Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 5 | Manuel C. Ferrón | Manu Ferrón | We'll remember 2013 as the year we finally convinced Manu Ferrón, the elusive cult figure-singer-songwriter from Granada,to publish and record music under his own name. Unanimiedad was his debut single with only two tracks: “A Trabajar” and “El Mueble”, just five minutes of timeless and elegant pop in the vein of Teenage Fanclub or Love. Manu Ferrón is well known in Spain as the co-leader of Grupo de Expertos Solynieve (where the other 50% is Jota, of Los Planetas' fame), and also as the writer of several minor hits for a few independent bands. Recently, he has also been collaborating on the Spanish translation of Franco Battiato's last album lyrics. And now he is blowing our heads off with his brand new 10'', Misericordia, five songs almost entirely made of choruses and epiphanies, wonderfully and strangely entwined with artists such as Big Star, Randy Newman or Guided by Voices. Quoting Heraclitus, you'll never play the same song twice, and that's exactly what happens with “Cara de Astro”. Originally composed in 1993, it has been on a constant journey through languages, titles, lineups and intentions. Now, it's all about the famous quote by Uruguayan football player Enzo “El Príncipe” Francescoli, who once literally said that “you just can only play well when you can and when they let you do it” . “Cara de Astro” is full of energy and has an effervescent approach to the listener, exemplifying an essential motivation for Manu: Do it NOW. Do it now, instead of “I would prefer not to” (classic Bartleby, the Scrivener). But now, it's the perfect time. “Me quedo”, apparently a “girl-meets-boy” song, could be also understood as a “man in front of the mirror” or a “world, oh, world, listen to me” story. The chords that surround it could remind you of Robert Pollard with a dark, psychedelic, twist. There is also a slight, smart, even casual reference to traditional Andalusian music. Landing between Zumpano or Teenage Fanclub, this 10” has also pop-like revenges against intellectual elites, like “Enemigo que Huye”, “Precisamente de esta manera” –maybe the one more close to indie-rock tradition, or the jewel in the crown, “Secreto a voces” where Ferrón witty talks about the rottenness of artistic creation and the fake truths that, with our tacit approval, are killing art and feeding the mass culture industry. Misericordia is anchored with songs deeply filled with melodies sounding like survivors from a wild storm that finally land home, getting more and more close to perfection after bloody fights with inner devils. All of them are inhabited with emotions, memories, proclaims, and spiritual, almost private stuff, a gift for the wise listener. |

| Search | Add | 5 | Ami Collé Dieng | Amy Collé Dieng | Amy Collé Dieng is part of a younger generation of female singers in Senegal. Born in the town of Thies, 70 km East of Dakar, she grew up in Dakar. Youssou N'Dour has seen her sing when she was young, and she remained in contact with him over the years. Since 2003, she has been part of Youssou's Super Etoile de Dakar as a backing vocal. Amy participated in international tours with the Super Etoile, also following the release of « Egypt », the Grammy Award-winning album with traditional musicians from Dakar as well as Egypt [1]. Amy also sang as backing vocal with Ndongo Lo and Kiné Lam [2]. In 2006, Amy Collé recorded her first album « Defar Ba Mou Baax » for the label Jololi, the label of Youssou N'Dour. The album was an instant success, and the title song is still a well-loved song in Senegal. The success seemed to have a side-effect as well, as in 2009, the singer started a legal procedure against a publicity company because of unauthorised use of the song in a TV ad for Rama butter in Senegal [3]. In 2011, she leaves Jololi and signs with the Dub Records label in the Netherlands. Amy Collé recorded with Dub Records her second album «Maturité » in 2013. With popular new songs such as « Naby », « Fans Yi » and « Sama Choix », several high-standard video clips were made, and plans were ready for an international tour. In 2019, she came back with a single « Muñel », again for Prince Arts. |

| Search | Add | 5 | Domna Samiou Ensemble | Domna Samiou was born on October 12th 1928, in the Kaisariani1 neighborhood in Athens and died on March 10th 2012. Her parents were refugees from the village of Baindir in the Smyrna (Izmir) area. Her mother came to Greece in 1922, whilst her father, who was a prisoner of war, arrived slightly later during the exchange of populations2. During her childhood years she lived the harsh life of a refugee, but was also surrounded with the humane solidarity of the refugee communities. That is where she acquired her deep connection with popular culture and her aptitude to participate. It was in these surroundings that she also came into contact with music for the first time and where she acquired her love for folk music. At the age of thirteen, whilst attending night school, Domna Samiou also began to receive her first formal musical training from Simon Karas at the Association for the Dissemination of National Music, where she was tutored in Byzantine and Folk music, as well as being introduced to the idea of field research in music. Her first professional collaboration with the National Radio Foundation (E.I.R.)3 started when she was a member of the Simon Karas choir. In 1954 she became a full time employee of the station, working in the ‘National Music Section’4. Through her work there, she came in contact with the leading traditional musicians of the day, who were part of the greater migration wave at the time from the countryside to Athens. The National Music Section was busy recording such musicians and as a result, she became acquainted with all the various local musical styles. At the same time she was conducting the musical supervision for records, theatrical programs and films. In 1963 she started touring the countryside independently, to record music for the archive she was establishing, using her own means and equipment. In 1971 Domna Samiou left her radio job and importantly, later in the year, accepted an invitation by the composer and performer Dionysis Savvopoulos to start performing at a club called Rodeo, (see The first concerts) frequented by a youthful anti-junta5 audience. This marked the beginning of Domna Samiou's impact on the appreciation of folk music by the younger generations in Greece. Soon after she performed at the English Bach Festival in London, which was being run by Lila Lalandi at the time. It was a triumphant start to a brilliant musical career. 'It made people overcome the embarrassment they felt for folk music' as she herself stated later. | |

