Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Matteo Candura | Matteo Candura | Matteo Candura is a (musician-producer-songwriter-remixer-artist-dj-engineer-mixer) born and raised in Sicily, Italy. He has a Conservatory Diploma (old system) in Piano, a Second Level Academic Diploma (Master’s Degree) in Musical Disciplines - Music Applied To Multimedia Contexts (Department of New Technologies and Musical Languages), both obtained after many years of study in various Conservatories of Music and a First-Level Specializing University Master Degree in Audio and Entertainment Engineering, he also plays the saxophone. Now he has recently achieved the status of Apple Certified Pro - Logic Pro X, AVID Certified Operator Pro Tools | Music and AVID Certified Operator Pro Tools | Post. He has also successfully obtained a B2 Level in English. His journey towards the world of House music began when he first started DJing at the age of 14, taking his cues from the golden age of turntablism and associated culture in the late '80s and early '90s. His attentions were led towards other sounds of the era, at the same time, enjoying their first heyday. His infatuation with those classic 4/4 club sounds is something that lives and breathes vividly in his music today. He has no lofty aspirations to play arena shows or break through into the mainstream of electronic music. He'd rather stay true to the scene and surroundings he loves and develop and grow therein. "I think the most important thing for me is that people take my music as a part of me, so I don't need to play for the biggest fees in the biggest clubs, I am mainly interested in the underground scene itself and being an active and creative part of it”, he says. He enjoys creating music from different styles like House (Deep, Classic, Soulful), Jazz, Soul, Gospel, Funk and more. Across the room, his eyes are closed as he is arranging the mix with perfect detail. It is amazing just to watch, as his mind and body are one with the music. His talent was soon recognized by people like Steve “Silk” Hurley (4-Time GRAMMY® Nominated Remixer) and Joe Smooth (House music legend). They welcomed him into their record labels (Steve “Silk” Hurley and Shannon Syas owners of S&S Records Inc., and Joe Smooth owner of Obelisk Production Multimedia and Indie Art Music) both in Chicago. The legend of House music, Joe Smooth, says, “Matteo is a fantastic talent and the sound of his productions are warm, soulful and contemporary”. Matteo got an exclusive interview of the legend of House Music, Joe Smooth, from Chicago. Recently, Joe Smooth also remixed and sang a new track by Matteo Candura (Analog Mood)! Soon, other legends of House Music will collaborate with Matteo on his next tracks as producers/singers/remixers! To date, he has worked with such great artists as Faith Evans, Bobby Jones, Steve “Silk” Hurley, Joe Smooth, Jamie Principle, Sterling Void, Jerry C. King, Kim Jay, Curtis McClain, Paris Brightledge, Superfunk, Jameisha Trice, Ron Louis Smith 2nd, Eddie Nicholas, Karina Chavez, Zachary Zamarripa, Somni, SNDSTRM, Cecy Santana, Rick Ross, Sarah Daye, Fatman Scoop, Sharon Pass, Monocles, Precious Maleho, Malisha Bleau, Eddie Cuesta, Tina Cox, Leon Monroe, Artispure, Fil Straughan, Camille Rodwell, S.E.L, Kandace Lindsey, Lauren Amaris, DJ Ross, Alessandro Viale, Elexis Ansley, etc. His music productions can be found on record labels as S&S Records Inc., Skalla Records, Undercool Production, Obelisk Production Multimedia, Kingdom D.M.G., Just4Funk, Indie Art Music, Sunpire Records,Tony Records, Docka, Pop Fidelity, Veksler Records, Cabana Recordings, Deep Strips, Quantize Recordings, Smile Creations, Armada Music, Bang Record, soon, also, in many other major/indie labels. Matteo works exclusively with analogue gear, high-end plug-ins and analogue mastering. His music goes from deep house to soulful and funky, combining old school references with brand new sounds. Combining his multifaceted skills with an ear towards House music's roots, Matteo Candura is a name to watch out for! Search | Add | 4 | The PrimeTime Sublime Community Orchestra | Musical project that performed music that [a3845633] wrote and produced. During its 7 years of existence from 2000 to 2008 the primeTime sublime Community Orchestra recorded 3 CDs on the [l10449] label with new music that doesn't fit anywhere, but received radio airplay in over 60 countries around the world, mostly in Europe and the U.S.; some of the music was also used in cable TV productions on MTV, VH1, Biography Channel, and others. The basic agenda was the fusion, juxtaposition and/or superimposition of simpler music (various forms of popular music) with more complex music (mostly avant-garde jazz, classical, electronic music) guided by a sense of humor, irony and often irreverence. In essence, it's about integrating extremes and opposites, different musics that don't normally belong together.

