Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | The Legitimate Excuse | The Legitimate Excuse (TLE), TLE was formed in 2001 in Pennsylvania by me and my great friend Nick Onorato. After recording an EP "Always The Last To Know" and an LP "For Reasons Left Unsaid" on our own in a storage shed, we decided to move the band to Baltimore, Maryland where bassist Phil Sweeney and drummer Kris Gobeil hopped on board. In the summer of 2002 we drove down to Florida and entered our first real studio where we recorded the full length record "Pathetic, Ordinary" (which is where the Alesana song title derived from. It was my way of paying tribute to TLE). After playing shows for over a year, Patrick Thompson (guitarist of Alesana and my co-writer for the last 9 years) joined the band where he actually played his first ever rock show. Not too long after, the members of TLE parted ways, some to finish college, others to start new projects. Shawn - lead vocals/guitar/keyboard Nick - backup vocals/guitar Phil - backup vocals/bass Kris - drums

Pushing the boundaries of genre conventions, he artfully blended captivating melodies, evocative lyricism, and innovative production techniques. Each track defied expectations, immersing listeners in an evocative journey through sound. In the midsummer of 2019, Bennett found himself embraced by the esteemed Latin American Hip-Hop collective known as Black Future. Collaborating with diverse artists from this dynamic group, Bennett embarked on a creative voyage, honing his craft and developing his unique sound. Drawing inspiration from synths and samples, complemented by panned percussions and distorted vocals, he unwittingly forged a new sonic landscape along the enchanting northern coast of Sinaloa. This became his unmistakable production signature, leaving an indelible mark on the local music scene. During this transformative year, Bennett released his critically acclaimed single "Asaltar un OXXO," a provocative composition that sparked controversy and challenged societal norms, pushing the boundaries of artistic expression. Following a prolonged four-year hiatus, during which he diligently worked on various projects that did not come to fruition, Bennett triumphantly returned to the music scene. In the year 2023, he unveiled "overdose, love," an immersive offering featuring an array of esteemed guest artists such as Mariant, Yung Ríos, Sebastian Mouth, Nirket, BRUKLIN600, and J'dem. This collaboration served as a testament to Bennett's creative brilliance, as he effortlessly blended their talents to craft a mesmerizing auditory experience. Subsequently, he released his highly anticipated second studio album, "grayscale," a work of art that delves into the intricacies of the human experience through a kaleidoscope of sonic hues. |

Search | Add | 4 | Lucas Stagg | The great Canadian artist Fred Eaglesmith once remarked that he believed one day southern Ontario will be viewed much like Texas in terms of how many great singer/songwriters each region has produced. What he heard was a common voice, capable of expressing all the joy, pain, fun and frustration of living in a place where the past and present are always seemingly at odds; a voice able to channel this tension into a sound that can’t strictly be called country, blues or rock and roll, but a bastard offspring of all three. This is Lucas Stagg. The Kitchener, Ontario native, now based in Toronto's Junction, has toured endlessly and released a dozen albums over the past decade, each a reflection of Stagg's choice of the troubadour life. By turns confessional and narrative, his songs are presented in an unadorned performance and production style that throws their lyrical and melodic content into sharp relief.

