Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | Howski | Howski is a producer, born in the west of France in the 90's. He discovered electronic music when he moved to Paris, especially at REX Club, and immediately had a strong interest in it. Then, he decided to start a project named [a2744492] with three other friends, sharing the same taste for dark minimal beats and atmospheres. A few releases later, including on [l1264839] and [l358411], he felt his taste evolving more and more to a raw/dub Techno sound so he started producing solo under a new alias, Howski, and finally decided to take his own way and focus on this new project. Working hard, his skills has naturally improved and a very own style came out from this.

Search | Add | 4 | Skandinavia | Skandinavia | Upon hearing of a new band formed by ex-Bellatrix singer/songer Eliza Newman and featuring former Crashland bassist Martin Maddaford, your correspondent became all misty-eyed, recalling the halcyon days when being ‘indie’ involved dancing to the Evening Session and getting ink smudges from glossy copies of the Melody Maker (sniff). Far from being a Class of 2000 alt.pop supergroup (Fierce Panda contingent), Skandinavia are actually embracers of Rawk Music and duly have the riffery to prove it. New single 'Never Too Late' comes on like a slab of early ‘90s power metal, with layered wailing vocals, soaring violin and thumping bass, but without the ‘ironic’ factor that could have them labelled as a typical ‘post-Darkness’ band (even though Dan Hawkins once played guitar for them). Meanwhile B-side 'Storm' is reminiscent of 'Pablo Honey'-era Radiohead given more oomph, dusted with string accompaniment and replacing Thom for PJ Harvey. Plus the lyrical content is said to concern Nordic mythology, which is a far cry from singing about Star Wars fanatics and wetting yourself in front of potential boyfriends. Stormy, mystical and highly enjoyable Iceland rock it is, then. Vocals, Violin – Eliza Newman Bass – Martin Maddaford Drums – Dave Collinder Guitar – Claire Wakeman |

Dorotabou was formed while Laukaus was still active. The band members operated their own label [l=生存不能 レコード] (Seizon Funo Records). "Dorotabou "Kyomu no kukan" MCDR - The first track starts you off on a march reminiscent of the hard punk of The Stalin and the second track doesn't relent, but turns the march to high gear with the only break the chants of "ASA! HIRU! BAN!!" with a high-pitched scream reminiscent of Yokai from Laukaus/Kruw on their recent recordings. By "Niku" (not a Stalin cover) the listener gets a chance to slow down and shuffle their feet a bit into the fourth track, a downward spiral into madness, only broken by shouted-out gang vocals. Picture a Japanese Igyy Pop with his throng of devoted fans pumping their fists and working themselves into a frenzy by the end of the song - that's how this one goes. After five tracks of solid hard punk, you're treated to an Aburadako cover ("Erusaremu no kutsujyoku") that's done quite well. This one is recommended for fans of Aburadako, The Stalin, SS, and other classic Japanese bands before Gism took over and turned punk on its ear." (by Terminal Boredom) |

Search | Add | 4 | Taming The Outback | Taming The Outback were a three-piece from Southend-on-Sea (Essex, UK) and were ... * Daryl Amos >> Drums * Tony Sampson >> Guitar & Vocals * Jason Sherwin >> Bass (died in 2011) The band were active from 1986 to 1989. While they spent most of their time playing outside of the town itself, they were very much a Southend band and established a large and loyal following all across the UK. The original three members formed after criss-crossing each other’s musical paths in South East Essex in the early 1980s. Melbourne-born drummer Daryl Amos and bass player Jason Sherwin first played together in local band A Wreath For Brezhnev, later meeting-up with guitarist/singer Tony Sampson, who was then playing in the band Playground, to form Taming The Outback – a band characterized by an aggressive, driven, rhythm section, strong self-penned songs with a rich, echo-saturated wall-of-sound guitar. Taming The Outback soon began recording at Elephant Studios in East London, where they recorded their debut single Blue Heart / Fire & Smoke – now a minor rarity due to limited distribution and a tiny pressing of 500 copies. However, their public profile rapidly changed when the band attracted local and national press attention with their infamous “crucifixion” publicity shoot – taken (without permission) on Salvation Army land. At the time it was claimed to be in protest over “religious hypocrisy” and “obscenity of ownership of vast tracts of land in the hands of the churches.” It was, of course, pure coincidence that the band were also preparing for a second single: Eight-Hour King / Crack In Your Brain. The image found itself splashed over the local newspaper, The Evening Echo, accompanied by headlines screaming “Blasphemous!”, “Sick!” and a multitude of complaints by local Christian groups. Soon after, national UK tabloids picked up on the story. Whether or not it was a cheap publicity stunt, atheistic protest or a work of art is still a subject of debate among those who remember it. Nevertheless, the punk and post-punk generation always regarded religious, political and other national institutions as legitimate targets for comment. Playing live became a primary focus for the band but the endless gigging, drinking and the failure to release the aforementioned second single and the LP (already recorded) probably marked the beginning of the end of the band. Taming The Outback itself played their last gigs in 1989 with the aggression being turned inwards between personnel and instruments.

Movement and sounds characterize Langebartels sound sculptures as event sculptures. Each of his sculptures has its own particular time structure, its own particular rhythm. Following this rhythm the sculpture moves or sounds or emits light. All sculptures are controlled automatically, most of them by a random time structure. Arranged together in a space they form an ensemble of events, that pulses in a complex rhythm with sequences and coincidences and pauses. Rolf Langebartels founded the non-profit gallery Galerie Giannozzo in 1978. Gianozzi played an important part in the early days of sound-art, presenting early exhibitions & performances by Rolf Julius, Christina Kubisch, Toine Horvers, Fritz Gilow, Raffael Rheinsberg, Takehisa Kosugi, Martin Riches, Philip Corner, Alvin Curran, Felix Hess, and many more. In 1986 the gallery was transformed into the art association Kunstverein Giannozzo.

Search | Add | 4 | Ediktos Juveniles | Ediktos Juveniles, band from Posadas, Misiones, Argentina that moved between rock garage, hc and punx go go…. It started back in '95, at the end of that year. They met in the rock music scene of Posadas, which began to take shape around the year 92. By that year there were already many bands and a fairly large audience. Mali and Seko had known each other since ‘94 because they played together in a band called Necrology, a band whose music was very different from Ediktos . Javo and Misfit were part of those people who are always in shows and wanting to do things. They had a band that did not last long called Odio Extremo, and the four met each other precisely at concerts and as part of the same movement of people who liked rock and music with social content. With the passing of the years and many beautiful experiences in shows and rehearsals, they gave shape to what was their first album in April 1999, entitled "EDIKTOS JUVENILES, un banda posadeña que se movía entre el rock garage, el hc y el punx go go… . The doors were opened to them with outside gangs and it was possible to meet the gang in other places that crossed the borders of our province. They played in Buenos Aires on two occasions with the Boom Boom Kid, the first in La Trastienda for more than 1,000 people and the second on a mini tour that included three dates. Also in Mar del Plata, the interior of the province and in other provinces such as Corrientes, and even Paraguay, both in Encarnación (city opposite Pdas.) And in Asunción. In 2001, Ediktos underwent a change of member and joined the Carmelo guitar that came from playing in other bands (Basura S.A .. more precisely)