Search | Add | 4 | Ediktos Juveniles | Ediktos Juveniles, band from Posadas, Misiones, Argentina that moved between rock garage, hc and punx go go…. It started back in '95, at the end of that year. They met in the rock music scene of Posadas, which began to take shape around the year 92. By that year there were already many bands and a fairly large audience. Mali and Seko had known each other since ‘94 because they played together in a band called Necrology, a band whose music was very different from Ediktos . Javo and Misfit were part of those people who are always in shows and wanting to do things. They had a band that did not last long called Odio Extremo, and the four met each other precisely at concerts and as part of the same movement of people who liked rock and music with social content. With the passing of the years and many beautiful experiences in shows and rehearsals, they gave shape to what was their first album in April 1999, entitled "EDIKTOS JUVENILES, un banda posadeña que se movía entre el rock garage, el hc y el punx go go… . The doors were opened to them with outside gangs and it was possible to meet the gang in other places that crossed the borders of our province. They played in Buenos Aires on two occasions with the Boom Boom Kid, the first in La Trastienda for more than 1,000 people and the second on a mini tour that included three dates. Also in Mar del Plata, the interior of the province and in other provinces such as Corrientes, and even Paraguay, both in Encarnación (city opposite Pdas.) And in Asunción. In 2001, Ediktos underwent a change of member and joined the Carmelo guitar that came from playing in other bands (Basura S.A .. more precisely)

I had always used fake names when I was doing straight music so I just went with it. The time period was late-1990s to early-2000s. We did shows in our basement during that time. We called it the Sacred Garden and had quite a few traveling improvisers play there as well. It was all documented in a film called Music Of The Moment by a fellow named Kevin Wisor.

Search | Add | 4 | Nowhere Near The Garden | Strange name for a band? The name of the band originally comes from a marriage council guidance course, those who are unmarried are nowhere near the garden; the garden being the biblical garden of eden/perfection. Whatever you say pastor! Other theories include (but are not limited to) references to beer gardens, horticultural disasters, plant allergies and the mould growing on Jason's bed sheets (you wouldn't want to go anywhere near that garden). Garden party - The boys once ran up a £1175 bar tab in 4 days. The guitarist can't tell Kurt Cobain from James Hetfield - James doesn't listen to music on purpose, Jason and Rog once had to tell him who Kurt Cobain was. Metallicas sound man comes to the rescue Big Mick Hughes once got a call to help the band in a small smokey pub where he fixed a tiny vocal PA that had packed in. He has done sound for NNTG twice. The behind the scene stories this guy tells are priceless! Young musician of year - when not playing in the garden Jason is a classical percussionist; he has played with the CBSO and was a semi finalist in the young musician of the year competition. He graduated from music college on the Friday of Glastonbury. Rog is a classically trained composer (the two met at Birmingham Conservatoire) and has written a number of chamber, choral and orchestral pieces. Stolen gear - June 2003 the band had all of their gear stolen, £9000 in total. Other bands, friends and fans rallied round and supported by lending instruments and even donating cash. Regional TV and radio support as well. Gear is still missing. Senheisser competition winners - rog entered a competition advertised in Q. The band came 1st out of 1300 entries from UK and abroad. Band won 1st prize: £2500 cash, £2500 gear (which came in handy after the theft) and a spot on Glastonbury 04.