Search | Add | 4 | Planetary Overdrive | Band Members Dan Sturdevant - Guitars / Vocals Natalie Sturdevant - Bass / Vocals Russ Wallace - Keys / Vocals Jarrett Nash - Drums Hometown Louisville, Kentucky Biography Planetary Overdrive formed in March 2016 when husband and wife duo Dan and Natalie Sturdevant wanted to start a Southern Rock band to play the songs Dan had been writing for a few years. They quickly found a drummer (Cam Thomas) and started playing the Louisville club scene. The self titled EP was recorded in fall and winter of ‘16/’17 and released March 2017. It was met with positive reviews by local critics, with John King of 37 Flood remarking, ”The album plays as if Randy Bachman (from Bachman turner Overdrive) recorded an album with Billy Gibbons (of ZZ Top) backed by The Donnas. Which is to say, it is a straight up party record. The first track, Party Weekend, is a testament to Planetary Overdrive's skill at rocking the party.” Shortly after the release of the EP long time friend and collaborator of the band Russ Wallace joined in with his talents on keys and vocals, rounding out the three part harmonies. In June 2018 Planetary Overdrive released their self produced album Boneyard. This album widened PO’s sound, featuring Eli Hall on pedal steel guitar, Travis Stanton on saxophone, and a number of friends lending their voices with background vocals. Boneyard received more favourable reviews, with Scott Recker of LEO saying, “The songs on Boneyard are singular, explosive moments, aimed at slicing into a time and place that is easily relatable, and capable of unlocking memories.” Jake Hellman of the Never Nervous blog declared, “Southern rock is not dead. With their latest release Boneyard, Planetary Overdrive are doing their part to carry on the top down, beer chugging, guitar fueled rock of some of the great classic rock acts like Molly Hatchet and Lynyrd Skynyrd. No need to reinvent the wheel here, just pick up your guitar and shred.” Another line up shift occurred shortly after the release of Boneyard with the departure of Cam Thomas on drums and the arrival of the vastly accomplished and adept Jarrett Nash, picking up the sticks. Planetary Overdrive is currently in their studio working on their next album. The band plans on rocking the party for some time to come!

Search | Add | 4 | Christs Nails | Christs Nails was a 2-man project, which came about in the late '80ies and from then on gathered at irregular times, producing dark and twisted musical experiments. Based primarily on classical piano (later substituted by keyboards) and vocals, the music has an eerie touch, which is strenghtened by the raw, hoarse, sometimes whispering voices. Throughout the years the bands line-up remained the same. In a way the band still exists, and will actually never cease to exist, even though there have been and will be no new releases after the third demo, dating from 1996. The whereabouts of the bandmembers have always been and remain a mystery. Their only intention ever was to express their innermost dark emotions through their music, and some of this has survived on the 3 demos recorded between 1992 and 1996. Much more was taped, but never released and ultimately destroyed by the band, as the music was never really intended for the public.

Even as an officer, he already started composing and performing on the violin with gypsy ensembles. He left the army on January 1, 1906 and focused on his musical career, composing and touring at the head of his own gypsy band. Among Fráter's best-known songs are "Őszirózsa" (Lily Of The Valley), "Száz Szál Gyertyát" (One-hundred Candles), "Tele Van A Város Akácfavirággal" (The City Is Full Of Acacia Flowers). His brother [a=Fráter Béla] was a composer as well. |

Search | Add | 4 | Steady States | Steady States began as a casual jamming project between Mark and Kyle. After a while, some song ideas developed and they decided to form an actual band. After some false starts with different drummers, they settled on Bob, whose solid, powerful, hardcore punk-informed drumming perfectly complemented Kyle’s melodic bass lines and Mark’s angular, dissonant guitar riffs. The lineup was solidified in February 2011 with the addition of Joel on vocals and guitar. Joel’s unhinged and oddball vocal sensibilities turned out to be well-suited for the band’s strangely natural-sounding mix of hardcore, noise and post-punk skronk.

If it's not done there then it's during his night shift at a nearby roadside hotel. What is most noticeable about Tired Moth's outsider-style is the mysterious tones it takes through the combination of field recordings, lo-fi drum patterns, and fuzzy ambient guitar drones. It's all of that and more to create an outsider-art perspective on what could easily be an eerie score to any David Lynch production. |

Search | Add | 4 | A Room Swept White | A Room Swept White were originally born at the tail-end of 2011 in the South East of England. The fiery five-piece wanted to create a sound that inspires and attacks the senses, and they have certainly more than fulfilled their objective. With a keen ear for hearty riffs and pummelling hooks, A Room Swept White have etched out a sound that is hard-hitting, yet still inventive; and that’s no easy task given the present over-saturation within the metalcore genre. ARSW have sparked glowing comparisons to The Ghost Inside, Architects and Of Mice & Men; and although they’ve pulled from their influences, they’ve still managed to create a sound uniquely their own.