Dave began sending Ken his video recordings from live performances, which included some with former-collaborator, [a=Stuart Rosenzweig], and eventually it was decided that during Ken's visits to Maryland, he and Dave could perform as a duo, calling themselves Safe Creations. Their first concert was a benefit for An Die Musik, which hired national acts in the classical and jazz field to perform there. This being a success, the following year [2013] found them doing two shows, one in Baltimore and one in Washington D.C., which had a growing interest in electronic music. With an Advance CD having been distributed at their first concert, Ken decided that [a=Safe Creations] should have a studio album, so he went to work on the first official release on Bandcamp, "Unconscious Power". | |

It allowed many anonymous, often young artists without experience, to make their first record, without looking too much at quality. He is also at the initiative of the creation of the band [a2437420] which will play the accompaniment of most of the music recorded by his studio. He will also be known to have been the boss of " The Scotch Club " a night club in Saint-Denis, the capital around 1963 to 1975. He also owes a large number of photographs of the artists, which can be found on the records sleeves. No one has heard of him since his precipitous departure from the island in 1975. |

| Search | Add | 5 | Kin Teal | tactile (club) music Kin Teal is a Budapest based producer, making organic and tactile music that’s rooted in club culture. Kin Teal as a project is meant to express the contrast and connection between nature and humanity, and juxtapose natural textures with machine-made ones. This sensibility is expressed via ever-twisting bass music with influences far and wide geographically and stylistically. His live sets see him rearrange existing tracks into new constellations and explore unheard-before and improvised soundscapes. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Oxygyn | We are Oxygyn, an indie-pop band based in Malta with a passion for making music that matters. Oxygyn is composed of sibling duo Kurt Abela and Katia Abela, with lyrics written by Kurt Abela, music composed by J A N J U produced by Funky Monkey and Zack on guitar. Our aim is to make music that inspires others, the same music has always inspired us, by exploring important human and social issues through song. Oxygyn was established in December 2015, with the release of our debut original single CORRODE. The song reached No.2 on Malta’s Top 10 Chart (89.7 BAY), and the music video has garnered over 14,000 views on YouTube. We followed this up with WOLVES WITHOUT TEETH, a cover version of the song originally released by Of Monsters & Men, in September 2016. In 2017, we started transitioning from acoustic and piano-based music into a more modern and polished sound that like to describe as indie-pop. We got to perform at several local music festivals for the first time, including the Farsons Beer Festival, Rock the South and the Beland Music Festival, and we also opened for Joe Roscoe during a gig in July. This evolution culminated in the release of our original single BUBBLEWRAP in November 2017, which debuted with radio play on XFM 100.2’s Big Drive Home with Trudy Kerr, and was accompanied by an elaborate music video produced by 141 Records. BUBBLEWRAP reached No.1 on Malta’s Top 10 Chart (89.7 BAY) in January 2018, and the music video reached over 11,000 people on social media in a matter of weeks. In 2020, we hope to release more original material and to continue performing it lives for diverse audiences. Follow us on our social media platforms to stay tuned for more info about upcoming music, gigs and more. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | OWMI | OWMI is a duo based in Copenhagen, Denmark. They invite you into an eclectic and memorable musical universe that is both forward thinking, present and felt. The soundscapes balances organic and handplayed instrumentation with electronic elements, topped off with exquisite soulful vocals. Associations are many and easily connect you with Frank Ocean, Vampire Weekend, Dirty Projectors and Kendrick Lamar, but OWMI are without a doubt their own. In October 2019 OWMIs debut album Tourner was released. An introspective and explorative mini album with a runtime of 21 minutes. Following years three alternative session versions of songs from the album was released with videos and bundled on 'Tourner Sessions'. OWMI will in 2024 release singles from their upcoming project. Their new batch of releases in 2024 point to a new sonic direction. A more outward-reaching, energetic and extroverted feeling. | |
