powerful heavy screams. It saw Anna Bohn become the official voice and frontwomen of the band. It also showed more musical depth from the band as a whole, both in songwriting and in concept. The album has received outstanding reviews and applause from respected sites and magazines such as DeadRhetoric.com, Battle Helm, and Ion Indie Magazine. OncetheSun was also given the honor of being named in the top 10 albums on Bandcamp in 2016 by Dead Rhetoric.com.

Search | Add | 4 | Krista Green | Born in Bournemouth, Dorset, Krista Green is a singer-songwriter who has been performing for over twelve years. Before launching her career, Krista discovered her love for being on stage as a dancer, within the Bournemouth pantomimes from the tender age of eight. Learning the drums at fifteen, she treasured playing with her brother’s rock ’n’ roll band and was gifted a guitar for her eighteenth birthday. Whilst teaching herself to play the guitar, she began writing songs and as her confidence grew, she found out that singing and song-writing was exactly what she wanted to do as a career. Krista went on to study performing arts and enjoyed a variety of acting, theatre and entertainment jobs across England as well as song writing, busking and playing gigs and weddings for many years. In 2011, she won the 'Bournemouth Unplugged' competition whilst up against tremendous talent, with a voice described as ‘sunshine’, and a sound compared to the likes of KT Tunstall, Katie Melua and Jack Johnson. Soon after, her debut album ‘Moments With The Universe’ was released in May 2012. As well as being an accomplished solo musician, Krista also played with a band, notably performing under the name ‘Krista Green & The Bees’ around Dorset for the last two years and at present. One of their most memorable performances was sharing the same stage as Nizlopi, supporting them at Purbeck Valley Folk Festival in 2014. In the same year, she released another album titled ‘Stepping Stones’. By 2015 Krista had released three albums, all of which are available on iTunes, and she was no stranger to playing live performances and regularly entertaining new crowds. As a solo artist, Krista currently has a huge repertoire of both popular covers and original material which spans from gentle, chilled vibes to upbeat, catchy tunes; instilled by her mother's love for The Beatles whilst growing up and a love for the same fun 'summertime vibe'. Her covers range from the likes of Vance Joy, Bob Marley and The Fratellis through to Paolo Nutini, Ed Sheeran and George Ezra, showcasing her talent in singing an array of genres. No matter if it’s an up-tempo or a heartfelt track, her original material is always lyrically poetic. During her time as a busker over the years, she met a man called Barry who sold the Big Issue and they became good friends. His sudden passing led her to write ‘Barry’s Song’, a particularly meaningful song from her album ‘Krista Green: Live’. Krista believes that song writing is like keeping a diary and gives you the chance to pour out your emotions, whilst creating something positive. Her talent doesn’t just stop with music. Krista holds a black belt in Taekwondo as well as having the ability to draw and design all of the artwork for her albums. She currently lives in Bournemouth, gigging regularly, teaching music and focusing on her music. Krista continues to work hard and is currently writing her fourth album.

Search | Add | 4 | The Legitimate Excuse | The Legitimate Excuse (TLE), TLE was formed in 2001 in Pennsylvania by me and my great friend Nick Onorato. After recording an EP "Always The Last To Know" and an LP "For Reasons Left Unsaid" on our own in a storage shed, we decided to move the band to Baltimore, Maryland where bassist Phil Sweeney and drummer Kris Gobeil hopped on board. In the summer of 2002 we drove down to Florida and entered our first real studio where we recorded the full length record "Pathetic, Ordinary" (which is where the Alesana song title derived from. It was my way of paying tribute to TLE). After playing shows for over a year, Patrick Thompson (guitarist of Alesana and my co-writer for the last 9 years) joined the band where he actually played his first ever rock show. Not too long after, the members of TLE parted ways, some to finish college, others to start new projects. Shawn - lead vocals/guitar/keyboard Nick - backup vocals/guitar Phil - backup vocals/bass Kris - drums

Search | Add | 4 | Kristen Lee Sergeant | Kristen Lee Sergeant is a jazz vocalist and composer of effervescent energy, musical intensity and dramatic flair. DownBeat Magazine has given both her albums the distinction of being an Editor’s Pick, citing how she “crafts moments of engaging drama, whether she’s seductively sliding into a note with a near-whisper, delivering a breathy revelation or belting out a lyric with full-throated muscularity.” She commits to telling a story in her music and performance style, while sparking spontaneous sonic conversation with her fellow musicians. Such commitment, and its results, captivate her audiences, whether in live performance or listening to her recordings. Kristen’s current release, Smolder, is a story of fire — love ignited, ablaze and extinguished. DownBeat critic Bobby Reed writes “This elegant album illustrates what can happen when admirable ambition is paired with vocal vibrancy.” Alongside her inventive arrangements of jazz standards and pop hits, she also makes her debut as a songwriter of originality and craft. “Balm/Burn”, one of the originals, also provides the music for her first music video that has been lauded by pop and jazz critics alike. NeuFutur commented that with this video Kirsten “is able to refresh a storied jazz vocal tradition that traces its way back about 100 years.” Sergeant studied classical voice and had an extensive career as a stage actress before moving to NYC, where she found the intimacy of cabaret compelling, and eventually fell in love with jazz. “It wasn’t really a choice; I was captured by the music.” Kristen recollects, citing Marilyn Maye, Carmen McRae and Mark Murphy as inspirations, then and today. She began singing with a big band, worked with small combos in cigar bars, hookah lounges, nursing homes, “wherever I could”, she adds. Coupled with intensive study with singer/composer Tom Lellis, she evolved her vocal style and musicianship in a totally new direction, taking the best of what stage training offered and crafting her approach to jazz with intensive work. She won the Jazz Forum Arts vocal competition in 2014, and in addition to enthusiastic acclaim for her first album, Kristen has also performed at Birdland, Iridium, Zinc Bar, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Joe’s Pub and L.A.'s BlueWhale. In addition to her work in music, she is also a certified sommelier with experience in some of NYC’s best restaurants. Her creativity found its way into her work with wine in Two Notes, a Bordeaux blend from California she created with Ted Nash.

With heart and soul, every concert they play is a communion with the life force and the audience. Based in Mallorca/Spain, The Jay Kaye Band was formed in 1989 by St. Louis (Missouri) born Jay Kaye, son of guitar legend Mary Kaye. "Everything I Touch (Becomes The Blues)" was recorded in 1996 with Toby "Tobiwonkanobe" Taylor on the drum throne and Mallorquin bassist Jaume Amengual "Jimmy Slick" Torres. Although the line up has changed throughout the years Jay's song writing and musical energy remain constant. During the summer of 2001 Jay teamed up with Brahm Heidl, not only for his powerful bass playing, but also as song collaborator and producer. The live acoustic recording was produced in 2002 with Diego Ferral on drums "Live & Unplugged". Shortly after that Toby re-joined Jay & Brahm to complete the triangle and "the big turnaround" was recorded and completed in 2005. Jay die on february 10th 2015 |