Search | Add | 4 | Bogdan Tașcău | Marian Bogdan Tașcău | Romanian singer, composer, producer born in 1978 He attended the keyboard section of People's Art School in Bucharest and he is a graduated actor. At present, he attends the classes of the Faculty of Communication and Public Relations (SNSPA) as a second year student, but he is obviously mainly focused on music. Both as a singer and as a manager or composer as well, Bogdan was lucky, finding the right solution to changing a song, a band or a musical project into a success. In 1995, together with one of his best friends, Sorin, Bogdan initiated one of the first dance bands in Romania - MB&C. In 1996, MB&C released the first album of dance music in Romania (only one side of the tape, together with Isteria on the other side), Romanian Jungle and a year later he would participate in one of the most popular musical events of that period, Radio Contact Galas. The band released 3 albums between 1995 and 2000 and after that, Bogdan made his option for a solo career, under the name of Dl Problemă ("Mr. Problem"). A very successful period followed again for Bogdan, who released, in the years 2001-2004, 3 albums. As a composer and manager, he collaborated with important voices of Romanian musical stage, like [a553972] or [a646610], and he is the composer and manager of the band [a1917648], already at its third album. In 2006, Bogdan's composition activity was awarded with the Prize for Artistic Excellence offered by the Foundation [a918339] in Mamaia Festival, in the creation section, with the song Muza mea (“My Muse”), interpreted by his two good collaborators and friends, Andrei and Kamara ([a1917648] components). In 2000 he founded [l504492] Currently he relaunched his career with new project ''Free DeeJays'' together with Rareș Varniote. |

Search | Add | 4 | Head Of Lies | Head of Lies was an alternative/hard rock band based in Portland, Oregon. Formed in 1995 in Stillwater, Oklahoma, Head of Lies spent two years writing and developing their sound, and playing shows around Oklahoma and Kansas. Early in 1997, they decided that it was time to commit some tracks to a recording. Using little more than an 8-track digital recorder and some descent microphones, Javier recorded the bands first demo, "The Missing Link" in the band's living room. Head of Lies fully produced the entire demo, including designing and creating all of the artwork for the CD. In early 1998, realizing that their opportunities were limited in Oklahoma, Head of Lies decided to relocate. Portland seemed an ideal choice. Arriving in late 1998, the band immediately started visiting local clubs and checking out music shows, both large and small. Deciding that their first demo was not representative of their current sound, Head of Lies got to work on a new EP. Finished in early August 1999, "Trapped Ugly" was again fully recorded and produced by the band. It has a much more professional sound to it. At this time, Head of Lies continued to write new material and play shows around the Portland area pursuing a career in the music industry. It was not until 2002 that they released their studio album Clay And Needles. After this, no further information was received from the band.

Search | Add | 4 | Last Joker | Last Joker was formed by Miguel Mega, Portuguese guitar player, in the late eighties in Santos, São Paulo, Brazil. In 1990 Last Joker recorded their first demo tape with the songs " Without You " , " Last Joker " , " Hold on Tight " and " Every Night " and started a career playing for eager crowds in the São Paulo state. Because of their musicality , stage presence and sold out concerts they got the attention of Metal Rock Records and recorded their first LP simply called " Last Joker " and toured Brazil supporting bands such as Sepultura, Angra, Dr. Sin, RDP among others. In the middle nineties the band broke up and Miguel Mega moved to LA and started a solo career and released around 10 instrumental solo cds and appeared on several compilations alongside Greg Howe (Howe II, Michael jackson, Maragold), Kiko Loureiro (Angra, Megadeth) among others . In 2014 Miguel Mega moved to the UK and regrouped Last Joker with singer Roddy B. (Avenger, Abbadon), guitarist Yves Martin, bassist Al Pringle and drummer Adam Proud and have just recorded their new cd release for Into the Limelight Records, Last Joker - Ulterior Motives and have released the video clip for the single " Kissed by the Lake". When the A&R scouts of Into The LimeLight Records listened to the new material it was clear that this was something different. Refreshing, fantastic rock songs, catchy and with a quality you may expect of these very experienced musicians. Reason to offer a contract straight away.
