Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

An enigma of anti hero sub culture, Nick Noro brings to you "Fleetwood Mac," his first crossover hip hop production, featuring lofi samples and abstractions that truly escape description. Nick Noro's stream of conscious verbiage has been described as a cross between James Joyce and Iceberg Slim. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Oua.ch | The trio oua.ch was founded in 2003 and presents with the exciting "The Essence Of A Deep Kiss" already their fourth CD. The three musicians have found the best interaction long ago and persuade with a wide range of musical influences – and they show in a perfect way, that innovative music does not have to be top-heavy. Unconventional, spontaneous and inventive is their repertoire and it results in a witty mixture of emotional and contemporary and multicultural self penned compositions. The band always knows how to surprise with their interactive improvisation. Strongly stamped by the sound of each individual instrumentalist, oua.ch balances ingeniously between stomach and tricky arrangements and let the diverse style influences unite to a special all. The trio surrounding known guitar master Markus Moser can more and more be seen and heard on stages all over Europe, but including some overseas visits such as at the Cuban Jazz-Festival in Havana and more. Have an eye on them and an ear for them! | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Mirjam van Dam | Mirjam Davida van Dam | From 1992 to 1993, Mirjam van Dam studied Contemporary Music Theatre at the Amsterdam University of the Arts. From 1993 to 1999, she studied vocals (department jazz & light music) at the Hilversum Conservatory and the Amsterdam Conservatory and graduated with honours. A reporter from newspaper Het Parool, who happened to be present, wrote: ‘A shining career in theatre, that’s what Mirjam van Dam deserves’. In 2011, she got her diploma in conducting from the Utrecht Conservatory. After her studies, she sang in various threatre, jazz, pop, bigband, salon, chanson and cabaret ensembles. She toured the Netherlands and Asia together with Laura Fygi, made an album titled Ziel (‘Soul’) and won singer-songwriter contest Mooie Noten. She also sang with the Glenn Miller Orchestra, the Bernhard Berkhout Orchestra, the New Jazz Orchestra (Henk Meutgeert), Lex Jasper (former conductor, arranger and pianist at the Metropole Orchestra), Rob Agerbeek and many others. She created various musical productions, such as How to get rid of Bette Midler (about second-generation victimhood), Ella (about the life of Ella Fitzgerald), Dead Singers Society (about the lives of Billie Holiday, Etta James, Judy Garland, Janis Joplin, Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse) and Let’s Eat! (with Wolf Martini). Together with Jetta Starreveld and Monique de Adelhart Toorop, she created two shows about music during World War II: Door de nacht klinkt een lied (‘A song sounds through the night’; about Conny Stuart, Jetty Paerl and Jetty Cantor) and Hoor de vrouwen zingen (‘Hear the women sing’; about Gisela Söhnlein, Hetty Voûte, Lotty Huffener-Veffer and David Koker). The premiere of Hoor de vrouwen zingen took place at Camp Vught National Memorial. In order to keep singing and reaching an audience during the covid pandemic, she began the project A song and a story. Sitting at the piano, she recorded videos in which she sang a song and told a story about its origin. A new episode was posted on social media each week. Presently, in 2023, she performs Jewish Jazz (a project about the Jewish history of jazz music, set up by Gary Feingold of KunstenDialoog) and is working on a Yiddish music repertoire and CD with Bob Zimmerman. Together with Lex Jasper, there are plans for a CD in Dutch. |

| Search | Add | 2 | Lucy Ishkhanian | Lucy Ishkanian Tankian | Internationally recognized pianist who performed in the major concert halls around the world to great acclaim, died in a hospital in New York City on April 20. She was 80. Her nine tours from 1962 to 1979 throughout the former Soviet Union was part of the "Special Prize" award she received from the jury of the Second International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. She also was sent on tour by the US Department of State Cultural Program and performed throughout the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Western Europe, Argentina, and the United States under the management of impresario Sol Hurok. In 1971, she was presented by Hurok at her debut at Philharmonic Hall (now Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center.) A native New Yorker of Armenian descent, she gave her first recital at age seven, two years after becoming the youngest student ever accepted to the Juilliard School Preparatory Division. She continued her education there as a scholarship winner for 15 years, and graduated with both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees. She also completed requirements for a PH.D degree at Columbia University. Among her teachers were Beveridge Webster and Rosina Lhevinne. She also coached with some of the greatest musicians, including pianists Mieczeslaw Horszowski, Yakov Fliere, Emil Gilels, and composer Aram Khachaturian who entrusted her with the American premiere of his Piano Sonata. Among her greatest achievements was the foundation of the Juilliard-Komitas friendship program in 1992, enabling gifted students from the Komitas Conservatory in Yerevan, Armenia to be admitted to The Juilliard School in New York to continue their musical education. Ms. Ishkanian was an honorary professor at the Komitas Conservatory, and served as president of the jury for the graduation examinations. Ms. Ishkanian also was a distinguished member of international piano competition juries around the world, including the First International Aram Khachaturian Piano Competition in Yerevan in 1997, the First International Rachmaninoff Piano Competition in Los Angeles, CA in 2002, as well as the Dorothy MacKenzie Artist Recognition Awards at the International Keyboard Institute and Festival in New York City. Ms. Ishkanian is survived by her husband, Hagop Tankian. A brother, Vahe, predeceased her. There will be a 40th day requiem service on Sunday at the St. Illuminator's Armenian Apostolic Cathedral, located at 221 East 27th Street in New York City, starting at 11:30am, after which there will be a musical tribute and a reception. Donations in her memory may be made to the Armenian Scholarship Fund at The Juilliard School. Published in The New York Times on May 30, 2014 |
